Il presente lavoro si propone di apportare una prospettiva queer ed intersezionale al dibattito sociologico attorno alla diversità, alle differenze e alle minoranze urbane. Partendo da un approccio interdisciplinare, questo studio esplora il significato dellincontro con la differenza a partire da soggettività lesbiche, un posizionamento subalterno reso dominante allinterno della cornice omonazionalista. Lobbiettivo è quello di esplorare la città a partire dalle esperienze quotidiane di un soggetto minoritario, quello lesbico, raramente oggetto di attenzione nella letteratura non anglosassone. Si tratta di uno studio qualitativo interdisciplinare basato su un ragionamento abduttivo e radicato (grounded theory) e costante comparazione. Ho svolto due anni di osservazione etnografica tra il 2015 e il 2018 a Milano, Italia, e Bruxelles, Belgio. Inoltre ho intervistato 45 persone, 29 partecipanti e 16 informatori ed informatrici privilegiate. Le partecipanti sono state selezionate allorientamento sessuale e rispetto alla loro relazione con la città (essere immigrate in città). I risultati mostrano che le partecipanti si identificano, controidentificano e disidentificano con la categoria di lesbica in maniere diverse e ambivalenti. Infatti, la differenza lesbica produce a sua volta differenze allinterno della stessa categoria. In particolare dallanalisi emerge come genere, classe e razza si intreccino per produrre specifiche negoziazioni con lo spazio urbano, negli spazi lesbici e con la categoria di lesbica stessa. Sono i conflitti per laccesso a certi spazi, fisici ma anche relazionali, che rendendo visibili le linee di privilegio: bianchezza, conformità di genere, classe media, etc. Queste modalità di assimilazione, resistenza e disidentificazione, infatti, si riflettono nelle esperienze spaziali della città tramite mappe che si restringono (shrinking maps), risultato di evitamenti e negoziazioni tra etero- e omo- normatività tra lessere un cliente come chiunque altro e la ricerca di posti safe, fatti di persone con cui non ho bisogno di spiegarmi. Riconsiderando la centralità della categoria di visibilità, mostro come le partecipanti attraversano talvolta gli spazi come presenze-assenti, non intellegibili attraverso i codici dei luoghi e delle relazioni, venendo percepite ad esempio come uomini, o come etero. Queste tattiche e questi luoghi, tuttavia, non sono accessibili a tutti i corpi nella stessa maniera: la materialità delle esperienze di diversità si manifesta nelle diverse possibilità di accesso a strategie e luoghi di identificazione. Queste presenze-assenze si riproducono lungo linee di classe, di razza, e di espressioni di genere percepite come ostentatorie e esagerate, come nel caso delle butch e delle femme. Non cè spazio sicuro: nate dallesperienza di una doppia esclusione (dentro il movimento omosessuale e dentro il movimento femminista), le soggettività lesbiche intese come una co-formazione riproduce nuove esclusioni, in particolare con comportamenti omonormativi transescludenti nel contesto di Milano e di riproduzione dellegemonia bianca, particolarmente contestata a Bruxelles. Alla luce della letteratura sugli encounters, questo studio mostra che dove la pluralità non è riconosciuta attraverso gli immaginari, le pratiche e le performances viene cancellata la possibilità di identificazione per alcune soggettività e con essa si elimina anche la possibilità di incontro. Analisi in termini di co-formazioni possono favorire il riconoscimento delle strutture di potere al di là di dicotomici discorsi oppositivi, incoraggiando forme di solidarietà transidentitarie e espandendo laccessibilità a immaginari, relazioni e spazi dentro la città.This work aims at expanding the debate about diversity, difference and urban minorities in Western European cities, looking from a queer and intersectional perspective. This interdisciplinary study explores the meaning of encounter and the spatial dimension of lesbian identifications, a subaltern location in terms of gender and sexuality but dominant from a homonationalist frame. My aim was to explore the everyday relationships with the city from the perspective of lesbians, a largely understudied subject within urban literature outside the U.K. or the U.S.A. The research is based on participant observation that I conducted between 2015 and 2018 in Milan and in Brussels, and 45 interviews: 29 with participants and 