Magijos samprata moksliniame diskurse neišvengiamai atskleidžia ne tik mokslininko ar tiriamos visuomenės sampratas, bet ir išryškina perskyras. Taip atsiranda poreikis plėsti sampratos ribas, telkiantis ne tik į praktinę magijos pusę, bet ir į bendrus maginės pasaulėžiūros aspektus. Šiuo tyrimu, remiantis Lietuvos studentų magijos ir religijos sampratomis, maginėmis-religinėmis praktikomis, antgamtinio pasaulio suvokiniais, patirtimis, siekiama atskleisti magijos supratimo įvairovę. Išanalizavus studentų magijos ir religijos sampratas, studentams būdingas magines-religines praktikas, atskleidžiamos studentams būdingiausios magijos ir religijos sampratos, maginių-religinių praktikų ypatumai. Disertacijoje tiriamos ne tik studentų magijos ir religijos sampratos, maginės-religinės praktikos, bet ir antgamtinio pasaulio patirtys ir suvokiniai, kuriuose magija atsiskleidžia kaip bendražmogiškos pasaulėžiūros dalis. Tokiame kontekste išryškėja magijos suvokimo dualizmas – atsispindi du skirtingi jos matymo būdai. Viena vertus, magija atsiskleidžia kaip į tikslą orientuotų praktikų, veiksmų visuma. On the one hand magic reveals itself as the whole of actions oriented towards an aim. On the other hand students‘ Otherworld experiences and conceptions that reflect themselves in student’s magico-religious practices reveal magic as a contributory element in a person’s worldview formation.

Abstract:
Os Papiros Gregos Mágicos são uma coletânea de textos sobre magia do Egito Greco-Romano. Seus feitiços mostram uma mistura de várias tradições, em especial a egípcia e a grega. Uma característica dessa coletânea que se destaca é a presença das chamadas voces magicae, palavras mágicas de aspecto misterioso e sem sentido lexical aparente. Esta dissertação se concentra em analisar as voces magicae em seu contexto textual, a fim de compreender melhor como esse elemento ocorre nos encantamentos. Para isso, foi estabelecido um banco de dados com as voces magicae de cada feitiço e as mesmas foram analisadas levando em conta os termos que eram adjacentes à elas. Os tipos de contexto nos quais as palavras mágicas figuram foram discutidos a partir de exemplos retirados do corpus. Com base nessa análise, foi possível levantar algumas hipóteses sobre a natureza das palavras mágicas e o tipo de função que exercem nos feitiços.
The Greek Magical Papyri are a collection of magical texts from Graeco-Roman Egypt. Its contents display a mixture of different traditions, mainly Egyptian and Greek. A noticeable feature in these texts is the so-called voces magicae, mysterious looking words with no apparent lexical meaning. This dissertation focuses on analyzing the voces magicae in their textual context in order to better comprehend how this feature appears on incantations. A database was established with vox magica taken from the spells. The voces magicae were analyzed according to the words next to them. The different contexts in which voces magicae were found were discussed with examples from our corpus. Based on this analysis, it was possible to raise a few hypotheses on the nature of magical words and what kind of function they have on spells.

Abstract:
Le sujet du Doctorat porte sur l'utilisation des voies de synthèse par mésostructuration pour la préparation de supports de catalyseurs poreux. Trois systèmes ont été abordés pendant la durée du Doctorat, mais l'objectif restait le même dans les trois cas puisqu'il s'agissait de contrôler la morphologie du support afin de permettre par la suite l'optimisation du catalyseur final. La première partie du travail a été consacrée à l'étude de la synthèse d'oxydes mixtes en milieu confiné (i. E. Dans la porosité d’un support hôte). Des composés de type pérovskite (ABO3, avec A le lanthane et B un métal de transition) ont été préparés et dispersés sur différents supports siliciques de textures différentes. L'approche adoptée pour la synthèse, une méthode originale d'autocombustion développée dans le cadre du Doctorat, a permis d'obtenir des nanoparticules d'oxyde mixte de taille restreinte (< 4 nm), dispersées de manière homogène dans la porosité du support hôte. De telles tailles sont rarement rapportées pour des oxydes mixtes de ce type. Des tailles de domaine cristallin de l'ordre de 15-30 nm pour ce type d'oxyde mixte sont généralement observées. Bien que l'étude de l'activité de ces solides n'ait pas été abordée dans le cadre de ce travail, la mobilité de l'oxygène dans ces matériaux est largement supérieure à celle mesurée pour des pérovskites massiques ce qui montre clairement que ces nanocristaux se comportent différemment des cristaux massiques. Dans une deuxième partie, la synthèse, les propriétés texturales et structurales, ainsi que l'activité de nanocomposites SiO2 – TiO2 sont présentés. Par dépôt contrôlé d'un précurseur organique de titane, il est possible d'obtenir des nanocristaux d'anatase accessibles dans la porosité d'un support mésoporeux. Le mode de synthèse utilisé permet de déposer des quantités élevées d'oxyde de titane (jusqu’à 55 %pds), sans obstruer la porosité du support ni altérer les propriétés physiques du composite final qui présente toujours une surface spécifique élevée. Le maintien de propriétés attractives peut être attribué à la taille limitée des particules de titane générées, qui est généralement de l'ordre de 4 nm ou moins. Comme dans le cas de pérovskites, ces nanoparticules présentent une mobilité d'oxygène élevée, et des tests de réactivité ont montré que le contrôle de la taille de particule permettait une modulation de l'interaction métal – support (effet SMSI) lorsqu'un métal noble était déposé à sa surface. La dernière partie du Doctorat portait sur la synthèse d'alumine, une autre phase importante pour la catalyse hétérogène. Différentes voies de synthèses par mésostructuration ont été abordées, ce qui a permis de mettre en évidence l'intérêt de ces procédures pour l'obtention de solides présentant des surfaces spécifiques élevées et des tailles de pores élevées. Des résultats préliminaires ont aussi montré la flexibilité de ces voies de synthèse pour la fonctionnalisation de la surface de l'alumine (par incorporation d'un métal de transition ou d’un métal noble lors de la synthèse)
First of all the study of the synthesis of mixed oxides of ABO, perovskite in the pores of a silica host is studied. A novel method of autoignition developed within the PhD has yielded mixed oxide nanoparticles of small size (<4 nm) homogeneously dispersed in the pores of the support while sizes of the order of 15-30 nm for this type of mixed oxide are generally observed. The mobility of oxygen in these materials is much higher than that measured for bulk perovskites. In second part, the synthesis, structural and textural properties, and the activity of SiO2-TiO2 nanocomposites are presented. Anatase nanocrystals of 4 nm or less, accessible in the pores of a mesoporous support are obtained. High amounts of titania were deposited without clogging the pores of the support or alter the physical properties of the final composite. These nanoparticles exhibit high oxygen mobility. Reactivity tests showed that control of particle size allowed to adjust the metal – support interaction (effect SMSI) where the noble metal was deposited on its surface. The last part of the PhD was on the synthesis of alumina by different routes of mesostructuration. The interest of these procedures of obtaining solids with high surface area and large pores has been shown. Preliminary results also showed the flexibility of these synthetic routes for the functionalization of the surface of alumina by incorporation of a noble metal of transition metal during synthesis

Abstract:
In Europe the views on the demand of magnesium by agricultural plants as well as on the need for magnesium fertilization are different. In European countries uses different methods for determining the available magnesium content in soil. Different assessment of soil characteristics in different countries as well as very unequal magnesium fertilization rates for crops have encouraged us to review the methods of determining available magnesium in soil and the effect of magnesium fertilizer on plants. The appropriateness of applying the magnesium determination methods commonly used in different soils in Europe was established and scientifically based as well as their relationship, recalculation algorithms for the values of available magnesium obtained by applying different determination methods were prepared. The effect of the plant available magnesium content in predominant soils of Lithuania determined by different methods and that of magnesium fertilizer on the yield of Italian ryegrass and spring barley were investigated. Summarizing the research developed the most suitable determination of available magnesium in Lithuanian soil and crop fertilization magnesium fertilizer recommendations. Different solubility of magnesium in different soils and magnesium fertilizers on agricultural plants in Lithuania was studied for the first time.
Požiūris į magnio poreikį žemės ūkio augalams, o tuo pačiu tręšimą magnio trąšomis, įvairiose šalyse nėra vienodas. Europos šalyse judrusis magnis dirvožemyje nustatomas labai įvairiais metodais. Skirtingas dirvožemio savybių vertinimas įvairiose šalyse, o taip pat labai nevienodos magnio trąšų normos augalams mus paskatino naujai peržiūrėti judriojo magnio nustatymo metodus dirvožemyje ir magnio trąšų įtaką augalams. Nustatytas ir moksliškai įvertintas dažniausiai Europoje naudojamų judriojo magnio nustatymo metodų taikymo tinkamumas įvairiuose dirvožemiuose, jų tarpusavio priklausomumas, parengti perskaičiavimo algoritmai tarp įvairiais metodais nustatytų judriojo magnio reikšmių. Vyraujančiuose Lietuvos dirvožemiuose ištirta įvairiais metodais nustatyto judriojo magnio kiekio ir magnio trąšų įtaka gausiažiedžių svidrių bei vasarinių miežių derliui ir kokybei. Apibendrinus atliktus tyrimus parengtos tinkamiausių judriojo magnio nustatymo Lietuvos dirvožemiuose metodų ir žemės ūkio augalų tręšimo magnio trąšomis rekomendacijos. Lietuvoje įvairaus tirpumo magnio kiekiai įvairiuose dirvožemiuose ir magnio trąšų įtaka žemės ūkio augalams tirta pirmą kartą.

