Full textMagistriniame darbe nagrinėjamas Lietuvos viešųjų ryšių agentūrų konkurencinio pranašumo klausimas. Kitas svarbus darbo tikslas yra pabandyti nustatyti ilguoju laikotarpiu sėkmingo ar nesėkmingo agentūros darbo priežastis. Konkurencinio pranašumo dalyko literatūros analizė ir darbo autoriaus asmeninė profesinė patirtis lėmė Ištekliais paremto požiūrio (Resource based view (J. Barney) naudojimą, kaip tyrimo modelio pagrindą. Tačiau akademinė Industrinės organizacijos (Indutrial Organization (M. Porter) kryptis nėra atmetama, o papildo tyrimo modelį bendrųjų konkurencinio pranašumo strategijų (Generic strategies) analize Lietuvos viešųjų ryšių rinkoje. Apibūdinant Lietuvos ryšių su visuomenę industriją, reikia paminėti, kad ji yra santykinai labai jauna – jaunesnė nei 20 metų. Tikrasis jos dydis taip pat yra sunkiai nustatomas, kadangi ne visos agentūros teikia savo finansinius duomenis „Verslo žinių“ metiniams sąvadams, tačiau, remiantis jais, rinkoje 2008 metais dirbo 23 agentūros, o bendra agentūrų apyvarta sudarė apie 100 mln. Lt. Iš ES struktūrinių fondų finansuojami projektai ir didelių įmonių atsigręžimas į socialinės atsakomybės sritį buvo laikomi rinkos augimo varikliais. Empirinis tyrimas atskleidė, kad personalo kompetencija (žmogiškieji resursai) ir agentūros know-how (žinios) yra pagrindiniai viešųjų ryšių agentūrų konkurencinio pranašumo šaltiniai. Der Gegenstand dieser Arbeit sind die Kommunikationsbesonderheiten des internationalen Literaturfestivals Berlin. Das Forschungsobjekt – in einem empirischen Teil des internationalen Literaturfestivals Berlin wurden die Bücher der Deutschautoren zur Arbeitsgrundlage bei der Beschreibung der Organisationskommunikationsbesonderheiten und bei der Analyse der Unterschiede zwischen dem internationalen Literaturfestival Berlin und den Medien. Das Ziel – die Analyse der Inhalts- und Thematik- Unterschiede zwischen den Organisationen und Medien. The goal of the study – to analyse the relationship between public relations and social media and to discuss the perspectives of the public relations practice. In the context of the social media, the study analysis shifts in interpersonal and corporate communications, classical massive communication theories, traditional media and public relations. Nowadays in the presence of social media, organizations are loosing control of the message, timing and channels, but, on the other hand, they are gaining a huge variety of online tools to communicate with their publics directly. Traditional media today is experiencing technological, social and market changes. More over it faces a new competitor – social media. Those two medias are very different, but organizations and public relations professionals concider them as equivalent communication channels with the publics. Full textIn this master paper the image of Lithuania in Europe, formed by the embassies of the Republic of Lithuania, is being analyzed. The object of the paper- communication and public relations measures, which are used by diplomats to represent the state, to publicize the events occurring in the embassy and to communicate with foreign target audiences. The research was done in several stages. At first the role of the Lithuanian diplomatic missions of forming the image of the state was determined, measures public relations and methods of communication with audiences were identified. The ways how the embassies establish communication activities were analyzed using questioning survey and interviews with the diplomats working in different European states. Finally the interviews with experts helped to evaluate the expediency of the diplomatic and communication activities and the state image formation possibilities in the context of public diplomacy. The research revealed that in different embassies of the Republic of Lithuania the same communication measures were being used and the frequency depends on the events in the embassy, number of diplomats working and budget. Full textMaster's education work object – image of a politician on a television, the role of a PR specialist in a theory and practice. The purpose of this essay is to clarify the role of PR and a politician's image on a television. Scientific literature analysis, deduction and extrapolation were the methods used to draw conclusions. The role of PR practitioner as a politician's image developer was investigated in the analysis and quantitative survey (practical study). It was found that in Lithuania the role of a PR specialist is not significant in the process of creating a politicians‘ image on TV. This process is such a narrow area in Lithuania, that there are not enough competent professionals to analyse this angle of political PR. Practically, politicians still lack the experience when they participate in the production of a television content. Therefore, the main task of a public relations specialist is to explain the concept of television and most common tactical means of image-building in TV. The confidence and intensive communication among a PR practitioner and a politician is important as well. This paper can be useful for a public relations academics and practitioners, as well as politicians who participate in television broadcasts.

