Abstract:
Young adults typically believe that life gets increasingly satisfying over time. We examined the cultural life script as a source of these beliefs. In Study 1 (N = 1244), tabulation of previously published studies indicated that life script events are perceived as becoming increasingly positive over time between the ages of 10 and 30. Further, a specific series of 16 key life script events during this life stage was identified. These results were replicated in Study 2 (N = 100, Mage = 21.14, 51% female) based on young adults‘ perceptions concerning life script events in their personal life stories. Further, the perception that life script events in one's personal life story were becoming increasingly positive over time was linked with more steeply inclining subjective life satisfaction trajectories (i.e. recollected past < current < anticipated future life satisfaction). In Study 3 (N = 261, Mage = 18.5, 93.7% female), manipulating life script event information (number and positivity of events over time) within a personal life story had an additive impact on young adults‘ subjective life satisfaction trajectories. These findings reveal a robust connection between information contained with the cultural life script and the belief that life gets more and more satisfying over time. Abstract:
Some important life events are part of the cultural life script as expected transitional events with culturally sanctioned timing. However, not all personally important events align with the cultural life script, including some events that are widely experienced. Here, we ask whether there are specific characteristics that define the events that become part of a culture’s life script and what role life experience plays. In Experiment 1, younger adults rated life events on different measures tapping central event dimensions in autobiographical memory theories. Cross-culturally extremely frequent cultural life script events consistently received higher ratings than other commonly experienced life story events. Experiment 2 demonstrated that these findings did not interact with age. Both younger and older adults rated the extreme cultural life script events most highly. In addition, older adults rated all types of life events more highly than younger adults, suggesting a greater appreciation of life events overall.

Abstract:
Introduction. The Mongolian script is a prime example of the written culture of Mongols. Over the past 30 years, the Mongolian State and Government have been implementing step-by-step measures to restore and apply the Mongolian script. Goals. The survey study aims to provide an analysis on the content of each event thereto, scope of corresponding activities, and outcomes of those actions — and also identify at what level these orders and decrees are not being implemented, and what should be done to ensure that these measures be fully executed. Materials. The study analyzes decrees, orders and resolutions of the President and the Government of Mongolia. It largely focuses on the ‘National Program for Mongolian Script — I, II, III’ which was conducted by the Government since 1995. Results. The paper shows that the restoration of the national written language is one of the important tasks of the state system in Mongolia. The decree of the Small State Khural (1991) on the introduction of records management in Mongolian script in the country and the corresponding decree of the Great State Khural (1994) on the intensification of work for the implementation of this goal and the development of the National Program for Mongolian Script were of great importance for the restoration of the significance of Mongolian script. In subsequent years, the solution of the tasks was facilitated by decrees of the President of Mongolia on the celebration of the 800th anniversary of Mongolian script (2003) and on the expansion and acceleration of work on the use of Mongolian script (2018). The National Program developed in accordance with the decision of the supreme legislative body has been implemented since 1995 and contains tasks for the transition to the use of two scripts from 2025. But the measures that have been carried out since 1995 at various levels did not provide a sufficient basis for introduction of the two scripts (national Mongolian and Cyrillic ones) into the public life from 2025. However, in 2020, the practice of accelerated learning of the Mongolian script and its application began. At the moment, it is necessary to identify the difficulties that may arise when using two scripts in Mongolia since 2025. Thus, for a quarter of a century, the issue of restoring the status of the national writing system has been consistently resolved.

Abstract:
AbstractThis study tested the hypothesis that trauma memories are disjointed from other autobiographical material in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Assault survivors with (n = 25) and without PTSD (n = 49) completed an autobiographical memory retrieval task during script-driven imagery of (a) the assault and (b) an unrelated negative event. When listening to a taped imagery script of the worst moment of their assault, survivors with PTSD took longer to retrieve unrelated non-traumatic autobiographical information than those without PTSD, but not when listening to a taped script of the worst moment of another negative life event. The groups also did not differ in general retrieval latencies, neither at baseline nor after the imagery tasks. The findings are in line with suggestions that traumatic memories are less integrated with other autobiographical information in trauma survivors with PTSD than in those without PTSD.

This is a narration of the centrality of 9/11 in a Muslim's life, highlighting its continuous presence by drawing connections between the present and the past. Beginning with listening to radios as a teenager, an experience that I shared with my father, this performance script connects the initial reactions to hearing the news on the radio to my experiences in post-9/11 America. It touches on the experiences of having to hide one's religious beliefs so that the students do not perceive their teacher differently. It shows the power of this event and its haunting presence.

Abstract:
This paper aims to analyse Indonesian humorous status in social media by applying the Script Semantic Theory of Humour (SSTH) and the parameters called Knowledge Resources (KRs) of the General Theory of Verbal Humour (GTVH). It is conducted by applying a qualitative method since the purpose of this study is primarily to describe and to establish the variation in a situation, phenomenon, problem, or event without quantifying them. The data is taken from Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp account followed by the first writer of this study for eight months. There are 17 statuses to be analysed, in which, seven statuses consist of 21 phrases analysed by applying SSTH theory, while the other 10 statuses consist of 14 phrases as set-up stages, 18 phrases, and three pictures as punchline stages analysed by applying GTVH theory. From the data being displayed, regarding the Superiority theory, it is found that people generally laugh because of other people’s misfortunes, and it emphasizes one’s superiority to the shortcomings of others. The people will laugh at individuals who are inferior or ugly, because they feel happy, and feel superior to them. Based on Release/Relief theory, humorous status also stems from regenerating something painful into something light-hearted. It is an indication of the misfortunate aspects of life. From the Incongruity theory, it is found that humour appears when there is an oddity between the concepts prepared in certain situations and the real events that are thought to be related to the concept. The paper further elaborates the findings and discuss them in detail.