Abstract:
Este trabalho pretende investigar algumas das relações que se estabelecem, no campo religioso brasileiro, entre umbanda e Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (IURD). Para além do discurso demonizador neopentecostal, que classifica as religiões afrobrasileiras como \"coisa do diabo\", acredito haver diversas trocas simbólicas entre essas denominações que, a princípio, parecem tão distantes. A etnografia estará estruturada de forma a mostrar, inicialmente, o funcionamento interno desses dois sistemas religiosos - atentando para suas cosmologias e estruturas rituais. Em seguida, será abordado o intenso intercâmbio simbólico que se estabelece entre eles. Será dedicada especial atenção a determinados símbolos que são fundamentais para compreender o relacionamento dessas religiões: os exus e as pombagiras são os melhores exemplos. Finalmente, serão discutidas questões que poderiam ser consideradas mais \"espinhosas\" no que diz respeito ao relacionamento entre umbanda e IURD: notadamente, as polêmicas sobre a intolerância e o preconceito no campo religioso brasileiro.
This work intends to investigate some of the relations that have been established, in the Brazilian religious field, between Umbanda and the Universal Church of The Kingdoom of God. Beyond the neopentecostal accusations of devilishness, that set Afro-Brazilian religions as \"devil-like\", I believe there are some symbolic exchange between these two religions that, at first, seem so far apart. The ethnography is set in a way to display, initially, the internal working of these two religious systems - looking into their cosmologies and ritual structures. Then, the intense exchanges set between them will be approached. Specific attention will be given to particular symbols that are crucial to understand the relationship of these religions: the exus and the pombagiras are the best examples. Finally, some questions concerning the relationship between Umbanda and the Universal Church that could be considered more \"delicate\" will be discussed: the polemics about intolerance and prejudice in the field of religion in Brazil.

Parengtas teorinis darbas ir suprojektuota, atlikta kūrybinė kompozicija „Kubo magija“. Darbo tikslas - sukurti erdvinę kompoziciją , naudojant veidrodį. Veidrodis interjerui suteikia žaismingumo, gyvybingumo. Kintant veidrodžio aplinkai kartu kinta ir jo išvaizda. Kūrinys sukurtas, siekiant parodyti, kad meno kūrinys gali keistis. Dažniausiai darbai keičiasi kintant laikui, dėvintis medžiagai, laiko paveiktai konstrukcijai. Šis kūrinys visada keičiasi, kai kinta jo aplinka. Veidrodis darbe naudotas kaip medžiaga, sugerianti ir atspindinti aplinką. Veidrodis magiškas, dėl savo savybių priverčiantis pasitempti, nusišypsoti, sukeliantis kitas įvairias emocijas, kas paveikia žmogų vienokia ar kitokia linkme, turi kažką magiško, paslaptingo. Kubas yra pastovus, statiškas, tad jo forma pakeičiau, suteikiau kitokią formą, nei įprasta kubui. Pakitusi forma suardo kubo pastovumą. Įvedus veidrodį, jis įgauna gyvybę, kitimo, magiškų savybių, iš statiško virsta į dinamišką. Pusiausvyros suardymas, taisyklių pažeidimas, medžiagos, turinčios magiškų savybių įvedimas kūrinį paverčia magišku. Magija tai ne tik burtai, iliuzijos, bet ir visa kita, kas žmogų priverčia elgtis kitaip, jam to nejaučiant. Tad darbą ir pavadinau „Kubo magiją“. Darbe apžvelgiami kompozicijos pagrindai, erdvinė kompozicija, kubas mene ir jo simbolika, aprašoma erdvinės kompozicijos „Kubo magija“ darbo eiga. Prepared theoretical work designed and carried out the creative composition “Cube magic”. The purpose of the work was to create a spatial composition using a mirror. The mirror gives a playful and viability for the interior. When the mirror environment is changing, also change its appearance. The work is designed to show that a work of art can vary. Frequently changing work shifts time, wearing the material affected by the construction time. This work is always changing, when its environment is changing. The mirror was used as a material absorbing and reflecting the environment in this work. The mirror is the magic, of his character gets the toes, smile, causing a range of other emotions, which affects a person one or another direction, which has something magical, mysterious. The cube is a constant and static, so I changed its shape in a different format than the usual cube. Destroy the abnormal form of a cube provide a stability. The introduction of the mirror he gets life, change, magical properties, it become dynamic from static. Balancing destruction, violation, materials which have magical properties of the introduction of the work makes it magic. The magic is not only spells, illusions, and everything else what makes a man behave differently, when they do not feel what. So I called work “Cube magic”. Il existe dans le destin des peuples et des cultures, comme dans les destinées individuelles, des époques particulièrement importantes, charnières où l'avenir se joue et ou infléchir le plateau de la balance d'un côté ou l'autre revient à modifier le cours de l'histoire d'un pays ou même d'une civilisation. La Corée se trouve actuellement dans une telle situation où tout est possible et où une prise de position ou une autre peut modifier son développement. Depuis des origines qu'il est possible de dater à 2. 333 av. J. C (donc 4 227nas), nous pouvons retracer le courant continu qui, d'empire en empire, a mené le peuple coréen dans la logique de son développement. C'est seulement au début du XXeme siècle qu'est survenu le contact avec le monde occidental qui a apporté des modifications importantes. Les coréens restent donc les héritiers d'une vieille civilisation encore vivante dans un monde où il est si difficile de retrouver à l'état de vécu les racines de l'humanité. Les danses magico-religieuses témoignent de cette réalité et sont encore pratiquées aujourd'hui. Le sujet de notre étude est donc de retranscrire ces témoignages dans la mesure du possible. Après avoir fixé les idées en parlant des fondements philosophiques et historiques de la civilisation coréenne sans lesquels il est impossible de comprendre les gestes et les chorégraphies traditionnels, nous serons donc amenés à décrire dans le détail différents aspects caractéristiques de cet héritage menace, mais pourtant persistant et prêt à renaitre
It existe in the destiny of people and cultures particulary important period where the future can be involved in different ways to modify the history of a country or a civilisation : Korea find itself currently in a situation where everthing is possible and can modify it's develpment. Koreans have received the heritage of old culture still living in the current world where it is difficult to preserve the root of humanity. Korean magic religious dance testimonies it's reality and are practiced today. It brings us to 2. 333 B. C and since this time we can retrace the continuous current which, from empire to empire, had guided Korean peoples in the logic of their development. It is only in the beginning of twenty centuries that had come the contact with western culture which have brought important change. After fixing the philosophie and history of Koran civilization, we describe the different aspects of this heritage manaced, but persistant and ready to reborn. This these are composed of two volumes the first exposing the subject the second presenting 289 illustrations. Some are drawing but most are photographies in color which were realized during the celebration of rituels

Als im Jahr 1485 mit Heinrich VII. der erste Tudorkönig den englischen Thron bestieg, galt Irland als unbedeutendes, von gälischen Barbaren beherrschtes Randgebiet. Auf der politischen Agenda der jungen Dynastie gewann die Insel nur langsam an Bedeutung. Irland, so die zentrale Überlegung der beiden Autoren Christopher Maginn und Stephen G. Ellis, war also ein weißer Fleck auf der englischen Landkarte, der in der frühen Tudorzeit erst noch besucht, beschrieben und entdeckt werden musste. Belastbare Informationen wurden in London erst nach und nach verfügbar, zumeist auf der Grundlage schriftlicher Berichte und Traktate. Wie dieses Wissen über Irland gewonnen und in der höfischen Gesellschaft in politisches Kapital umgemünzt wurde, wollen Maginn und Ellis in ihrer 2015 erschienenen Untersuchung zeigen.

A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo pensar o cinema de George Méliès, na virada do século XIX para o século XX, como um prisma através do qual refratam-se espectros da modernidade, ou seja, elementos recorrentes em seus filmes que desdobravam questões caras àquele período, e que se ressignificam de diferentes maneiras à luz da chamada pós-modernidade.
The present research aims to think George Méliès' films, at the turn of the nineteenth century for the twentieth century, as a prism through which refracted specters of modernity, that is, recurring elements in his films, each one unfolding differente meanings about that period, and each one of them ressignfying themselves in different ways in the light of the so-called postmodernity.

