Abstract:
Ayurveda is the most ancient medical science of the world. It is practiced to attain Chaturvidha Purusharthas namely Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. Shareera becomes main Sadhana for attaining these Purusharthas. Ayurveda gives importance to both Shareerika and Manasika Swasthya equally. Vata, Pitta, Kapha popularly known as Tridoshas are chief functional components of the body. Equilibrium of these Doshas is very essential for maintenance of all activities in the body. When these Doshas are balanced, all activities related to body, mind and senses occur smoothly. With this, one can enjoy a status of perfect health and immunity. On the other hand these Doshas are imbalanced, they cause various diseases. Shareera and Manas are inter-related. Always Shareera follows Manas and Manas follows Shareera. Vata Dosha is known to be related with Rajo Guna and thereby we can see effect of fluctuation of theses Doshas in Shareera, results in different conditions. So, in case of vitiation of Vata, there is also vitiation of Rajo Guna which ultimately vitiates Manas and its attributes. So, it can be said that, Vata acts as the root cause of different Manasa Roga.

Ayurveda considered human body as combination of Sharir, Satva, Indriyas and Atma. These all together forms various constitution of body, Sharir represents physical constitution, Satva, Indriyas and Atma governed activity of Sharir. Satva represents Manas constitution, it govern psychic and psycho-somatic manifestations. Indriyas associated with sensory functioning and Atma represent something that is subtle in nature and associated with divine power. Manas is responsible for mental functioning, which is greatly affected by Ahara and Vihara. Similarly Atma related with spiritual power that also govern moral attire of individual. The psychological and psychosomatic disorders mainly arise due to the improper functioning of Manas. The Manas Roga also associated with life style pattern and social behavior. The balancing state of Satva helps to cure Manas Roga and this state can be achieved by following rules of Ahara, Vihar, Pathya and Apathya. The spiritual well being or moral conduction helps to establish balances of Manas thus restrict pathogenesis of Manas Roga. Keywords: Ayurveda, Manas, Satva, Atma, Manas Roga

Abstract:
The article deals with the problems of comparative study of the epic "Manas" and the epic "Mahabharata" in higher medical educational institutions in the discipline "Manas studies". Regardless of the form of ownership, the discipline "Manas Studies" is taught in higher educational institutions. Due to the increase in the number of young people studying in medical educational institutions from the Republic of India, in order to ensure effective teaching of the discipline "Manas Studies", the comparative study of the epic "Mahabharata" and the epic "Manas" is relevant today. The comparative study of epics on the world stage plays an effective role in the development of foreign medical students, first as individuals, and then as doctors, by studying the similarities and differences between the epics of the two peoples through the prism of history, literature, traditions, culture and religion. Using historical, sociological, comparative and statistical methods of comparative teaching when teaching the discipline "Manas Studies" in higher educational institutions, comparing the epics "Manas" and "Mahabharata", we strive to preserve and transmit national values from generation to generation to students studying in the medical field.

Abstract:
The heroic Epic “Manas”, the artistic heritage of the Kyrgyz people, is widespread not only in the Kyrgyz Republic, but also among ethnic Kyrgyz living in the People’s Republic of China. Here the epic exists in several versions in the mouths of numerous manaschi narrators, among which the most famous is the manaschi Jusup Mamay. The interest of the scientific world to “Manas” is enormous, which explains the relevance of the issue under consideration. Researches on this unique monument of verbal folklore are conducted not only by scientists from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Great Britain, France, Turkey, but also by scientists from the People’s Republic of China. The work purpose is to highlight the exploratory activity of Chinese scientists in the field of Manas Studies. Among them the most famous for their deep scientific research are Muhammed Hu Zhenhua, Lan Yin, Adyl Jumaturdu, Mambetturdu Mambetakun, Tokon Isak, Ysakbek Beishenbek. They made a huge contribution to the development of Manas Studies in China. However, their research is still little known in Russian and Kyrgyz folklore studies, which signifi-cantly narrows the research field in the study of the Kyrgyz heroic epic “Manas”. We consider the research of Chinese Manas Studies scholars, briefly describe their scientific books, articles, define their contribution to the world Manas Studies. This work significantly adds to the data on scientists who study the Epic “Manas”.

