Abstract:

Zusammenfassung Einleitung Studien deuten darauf hin, dass LSBTI-Menschen im Gesundheitssystem häufig mit Herausforderungen und Benachteiligungen konfrontiert sind, die eng mit ihren Sexual- und Geschlechtsbiografien verbunden sind. Für eine deutsche Großstadt liegt hierzu noch keine zielgruppenübergreifende Untersuchung vor. Forschungsziele Ziel der Studie ist die Beantwortung der Frage, was behandelnde und beratende Fachkräfte über die Sexual- und Geschlechtsbiografien von LSBTI-Menschen wissen sollten und wie sie in ihrer jeweiligen Praxis mit LSBTI-Menschen umgehen sollten, um im Stadtstaat Hamburg eine bessere Gesundheitsversorgung gewährleisten zu können. Methoden Es wurden fünf Expert_inneninterviews mit LSBTI-Menschen und drei Fokusgruppen durchgeführt und mithilfe der qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse ausgewertet. Ergebnisse Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass es von zentraler Bedeutung ist, dass Fachkräfte im Gesundheitswesen eigene Annahmen und Vorurteile gegenüber LSBTI-Menschen ehrlich hinterfragen. Außerdem sollten sie insbesondere mit Herausforderungen des Coming-outs vertraut sein, diverse Lebens- und Beziehungsmodelle mitdenken, unterschiedliche Phasen der sexuellen und geschlechtlichen Entwicklung sowie Einflüsse darauf kennen, sexuelles Verhalten und sexuelle Identität unterscheiden – und all dies bei der Behandlung bzw. Beratung bedarfsgerecht berücksichtigen. Schlussfolgerung Für eine bessere Gesundheitsversorgung sollten Fachkräfte für die allgemeinen und individuellen Herausforderungen in den Sexual- und Geschlechtsbiografien von LSBTI-Menschen sensibilisiert sein und relevante Themen direkt ansprechen.

Abstract:

Gemäß EU-Aufnahmerichtlinie 2013/33/EU ist Deutschland zur rechtlichen Verankerung geeigneter Maßnahmen bei der Unterbringung Geflüchteter sowie zur Identifizierung besonderer Schutzbedarfe verpflichtet. Lesbische, schwule, bisexuelle, trans- und intergeschlechtliche (LSBTI*) Geflüchtete werden in der Richtlinie nicht als besonders schutzbedürftige Gruppen benannt. Zwar hat die Bundesregierung 2017 bei der Ergänzung der bundesweiten Mindeststandards zum Schutz von geflüchteten Menschen in Flüchtlingsunterkünften dem LSBTI*-Schutzbedarf durch einen Katalog spezifischer Schutzmaßnahmen Rechnung getragen, jedoch liegt die Kompetenz bezüglich der Unterbringung und des Gewaltschutzes bei den Bundesländern. Der Artikel analysiert daher die vorliegenden Gewaltschutzkonzepte der Bundesländer im Hinblick auf die Verankerung dieses besonderen Schutzbedarfs. LSBTI*-relevante Schutzmaßnahmen werden in Form von Clustern detailliert vorgestellt und so spezifische Bedarfe herausgearbeitet. Insgesamt verfügten im Beobachtungszeitraum (01.01.-10.03.2019) nur 9 von 16 Bundesländern über ein Gewaltschutzkonzept – diese verankerten im Schnitt weniger als ein Drittel der in den Mindeststandards beschriebenen LSBTI*-spezifischen Schutzmaßnahmen.

O estudo em tela ou em mãos objetiva contribuir com o preenchimento de lacunas sobre a historiografia da homossexualidade alemã, construindo novas perspectivas para os estudos sobre gênero e sexualidade no Brasil. Metodologicamente, o estudo fundamenta-se em uma revisão de literatura de cunho histórico-descritivo sobre o tratamento das distintas formas de manifestação das (homo)sexualidades através de Karl Heirich Ulrichs. Considera-se que os estudos de Ulrich sobre a condição do sujeito “Urning” (homossexual) foram responsáveis pela mudança de paradigma do movimento LSBTI, contrapondo-se as concepções científicas hegemônicas que viam a prática da homossexualidade como “sodomia”, vício adquirido, aberração, anormalidade e pecado.