16 with key informants. I adopted qualitative methodologies and a grounded approach based on abductive reasoning and constant comparison. The participants were selected on the basis of their sexual orientation and their relationship with the city (being a migrant to the city). I retrace the emergence of lesbian subjectivities in Milan and Brussels as a result of a double exclusion (both within gay and feminist movements). Challenging the majoritarian/minoritarian opposition, the research highlights that differences are reproduced within the definition of the lesbian category itself. In particular, I look at how gender, race, and class weave together and impact the negotiations with the urban space, with lesbian spaces and with the category of lesbian itself. The results show that the participants identify, counteridentify, and disidentify with the category of lesbian in many ambiguous ways. Ultimately, the conflicts for accessing certain spaces of comfort (both physical and relational) render intelligible the other lines of privilege: white, gender-conforming, middle-class. These modalities of assimilation, resistance, and disidentification, in fact, are reflected in their spatial experiences of the city through what I call shrinking maps as a result of avoidance and negotiation of both homo- and hetero- normativities between being just a normal client and looking for safe spaces made of people with whom I dont have to explain. By shrinking maps I mean that the possibilities of encounters are reduced by non-encounters. Reconsidering the centrality of visibility, I show how the participants sometimes move through the spaces as what I call present-absences: they are not intelligible through places and relationships scripts when they pass sometimes as man, sometimes as straight. Places, indeed, are not accessible to everybody: the materiality of difference emerges in the embodied possibilities to choose, or not, among different strategies to access spaces and identifications. Exclusionary practices are reproduced along the lines of class, race and notably nonconforming gender expressions, as in the case of butches and femmes that are perceived as excessive. The price is being excluded not only from spaces, but from lesbian existance: you cannot be a real lesbian. To sum up, in this thesis I suggest that there is no safe space: lesbian as a co-formation reproduces other exclusions through homonormative transexclusions in the case of Milan and reproducing white hegemony, particularly contested in the case of Brussels. Reconsidering the literature on encounter, this study shows that where plurality is not recognized through imaginaries, practices and performances the access to identification for certain subjectivities is erased and, along with it, so does the very possibility of encounters. An analysis in terms of co-formations might be helpful in order to recognize power dynamics beyond oppositional discourses, therefore enhancing transidentiarian solidarities and broaden the accessibility to imaginaries, relationships and spaces within the city. Cette thèse met en avant une démarche originale, celle de faire cohabiter l'utilisation d'une technologie moderne, au sein d'une étude archéologique conventionnelle centrée sur l'architecture grecque. L'utilisation de la modélisation 3D dans ce projet doctoral nous amène indubitablement à explorer de nouvelles problématiques en archéologie grecque. Pour ce faire, une réflexion sera menée sur les apports de cette technologie aux sciences archéologiques. En effet, la restitution d'un édifice antique en 3D implique des questionnements sur la réalité virtuelle créée. La modélisation 3D se fonde sur du matériel archéologique partiel altéré par le temps. C'est pourquoi il est nécessaire de prendre du recul face à une image 3D qui peut idéaliser une réalité archéologique. Notre étude s'appliquera aussi à apporter des solutions permettant de remédier à ces complications liées à la restitution virtuelle. De plus, la restitution 3D d'un édifice antique n'est pas une fin en soi. En d'autres termes, cette technologie doit par son approche intuitive apporter une nouvelle façon d'appréhender les questions qui touchent à la construction des édifices antiques. À commencer par les méthodes de constructions ou encore la faisabilité architecturale...etc. Dans un même temps, nous mènerons un examen architectural et archéologique dans le but