Abstract:
No Protágoras, há uma passagem intrigante. Depois de pedir a Protágoras para evitar longos discursos (334d), por supostamente ter curta memória, Sócrates responde ao sofista em um longo discurso sobre um poema de Simônides, do qual Protágoras citara duas sentenças. Desse modo, Sócrates se revela não só possuidor de excelente memória, uma vez que apresenta várias outras sequências do poema, como também um perito na interpretação de poesia. Nesse longo discurso, também, ele se refere à sofística na Lacedemônia como equivalente à filosofia (342b). Essa passagem, como se propõe, fornece algumas chaves de leitura para as relações entre sofística e poesia, por um lado, e entre poesia e filosofia, por outro. Pode-se observar aqui o uso da ironia não só por parte de Sócrates como também por parte de Platão.

Abstract:
No diálogo Sofista, Platão, por meio do Estrangeiro de Eleia, estabelece como procedi­mento essencial para a busca do conhecimento o Método de Divisões (diairesis). Devido às par­ticularidades do procedimento – multiplicidade de definições de um mesmo objeto –, há muitas críticas sobre a suficiência e validade do método. Algumas questões podem ficar em aberto como, por exemplo: por que tantas divisões? Uma divisão é mais importante, mais completa do que outra? As várias definições do sofista indicam uma errância do Estrangeiro? Do ponto de vista metodológico, em que elas se diferenciam? E, além disso, em que esse método se distingue do apresentado no Fedro, e em outros diálogos de maturidade? Ao longo do texto, apresentaremos algumas considerações em defesa da diairesis como método dialético e necessário para o bom desen­volvimento tanto do diálogo quanto da busca pelo conhecimento. Para isso, precisamos analisar as divisões e as definições apresentadas pelo próprio Platão, em busca de apresentar a diairesis como representante da dialética, e traçamos algumas considerações acerca da defesa deste método como um método válido e suficiente (dialeticamente).

Abstract:
Este texto propõe uma reflexão sobre as noções clássicas de sentido próprio e de sentido figurado, com base em princípios e conceitos apresentados por Ferdinand de Saussure, no Curso de linguística geral e nos Escritos de linguística geral, e por Oswald Ducrot, a propósito da postulação da tese de que a argumentação está na língua. Dentre os conceitos saussurianos mais importantes para as reflexões feitas ao longo deste texto, destacam-se os de arbitrário, de relação e de valor. Ganha o acento este último conceito da teoria de Saussure, visto que é baseado nele e na noção de alteridade apresentada por Platão, em O Sofista, que Ducrot rejeita a existência de um aspecto objetivo na linguagem e une os aspectos subjetivo e intersubjetivo ‒ constitutivos do sentido de enunciados ‒ no que chamou de valor argumentativo. Mantendo-se, portanto, fiel ao modo saussuriano de olhar para a linguagem, Ducrot construiu a Teoria da Argumentação na Língua ‒ « L'Argumentation Dans la Langue » ‒ e defende, até o momento atual da teoria, a hipótese que rejeita a distinção dos tradicionalmente chamados sentidos denotativo e conotativo.

<p class="PargrafoPUC">Como Foucault pretende resgatar a exterioridade do discurso e reabilitar um lugar para os sofistas na história do <em>lógos</em>? Ao longo texto, encaminhamos uma resposta a essa questão. Além disso, sugestões paralelas colaboram para uma compreensão mais ampla da linguagem, capaz de salientar aspectos micropolíticos, estratégicos e retóricos, preteridos por certa tradição de reflexão filosófica. Trabalhamos aqui com textos posteriores a <em>A</em> <em>Arqueologia do Saber</em>. Agregamos perspectivas diversas que reforcem o caráter linguístico do trabalho dos sofistas. Isso nos ajuda a perceber melhor o resgate do que Foucault chama de exterioridade do discurso, essa face na qual o que se diz, por sua força, ganha materialidade própria. Discuti-la parece-nos crucial para entender como emergem os traços da diferença na reflexão sobre o discurso, sobre os efeitos da materialidade nas interlocuções, levando-nos a uma reconsideração do lugar da polêmica, da disputa, enfim, de características preteridas em nome da refutação pela filosofia da linguagem tradicional.</p>

O escritor e jornalista paulista Raduan Nassar publica Lavoura arcaica em 1975, durante a ditadura militar. Esse romance, frequentemente descrito como uma versão da parábola bíblica do filho pródigo, põe em cena o universo de uma família organizada em torno da ordem paterna, de valores austeros baseados no trabalho e na disciplina. Longe dos estereótipos de uma suposta “literatura engajada”, Lavoura arcaica trata do questionamento tanto das relações de força quanto de uma ordem imposta, que pode ser desmascarada graças ao estudo das técnicas retóricas utilizadas pelas personagens. Com efeito, se o leitor implicar-se em identificar as estratégias de manipulação através da arte oratória, ele conseguirá evitar as eventuais armadilhas que elas podem criar, seja nesse romance ou em outros textos e discursos. Tal incitação à reflexão própria e à insubmissão a uma ordem arbitrária permanece atual, trinta anos após a primeira edição de Lavoura arcaica.