Abstract:

O estudo em tela ou em mãos tem como objetivo analisar a sociogênese e a sociopoética das sexualidades não hegemônicas de forma específica, bem como verificar como se dava o tratamento das distintas formas de manifestação das (homo) sexualidades por pesquisadores alemães após 1933 com a implementação do Terceiro Reich até a subsequente derrota em 1945 dos países do Eicho Roma-Berlim-Tóquio, os quais tinham a frente Adolf Hitler, Benedito Mussoline e Michinomiya Hirohito. Para tal, foi realizada uma revisão da literatura com base em uma análise historiográfica, tendo como suporte a língua alemã. São teóricos que compõe o estudo: Magnus Hirschfeld (1904; 1910; 1914; 1920; 1930), por Burkhard Jellonnek e Rüdiger Lautmann (2012), Heindrun Kaupen-Hass e Christian Saller (2009) e por Bernd-Ulrich Hergemöller (2000; 1999a; 1999b) entre outros com semelhante reconhecimento pelos pares. Pode-se considerar que os processos e punição e perseguição durante o III Deutsche Reich contra pessoas LSBTI, pode ser considerado um dos marcos históricos da trajetória dos processos de abjeção as sexualidades dissidentes.

Abstract:

Diffusion tensor (DT) magnetic resonance (MR) imaging in addition to conventional MR images provide valuable information on the brain. This study compared line scan DT imaging with and without the ECG-gating technique to estimate clinical usefulness of the line scan diffusion tensor image (LSDTI) with ECG-gating in evaluating spinal cord diseases in vivo. First, five healthy volunteers participated in the comparison study. LSDWI was performed in three to five sagittal sections with a pulsed-field-gradient diffusion preparation pulse employing two different b-values (0 and 700 s/mm2) along six directions. Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) maps and fractional anisotropy (FA) were calculated and three-dimensional tract reconstruction and color schemes of the spinal cord were obtained. Image quality and the acquisition time of each LSDTI were compared. Second, LSDTI with ECG-gating was performed in eighteen patients with cervical spinal cord disorders and evaluated by two neuroradiologists. Images with the ECG-gated technique were all superior to those without ECG—gating. Mean extended time for LSDTI with ECG-gating was approximately two minutes. In clinical use, the ADC and FA of spinal cord in patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy statically changed. Moreover, demonstration of fibers was correlated with clinical symptoms. ECG-gating technique is preferable to LSDTI. The ADC and FA measurements and 3D fiber tracking of LSDTI with ECG-gating are promising methods to estimate cervical spinal cord pathology in clinical use.

Abstract:

In this study, a novel large-scale barge-type floating offshore wind turbine with an aquaculture cage (LSBT-FOWT-AC) in a water depth of 100 m is designed through fully coupled analysis using the SESAM tool to support the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) 10 MW wind turbine. The intact stability and natural period of motion of the newly designed LSBT-FOWT-AC are evaluated based on the DNV rules and standards. Then, the dynamic responses of the LSBT-FOWT-AC under various sea conditions are studied. The motion of the LSBT-FOWT-AC platform is considerably affected by waves, and its motion response is within a reasonable range even under the extreme sea conditions of the 100-year return period. By analyzing the results of the out-of-plane bending moment of root of blade 1 (RootMyc1), it can be seen that the rotor frequency (1P) has a visible influence on the wind turbine. Through the analysis of dynamic response statistics of the LSBT-FOWT-AC structure by the single variable method of environmental loads, it is found that wind force exerts the greatest impact on the dynamic response compared to the wave-excitation force and current drag force.

Zusammenfassung Ausgehend von der durch Spivak (1988) bekannt gemachten Gruppe der Subalternen erörtert dieser Aufsatz, wie Suniti Namjoshis Feminist Fables diesen eine Stimme verleiht. Namjoshis LSBTQ-Standpunkt und -Anliegen treten in ihren Erzählungen deutlich hervor. Sie stellen die Gramsci’sche Hegemonie in Frage, treten ihr entgegen und kritisieren sie, indem sie dem Pantachantra, Aesops Fabeln und Andersens Märchen den Prozess machen. Letztlich zielt dieser Aufsatz darauf ab, die Ausdrucksweisen der Subalternität aufzuzeigen, sowie darzulegen, welche moralischen Lehren feministische LSBTQ-Fabeln im Zusammenhang mit einer Marginalisierung in den Vordergrund rücken.

