Abstract:
By utilizing manipulative tactics, such as persuasion techniques and strategies through social media sites, moral entrepreneurs can maintain and/or increase their scope of influence. In this article, we propose another tactic utilized by moral entrepreneurs, a concept we refer to as shifting morals. The complexity of moral entrepreneurs’ life experiences provides them with an endless set of social and moral norms that they can use to tweak their own ideals to encompass other moral framing networks to gain more followers and thus increase their influence. We examine theoretical literature, while also providing examples that resulted from content analysis from media websites to illustrate our proposed concept of shifting morals. We conclude that the shifting morals tactic is another tool moral entrepreneurs use to increase their influence in society to enact social change.

Abstract:
Folklore is a story created by the community whose existence is intended to entertain children through stories containing moral values to have an essential role for children. It usually based on the culture of those who created them, making folklores from different areas unique in their ways, including the morals they teach. This article is qualitatively aimed to analyse and compare folklores from both Indonesia and Britain, finding similarities and differences in the moral values they teach. This research is directed to compare folklore originating from Indonesia and England because they both have different cultural backgrounds and analyse how each culture can differentiate between two similar stories. The new criticism theory is applied during the comparison process, divided into first analysing the story, ending with the morals that the story attempts to teach. The result of this study shows that, despite the difference in culture between the two cultures, their folklores can teach the same morals, as shown by “Saudagar yang Kikir” dan “The Old Witch”. On the other hand, ‘Legenda Batu Menangis’ and ‘Cap O’ Rushes’ contain different moral values and are more difficult to compare, despite both having familial themes.. Abstract:
This study aims to explore the concept of morality and Muslim personality according to the book of Akhlak Li Al-Banin. The research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study approach. The results of the document analysis show that: 1) morals of karimah include several aspects starting from morals towards Allah, morals towards the Prophet Muhammad SAW, morals towards mothers, morals towards fathers, morals towards sisters, morality towards brothers, morals towards relatives, towards assistants, morals towards people who hurt him, morals towards neighbors, morals towards teachers, and morals towards friends. 2) The factors forming the Muslim personality are internal and external factors (education), nature, taufik and guidance. 3) The Muslim personality has special characteristics both in relation to God (morals to God), relationships to apostles (morals to apostles) and relationships with fellow humans (morals to fellow humans). Akhlakul karimah is an implication for the formation of a Muslim personality who is obedient to Allah, the Apostle, and family. It is recommended that moral education in children should start early, before the character and personality of a child who is still holy is colored by environmental influences that are not necessarily parallel to religious guidance; 2) Everyone must equip himself with the Muslim personality, both through formal and non-formal education.

Abstract:
Abstract The work of Hugolín Gavlovič belongs is part of the most influential literary and didactic heritage of 18th century literature in the region of contemporary Slovakia. Even though Gavlovič was not a systematic moral philosopher, the role and importance of ethics in his literary work is significant. He contributed greatly to the debate on moral education, which was (in the context of that time) linked to the fulfilment of God's will and to the accomplishment of a good life. In his extensive poetic work Valaská škola mravúv stodola [Shepherd´s school of morals], the author not only formulated moral norms but, inspired by classical Greek philosophy, he also defined them in the wider ethical context of virtue, morals, and human nature. In this study, the historical context of his work, marked by the literary and cultural transition to the Enlightenment era, will be presented, concepts related to the understanding of good life (as a goal of moral education) will be identified, and the possibility for further philosophical and ethical analysis of Gavlovič’s work will be offered (through a reflexion of Aristotle’s thoughts referred to in Valaská škola). Overall, the paper offers an original point of view on how to interpret the thoughts of Hugolín Gavlovič from the perspective of ethics. This has been, despite the impact of his work, rather omitted.

