Abstract:
Nowadays, companies offer various logistics services to their customers. Diversity of these services is essential for business. The range of services that logistics companies cover depends on various factors; it can be solely transport, but can also be a complex service that includes organisation of raw materials delivery, warehousing, delivery of finished goods to customers and dealing with documents like invoices, waybills and others. The increasing popularity of logistics in services is noticeable. This is connected with global changes. This is a complex phenomenon that connects aspects and features of services and logistics. The three most important areas for logistics in services are: minimisation of waiting time, management of service potential and service delivery. The goal of this article is to reveal the difference between these two subjects and review the literature connected with them. The main conclusions are that logistics services can be seen as belonging to logistics in the services phenomenon. In every area of logistics in services, three phases can be distinguished: supply, production and sales. Germany has the leading position in Europe when it comes to the logistics services market. Dynamic changes in logistics have led to the development of a new classification of logistics enterprises. The European Commission is analysing changes in the sector in order to prepare new strategic objectives.

Abstract:
Due to the rapidly changing global markets and the impact of digitalization, businesses must continually seek new opportunities to enhance their competitiveness, including the logistics principles application. While logistics alone may not grant substantial competitive advantages, its strategic alignment with key competencies, continuous improvement, and the application of logistics engineering principles can significantly enhance an enterprise's competitive standing. The article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of logistic engineering and its potential to revolutionize enterprise competitiveness management. The primary hypothesis of this research postulates the conception of logistic governance as the creation of an institutional environment that imparts logistic principles and philosophy to all participants. In doing so, it ensures the selection and generation of superior logistic practices among those available in the market. Choosing these best practices and integrating them with dynamic capabilities promotes competitive growth within an enterprise. The selection of best practices is adjusted within the logistics governance framework, which is proposed to be considered a new theoretical concept. Providing additional hypotheses in connection with management's focus has aided in developing a high-level model for logistical engineering. This model highlights two critical processes: an operation process activated by an event timer and the subsequent logistical engineering process. The result of this sequence is the creation of institutional rules for the logistics system, thus establishing an overarching framework. This enhances the system's efficiency and adaptability amidst varied business situations. Keywords: logistics engineering, integrated supply chains, competitiveness management, logistics governance

Abstract:
The Republic of Slovenia has been and will become increasingly involved in in- ternational processes. This also demands continuous adjustments of the Slovenian Armed Forces. In line with NATO projections, future operations will become even more complex and multidimensional, and will therefore require the SlovenianArmed Forces to attain a higher level of interoperability also in logistics. In the future, the logistics of the Slovenian Armed Forces will strengthen its relations with economic and NATO logistics. Logistic efficiency is influenced by the regulation in terms of its development. The regulation must reflect special characteristics of the Slovenian Armed Forces and their logistics. Owing to the development of society, influence of the global international environment and other factors, operational requirements will be subject to rapid changes in the future. This will require quick response also in the drafting of the regulations applicable to the efficiency of the Slovenian Armed Forces’ logistics. Logistics in the Slovenian Armed Forces is governed by a number of different rules ranging from laws to edicts, upholding the legality of the forces. When drafting new regulations, all circumstances, which demand their adoption, need to be taken into account. Extra focus must be put on the procedure according to which they are drafted. The efficiency of the Slovenian Armed Forces’ logistics thus relies on the regulations, which are linked to the science of logistics and juri- sprudence. In this way, the importance of regulation will increase in the future, with the operations of the Slovenian Armed Forces' logistics becoming more complex and international.

Abstract:
The goal of the article is to analyze forecasts and actual development of Russian logistics on the basis of concrete example, figures, quotations and references to research. Today Russian logistics is passing the stage of active development, however, there are a lot of challenges and problems that should be overcome. A key trend in Russian logistics development is digitalization and introduction of new technologies. According to the research conducted by the Committee on Logistics Development, in 2020 about 78% of logistical market participants in Russia supported introduction of digital innovation in their work. It can cut costs of transportation, raise process efficiency and improve the quality of customer service. However, Russian logistics has not reached its full potential in this field. Key problems are poor introduction of advanced information technologies and undeveloped digital infrastructure. According to the research published by the journal ‘Logistics and Managing Supply Chains’ in 2021 only 25% of logistic companies in Russia use systems of managing storehouses and transport on the basis of artificial transportation, which allows companies to cut delivery period and provide more efficient use of transport infrastructure. According to Rosgosstrakh research in 2020, the volume of multimodal transportation in Russia grew by 15% in comparison with the previous year. However, the Federal Agency on Air Service reports that the development of infrastructure for multimodal transportation is not sufficient. A lot of Russian regions face the absence of connections between various types of transport, which can cause delays and higher delivery cost. We should also point out that Russian logistics still encounters problems with logistical costs. According to the research of ‘The International Journal of Economics and Management’ in 2020 Russia takes the 92nd place by the index of logistical costs among 160 countries. The key reasons for high costs are inefficient use of resources and weak coordination among participants of the logistic chain. The development of Russian logistics supposes introduction of digital technologies, rise in the share of multimodal transportation and cutting logistic costs. Along with this it is necessary to overcome a number of problems, such as low level of digital infrastructure and weal coordination in the logistic chain. It will require joint efforts on the part of government, business and education institutions.