Astrid Biele Mefebue, Katharina Jäntschi und Doreen Müller gehen zum einen der Frage nach, wie Teilhabe in der Jugendarbeit aus einer diversitätsorientierten Perspektive diskutiert werden kann. Dazu führen sie Erkenntnisse zu Macht- und Ungleichheitsverhältnissen mit der Teilhabedebatte zusammen. Zum anderen zeigen sie, welche Teilhabechancen LSBTQ-Jugendliche in der Jugendarbeit haben, welche Ein- und Ausschlüsse es für diese Jugendlichen gibt und welche Schlussfolgerungen sich daraus für eine Weiterentwicklung der Jugendarbeit ziehen lassen. Sie stützen sich dabei auf Ergebnisse einer qualitativen Untersuchung der Jugendarbeit in Niedersachsen, für die LSBTQ-Jugendliche befragt wurden. Untersucht wurde die Frage nach Potenzialen von Angeboten der Jugendarbeit für Jugendliche unterschiedlicher geschlechtlicher und sexueller Identifizierungen sowie nach (möglichen) Ausschlüssen solcher Jugendlichen aus Handlungsfeldern der Jugendarbeit. Der Beitrag spricht Wissenschaftler/innen unterschiedlicher Disziplinen an, aber insbesondere auch Akteurinnen und Akteure der Jugendarbeit.

Abstract:

e15526 Background: Recent research suggested that current blood tests are not cost-effective for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening in patients declining other options, i.e., compared to not screening those patients.(1) The findings were from a new decision-analytic model evaluating a multi-cancer detection (MCD) test. Relative to this MCD test, emerging “targeted” CRC blood tests have higher suggested sensitivity for CRC precursors and lower specificity for subjects without any adenomas or CRC. We examine the cost-effectiveness of these emerging tests. Methods: An established CISNET model was replicated, validated, and then used to evaluate blood testing from age 45 to age 75 years, at 1, 2 or 3-year intervals. An MCD test (Galleri®) with 99.5% specificity, 0.5% advanced adenoma (AA) sensitivity, and 82.0% CRC sensitivity (99.5%, 0.5%, 82%) was compared to two hypothetical targeted CRC tests: a low-sensitivity blood test (lsBT) just meeting U.S. national coverage criteria (90%, 10%, 74%), and a high-sensitivity blood test (hsBT) with performance assumptions based on published data (90%, 20%, 90%). Galleri costs $949 per test; lsBT and hsBT costs were varied ($100-$1500). Outcomes included the estimated mortality reduction, and the discounted quality-adjusted life-years (QALY) gained, costs of screening, follow-up colonoscopy and treatment, and costs/QALY gained vs. no screening. Results: Estimated lifetime CRC incidence and mortality without screening were 85.9 and 32.9 per 1000, respectively. Triennial screening with Galleri reduced estimated CRC mortality by 15.6%, yielded 26.9 QALYs gained per 1000, and cost $191,135/QALY gained. Annual screening increased benefit to 28.9% mortality reduction and 46.6 QALYs gained, at $300,254/QALY gained. In contrast, at $1000 per test, lsBT every 1-3 years reduced mortality by 50.2-76.4%, yielded 71.0-109.5 QALYs gained, and cost $51,330-$67,420/QALY gained. hsBT testing further improved outcomes to 60.8-80.9% mortality reduction, 88.1-119.6 QALY gained, and $35,519-$58,125/QALY gained. Costs per QALY gained were lower for lsBT and hsBT vs. Galleri irrespective of the assumed unit costs, and never exceeded $82,902 for triennial testing. Conclusions: Emerging targeted blood tests for CRC can be cost-effective for screening and could be important in reaching underserved populations, once available. Targeted tests and MCD tests differ meaningfully in their accuracy, clinical interpretation, and use, and should not be treated as a similar type of screening test.