Resumo: A presente dissertação de mestrado dedica-se a verificar como o romance de Thomas Mann A montanha mágica poderia filiar-se ao gênero literário do Bildungsroman. Sua introdução é um breve comentário sobre o estabelecimento do gênero literário do Bildungsroman enquanto tal, seguido de um excurso, igualmente breve, aos temas que ocupavam Thomas Mann aquando da redação deste seu romance, mediante a identificação de temas centrais das Betrachtungen eines Unpolitischen (Considerações de um apolítico). Feito isto, parte-se ao trabalho propriamente dito de pôr A montanha mágica ao lado do romance de Goethe Anos de aprendizado de Wilhelm Meister, paradigma do gênero em causa, para investigar o proveito em lê-Io como Bildungsroman. A própria questão sobre o que seria efetivamente um Bildungsroman desperta polêmica até os dias atuais. Discutir A montanha mágica na qualidade de Bildungsromanimplica,pois - sempretacitamente-, em voltar à pergunta sobre o que teria feito dos Anos de aprendizado de Wilhelm Meister o primeiro romance de uma série que constituiu tradição dentro da literatura de língua alemã. Mas esta pergunta não é apresentada como tal no corpo do texto, pois o que se pretendeu foi cingir-se a aproximar ambos os romances e esclarecer como este expediente é eficaz para compreendê-Ios. Seja como for, espera-se que mesmo a investigação do gênero tomada em si mesma sempre possa aproveitar-se das diversas incursões que se têm feito ao longo do tempo àquelas obras a ele imputadas
Zusammenfassung: In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird der Frage nachgegangen, inwieweit Thomas Manns Roman Der Zauberberg der literarischen Gattung des Bildungsromans zugeordnet werden kann. Die Einleitung der Arbeit besteht aus einem Kurzkommentar über die Entstehung der literarischen Gattung des Bildungsromans; dem folgt, indem die zentralen Themen aus Betrachtungen eines Unpolitischen bestimmt werden, ein Exkurs über die Themen, die Thomas Mann zur Zeit der Niederschrift des Romans beschãftigten. Im Hauptteil der Arbeit wird Der Zauberberg dem Roman von Goethe Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre - dem Paradigma der Gattung - zur Seite gestellt, und es wird untersucht, ob Thomas Manns Buch in produktiver Weise aIs Bildungsroman gelesen werden kann. Die Frage, was eigentlich ein Bildungsroman sei, ist auch in heutiger Zeit noch umstritten. Eine Betrachtung Des Zauberbergs aIs Bildungsroman impliziert aIso immer auch - wenngleich unausgesprochen - eine Rückbetrachtung der Gründe, die Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre zum ersten Roman einer Gattung werden lieBen, die sich dann - aus heutiger Sicht - aIs Tradition in der deutschsprachigen Literatur etabliert hat. Dieser Fragestellung wird jedoch im HauptteiI der Arbeit nicht nachgegangen, da dieser sich darauf beschrãnkt, beide Romane gegenüberzustellen, um dadurch aufzuklãren, ob dieser Weg geeignet ist, sie zu verstehen. Resumo: Este estudo tem como ponto de partida o referencial teórico formulado por Coudry (1986/88) para a área de Neurolingüística que articula a dimensão histórica, intersubjetiva e psíquica da linguagem em função de questões teóricas e metodológicas que repercutem na prática clínica, especialmente no que se refere à relação entre teoria e dado. Trata-se de um trabalho de caráter clínico tanto pela investigação que se propõe a desenvolver quanto pela descrição de procedimentos e práticas com e sobre a linguagem usados no acompanhamento longitudinal de um sujeito de 30 anos do sexo masculino (AL), que apresenta um quadro de Síndrome Frontal leve em virtude de um traumatismo craniano que acometeu bilateralmente os lobos frontais e o lobo parietal alto à direita. No estudo clínico são considerados os múltiplos fatores pré e pós-episódio neurológico que explicam a heterogeneidade do quadro semiológico de AL: a suposta dislexia diagnosticada na 7ª série do ensino fundamental, o histórico de alcoolismo, o traumatismo crânio-encefálico, a síndrome frontal e as fabulações. Os sintomas que decorrem do quadro se manifestam de maneira discreta o que implica lidar com a estreita relação entre normal/patológico e com a instabilidade que lhe é característica. O sujeito foi acompanhado longitudinalmente entre abril de 2003 e outubro de 2004 no Laboratório de Neurolingüística (LABONE) do Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem (IEL) da Unicamp, para onde foi encaminhado para avaliação neurolingüística em fevereiro de 2002 com queixa de dificuldade de aprendizagem e de leitura e com queixa pessoal de memória. Por meio de achados e indícios que se apresentam em meio à situação clínica - que tem como fio condutor a escrita na Agenda Mágica como lugar de reconstrução da relação do sujeito com a escrita e com a sua subjetividade ¿ são estudadas as relações entre linguagem, memória, corpo e percepção, a partir da articulação das formulações de Freud sobre o funcionamento neurofisiológico do aparelho psíquico, os estudos de Jakobson a respeito do funcionamento bipolar da linguagem e as formulações de Luria sobre a organização sistêmica e hierarquizada das funções cerebrais
Abstract: This study has, as starting point, the theoretic referential formulated by Coudry (1986/88) for the area of Neurolinguistics that articulates the historical, inter-subjective and psychic dimension of the language in function of theoretical and methodological questions that re-echo in the practical clinic, especially to the relation between theory and data. It is a work of clinical character such as the inquiry proposed to be developed, as the description of procedures and practices with and about the language used in the longitudinal accompaniment of 30 years old man (AL) that presents a Frontal Syndrome picture due to a brain damage that affected his frontal lobes bilaterally and his parental upright lobe. In the clinical study multiple neurological prior and after episode factors are considered that explain the heterogeneity of AL¿s picture: the supposed dyslexia diagnosis on the seventh grade of basic school, the history of alcoholism, the traumatic brain injury, the frontal syndrome and the fantastical narratives. The symptoms related to the picture reveal in a discrete way what implies dealing with the narrow relation between normal/pathological and with its characteristic instability. The individual was followed longitudinally from April 2003 to October 2004 at the Neurolinguistic Laboratory (LABONE) of Unicamp¿s Institute of Language Studies (IEL), to where he was guided for neurolinguistic evaluation in February 2002, with complaints of difficulty on learning and reading and personal memory complaint. Based on findings and clues present in the clinical situation - that has as conducting wire the writing in the Magical Agenda as a place of reconstruction of the relation between the individual to the writing and its subjectivity - are studied the relations between language, memory, body and perception, from the joint of Freud¿s formularizations about neurophysiological psychic device, Jakobson¿s studies regarding the bipolar functioning of the language and the Luria¿s formulations on the systemic and hierarchically cerebral functions organization

Tikslui pasiekti buvo išsikelti tokie uždaviniai: - Apibrėžti religijotyrinius „magijos“, „ezoterikos“ ir „okultizmo“ terminus. - Pristatyti kaip vartojami ezoterikos terminai katalikiškoje pastoracijoje bei paaiškinti daromas klaidas. - Atskleisti terminų apsibrėžimo sau ir pastoracijos subjektui svarbą. - Nurodyti pavojus, kylančius dėl netikslios ezoterikos terminų vartosenos pastoracijoje. - Pateikti patarimus pastoracijos darbuotojams. The goal of this thesis: in accordance to the review of the esoteric literature in Lithuanian, to highlight the uncertainties of the esoteric terminology, to reveal a critical attitude to the free interpretation of the esoteric terminology and to describe the effects of the precise esoteric terminology to the success of pastoral work. To achieve the goal such tasks were raised: - To define the terms of magic, esoteric and occultism. - To introduce how the esoteric terms are used in the Catholic pastoral work as well as to explain the most common mistakes. - To reveal the importance of the precise terminology for the pastoral subject. - Indicate the risk arising from incorrect usage of esoteric terms in pastoral work. - To provide guidance for pastoral workers. In order to implement tasks and achieve thesis goal were used methods of comparative analysis and synthesis. While working the terms of occultism, esoteric and magic were defined. Occultism is the study of esoteric practices, including (but not limited to) magic and spiritualism; it is the syncretic type of magic philosophy common from the 19th to 20th century. Esotericism can be defined as a religious philosophical system, which is based on magic or parapsychology rituals and methods to come into contact with the Otherworld. Abstract:
This literature review aims to investigate, expose and explain August Strindberg's religious position in his partly autobiographical work Inferno, published in Swedish in 1897, in relation to Peter Berger's socialization theory. Strindberg says in the beginning of Inferno that he goes from being an atheist, occultist and Swedenborgian to finally return to his ancestral religion, Christianity. This is questionable, as Strindberg seems to be religious in its atheistic era, and occultist during his Christian period. Strindberg's own religious views seem not always match what he portrays, compared to what he writes in his correspondence and diary entries. This literature review aims to highlight the influences of Strindberg affected to clarify his religiosity which is implicitly and explicitly depicted in Inferno. This thematic epicanalysis has revealed several religious perplexities which Strindberg depicted in his literary works. Strindberg describes in the beginning of the work his alchemy and the occult tendencies that flourish around him and how it affects his scientific experiments. There is a time where Strindberg feels anxious and extremely mentally ill, something that gets better as Strindberg learns Emanuel Swedenborg's religion. Inferno ends with a description of Strindberg's conversion to Christianity, which has sought to be explained by various researchers.