Abstract:
This essay examines contrasting but complementary narrative and filmic representations of the Guadeloupean resistance to Napoleon's attempt to reimpose a slavery regime in the French colonies. This underrepresented and under-analyzed event, one of landmark importance in the Caribbean tradition of rebellion and self-liberation, focuses our attention more closely on the extended arc of liberatory acts – inscribed in a variety of locations but always espousing the same goal – that mark the identitarian activities of Caribbean slaves almost from the inception of the colonial moment to the act of emancipation. In a large sense, the resistance to Napoleon's invading forces, although ultimately doomed to failure in Guadeloupe, emerged from and was shaped by the specificities of social, economic, and political structures that transformed Guadeloupe during this critical period, and was driven by principles of liberation and self-emancipation emerging from the path adopted by Guadeloupe's governor, Victor Hugues, and the various communities over which he presided. Resistance in Guadeloupe was a fight to preserve a way of life. Analyzing this resistance compels us to acknowledge individual and collective expressions of the idea and practice of freedom that were originally erased by those charged with constructing the colonial script, and draws attention to the still-marginal inscription of these events in contemporary culture.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of the importance, assigned by audiences, of factors such as people, movie features, script, price, promotion, and distribution channels (defined as a movie marketing mix) on the audience’s buying intentions, as well as the impact of their buying intentions on word of mouth (WOM). In addition, the intention is to explore the relationship between the preference and frequency of people’s cultural event attendance with their buying intention and the relationship between people with extroverted personalities and WOM. Design/methodology/approach The data were collected from 904 valid surveys conducted in Beyoglu, one of the important centres for the culture and art life of the Istanbul. Findings The results show that promotion, actor or actress, and diversity of distribution channels have a positive effect on people’s purchase intention. In addition, the frequency of attendance to cultural events can be determinative of the audience and helpful for industry professionals. Originality/value Although there have been a number of studies that examine the simple relationships among some of these variables (movie marketing mix, attendance, purchase intention, WOM, extraversion), there is still a gap in the literature with regard to these variables in an integrated framework. Considering these variables in the same model and analysing the effects of each dimension individually provides a better explanation of consumer purchase intention and post-purchase behaviour in the movie industry. This study extends the previous research by incorporating the concept of movie marketing and consumption by improving the scale with data collected in Istanbul, Turkey.

Abstract:
BackgroundPoor memory of disclosed risks can undermine informed consent and create medicolegal challenges. The extent to which patients remember the risks of peripheral nerve blockade following the informed consent discussion is unknown. This prospective cohort study evaluated patients’ immediate memory of risks related to interscalene block (ISB) that were disclosed during the preoperative informed consent discussion.MethodsUsing a standardized script, patients scheduled for arthroscopic shoulder surgery were informed of the risks of ISB by an anesthesiologist in the preoperative assessment clinic. Immediately thereafter, consenting participants were asked to identify the risks of ISB from a printed list of nine true risks (four major and five minor) and nine ‘distractor’ items, which were unrelated adverse events and not disclosed. The primary outcome was the proportion of participants who remembered all four true major risks including long-term nerve damage, seizure, life-threatening event, and damage to the covering of the lung.ResultsAmong 125 participants, only 26 (21%) remembered all four major risks of ISB. The mean number of major risks remembered was 2±1 out of 4. Fifteen (12%) participants remembered all nine true risks. The mean number of true risks remembered was 6±2 out of 9. Multivariable analysis revealed that participants’ self-rated assessment of their memory was not associated with actual recall.ConclusionPatients have poor immediate memory of the major risks related to ISB disclosed during the informed consent discussion. Under the present study conditions, the validity of the informed consent process for patients undergoing ISB may be undermined.

Abstract:
This article studies radio broadcasts of celebratory demonstrations of workers in 1920-30s as a form of ideological influence on the public consciousness. Audio-culture, as a most wide-reaching and accessible form of mass media, had a significant impact on the audience from 1918 to 1920-30s. Radio played an important role in the solution of ideological tasks, rendering figurative and verbal influence on the masses in the Soviet Union. Explaining and spreading the changes that took place in the life and the politics of the nation, the radio created a unified space of communication. Running commentary as a communication had its rules and limitations, which had developed in the first decades of the Soviet power. Discourse stereotypes had in due course resulted in emergence of a ritualistic form of reporting similar to demonstrations and parades themselves. The genre developing, many clich?s and hackneyed phrase appeared that were to impress propaganda slogans and appeals on the listeners and to inspire emotions. Now these slogans were accessible to everyone, as reproducers were installed in the streets of cities and villages and pervaded communal flats. Event reporting intensified the emotional state of the audience, giving an impression of true popular enthusiasm. In radio reports from official festive events, message of the power inducing socio-political consolidation of the society was obvious. The research analyzes drafts of a radio program script on festive demonstration of November 7, 1939 stored in the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art (Yu. K. Olesha fond). The writer’s notes indicate that the preliminary censorship and self-censorship did not allow for improvisation.