Abstract:

Stromboli volcano has a persistent activity that is almost exclusively explosive. Predominated by low intensity events, this activity is occasionally interspersed with more powerful episodes, known as major explosions and paroxysms, which represent the main hazards for the inhabitants of the island. Here, we propose a machine learning approach to distinguish between paroxysms and major explosions by using satellite-derived measurements. We investigated the high energy explosive events occurring in the period January 2018–April 2021. Three distinguishing features are taken into account, namely (i) the temporal variations of surface temperature over the summit area, (ii) the magnitude of the explosive volcanic deposits emplaced during each explosion, and (iii) the height of the volcanic ash plume produced by the explosive events. We use optical satellite imagery to compute the land surface temperature (LST) and the ash plume height (PH). The magnitude of the explosive volcanic deposits (EVD) is estimated by using multi-temporal Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) intensity images. Once the input feature vectors were identified, we designed a k-means unsupervised classifier to group the explosive events at Stromboli volcano based on their similarities in two clusters: (1) paroxysms and (2) major explosions. The major explosions are identified by low/medium thermal content, i.e., LSTI around 1.4 °C, low plume height, i.e., PH around 420 m, and low production of explosive deposits, i.e., EVD around 2.5. The paroxysms are extreme events mainly characterized by medium/high thermal content, i.e., LSTI around 2.3 °C, medium/high plume height, i.e., PH around 3330 m, and high production of explosive deposits, i.e., EVD around 10.17. The centroids with coordinates (PH, EVD, LSTI) are: Cp (3330, 10.7, 2.3) for the paroxysms, and Cme (420, 2.5, 1.4) for the major explosions.

Stromboli volcano has a persistent activity that is almost exclusively explosive. Predominated by low intensity events, this activity is occasionally interspersed with more powerful episodes, known as major explosions and paroxysms, which represent the main hazards for the inhabitants of the island. Here, we propose a machine learning approach to distinguish between paroxysms and major explosions by using satellite-derived measurements. We investigated the high energy explosive events occurring in the period January 2018–April 2021. Three distinguishing features are taken into account, namely (i) the temporal variations of surface temperature over the summit area, (ii) the magnitude of the explosive volcanic deposits emplaced during each explosion, and (iii) the height of the volcanic ash plume produced by the explosive events. We use optical satellite imagery to compute the land surface temperature (LST) and the ash plume height (PH). The magnitude of the explosive volcanic deposits (EVD) is estimated by using multi-temporal Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) intensity images. Once the input feature vectors were identified, we designed a k-means unsupervised classifier to group the explosive events at Stromboli volcano based on their similarities in two clusters: (1) paroxysms and (2) major explosions. The major explosions are identified by low/medium thermal content, i.e., LSTI around 1.4 °C, low plume height, i.e., PH around 420 m, and low production of explosive deposits, i.e., EVD around 2.5. The paroxysms are extreme events mainly characterized by medium/high thermal content, i.e., LSTI around 2.3 °C, medium/high plume height, i.e., PH around 3330 m, and high production of explosive deposits, i.e., EVD around 10.17. The centroids with coordinates (PH, EVD, LSTI) are: Cp (3330, 10.7, 2.3) for the paroxysms, and Cme (420, 2.5, 1.4) for the major explosions.

The military are selected on the basis of physical standards and are regularly involved in strong physical activities, also related to particular sports training. The aims of the study were to analyze the effect of a 7-month military training program on body composition variables and the suitability of specific ‘bioelectrical impedance vector analysis’ (spBIVA), compared to DXA, to detect the changes in body composition. A sample of 270 male Brazilian cadets (19.1 ± 1.1 years), composed of a group practicing military physical training routine only (MT = 155) and a group involved in a specific sport training (SMT = 115), were measured by body composition assessments (evaluated by means of DXA and spBIVA) at the beginning and the end of the military routine year. The effect of training on body composition was similar in SMT and MT groups, with an increase in LST. DXA and spBIVA were correlated, with specific resistance (Rsp) and reactance (Xcsp) positively related to fat mass (FM), FM%, LST, and lean soft tissue index (LSTI), and phase angle positively related to LST and LSTI. Body composition variations due to physical training were recognized by spBIVA: the increase in muscle mass was indicated by the phase angle and Xcsp increase, and the stability of FM% was consistent with the unchanged values of Rsp. Military training produced an increase in muscle mass, but no change in FM%, independently of the sample characteristics at baseline and the practice of additional sports. SpBIVA is a suitable technique for the assessment of body composition in military people.

