Speak Percussion, soprano Jessica Aszodi, and a crowd of 25, gave an intense performance, and world premiere, of Liza Lim's hour-long Atlas of the Sky. Lim's work was inspired by three poems: ‘The Stars’ by Eliot Weinberger, and ‘Whetting’ and ‘The Answer’ by contemporary Chinese poet Bei Dao. Imagery on stage was derived from the poetry, and the work touched on themes of community, ritual, and crowds.

As the first Doctoral Composer-in-Residence of the Royal Opera House and Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Philip Venables has – some might say bravely – chosen to adapt 4.48 Psychosis, the last play by the late British playwright Sarah Kane. Brave for several reasons. Kane's work is renowned for its naked, sometimes brutal, expression and themes, and the nihilism and violence of her plays have caused critical uproar in the past. Moreover, her estate has until now been understandably protective of her legacy; Venables's opera, premiered in May, is the first adaptation they have permitted, and came with instructions to remain as true as possible to the text.

Abstract:
Abstract Through a survey of crosslinguistic empirical studies on narratives and in the domain of motion events, we argue that the principles of language use pose a hurdle for second language acquisition, an issue that has not been given adequate attention in earlier research. These principles are part of our pragmatic knowledge which encompasses language-specific information organization at the discourse level as well as event schemata at the level of construing reportable units. The findings show how highly competent L2 speakers activate L1-based knowledge that reflects deeply entrenched principles and seems resistant to change.

Martín Adán es, al lado de César Vallejo, uno de nuestros poetas fundamentales. Su obra, a pesar de la importancia que posee, no ha sido suficientemente estudiada. Por ejemplo, con respecto a los símbolos que alberga su poética, solo han sido elucidados los de la rosa y la piedra; pero no la única figura que ha permanecido en toda su producción: el ángel. Esta, si bien es cierto que no se ha desplegado como central en alguno de sus poemarios, como la rosa en Sonetos a la rosa o en Travesía de extramares (Sonetos a Chopin); y la piedra en La mano desasida. Canto a Machu Picchu o La piedra absoluta, no ha dejado de estar presente en ningún momento de su poesía, como sí lo han hecho los símbolos mencionados: cuando aparece la rosa, no asoma la piedra; cuando asoma la piedra, no aparece la rosa.