Abstract:
A healthy population of the threatened Eastern Swamp Deer Rucervus duvaucelii ranjitsinhi in Manas National Park was almost exterminated due to politico-ethnic disturbances in the late 1980s that culminated with the formation of Bodoland Territorial Council in 2003. The Swamp Deer population in Manas began to revive with augmentation starting in 2014, in keeping with a UNESCO World Heritage Site Committee mandate. The Eastern Swamp Deer population in Kaziranga was threatened by the annual flood of the Brahmaputra River, and to secure the future of this threatened species, 36 deer were relocated in two batches in 2014 and 2017 from Kaziranga to Manas. The population of Manas had grown to an estimated 121 individuals by March 2021. Swamp deer is considered an important prey species for Swamp Deer population top predators, especially tigers, which have also increased in number in Manas over the last decade. Thus the revival of Eastern Swamp Deer has contributed to the rewilding programme of the Manas landscape.

Abstract:
heroic epic of Manas and the publication of its parts in the twentieth century. The purpose of the article is to determine the place of the famous monograph “The Kyrgyz heroic epic of Manas” by M. O. Auezov in a series of works on epic studies. Objectives of the article: to describe M. O. Auezov’s research dedicated to the Kyrgyz epic of Manas from the standpoint of defining the functions of manaschi (storyteller, poet, shaman) and the preserved pre-Islamic cult of ancestors among the Kyrgyz; to substantiate M. O. Auezov in the aspect of Kyrgyz studies and Manas studies. The relevance of the work consists in summarizing the contribution of M. O. Auezov to Kyrgyz and Manas Studies in connection with new trends in education in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, caused by the adoption of the Law “On the Manas Epic” in 2011. The scientific novelty of the work lies in a new approach to understanding the works by M. O. Auezov in the aspect of theory of mentality, that is practically not involved in literary practice. M. O. Auezov introduced into scientific circulation the terms associated with the performers of the epic, yrchi and zhomokchi. He was the first to describe the history of Kyrgyz manaschi ‒ storytellers: from a contemporary of Manas Keldibek to Sagymbay Orozbаkov, a contemporary of M. O. Auezov. Manas himself chooses those who will perform the epic dedicated to him. The text of the epic keeps the spirit of the people, i. e. the heroic epic of Manas contains the spiritual basis of Kyrgyz culture, its mentality. M. O. Auezov summarized the data on manaschi and outlined their main functions: a storyteller, a poet, a shaman. The scientist pointed to the pre-Islamic cult of ancestors that has come down to us among the Kyrgyz people. Keywords: the epic of Manas, manaschi, pre-Islamic Turkic spiritual culture, works by M. Abstract:
This study discusses the concepts of Khizra, the forty chiltanas in the epic poem "Manas". The great epic poem of the Kyrgyz people "Manas" contains symbols of many epochs and concepts of Islam that require a separate study. Many words have appeared due to the spread of Islam among the Kyrgyz. In ancient works, there are frequent mentions of words that are incomprehensible to most people such as archaisms and neologisms. In the epic poem, there are episodes where Manas met Khizra, the forty chiltanas, and they told the hero about Islam and told him to follow the path of God. They also help the hero Manas in any difficult situation. This is found in almost all versions of the epic poem "Manas". This study used several research methods including analysis. The concepts of these words were analyzed based on the variants of S. Orozbakov and S. Karalaev. The study also analyses the motives in the epic poem "Manas" in the plot composition of various versions of this legend and the themes revolving around the miraculous birth of the hero and heroic amusements.

Abstract:
The epic Manas deals with the struggles led by the Kyrgyz against their various opponents and oppressors. According to the legend, Manas is the first one who gathered the sparse Kyrgyz tribes and gave them a united land. His son Semetey and grand-son Seytek would pursue his legacy. In 1995, Manas was at the centre of an international cultural focus as the celebrations of its so-called millenary were held in Kyrgyzstan. From then on, the status of Manas went through uncertainties, and eventually disappeared from the political scene between 2005 and 2010.In 2009, China nominated the Manas epic in the UNESCO on behalf of its Kyrgyz minority creating a scandal in Kyrgyzstan. Until 2013, when Kyrgyzstan nominated on its own the "Kyrgyz Epic Trilogy" (Manas, Semetey, Seytek) in the UNESCO, Manas knew a real reinforcement in the country.During this eventful period appeared a new kind of recitation, called "lengthy-recitation", running through several days and organized annually. Those new recitations gather most of the manasčı (the bard who tells Manas) of the country and aim at popularise the epic under a traditional shape (to tell Manas).Nevertheless, we cannot speak about a single ideology of Manas – an informed observation of those recitations will reveal the plurality of speeches on the Kyrgyz epic which testifies a struggle of interests and thoughts. The present work will study the return of Manas on Kyrgyzstan political and ideological scenes, between 2009 and 2013, and to show what is a recitation of Manas nowadays. Both aspects will bring a systematic and contemporary view on our knowledge about Manas