Abstract:
The paper describes the terms Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0 as two of the most important trends in production and logistics. Industrie 4.0 (Industry 4.0) is a German term and a synonym for the fourth industrial revolution. It is connected with the common trend of digitalization, virtualization and networking of data and information. The term Logistics 4.0 brands the specific application of Industry 4.0 in the area of logistics. Therefore a new research approach was developed the “Smart Logistics Zone” (SLZ) by Fraunhofer IFF and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. This is defined as a scalable examination and action area for the analysis, evaluation, planning, control, regulation and (re-) configuration of logistics solutions [1]. The Smart Logistics Zone differs into logistics objects, logistics processes, logistical systems and logistics infrastructure. Every logistics solution should be built by using all of these four aspects in a free combination by increasing dynamics and complexity. Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0 create new business processes. The question is, how will they change the traditional logistics concepts and strategies? The paper answers the following research questions: What are solutions of Logistics 4.0? Are there any successful realized solutions, which optimize logistics at a whole? Which requirements on logistics management will exist according to the criteria of Industry 4.0/Logistics 4.0? Are the classic logistics strategies still valid according to the digital transformation process?

Abstract:
Military logistics as a specific area of logistics management makes the difference between a well-supplied and self-sustainable army which due to an efficiently created supply chain, can perform it’s military actions more efficiently, and an army that, due to insufficient commitment to military logistics activities creates an inefficient army that is cut off from food, water, and other basic resources without which the army can’t function. The specifics of military logistics make this area of logistics management special, formally separated, but essentially very close to the field of business logistics. The aim of this paper is to point out the features that distinguish military logistics management from business logistics management, but also to point out the complexities and limitations that military logistics bring with it. The key determinants of the difference will be presented through the organization of the logistics supply chain, the subjects, participants and goals it involves, but also the risk, the corresponding law, logistics process management approach, innovations, organization systems, and the basic methods of transportation that military logistics brings with it. The given specifics need to be analyzed and compared with the key features of business logistics, where through the examples from practice will be pointed out the points of contact, but also the key differences between these two areas of logistics.

Annotation. Introduction. The article examines the services of logistic outsourcing from the point of view of Ukrainian manufacturing companies, analyzes the results of the survey, compares them with global trends. It was determined that Ukrainian companies use logistic outsourcing less often than companies in other regions of the world. Also, the most often outsourced fields were identified. Purpose. Analysis of logistics outsourcing services from the viewpoint of Ukrainian manufacturing companies and comparison of survey results based on the survey with global trends. Results. It was found that from the list of enterprise groups classification (micro, small, medium, large) all categories use the services of freight forwarding companies. The following types of logistic processes are most often outsourced: transportation, lease and maintenance of equipment, warehousing, logistic chain optimization. It was found that among other countries in the study of third-party logistics, Ukraine occupies the lowest position in the usage of outsourcing services in logistics. The reasons for outsourcing logistic processes in logistics are significant: lack of own resources and capacity, cost reduction. The relationship between causes and logistic processes has shown that in order to reduce logistic costs in the enterprise it is necessary to outsource transportation. Conclusions. Statistical research has shown a small relationship between the areas of logistic outsourcing and the main causes of outsourcing of logistic activities. Therefore, it is not appropriate to say that some logistical measures should be outsourced and others should not. The mixed system, which combines the usage of own and third-party production facilities, is the most suitable for most Ukrainian manufacturing companies Keywords: logistics, outsourcing, third-party logistics, transport, warehousing, supply chain management, optimization, respondent, survey.

Abstract:
The Indian logistics industry is in a period of rapid development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the punctuality of trucks for logistics distribution services in India based on data analysis. The data comes from 6880 pieces of data from the VTS data platform. A binary regression model was established for data analysis, and the model was tested to ensure statistical significance. Binary logistic regression was used to examine truck types, geographic locations, commodity types, order types, and suppliers for logistics services to examine significant differences between on-time and late. Binary logistic regression concluded that the shorter the distance, the signing of the perfect contract, and the selection of a specific type of vehicle, the better development of the logistics level is easier to be on time. This study provides suggestions for improving management strategies, which can be used as a reference for the development of logistics companies.

Abstract:
The Focused logistics has been developed in order to respond to the asymmetric, uncertain and variable environments characteristics for the actual military scenes. Military scenes have many similarities with the scenes generated in natural disasters events. The aim of the work is to show, from the conceptual perspective, how focused logistics principles can be applied to the logistics operations in natural disasters relief. First an analysis and comparison between military and humanitarian operations was developed. This allowed us to establish which concepts of the focused logistics can be applied to humanitarian logistics problems. Second a comparison between the basic structures of the military logistic system operations and humanitarian logistics systems operations was used to identify potential quantitative models that can be transfer between the systems. Because of the similarity between the operations in military and humanitarian logistics systems, we concluded that focused logistics concepts can be applied in both. So, functional and emerging concepts, besides the principal goals and basic capabilities can be applied successfully. The new knowledge developed in this work is the use of focused logistics concepts as tool to improve response times and efficiency in humanitarian disaster relief.