de proposer une étude qui soit équilibrée et qui puisse être réutilisée par la recherche archéologique. Nos objectifs sont multiples et cette étude fait le vœu d'être ambitieuse. Pour cela, cette étude s'attellera à éviter l'écueil de proposer une approche ayant un cadre trop restrictif. C'est pourquoi nous envisageons de préférence une étude qui associera plusieurs groupes d'édifices aux fonctions différentes. De ce fait, en tenant compte d'un maximum de situations et de réalités archéologiques, notre examen gagnera en représentativité, tout comme cela lui assurera une probabilité plus grande d'être réutilisé dans la recherche pour d'autres applications liées à la restitution 3D. Cette thèse est aussi une occasion d'évoquer les questions liées à la valorisation du patrimoine culturel. Ce thème sera aussi abordé, car le partage du savoir ne doit pas seulement être destiné aux initiés, mais aussi auprès du grand public. Il s'agit là d'une mission essentielle que l'archéologie se doit de mener à bienThis thesis puts forward a novel approach who will make cohabit together the use of a modern technology in a conventional archaeological study focused on Greek architecture. The use of 3D modeling in this doctoral project leads undoubtedly to explore new issues in the Greek archeology. To do this, we will consider to the benefits of this technology to archaeological sciences. Indeed, the restitution of an ancient building in 3D, involves questions on the virtual reality that created. 3D modeling is based on the archaeological material altered by the time. That is why, it is necessary to take a step back on a 3D picture that can idealize an archaeological reality. Our study will also apply to provide solutions to overcome these complications of the virtual restitution. Moreover, the 3D rendition of an ancient building is not an end in itself. In other words, this technology must provide a intuitive approach and a new way to understand the issues that affect at the construction of ancient buildings. Starting with the construction methods or architectural feasibility ... etc.. At the same time, we will conduct an architectural and archaeological examination in order to propose a study that is balanced and that can be reused by archaeological research. Our goals are many and this study wants to be ambitious. For this, this study will strive to avoid the pitfall of proposing an approach that is too restrictive. That is why we plan to combine preferably a study several groups of buildings with different functions. Therefore, taking into account a maximum of archaeological situations our study will be more representative, as this will ensure it a greater likelihood of being reused in the archeological studies. This thesis is also an opportunity to discuss issues related to the promotion of cultural heritage. This topic will also be addressed because the sharing of knowledge should not be accessible only to insiders, but it must also be affordable for the general public. Esta etnografia busca apresentar reflexões preocupadas com a parentalidade homossexual e com as relações de parentesco forjadas e remodeladas através da reprodução assistida. Neste sentido, problematizo o modo como a conjugalidade homossexual, a homoparentalidade e as novas configurações familiares complexificam o debate que tange a reprodução assistida e o corrente entendimento do que seja natural na reprodução humana, nos obrigando, assim, a repensar as categorias básicas do nosso parentesco. Em sintonia, o interesse central desta pesquisa é a maneira como lésbicas que procuram por novas tecnologias reprodutivas estão construindo, remodelando, classificando e pensando o modelo estabelecido de parentesco, parentalidade e família. O esforço deste trabalho foi o de atar diferentes lados e ambigüidades a respeito da temática presente nas trajetórias de vida, discursos, notícias, blogs e comunidades de redes sociais. A possibilidade de não ver as relações sociais como uma via de mão única animaram este caminho. Destaco que a família homoparental não é apenas uma tentativa de assemelhar-se a um modelo vigente. É antes outra coisa, um processo complexo que necessita investigação já que as práticas parentais são mais que simples conseqüências dos valores do casal, estando sujeitas às pressões da rede familiar mais ampla, de colegas de trabalho e amigos. Tais desejos por filiação também são exemplares de uma estratégia coerente que visa dar à conjugalidade homossexual legitimidade perante a sociedade que continua materializando este arranjo familiar em um recorte stigmatizado. As interlocutoras deste trabalho são casais formados por mulheres lésbicas que procuram ou que já realizaram o procedimento de reprodução assistida

