Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
As a new radar system with improved performance, distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar provides a new idea for the development of netted radar. Aiming at the limited resource allocation problem of netted radar, this paper extends the idea of distributed MIMO radar to netted radar and proposes a resource scheduling algorithm for multitarget imaging in distributed netted radar based on the maximum scheduling benefits. Under the condition of the cognition of the target characteristics, the algorithm comprehensively considers the angle and dwell time to complete the multiradar and multitarget matching. Then it uses the principle of compressed sensing to calculate the pulse resources required for sparse imaging of each target on the corresponding radar. In this paper, the scheduling benefit of a radar system is expressed by weighting the three factors of the scheduling success rate, the hit value rate and the pulse resource consumption rate. The resource scheduling model is established according to the maximum scheduling benefits and solved using a heuristic algorithm. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional algorithm, this method improves the scheduling benefits of the radar system.

Abstract:
Abstract:Cycads in the Zamiaceae are well known for their host-specific insect pollination mutualisms. Pollination of Cycas in the sister family Cycadaceae is less well-documented, with beetle pollination possibly coexisting with a limited potential for wind pollination, a hypothesis we tested for C. ophiolitica in Central Queensland, Australia. Cones were associated with three species of beetle: an undescribed weevil (Curculionidae), Hapalips sp. (Erotylidae) and Ulomoides sp. (Tenebrionidae). Pollination-vector exclusion experiments compared the pollination success (quantified as % ovules pollinated per cone) of control cones against bagged or netted cones that excluded wind or insects respectively (n = 10 for all treatments). Insects do pollinate C. ophiolitica in the absence of wind, the median (first quartile-third quartile) pollination success of control plants being 83.7% (60.8–87.2%) while bagged cones, from which wind, but not insects, were excluded, pollinated at 52.9% (19.5–74.8%). For netted cones, (excluding insects but not wind), pollination fell to 12.6% (10.9–45.9%). Airborne pollen (as quantified by capture on a series of adhesive pollen traps) decreased rapidly with distance from male cones, potentially becoming ineffective for wind pollination at ~5 m. Airborne pollen load in the vicinity of female cones, and distance of females from neighbouring males, suggests wind pollination may occur sporadically, but only at high spatial densities. Although Cycas appears to be primarily insect pollinated, this limited potential for ambophily may be significant given the history of dispersal and pollinator host shifts among these cycads.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper examines how, in Les Mohicans de Paris, Alexandre Dumas assigns animalistic features to some characters to question the relations between humans and animals while portraying the various dogs in the novel in a way which blurs the limits between humans and animals. These seemingly accessory canine characters are actually closely associated with the fundamental elements of the novel. More precisely, the way “man’s best friend” is put in fiction actually repeats the political project at the heart of Les Mohicans de Paris.

Abstract:
Abstract We conducted a gear comparison study to determine the best fish-sampling methodology in shoal habitat to assist with the development of a long-term fish community monitoring program on the Chipola River, Florida. Shoal habitat occurs throughout the southeastern United States, is shallow (< 1 m), and contains rock substrate and outcroppings, which limits boat electrofishing to the habitat margins. We compared the relative effectiveness of an electric seine and backpack electrofishers. Twenty-five randomly selected sites (4 m wide by 5 m long) per gear type were block netted and sampled across four shoals from August 28 to October 3, 2014. Habitat variables were recorded for each site. Using backpack electrofishers, 1,155 fish representing 21 species were collected. Using the electric seine, 1,036 fish representing 22 species were collected. We found no significant differences between gear types in mean total catch per site, mean species richness per site, Shannon's diversity, Simpson's dominance, Pielou's evenness, or the rate of species accumulation. Therefore, we consider the two gear types to be equally effective for block-netted sites in large river shoals. Differences in available equipment, funding, and personnel were compared and may ultimately determine which gear type is used in future studies.

Abstract:
216 Background: Gut neuroendocrine tumors (NETs or “carcinoids”) are difficult to manage since they present with advanced disease and limited treatment options are available. Imaging is relatively insensitive in identifying treatment efficacy and the current biomarker, a neurosecretory peptide, Chromogranin A (CgA), has limited value. There is a lack of specific blood biomarker tests both to detect tumors and measure treatment responsiveness. We report the utility of a 51 marker peripheral blood signature (NETest) in comparison to CgA. Methods: The signature was validated using a 2-step qPCR method for detecting NETs in two sets (n=115; n=120) and for measuring treatment responses in a third set (n=133, including complete remission: n=4, clinically stable disease: n=82 and non-responders/clinically progressive disease: n=47). Comparison with CgA (DAKO-ELISA) was undertaken. The confounding effects of PPIs, age, sex and race were also determined for the PCR test. Results: The PCR NETest detected NETs with high sensitivity (85-98%) and specificity (93-97%). It identified pancreatic and gastrointestinal NETs with similar efficacy (>85%) as well as metastatic and non-metastatic lesions. NETest score was significantly reduced (p<0.004) following surgery or RFA and significantly higher in clinically progressive disease compared to stable disease (5.8±0.3 versus 0.6±0.1, p<0.002). The performance metrics for differentiating stable and progressive disease were sensitivity: 91% and specificity: 91%. The score was robust (reproducibility: Coefficient of Variation<2%).Long-term PPI use (>1yr), did not alter the NETest values, neither did age, sex or ethnicity. The PCR score was significantly (p<0.0005) more accurate than CgA for identifying NETs and was elevated in 91% of NETs when CgA was normal. Conclusions: This study demonstrates that a multi (51)-gene NET panel is both sensitive and specific for detecting NETs and is capable of differentiating clinically stable from progressive disease. The test is robust and significantly more sensitive and specific (accurate) than CgA. The NETest thus facilitates both accurate disease detection, and disease progress thereby permitting assessment of treatment efficacy.