Em 1913, Jacques Zeiller se perguntava “se os livros de Mme. De Ségur são feitos para desenvolver nas crianças um sentido exato da vida social atual. ” Após mais de um século das palavras deste estudioso da obra da condessa, alguns de seus livros ainda sobrevivem, inclusive fora da França. No Brasil as primeiras traduções de seu primeiro grande sucesso, Les malheurs de Sophie, existem desde fins do século XIX e são portuguesas. A primeira edição brasileira dos “Desastres de Sofia” é da Editora do Brasil na década de 1950, mas talvez a mais conhecida, ou reconhecida, seja a tradução e adaptação do escritor Herberto Sales –Sofia, a desastrada-, na década de 70, pela Edições de Ouro. Por meio de comparações entre essas três edições poderemos perceber, em parte, como a obra da “condessa” sobreviveu ao longo do século XX em suas traduções brasileiras.

Abstract:
La novela griega antigua no estuvo desligada de las tendencias literarias de su época, como la Segunda Sofística, con una constante tendencia hacía la innovación. Los sofistas frecuentemente declaraban la “novedad” de su obra, lo mismo que la novela, la cual, por ser una narrativa de ficción, buscaba entretener al lector incluyendo en su trama hechos de carácter maravilloso o increíble. Al analizar las novelas griegas, podemos observar cómo cada uno de los autores intentaban sobresalir mediante una serie de sucesos extraordinarios que incluye en su obra. En este artículo consideraré las novelas de Longo, Jenofonte de Éfeso y Caritón, que narran acontecimientos o situaciones extraordinarios en el desarrollo de la trama, buscando atraer la atención de su público. Mediante el análisis de un vocabulario específico, relacionado con lo maravilloso (parádoxon), sorprendente (kainón) o increíble (ápiston), encontraremos que Caritón, quien es el autor que menos acontecimientos extraordinarios ofrece, califica ciertos hechos como tales.

Embora o Teeteto nos coloque num cenário interpretativo completamente à parte da teoria das Formas, não nos é permitido admitir seu total esquecimento. Conceitos como ‘racionalidade’ contraposto à percepção sensível, e a ‘imprescindibilidade do logos’ enquanto discurso que perfaz o conhecimento verdadeiro, são extremamente caros ao Teeteto. Desconsiderar a pertinência e a similaridade do significado destes conceitos desde a maturidade até à velhice, colocar-nos-ia em situação de grande dificuldade explicativa acerca do conhecimento. Assim, é importante destacar que optamos por uma perspectiva intermediária, que por um lado reconhece a ausência de uma argumentação calcada na clássica teoria das Ideias, mas que compreende a obra platônica sob a tutela de uma interpretação sistemática e holística, segundo a qual Platão não abandona os pressupostos metafísicos das Formas inteligíveis. Longe de uma ruptura com o que foi dito anteriormente na maturidade, o Teeteto serve como complementação teórica acerca da ontologia e da epistemologia, embora no Teeteto não haja uma menção direta às noções presentes nos diálogos anteriores e boa parte do tema se apresente por meio de estilo de escrita e vocabulário inusitados. Por fim, mas não menos importante, será feita uma breve análise de alguns trechos dos momentos finais do Sofista com o objetivo de compreender em que medida o aspecto epistemológico, proposto por Platão no Teeteto, pode ser lido à luz de questões relacionadas ao Ser e ao Não-ser, já que a pergunta pelo ‘o que é conhecimento’ nos remete também a uma discussão ontológica.