Este trabalho se propõe como um breve tratado sobre as relações entre os discursos vigentes da arte contemporânea e o pensamento mágico ocidental. No cruzamento entre o ensaio poético, a antropologia da arte, a estética e a bruxaria, desenha-se um círculo no qual se desenvolve a pesquisa sob o signo da \"besta\" acadêmica: a interdisciplinaridade. A partir disso, estudam-se uma série de projetos curatoriais recentes que lidam com magia, ocultismo, xamanismo ou animismo, prestando atenção aos preconceitos que se manifestam em alguns desses discursos curatoriais. Entretece-se esta reflexão com referências históricas que servem de marco explicativo para a queda em desgraça do pensamento mágico ocidental e, junto com ele, do status da imaginação e da imagem como formas de conhecimento. Uma vez definida a situação em que ficou esta tradição depois de sucessivas campanhas de desprestígio, introduzem- -se uma série de figuras que serviram depois à construção de uma nova (mas talvez sobretudo velha) teoria mágico-estética. Seguindo a esteira de pensadores contemporâneos ligados ao realismo especulativo e à ontologia objetual, o trabalho se reconecta com uma esquecida tradição mágico-estética (ocidental) não isenta de uma dimensão mítica e animista (ou vitalista, se se prefere). Faz-se questão de colocar a \"palavra do artista\" no mesmo nível que a \"palavra do filósofo\", mas evitando converter os artistas citados em objeto de pesquisa. O trabalho defende que existam - apesar dos séculos em que a elite intelectual ocidental vem predicando contra a possibilidade de uma ontologia mágico-estética - indíviduos e coletivos que desenvolvem sua atividade à margem dos preconceitos dicotômicos que hoje alguns pensadores acadêmicos de vanguarda se empenham, não sem dificuldades, em transcender. Nesse sentido, o trabalho argumenta que muitos artistas eram já materialistas vibrantes e realistas especulativos antes da valorização, em voga hoje, dessas correntes filosóficas.
This work intends to be a brief treatise on the relations between contemporary art and western magical thinking. At the crossroads between poetic essay, anthropology of art, aesthetics and witchcraft, a circle is drawn under the sign of the academic \"beast\": interdisciplinarity. From this point of departure, we study a series of recent curatorial projects that deal with magic, occultism, shamanism or animism, paying close attention to the prejudices that surface in some of these curatorial discourses. This reflection is intertwined with historical references that serve as an explanatory framework for the fall of western magical thinking and, along with it, the loss of status of both imagination and image as respected sources of knowledge. After having defined the state of neglect this (magical) tradition was left in after successive smear campaigns, we introduce a series of figures that will serve to construct a new (but perhaps rather ancient) magical-aesthetic theory. Following the trail of contemporary thinkers linked to speculative realism and object-oriented ontology, the work reconnects with a forgotten magical-aesthetic (western) tradition with a mythical and animistic (or vitalist, if you prefer) dimension. We also emphasize the importance of put-ting the \"artist\'s word\" on the same level as the \"philosopher\'s word\", whilst at the same time carefully avoiding to turn the cited artists into an object of study. We claim that - in spite of the centuries in which the Western intellectual elite has been preaching against the possibility of a magical-aesthetic ontology - there are individuals and groups that are active in the margins of the dichotomous prejudices that today some avant-garde academic thinkers are trying to transcend with much difficulty. In this sense, the work argues that many artists were already vibrant materialists and speculative realists much before the new on-to-materialistic philosophical currents which are very much in vogue nowadays.

Abstract:
Cette thèse fait suite à un travail de terrain mené de 2007 à 2010 dans un village d'agriculteurs-pêcheurs du sud-est de l'île de Zanzibar intégré à l'arc swahili. L'histoire du peuplement du village est placée dans la création et la dynamique de la société swahili depuis ses origines dans une perspective afro-centrée, afin d'analyser les raisons et les modes de la conversion des habitants à l'islam. Les populations ont construit dans le temps leur croyance religieuse de manière sélective, ce qui a maintenu le système de représentation et de pensée traditionnel. La recomposition contemporaine dans la communauté est explorée par le biais de l'organisation du village, de sa vie sociale et des traditions bantoues aux côtés de l'islam qui rythme le quotidien. La société, non figée, possède son libre arbitre en préservant une pluralité culturelle (place et rôle des ancêtres, cultes de possession etc.) et en ayant accepté une reconstitution avec des emprunts islamiques qui l'ont enrichie en termes de cohésion sociale et de valeurs morales notamment. Les pratiques magiques et sorcellaires largement détaillées, qui se trouvent au cœur de la démonstration, font apparaître que l'imaginaire collectif est assis sur un socle magique qui continue à expliquer les phénomènes de la maladie, de l'infortune etc. au delà des convictions religieuses musulmanes sincères des habitants. La magie et la sorcellerie, banales dans le quotidien, sont constituées d'une juxtaposition ou d'un assemblage de rituels opéré par une magie opportuniste qui utilise l'islam (manipulations diverses du Coran) pour renforcer les pratiques bantoues quand cela est nécessaire et légitimer des actes peu compatibles avec les principes de la religion. La dynamique de la sorcellerie africaine et islamique se trouve renforcée par de nouvelles données sociologiques (convoitise et jalousie exacerbées, montée des individualismes et perte d'influence des anciens). La thèse suggère, dans une orientation relativiste, que les représentations quotidiennes ancrées dans la matrice africaine bantoue demeurent le mode d'accès à la vérité du monde. Les compromis complexes et multiformes opérés avec l'islam à travers un système de «fertilisation croisée», permettent de maintenir un équilibre social et spirituel et d'affirmer une compatibilité des schémas entre eux dans une communauté qui a refusé de choisir entre deux systèmes de sens
This thesis follows my field work carried out from 2007 to 2010 in a village located in the south eastern part of Zanzibar Island, part of the Swahili area and peopled by farmers and fishermen. The way the village became populated is related to the creation and the dynamics of the Swahili society in an afro-centred perspective so as to analyse the reasons for and the modes of the population's conversion to Islam. Over the years the peoples have secured their faith in Islam in a selective way, which has kept the traditional system of representation and thinking alive. The contemporary reconstitution within the community is scrutinized through the organisation of the village, its social life and Bantu traditions as well as the Islamic religion pulsing the population's daily life. This society, in constant evolution, keeps its own free will by safeguarding a cultural multiplicity (place and role of the ancestors, cults of possession…) and by accepting Islamic elements to be part and parcel of their community, which has made it both richer and stronger in terms of social cohesion and moral values. The fully-detailed magic and witchcraft practices at the core of the demonstration reveal that the collective imagination is deeply rooted in a magic base which keeps accounting for the phenomena of diseases, ill-fortune and so on, despite the sincere Muslim religious beliefs of the inhabitants. Magic and witchcraft, commonplace in their everyday life, are made up of a juxtaposition or an assembly of rituals initiated by some opportunistic magic which resorts to Islam (diverse manipulations of the Koran) in order to strengthen Bantu practices when necessary and to legitimize acts far from being compliant with religious tenets. The dynamics of African and Islamic witchcraft is being enhanced by new sociological data (a heightened sense of covetousness and jealousy, a steady rise in individualism and the ancestors gradually losing their clout). The present thesis, suggests in a relativist perspective that the daily representations remain firmly anchored in the African Bantu matrix as an access to the truth of the world and that the complex and multifaceted compromises with Islam through some « cross-fertilization » system contribute to maintaining a social and spiritual equilibrium and to advocating some compatibility between the different thinking patterns in a community which has refused to choose between the two of them