Am 9.3.2015 bewarf Chumani Maxwele die Statue von Cecil Rhodes am Universitätsgelände der University of Cape Town mit Fäkalien. Aus dem Unmut gegen die Präsenz des Kolonialisten Rhodes an der Universität und damit aus der Kritik an dieser diskriminierenden Erinnerungskultur entwickelte sich eine der größten sozialen Bewegungen Südafrikas seit der Überwindung der Apartheid. Die Studierenden forderten mit dem Rhodes Must Fall und später mit Fees Must Fall den freien Zugang zur tertiären Bildung und einen universitären Raum jenseits von Diskriminierung und Rassismus. Dekolonisierung und Intersektionalität waren dabei zwei zentrale Schlagworte für das Verständnis der Unrechtserfahrungen der Studierenden und zugleich fassten sie die multiplen Forderungen der Studierenden zusammen. Die vielfache Zuschreibung dessen was Dekolonisierung und Intersektionalität bedeuten, ermöglichte es, Allianzen zwischen unterschiedlichsten Studierenden zu bilden und auch jene Studierenden, wie die LSBTIQs zu integrieren, welche aufgrund ihrer mehrfachen Diskriminierung häufig ausgeschlossen bleiben. Im Protestverlauf erlebten jedoch LSBTIQs Studierende vermehrt Diskriminierung und Ausschluss. Geschlechterpositionen wurden zum Streitpunkt und stellten die Allianzen infrage. Was mit einer geteilten Forderung von Dekolonisierung und Intersektionalität begann und damit mit dem Streben nach einem herrschaftsfreien Raum, der Diskriminierung und Rassismus überwindet, endete in der Reproduktion von Ungleichheit und der Herausbildung von Machtpositionen. Allianzen brachen auf, trugen zur Zersplitterung der Studierendenbewegung bei und ließen Gegenproteste entstehen, welche die herrschaftskritischen Proteste in ihrer Reproduktion von Ungleichheit hinterfragten. Vor dem Hintergrund der Studierendenbewegung wird die Brüchigkeit von Allianzen deutlich ebenso wie Notwendigkeit, analytisch den Protestverlauf zu analysieren, denn erst dieser zeigt das Entstehen von Allianzen einerseits sowie von Macht- und Exklusionsdynamiken andererseits.

Although urbanization has contributed to improving living conditions, it has had negative impacts on the natural environment in urbanized areas. Urbanization has changed the urban landscape and resulted in increasing land surface temperature (LST). Thus, studies related to LST in various urban environments have become popular. However, there are few LST studies focusing on mountain landscapes (i.e., hill stations). Therefore, this study investigated the changes in the landscape and their impacts on LST intensity (LSTI) in the tropical mountain city of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. The study utilized annual median temperatures extracted from Landsat data collected from 1996 to 2017 based on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) interface. The fractions of built-up (BL), forested (FL) and agricultural (AL) land, were calculated using land use and cover maps based on urban–rural zone (URZ) analysis. The urban–rural margin was demarcated based on the fractions of BL (<10%), and LSTI that were measured using the mean LST difference in the urban–rural zone. Besides, the mixture of land-use types was calculated using the AL/FL and BL/FL fraction ratios, and grid-based density analysis. The results revealed that the BL in all URZs rapidly developed, while AL decreased during the period 1996 to 2017. There was a minimal change in the forest area of the Nuwara Eliya owing to the government’s forest preservation policies. The mean temperature of the study area increased by 2.1 °C from 1996 to 2017. The magnitude of mean LST between urban–rural zones also increased from 1.0 °C (1996) to 3.5 °C (2017). The results also showed that mean LST was positively correlated with the increase and decrease of the BL/FL and AL/FL fraction ratios, respectively. The grid-based analysis showed an increasing, positive relationship between mean LST and density of BL. This indicated that BL density had been a crucial element in increasing LST in the study area. The results of this study will be a useful indicator to introduce improved landscape and urban planning in the future to minimize the negative impact of LST on urban sustainability.