Os museus de ciências vêm estruturando suas ações educativas para os diferentes públicos, garantindo a acessibilidade a todo e qualquer cidadão. O Museu de Microbiologia, pensando no público infantil, elaborou a atividade “A descoberta de Sofia ao mundo invisível dos micróbios”, para crianças de até 6 anos, oferecida na programação de férias do Instituto Butantan em julho/2015. O objetivo da proposta foi investigar, ao longo da atividade, a compreensão das crianças sobre os microrganismos e sua relação com seu cotidiano, por meio de diferentes estratégias como contação de história, roda de conversa e desenho. A observação durante toda a atividade, a interação durante a contação e a análise das falas e dos desenhos, com as devidas explicações pelos pequenos, evidenciaram que as crianças conseguiram relacionar o conteúdo abordado com suas vivências, transpondo seus conhecimentos prévios e suas interpretações, sugerindo que houve um processo de aprendizagem.

Em 22 de junho de 2013, era acrescentado mais um episódio à história secular da Universidade de Coimbra (UC): a inscrição do bem Universidade de Coimbra – Alta e Sofia na Lista do Património Mundial da UNESCO. O propósito deste artigo constitui-se em aprofundar alguns princípios que delinearam o processo da UC a Património Mundial, tendo em conta o contributo e influência de alguns dos seus protagonistas político-conceptuais, teóricos e decisores. Para tal, terá contribuído o pensamento e o trabalho desenvolvido por dois gabinetes, constituídos como Projetos Especiais da Reitoria, em março e em outubro de 2004, o Gabinete Paço das Escolas e o Gabinete de Candidatura à UNESCO, para desenvolver o processo de candidatura. Recorrendo, sobretudo a pesquisa e revisão documental e bibliográfica, este trabalho articula os testemunhos desses protagonistas, pelo papel fundamental que tiveram ao longo do processo, sob várias perspetivas.

Abstract:
This doctoral thesis aims to provide the reader with a geographical analysis of Longus’ depiction of the island of Lesbos. In the first chapter, I sketch in broad outline the birth and growth of geographers’ concern about literary texts and literary descriptions of landscapes and places. However, note that such a concern seems, so far, to have overlooked Greek and Roman literature: geographers have investigated exclusively modern and contemporary literary texts. In the second chapter, after briefly introducing to ancient Greek novel, its authors, its audience and its features, I focus specifically on Longus and his Pastoralia. The third chapter examines some scholars’ hypotheses about the possible topographical realism in the novelist’s portrayal of Lesbos. Finally, the fourth chapter analyses the lesbian landscape of the novel in order to reach a conclusion concerning Longus’ Lesbos. I will try to answer a fundamental question: does Longus describe the real Lesbos in his novel or does he create a fictional island without any relationship with the real world?

La seguente tesi si prefigge di ricostruire la fortuna dei topoi romanzeschi di matrice alessandrina in alcune opere della narrativa italiana comprese nell’arco di tempo che va da Boccaccio e Tasso, con particolare attenzione all’epoca rinascimentale. L’indagine si concentra sulla fortuna di motivi e di espedienti narrativi presenti all’interno di quel corpus testuale che costituisce il ‘canone’ del romanzo alessandrino, ovvero: Le avventure di Cherea e Calliroe di Caritone di Afrodisia, Anzia e Abrocome di Senofonte Efesio, Leucippe e Clitofonte di Achille Tazio, Dafni e Cloe di Longo Sofista e Le Etiopiche di Eliodoro. Tali opere iniziano ad essere tradotte e pubblicate a partire dalla metà del Cinquecento, incontrando un immediato successo editoriale; tuttavia, la tesi mira a mettere in luce come si avverta un’eco di tali narrazioni in opere assai precedenti alle stampe cinquecentesche.

This book consists of analyses of thirty-three musical passages or entire short works in a variety of post-tonal styles. The works under study are taken from throughout the long twentieth century, from 1909 to the present. Within the atonal wing of modern classical music, the composers discussed here, some canonical and some not, represent a diversity of musical style, chronology, geography, gender, and race/ethnicity: Arnold Schoenberg, Anton Webern, Alban Berg, Béla Bartók, Igor Stravinsky, Aaron Copland, Ruth Crawford Seeger, Milton Babbitt, Luigi Dallapiccola, Elliott Carter, Louise Talma, Hale Smith, Elisabeth Lutyens, Ursula Mamlok, Tania León, Tan Dun, Shulamit Ran, Kaija Saariaho, Joan Tower, John Adams, Sofia Gubaidulina, Thomas Adès, Caroline Shaw, Chen Yi, and Suzanne Farrin. The approach is pedagogical, in the somewhat informal style of a classroom. Musical examples and analytical videos carry the burden of the analytical argument, with relatively little prose. For each piece, the book suggests ways of making sense of the music, using basic concepts of post-tonal theory to tease out rich networks of musical relationships and reveal something of the fascination and beauty of this challenging music.