Abstract:
A male greater horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus ferruequinum) was netted at the entrance to the abandoned Mauritius mine (50°23’32”N, 12°50’01”E; 1018 m a. s. l.) in the Krušné Hory Mts (Ore Mountains) on 2 September 2023. This is the first record of this species in north-western Bohemia and first record outside the hibernation period for the whole Bohemia. The site is situated beyond the northern limits of the continuous distribution range of the species. Mist netting campaigns during the swarming period have been taking place at the site regularly since 2005 (except 2006 and 2022) and Rhinolophus ferruequinum was never recorded there before.

Abstract:
222 Background: Secretory tumor markers traditionally measured in patients with NET, such as chromogranin A, are lacking in sensitivity and specificity, and consequently are of limited clinical utility. The NETest, a novel blood multigene RNA transcript assay, has been found to be highly sensitive and specific. We sought to validate the sensitivity of the NETest in a population consisting of metastatic well-differentiated NETs, and evaluate the specificity of the test in a mixed population of metastatic non-NET GI malignancies and healthy individuals. Methods: 100 individuals consented to be tested, comprising of 49 patients with metastatic well-differentiated NETs of gastroenteropancreatic and lung origin, 25 patients with other gastrointestinal cancers, and 26 healthy individuals. Samples were sent in a blinded fashion to a central laboratory (Wren Laboratories). A NETest value of 0-13% was considered within normal range. Results: Using the ULN of 13%, the sensitivity of the NETest was 98% (CI 89%-100%) with 48 true positive results and one false negative. The overall specificity (in a mixed population of healthy individuals and non-NET cancer patients) was 63% (CI 49%-75%), with 32 true negative and 19 false positive results. Among the 26 healthy individuals the specificity was 81% (CI 62%-92%); among patients with other GI cancers, specificity was 44% (CI 27%-63%). Using an alternate and updated normal range of 0-20%, sensitivity was unchanged (98%), but specificity improved to 100% among healthy patients, and 64% among patients with other cancers. Conclusions: The sensitivity of the NETest is exceptionally high in a population of metastatic well-differentiated NETs. Specificity within a healthy population of patients is exceptionally high when using a normal range of 0-20%, and moderately high when using a normal range of 0-13%. Specificity is lower when evaluating patients with other GI malignancies. Clinical trial information: NCT02948946.

Abstract:
TPS4660 Background: Radiolabeled somatostatin analogues provide a means of delivering targeted radiation with a high therapeutic index to NETs that express somatostatin receptors (SSTRs). Radiolabeled somatostatin analogue Lutetium Lu 177 Dotatate (Lutathera) is a beta-emitting radionuclide, recently FDA approved for use in SSTR positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEPNETS) in the US based on the NETTER-1 Phase III trial. Despite favorable PFS and safety profile, the drug has limited cytoreductive capability with a 17% ORR. We hypothesize that addition of an effective radiation sensitizer could help improve antitumor activity of Lutathera. Ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) is the only enzyme responsible for conversion of ribonucleoside diphosphate to deoxyribonucleotide diphosphate (dNDP), the key building blocks for DNA synthesis. Radiation is a potent inducer of DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs), and RNR is the rate-limiting enzyme in the repair of DNA in this setting. Triapine is an inhibitor of RNR. This study will test the hypothesis that radiation sensitizer triapine can be safely combined with peptide receptor radionuclide therapy and ultimately may improve antitumor activity of Lutetium Lu 177 Dotatate. Methods: This study is an investigator initiated, NCI sponsored, multicenter phase 1 trial of triapine and Lutetium Lu 177 Dotatate in well-differentiated somatostatin receptor-positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (GEP-NETs) after the failure of at least one line of prior systemic cancer treatment. A total of 29 patients will be enrolled in the dose escalation with help of Bayesian optimal interval design (BOIN) and dose expansion cohorts. The study will be open through the NCI ETCTN (National Cancer Institute Experimental Therapeutics Clinical Trials Network) program. Patients will be treated with 177 lutetium dotatate in combination with triapine. Triapine will be administered orally (100 mg once a day starting dose) from D1-14 with each dose of PRRT [200 mCi]. Primary endpoint is to evaluate recommended phase II dose (RP2D). Secondary endpoints are to evaluate safety, pharmacokinetics, and clinical activity (ORR and PFS). We are also evaluating NETEST, a novel blood based test that evaluates levels of 51 neuroendocrine tumor gene transcripts. In addition, the study will correlate clinical outcome with baseline somatostatin receptor density, somatic tumor mutations and germline mutations. Clinical trial information: 04234568 .

Abstract:

