Abstract:
This article discusses the development of the type of knowledge held to be crucial for creativity and innovation, and which is referred to here as hidden knowledge. The research question investigated is: How can organizations develop hidden knowledge? The first purpose of the article is to bring forth a type of knowledge which can give some foundation for knowledge management and innovation. The second objective is to give some foundation for the HR-department, in order to bring knowledge management theory to practical use. The authors develop five propositions concerning a mini theory for the development of hidden knowledge. A descriptive framework of “knowledging” is also developed at the individual, team and organizational levels, for tacit, implicit, explicit and hidden knowledge, which can be used of the HR-department to increase innovation in the organization

Abstract:
Acute poisoning with nitrobenzene causing significant methemoglobinemia is a rare yet life-threatening emergen-cy. A 20-year-old, female presented to Emergency in altered sensorium with a history of consumption of a bioor-ganic formulation. On examination she was cyanosed restless and agitated with SpO2 of 70% on room air. Blood samples drawn for ABG was chocolate brown colour on blotting paper. ABG showed metabolic acidosis with a satu-ration of 80%. Methylene blue 50mg in IV saline was given over 5 mins and oral ascorbic acid. She improved slowly after the 9th day with SpO2 of 92% on room air. She was discharged on the 17th day on oral iron, ascorbic acid, and breathing exercises. Early aggressive management of severe poisoning, strongly suspected on clinical grounds may change the outcome of the patient. Key-words: Nitrobenzene, methemoglobinemia, methylene blue, pulse oximetry

Abstract:
Abstract Probate inventories helped to support the established social and economic order in colonial Jamaica. These documents were part of the legal process of winding up an estate after a death and presented an account of personal possessions that had belonged to a decedent. They facilitated the transfer of property to heirs and identified those parts of an estate that were available for the repayment of debts. The inventories contain lists of enslaved people, representing them as a type of “property,” and so these documents form a major part of the archive of Jamaican slavery. This article explores the practices, aims, and assumptions of the people who produced the inventories, developing our understanding of slaveholder culture in the British Caribbean and of the bureaucratic and accounting techniques that facilitated slave management.