Objetivo: Analisar a emergência dos arbovírus e os fatores que contribuem para a disseminação e infecção, bem como possíveis estratégias terapêuticas que auxiliam na condução desses casos. Método: Tratou-se de uma revisão sistemática realizada na Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS); no Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) e no Scientifc Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO), por meio de pesquisas nacionais e internacionais no período de 2009 a 2019. Resultados: os fatores responsáveis pela disseminação e infecção são: ausência de vacinas aprovadas ou drogas antivirais específicas, presença de comorbidade, ação antrópica indiscriminada, desordenado crescimento populacional, falta de notificação e acompanhamento, demora no diagnóstico, escolaridade e a situação profissional. Como estratégias de intervenção: o Inibidor da quimiotripsina- tripsina (LsCTI), a necessidade dos médicos e outros profissionais de saúde estarem cientes que infecções por DENV-4 podem ser fatais, o acompanhamento sistemático da população, as ações educativas regulares, o combate ao vetor e o plano de cuidados adequados. Considerações finais: A emergência dos arbovírus interliga os vetores com a ausência de recursos apropriados para a sua prevenção e tratamento.

Bereits seit Jahrzehnten beschweren sich queere Aachener_innen darüber, dass ihnen die lebendigere Subkultur der 1980er und 1990er Jahre fehle. Die wenigen queeren Räume in der Innenstadt sind heute institutionalisiert und konzentrieren sich meist auf soziale Arbeit oder ehrenamtliches Engagement – distanziert von Elementen der Lust und sexueller Begegnung. In den vergangenen 50 Jahren lassen sich jedoch zahlreiche Beispiele für Raumproduktionen finden, die auf eine belebte Klappenkultur und eine Sexualisierung von Räumen hinweisen. In Parkanlagen, öffentlichen Toiletten auf Bahnhöfen oder in Hochschulgebäuden sowie über Dating-Apps haben Männer, die Sex mit anderen Männern suchten, trotz – oder gerade wegen des erzkatholischen Glaubens in der Stadt Aachen – immer wieder neue Cruising-Orte für sich kreieren können. Die Schaffung dieser Räume, die Verbreitung des Wissens über sie, ihre Nutzung – der gesamte Prozess um das cruising herum war in Aachen, ebenso wie in vielen anderen (Groß-)Städten, aufgrund gesetzlicher Regelungen und sozialer Normen jahrzehntelang versteckt, tabuisiert, schambehaftet und geächtet. Dieser Beitrag deckt diese (zumindest für die Mehrheitsgesellschaft) verborgene und unbekannte Welt der Aachener Klappen-Kultur auf. Der Artikel stützt sich auf Archivrecherchen und Interviews mit queeren Zeitzeugen verschiedener Generationen. Diese kombinierte Methodik bietet Einblicke in die Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und erwartete Zukunft von Aachens intimen Raumproduktionen. Ziel dieser Untersuchung ist es, queere sexuelle Lust in einer Stadt außerhalb des deutschen LSBTIQ+-Mainstreams zu kartieren, sichtbar zu machen und über seine Entwicklung innerhalb des vergangenen halben Jahrhunderts zu reflektieren.

Abstract. Since the “summer of migration” in 2015, LGBT organizations have been actively involved in migration work, particularly in creating safer spaces for queer asylum seekers and refugees. This involvement marks a shift as these organizations previously had limited engagement with queer people of color. German LGBT organizations focus on providing support, security, and community for queer asylum seekers and refugees, drawing upon the concept of safer spaces. While existing literature addresses LGBT organizations in development and the challenges faced by queer asylum seekers, there is limited research on the creation of safer spaces. Research suggests a predominant focus on spatial separation as a means of ensuring safety. This article aims to fill this research gap by exploring how German LGBT organizations are adapting and institutionalizing the concept of safer spaces. It investigates the role of spatial separation, control mechanisms, and potential essentialist and cultural biases in shaping safer spaces. The study contextualizes this within the framework of homonationalism in Germany, followed by a theoretical exploration of safer spaces and an empirical analysis of how LGBT organizations conceptualize them. Drawing on expert interviews with spokespersons of German LGBT organizations and an extensive analysis of their websites, my study shows the ways in which the LGBT organizations construct themselves as saviors of vulnerable queer asylum seekers and migrants, while constructing the non-queer asylum seekers and migrants as a threat through othering. Following the logics of these safer space concepts, spatial separation appears as the ultimate solution to offer safety to queer migrants and refugees. In contrast, I also observe alternative safer spaces offered by LGBT organizations, which, in addition to their purely protective function, also create spaces for caring practices and peer-to-peer empowerment through storytelling.