Abstract:
4116 Background: Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy with 177Lu-DOTATATE is indicated in somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours. The NETTER-R registry builds upon the existing evidence for pts with advanced pNETs, who have limited therapeutic options. Methods: NETTER-R is a retrospective registry of pts with unresectable or metastatic, well-differentiated, SSTR-positive, progressive pNETs treated with 177Lu-DOTATATE in the UK, France and Spain. Pts who received ≥1 administration of 177Lu-DOTATATE were included. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS) based on RECIST v1.1. Secondary endpoints included overall survival (OS), safety and tumour response. Results: A total of 110 pts with pNETs were identified. Median age was 58.0 years (range 28–89) and 52.7% were male. At baseline, 96.4% of pts had progressive disease. The Ki-67 index was ≤2% in 23.6%, 3–20% in 66.4% and >20% in 2.7% of pts (7.3% missing). Metastases were present in the liver in 95.5% and bone in 29.1% of pts. Nearly all pts (90.9%) had received at least one prior anticancer therapy (somatostatin analogues: 70.0%, chemotherapy: 61.8%, protein kinase inhibitors: 38.2%). The majority of pts (70.0%) received all four scheduled cycles of 177Lu-DOTATATE. The cumulative activity was 26.6–32.6 GBq in 65.5% of pts (<26.6 GBq: 31.8%, ≥32.6 GBq: 2.7%). 12 pts were re-treated after disease progression and received 1–4 additional cycles of 177Lu-DOTATATE. By RECIST v1.1, evaluable in 62 pts, median PFS was 24.8 months (95% CI 17.5–34.5) and objective response rate was 40.3% (95% CI 28.1–53.6); all responses were partial. The response rate, including radiological, clinical, metabolic and biomarker assessments, evaluable in 100 pts, was 54.0% (95% CI 43.7–64.0), including 2 pts with complete response. Over a median follow-up of 24.5 months (range 2.0–123.4), median OS in 110 pts was 41.4 months (95% CI 28.6–50.2). 71.8% (n=79/110) of pts had at least one treatment-emergent adverse event (TEAE). The most frequent were nausea (28.2%) and fatigue (22.7%), predominantly grade 1/2 in severity. No TEAEs led to treatment discontinuation. Grade 3 anaemia and lymphopenia occurred in 1 (0.9%) and 4 (3.6%) pts, respectively. No grade ≥3 thrombocytopenia or neutropenia were reported. Renal TEAEs occurred in 6 pts (5.5%; grade 1: n=1, grade 2: n=2, grade 3: n=3). Grade 3 renal events were transient (≤24 days) and did not lead to treatment modification. No acute leukaemia or myelodysplastic syndrome were reported within the follow-up. Conclusions: In a real-world population of pts with advanced pNETs, 177Lu-DOTATATE was well tolerated with a safety profile consistent with the NETTER-1 trial. With limited follow-up, the OS and PFS compared favourably with cohorts of progressive pNET patients treated with other systemic agents.

Abstract:
Urtica L. (Urticaceae) is a subcosmopolitan genus common throughout temperate Asia. Species delimitation is very difficult and the present study investigates a group of taxa associated with Urtica fissa from East-Southeast Asia and based mainly on herbarium collections, including most of the type specimens and cultivated plants. Species limits especially of U. mairei, U. fissa and U. himalayensis have been consistently confused in both herbaria and floristic treatments. As part of a taxonomic revision we produced a molecular phylogeny of the group based on ITS1-5.8S-ITS2, psbA–trnH, trnL–trnF and trnS–trnG markers. Our revision recovers a total of five species and two subspecies: U. fissa E.Pritz. ex Diels, U. grandidentata Miq. subsp. grandidentata, U. grandidentata Miq. subsp. lombok K.Becker & Weigend, U. himalayensis Kunth & C.D.Boché, U. mairei Lév. and U. parviflora Roxb. We provide type information, diagnostic characters, a key to species identification, species conservation assessments and a list of exsiccatae for each taxon.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Proper complementary feeding is required to provide essential nutrients to growing infants. However, most families in developing countries are severely food insecure, leading to constant child malnutrition. This study developed fermented corn complementary foods (pap) supplemented with abundantly available and affordable stinging nettles. Stinging nettle leaf flour was incorporated into pap at 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% and evaluated in relation to nutritional, functional, and sensory properties. Soybeans were used to compare the nutritional and health benefits of nettles in infant nutrition. A gradual incorporation of nettle leaf flour increased (p&lt;0.05) the ash, protein, and dietary fibre content of pap from 0.72%, 3.48% and 2.87% to 9.46%, 18.98% and 4.56% respectively. Likewise, nettle-enriched pap contained higher carotenoids (4.99mg/100g), vitamin C (48.76mg/100g), calcium (176.49mg/100g), phosphorus (35.21mg/100g), potassium (210.54mg/100g), and iron (284.55mg/100g) than soybean-enriched pap: 0.96, 4.40, 50.99, 29.29, 204.78 and 64.02mg/100g respectively. While total phenolic content and antioxidant activity index increased (p&lt;0.05) with increasing addition of nettle leaf flour from 1.23mgGAE/g and 0.15 to 125.45mgGAE/g and 2.01 respectively, the metabolic glycaemic response decreased (p&lt;0.05) from 68.53% to 35.60%. In addition, all functional qualities were within acceptable limits for complementary feeding. Nursing mothers rated the overall acceptability between 7.14 (5% nettle-enriched pap) and 6.23 (20% nettle-enriched pap), and 12 of these 20 mothers accepted to feed their babies with stinging nettle leaf flour. Our findings indicated that stinging nettle leaves are nutritionally important for improving low-cost complementary feeding and thus could contribute to the combat of infant malnutrition in rural communities.

Abstract:

Abstract:
<p>The netted wireless sensor nodes or coherent accumulation processing in multistatic radar imaging requires high accuracy time synchronization. Although GNSS timing can also be used as a time synchronization method to serve the applications above, its timing accuracy will be limited. In this context, we present the hardware implementation for Two-Way Time-Frequency Real-Time Synchronization (TWTFRTS) with an automatic adaptive jitter elimination algorithm based on Kalman and PID, which is implemented in a real-time, low-cost, portable Xilinx ZYNQ device. A short (2 km) baseline TWTFRTS experiment was done with a pair of devices composed of a master device and a slave device. The result shows a high precision of time synchronization performance with the standard deviation (1 &sigma;) better than 1 ns.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
e15697 Background: Neuroendocrine tumours (NET) of the pancreas (PNET) or small bowel (SBNET) frequently present with metastases at initial diagnosis, undermining the efficacy of surgical treatment. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with radiolabelled somatostatin analogues, 90Y-DOTATOC and 177Lu-DOTATATE, has been shown to achieve prolonged progression-free survival (PFS) in a substantial number of non-surgical patients with advanced NET. Our aim was to prospectively determine the efficacy of a combination of radical loco-regional surgery and PRRT in patients with metastasised NET. Methods: A set of inclusion criteria was defined (e.g. G1/G2 NET, initial tumour diagnosis, treatment naïve patient, stage IV NET, positivity on 68Ga DOTA- PET/CT, eligibility for surgery and PRRT). Patients underwent PRRT within 3 months following surgery. Follow-up included biochemistry and imaging. In a sub-cohort, blood-based neuroendocrine gene transcript analysis of 51 genes (NETest) was used to define the effectiveness of treatment. Outcome measures included 5-year overall survival (OS) and PFS from initial diagnosis. Results: Twenty-five patients (5 PNET, 20 SBNET) met eligibility criteria and were included. There were 13 men (52%) and mean age was 57.1 years. All patients with SB NET underwent right hemicolectomy, terminal ileal resection and mesenteric lympadenectomy. In all PNET patients only limited pancreatic resection was required. The median number of PRRT cycles was 4 (range 2-6). Post-treatment mortality was 0%. Surgical morbidity was 12% (all Clavien-Dindo grade 1). Transient grade 1 toxicity occurred post-PRRT in 40%. NETest scores were increased in 8 patients (100%) pre-operatively and decreased in all following treatment. NETest decreases correlated with diminished tumour volume (R2=0.37, p=0.02). Median follow-up was 48 months (range 12-72months). Five-year OS was 90% and 5-year PFS was 84.3%. Conclusions: Radical loco-regional surgery for primary tumours combined with PRRT provides a novel, highly efficacious approach in metastasised NET. The NETest accurately measures the effectiveness of treatment.