The aim of this work is to explain how it’s possible to used activism like device of public relation. The main objectives were these: to define activism and public relation definitions; to analyse theories of social movements; to analyse how and why public relation use an activism in its practice, what have an influence and decide success; to define main concepts of the research; to create methodology; to prove, that research example is a social movement and in the same time it is device of public relation. Interview was used as a method. Example of research is roller-skate club “Heat of Thursday night” social movement named “Attention – you are watched”. this action organizer was as respondent. This action was in Vilnius that very day, when in many cities in the world was „International days againts video“. The hypothesis was that “many ties connecting people in social network. Organization use this network like public relation device”. Hypothesis was fully supported by the research. Research show that network was flexible and changing in time. Full textTourism is among the most perspective and largest sectors of economics in the world. It covers approximately 7% of total investments, 11% of consumer expenses and payable taxes. Tourism sector creates 350 million new jobs, and it covers 6 % of the gross national product. Tourism receives more and more attention in Lithuania as well: the long-term strategy of the Lithuanian Economy development plan until 2015 seeks to create Lithuanian image that represent Lithuania as a country attractive for tourism, it seeks to recover resort tourism development in Palanga, Druskininkai, Birštonas and in other areas. Lithuanian forecasts to create 8% of the gross national product and receive 17 billion of incomes from the inbound tourism in 2015. For the above, the effective tourism sector presentation has a national importance. Effective presentation has many criteria, however, most of them are based on communication and the spread of information. Taking in mind that these methods are very complex and thus professional approach to them is very important, public relations (PR) are reasonably considered as coordinated and effective method for representational aims. Full textAlthough communication is a method, which is most widely used by business organizations, public, political and even religious organizations apply it as well. Lithuania still feels the lack of public relations knowledge, especially in service companies or organizations not connected with profit-making. The Catholic Church of Lithuania encounters quite a lot of problems, which might be solved applying the knowledge of communication and public relations. Although Roman Catholic Church has already formed basics of communication policy by announcing several decrees concerning this field, it is still estimated too insufficiently in Lithuania. Therefore, the Catholic Church of Lithuania is starting to realize necessity of communication in today’s secular society. I have carried out the analysis of the public relations activities of the Catholic Church of Lithuania. The results of the analysis showed that there are two main levels of public communication in Lithuania – the national one and the congregational one, but none of them is carried proper. The Catholic Church of Lithuania has to form individual pastoral plan of communication and reorganize existing implements – make them more innovative and effective in order to reach audience and do an impact on it.

Full textCurrently, a lot of attention is given to environmental protection worldwide. The environmental problems are not something new or unexpected. They are very relevant in the twenty-first century. It is important that society would be informed of the environmental problems in the most efficient way ensuring balanced development of the country, while maintaining healthy natural environment, preserving the landscape and biodiversity and optimizing the use of nature. The aim of the research is to explore public awareness of environment protection and assess the project activities of public environmental briefing in educative broadcasts, newspapers and a web portal. In this master thesis, we shall consider the support of EU Structural Funds for Lithuania in 2007-2013, which is provided in accordance with the Lithuanian Strategy for the use of European Union Structural Assistance for 2007-2013 and the Cohesion Promotion Action Programme. The support is a great assistance for public briefing about the environmental problems. Full textTIKSLAS: Įvertinti ortodontinio problemas ir perspektyvas atsižvelgiant į ortodontinio problemas tarp paauglių vaikų mieste Chennai, Indija. TIKSLAI: Analizuoti skirtumus reikalingas Ortodontinis gydymas tarp vaikų, viešąsias ir privačias mokyklas; analizuoti kad ortodontinio gydymo tarp įvairių socialinių ir ekonominių grupių; vertinti gyvenimo kokybę (QoL) tarp vaikų; išanalizuoti ryšį tarp gyvenimo kokybę (QoL) ir ortodontinio gydymo poreikį. METODAI: 200 vaikai