We describe a new species of the genus Achalinus Peters, 1869 from Daming Mountain, Shanglin County, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, based on a single adult male specimen. It can be distinguished from all the other species in Achalinus by a combination of the following morphological characters: (1) a bright yellow collar around the neck, extending forward to the ventral of the head; (2) tail length comparatively long, TaL/Tol ratio 0.25; (3) DSR 23-23-23, moderately keeled; (4) VS 3+162; (5) SC 74, unpaired; (6) cloacal plate entire; (7) SPL 6, the fourth and fifth in contact with the eye; (8) IFL 6, the first three touching the first pair of chin shields; (9) a single loreal; (10) length of suture between internasal significantly longer than that between prefrontal, LSBI/LSBP ratio 1.34; (11) two pairs of chin shields; (12) longitudinal vertebral line absent. In addition, the uncorrected p-distances between the new species and other known congeners ranged from 6.3% to 25.4% for the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (CO1). „gleich&gleich e.V.“ wurde vor fast 25 Jahren in Berlin gegründet, um eine eklatante Lücke im bundesdeutschen Jugendhilfeangebot zu schließen. Es gab bis dahin keine spezialisierten ambulanten oder stationären Hilfen für Minderjährige, die sich selbst als „non heteronormativ“ definierten. „gleich&gleich e.V.“ bietet diesem konkreten Personenkreis betreutes Wohnen und sozialpädagogische Begleitung. Der nachfolgende Beitrag berichtet von der Arbeit dieses Projekts.

Abstract:

Se presenta un artículo instrumental que busca adaptar una herramienta para evaluar los estilos de aprendizaje vinculados a la personalidad, en estudiantes de nivel medio y universitario. La evaluación integral de los estilos de aprendizaje incluye tres grupos de estilos: centrados en la personalidad, en el procesamiento de la información y en el ambiente. En el ámbito local solo se dispone de instrumentos para evaluar los dos últimos tipos de estilos. El Learning Styles Type Indicator (LSTI) es una escala breve que mide estilos de aprendizaje vinculados a la personalidad de los estudiantes (Extroversión-Introversión, Sensación-Intuición, Pensamiento-Sentimiento, Juicio-Percepción). El estudio consistió en la adaptación lingüística, conceptual y psicométrica para su uso en estudiantes de nivel medio y universitario de Argentina. Para ello, se tradujo el instrumento del inglés al español y se realizó un análisis de validez de contenido. Luego, se analizó su estructura interna mediante un análisis factorial exploratorio que conservó ocho reactivos agrupados en dos factores (Extroversión-Introversión y Sensación-Intuición). El modelo se verificó a partir del cálculo de un análisis factorial confirmatorio, al igual que su equivalencia métrica según género y nivel educativo. Así, se obtuvo una versión breve para evaluar dos estilos de aprendizaje asociados a la personalidad de estudiantes de nivel medio y universitario en el medio local.

Abstract:

A new species of xenodermid snake, Achalinus nanshanensis H. Li, L.-Q. Zhu, Z.-Q. Zhang & X.-Y. Mo, sp. nov., is described based on three specimens collected from Nanshan National Park and Tongdao County of southwest Hunan Province. This new species is genetically distinct amongst its congeners with the mitochondrial COI uncorrected p-distance ranging from 4.4% (in A. yangdatongi) to 17.7% (in A. meiguensis). In addition, this new species can be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following morphological characters: (1) dorsal scales with 23 or 25 rows throughout and strongly keeled; (2) tail relatively longer so that TaL/ToL = 0.215–0.248; (3) length of suture between internasals significantly longer than that between prefrontals, LSBI/LSBP = 1.66–1.84; (4) single loreal scale present; (5) SPL 6 in number, with the fourth and fifth contacting eye; (6) IFL 6 in number, with the first three touching the first pair of chin shields; (7) TMP is 2-2-4/2-2(3)-4, with the anterior pair elongated and in contact with the eye; (8) ventrals 2 + 147–158; (9) subcaudals 64–77, unpaired; (10) dorsal body brownish black, with a bright yellow neck collar extending to the head and abdomen in the occipital region. The recognition of the new species increases the number of described Achalinus species to 28, of which 21 are found in China.