Abstract:
Urtica L. (Urticaceae) is a subcosmopolitan genus, which is also common throughout Asia. Taxon differentiation in the Asian Urtica species is difficult due to the limited diversity of taxonomically useful characters combined with a range of phenotypic variation. The present study investigates the species Urtica thunbergiana Sieb. & Zucc. (incl. U. laetevirens) from eastern Asia based on herbarium collections, including most of the type specimens. The delimitation of U. thunbergiana is expanded to include all three currently recognized subspecies of U. laetevirens Maxim. Also, one newly infraspecific taxon is described from Taiwan. Based on our revision, the recognition of a total of four subspecies of Urtica thunbergiana is proposed: subsp. thunbergiana, subsp. dentata (Hand.-Mazz.) K.Becker & Weigend, subsp. silvatica (Hand.-Mazz.) K.Becker & Weigend, and subsp. perserrata, subspec. nov. The systematic re-arrangements are based on morphological analyses and a highly resolved phylogeny based on the molecular markers ITS1–5.8S–ITS2, psbA–trnH, trnL–trnF and trnS–trnG.

Abstract:
Data for the catches of sharks at each beach meshed in New South Wales are presented for the period from October 1972 to December 1990. High catch rates of sharks were observed at a number of these beaches. Comparison of the catches of sharks at each beach by means of hierarchical clustering and nonmetric multidimensional scaling revealed regional associations as well as some unusual relationships. Beaches at either end of each netted region (i.e. Newcastle, Sydney or Wollongong) tended to have higher catches than did beaches in the centre of each region. Hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna spp.) had significantly higher catch rates on long open beaches. Significantly higher catches of whaler (Carcharhinus spp.), white (Carcharodon carcharias), and tiger (Galeocerdo cuvier) sharks occurred when deeper water was closer to the beach. Limited biological and seasonal data are also presented for the 11 species or species groups: Sphyrna spp., Carcharhinus spp., Squatina austmlis, Heterodontus spp., Carcharodon carcharias, Galeocerdo cuvier, Carcharias taurus, Notorynchus cepedianus, Alopias spp., Isurus oxyrinchus and Orectolobus spp.

Abstract:
194 Background: Currently, there are limited therapeutic options for patients with advanced midgut neuroendocrine tumors progressing on first-line somatostatin analog therapy. Methods: NETTER-1 is the first Phase III multicentric, randomized, controlled trial evaluating 177Lu-DOTA0-Tyr3-Octreotate (Lutathera) in patients with inoperable, progressive, somatostatin receptor positive midgut NETs. 230 patients with Grade 1-2 metastatic midgut NETs were randomized to receive Lutathera 7.4 GBq every 8 weeks (x4 administrations) versus Octreotide LAR 60 mg every 4-weeks. The primary endpoint was PFS per RECIST 1.1 criteria, with objective tumor assessment performed by an independent reading center every 12 weeks. Secondary objectives included objective response rate, overall survival, toxicity, and health-related quality of life. Results: Enrolment was completed in February 2015, with a target of 230 patients randomized (1:1) in 36 European and 15 sites in the United States. At the time of statistical analysis, the number of centrally confirmed disease progressions or deaths was 23 in the Lutathera group and 67 in the Octreotide LAR 60 mg group. The median PFS was not reached for Lutathera and was 8.4 months with 60 mg Octreotide LAR [95% CI: 5.8-11.0 months], p < 0.0001, with a hazard ratio of 0.21 [95% CI: 0.13-0.34]. Within the current evaluable patient dataset for tumor responses (n = 201), the number of CR+PR was 19 (18.8%) in the Lutathera group and 3 (3.0%) in the Octreotide LAR 60 mg group (p < 0.0004). Although the OS data were not mature enough for a definitive analysis, the number of deaths was 13 in the Lutathera group and 22 in the Octreotide LAR 60 mg group (p < 0.019 at interim analysis) which suggests an improvement in overall survival. Conclusions: The Phase III NETTER-1 trial provides evidence for a clinically meaningful and statistically significant increase in PFS and ORR, and also suggests a survival benefit in patients with advanced midgut NETs treated with Lutathera. Clinical trial information: NCT01578239.