Abstract:
This article examines the history and international experience of creating and functioning of transport and logistics infrastructure facilities − transport and logistics centers in Europe, the USA, and Asian countries, and identifies specific features and directions of further development. The concept of «transport and logistics center» is characterized, which takes into account the peculiarities of its structure, management, and functioning formed by the European Association of Transport and Logistics Centers. For the first time the ideology of creating a large logistics complex dates back to 1960, when in France (near Paris) at the initiative of the state in cooperation with local authorities andprivate companies were established two specialized logistics centers«Garonor» and «Sogaris». In accordance with the objectives of the functioning of transport and logistics centers, the main components of the class of transport and logistics centers are determined by their presence or absence. This article presents the classification of transport and logistics centers for the following features: integration of main modes of transport; capacity of vantage processing, space, occupied territory and the complexity of the transport and logistics services provided by the cluster; scale and administrative level of the area, which is served by the nature of specialization of terminals in the transport and logistics center and the degree of integration with enterprises and industries, trade, etc.Regardless of the diversity of types of transport and logistics centers, shows the main ge-neral features of all transport and logistics centers, as a complex system, which includes several subsystems, integrated links, due to which it is able to perform logistical functions. Since existing scientific research is not enough to improve the state of methodological support of the process of creating transport-logistic infrastructure relevance of conducting research into the creation of the methodological basis of support of the processes of creation and functio-ning of transport-logistic centers. Keywords: transport and logistics center, transport potential, transport and logistics infra-structure.

Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to substantiate logistics outsourcing as an effective mechanism for improving the efficiency of the enterprise. The authors summarize the arguments and counterarguments in the scientific discussion on logistics outsourcing as one of the best methods of optimizing resources in the activity of enterprises, one of the important factors of modern business. Systematization of the results of the research of scientific sources made it possible to identify the problems of outsourcing use in various spheres of activity of economic entities. Systematization of studies of aspects of enterprise management based on logistic approaches has allowed formulating the statement that special value all over the world in logistics is devoted to outsourcing. For many years there is a tendency in this area to transfer a part or all of the logistics functions to specialized companies and outsourcing of logistics services is used by the vast majority of enterprises. Because, as higher the level of consumption in the country, there is more need to involve in the supply chain the goods of qualified logistics operators and transfer part of their operations to logistics outsourcing. The authors estimate the logistic outsourcing of the enterprise of PE “VEGA LTD” for the method of Yu. Zhelinskiy, which combines the change of income and expenses of the enterprise. Based on the calculations, it is proved that outsourcing for PE “VEGA LTD” is profitable. Therefore, it is advisable to use outsourced services not only for transport logistics but also for other logistic activities of the enterprise. In the process of investigating the problems of logistics outsourcing and its impact on the efficiency of foreign economic activity of the company, the authors proved that outsourcing in logistics is one of the most modern business models. The use of this approach makes it possible to achieve significant competitive advantages in the activity of the enterprise. The main motives that drive outsourcing of logistics functions are the desire to make the business manageable, reduce transaction costs while obtaining quality service and profit. The results of the study are of practical importance and may be useful to scholars interested in the study of logistical outsourcing, as well as to the enterprises where outsourcing is most commonly used.

Abstract:
The intermodal freight transportation is being discussed for decades as an alternative to the unimodal automobile transportation. However, it is still not a significant part of the total market of the freight transportation. A new and promising possibility for improvement the efficiency of the freight transportation systems is the synchromodal design of the transportation systems on the inside. A cornerstone for the synchromodality is the integrated view in the design and functioning of the intramodal transportation. With the synchromodal transportation we have a flexible and dynamic way of choosing the best transportation. Synchromodality can lead to a modal transition to a slower but more ecological ways of transport without compromising the cost or the quality. A prerequisite for synchromodal transportation is the ability to freely choose which transportation method to use and easily to switch from one method to another.

Abstract:
Logistics cost management is associated with certain specific challenges, since increasing the quality of logistics services for customers often comes with increased logistics costs. In addition, reducing the costs of one logistic component causes an increase in the costs of another logistic component, which results in higher total logistics costs. Various cost models have been developed to support the optimisation of logistics activities, which represent the main focus of research and a key practical tool for logistics management. The purpose of the study is therefore to determine whether current scientific studies are addressing the issues related to logistics cost management. The aim of the study is to determine the scope of the optimisation of individual logistics models from the point of view of how individual logistics costs categories and processes are treated. The analysis of logistics costs management issues provides an important empirical foundation for the improvement of logistic processes in supply chains and synthesises scientific literature in the field of logistics cost modelling, which represents an important framework for future empirical studies.