El ser humano tiene un fuerte vínculo con los animales, es como tener un trozo de naturaleza cerca, son seres vivos que te devuelven la interacción, dan cariño, no juzgan, no cuestionan, no discriminan. La convivencia con los animales supone un aumento de los sentimientos positivos, fomenta valores como la responsabilidad y fidelidad, aporta calidez, cariño y amor incondicional, mejora nuestra vida social, refuerza la autoestima, mejora nuestra forma física. Estudios han determinado que tener una mascota y acariciarla frecuentemente ayuda a reducir los sentimientos de estrés, ansiedad y depresión, tener una mascota es determinante en el estado de ánimo. Hoy en día las personas y familias desarrollan de manera incremental el afecto y el cuidado por sus mascotas haciéndolas parte de la familia y teniendo mayor conciencia sobre su bienestar y cuidados de salud, destinando como parte del gasto familiar un porcentaje representativo en la atención de sus engreídos incondicionales. La influencia de las mascotas en nuestras vidas y el sentido positivo de tenerlas han permitido que hoy se celebre el “Día de la Mascota” y promover así el cuidado adecuado de los más engreídos de la casa en donde las mascotas y sus dueños disfrutan de campañas gratuitas de atención veterinaria, diversas exhibiciones y concursos; de la misma manera, la celebración del “Día del Perro” promueve la tenencia responsable, la adopción y la esterilización, tratando de crear conciencia sobre la triste realidad que viven miles de perros en el país y educando a las personas sobre la gran responsabilidad que implica tener una mascota; también vemos como las Municipalidades Distritales toman relevancia en el cuidado de las mascotas, creando áreas especiales responsables como la Oficina de Zoonosis en la Municipalidad de Miraflores o la Municipalidad de San Borja con la Oficina de Control de Canes y Mascotas; ambas responsables de generar actividades como el empadronamiento canino, ferias, adopciones, atención de queja de maltrato animal o la brigada de tenencia responsable; hoy se busca fomentar una mejora en la interacción entre los ciudadanos y sus fieles compañeros, y una cultura de cuidados hacia los animales domésticos. Como dueños de mascotas, sabemos que están expuestas a enfermedades y accidentes que no son posibles de prevenir, a generar daños aun cuando seamos dueños responsables y cuidadosos, es por ese motivo que consideramos viable poder desarrollar un Seguro para Mascotas que cubra los costos de atención en cada uno de los riesgos a los que se encuentran expuestos, el interés creciente que hoy estamos viviendo reforzaron en nosotras la decisión de poder realizar nuestro trabajo de Tesis sobre un tema relacionado a su cuidado, que mejore de alguna manera la calidad de vida de nuestros engreídos y el presupuesto que como dueños tenemos destinado para su cuidado, buscando un equilibrio adecuado entre el costo y los beneficios de poder adquirirlo. El marco teórico de nuestra investigación está basado en lo que representan las mascotas para las familias, este integrante incondicional que nos recibe todos los días con alegría y nos acompaña siempre; muchas familias se ven imposibilitadas de cubrir los costos de atención veterinaria de sus mascotas en casos de emergencia o accidente por el alto costo de los tratamientos, la idea de desarrollar el Seguros para Mascotas incluye también la posibilidad de brindar una opción accesible para enfrentar situaciones inesperadas con un programa de asistencia veterinaria para Mascotas. El planteamiento de este seguro detallara los servicios de prestación dependiendo la demanda común que hoy se tiene para la atención de mascotas en las veterinarias versus la siniestralidad, al ser una investigación exploratoria se requiere iniciar una investigación antropológica, lo cual nos permitirá conocer desde sus inicios el mercado de seguros, además de la necesidad de conocer cómo ha evolucionado el rol de la mascota en el entorno familiar; y mediante esta investigación poder determinar la factibilidad de implementar un seguro dirigido para las mascotas, tomando las ideas adecuadas que beneficiará al producto. Queremos proteger la economía del dueño de la mascota, ayudar a su cuidado, mantener a sus engreídos en buenas condiciones, con sus tratamientos y controles al día, a menores costos y con descuentos y ofertas de los lugares a los que estén afiliados y contribuir a la salud pública, permitiendo el control de la salud de las mascotas de manera planificada, eficiente y más económica, desarrollando un plan de atención médica y beneficios de acuerdo a las coberturas por daños que puedan ocasionar, fomentar la seguridad y el control en el cuidado de los animales, aun cuando sabemos que este seguro se encuentra en un ámbito nuevo, no muy desarrollado. Queremos fomentar en las personas la conciencia por el cuidado de los animales y hacerlos responsables, que tomemos conciencia de la gran responsabilidad que asumimos al tenerlos, la mascota hoy es un miembro más de nuestra familia.

El presente trabajo desarrolla la idea de negocio de un centro de formación y capacitación para niñeras “Lima Nannies”, una propuesta de negocio que se crea por la falta de preparación de las niñeras que quieren mejorar sus ingresos. En ese sentido, Lima Nannies busca ser la primera institución de formación de niñeras, en donde se formen especialistas en el cuidado de niños de 0 a 6 años y donde se encontrarán las niñeras mejores pagadas del país, pues contarán con la certificación del MINEDU, la cual acredite su formación, conocimiento y competencia profesional. Las niñeras, son mujeres entre 18 y 40 años de edad, casadas o solteras sin estudios superiores, que quieren trabajar en el cuidado de niños y que pertenecen a los NSE C, D y E de los distritos de Lima Norte y Lima Sur. En el primer y segundo año, la empresa tendrá su sede en Lima Norte (Los Olivos) y a partir del tercer año proyecta iniciar sus operaciones en la nueva sede de Lima Sur. En cuanto al diseño de sus servicios, estos se desarrollarán en base a tres programas: Carreras técnica de 3 años y cursos cortos de 3 y 6 meses, además del programa de talleres y capacitaciones. Finalmente, se conoció la viabilidad del negocio y el monto de la inversión que suma S/124,452, generando un VAN de S/215,342 y una TIR de 51% lo que evidencia su viabilidad y gran rentabilidad.