Abstract:

Abstract:
In South Korea, the Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra (Linnaeus, 1758)), a semi-aquatic carnivore, is found mainly in lower order streams that tend to have a low abundance of preferred prey fish species. To investigate the relationship between resource use and availability, we used DNA barcoding to identify otter diet items in 24 otter spraints (faeces) from 16 sites along the Nakdong River basin from 4 to 6 June 2014. At these sites fish availability was assessed using scoop nets and casting nets. Fish formed the bulk of otter diet, which included also frogs, mammals, and reptiles. By DNA barcoding (success rate: 72.38%), we identified 79 prey items from 105 bone remains. The diet comprised mostly fish, but frogs, mammals, and reptiles were also identified. The fish fauna and otter diet composition differed significantly. Across the study sites, members of the Cyprinidae dominated in netted samples, but occurred less frequently in otter diet. Because most Cyprinidae are fast swimmers, otters also fed on benthic fishes and frogs, suggesting limited foraging flexibility in otters and specialization on more slowly moving prey.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
The success of Lutathera™ ([177Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE) in the NETTER-1 clinical trial as a peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) for somatostatin receptor expressing (SSTR) neuroendocrine tumours (NET) is likely to increase the demand for patient stratification by positron emission tomography (PET). The current gold standard of gallium-68 radiolabelled somatostatin analogues (e.g., [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE) works effectively, but access is constrained by the limited availability and scalability of gallium-68 radiopharmaceutical production. The aim of this review is three-fold: firstly, we discuss the peptide library design, biological evaluation and clinical translation of [18F]fluoroethyltriazole-βAG-TOCA ([18F]FET-βAG-TOCA), our fluorine-18 radiolabelled octreotide; secondly, to exemplify the potential of the 2-[18F]fluoroethylazide prosthetic group and copper-catalysed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) chemistry in accessing good manufacturing practice (GMP) compatible radiopharmaceuticals; thirdly, we aim to illustrate a framework for the translation of similarly radiolabelled peptides, in which in vivo pharmacokinetics drives candidate selection, supported by robust radiochemistry methodology and a route to GMP production. It is hoped that this review will continue to inspire the development and translation of fluorine-18 radiolabelled peptides into clinical studies for the benefit of patients.

Abstract:
We examined and compared heavy metals bioaccumulation in Cyprinus carpio and Labeo rohita netted from Sardaryab, a tributary of River Kabul. By using atomic absorption spectrometry we assessed different organs including livers, gills, and muscles. Metals studied were chromium, iron, zinc, lead, and copper. Livers of both species showed higher concentrations of metals while muscles showed the least amount. Chromium and iron were the highly concentrated metals in the gills and livers of both species. A quantity of 0.154 ± 0.011, 0.199 ± 0.0079, and 0.024 ± 0.008 μg/g of chromium was found in the gills, livers, and muscles of Cyprinus carpio, respectively. Similarly, the gills, liver, and muscles of Labeo rohita contained 0.133 ± 0.008, 0.165 ± 0.01, and 0.019 ± 0.006 μg/g of Cr, respectively. Iron was highest in carp in the range of 0.086 ± 0.01 in gills and 0.067 ± 0.011 μg/g in muscles, comparatively. All the studied metals were found within the US recommended daily dietary allowances (RDA) limits; hence no immediate risk in their consumption for human was found. The data showed that Cyprinus carpio being omnivorous and bottom feeder stored higher concentrations of metals as compared to Labeo rohita.

Abstract:
Abstract:In Indonesia and elsewhere, Imperata cylindrica grassland now covers millions of hectares of land previously covered by rain forest. In the present study, shrubs, trees and climbers were recorded in sixteen 10 × 20-m plots and herb cover (ferns, grasses and herbaceous dicots) estimated in nested 2 × 2-m subplots. Butterflies and odonates were netted along 300-m transects. All plots and transects were randomly allocated to a 450 ha, I. cylindrica-dominated landscape. A total of 43 shrub, tree and climber, 16 herb, 67 butterfly and 30 odonate species were recorded. Shrubs, trees and climbers were present throughout the study area, but basal area was very low and mainly consisted of invasive species. Imperata cylindrica covered an estimated 65% of the area with other plant species or bare soil covering the remainder. Butterfly and odonate communities mainly consisted of species with large geographic distributions, but some recorded species had more limited distributions. The latter were, however, species known to associate with perturbed forest environments. Variation in the composition of butterflies and odonates was also related to variation in habitat structure (e.g. altitude and slope) and plant composition. Plant composition in particular appeared to structure both butterfly and odonate communities.

Abstract:
Background The subjects of basic pharmacology and clinical pharmacology originate from same concepts but have a clear demarcation yet are so inter-linked and netted together that it is very critical and technical to identify and differentiate one from the other. This write-up is basically aimed to discuss and analyze the demarcations and similarities between basic and clinical pharmacology. Methodology Total 10 pharmacologists, pharmacists and medical specialists were recruited to conduct the survey from 1st December 2022 to 15th April 2023 in Northwest School of Medicine. Information was collected via literature search online, consulting Pharmacology books, libraries and discussions with subject experts. Results The basic pharmacology focuses on the study of the effects of substances on the body following experimental data that is collected via animal studies which defines the basic parameters and helps in derivation of the main foundational principles of the subject. Clinical pharmacology although follows the same basic principles and concepts but is the study of these principles in the human subjects rather than the animal studies. These studies are subjects however the two are inter-connected in many ways and the concepts go to and fro from one t the other. Conclusion The basic pharmacology is limited to the animal studies while the clinical pharmacology shelters human clinical trials and the policies, which come with the human studies and therapeutics.