Abstract:
Life scripts are shared cultural expectations about a selected group of events that occur during the life of a common individual in a certain culture. Life scripts are, therefore, normative expectations within a given culture regarding individual life patterns. We conducted a thematic analysis on 2,688 life script events indicated by 384 adults, mostly from the south and southeast regions of Brazil (70.3 women %). Following previous studies, we identified 74 events, or groups of events, common to other cultures; 30 events not mentioned by our participants; and 40 events specifically yielded by our analysis. Results show that first-time events play a special role on life scripts of Brazilians, as well as contents such as attending political events and post-graduate education. Methodological considerations on the qualitative analyses required to identify life events are discussed. Future studies may investigate prevalence, importance, valence, and gender and age differences with Brazilian participants. This study will look at how the Minangkabau traditional theater analyzed the frame of discourse studies and raised its moral message. The method is qualitative analysis with literature and field research. From the results of literature and field found that discourse that appears in theater scripts such as ceremonies, rituals, stories, or entertainment is an act of speech or events. As a cultural index, the language in the Minangkabau theater script also reveals the way of thinking and organizing the experience of its speakers which in certain fields appear in lexical items and as symbolic language culture indicates ethnic cultural identity.

Throughout the world, there are 39 million blind people. They face issues in their day-to-day life, be it accessing any written script or even recognising their knowns. The proposed system helps them to recognise people (using face recognition), detect any obstacle in the path (thus providing an ease in their day-to-day life), and convert textual scripts into audio signals (text detection) that are provided to the blind person with the help of a microphone. A RPi camera is used to collect all the visuals and RASPBERRY PI 4Bboard. The conventionally used braille system of reading is not very efficient and also all textual scripts are not available in braille language. Therefore, this device can be a great assistance to a blind person as it is low weight, economical and efficient.

Abstract:
81 Background: Death in the ICU is an extraordinarily stressful event. Qualitative and quantitative studies have identified effective communication between caregivers and families to be important throughout the decision making process. In many ICUs, the end-of-life family conference is an opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and confront painful emotions with the help of compassionate professionals. Methods: A prospective study in a single ICU center. The ICU physician, palliative care team, and research nurse interviewed surrogate decision makers. The only criterion for inclusion in the study was anticipated death in one year. Patients younger than 18 were excluded from the study, as were those unable to speak English. Prior to the family meeting, families were offered an opportunity to watch a video on EOL decision-making made by the research team. The meeting itself followed a script, guided by four steps:establish diagnosis, share prognosis, elicit goals of care, recommend treatment. The investigators recorded ICU and patient characteristics on standardized forms. Results: 22 families were included. A decision to forego life-sustaining treatment and transition to comfort care or hospice was pursued by 77% of families. There were few non-beneficial interventions, such as CRRT or use of artificial nutrition; withdrawal of mechanical ventilation and vasopressors was common. Qualitative commentary suggested that time spent by providers were sufficient and the video support tool was clear and easy to understand. Conclusions: EOL family conferences improve communication between ICU staff and family members and assist families in decision making, especially for cancer syndromes. The structured family meetings offered opportunities to discuss patient’s wishes, alleviate feelings of guilt, and understand the goals of care. Patients received few non-beneficial treatments and families were likely to accept realistic goals of care. This highlights the potential role for video-support tools in advance care planning. Future studies reporting overall LOS and bereavement data are important quality markers and pending in a future report.

Abstract:
The purpose of our research is the work of the great symbolist poet of the Silver Age K.D. Balmont through the prism of the culture of Islam. The topic of the culture of Islam in the poet's work has been little studied, which is the relevance of this study. Islam is a traditional religion and the cultural and spiritual life of a Muslim is inextricably linked with Islam. All literature, architecture, science, philosophy of Muslims is based on the teachings of Islam and its holy book the Koran. K.D. Balmont became interested in Arabic and translations of the Koran, melodic Arabic script. Subsequently, his essays, poems and travel notes will be filled with religious and cultural images. The methodology of the work is based on synchronic, structural and functional, biographical, historical and cultural methods. The novelty of the article lies in a new look at the work of K.D. Balmont within the framework of the culture of Islam. In the course of our work, we examined Balmont's religious poems of 12 suras: "I swear", "Merciful", "Great News", "Blow", "Oh, Prophet", "Rich People", "Trumpet sound", "Then", "Smoke", "Al-Hotama", "Event", "Don't forget." There were also many translations from Arabic, travel notes, essays, and the epistolary legacy of Balmont. The poet traveled a lot and visited Muslim countries, made translations from Arabic, wrote essays and travel notes about the culture of Islam. As a result, the main conclusions of the study were formulated, the culture of Islam was shown, the religious poems of K.D. Balmont were studied, and further prospects for studying this problem were outlined.

Abstract:
Salesperson effectiveness in customer interaction is evaluated from a script-theoretic perspective. Differences in salesperson performance are traced to differences in knowledge of the actions and events across and within sales situations and the salesperson's ability to abstract from relevant previous experience. Results of two experiments conducted in an insurance context indicate that, as hypothesized, high effective salespeople provided more elaborate, distinctive, contingent, and hypothetical scripts than low effective salespeople. Moreover, these effects were accentuated in less typical sales situations, as suggested by results in the homeowner's insurance but not the life insurance experiment. Theoretical, methodological, and managerial implications of the findings are discussed.