In this study, hip hop is shown as a culture in permanent movement. The objective of the study is to identify constitutional factors of the hip hop culture. The study design includes field work focusing on female hip hoppers from São Paulo and São Carlos House of Hip Hop institution. Activities from these two groups were observed and the dynamics of the working functionality of the groups were described. There were also descriptions of interactions between different mobilization forms and their influences, performed by the active characters involved in this process. It was observed that the political awareness between the study groups is shaped throughout the characteristics of the speech of the hip hoppers and their practical actions. Therefore, this study concludes that there were two distinct mobilization manners on the way the two groups experience hip hop culture. However, this process is constantly renovated by the interactions and simultaneous affect from between the groups.

Collaborative systems (SiCos) support or enable human interaction online; this involves users communicating not only with the system, but also, and mainly, with each other. Theoretical contributions reveal and empirical studies illustrate and provide evidence of the influence of SiCos on the communication among users (USU communication), the users´ experience, and ultimately on the social activity supported by the system, as well as group dynamics. The effects of SiCos, especially the social effects, call for the development of design tools that help designers make more informed decisions. In this work, we introduce Manas, a Semiotic Engineering epistemic tool that enables designers to represent their USU communication project, and offers them qualitative feedback on the potential social effects of their project on interaction between users and the system as well as among themselves. In doing so, Manas leads designers to reflect upon both the problem being handled and the proposed solution, allowing them to make more conscious decisions. Furthermore, Manas registers the underlying rationale in the USU communication project, which is a valuable source of information and study of the design process and its product, and creates favorable conditions for the transmission of this knowledge to users through the system interface. Users will then be able to use the system more efficiently. Thus Manas potentially enhances the quality of SiCos.

Abstract:
Tigers (Panthera tigris) are critically endangered worldwide, with their native populations reduced to less than 7% of their total geographic range in the last hundred years. Currently there are only 6 subspecies residing in thirteen range countries. The main causes of their population decline have been attributed to habitat loss and fragmentation, prey depletion and poaching for the illegal wildlife trade. At the same time, tiger conservation and management is severely constrained by inadequate field-based research that is localised and yet at the same beneficial to the site managers. While natural history of tigers has been well studied, recent advances m technology has also enabled the science-based population estimations. This study establishes the potential of remote sensing technology and geospatial techniques to undertake landscape-based conservation initiatives for tigers. The study is first of its kind in the Indo-Bhutan Manas Tiger Conservation Landscape (IBMTCL) that spans more than 6500 km2 of geographic area and is a biodiversity 'hotspot' in the Indian subcontinent. Due to its rugged terrain, remoteness and socio-political complexities, it was one of the least studied areas till recently. Through this study, innovative methods have been developed that complement field-based monitoring studies to estimate tiger populations. The baseline for this study is the camera-trap study undertaken in 2010-11 wherein 9 tigers were estimated for Manas National Park, India and the Landsat TM mosaic images for the year 1978, 1989 and 2010.

Jackson, G. D. Bedrock geology, northwest part of Nuluujaak Mountain, Baffin Island, Nunavut, part of NTS 37-G/5. Natural Resources Canada/CMSS/Information Management, 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.4095/314670.

Full text
Abstract:
The map area lies about 40 km northwest of Baffinland's iron mine. Dykes of unit mAnA3 within unit mAnA2 suggest that unit mAnA2 predates unit mAnA3. Unit nAMqf, basal Mary River Group unit, includes regolith material from units mAnA2 and mAnA3. Unit mAnAm may include some dykes of unit nAMb. The Mary River Group was deposited in a volcanic-arc environment, yielding zircon U-Pb ages mostly in the range of 2.88 to 2.72 Ga. Iron-formation (unit nAMi) is approximately 276 m thick locally, with oxide facies (unit nAMio) being most abundant. The quartzite triangle west of 'Iron lake' (unofficial name) may be a small horst. The main east-west-trending synclinal fold, including the area around 'Iron lake' and the no. 4 ore deposit, is upright, nearly isoclinal, and plunges mostly easterly at both ends with small scale anticlines and synclines in the middle. Magnetite constitutes about 75% of high-grade iron deposits in the north limb, whereas hematite predominates in south-limb deposits. K-Ar and Rb-Sr ages indicate middle Paleoproterozoic overprinting. Central Borden Fault Zone was active at ca. 1.27 Ga and during or after Ordovician time. Note: please be aware that the information contained in CGM 408 is based on legacy data from the 1960-1990s and that it has been superseded by regional-scale information contained in CGM 403.