Abstract:
Humans are the most perfect creatures that God created compared to others, because humans have thoughts and feelings that other creatures do not have. God revealed Islam as a guide for humans so they would not be easily lost. Religion is a benchmark for someone to do an act, because in religion there are rules that God gives in living life. The rules are not limited to human relations with God, but the rules of relations between humans and relations with their environment. Symptoms of insecurity in one's soul are easily anxious, fearful, emotional overflowing and uncontrollable, so that he cannot be friends with himself or with other people. Someone needs a mentor in the process of self-recognition and religion. It takes a variety of processes to get to know the religion of Islam, namely with the help of a counselor who provides an understanding that can be accepted by the person so that it becomes a reference in life, then someone who has a calm soul is protected from symptoms of mental disorders. Good religious formation, theoretically will produce good results for humans. Likewise religious guidance for good female prisoners will also give birth to the character of prisoners for themselves and the community. However, the phenomena found are still some of those who were netted in the same case several times, which are clearly prohibited by religious and community norms

Abstract:
Easily captured species provide powerful opportunities to motivate research and conservation action. Conversely, rare and cryptic species with low capture probability can be difficult to study. We examined the capture success of Fiji’s Pteropodidae (Pteropus tonganus, P. samoensis, Notopteris macdonaldi, and Mirimiri acrodonta) and incorporated capture success and associated observations into an assessment of their suitability as umbrella species for conservation. We caught 252 bats from 2493 mist-net-hours in lowland rainforest near Waisali on Vanua Levu, and 38 bats from 1915 mist-net-hours in cloud forest on Taveuni. Of these captures, 67% were N. macdonaldi, 16% P. tonganus, 18% P. samoensis, and <1% M. acrodonta. All species were difficult to net in cloud forest, where we recorded a female sex bias. Capture success was affected by site, season, and net height; peak capture times varied among species and between sites. N. macdonaldi was recaptured most frequently (8.8%), revealing habitual nightly movements. It has strong potential as an umbrella species for rainforest and cave-dwelling organisms of Fiji, and was readily netted. P. tonganus is an unsuitable umbrella species, P. samoensis has potential as an umbrella species, and M. acrodonta has many attributes of a flagship species. Capture efficiency of N. macdonaldi provides opportunities for monitoring and conservation management activities in Fiji. However, variability in capture success among species means that different approaches should be explored for conserving bats effectively with limited resources.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Medical image segmentation is a widely used task in medical image processing. It allows us to receive the location and size of the required instance. Several critical factors should be considered. First, the model should provide an accurate prediction of the mask. Second, the model should not require a lot of computational resources. Finally, the distribution between the false positive and false negative predictions should be considered. We provide the comparative analysis between four deep learning models, base U-Net and its extension U-Net++, TranUNet, and Swin-UNet for lung X-ray segmentation based on trainable parameters, DICE, IoU, Hausdorff Distance, Precision and Recall. CNN models with the smallest number of parameters show the highest DICE and IoU scores than their descendants on the limited-size dataset. Based on the experiment results provided in the article U-Nethas maximum DICE, IoU, and precision. It makes the model the most appropriate for medical image segmentation. SwinU-Net is the model with minimum Hausdorff Distance. U-Net++ has the maximum Recall.

Abstract:
The present systematic review examined the relationship between nutrition knowledge and dietary intake in adults (mean age ≥ 18 years). Relevant databases were searched from the earliest record until November 2012. Search terms included: nutrition; diet or food knowledge and energy intake; feeding behaviour; diet; eating; nutrient or food intake or consumption. Included studies were original research articles that used instruments providing quantitative assessment of both nutrition knowledge and dietary intake and their statistical association. The initial search netted 1 193 393 potentially relevant articles, of which twenty-nine were eligible for inclusion. Most of them were conducted in community populations (n22) with fewer (n7) in athletic populations. Due to the heterogeneity of methods used to assess nutrition knowledge and dietary intake, a meta-analysis was not possible. The majority of the studies (65·5 %: community 63·6 %; athletic 71·4 %) reported significant, positive, but weak (r< 0·5) associations between higher nutrition knowledge and dietary intake, most often a higher intake of fruit and vegetables. However, study quality ranged widely and participant representation from lower socio-economic status was limited, with most participants being tertiary educated and female. Well-designed studies using validated methodologies are needed to clarify the relationship between nutrition knowledge and dietary intake. Diet quality scores or indices that aim to evaluate compliance to dietary guidelines may be particularly valuable for assessing the relationship between nutrition knowledge and dietary intake. Nutrition knowledge is an integral component of health literacy and as low health literacy is associated with poor health outcomes, contemporary, high-quality research is needed to inform community nutrition education and public health policy.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Cyborgs, fembots and posthumans: electronic dance music and the biopolitics of fucking machinesIn the technophilic West, netizens, infomorphs and the audio digerati triumphantly-if-precociously herald this as the dawn of disembodiment. These reality hackers dream in binary code. They yearn to manufacture human-alien hybrids, ethical androids and genetically programmed clones. They already engineer digital soul divas, aural cyborgs, Nintendo's voluptuously overdrawn robo-bimbos, and the supernaturally and surgically perfect bodies purchased at Lasers R' US. They share the meat-hating philosophies of the cyber-protagonists of Neuromancer, Snow Crash and Software. They willingly computerise their passions via text sex, MUD-based gender masquerades, naughty newsgroups, techno-fetishistic video games, virtual reality-based erotic escapades, and pornosonic digital samples. Nonetheless, it seems that for the rest of us to join these intrepid cybernauts in their Age of immaterial Information, our too-solid bodies must first be anaesthetised with utopian visions and sounds of an incorporeal future. So electronic dance music, popular culture and modern science inject the flesh with fantasies of immortality, limitless pleasures, and unadulterated agency. With their tax-funded market research and their potent techno-imaginings, entertainment systems, netters, digital dance music producers, and radically hopeful scientists prepare human matter to be dematerialised and devoured byte by agonising byte. In other words, they passionately fabricate the human-machine hybrid also known as the cyborg, the fembot and the posthuman. These techno-organic entities traverse the space between desire and dread; their indeterminate forms simultaneously destabilise and reconfigure the dualistic limits of liberal humanist subjectivity. Each incarnation plots the feared consequences and perplexing possibilities of boundary transgressions between the human and the machine quite differently.