Abstract:
Character education is something that absolutely must be implemented because basically all teachers as educators have the same goal in shaping the nation's character. Character education is not necessarily the responsibility of moral education or character and Pancasila education, but is the responsibility of all fields of study. Therefore, in the 2013 implementation curriculum, the balance of learning domains between cognitive, affective, and psychomotor is an absolute output as part of national character education. Character is a person's character or morals obtained from internalization with their environment. A person's character will be good if it is based on moral and ethical values that apply and are agreed upon in society. Emphasized the importance of three components of good character, namely moral knowledge or moral knowledge, moral feelings or feelings about morals, and moral actions or moral actions. Good character will appear after the three character components can be fulfilled in students. The purpose of this service is to strengthen character, ethics and digital literacy in the Covid 19 pandemic situation. So this service is moved to provide reinforcement to schools so that they can help and facilitate the use of digital literacy. The method we use is to provide training to schools on how to use literacy easily. Because the result of the learning process is student character development, in reality online learning is carried out by each school only for student cognitive development. Students are only given assignments and the teacher explains their respective subjects, without asking whether students have bathed or students are already in a suitable place for learning, even though the task of a teacher is not only to build students' cognitive development but also to be able to build and instill values. Good personality traits for students and that is part of the main task of a true educator.

Some of Professor van der Pligt’s work focuses on the role of attitudes and morals, particularly in relation to eating behaviours and nuclear energy. In his speech, Professor van der Pligt also discussed the moralisation of health behaviours, including smoking and eating. Abstract:

Abstract:
The concept of self-respect has received little attention in the psychological literature and is not clearly distinguished from self-esteem. The present research sought to empirically investigate the bases of self-respect by manipulating adherence to morals together with interpersonal appraisals (IAs), or task-related competence, in hypothetical scenarios (Studies 1a and 1b) and a situation participants relived (Studies 2 and 3). Participants’ levels of state self-respect and self-esteem were measured. Studies 1 to 3 found main effects of adherence to morals on self-respect, with self-respect mediating the effect of adherence to morals on self-esteem, but little support for competence and IAs directly influencing self-respect. Self-respect uniquely contributed to anticipated/felt self-esteem alongside competence or IAs. The pattern of results supports the conceptualization of self-respect as a component of self-esteem associated with morally principled conduct, distinct from performance and social self-esteem. The findings have implications for our understanding of self-esteem and moral behavior.

Abstract:
In the past, literature for children and adolescents reflected society’s belief that young readers were not supposed to think for themselves. Stories were vehicles to provide direct, simple moral lessons. Those moralistic books reinforced gender and good / evil tropes, leaving little room for interpretation, moral grey areas and non-traditional gender roles. In this paper, we examine two contemporary books, Le Combat d’hiver (2006) et Le Chagrin du roi mort (2009), as examples of how youth literature has evolved. In both books, readers are presented with complex characters, plots and themes that encourage personal reflection. Morals are not something to be taught but rather felt.

Abstract:
The Tamil language is very ancient and pleasant. The development of a language depends on the quality, taste, and amount of literature produced in it. Thus, our Tamil language has a long pride not only in taste but also in number. Literature in Tamil started from the Sangam period, grew as the Sangam Dark period, increased as Epic literature, beautiful as Minor literature, flourished as Devotional literature, evolved as contemporary literature, and continues to grow day by day. There is no such thing as untold ideas in Tamil literature with such a long and long history. The Akanaanooru and Purananooru carry many messages about the Akam and Puram lives of the people. Along with the lives of the common people, the epic texts boast of the prosperous lives of the kings and their prowess. However, literature which is full of ethical ideas is still popular all over the world. The way of life of the Tamils has been defined as virtue, wealth, and happiness. Moral principles have always been intertwined in the lives of Tamils. Although some moral principles are common to all, some morals vary from human to human. The virtues of ordinary people do not apply to the king. The virtues of the man and the woman do not apply to the birth mother and the foster mother. The virtues of the warriors do not apply to the lover. Ascetic morality does not apply to the family man. In this way, morals also vary from person to person. Moreover, drinking toddy was natural during the Sangam age. But it became immoral at the time when Jainism and Buddhism began to proliferate. So is the eating of meat. Even today, there is a view of eating meat as an unethical practice. This review article is about how the virtues recorded in Tamil literature are different in Tamil life today.