Le projet de recherche se propose d’explorer le rapport particulier entre « l’écrire » et la magie en se plaçant au plus près de la matérialité de l’écriture : avec quoi et sur quoi écrit-on ? Les romans antiques et les aventures du roi Arthur et des chevaliers de la Table Ronde, des XIIème et XIIIème siècles, œuvres qui constituent notre corpus*, font état de parchemins, de « lettres », de tissus ou vêtements, de peaux d’animaux ou humaine, de supports végétaux, de pierres tombales, d’armes sur lesquels on écrit, parfois avec deux ou trois couleurs, avec différents « instruments » : plumes d’oiseau (avec des encres), stylets pointus par exemple. De manière atypique, des substrats éphémères comme la farine, la cendre, la neige apparaissent ; le sang des hommes (ou des animaux), souvent, y laisse des traces, des signes. Les messages ainsi écrits ne sont pas toujours fondés sur l’alphabet (par exemple dans le Lai du Chèvrefeuille). Le support et la forme de ces écritures ont un sens particulier et confèrent une valeur magique aux messages laissés, par les personnages, hommes ou femmes, magiciens ou initiés. L’imaginaire de l’écrire est différent de celui de l’écriture: il repose sur le support, sa matérialité et sera la piste à privilégier dans notre enquête. Nous nous poserons donc la question de l’intentionnalité des signes dans ces messages, en fonction du choix du support, quel qu’il soit. Les œuvres de notre corpus ont été écrites dans une période qui connaît l’immense développement, en langue vernaculaire, de la littérature médiévale ; elle a un lien très fort avec l’oralité et le folklore. Notre enquête accordera une importance particulière aux traditions populaires, au folklore, aux croyances magiques ; les contes, les légendes, les textes hagiographiques ainsi que des textes à valeurs non littéraires seront considérés pour comprendre la part de l’imaginaire dans l’acte d’écrire, en prenant en compte, le cas échéant, des récits d’autres aires culturelles, extra-européennes et en réfléchissant sur la dimension anthropologique de l’acte d’écrire. De même, les noms (des personnes, des lieux) ainsi que les dates seront considérés avec attention. Le concept d’«écriture magique » sera défini et cerné : qu’envisageons-nous dans cette magie qui peut être liée aux supports, aux signes, à la langue utilisée pour rédiger le message, et à la personne qui écrit ? Il s’agira donc de donner un sens au mot « magie » en se fondant sur l’étymologie, sa relation au sacré, à la religion, à la sorcellerie. Nous nous appuierons dans cette recherche sur ce qui est connu des supports cités dans le corpus, en nous fondant sur le relevé des occurrences des termes décrivant l’acte d’écrire, et leur étymologie. Cette magie a une incidence sur l’imaginaire qui n’est pas un simple état de fait. Les œuvres de notre corpus gardent des traces de mythes anciens sur l’apparition de l’écriture (sans la confondre avec le dessin ou la peinture), de ses pouvoirs, de sa relation à la magie et au sacré. Ces mythes évoluent, coexistent avec la vision chrétienne mais ne meurent pas. The research project suggests exploring the particular relationship between " to write " and the magic by taking place as closely as possible to the materiality of the writing: with what and on what do we write? The antique novels and the adventures of king Arthur and Knights of the Round Table, XIIth and XIIIth centuries, works which constitute our corpus, state parchments, "letters", tissues or clothes, of skins of animals or human, plant supports, gravestones, weapons on which we write, sometimes with two or three colors, with various "instruments": feathers of bird (with ink), sharp stylets for example. In a atypical way, substrata short-lived as the flour, the ash, the snow appear; the blood of people (or animals), often, leaves with it signs. Messages written are not still established on the alphabet (for example in the Lay of the Honeysuckle). The support(medium) and the shape of these writings have a particular sense and confer a magic value on the left messages, by the characters, the menor the women, the magicians or the initiated people. The imagination of this kind of cryptography is different from that of the writing: it bases on the support, its materiality and will be the track to favor in our survey(investigation). We shall thus ask ourselves the question of the intentionality of the signs in these messages, according to the choice of the support(medium), whatever it is. The works of our corpus were written for a period which knows the immense development, in vernacular language, the medieval literature; it has a very strong link with the oral character and the folklore. Our survey(investigation) will grant(tune) a particular importance for the popular traditions, for the folklore, for the magic faiths; the tales, the legends, the hagiographic texts as well as the texts with not literary values will be considered to include the part of the imagination in the act to write, by taking into account, where necessary, narratives of the other cultural, extra-European areas and by thinking about the anthropological dimension of the act to write. Also, names (people, places) as well as dates will be considered with attention. The concept of " magic writing " will be defined and encircled: what do we envisage in this magic which can be bound(connected) to supports(media), to signs, to language(tongue) used to draft the message, and to the person who writes? Il will thus involve of giving a sense(direction) to the word "magic" by basing(establishing) itself on the etymology, its relation in the sacred, in the religion, in the witchcraft. We shall lean in this search(research) on what is known supports(media) quoted in the corpus, by basing(establishing) us on the statement of the cases(occurrences) of the terms describing the act to write, and their etymology. This magic has an incidence on the imagination which is not a simple established fact. The works of our corpus keep(guard) tracks of former(old) myths on the appearance of the writing (without her(it) confusing(merging) with the drawing or the paint(painting)), of its powers, his(her,its) relation for the magic and for the sacred. These myths evolve, coexist with the Christian vision but do not die. They will so be stakeholders of our search(research) to question the various imagination of cryptography

L’elaborato si propone di analizzare il fenomeno letterario del Realismo Magico, evidenziando l’esistenza di due principali e complementari declinazioni, rappresentate dalle figure paradigmatiche di Massimo Bontempelli e Dino Buzzati. L’obiettivo è quello di dimostrare che – al di là delle affinità apparenti, comunemente sottolineate – il primo tra i due autori ha inteso il Realismo Magico come una nuova espressione retorica della letteratura italiana, basata su una versione razionale e normalizzata del magismo delle avanguardie, e destinata primariamente all’intrattenimento delle masse, e che il secondo, al contrario, ha lavorato alla costruzione di un Realismo Magico rivolto alla descrizione dell’esperienza spirituale dell’Ignoto, in continuità con la tradizione romantica europea del fantastico, e con la ricerca sulle possibilità psichiche esplorate dal Surrealismo. Il primo capitolo definisce il Realismo Magico italiano, attraverso tre paragrafi che, partendo dalla teoria dei “Cahiers” bontempelliani del 1927 e dallo studio dell’estetica novecentista, approfondiscono le differenze con la teoria del Realismo Magico di Franz Roh, con la Metafisica di «Valori Plastici», con l’estetica dei Manifesti Surrealisti di André Breton e, infine, con l’Italia Magica, genere riconosciuto e descritto da Gianfranco Contini. Nel secondo capitolo si analizzano le opere pre-novecentiste di Bontempelli, “La scacchiera davanti allo specchio” (1922), “Eva ultima” (1923) e “La donna dei miei sogni” (1925), che mostrano l’eredità metafisica e anticipano le formulazioni dei “Cahiers”; si analizza, poi, il primo romanzo fantastico di Buzzati, “Il Segreto di Bosco Vecchio” (1935), considerando, da un lato, gli elementi di continuità con le strutture e i linguaggi magico-realisti di Bontempelli (la scansione scientifica della temporalità e gli eventi che si succedono), e, dall’altro, le deviazioni ispirate al fiabesco romantico. "Il segreto del Bosco Vecchio" viene qui presentato come una riscrittura italiana (e magico-realista) dei 'topoi' letterari di E.T.A. Hoffmann, in un contrappunto teorico con il saggio di Nella Giannetto “Buzzati et la literature fantastique du XIX siecle. Quelques suggestions à partir de Hoffmann et Poe”. Prendendo spunto dalle riflessioni di Oretta Guidi e Amalia Federico, si approfondiscono i luoghi del Realismo Magico (con particolare attenzione al simbolismo del bosco nell’immaginario dei due scrittori). I denna uppsats undersöks fenomenet artificiell intelligens och vilken funktion den i dagsläget fyller för företag. Uppsatsens första del består av en förstudie där begreppet artificiell intelligens (AI) reds ut. Förstudien skapar en bättre förståelse för AI - vilken kombineras med teori kring teknikimplementering hos företag för att skapa en analysmodell, som i uppsatsens andra del appliceras på fallföretaget Zecobyte. De slutsatser som slutligen nås är att Zecobyte arbetar med AI-teknologi, men att tekniken egentligen inte skiljer sig något särskilt från någon annan typ av IT-teknologi. De utvecklar innovativa produkter, vilka utnyttjar Big Data fenomenet, med olika kundnyttor vilka även de inte skiljer sig markant från de kundnyttor som genereras från annan IT-teknologi. Vi konstaterar även att det finns mycket potential hos AI och avslutar med att öppna upp för fortsatta studier inom området.