Abstract:
Whether it is climate fluctuations or lasting one-way changes, it is clear that the climate today is not the same as it was a few decades ago. The question is no longer whether the change of climate exists, but in what way and to what extent it affects nature, man and his activity, how to mitigate it, and how to adapt to it. For this purpose, however, it is necessary to accurately determine the magnitude and direction of change of individual climatic elements and phenomena, given their diverse manifestations at the local level. This is especially true in urban areas, where a large part of the population is concentrated. Here climate change is becoming even more tangible as a result of the highly transformed underlying surface and air pollution. This is why many research on climate change is focusing on big cities. The aim of the present study is to establish the long-term trends of change of basic climatic parameters in the largest city in Bulgaria - the capital Sofia. For this purpose, based on the historical climatic period 1967 - 2019, the algorithms of changing the following climatic elements are determined: air temperature, precipitation, wind speed, number of days with rainfall, with snowfall, with storms, with hail and with fog. Based on the determined algorithms, the values of these climatic elements are projected to future time horizons, in 10 years, until 2100. The results are of interest not only from a purely scientific point of view, but also for all economic sectors experiencing the impact of changing the climate.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The technique of gymnastics elements is an important factor for the development in gymnastics. Parallel bars is one of the six apparatuses in men’s artistic gymnastics all-around. Each gymnastic combination should include elements from four structural groups, which are: Elements in support or through support on 2 bars, elements starting in upper arm position, long swings in hang on 1 or 2 bars, and underwings and dismounts. Gymnasts strive to increase the difficulty of the per-formed combination over time by including elements with higher difficulty in the 10 (8 for juniors) elements included in the difficulty score. Due to its complexity and the specificity of the starting position, the elements from second structural group on parallel bars appear to be a crucial factor in the formation of difficulty score in the competitive exercises. A new element in group two is backward uprise and 5/4 salto fwd straddled to hang on parallel bars. The purpose of this study was to explain the mechanics of the Backward uprise and 5/4 salto fwd straddled to hang on Parallel Bars, and to identify how the release conditions were created. 2D video-based data was used to analyze the new element recorded at NSA Sofia. APAS was used for digitizing and DLT techniques were used (APAS-Edition 2020, version 14.3.7). The space was calibrated with 8 points with previously known coordinates, and the movement digitized with 7 points of the main joints and the head. Hip action was characterized by a double large input which peaked close to the horizontal on the downswing and after the down vertical due to the active swing action, followed by a smaller positive arms power contribution as the release was approached. Because of swing action, the ankles velocity peaked close after the down vertical. The dominant role of positive hip extension, swing and arms pushing action was highlighted as a major factor contributing to the creation of the final body orientation and desirable release conditions.

ABSTRACT The interdisciplinary approach encourages students to put into practice the new knowledge and skills they have acquired in the course of their education in different school subjects. It helps them develop abilities to find content and functional connections between processes and phenomena studied in different school disciplines. The present study aimed to establish the effect of the interdisciplinary methodology applied in the subject of Physical Education and Sport on the development of motor skills of boys in the second grade at primary school. The object of the study was the level of improvement of the motor skills of school boys in the second grade. The experimental group included 8 boys from the Primary School “Otez Paisii” in the town of Knezha, Bulgaria, where the new interdisciplinary methodology was implemented. The control group using the traditional education methods included 14 boys from the 120 Primary School “G.S. Rakovski” in Sofia, Bulgaria. The experimental methodology was applied for a period of two school years. The students were tested twice in this period; the first was in September 2020, and the second was in May 2022. The interdisciplinary methodology was specially developed to involve several school subjects – Physical Education and Sport, Bulgarian Language and Literature, Mathematics, English Language, Man and Society, and Man and Nature. The compulsory course program in Physical Education and Sport contains adapted educational content from the other school subjects, grounded on meaningful connections with them. The following tests were used to evaluate the students’ motor skills: 30-meter run, standing long jump (with a two-footed take-off), throwing a solid ball - 1 kg, 200-meter shuttle run, Т-test, sit-ups, depth of bending, and frequency of knocking. After processing the acquired test results, it was established that the methodology used for interdisciplinary education in Physical Education and Sport was very efficient in developing the motor skills of ten-year-old boys.