Abstract:
Abstract This article uses music and the discourse about music to understand the practice of tolerance in Prague during the period immediately preceding the outbreak of the Thirty Years’ War. Drawing on Las ensaladas (Prague, 1581), a collection of vernacular polyphony compiled by the Spanish composer Mateo Flecha the Younger, and Harmoniae morales (Prague, 1589–90), comprising musical settings of Latin texts by the Slovenian composer Jacobus Handl, the article argues that such music offered Prague's diverse citizens a medium for reflecting on how to live morally and peaceably. Ultimately, this article challenges the commonplace that musical harmony offered an effective model for social harmony, arguing that the practice of singing together exposed the limits of tolerance even as it illuminated how difference might be accommodated.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper was to critically evaluate the existing conception of normative commitment (NC; Meyer and Parfyonova, 2010) as having “two faces”, indebted obligation and moral duty. This paper proposes that NC should be unidimensional, and based on moral content. Design/methodology/approach Review and reevaluation of empirical research into NC and its fit with Meyer and Parfyonova's theory were conducted. Findings First, existing empirical research is inconsistent with Meyer/Parfyonova's theory of NC, as is their proposed motivational bases for NC having two dimensions. Research limitations/implications An important limitation is that NC is likely a culture-specific concept, so cross-cultural research will be essential to fully develop a universally valid concept of morals-based work commitment. A key implication is that despite the lack of construct validity of the currently used NC construct, morals-based commitment is surely a workplace phenomenon; meaning that steps should be taken to rehabilitate the construct, so it can be investigated in substantive research. Therefore, proposals for developing a unidimensional concept of NC that comports with morals-based forms of organizational attachment are developed. Practical implications Because of the lack of validity of the currently used NC concept, managers are advised to not rely on research using this concept to manage their employee's commitment, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) or withdrawal behavior. Practical implications Organizational members often invest their actions at work with moral meaning. Explicating that meaning via a valid concept of NC could help management researchers understand employee support or lack of support for social responsibility initiatives. Originality/value NC is a key construct in the work commitment literature. This paper shows that the currently utilized construct is largely invalid, and develops steps to be taken to develop a valid concept of morals-based work commitment.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to look in more depth at what motivates bank managers and bank employees to commit fraudulent offences at work. Design/methodology/approach – This exploratory study adopts both quantitative and qualitative methods to better comprehend what motivates bank managers and employees to commit fraud at work. Evidence is taken from a sample of 64 cases of fraud from the UK financial sector. The sample cases were then subdivided in relation to the occupational status of the offender and classified based on the motives of the offender. Findings – The research findings from this study indicate that, as with other sorts of white-collar crimes, financial pressures play a hugely significant role in motivating bank employees and managers to commit fraudulent offences at work. However, the nature of these financial pressures appears to differ significantly depending on what role the offender occupies within the bank. Thus, for cashiers and those in lower positions, personal pressures generally act as the motive, whereas for more senior management offenders, personal financial considerations tend to come second to those of the organisation as a whole. Research limitations/implications – The preliminary findings from this paper emphasises that there is a need for more research to be conducted on occupational fraud in the financial sector as to better understand what motivates insiders in the banking profession to commit financial fraud and other criminal offences. Practical implications – This paper will help accountants and financial regulators to better understand what motivates those in the financial sector to commit fraudulent offences at work. This, in turn, will enable them to better assess fraud risks and establish improved preventive and detective measures. Originality/value – The paper fills a gap in the fraud literature by providing an in-depth study that focuses exclusively on what motivates those inside the financial sector to commit fraudulent offences at work.

Abstract:
This study aims to examine character education for children through the study of moral beliefs about good and bad values. This type of research is qualitative with a literature study method. Research data were obtained from various scientific references, including articles, books, proceedings and final assignments (thesis, thesis, dissertation). Then the data were analyzed systematically based on literature review. The results of this study indicate that moral aqeedah has a very important position in everyday life and is very closely related, because someone who has good faith will lead to good morals or actions, and good morals will encourage someone to do what is good and what is ordered. by Allah and stay away from his prohibitions, so that good faith is planted in his heart. Islam does not only judge the good or bad behavior of a person from visible deeds. But from within himself and his intentions as well. Behavior if it starts with good intentions, then the results will be good and can be judged good, otherwise the deeds that start with bad intentions will result in bad actions and are considered bad too. In addition to good and real deeds in terms of intentions, Islam measures the goodness or badness of a person's behavior in terms of doing it, such as someone who has good intentions if it is done with the wrong action then the act is considered bad (despicable).