dalyvavo tyrime, iš kurių 100 buvo privati mokykla ir 100 iš viešųjų mokyklų iš miesto Chennai, Indija. Vienų, ir klausimynų buvo naudojami tyrimo, vienas buvo užpildyti vaikų ir kitų buvo užpildyti mokslininkų ir apmokyti dantų padėjėjai po daro dantų nuodugniai ir užduoti klausimus iš dalyvių. Tai buvo daroma pagal PSO burnos sveikatos vertinimo rekomendacijas. Statistiniai duomenys buvo renkami, įrašytos ir analizuoti naudojant SPSS 17,0 programinė įranga Windows. REZULTATAI: Privačios mokyklos vaikai turėjo daugiau ortodontinio problemų nei valstybinių mokyklų vaikai (atitinkamai 49 % ir 44 %). Ortodontinio gydymo poreikis buvo didžiausias vaikams pagal turtingas kategorija (56.4 %), po to vaikai iki prastos kategorija (45.3 %) ir kas tarp vaikų iki vidutinės kategorijos (44.4 %). Gyvenimo kokybė buvo nustatyta, kad geriau tarp vaikų, privačios mokyklos nei valstybinėse mokyklose (90,6 % ir 89.0 % atitinkamai). Full textFacing the rapidity of globalization processes, open markets form and competition increases. The trust of an organization and good image of an organization becomes one of the main factors, which helps to compete in the market. Successful pursuit of the aims of an organization depends on the public opinion. In order to form the opinion of the public, purposefully targeted activities are invoked named as the public relations. The main concepts, defining the public relations are credibility, trust, communication and endeavour for mutual understanding. The public relations is one of the means by which the society adapts to the changes and accepts them, coordinates different and feuding approaches, values, ideas and individuals. The technologies of the public relations and methods of image formation of an organization are described by the professionals of marketing, communications and other areas; however, their practical application is little analyzed. Therefore, considering the relevance of the question, theoretical means of the public relations activities shall be examined, and their application in profit and non-profit organizations shall be analyzed.

Full textMaster's thesis analyses the publicity features of business organizations. This topic is actual because business organizations that are planning and taking care of their publicity have to evaluate forms of expression and capacity in the media and select the means that allow best access to targeted audiences, thus improving their performance. The object of work of the Master's thesis is the advertising features of business organizations. Hypothesis of work is the organization's size, the economic sector, and positions on the stock exchange that affect the organization's publicity in the media. The aim of work is to explore the advertising features of business organizations and their determinants. Targets of work: to discuss the concept of publicity, determining factors and classification methods, to analyze the features of publicity change, to examine the specificity of publicity among business organisations, to examine the publicity in the media of companies from two economic sectors (petroleum and telecommunications) and companies enlisted in Vilnius Stock Exchange, to assess significance of the organisation’s size, economic sector and positions on the stock exchange for the publicity in the media. Full textThe present study aims to analyze the first manifestations of PR in Portugal, particularly the PR models adopted (Grunig and Hunt, 1984), seeking to highlight the role played by the historical context. With reference to the period between 1910 and 1948, a research strategy of case study methodology was elected, focused on The Anglo-Portuguese Telephone Company, Ltd. (APT), also known as Companhia dos Telefones, which developed activity in Portugal between 1887 and 1967. Scientifically, the research intends to help filling the existing gaps in the national and European PR historiography. As so, seven goals were defined: 1) to date the origins of PR in Portugal (covering the term, the concept, the practice and the participants dimensions) and unveil its antecedents; 2) to determine and contextualize the underlying causes of the phenomenon; 3) to characterize the process of corporate institutionalization of PR; 4) to determine the applicability in Portugal of the PR models created by Grunig and Hunt (1984); 5) to evidence which factors led to the practice of a given RP model or dictated the transition between models; 6) to verify the existence in Portugal of an evolutionary ethical progression in the PR practice; 7) to lay the foundations for a historical periodization of PR in Portugal. The study concluded that there is a need to revise the historiographic paradigm related to the introduction of PR in Portugal. Also, the PR models are suited to describe the PR history in Portugal. Thirdly, there is a process of coevolution between PR and journalism, which was, along with unprecedented changes in the overall context, one of the causal factors for the emergence of PR.