The information need to be secured to prevent the others to get the information that send through the internet, steganography can be used to hide the information before sending it and the receiver can recover the hidden data. Digital steganography using computer can use a variety of digital file, digital image file is one of them. With the infomation being hidden inside the image-carrier, the others will not aware about the hidden information. Application created using C# programming leanguage and the steganoraphy method using Least Significant Bit Insertion (LSBI). Microsoft Visual Studio used as Integrated Development Environtment (IDE) to code and design the user interface. Software develpment model using Extreme Programming, and the testing using black box method. Application designed to hide text or image inside an image-carrier and the hidden text or image can be recovered. The result of this research are an application that can hide text or image into image-carrier, and the hidden text or image can be recovered. Based on the testing application can run as expected and fulfill all the requirements.

Abstract:

Among the most relevant themes of modernity, using renewable resources to produce biofuels attracts several countries’ attention, constituting a vital part of the global geopolitical chessboard since humanity’s energy needs will grow faster and faster. Fortunately, advances in personal computing associated with free and open-source software production facilitate this work of prospecting and understanding complex scenarios. Thus, for the development of this work, the keywords “biofuel” and “nanocatalyst” were delivered to the Scopus database, which returned 1071 scientific articles. The titles and abstracts of these papers were saved in Research Information Systems (RIS) format and submitted to automatic analysis via the Visualization of Similarities Method implemented in VOSviewer 1.6.18 software. Then, the data extracted from the VOSviewer were processed by software written in Python, which allowed the use of the network data generated by the Visualization of Similarities Method. Thus, it was possible to establish the relationships for the pair between the nodes of all clusters classified by Link Strength Between Items or Terms (LSBI) or by year. Indeed, other associations should arouse particular interest in the readers. However, here, the option was for a numerical criterion. However, all data are freely available, and stakeholders can infer other specific connections directly. Therefore, this innovative approach allowed inferring that the most recent pairs of terms associate the need to produce biofuels from microorganisms’ oils besides cerium oxide nanoparticles to improve the performance of fuel mixtures by reducing the emission of hydrocarbons (HC) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx).

Zusammenfassung Zielsetzung Lesbische, schwule, bisexuelle, trans, intergeschlechtliche und queere (LSBTIQ+) Personen erfahren auch heutzutage Diskriminierung und Benachteiligung in vielen Lebensbereichen – auch im Bereich der Gesundheitsversorgung. Studien weisen darauf hin, dass LSBTIQ+Personen einerseits hohe Raten an chronischen körperlichen und psychischen Erkrankungen zeigen, andererseits über negative Erfahrungen mit Behandler_Innen im Gesundheitssystem berichten. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, einerseits auf Barrieren und eine unzureichende gesundheitliche Versorgung von LSBTIQ+Personen hinzuweisen, andererseits aber auch, auf relevante Lücken in der medizinischen Ausbildung in Deutschland aufmerksam zu machen, woraufhin spezifische Aktionen folgen sollen. Methodik Zu diesen Zwecken werden sowohl wissenschaftliche Evidenz für die Benachteiligung von LSBTIQ+Personen im Gesundheitssystem als auch wichtige innovative Interventionen in der Ausbildung von medizinischem Personal vorgestellt und diskutiert. Ergebnisse Eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen – in Bezug auf Umfang, Format und Inhalten – Ausbildungsprogrammen sind bereits erprobt und etabliert, allerdings vor allem in englischsprachigen Regionen der Welt. In der medizinischen Ausbildung in Deutschland fehlen dagegen solche Programme. Schlussfolgerung Eine Sensibilisierung für und Erweiterung der Ausbildung von Medizinstudierenden um LSBTIQ+Gesundheitsthemen ist in Deutschland von großer Bedeutung.

Zur Verschränkung von kollektiver und personaler (Selbst‑)Bildung in der queeren Jugendarbeit“ wird erforscht, wie Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene in der queeren Gruppenarbeit zu lesbischen, schwulen, bisexuellen, trans*, inter*, asexuellen/aromantischen und queeren Jugendlichen (LSBT*IAQ) gebildet werden und sich selbst bilden. Das ethnographische Forschungsprojekt analysiert, wie durch diese Bildungsangebote eine Sozialität geschaffen wird, in der Jugendliche eine Identität ausbilden und einüben (können). Im Zentrum des Erkenntnisinteresses steht die Verschränkung von individuellen und kollektiven Bildungsprozessen.