Abstract:
The article examines the phenomenon of Russian film drama, which is expressed in violation of the traditional principles of action development. The script structure of films about the superfluous person that appeared in the era of late stagnation in the late 1970s - mid-1980s lacks the usual set of elements of the hero's path, the actions he takes or, according to V. Propp, functions that open up the opportunity for this hero, after passing tests of initiation, to change essentially. Numerous actions and conflicts of the heroes of such films as Vacation in September by V. Melnichenko or Flights in a dream and in reality by R. Balayan, evoking an emotional response from the viewer, do not lead to the transformation of the inner world of the hero, and at the level of drama, to the construction action, character arch development. The heirs of the superfluous people of the Russian classical literature, possessing powerful reflection, are not able to accept social values, identify with the categories of the group, or shape their own models of identity. This position of being outside, defining the dramatic paradox of films about the superfluous people (the emotional involvement of the viewer in the absence of an event canvas, narrative as a logically connected set of actions leading the hero to gain a new status through overcoming obstacles) is explained by the zero level of identity. A look at the personality structure of the superfluous people through the prism of E. Erickson's theory of ego-identity formation and our theory of identity development (V.A. Kolotaev, E.V. Ulybina) allows us to say that the heroes have not gone through any of the stages of identity evolution. They have not gone through any of the normative crises of the life cycle history, and it is precisely the zero degree of identity that determines the paradoxical form of the hero's trajectory, the path without actions.

A cross-sectional study performed in a Moscow hospital for addiction treatment (2019—2020) tested a hypothesis that the capacity to reflect on a life script exert¬ed a positive effect on alcohol dependence (AD) remission duration. The sample included 61 males with AD and without dual diagnosis; the mean age was 44.1 (SD = 10.1) years. Methods. (1) Socio-demographic and clinical data was collected using a semi-structured therapeutic interview. (2) Explicit representations of one’s future were evaluated using a Self-defining Future Projections task; “Life Line”, and a “Cultural script” task. (3) Data on life script characteristics was gathered using the semi-structured “Script Questionnaire”. Qualitative data was processed by means of quantitative content analysis performed by experts based on relevant guidelines. Effects of verbalized life script characteristics on several remission parameters were assessed using multiple linear regression. Results and Conclusions. People with AD who were capable of verbalizing and reflecting on long-term, self-relevant repre¬sentations of the future related to the basic beliefs about their own life course, were capable of maintaining longer remissions in contrast to those who failed to reflect on these topics and limited their memories and future projections by overgeneral cultural script events.

Balinese script is a traditional script originating from Bali. To maintain sustainability, formal education in schools through Balinese language subjects is one if many ways to maintain it. Apart from studying at school, it would be even better if Balinese script learning could be done outside of school by appealing to the concept of learning. One way to create interesting learning is through application games. Making a Balinese script writing application aims to help students learn Balinese script by implementing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Black Box testing of making Balinese script writing applications. Making the application is expected to be one of the media that can assist students in learning Balinese script.

Abstract:
The narrative organization of Propertius' first poetry-book seems to encourage a practice of reading the characters and events of his love elegy as real. The predominantly autobiographical mode allows the reader to equate the lover of the text with the author Propertius. Direct addresses to a beloved ‘Cynthia’ who is allocated physical and psychological characteristics suggest that the narrative's female subject has a life outside the text as Propertius' mistress. The illusion of a real world populated by real individuals is then sustained by various other formal mechanisms such as the regular deployment of addresses to the historically verifiable figure of Tullus or occasional references to the landscape of Baiae, Umbria and Rome. Having established a recognizable setting, the poetry-book seems even to account for its own existence as literary discourse with the claim that composition is a method of courtship. Writing is subsumed within and subordinated to an erotic scheme: Propertius writes to woo a woman.

Twin studies provide the opportunity to determine whether such abnormalities reflect familial vulnerabilities, result from trauma exposure, or are acquired characteristics of PTSD.MethodsIn this case–control twin study, 26 male identical twin pairs (12 PTSD; 14 non-PTSD) discordant for PTSD and combat exposure recalled and imagined trauma-unrelated stressful and neutral life events using a standard script-driven imagery paradigm during functional magnetic resonance imaging and concurrent skin conductance measurement.ResultsDiminished activation in the medial prefrontal cortex during Stressful v. Neutral script-driven imagery was observed in the individuals with PTSD, relative to other groups.ConclusionsDiminished medial prefrontal cortex activation during Stressful v. Neutral script-driven imagery may be an acquired characteristic of PTSD. If replicated, this finding could be used prospectively to inform diagnosis and the assessment of treatment response.

Abstract:
Abstract The reminiscence bump is a well-documented autobiographical memory phenomenon characterized by middle-aged and older adults reporting a disproportionate number of memories from adolescence and early adulthood (Rubin, Wetzler, & Nebes, 1986). It is typically assessed through either cue word or important memory techniques. The Life History Mail Survey (LHMS) in the Health and Retirement Study affords unique data to investigate this phenomenon among a representative US sample of older adults. At the beginning of the LHMS, participants (N=3088, M age=70, range 50-107) completed a calendar noting the important things that happened to them in seven life decades, starting with ages 0-9 and ending by ages 70-79 (or their actual age). For each life period, we coded the number of events respondents reported. We observed significantly more memories reported for the age decade 20-29, compared with other life periods (80% vs 47-66%). Our results are consistent with previous findings in the autobiographical memory literature. Follow-up analyses evaluated existing theoretical accounts of the bump, such as cultural life script theory which suggests that life events occur in a specific order and are characterized by a prototypical life course. For example, we determined whether respondents’ sociodemographic characteristics, such as age cohort, gender, marital and educational histories (information available in LHMS) influenced the size and temporal location of the reminiscence bump. We also analyzed the content of reported important life events to investigate whether types of events included in each decade of life are consistent with the cultural life script account of the phenomenon.