Tema for avhandlingen er samkjønnede familier som fenomen med spesielt fokus på fremveksten av planlagte lesbiske familier i Norge. I avhandlingen rettes oppmerksomheten først og fremst mot å forstå denne type familier i lys av samfunnsendringer. Et viktig anliggende har vært å se nærmere på sentrale utviklingstrekk i fremveksten av lesbiske familier, i lys av det skiftende familiepolitiske og juridiske rammeverket de til enhver tid har vært omgitt av. Utformingen av prosjektet og dets problemstillinger er derfor tett på den rettighetspolitiske prosessen knyttet til rettigheter for planlagte lesbiske familier, en prosess som har akselerert hurtig underveis i prosjektperioden. Avhandlingen består av fire artikler, samt en innledende sammenskriving. Det empiriske datamaterialet for avhandlingen er i hovedsak kvalitative dybdeintervjuer med lesbiske mødre og dokumenter som grunnlag for kvalitativ innholdsanalyse. Avhandlingen bidrar til å synliggjøre samkjønnede familier som fenomen, ved å beskrive mangfoldet av hva samkjønnede familier kan være. Den bidrar også til å vise at det biologiske prinsipp, som et sentralt rettsprinsipp innenfor barne- og familieretten, tillegges ulik vekt og anvendes på forskjellige måter. På den måten avkles det biologiske prinsipp, i betydningen av å være et universelt prinsipp. Prosjektet viser også at forskningsbasert kunnskap om barnas oppvekstsvilkår ble gitt så lav prioritet i lovarbeidet om assistert befruktning for lesbiske par at det skapte tvil om kunnskapsstatus på området. Samtidig vises det til at det foreligger mer forskningsbasert kunnskap om barnas situasjon, som samlet sett støtter opp om innføringen av denne loven. Prosjektet reiser også spørsmål angående innføringen av assistert befruktning, og med den muligheten for fastsettelse av medmorskap. I og med at muligheten for fastsettelse av medmorskap er ufravikelig knyttet til assistert befruktning, kan lesbiske par bli stilt overfor et mulig (etisk) dilemma, som består av å velge bort en far til fordel for donor, for på den måten å sikre juridiske bånd mellom sosial mor og barnet, samt å sikre jevnbyrdighet i parrelasjonen mellom de voksne. Avslutningsvis trekkes det paralleller mellom sentrale utviklingstrekk i fremveksten av lesbiske familier og dagens debatt om surrogati.

Esta dissertação discute as condições de visibilidade de professoras lésbicas e professores gays nas escolas da rede de educação básica e a forma como essas pessoas negociam a sua posição de desviantes da heterossexualidade nas relações que estabelecem com colegas docentes e estudantes. As reflexões aqui desenvolvidas nos alicerces da Antropologia Social são fruto de uma articulação entre observações de campo etnográfico multisituado e análises das narrativas elaboradas pelas/os interlocutoras/es da pesquisa para significar suas experiências. O texto se estruturou em cinco eixos que buscam descrever a forma como essas/es professoras/es articularam sua homossexualidade com os campos de possibilidades do sistema escolar, destacando a importância de outros marcadores sociais da diferença, como gênero, classe e raça/etnia, na configuração de seus projetos de carreira docente. Aborda o contexto polÃtico e social que circunscreve essas experiências enquanto situadas historicamente e o modo como as questões LGBT têm sido tratadas na escola; os processos de socialização dessas pessoas enquanto estudantes e a importância das vivências no espaço universitário na ressignificação da homossexualidade; os processos de empoderamento pela militância LGBT e pela formação teórica em gênero e sexualidades, culminando em uma discussão sobre as dinâmicas de "armário na escola" enquanto mecanismo que institui "regimes de visibilidade" para a homossexualidade dessas/es sujeitas/os. A pesquisa de campo demonstrou que as diferentes possibilidades de ação dessas/es professoras/es nas escolas estão relacionadas com a formação teórica no campo dos estudos de gênero e sexualidades, o engajamento militante e, paradoxalmente, com a habilidade de negociar com elementos da masculinidade e da heterossexualidade.
