This article is qualitatively aimed to analyse and compare folklores from both Indonesia and Britain, finding similarities and differences in the moral values they teach. This research is directed to compare folklore originating from Indonesia and England because they both have different cultural backgrounds and analyse how each culture can differentiate between two similar stories. The new criticism theory is applied during the comparison process, divided into first analysing the story, ending with the morals that the story attempts to teach. The result of this study shows that, despite the difference in culture between the two cultures, their folklores can teach the same morals, as shown by “Saudagar yang Kikir” dan “The Old Witch”. On the other hand, ‘Legenda Batu Menangis’ and ‘Cap O’ Rushes’ contain different moral values and are more difficult to compare, despite both having familial themes.. Abstract:
By utilizing manipulative tactics, such as persuasion techniques and strategies through social media sites, moral entrepreneurs can maintain and/or increase their scope of influence. In this article, we propose another tactic utilized by moral entrepreneurs, a concept we refer to as shifting morals. The complexity of moral entrepreneurs’ life experiences provides them with an endless set of social and moral norms that they can use to tweak their own ideals to encompass other moral framing networks to gain more followers and thus increase their influence. We examine theoretical literature, while also providing examples that resulted from content analysis from media websites to illustrate our proposed concept of shifting morals. We conclude that the shifting morals tactic is another tool moral entrepreneurs use to increase their influence in society to enact social change.

Abstract:
Abstract The work of Hugolín Gavlovič belongs is part of the most influential literary and didactic heritage of 18th century literature in the region of contemporary Slovakia. Even though Gavlovič was not a systematic moral philosopher, the role and importance of ethics in his literary work is significant. He contributed greatly to the debate on moral education, which was (in the context of that time) linked to the fulfilment of God's will and to the accomplishment of a good life. In his extensive poetic work Valaská škola mravúv stodola [Shepherd´s school of morals], the author not only formulated moral norms but, inspired by classical Greek philosophy, he also defined them in the wider ethical context of virtue, morals, and human nature. In this study, the historical context of his work, marked by the literary and cultural transition to the Enlightenment era, will be presented, concepts related to the understanding of good life (as a goal of moral education) will be identified, and the possibility for further philosophical and ethical analysis of Gavlovič’s work will be offered (through a reflexion of Aristotle’s thoughts referred to in Valaská škola). Overall, the paper offers an original point of view on how to interpret the thoughts of Hugolín Gavlovič from the perspective of ethics. This has been, despite the impact of his work, rather omitted.

Abstract:
Literary works have the potential to enhance a reader’s internal reservoir of life values without being dismissive. Contemporary Indonesian literature specifically imparts moral messages to its readers. This study aims to explain the moral dimensions present in this literature, utilizing descriptive qualitative methods. Purposive sampling was employed for data collection, covering words, sentences, and discourse representing morals from contemporary Indonesian literary works. This research relies on a literature study for data collection, employing the dialectical method for analysis by oscillating between literary texts and social reality. The findings reveal diverse moral dimensions within contemporary Indonesian literature, each contributing significantly to enriching the reader’s inner repertoire. These moral dimensions include (1) transcendental: aligning oneself to God, (2) struggle against evil (jihad fii sabiilillah), (3) nationalism, (4) getting closer to God (transcendental value), (5) gender equality as respect for women, (6) upholding the dignity of women, (7) remembering God (dhikr), (8) low morale leading to corruption, (9) upholding religion above worldliness, and (10) religious idea: life is a pseudo-game. The study’s implications suggest that contemporary Indonesian literature serves as a significant source for fostering moral values, contributing to readers’ inner development by highlighting themes such as spirituality, societal responsibility, and ethical conduct. This insight can inform educational and cultural initiatives to promote moral awareness and consciousness.

Character is a person's character or morals obtained from internalization with their environment. A person's character will be good if it is based on moral and ethical values that apply and are agreed upon in society. Emphasized the importance of three components of good character, namely moral knowledge or moral knowledge, moral feelings or feelings about morals, and moral actions or moral actions. Good character will appear after the three character components can be fulfilled in students. The purpose of this service is to strengthen character, ethics and digital literacy in the Covid 19 pandemic situation. So this service is moved to provide reinforcement to schools so that they can help and facilitate the use of digital literacy. The method we use is to provide training to schools on how to use literacy easily. Because the result of the learning process is student character development, in reality online learning is carried out by each school only for student cognitive development. Students are only given assignments and the teacher explains their respective subjects, without asking whether students have bathed or students are already in a suitable place for learning, even though the task of a teacher is not only to build students' cognitive development but also to be able to build and instill values. Good personality traits for students and that is part of the main task of a true educator.