It proposes a problem of question about the schemas and scripts on his religious language understanding and interpreting. The method which applied on this study is the qualitative method, so, the narrative approach is elected as it approach. In addition, the result of this study propose some significant discussion such as in the schema aspect, there are semantical problem especially in the comprehend of the word jihad, muhajir, and syahid. The second is understanding the setting. Ali Imron’s limited knowledge makes him difficult in comprehend of the social situation which lead him to the battlefield in Afghanistan. The third is his mood. The mood is significant in constructed of his view to the real situation and to the language comprehension. The fourth is the chain of events. This part is the accumulation of his understanding on religious language, setting, and mood which incorporate with his real life situation. Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to reveal the causes of national and cultural identity crisis of Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period of Austro-Hungarian occupation and annexation, which led to modifications of their self-identity. The paper meets this research aim through an extensive study of the relevant literature presenting the views of Serbian and Russian scholars. On the basis of comparative-historical and socio-cultural approaches, the authors collate the existing definitions of ethnic, national and cultural identity and define the crucial factors that make the cornerstone of cultural identity: mother tongue, ethnicity, territory, religion, habitat, food, mode of life, customs and traditions, folklore and literature, artwork and historical past. They go on to chronologically identify the developments and changes of society on the territory of the present-day Bosnian state. The article further analyzes the position of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina within Austria-Hungary comparing their status in society and explains the choice of Bosnian Muslims and Croats as the pillar of the new government. The research produced a number of key findings. The key determinants that formed and helped to preserve Serbian cultural identity through ages are Orthodox Christianity based on St. Sava sacred tradition and the Kosovo myth, a half-historical, halflegendary event that formed the heroic and spiritual code of values and serves as a gospel in preserving Serbian cultural identity. Another feature that produced a significant impact on transforming cultural identity of Bosnian Serbs was conversion to Islam on part of some Bosnians who came to be known as Bošnjaks. Along with Islam and Orthodox Christianity, part of the Serbian population of Bosnia and Herzegovina belonged to the Roman Catholic Church, identified themselves as Croats who spoke Croatian and used Latin script. Thus the indigenous south Slavonic ethnic group of Serbs who had the same historical background and spoke the same language was divided by religion and, partially, the language — the pivotal determinants of identity. The paper demonstrates the joint efforts of the peoples inhabiting the present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina in their struggle against the occupants which were manifested in the activities of Young Bosnia, an organization that aimed at preserving national identity and creating a united Serbian state. The authors conclude that the problem of national and cultural identity crisis of Bosnia and Herzegovina Serbs finds its roots in the historical clash of three civilizations and cultures — south Slavonic, oriental and western. The article identifies the markers of national and cultural identity of Bosnia and Herzegovina Serbs, the disintegration of which led to a crisis.

According to the concept of the Life Script, developed by Eric Berne, the fate of each individual is sketched in the early years of life. The subdivision of Child Ego State, known as Adult in the Child or Little Professor, is responsible for decoding the world throughout intuition and analogical thought and, thus, in one way or another, having physical and emotional survival guaranteed. The purpose of this article is to qualify and recognise the Adult in the Child and its relevance in the construction of personality trait, by studying the anatomical, physiological and emotional scenario in which the Adult in the Child develops itself. The author suggests that the peculiar stamina and wisdom held in the Adult in the Child may be present in adult life in a positive manner, even if the events that structured it were dramatic.

Abstract:
Optical Character Recognition has been an inseparable part of human life during everyday transactions. The OCR has extended its application areas in almost all fields viz. healthcare, finance, banking, entertainment, trading system, digital storage, and so on. In the recent past, handwriting recognition is one of the hardest study areas in the area of image processing. In this paper, the various techniques for converting textual content from number plates, printed, handwritten paper documents into machine code have been discussed. The transforming method used in all these techniques is known as OCR. The English OCR system is necessary for the conversion of various published books and other documents in English into human editable computer text files. The latest researches in this area have included methodologies that identify different fonts and styles of English handwritten scripts. As of date, even though a number of algorithms are available, it has its own pros and cons. Since the recognition of different styles and fonts in machine-printed and handwritten English script is the biggest challenge, this field is open for researchers to implement new algorithms that would overcome the deficiencies of its predecessors.

Another issue is how the form of absurdism in this drama text ?. This research utilizes a hermeneutic approach. Data were collected using reading technique and record technique. There are two sources of data in this study, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. The primary data source in this research is the drama of No Drawing Well by Arifin C.Noer. The data contained in this research are words, phrases, clauses, or phrases in the drama dialogue of the Unfounded Wells by Arifin C.Noer which allegedly contains markers of drama absurdism. The data were analyzed using hermeneutic readings. Then presented in the form of a neatly arranged and systematic report. The forms of absurdism in this text lie in the following points. First, this drama uses the myth as a source of storytelling. Secondly, in this drama script also occur events outside the logic that utilize the human subconscious. The story of human life or figure in the drama script is oscillated in uncertainty. Third, the storyline in the drama script STD contains events that can still trace the plot. The existence of God still appears in this drama script. The traces of God's power also appear to be intertwined in several dialogues.

