Abstract:
AbstractAlciato's Parergon iuris libri duodecim belongs to the tradition of humanist notebooks which begins with Valla's Elegantiae and finds its most important representative in Poliziano's Miscellanea. It purports to provide explanations of difficulties found in the Corpus iuris civilis based on Alciato's reading in non-legal texts. However, it is apparent that he is also seeking to demonstrate his competence in the emendation and explication of these literary and historical texts. The remarks he is led to make about "grammatici" and "rhetores" are revealing of his personal attitudes and symptomatic of the evolution of attitudes in the world of education.

La già ricca dialettologia italiana, che vanta tante ricerche, studi, riviste, atlanti e altri sussidi ancora, si è arricchita recentemente del volume miscellaneo qui recensito. Con le parole del curatore (p. V), questa Nuova raccolta è la continuazione del primo volume, edito nel 1993 [Raccolta di saggi lessicali in area veneta e alpina, Belluno]: infatti, alcuni autori dichiarano che i loro contributi si riconnettono a quelli di due anni fa. Alla Presentazione (pp. V-VI, non 1 come stampato nel sommario, p. VII) seguono dieci contributi di varia lunghezza. In cake si trova la cartina Toponomastica alto-ate­ sina (p. 258), l'elenco dei toponimi prediali in -anum in Alto Adige, da coHegarsi pro­ babilmente con ilprimo contributo (p. 259) e, fuori paginazione, la carta dell' Alto Veneta (Provincia Belluno-Cadore ). Abstract Salamanca, University Library, MS 1877 (1469–1470) is a miscellany made up of genetically independent works, all in Castilian: the Fuero real by Alfonso X; a translation of the Barlaam et Josaphat; sayings of the desert fathers taken from the Vitae patrum of Pelagius and John; a translation of John of Rupescissa’s Vade mecum in tribulatione; segments of three French Arthurian romances (Libro de Josep Abarimatia, Estoria de Merlín and Lançarote); a short catechism with no known direct source. But it is also miscellaneous because, as usually occurs in these compilations, the collected works belong to different textual genres: code of law; oriental didactic literature; hagiographic and apocalyptic discourses; Arthurian romance; catechetical compendium. Taking materialist philology as a theoretical framework, this article will propose a unitary reading of the manuscript from the hypothesis that among its dissimilar components there are semantic ties that give it a specific coherence and meaning. We will claim that the codex explores a series of exemplary variations destined to reprove the excess of irascible (saña) and concupiscible (codicia) appetites that those who dedicate themselves to active life tend to experience against the virtues of justice and prudence that are essential to access contemplative life.

Riassunto: La recente pubblicazione in Italia della traduzione de La llegenda del llibreter assassí di Ramon Miquel i Planas offre lo spunto per un confronto con alcune precedenti traduzioni in castigliano e per una breve riflessione di metodo sulla traduzione. Le due versioni spagnole (1991 e 2011) si configurano infatti, a differenza di quella italiana, come libere rielaborazioni dell’originale dal momento che ne alterano la struttura, trasformando il testo e piegandolo a nuove finalità. L’elemento di interesse di questa «manipolazione» risiede nel fatto che essa è in qualche modo autorizzata dalla stessa natura miscellanea dell’opera di Miquel i Planas, al contempo libro erudito e antologia di materiali narrativi diversi, e dalle variegate forme di trasmissione dei materiali leggendari raccolti dallo studioso catalano. Le versioni della Llegenda consentono così d’iscrivere la riflessione sul tradurre nell’ambito della ricezione e dell’influsso esercitato dalla tradizione di un testo sulle sue modalità di traduzione. Parole chiave: Miquel i Planas; traduzione; rifacimento; tradizione Abstract: The recent publication of the Italian translation of La llegenda del llibreter assassí by Ramon Miquel i Planas provides an opportunity to make a comparison with some previous Spanish translations and to reflect briefly on translation methods. The two Spanish versions (1991 and 2011), unlike the Italian one, are free reworkings of the original, in the sense that they alter the structure, transform the text and shape it to new ends. What is interesting about this «manipulation» is that it is in some way legitimised by the heterogeneous nature of Miquel i Planas’s work, which is both an erudite volume and an anthology of different narrative materials, as well as by the varied ways in which the Catalan scholar handles materials relating to legends. The versions of Llegenda thus permit the inclusion of this reflection on translation in the sphere of the reception of a text and of the influence exerted by the tradition surrounding a text on the ways it is translated. La tesi è uno studio sulla circolazione del "De ingenuis moribus" dell’umanista Pier Paolo Vergerio all’interno di una raccolta pedagogica che ebbe grande fortuna, in particolare nei decenni a cavallo tra il Quattrocento e il Cinquecento. Si compone di tre parti. Nella prima presento l’opuscolo vergeriano, soffermandomi in particolare sulle tematiche in esso affrontate, sul valore attribuito ai modelli, sulle principali fonti utilizzate. Nella seconda espongo i risultati di un’indagine sulla tradizione della raccolta in libri miscellanei, distinguendo la circolazione all’interno dei codici da quella all’interno di incunaboli e cinquecentine. Nella terza propongo una lettura della silloge come insieme coeso di testi, collegati sia da elementi tematici e formali, sia dal fatto che tutti possono essere ricondotti allo stesso ambito culturale, cioè la Firenze dei primi anni del Quattrocento.

Il lavoro intende indagare alcune specifiche forme della devozione individuale laica in Italia tra Due e Trecento. Attraverso una rosa di sette casi-studio esemplari, manoscritti miniati opportunamente selezionati tra le collezioni di istituzioni italiane ed internazionali, si intende circoscrivere una nuova tipologia libraria: quella cui afferiscono i prodotti che in questa occasione sono stati nominati ‘codici ibridi’ o ‘miscellanee di transizione’. Tali manoscritti si pongono all’intersezione tra due precise categorie di strumenti altrettanto destinati alla devozione individuale di un pubblico laico: questi, molto noti, sono il Salterio ed il Libro d’Ore, tipologie librarie rispettivamente di antica e nuova codificazione, involte a partire dal Duecento in un processo di ibridazione formale che vedrà il sostituirsi del Libro d’Ore al Salterio quale libro rappresentativo della preghiera laica. I 'codici ibridi’ assorbono caratteri di entrambi gli estremi tipologici sopraddetti, senza però risolversi in nessuno dei due, e nemmeno nella loro somma. Questi, infatti, raccolgono al loro interno un inedito ed originale caleidoscopio di testi volti ad assecondare la loro specifica funzione pedagogica. Egualmente, la loro figurazione coadiuva tale intento orchestrandosi in programmi decorativi narrativo-didascalici dalle forti intenzioni mnemotecniche.