Abstract:
Dolina Lima i Polimlje predstavljaju složenu prostornu celinu u kojoj se prepliću različiti prirodni i antropogeni procesi. Analiza elemenata prirodne i sociokulturne sredine, njihovo turističko-ekološko vrednovanje i objedinjavanje treba da pokažu svrsishodnost ulaganja u turizam i ekologiju Polimlja. Tema doktorske disertacije postavljena je tako da se kroz trinaest komplementarnih poglavlja dođe do projektovanog cilja o mogućnostima razvoja pojedinih vrsta ekoturizma. Prikaz objedinjenih sadržaja u određenom obimu doprinosi boljem poznavanju Polimlja i omogućava lakši pristup operativnom delu turističkog planiranja u uslovima ekološke i turističke održivosti. Takva konstatacija proističe iz utvrđenih vrednosti dobijenih analizom parametara kvaliteta životne sredine i sociokulturne baštine. Na osnovu dobijenih vrednosti izveden je zaključak da turizam u ekološkom ambijentu Polimlja s obzirom na kvalitet prirodnih elemenata može postati dominantna delatnost i pored negativih iskustava u oblasti životne sredine iz druge polovine dvadesetog veka.
The valley of the river Lim and Polimlje represent a complex regional entity in which different natural and antropogenic processes interact. Analysis of elements of the natural and socio-cultural environment, their tourist-ecological valorization and combination should show the appropriateness of investing in the tourism and ecology of Polimlje. The theme of this Ph.D. thesis is defined in such a way that through thirteen complementary chapters it arrives at the projected target about the possibillities of the development of some types of eco tourism. Presentation of the combined content to a certain degree contributes to a better knowledge of Polimlje and enables easier access to the operative part of tourist planning in conditions of ecological and tourist maintenance. Such a conclusion is the result of established values obtained by analysis of the quality of the environment and the socio-cultural heritage. Based on the values obtained it may be concluded that tourism in the ecological environment of Polimlje, having in mind the quality of natural elements, could become a dominant activity regardless of negative experiences in the environmental field in the second half of the twentieth century.