Abstract : This work discusses the visibility conditions of gay and lesbian teaches who work in schools of middle and high education. To understand how these people negotiate their deviant position from heterosexuality in the relationships they establish with fellow teachers and students was the aim of my research. The reflections developed here, based on the foundations of Social Anthropology, are the result of an articulation between multisited ethnographic field observations and the narrative analysis of interviews with my interlocutors, allowing me to signify their experiences. In the five chapters that follow I describe how these people articulate their homosexuality with their jobs, attempting to how other social markers of difference, such as gender and class, affect their field of possibilities and carrer projects. My work concerns the political and social context that circumscribes these experiences as historically situated and how LGBT issues have been handled at school; socialization processes of these people as students and the importance of experiences within university space to redefine homosexuality; the empowerment processes for LGBT activism and the theoretical training in Gender and Sexuality, culminating in a discussion about the dynamics of "the closet" as a mechanism that establishes visibility regimes to their homosexuality at school. Field research has shown that the different possibilities of action of these teachers in schools are related to the theoretical training in the field of Gender and Sexuality Studies, militant engagement and, paradoxically, with the ability to negotiate with masculinity elements and heterosexuality.

A baixa tradução de feministas lésbicas negras no Brasil me leva a traduzir Audre Lorde, Uses of the erotic: the erotic as power e Poetry is not a luxury; Cheryl Clarke, Intimacy no luxury e We are everywhere; e Doris Davenport, Black lesbians in academia: visible invisibility. Primeiro discuto a importância desses textos para a formação ativista, intelectual e subjetiva de ativistas negras lésbicas em formação acadêmica. Penso tradução como política de letramento lésbico negro feminista. Daí, analiso as traduções com Barbara Godard e Sonia Alvarez, que pensam escrita e tradução feminista como transformação crítica do falogocentrismo e tráfico epistêmico na diáspora afro-latino-americana. Logo, miro a poesia como episteme cara à diáspora afro-americana; e me volto à mito-metáfora do caso entre Oxum e Iansã para pensar esses textos como pedagogias textuais/sexuais ancestrais da lesbiandade negra diaspórica. Por fim, vejo Oxum e seu espelho, o abebé, como modelo de autoconhecimento que chama uma mirada para dentro, para si. Junto à genealogia matrilinear de Pilar Godayol, o abebé surge como metáfora de teorias lésbicas negras e suas traduções compartilhadas pela palavra na diáspora afro-americana, em que o texto de uma outra permite o mergulho em mim mesma para mais sentir minha própria lesbiandade negra.
Abstract : The lack of translation projects regarding Black lesbian feminist theories in Brazil inspired me to translate to Brazilian Portuguese the following titles: Audre Lorde's Uses of the erotic: The erotic as power, and Poetry is not a luxury; Cheryl Clarke's Intimacy no luxury, and We are everywhere; and Doris Davenport's Black lesbians in academia: visible invisibility. First of all I address the importance of these contributions considering the political, intellectual and subjective upbringings of black lesbian activists, for my translation motivations are intertwined with black lesbian feminist literacy. Later on I analyze my translations approaching Barbara Godard and Sonia Alvarez's theories concerning the critical transformation of the phalogocentrism on feminist writings and translations (Godard), as well as the thoughts on epistemic traffic within Afro-Latin-American diaspora (Alvarez). I then discuss poetry as an epistemology to which the Afro-American diaspora is fond of, which later leads me towards the mythical metaphor of the sexual affair between the Orishas Oxum and Yansã within which I analyze the texts as ancient textual/sexual pedagogies of Black lesbian diaspora. I finally suggest that Oxum and her mirror abebé can be referred to as a model for self acknowledgement, one that invites a person to look inside herself. Once combined with the matrilineal genealogy proposed by Pilar Godayol, abebé rises as a metaphor for Black lesbian theories and their translations, which are wordily shared in the Afro-American diaspora. These entanglements between feminist theories and the metaphorical approaches to the Orisha's myths within my translations allow me to dive deep within myself in order to tactilely and sensibly experience to my own black lesbianism.