Le but de ce travail consiste a cerner les differents aspects caracterisant la croissance d'une ville fraontaliere algerienne : maghnia. Ancien centre colonial, maghnia est une ville moyenne de l'extreme ouest algerien a la frontiere algero-marocaine. La premiere partie est c0nsacree au milieu et a l'histoire; elle determine les caracteristiques geographiques de la region et l'importance de la plaine irrigue. La croissance demographique de maghnia, influence par les deux facteurs essentiels qui sont l'accroissement naturel et le solde migratoire a de nombreuse consequences positives : rejeunissement de la population (61% ont moins de 25 ans), dynamisme social etc. . . Les indices negatives sont, aussi, importantes : augmentation de la population active en age de travailler, developpement du chomage, accroissement des effectifs scolaires, deficit du logement etc. . . Ceci a constitue la deuxieme partie de la these, et nous a permis de constater une imegalite de croissance entre la population urbaine et urale. La troisieme partie analyse la mutation structurelle de l'economie et demontre apres la comparaison de la situation de l'emploi des deux secteurs (agricole et industriel), leur possibilites de croissance et l'impact de chacun d'eux dans la vie economique. Enfin, la derniere partie est consacree a la croissance urbaine d'une ville moyenne algerienne et a son role regional. Une analyse approfondie du role de la ville dans son espace local et regional (flux humains, origine des marchandises etc. . . ) nous a permis de delimiter son aire d'influence et son role de structuration de l'espace. L'etude du tissu urbain et de la variation des fromes de son extension ont devoilees les problemes de logement et d'equipemenbts collectifs. L'espace urbain de la ville s'etend d'une maniere anarchique et incompatible avec les besoins reels de la croissance demographique
This shidy aims as shidying revealing the different caracterizing the growth of frontier - algerian city. As an ancient colonial center, maghniais a middle city an average city in the externe west of algeria, at the frontier of morrocco. The first part of this shidy treats of se city's environnement and history. It determines the geograpical caracteristics of the region and the importance of the irrigated plain the demographical growth of maghnia, in nfluenced by the two essentiel factors of natural developpement and migration. Had many positive results : a yonger population (61%) are in than 25 years old) and a much more dynamic society ect. . . The negative aspect are not less important : the growdthe active part of the population, the developement of joblessness, the increassing of the school staff, and a deficit habitation deficit etc. . . These aspects constitue the cincer of our second part they allow us tosee an inequal crowth between rural and urban populations. In the third part, we fry to analyze the economy structural of the and demonstrate the rowgh the comparisun of the job sitiation in the two sectors ( agriculture and industry ), their growth potential and the impact feach in the economic life. Finally, the last part deals with the ruban growth of a middle city and its regional role a deep analysisof the city's tole in both its local and regional spaces (humains flux, the origins of commodities etc. . . ) allowed us to detect its area of influence and to determine its role in the space structuring the its shidy of the urban tissu (composition of population) and the variability of the extension forms resealed enomons habit collective habitation and equipement problems. Si l’assurance de groupe représente aujourd’hui un poids économique considérable, les interventions tardives du législateur n’ont pas fait disparaître les traces d’une application née de la pratique. Cette particularité a permis son essor, en laissant une place prépondérante à l’imagination des praticiens. Elle constitue désormais à nos yeux une source majeure d’insécurité juridique pour les protagonistes de l’opération d’assurance de groupe. On retrouve certes le mécanisme de la stipulation pour autrui dans tous les contrats d’assurance de groupe, mais l’objet de la stipulation n’est pas identique. La détermination de l’objet de la stipulation revêt une importance particulière, puisqu’elle permet d’identifier au sein de l’opération d’assurance quel rapport contractuel peut être qualifié de contrat d’assurance. Dans un contrat à adhésion facultative chaque adhérent est lié à l’assureur par un contrat individuel d’assurance. Au contraire, dans un contrat à adhésion obligatoire seul le contrat d’assurance de groupe est un contrat d’assurance. Elle assoit ainsi la différence fondamentale entre les contrats à adhésion facultative et ceux à adhésion obligatoire. Les dispositions propres aux contrats d’assurance de groupe étant trop lacunaires pour en constituer un véritable régime juridique, seuls les fondements juridiques sur lesquels reposent ces contrats vont permettre d’en dessiner les contours. Or, l’impossibilité manifeste de trouver un fondement juridique commun à l’ensemble des contrats d’assurance de groupe, impose la reconnaissance de deux régimes juridiques distincts, l’un concernant les contrats à adhésion facultative, l’autre ceux à adhésion obligatoire
If the group insurance has today an important economic weight, the legislator’s interventions have been late and the practice’s marks did not disappear. Because of this, the field men had an important role in its development. It is now, for us, a major source of legal insecurity in the use of group insurance. We can find the “stipulation for the benefit of a third party” mechanism in every group insurance agreements. However the stipulation object is not the same. The stipulation object determination is particularly important. It allows to identify, within the group insurance mechanism, which privity of contract is an insurance contract. In an optional agreement contract, each subscriber is linked to his insurance company through a single insurance contract. On the contrary, in a mandatory agreement contract, only the group insurance agreement is an insurance contract. This bases the difference between a mandatory agreement contract and an optional agreement contract. The provisions calculated to the group insurances are too incomplete to build a true system of law. Only the juridical grounds of these contracts allow to define their system of law. The obvious impossibility to find a common juridical ground for the whole group insurances, forces to recognize two separate systems of law. One deals with optional agreement contract, the other with mandatory agreement contract

Le but de ce travail est de situer les divinités égyptiennes et les mythes dans lesquels ellesinterviennent dans le contexte des sources médicales et magiques et de déterminer si elles seprésentent de façon identique dans celles se référant à des sources plus orthodoxes telles lescompositions épigraphiques des temples. Les divinités et les mythes dans lesquels elles interfèrentsont les mêmes dans les deux types de sources. Cependant dans le cadre de la magie et de lamédecine, elles apparaissent plus « humaines » étant sous-tendues par des nécessités de la viequotidienne ainsi que de piété populaire et personnelle. Ce travail intègre les textes sources àl’exposé des idées dans le but d’offrir une logique continue à la démonstration. Bien souvent destextes funéraires (textes des Pyramides, textes des Sarcophages, Livre des Morts…) permettent unearticulation entre divers mythèmes et une meilleure compréhension de l’ensemble d’un mythe. Esta Tesis tiene dos objetivos: en primer lugar, realizar una clasifica-ción de los nombres griegos de plantas que aparecen en las fórmulas de los Papiros Mágicos Griegos y proponer una identificación que responda a una especie actual, así como analizar su función dentro de las fórmulas mágicas: sahumerios, ofrendas, filacterias, etc. El segundo objetivo es el de averiguar qué características comparten estas plantas para ser usadas en la magia. La hipótesis que se plantea es que, había una causa externa: eran llamativas por su color, olor y forma, lugar en el que crecían, y otra causa, derivada de las propie-dades medicinales que muchas tenían. La combinación de ambas características hizo que fueran consideradas poderosas y usadas en la magia para reforzar el poder del mago y de los hechizos.
This Dissertation has two objectives: the first, to classify the Greek names of plants in the Greek Magical Papyri spells and propose an identification that responds to a current species, as well as to analyse its function within the magic spells: incenses, offerings, phylacteria, etc. The second aim is to find out what have in common these plants to be used in magic. The hypothesis this Dissertation propose is there was an external cause: most of the plants were astonishing because of their colour, smell or shape, or the land they grew; and another one, derived from the medicinal properties of most of all. Esta pesquisa investiga, através dos documentos da Inquisição de Zaragoza entre 1497 e 1700 as práticas heréticas dos réus homens qualificados por aquele tribunal como supersticiosos, portanto, praticantes de diversos tipos de magia necromancia, curandeirismo, exorcismo entre outras práticas mágicas. Através de objetos mágicos da necromancia, e dos temas pertencentes diversas de suas práticas mágicas, inclusive com o uso de papéis e textos que lhes dão suporte sobretudo a Clavícula Salomonis e o Livro de São Cipriano a magia masculina é construída sobre um campo específico de ação: o da magia material na qual o benefício individual é o único objetivo a ser alcançado. O diabo é não só um revelador dos conflitos entre o bem e o mal, mas também mostra os discursos dos hereges e as pedagogias da Inquisição e da Igreja.
This research investigates, through documents related to the Inquisition of Zaragoza that took place between 1497 and the 1700, the heretical practice of men held guilty by that Court, which considered them as superstitious. Such men were, therefore, practitioners of diverse types of magic necromancy, cunning practices, exorcism among other magical practices. Through the objects of necromancy, and the themes of many different magic practices, including the use of papers and texts that supported them specially the Clavícula Salomonis and the Book of São Cipriano male magic buildt itself on a specific field of action: the material magic in wich individual benefits are the unique aim to be reached. The devil is not just a revealer of conflicts between good and evil, but also shows the discourses of heretics, and the Inquisition and Church pedagogies.

Abstract:
The world-wide transdermal drug delivery market is quite large, but only a small number of agents have FDA approval. The primary reason for such limited development is the difficulty in permeating the stratum corneum layer of human skin. In our study, we developed a novel percutaneous delivery enhancing approach. Magainin peptide was previously shown to disrupt vesicles from stratum corneum lipid components and this ability of magainin allows us to propose that magainin can increase skin permeability. Therefore, we tested the hypothesis that magainin, a pore-forming peptide, can increase skin permeability by disrupting stratum corneum lipid structure and that magainin¡¯s enhancement requires co-administration of a surfactant chemical enhancer to increase magainin penetration into the skin. In support of these hypotheses, synergistic enhancement of transdermal permeation can be observed with magainin peptide in combination of N-lauroyl sarcosine (NLS) in 50% ethanol-PBS solution. The exposure to NLS in 50% ethanol solution increased in vitro skin permeability to fluorescein 15 fold and the addition of magainin synergistically increased skin permeability 47 fold. In contrast, skin permeability was unaffected by exposure to magainin without co-enhancement by NLS-ethanol. To elucidate the mechanism of this synergistic effect, several characterization methods such as differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction were applied. These analyses showed that NLS-ethanol disrupted stratum corneum lipid structure and that the combination of magainin and NLS-ethanol disrupted stratum corneum lipids even further. Furthermore, confocal microscopy showed that magainin in the presence of NLS-ethanol penetrated deeply and extensively into stratum corneum, whereas magainin alone penetrated poorly into the skin. Together, these data suggest that NLS-ethanol increased magainin penetration into stratum corneum, which further increased stratum corneum lipid disruption and skin permeability. Finally, skin permeability was enhanced by changing the charge of magainin peptide via pH change. We modulated pH from 5 to 11 to change the magainin charge from positive to neutral, which decreased skin permeability to a negatively charged fluorescein and increased skin permeability to a positively charged granisetron. This suggests that an attractive interaction between the drug and magainin peptide improves transdermal flux.