Abstract:
Consumers are being advised to increase their consumption of fruits and vegetables to reduce their risk of chronic disease. However, to achieve that goal, consumers must be able to implement protocols in their kitchens to reduce their risk of consuming contaminated produce. To address this issue, a study was conducted to monitor the fate of Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Salmonella on produce (cantaloupe, honeydew melon, carrots, and celery) that were subjected to brushing or peeling using common kitchen utensils. Removal of similar levels of Salmonella from carrots was accomplished by peeling and by brushing, but significantly greater removal of E. coli O157:H7 from carrots was accomplished by peeling than by brushing under running water (P &lt; 0.05). Brushing removed significantly fewer pathogens from contaminated cantaloupes than from other produce items (P &lt; 0.05), suggesting that the netted rind provided sites where the pathogen cells could evade the brush bristles. A Sparta polyester brush was less effective than a scouring pad for removing Salmonella from carrots (P &lt; 0.05). In all cases, brushing and peeling failed to eliminate the pathogens from the produce items, which may be the result of contamination of the utensil during use. High incidences of contamination (77 to 92%) were found among peelers used on carrots or celery, the Sparta brush used on carrots, and the scouring pad used on carrots and cantaloupe. Of the utensils investigated, the nylon brush had the lowest incidence of pathogen transference from contaminated produce (0 to 12%). Transfer of pathogens from a potentially contaminated Sparta brush or peeler to uncontaminated carrots did not occur or occurred only on the first of seven carrots processed with the utensil. Therefore, risk of cross-contamination from contaminated utensils to uncontaminated produce may be limited.

Abstract:
TPS4202 Background: Radiolabeled somatostatin analogues provide a means of delivering targeted radiation with a high therapeutic index to NETs that express somatostatin receptors (SSTRs). Radiolabeled somatostatin analogue Lutetium 177 DOTATATE (Lutathera) is a beta-emitting radionuclide, FDA approved for use in SSTR positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEPNETS) in the US based on the NETTER-1 Phase III trial. Despite favorable PFS and safety profile, the drug has limited cytoreductive capability with a 14% ORR. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) also doesn’t seem to be very effective in treating peritoneal disease. We hypothesize that addition of an effective radiation sensitizer could help improve antitumor activity of Lutathera. Radiation is a potent inducer of DNA double-strand breaks, and ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis and repair of DNA, making RNR-targeted therapy a rationale therapeutic strategy for radiosensitization. ETCTN 10388 (NCT04234568) evaluated safety and efficacy of the combination of lutetium 177 DOTATATE, a beta-emitting radionuclide in combination with triapine, a ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) inhibitor. The combination of triapine and Lu-177 DOTATATE was safe with preliminary efficacy signals. Methods: This study is an investigator initiated, NCI sponsored, multicenter randomized phase 2 trial of triapine and lutetium Lu 177 DOTATATE in well-differentiated somatostatin receptor-positive neuroendocrine tumor. A total of 94 patients will be equally randomized to either Lu-177 dotatate or Triapine + Lu-177 dotatate arm. The study will be open through the NCI ETCTN (National Cancer Institute Experimental Therapeutics Clinical Trials Network) program. Triapine will be administered orally from D1-14 with each dose of PRRT [200 mCi]. Primary endpoint is to evaluate overall response rate (ORR). Secondary endpoint is to evaluate median PFS. We are also evaluating triapine PK, plasma deoxyribonucleosides, circulating DNA and plasma hPG80, a novel blood based diagnostic biomarker. Clinical trial information: 05724108.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Background:Physical activity is an important aspect in the management of JIA (1). However physical activity levels are low in this population (2). Limited research has been conducted to identify definitive barriers and facilitators to physical activity in children and adolescents who have JIA.Objectives:The objective of this scoping review was to identify the common barriers and facilitators to physical activity in JIA.Methods:Original studies, either quantitative or qualitative, including participants with a diagnosis of JIA, who were under 18 years of age were included. Two independent reviewers carried out a search of the literature and full text reviews of papers to determine eligibility for inclusion. The Critical Skills Appraisal Programme (CASP), Appraisal tool for Cross-Sectional Studies (AXIS) and Downs and Black critical appraisal tools were used to assess the quality of the included research articles. Results:Eighteen studies were included in the review. The included studies were of a variety of low, moderate and high quality. The synthesis of the data identified pain to be the most common barrier and the modification of physical activities to the need of the individual to be the most common facilitator to physical activity in JIA.Conclusion:Identifying the most common barriers and facilitators to physical activity allows clinicians to apply better management strategies when treating an individual with JIA. Our findings demonstrate the need for further research in this area to assist increasing physical activity participation for children and adolescents who have JIA.References:[1]Kuntze, G., Nesbitt, C., Whittaker, J.L., Nettel-Aguirre, A., Toomey, C., Esau, S., Doyle-Baker, P.K., Shank, J., Brooks, J., Benseler, S., Emery, C.A. Abstract:
Free mechanosensory neuromasts of larval fishes have been described as playing a complementary role to vision in feeding behaviour (Disler, 1971; Iwai, 1972a,b). In certain species or under limited conditions, free neuromasts play a major role in detecting prey. The larvae of mottled sculpin Cottus bairdi can feed on Artemia in the dark by using free neuromasts (Jones and Janssen, 1992). Artificially blinded surface-feeding Aplocheilus lineatus can detect insects on the water surface by means of free neuromasts (Muller and Schwarts, 1982; Tittel et al. 1984; Bleckmann, 1988; Bleckmann et al. 1989). Furthermore, vibrations produced by swimming crustaceans are known to be a potent natural stimulus for the lateral line system in the Antarctic fish Pagothenia borchgrevinki (Montgomery and Macdonald, 1987; Montgomery, 1989). We found that larvae of a plankton feeder, the willow shiner Gnathopogon elongatus caerulescens (Sauvage) (Cypriniformes, Cyprinidae), fed on nauplii of Artemia in complete darkness. Ototoxic compounds, such as streptomycin, have been shown to disturb the function of the lateral line organ or free neuromasts (Kaus, 1987; Blaxter and Fuiman, 1989; Janssen, 1990; Jones and Janssen, 1992). Willow shiner larvae treated with streptomycin sulphate no longer feed on Artemia in the dark (Y. Mukai, in preparation). The willow shiner inhabits calm lakes and feeds on zooplanktonic prey (Nakamura, 1949). The larvae show a high sensitivity to minute water displacements. From these observations and from our findings, it appears that larval willow shiner must feed on zooplankton by using free neuromasts in the dark. In larval willow shiner, the vane-like cupulae of the free neuromasts protrude from the body surface and the long cupulae are 100-250 microm in length (Mukai and Kobayashi, 1991). The prey is detected by the free neuromasts as a result of a slight bending of the cupula in response to local water movements. The shape of the cupula, especially its length, must therefore be related to the sensitivity of the free neuromast, as inferred from the results of Coombs and Janssen (1989) and van Netten and Kroese (1989).