Although Catholic monasteries are theoretically out of the world, monks and nuns more and more use the internet, both for religious and non-religious reasons. While society at large often takes it for granted that monks are out of modernity, monastic communities have been adopted media from relatively early on, and we cannot say that they have come late to its use. The internet can offer monasteries a lot of advantages because it allows monks to be in the world without going out of the cloister. Nevertheless, the introduction of this new media in monasteries also raises a lot of questions about the potential contradictions it poses with other aspects of monastic life. The paper seeks to research the use of the medium by monks and nuns even in their daily lives, and attempts especially to investigate the potential changes it brings to monastic life.

Abstract:
The author analyses the specifics of writing a script for a television documentary drama (hereinafter referred to as docudrama), which combines the characteristics of the feature and documentary films. The article points out that many books have been written about the rules of scriptwriting for a feature film. However, there is no literature on the art of scriptwriting for a docudrama despite the fact that there are numerous docudramas being created worldwide. The opinion is given that the mastery of the docudrama scriptwriting is in choosing the most interesting and paradoxical moments in a hero’s life and showing his or her character through the resistance to life challenges: how the hero overcomes them, the motivation behind their actions and why a particular choice is being made. While in feature films the narrative is presented through action and actors’ performances, the article emphasises that docudramas explain the hero’s motivations through an additional figure such as an expert or coparticipant in the events. While the difficult moments in the hero’s life and their overcoming are usually depicted through the staged episodes, an exploration into the hero’s character is supported by historical documents, a chronicle or other genuine historical sources. Docudrama is inherently narrative and the author investigates how the best practices of television journalism are used in scriptwriting, in addition to the cinema laws that are used in creating an image. The author explores the methodology of the docudrama scriptwriting in the project “Countdown” (“Vladimir Bokun’s Workshop”,Belarus) as an example.

Full text
Abstract:
Mark Veniaminovich Karminskyi (1930–1995) is a composer who, already during his lifetime, was appreciated by his contemporaries as the brightest figure in musical art, in particular, musical theater. Well-known in the country and his native Kharkiv, he was also the constant reader of the Kharkiv ‘K. Stanislavskyi’ Music and Theater Library for many years, taking part in many events that took place within its walls. An excellent lecturer and interlocutor, benevolent and affable person, he found an attentive audience and ardent admirers of his musical talent among the library’s readers and stuff. Perhaps, this is why M. Karminskyi chose the Library as the main curator of his archive. What is better than studying the artist’s personal archive to give an idea of his personality, creative methods and worldview? Even a cursory glance at the collection of documents classified on the shelves of the archive, illustrating particular biographical episodes, helps the researcher to form a holistic impression of the artist’s creative personality, as well as to orient, if necessary, for further more depth studying of his heritage. The purpose of this article is a brief review of the general content of the archival fund of M. V. Karminskyi, with the materials of which the author had the honor to conduct research and bibliographic work, as of a documentary sources base for future research of the composer’s work and the history of the musical culture of Kharkiv in 1950–2000 years. Statement of the main positions of the publication. The composer began to transfer his archive to the library during his lifetime: he arranged folders with manuscripts, gave explanations about the time of writing and purpose of individual works. It was this archive that was the first to get into the library as a full-fledged array of documents about the life of a creative person. The condition for its transfer was the possibility of unimpeded viewing of the archive and its copying for the purpose of training and concert performance of the composer’s works. The full description of M. Karminskyi’s archive was completed in 1996, but the fund was supplemented several times thanks to new materials that came to the archival collection after its formation. It contains a variety of documents, including musical manuscripts, newspaper clippings, photographic documents, sound recordings on various media, posters, booklets, programs, manuscripts by other authors related to the activities of the composer. Thus, for the theater – opera, drama – the composer has been actively working since a young age. He wrote music for performances of Kharkiv theaters – Puppet Theater, Young Audience Theater, Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Taras Shevchenko, Jewish Theater, even for student amateur theaters. Four operas by M. Karminskyi, among them – “Ten days that shook the world”, “Irkutsk story” – were successfully staged in many theaters in Ukraine, Russia, the Czech Republic and Germany. Particular attention was drawn to the opera “Ten Days That Shook the World” based on John Reed’s book about the events in Petrograd in 1917, which was published as the separate piano reduction and received a large number of reviews in periodicals. The typewritten copies of reviews by famous Ukrainian musicologists K. Heivandova and I. Zolotovytska have been preserved in the archive. The collection of the archive also includes the published piano score of the opera “Irkutsk story”, the known “Waltz” from which served as a call sign of the Kharkiv Regional Radio for many years. One of the most interesting manuscripts of the archive is the music for the unfinished ballet “Rembrandt” on the libretto by V. Dubrovskyi. The musical “Robin Hood”, which was performed not only in Kharkiv, but also in Moscow, brought the composer national fame. The sound recording of the Moscow play was distributed thanks to the release of gramophone records created with the participation of stars of Soviet stage – the singers Joseph Kobzon, Lev Leshchenko, Valentina Tolkunova and the famous actor Eugene Leonov. The popularity of this musical was phenomenal; excerpts from it were performed even in children’s music schools, as evidenced by the archival documents. During the composer’s life and after his death, his vocal and choral works, works for various instruments were mostly published. The array of these musical editions and manuscripts of M. Karminskyi is arranged in the archive by musical genres. These are piano pieces and other instrumental works, among them is one of the most popular opuses of the composer – “Jewish Prayer” for solo violin (the first performer – Honored Artist of Ukraine Hryhoriy Kuperman). Number a large of publications about the life and career of M. Karminskyi published in books and periodicals are collected, among them are K. Heivandova’s book (1981) “Mark Karminskyi”, the brief collection of memoirs about the composer (compiler – H. Hansburg, 2000) and the congregation of booklets of various festivals and competitions, for example, the booklets of the International Music Festival “Kharkiv Assemblies”, in which the composer has participated since the day of their founding. The booklet of the M. Karminskyi Choral Music Festival testifies to a unique phenomenon in the musical life of the city: never before or since has such a large-scale event dedicated to the work of a single person taken place attracting so many choirs from all Ukraine. A separate array of documents is the photo archive, which includes 136 portraits, photos from various events; 41 of them were donated by a famous Kharkiv photographer Yu. L. Shcherbinin. The audio-video archive of M. V. Karminskyi consists of records of his works, released by the company “Melody”: staging of performances “Robin Hood”, “There are musketeers!” (based on the play by M. Svetlov “20 years later”), various songs, video and tape cassettes with recordings of concerts. Other interesting documents have been preserved, for example, a typewritten script for the Kharkiv TV program about M. Karminskyi with his own participation or the library form, which can be used to trace his preferences as a reader. M. Karminskyi also compiled reviews of publications on the performance of his works and short bibliographic descriptions of their print editions. Conclusions. M. Karminskyi’s personal archive founded by him own in Kharkiv ‘K. S. Stanislavskyi’ Music and Theater Library has been functioning as an independent library fund since 1996 and today it is an unique comprehensive ordered collection, which is freely available and stores documents of various types: music publications and manuscripts, newspaper and magazine fragments, announces, photos, sound and video documents. M. Karminskyi’s archival fund is used as a documentary source for scientific researches (the Candidate’s dissertations of art critics Yu. Ivanova (2001) and E. Kushchova (2004) were defended using the materials of the archive) and as a basic congregation of works by the composer for their performance. The use of digital technologies is part of the necessary modern perspective of the fund’s development, the value of which as a primary source of historical and cultural information only grows over time.