Since the introduction of the private commercial motor transport services in Tanzania in the 1990s, the inscription of sayings has shifted from their mainly traditional platforms of female cotton wrap (Kanga), palm leaf food cover (kawa) or hand fan (kipepeo) onto the tailgate, sideboards or mudguards of commercial automobiles. The vehicle owners and/or their operators are inscribers of these automobile slogans. I analyse them in three forms: standard, parodied and innovated sayings adopting the paremiological approaches by Mieder & Litovkina (1999), Mieder (2007), Litovkina (2011). Do these forms of car inscriptions fulfill the prediction by Kezilahabi (1988, 1995) on the imminent transformation of the Swahili sayings to become a platform for negotiation of people`s tumultuous life challenges and desires?

Cette étude situe les schémas de pensée d'un homme de la troisième génération républicaine et sa pratique politique dans la Meuse où il a été régulièrement réélu après avoir arraché de haute lutte son siège de député au nationaliste Henry Ferrette en 1910. Elle évoque son rapide apprentissage parlementaire puis son rôle comme combattant gravement blessé en novembre 1914 qui, membre du gouvernement Ribot, soutient le général Nivelle et s'abstient lors de la ratification du traité de Versailles. Elle montre la part prise par André Maginot dans l'occupation de la Ruhr, sa lutte contre le cartel des gauches et l'appel précoce à la formule de l'union nationale. Au delà des idées reçues, l'étude montre comment André Maginot fait adopter en décembre 1929 un financement pluriannuel pour le programme de fortifications préparé par Paul Painlevé, comment il choisit le général Weygand comme chef d'état-major et amorce un renforcement du potentiel militaire tout en participant a la définition de la position française lors de la conférence dite du désarmement. Une large place est réservée à l'action parlementaire et ministérielle d'André Maginot après la première guerre mondiale (pensions, colonies, guerre) avec une approche des modalités de la décision politique (interventions au conseil des ministres, tactique parlementaire, relations avec les journalistes) et de la gestion ministérielle (constitution des cabinets, relations avec les hauts fonctionnaires et l'état-major). At his research outlines the ways of thinking of a man that belonged to the third generation of republicans, as well as the way he acted politically in the Meuse department where he was continually re-elected after defeating nationalist H. Ferrette in a 1910 dead heat. It mentions his quick parliamentary learning period and, after he was severely wounded in November 1914, the part he played as a member of the Ribot cabinet, backing general Nivelle and choosing abstention in the ratification of the Versailles treaty it shows what part André Maginot played in the occupation of the Ruhr, his struggle against the coalition of 1924 and his early call for a suggested national union. Beyond prevailing ideas, the research shows how, in December 1929, André Maginot got the parliament to vote a several-year financial scheme for the fortifications building programmed designed by Paul Painleve, how he chose general Weygand as chief of staff and started reinforcing the country's military equipment while contributing to the definition of France’s position at the so-called conference of disarmament. A large part of this study is devoted to André Maginot’s parliamentary and ministerial action after the first world war (he was in charge of war pensions, of colonies, of war), and refers to the methods of political decision-making (interventions in cabinet meetings, parliamentary tactics, relations with high ranking civil servants and the general staff). Furthermore, this study allows defining more clearly the minister's relations with R. Poincare, G. Clemenceau, A. Millerand and A. Briand. It ends with an analysis of the marks left by André Maginot on the nation's subconscious : from the pink legend to the black legend

A presente tese visa analisar algumas passagens bíblicas do livro de Êxodo, situadas especialmente entre os capítulos 4 a 14, a partir do referencial teórico do simbolismo mágico-religioso. Para alcançar esse propósito, dividiremos a nossa pesquisa em quatro partes. Em primeiro lugar, buscaremos compreender o significado do símbolo, bem como a sua importância para a Bíblia Hebraica como um todo e, especialmente, para o livro de Êxodo. Em segundo lugar, dissertaremos sobre o significado da magia e da religião, percorreremos as principais teorias antropológicas e sociológicas a esse respeito e, então, justificaremos o emprego do termo composto mágico-religioso em nossa pesquisa. Em terceiro lugar, discorreremos sobre o fenômeno do mágico-religioso na Bíblia Hebraica. Por fim, em quarto e último lugar, com o auxílio do instrumental simbólico mágico-religioso previamente construído, apresentaremos a nossa tradução e respectiva exegese de alguns trechos do livro de Êxodo, compreendidos entre os capítulos 4 a 14. Para isso, nos basearemos no texto hebraico massorético presente na edição crítica padrão do Tanakh, isto é, a Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, editada por Karl Elliger e Wilhelm Rudolph, a qual encontrase atualmente em sua quinta edição revisada. Com esse trabalho pretendemos contribuir para os estudos concernentes à Bíblia Hebraica e, sobretudo, ao livro de Êxodo.
This thesis aims to analyze some biblical passages of the book of Exodus, especially situated between chapters 4-14, from the theoretical framework of magicreligious symbolism. To achieve this purpose, we will divide our research into four parts. First, we will seek to understand the meaning of the symbol, as well as its importance to the Hebrew Bible as a whole and especially to the book of Exodus. Second, we will discourse about the meaning of magic and religion, we will cover the main anthropological and sociological theories about it and then we justify the use of the compound term magical-religious in our research. Third, we will discuss on the phenomenon of the magical-religious in the Hebrew Bible. Finally, in fourth and last place, with the help of magical-religious symbolic instrumental previously constructed, we will present our translation and its exegesis of some excerpts from the book of Exodus, ranging from chapters 4 to 14. For this, we will base on the Hebrew Masoretic text present in the standard critical edition of the Tanakh, that is, the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, edited by Karl Elliger and Wilhelm Rudolph, which is currently in its fifth edition revised. With this work we intend to contribute to the studies concerning the Hebrew Bible and especially the book of Exodus.

Microorganisms of the class Actinobacteria and domain Archaea are interesting from a biotechnological perspective owing to their metabolic attributes as producers of secondary metabolites and resilience under harsh environmental conditions respectively. Lake Magadi is a soda lake well studied in terms of its geology and limnology. Research attention has also been drawn to the microbial populations which thrive in this unique habitat but currently there are no reports on the assessment of its microflora using molecular methods. This study aimed to assess the actinobacterial and archaeal communities within Lake Magadi, Kenya a hypersaline –highly alkaline habitat using metagenomic methods as a preliminary study to identify potential candidates for exploitative biology Samples from two sites dubbed Lake Magadi station 2 (LM2) and Lake Magadi salt pan 4 (LMS4) within the Lake Magadi were analyzed using the 16S rRNA gene as a phylogenetic marker. Cluster analysis of taxon-specific 16S rDNA PCR-DGGE profiles revealed moderately heterogeneous actinobacterial and archaeal populations across the sample sites under investigation which is probably a reflection of the differences in abiotic conditions at the study sites. This observation was also confirmed from the multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) plot. PCR-based clonal libraries of actinobacterial and archaeal communities of both study sites retrieved a total of thirty-two clones (twenty actinobacterial and twelve archaeal) were sequenced. Analysis of the sequences revealed cultured and uncultured signatures of microorganisms typical of hypersaline and or highly alkaline niches. A few (3) sequences presented novelty (<96%) in identities with any previously identified organism. It was concluded that the species dominance at site LMS4 [situated within the salt flats of Lake Magadi and site for exploration of trona and its mineralized extensions (nacholite and gayllusite)] is likely to be dictated by anthropogenic stress since most of the microbial signals associated with the study site are typical of saline and or alkaline environmental samples exposed to especially mining but also agricultural and waste management practices. Isolation studies also revealed previously identified strains peculiar to hypersaline brines and sediments. The strains retrieved were affiliated to the taxonomically diverse genus Bacillus and Halomonas sp. The true applications and potential opportunities these isolates have for biotechnology have been well documented. Observations made from the culture dependent and culture independent methods suggests strongly that study site LMS4 is subjected to environmental conditions more severe than at site LM2. This study is a guide for future studies as it provides primary information on the haloalkaliphilic representatives of the actinobacteria phylum and domain Archaea within the soda lake environment. It can serve as a pedestal for investigation into the molecular machinery that supports the haloalkaliphilic lifestyles of inhabiting microorganisms and consequently give leads as to how they can be commercially exploited.