Abstract:
This journal discusses the moral education of today's children from a Christian perspective. The term today's children in Indonesia is better known as Kids Age Now. Kids Age Now is actually an allusion to the unnatural behavior of today's children. Education that is distanced and moral is a series of basic moral principles and the virtues of attitudes and character that children must have and make habits from a beginner's time until they become obedient to God. This research is a library research with a literature study approach through reference sources, such as books, articles, journals, and other scientific sources used in the discussion of this research. To deal with the problems of Kids Age Now, morals that are sourced from the Bible and Christian youth activities are needed. The goal is that today's children become children who have good character and are commendable. Being a Christian youth with character and morals is not easy, because Christian youths with character and morals are youths whose behavior follows the teachings of Christ, have Bible-based morals, are able to be good Christian youths, and do the right things and what Christ wants.

Education has always been the main pillar in building national morals, including in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The rapid development of technology has brought major changes in various areas of life, including education. This has a negative impact on the morals and character of society. On the one hand, this progress increases access and quality of education. The aim of this research was to clarify the role of Islamic religious education for students in this revolutionary era. Islamic religious education not only helps students understand religious values, but also forms strong characters, making them honest, integrity and responsible individuals. This shows that Islamic religious education contributes significantly to social and moral development, which will ultimately support the creation of a more harmonious and prosperous society. Apart from the role of Islamic religious education, Islam also plays an important role in the formation of morals. Islam helps students understand religious values. Today's young generation must have high morals, be honest, believe in individuals, and contribute actively to society.

Abstract:
Education is a humanizing process. This concept indicates that there is no education if morality is fragile. This article aims to analyze the narrative of surah Luqman verses 12-19, which contains essential themes in moral education for children. Through a literature study, data were obtained by searching written documents based on the text of the commentary of al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. As for data analysis, the researcher used Spradley's notion of componential-taxonomy analysis to make finding meaningful and relevant themes easier. The results of this study found that the concept of moral education in surah Luqman contains content about monotheism, devotion to both parents, and calls for doing various virtues while trying to prevent evil. This study also found that in the text of surah Luqman, there are at least three main points of moral education: spiritual morals, individual morals, and social morals. This research contributes to a more contextual interpretation of educational discourse on children facing social realities in their future lives. At the same time, the concept of amar ma'ruf is education-oriented toward harmony, while nahi munkar is an educational effort oriented towards efforts to avoid communal conflict.

Schools should equip their libraries with sufficient novels on young adult literatures, the teachers should dwell more on the plot, theme and characters in the novels. Students should be guided and emphasis should be made on the need to read young adult literatures, and more time should be allotted on the school timetable for reading of young adult literature.

Abstract:
The concept of self-respect has received little attention in the psychological literature and is not clearly distinguished from self-esteem. The present research sought to empirically investigate the bases of self-respect by manipulating adherence to morals together with interpersonal appraisals (IAs), or task-related competence, in hypothetical scenarios (Studies 1a and 1b) and a situation participants relived (Studies 2 and 3). Participants’ levels of state self-respect and self-esteem were measured. Studies 1 to 3 found main effects of adherence to morals on self-respect, with self-respect mediating the effect of adherence to morals on self-esteem, but little support for competence and IAs directly influencing self-respect. Self-respect uniquely contributed to anticipated/felt self-esteem alongside competence or IAs. The pattern of results supports the conceptualization of self-respect as a component of self-esteem associated with morally principled conduct, distinct from performance and social self-esteem. The findings have implications for our understanding of self-esteem and moral behavior.

Abstract:
Character education in educational institutions is the foundation in moral development. Islamic Religious Education Materials (PAI) and Budi Pekerti (BP) are learning materials that are very relevant to moral development in schools. Moral learning cannot be separated from the culture of the school environment. Minangkabau culture that developed through Islamic culture has moral values as evidenced by several moral terms that are relevant to Minangkabau expressions. The integration of PAI BP learning with Minangkabau culture needs to be done in the context of developing and strengthening the morals of students. The method used in this study is a literature review sourced from 15 national journals and 3 international journals published between 2018 and 2022. The journals were selected from Google Schoolar with the keywords "moral integration in learning", "Minangkabau culture in moral learning", and "humanistic theory in moral learning". The results of the study show that the integration of PAI BP learning with moral values in Minangkabau culture can be done by preparing lesson plans using a humanistic theory approach. The planning stage of learning both preparation, implementation and evaluation must contain elements of morals.