Abstract:
Being well read in philosophy, Samuel Beckett was familiar with George Berkeley’s works and his concept of esse est percipi which was the foundation for the philosopher’s immaterialism and spiritualism. The great Irish artist used this idea to propagate quite different ideas. In his novels and plays the idea of being seen, and heard, is, in fact, closer to Martin Buber’s notion of the need for the other than to the Bishop’s understanding of the concept. In his only script, Film, Beckett presents a vision diametrically different from that of the bishop-philosopher. Focusing on life which, as he argued in the essay Proust, is an “expiation for the eternal sin of having been born,” the playwright states that even though the main protagonist desperately avoids being seen by people or even animals, he still exists. The idea is clearly specified in the introductory note to the script written by Beckett: “All extraneous perception suppressed, animal, human, divine, self perception remains in being.”

Abstract:
In recent years, the thesis about a fundamental shift in Western religiosity has become increasingly prominent in the scientific study of religion. Many new phenomena of today’s religious scene are seen as the manifestation of a resacralization/re-enchantment of the world, or even of spirituality/a spiritual revolution. The new religious world view that is taking shape presupposes an essential oneness of microcosm and macrocosm and a presence of the divine in man and in the world. The radical distinction between the temporal and supernatural worlds disappears, which seems to herald the advent of a new type of spirituality based on the idea of immanence. This new ‘all-inclusive spirituality’ has many forms of expression and is concerned with ‘the sacredness of life, nature and the universe’ and ‘all pathways that lead to meaning and purpose’. This ‘subjective turn’ means ‘a turn away from life lived in terms of external or “objective” roles, duties and obligations, and a turn towards life lived by reference to one’s own subjective experiences (relational as much as individualistic)’. All the above-mentioned explanatory frameworks to a certain extent employ the concept of individualization. This presentation examines the the concept of individualization as an approach for the understanding of today’s religious scene.

Abstract:
How does the popular correspond to the grand terms of the title? Are not mysticism and spirituality something very exclusive, reserved for a few individuals? No they are not, as this presentation of both the author's own studies and the research of others will provide a different picture of these two concepts. Mysticism and spirituality are notions that are very difficult to define. Traditionally mysticism has been regarded as a way to reach the inner dimensions of human life, dimensions where man even achieves unity with the Divine Being. Such traditions have been found in all the major religions, and since the times of William James a hundred years ago, the features of mysticism in various religions have been analysed. Spirituality is a concept that can hold various meanings. It has often been associated with religious traditions where inner life and its growth are emphasized. These include, in particular, various schools, orders and movements that aim at cultivating a deeper spiritual life. In its more recent use, the term spirituality has, to a fairly large extent, been dissociated from religion and has become a notion that seeks to grasp the searching of modern man for ethics and norms in a globalised world, where pollution is accelerating and where stress and entertainment disrupt the inner harmony of people.