The rapid advancement of ICTs has outstripped the theoretical rationalization, regulatory framework, business models, professional practices and audiences’ participation in contemporary democratic processes (Kaid L., Mazoleni G., Blumler JG, Esser F.). This new ‘mosaic culture’ is characterized by demassification of media and of society itself. A virtual online culture has been created which, due to its interactive nature, acts as integrating while having an alienating and restrictive impact on people, destroying ‘live’ communication. Nevertheless, media still stays among the main factors of the deliberative democracy, which should ensure fair and reasonable debate among citizens. Compared to traditional media, internet platforms and especially social networks are becoming increasingly popular channels for politicians to communicate with the electorate. The aim of the study undertaken by an academic team of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication at the St. Kliment Ohridsky Sofia University of Bulgaria and supported by the National Scientific Fund (research project KP-06-M35/4-18.12.2019) focuses on the deficits of media literacy in pre-election online communication. The object is the dynamics of the online campaign for the three parliamentary elections in Bulgaria in 2021: one regular (April 4) and two preliminary (July 11 and November 14). They have been held under the shadow of social distance and strict observance of the anti-epidemic measures against COVID-19 and in conditions of political confrontation, hostile public speech, and neglected professional standards. The subject is related to the Facebook messages in the profiles of the political leaders within the one-month period of the three campaigns. The methodology is an empirical study and comparative analysis. The scope of the survey includes those political forces that have passed the 4% electoral threshold. The main research question of the study is how Facebook messages affect voter choiceThe results showed that during all the three election campaigns, Bulgarians preferred to be informed first by television, then by online platforms and most of all - by Facebook. However, the number of posts, the frequency of Facebook use, and the funds invested did not turn out to be directly proportional to the success achieved by the politicians. Relying on populism in various dimensions was a more profitable strategy. Thus, for some of the new political formations, aggressive rhetoric was winning. Online communication replaced politicians' live contact with the public, but numerous likes, comments and shares expanded the audience's reach. In the long run few of the Facebook profiles of political leaders who were elected MPs clearly presented their intentions in such a way that voters could have the opportunity to make informed choices. The results are indicative of the extent to which insufficient information, media and digital literacy as part of the civic education of electoral actors - regulators, politicians, media, analysts and audiences - affect informed voter choice. For successful participation of citizens in public debates on protecting, sustaining and developing of civic rights and democracy, a serious awareness of the risks and opportunities of the deliberative communication process needs to be studied.

The article investigates the immortality of books, collections, including those, translated into foreign languages, composed of the publications of publications of worldview journalism. It deals with top analytics on simulated training of journalists, the study of events and phenomena at the macro level, which enables the qualitative forecast of world development trends in the appropriate contexts for a long time. Key words: top, analytics, book, worldview journalism, culture, arguments, forecast.The article is characterized intellectual-spiritual, moral-aesthetic and information-educational values of of scientific and journalistic works of Professor Mykola Hryhorchuk “Where are you going, Ukraine?” and “Freedom at the Barricades”. Mykola Ivanovych’s creative informational and educational communication are reviews, reviews, reviews and current works of writers, poets, publicists. Such as Maria Matios, Vira Vovk, Roman Ivanychuk, Dmytro Pavlychko, Yuriy Shcherban, Bohdan Korsak, Hryhoriy Huseynov, Vasyl Ruban, Yaroslav Melnyk, Sofia Andrukhovych. His journalistic reflections are about memorable events of the recent past for Ukrainians and historical figures are connected with them. It is emphasized that in his books Mykola Hryhorchuk convincingly illuminates the way to develop a stable Ukrainian immunity, national identity, development and strengthening of the conciliar independent state in the fight against the eternal Moscow enemy. Among the defining ideological and political realization of the National Idea of Ukrainian statehood, which are mentioned in the scientific and journalistic works of M. Hryhorchuk, the fundamental ones – linguistic and religious – are singled out. Israel and Poland are a clear example for Ukrainians. In these states, language and religion were absolutized and it is thanks to this understanding of the essence of state-building and national identity that it is contrary to many difficulties achieve the desired life-affirming goal. The author emphasizes that any information in the broadest and narrow sense can be perceived without testing for compliance with the moral and spiritual mission of man, the fundamental values of the Ukrainian ethnic group, putting moral and spiritual values in the basis of state building. The outstanding Ukrainian philosopher Hryhoriy Skovoroda emphasized: “Faith is the light that sees in the darkness…” Books by physicist Mykola Hryhorchuk “Where are you going, Ukraine?” and “Freedom at the Barricades” are illuminated by faith in the Victory over the bloody centuries-old Moscow darkness.