Se realizó la presente Investigación con el enfoque Cualitativo, y de Nivel Exploratorio. Nace como producto de ejercer la Consejería en el Consultorio de CETSS a las denominadas “TRABAJADORAS SEXUALES”, viendo que la intervención de Enfermería se enmarcaba en lo preventivo-promocional, diagnóstico precoz y tratamiento oportuno de ETS, más no se indagaba el lado “persona”-“ser humano” de estas mujeres ni se buscaba una reorientación de sus vidas. Este tipo de investigación incrementa y enriquece el marco teórico referente a este problema social para su posterior utilización en el desarrollo de nuevas investigaciones en el ámbito de ENFERMERIA. Se empleó el Método HISTORIA DE VIDA a través de Entrevistas a Profundidad en el Centro de Salud Materno Infantil “Tahuantinsuyo Bajo” a ocho mujeres que ejercen el trabajo sexual. El objetivo fue conocer y describir la historia de vida de estas mujeres. La entrevistas fueron grabadas, luego transcritas a textos. Las categorías emergentes fueron: Sucesos claves en sus relaciones familiares; CONTEXTO FAMILIAR inmediato en su inicio como trabajadora sexual; Sentimientos y Reacciones Emocionales en el Ejercicio del trabajo sexual; y PROYECTO DE VIDA de las trabajadoras sexuales. Y como subcategorías: Disfuncionalidad y Desintegración Familiar. Entre las Consideraciones Finales tenemos: estas mujeres presentan una vida en la cual predomina la Disfuncionalidad y Desintegración Familiar, Violencia de Genero, llevando a una alteración de la identidad personal y de la autoestima. Ejercen la responsabilidad familiar de su hogar y de la familia de procreación, presentan un nivel educativo bajo, falta de oportunidades y falta de ingresos seguros, estables y suficientes; convirtiéndose en factores que influyen pero que no son causas para su ingreso al trabajo sexual; la defino entonces como una actividad de sobre vivencia. Establecen una relación instrumental e impersonal con sus clientes expresando temor, miedo y vergüenza. No tienen un proyecto de vida convergente a todas ellas. Pero mas allá de ello, son personas, seres humanos que tienen sentimientos, piensan, teniendo por detrás todo una vida con profundas huellas. --- This research was made with the Qualitative Forus, and the Exploratory. It was born as a result of the neassity of give pieces of advices to the sexual workers in the Advice Program of sexual Transmitión deseases and AIDS. The interventión of nursery partook onley in the preventión-promotión activities, the precocious diagnosis and the timely treatment of the sexual transmitión diseases and AIDS and did not work with the personal side of those women avoiding also the re orientatión of their lifes. This kind of research increases the theory about this social problem, and also it becomes a important tool for nevo researches in Neusery. The method that was used in this research is the STORY OF LIVE, this was made through deep interviews which took place in the Medical center “Tahuantinsuyo Bajo”. These intervierus were opplied to eight women who work as sexual workers. The objective was to know and describe the story of those women’s lifes. The interviews were recorded and transcripted. Then, they were divided into the following categories: Famili Context about their beginning, their feeling and emotional reactions in their work. Moveoves. And first category in: the family Disfunction and Disintegratión. About the final consideratións we heve: these women have Disfunctión and Desintegratión in their lifes and also violence, it cause a breach in the personal identity of these women and also self-steem problems. Besides these sexual workers have a family life, they have responsabilities about their children and their conceptión. They have a very low educational livel, they suffer low salaries. All those factors influx but not cause the fact these women work as sexual workers, which is why I define this activity as a survive act. This kind of work establish a material and impersonal relationship in the way these women express fear, fright and embarrassment. The sexual workers don’t have a pryect in their lifes. In contrast, they are also people, they are human beings who have feelings and thoghts, Moveover they have huella in their lives. Key words: Sexual Worker, Nursery, Story of life and Proyect of life.

Desde los inicios del siglo XX, los cambios en el uso del Palais Concert han ocurrido paralelamente a los de la ciudad de Lima. ¿Han sido reflejo de cada transformación social, política o económica que experimentó Lima? En este ensayo proponemos que sí, que las transformaciones del Palais Concert, los giros económico- sociales del país y las dinámicas urbanas de Lima están en una relación muy estrecha desde 1913 (año en que abrió el Palais Concert) hasta la actualidad. Presentamos, por lo tanto, un estudio sobre la relación entre las transformaciones del Palais Concert y el devenir de Lima como ciudad.

Existe la necesidad creciente de atender la demanda de tierras para nuevos asentamiento urbanos en la ciudad de Lima ya que su población sigue creciendo y se va asentado de manera desordenada en áreas agrícolas y zonas que no tienen las condiciones necesarias para su habitabilidad; por lo que urge contar con métodos y técnicas que permitan en forma eficiente encontrar y evaluar nuevas áreas para asentamientos urbanos, propiciando una mejor distribución de la población. La presente investigación se basa en el análisis del crecimiento urbano en la ciudad de Lima Metropolitana (Perú), a partir de fotografías aéreas de los años 1944 y 1990 e imágenes satelitales de los años 2005 y 2007 con el fin de proyectar el crecimiento urbano hasta el año 2020 y estimar las áreas que se necesitarán para nuevos asentamientos urbanos. A través del uso de los Sistemas de Información Geográfica se escoge un área al sur del centro de la ciudad, por tener zonas agrícolas de interés y estar influenciado por el crecimiento urbano, en esta zona se realizó un Análisis Espacial Multicriterio para localizar áreas que reúnan las condiciones necesarias para su habitabilidad en términos de vivienda y acceso a los servicios básicos, que a su vez se encuentran en armonía con el medio ambiente, para lo cual se evaluó los aspectos físicos, sociales y económicos del área de estudio, luego se analizó tres alternativas de expansión para priorizarlas tomando en cuenta la población beneficiada y su comunicación con el resto de la ciudad. A partir del Análisis Espacial Muticriterio, se llegó a determinar la mejor alternativa para la expansión al sur de Lima, sin poner en riesgo las áreas agrícolas y teniendo acceso a los servicios básicos. Con la presente investigación, se demuestra que el Análisis Espacial Multicriterio, apoyados en sistemas de información Geográfica, son de utilidad para definir áreas de expansión urbana y apoyar a un adecuado ordenamiento territorial de los nuevos asentamientos humanos y manejo adecuado de los Recursos Naturales.