Abstract:
For the urgent need of gas management in high gas and coal and gas herniated mines, liquid CO2 fracturing is used to increase the permeability and promote the pumping treatment of low permeability coal seams. In this paper, we construct the coal deformation and damage model, gas diffusion and seepage model, and coal seam permeability change model; simulate and solve the plastic zone and gas pressure of coal seam after fracturing with the COMSOL Multiphysics software; and set 4 different hole spacing groups of 2 m, 3 m, 4 m, and 5 m and 3 different hole layout methods of single hole, double hole, and net hole to get the best solution for liquid CO2 fracturing. At the same time, the specific effect of liquid CO2 on coal seam fracturing was verified by field experiments using coal seam No. 2 of the 12316 comprehensive mining working face of Wangjialing Coal Mine as the background of the study. The numerical simulation results show that the stress concentration area around the fracturing hole appears in single-hole fracturing, and the coal seam is prone to fatigue damage in this area, but the damage range is limited, and the reduction of gas pressure after fracturing is small; the fracturing effect of double-hole and net-hole fracturing is better than that of single-hole fracturing due to the existence of sufficient critical air surface. After negative pressure extraction, the coal seam gas pressure is positively correlated with the distance from extraction hole to fracturing hole, and the best extraction effect can be seen from the field experimental results with the netted hole layout at the hole distance of 3 m. The field test results show that the pure amount of gas extraction is improved about 4 times after liquid CO2 fracturing, which proves that liquid CO2 fracturing has a better enhancement effect on gas management in low permeability coal seams.

Abstract:
The paper is aimed at filling the gap in learning the formative image peculiarities of the English and American Imagistic poetry by analyzing the correspondence of the internal and the external and their correlation. This is where the answer lies, why T.S. Eliot called Imagism “an opening salvo” of English/ American Modernist poetry. It also explains the reason for a long-term effect of this short-term “school” in the English poetry of the twentieth century. Imagism hasn’t left any extended or profound theory as far as the criteria for producing “hard, dry images” (T.E.Hulme) are concerned. Since then the problem has been under-studied and calls for more in-depth analysis. The modern theoretical background of the paper includes the ideas of S. Averintsev and M. Gasparov, Paul Ricoeur and Gaston Bachelard; the criticism of the Imagism founders (T.E. Hulme and E. Pound) as well as its present-day English and American researchers. The major theoretical points highlight the important features of image transformation in Imagism: the dual (semantic and psychological) nature of an image (P. Ricoeur); loss of its axiological constituent thus forfeiting its wholeness (M. Girshman); its non-permanent essence (G. Bachelard). All these “new” sides underlie too general and vague definition of an image as “an intellectual and emotional complex in an instant of time” given by Ezra Pound, his definitive denial of using images as “ornaments” and the emphasis on the image affiliation with speech, not language. The fight doesn’t have to be limited only to opposing Romanticism (as in Hulme’s “Romanticism and Classicism”). Equally significant and far more sophisticated is the distinction between Symbolic and Imagistic essence of an image (Pound’s “Retrospect” and “Gaudier Brzeska”). For Pound, the main criterion is the receptive potential of an image, its semantic openness which offsets its meaning as finally fixed in some symbol. The paper examines the possibility to apply Roland Barthes’s idea (“L`imagination du signe”, 1962) of the crucial influence of the interior (symbolic) relationship and two exterior (paradigmatic and syntagmatic) relationships on the formation of both single image and the total imagery of a certain type of art conscience – consequently, of Symbolism, Romanticism and Imagism. In the early period of Imagism development (the poetry of F. Flint, E. Storer, to a lesser extent, of T.E. Hulme) the images still preserve the inner affinity with the signified objects (concepts) as seen in Romantic and Symbolic image “patterns”. And throughout Imagism development, this inner affinity is being weakened until a distant outer resemblance is left. It is clearly seen in Hulme’s “Autumn”, Pound’s “In a Station of the Metro”, H.D.’s “Oread”, “Hermes of the Ways” et al. The close reading of the W.C. Williams’s poem “The Red Wheelbarrow” is carried out in front of the “Tall Nettles” by Edward Thomas (1878–1917), his contemporary, who is now considered to be one of the “non-Modernist modern” poets. It is stated that the central image of the red wheelbarrow in its every detail constitutes a modern pastoral while Thomas’s nettles stand for psychological matrix of personal melancholy and despair. Syntagmatic relations also involve the further interaction of signs in the form of “superposition”, forming montage as one of the important Мodernist techniques not only in poetry, but also in Мodernist prose. And it becomes evident that it is not a mechanically borrowed cinema technique, as it is commonly viewed, but a deeper, “syntagmatic” similarity. The result of the research, based on the analysis undertaken, seems to prove its initial point: the poems of T.E. Hulme, Ezra Pound, W. Carlos Williams, Hilda Doolittle (H.D.) taken as models, manifest that the image in Imagism is every time constructed as a new actual syntagma of the common imagination of a poet and a reader to become the unique image for every single poem without its further “universal” use in any virtual paradigm.
