Abstract:
El sistema inmunológico es un mecanismo de defensa altamente exquisito, basado en el reconocimiento de los antígenos (Ag) extraño y propio. Para el estudio de la respuesta inmunológica hay que considerar la interacción celular, desde sus eventos moleculares, el contacto célula-célula a través de receptor-ligando, la producción de moléculas in situ que permiten la comunicación entre el sistema inmunológico, el tejido y todo el organismo. El entendimiento de todos estos mecanismos es necesario para la interpretación de las manifestaciones clínicas y las consideraciones terapéuticas en las diversas patologías a nivel local y sistémico.