This written work aims to addres the theme of Magic in the Mediterranean World at the period of Early Christianity. The Magic, wich, by its supernatural caracther, arouses interest and show the ways of relationship between human and sacred, at the same time that reveals several tensions and comprehensions about the popular religion´s practice. So, we construe the relationship between Magic and Miracle as so as the relationship of Magic and Religion. For this, we approach texts of Magic duels at canonical narratives, like Acts Of The Apostles 8. 4-25, that show common elements with the imagination of Early Christianity wich increase the tensions beteween Magicians and Apostles and enrich the presence and importance of the themeof Magic in the Mediterranean culture at the first centuries of the Christian Era. Especially in the face of this rivarly between thaumaturges, we can see the danger that Magic represented to the nascent Christianity and its identity in formation and the stratchs that the Magic bring for the teaching of the Apostles. So, after to broach the Magic elements at different narratives, we turn our attention to the Acts of Apostles, looking for the understanding of the importance of Luke´s narrative for the community of Early Christianity, especially in relation to the stricking and historical figure of Simon, The Magician. Simon was identified, historically, like the prototype heretic, Gnosticism´s father and Christianity´s corrupter, having borrowed his identity to represent all the way of corruptions of the apostolic teatching and ethical and moral deviations in the course of ecclesiastical history
Este trabalho tem como objetivo abordar o tema da magia no mundo mediterrâneo no período do Cristianismo Primitivo. A magia que, por seu caráter sobrenatural, desperta interesse e apresenta as formas de relação entre o humano e o sagrado, ao mesmo tempo em que revela diversas tensões e compreensões a respeito da prática da religiosidade popular. Deste modo, analisamos a relação entre magia e milagre e, também, sua relação com a religião. Para isso, abordamos textos de duelos mágicos tanto em narrativas canônicas, como Atos dos Apóstolos 8.4-25, quanto apócrifas, como Atos de Pedro, que apresentam elementos comuns ao imaginário cristão primitivo reforçando a tensão entre magos e apóstolos, e valorizando a presença e importância do tema na cultura do Mediterrâneo nos primeiros séculos da era cristã. Especialmente, diante dessa rivalidade entre taumaturgos, observamos o perigo que a magia representava em relação ao cristianismo nascente, para sua identidade em formação e o risco que esta oferecia para o ensino dos apóstolos. Assim, após abordar os elementos mágicos em diversas narrativas, voltamos nossa atenção ao texto canônico de Atos dos Apóstolos buscando compreender a importância da narrativa lucana para a comunidade do cristianismo nascente, especialmente em relação à figura marcante e histórica de Simão, o Mago. Simão, historicamente, foi identificado como o protótipo do herege, pai do gnosticismo e corruptor do cristianismo, tendo sua identidade “emprestada” para representar toda forma de corrupção dos ensinamentos apostólicos e desvios éticos e morais no decorrer da história eclesiástica.

This dissertation will examine the Greek expression ta. stoicei/a tou/ ko,smou, "the elements of the world", which appears in the letter of Colossians verses 8-20 of the second chapter. There will be an exegetical study of the biblical pericope 2:8-3:4 of the letter as well as a historical analysis specifically the term stoicei/a. The study of this expression is important to be able to understand the Colossians philosophy mentioned in Cl 2:8. The Christian church in the city of Colossae, is part of a syncretic religious social context. This syncretism is clearly seen in magic texts as the Greek Magical Papyri, very common in Minor Asia region, where the Colossian church was situated. Religious syncretism, involving Jewish and pagan beliefs, reflects the basis of this philosophy. The author of the letter to the Colossians refutes the belief in "elements of the world" and the subservience to them. Among other beliefs, it was believed that these "elements" could influence events on land and the fate of people. Issues involving ascetic practices, worship of angels and observance of the liturgical calendar, give the contours of this philosophy. The writer emphasizes the Lordship of Christ and his works in favor of Colossian Christians, who gave them a good destination. Moreover, the Colossian Christians are guaranteed a freedom that could not be curtailed by any other religious beliefs. So the works of Christ and his lordship are the main arguments used by the author of the letter, in order to say to Christians in Colossae that they no longer need to fear their fate and to submit to the "elements of the world".
Esta dissertação de mestrado analisará a expressão grega ta. stoicei/a tou/ ko,smou, “os elementos do mundo”, que ocorre na carta de Colossenses nos versículos 8 e 20 do segundo capítulo. Será feito um estudo exegético na perícope bíblica 2.8-3.4 da referida carta, bem como uma análise histórica especificamente do termo stoicei/a. O estudo desta expressão é importante para poder se compreender a filosofia colossense mencionada em Cl 2.8. A igreja cristã na cidade de Colossos estava inserida em um contexto social religioso sincrético. Esse sincretismo é percebido claramente em textos de magia como os Papiros Mágicos Gregos, muito comuns na região da Ásia Menor, a mesma onde a igreja colossense estava situada. O sincretismo religioso, envolvendo crenças judaicas e pagãs, reflete as bases dessa filosofia. O autor da carta aos Colossenses refuta a crença nos “elementos do mundo”, bem como a subserviência aos mesmos. Dentre outras crenças, acreditava-se que esses “elementos” poderiam influenciar os acontecimentos sobre a terra e o destino das pessoas. Questões que envolvem práticas acéticas, adoração a anjos e observância de calendário litúrgico, dão os contornos dessa filosofia. O autor da carta enfatiza o senhorio de Cristo, bem como as obras dele em favor dos cristãos colossenses, que proporcionavam a eles, segurança quanto a terem um bom destino. E, além disso, é assegurada uma liberdade aos cristãos colossenses que não podia lhes ser cerceada por quaisquer outras crenças religiosas. Então, as obras de Cristo, bem como o seu senhorio, são os principais argumentos utilizados pelo autor da carta, a fim de afirmar aos cristãos em Colossos que eles não precisam mais temer o destino e nem se submeter aos “elementos do mundo”.

A síndrome de Smith-Magenis (SMS) foi descrita , em 1986, como uma síndrome que envolvia uma mutação na região 17p em 9 pacientes. Sua prevalência esta estimada em um caso a cada 25.000 nascidos vivos. A SMS apresenta fenótipo que inclui características físicas, no desenvolvimento e comportamentais. Os sinais faciais se caracterizam por uma face larga e de forma quadrangular, braquicefalia, frontal proeminente, sinofre, fendas palpebrais alongadas para cima, ponte nasal larga, hipoplasia de face média, nariz largo e achatado, micrognatia na infância com relativa prognatia com a idade e lábio superior protruso e em „v‟ invertido. Os sinais clínicos mais importantes na SMS são comportamentais que levam a autoagressão, hiperatividade e déficit atenção. Foram estudados 31 pacientes brasileiros com suspeita diagnóstica de SMS. As análises genéticas realizadas para avaliar este grupo incluíram técnicas de citogenética molecular (FISH), aCGH, PCR quantitativa e busca por mutações na região de transcrição do gene RAI1. Os resultados demostraram que mais de 90% dos casos neste estudo tinham deficiência mental, atraso no desenvolvimento da fala e comportamento de auto-injúria. Além disso, 30% (9/30) tiveram deleção ou mutação de ponto na região 17p11.2 e RAI1 gene, sendo que 67% apresentaram uma deleção clássica (6/9), 11% tinham uma deleção atípica (1/9) e 22% (2/9) tinham uma mutação no gene RAI1. Foi possível determinar o ponto de quebra das deleções observadas e determinar os genes envolvidos. The Smith-Magenis syndrome (SMS) was described in 1986 as a syndrome involving a deletion in the 17p region in 9 patients. Its prevalence is estimated at one case per 25.000 live births. The SMS has phenotype that includes physical and behavioral development. The facial features are characterized by brachycephaly, midface hypoplasia, relative prognatism, everted, tented upper lip and deep-set, close-spaced eyes. The most important clinical features in SMS are leading behavioral self-injury, hyperactivity and attention deficit. We studied 31 Brazilian patients with suggested diagnostic to SMS. The genetic analysis performed to evaluate this group included molecular cytogenetic techniques (FISH), aCGH, quantitative PCR and the search for mutations in the gene transcription RAI1. Results showed that over 90% of the cases in this study had intellectual disability, delayed speech-language development, and self-injurious behavior. Furthermore, 30% had deletion or point mutation in the 17p11.2 region and RAI1 gene. Within this group, we found that 67% carried a classic deletion, 11% had an atypical deletion and 22% had a mutation in the RAI1 gene. It was possible to determine the breakpoint of the deletions observed and to determine the genes involved. The atypical deletion described reached part of the gene RAI1 and to date had not been described. In addition, two point mutations in exon 3 gene have been described. Finally, in this study group, one case was diagnosed with 1p36 deletion syndrome hinting of a possible new Differential Diagnosis for SMS. These findings add information for the etiology of SMS and may facilitate the development of new diagnostic tools, including FISH probes and sequencing-based screening for mutations.