Abstract:
The roots of the Laestadian movement have been sought by theological scholars principally in Lars Levi Laestadius' own experiences and in those religious movements that influenced and continue to influence people in the area of his ministry. Among such movements mention may be made of Readers, the Wiklund movement and Herrnhutism. The Saami aspect has almost entirely been neglected. Nevertheless, it would be natural to include this aspect in studying Laestadianism when examining the phenomena occurring within a certain people's region. The roots of the Laestadian movement is found in an earlier local movement, a religious movement that had flourished in the Kautokeino region quite a long time before, in about 1765, called the Čuorvvot, the shouting callers. Even after the movement had passed its peak, its influence among the people was considerable and both the Čuorvvot themselves and those who had turned to a better life through their influence continued to make an impact on religious life about the turn of the century. In looking for the roots of Laestadianism it is not possible to ignore the Čuorvvot and the groundwork it did when studying the reasons for the rapid spread of the Laestadian sermon and the Laestadian movement. The Čuorvvot, the shouting callers, the most Christian of the Saamis obviously smoothed the way for Laestadianism and made it possible for its wildfire spread. The most striking similarity was the absolute, public sermon of the law and repentance, criticism. It was present in Laestadius' sermons even before his conversion.

Abstract:
The aim of the paper: to introduce the possibility of memoirs research in terms of autobiographical nar-rative at a specific historic period of the first quarter of the 20th century. Knowing particular person life in the context of his historical existence is important for understanding of philosophical, sociological and psychological aspects of historical events. Memoirs and autobiography have common features and dif-ferences as ways of understanding social reality. An autobiography generally provides the solid narration of author’s life, whereas memoirs highlight and de-scribe significant personality formation event, which had an impact on formation of a person. The main event of Prince Yousupov’s memoirs as assassina-tion of Grigory Rasputin is defined by Prince’s own life. The study provides the analysis of Felix Yusupov’s memoirs as autobiographical narrative experience. The scientific novelty of the study re-sults from the statement that exploring memoirs as fact of particular person life one can expand and enhance knowledge of the social reality context and the entire historic epoch. The results of the research show common and distinctive features of autobiog-raphy prose and memoirs: represent analyses of Felix Yusupov’s “Memoirs” as autobiographical nar-rative experience.

Abstract:
Abstract Previous research has demonstrated that patients express a desire to discuss advance care planning (ACP). ACP has been associated with numerous positive outcomes including improved patient satisfaction, improved quality of life in terminal illness, and better psychological outcomes. Additionally, ACP has been related to peace of mind that wishes will be followed, less hospital re-admissions, and less use of extreme treatments close to death. Furthermore, it has been linked to increased use of hospice and palliative care and increased concordance between preferred care and the care delivered. However, despite the documented benefit of ACP, these conversations often do not occur due to discomfort with the topic or are communicated inadequately. Documentation rates of ACP in oncology patients have been as low as 10%, with rates of documentation increasing between 30-40% in intervention studies. Specific to women with metastatic breast cancer (MBC), one study found that 66% had written advance directives, but providers were only aware of these in 14% of the cases. Thus, the present study aimed to examine the effectiveness of an online Advance Care Appointment Companion (ACAC) decision-support tool to improve ACP communication between MBC patients and their oncologist and increase completion rates of ACP documents. Data were collected from 68 patients with MBC during their medical oncology appointments (Time 1) and three months later (Time 2) at the Koontz Center for Advanced Breast Cancer. At their Time 1 clinic visit, patients were introduced to and enrolled on the ACAC platform and then completed questions in the clinic or at home about completion status of a healthcare directive and durable power of attorney (DPOA) for healthcare, comfort in discussing ACP with their care team and loved ones, goals of care at end of life, and discussion topics about ACP for upcoming visits. A summary of these responses with a provider prompt script was securely sent to the oncologist prior to each subsequent appointment over the three-month study period. The oncologist used this summary and scripting to help navigate ACP conversations during each appointment. Descriptive statistics and McNemar’s test were conducted to examine changes in rates of ACP document completion and patient reported levels of comfort in discussing ACP. Majority of the sample was female (n=68, 100%), white (n=57, 84%), married (n=36, 53%), with a mean age of 64 years. At baseline, 41% of patients reported having a completed healthcare directive and 49% reported having a completed DPOA for healthcare, but only 12% had a healthcare directive and 24% had a DPOA in their electronic medical record (EMR). To-date, 35% (n=24) have a healthcare directive and 47% (n=32) have a notarized DPOA in their EMR; McNemar’s test showed a significant increase in the proportion of patients who completed ACP documents at Time 2 (p< .001). At baseline, 74% of patients reported feeling comfortable discussing ACP with their care team and 69% reported feeling comfortable discussing ACP with their loved ones. Of note, 35% reported that they were unsure if they would want artificial nutrition, 37% reported they were unsure if they would want dialysis, and 37% reported that they were unsure if they would want resuscitation in the event that their heart stops. On average, ACP conversations during medical appointments took 5 minutes to discuss. Preliminary results suggest that the ACAC is an effective tool to facilitate discussion about ACP, resulting in significantly increased completed ACP documents in patient’s medical records. Assessment of patient-reported outcomes on comfort with discussing ACP and goals of care at Time 2 is ongoing. Results also revealed the potential for this tool to help foster communication about the intricacies of ACP as a large portion of patients reported that they were unsure about decisions that need to be made about end of life care.