Es difícil comprender en primera instancia por que una realidad tan cotidiana a nosotros y que afecta a los niños más pobres (económicamente) de nuestro país, como es a los niños lustradores de calzados, no haya sido estudiado a profundidad en las universidades, sean éstas públicas o particulares. Quizá los motivos sean éstos: que justamente por ser tan cotidianos a nosotros es que nos hemos acostumbrado a verlos como algo "normal", lo hemos aceptado como parte de nuestra vida diaria, como parte de nuestra cultura, sin darle mayor importancia a ello, por que hay otras cosas más importantes que unos "pobres niños lustrabotas". Al igual que los adultos, pero de acuerdo a su capacidad física y mental, los niños trabajan. La participación de niños, niñas o adolescentes en un trabajo, que no afecta su salud y desarrollo personal o interfiere con su educación es considerado por lo general como algo positivo. Esto incluye actividades tales como ayudar a sus padres en la casa, asistir en un negocio familiar o ganarse dinero para gastos personales fuera de las horas de escuela y durante las vacaciones escolares. Estas clases de actividades contribuyen al desarrollo de los niños y al bienestar de sus familias; les hace obtener habilidades y experiencia, y ayudan a prepararlos para ser miembros productivos de la sociedad durante su vida adulta. El término "trabajo infantil" suele ser considerado sesgadamente como el trabajo que priva a los niños, niñas o adolescentes de su infancia, su potencial y su dignidad, y que es nocivo para su desarrollo físico y mental. Se refiere al trabajo que es física, mental, social o moralmente perjudicial o dañino para el niño e interfiere en su escolarización, privándole de la oportunidad de ir a la escuela; obligándole a abandonar prematuramente las aulas, o exigiendo que intente combinar la asistencia a la escuela con largas jornadas de trabajo pesado.

AbstractSatisfiability Modulo Linear Integer Arithmetic, SMT (LIA) for short, has significant applications in many domains. In this paper, we develop the first local search algorithm for SMT (LIA) by directly operating on variables, breaking through the traditional framework. We propose a local search framework by considering the distinctions between Boolean and integer variables. Moreover, we design a novel operator and scoring functions tailored for LIA, and propose a two-level operation selection heuristic. Putting these together, we develop a local search SMT (LIA) solver called LS-LIA. Experiments are carried out to evaluate LS-LIA on benchmarks from SMTLIB and two benchmark sets generated from job shop scheduling and data race detection. The results show that LS-LIA is competitive and complementary with state-of-the-art SMT solvers, and performs particularly well on those formulae with only integer variables. A simple sequential portfolio with Z3 improves the state-of-the-art on satisfiable benchmark sets of LIA and IDL benchmarks from SMT-LIB. LS-LIA also solves Job Shop Scheduling benchmarks substantially faster than traditional complete SMT solvers.

A non-contacting method to measure skin blood flow (SkBF) in human extremities that is both simple and accurate could be invaluable in the diagnosis and management of several clinical conditions. For excample, measurement of SkBF in the digit(s) can be useful in the diagnosis and management of Peripheral Arterial Disease, often associated with Type 2 diabetes (Petrofsky et al., 2008). Skin blood flow in the foot can be an indicator of successful infrainguinal revascularization surgery in patients with lower limb ischemia (Saucy et al., 2006; Yamada et al., 2008). Assessment of peripheral perfusion can be useful in determining hemodynamic stability of patients suffering from acute circulatory shock (Lima et al., 2009) or circulatory failure (Lima and Bakker, 2005).

It assesses the current state of 3D technology and identifies common problems, reliability issues, and likely modes of failure. It compares and contrasts all relevant measurement techniques, including X-ray computed tomography, scanning acoustic microscopy (SAM), laser ultrasonics, ultrasonic beam induced resistance change (SOBIRCH), magnetic current imaging, magnetic field imaging, and magneto-optical frequency mapping (MOFM) as well as time domain reflectometry (TDR), electro-optical terahertz pulsed reflectometry (EOTPR), lock-in thermography (LIT), confocal scanning IR laser microscopy, infrared polariscopy, and photon emission microscopy (PEM). It also covers light-induced voltage alteration (LIVA), light-induced capacitance alteration (LICA), lock-in thermal laser stimulation (LI-TLS), and beam-based techniques, including voltage contrast (VC), electron-beam absorbed current (EBAC), FIB/SEM 3D imaging, and scanning TEM imaging (STEM). It covers the basic principles as well as advantages and limitations of each method.

<p>The research is about the assessment of the sustainability level of residential buildings in the city of Lima (Peru) during the occupancy stage of their life cycle, thus generating a proposal for a national sustainable certification methodology adapted to the real situation of the country (main problems, regulations, standards, among others), which allows the most appropriate improvement plans to be proposed. First, the diagnosis of the sustainability characteristics that need to be assessed in buildings in Lima is made. Then, the assessment and scoring method of a situation with such characteristics is presented, which shall be part of the sustainable certification proposal called GREEN UNI. Finally, the certification is applied to a sample of 20 buildings in different areas of Lima, thus recognizing the sustainable situation of buildings in the city.</p>

LIMA is a modular pipeline that implements rule-based and machine learning analysis components. Russian language pipeline includes deep neural networks based modules for tokenization, sentence segmentation, part of speech tagging, lemmatization and dependency parsing. Este artigo analisa a relação público e privado estabelecida nos cursos de graduação em Educação a Distância (EaD) no Brasil e visa compreender sua expansão vertiginosa. Para o processo investigativo foi feito uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental sobre a temática, com fundamentação teórica em Cruz e Lima (2019); Giolo (2018); Lima (2014), Ruas (2014) e Santos (2008). Os dados revelaram que a relação público-privado estabelecida está associada há uma política neoliberal, cuja visão mercantil transformou a educação superior em mercadoria educacional. A expansão vertiginosa da EaD, se deu por meio da desregulação da modalidade. Desse modo, o artigo alerta que o conceito de EaD fica a desejar, sendo preciso uma regulação e avaliação das políticas.

Abstract A new localization method called LIA-SDL is introduced and applied to scan shift problems. The method combines local thermal stimulation technique with lock-in technique applied to periodical test pattern. The localization capability on soft defects is shown in comparison with SDL. Same localization results are obtained. LIA-SDL technique requires no special LSM (Laser Scan Microscope) facilities and is quite easy to handle. Limits and prospects of this new methodology are shown at several analysis examples.

Metode yang digunakan adalah pengamatan langsung pada beberapa rumah amfibi yang ada di Puruk Cahu. Analisis dilakukan dengan cara mendeskripsikan konstruksi fondasi perpolanya. Temuan yang didapat dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat 5 (lima) lima pola konstruksi fondasi Amfibi yang ada di kota Puruk Cahu Kalimantan Tengah. Alrededor del 92% de la población en Lima Metropolitana y el Callao (Perú) se encontraba conectada, en 2015, a la red de Sedapal, empresa pública a cargo de la prestación de los servicios de agua y saneamiento. Además de incrementar la cobertura del servicio en beneficio de la población más vulnerable, la provisión de servicios enfrentaba otros dos retos en dicha ciudad: reducir la filtración de los subsidios a los usuarios domésticos sin afectar a los más pobres y fomentar un uso racional del agua, teniendo en cuenta que Lima es la ciudad más grande del mundo ubicada en un desierto, después de El Cairo. Para avanzar en el cumplimiento de estos retos, la Sunass regulador nacional de los servicios de agua y saneamiento aprobó la implementación de un nuevo sistema de subsidios cruzados que utiliza la información del estrato de ingreso por manzanas como instrumento de focalización.