This study discusses the lesbian relational net, the presence of a family of choice and how these relationships are built. To better understand this phenomenon a qualitative research was made with a case study and a semi-structured interview. The person whose case was used was a homosexual woman, out of the closet, older than 30 and who had lived more than one important homosexual romantic relationship. The study also discusses matters as the construction of the homosexual identity, the process of coming out, especially for the family of origin, the relationship between the homosexual and his family of origin and the construction of new relationships, specially the ones within the lesbian community. This study demonstrated the difficulties the individual lives when facing its own homosexuality and the distress she has when coming out for her family of origin. The family s reactions leads the participant in a search for a supporting net, found in the lesbian community. Since than, she starts the construction of a new set of relationships, friendships, romantic and ex-lovers relations that together will form her family of choice. At the same time, the relationship with her family of origin passes through several changes until full acceptance of her homosexuality. Finally, these relational net and the family of origin are blended to form her family of choice that reflects the complexity of these relationships
O presente estudo discute a rede de relacionamento lésbico, a presença de uma família escolhida e como se constrói esta rede de relacionamentos. Para chegar a uma possível compreensão deste fenômeno, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa com delineamento de estudo de caso e entrevista semi-estruturada. O caso escolhido para o estudo foi o de uma mulher homossexual assumida, com mais de 30 anos de idade e com a vivência de mais de um relacionamento amoroso homossexual significativo. No estudo, foram abordados elementos vinculados à aceitação da própria homossexualidade, processo do assumir-se, especialmente para a família de origem, a relação com esta e a construção de novos relacionamentos, destacando-se o relacionamento com a comunidade lésbica. A pesquisa evidenciou a dificuldade vivida para se aceitar como homossexual, bem como assumir-se para a família de origem. Diante da reação desta, a participante sai em busca de uma rede que a apóie, e a encontra na comunidade lésbica; Desde então, passa a construir novos relacionamentos, amizades, relacionamentos amorosos e relacionamentos com ex-parceiras, que vão compor sua nova família. Ao mesmo tempo, a relação com sua família de origem passa por diversas mudanças até a aceitação total de sua homossexualidade. Este trabalho é fruto de um estudo de caso com casais de gays e lésbicas, moradores de uma antiga freguesia do município de Florianópolis. Para tanto, realizou-se uma etnografia do lugar, bem como entrevistas em profundidade com oito sujeitos, com o objetivo de analisar os modos de vida e estratégias de conjugalidade que constituíram para si ao longo de suas trajetórias. Trata-se de sujeitos que norteiam suas relações sociais e amorosas a partir de modelos e valores tradicionais, baseados no ideal do amor romântico, apoiado em padrões acentuados de fidelidade, honestidade e lealdade dos parceiros na união conjugal. As relações sociais que estabelecem com os moradores nativos do local onde vivem são pautadas em vínculos de trocas solidárias e discrição quanto à orientação sexual. A preservação da intimidade no limite da moradia e das relações com o grupo de pares mantém estes sujeitos 'protegidos'dos preconceitos que usualmente os atingem quando sua orientação sexual é "revelada".

Esta dissertação pretendeu discutir modos e estilos de vida de mulheres lésbicas em Florianópolis, na tentativa de explicitar algumas de suas práticas, inserções e relacionamentos sociais, tendo como objetivo contribuir para a desconstrução da representação dos modelos heterossexuais como expressão de normalidade. Baseado nos pressupostos do método etnográfico, através de entrevistas gravadas, obteve depoimentos e histórias de vida de dez mulheres homossexuais, moradoras da Grande Florianópolis, com idades entre 22 e 52 anos. A maioria das informantes pertencia às camadas médias, sendo entrevistadas também mulheres oriundas de camadas populares. Algumas destas mulheres tinham concedido entrevistas para estudo desenvolvido anteriormente, o que facilitou a formação de uma rede de informantes e uma convivência estreita entre elas e a pesquisadora, na realização do trabalho empírico. Procurando "escutar as vozes" destas mulheres e problematizar seus relatos, este estudo demonstrou a diversidade de modos e estilos de vida das mulheres entrevistadas

The homosexuality, as well as the inequality between genders, was biologized and naturalized at the end of the eighteenth century, inscribing in the social imaginary the idea, still current, that the "homosexual being " is an essence to which conforms a fixed identity. Considering that religions shape subjectivities, this work investigates how the Catholic religion, predominant in Brazil, contributes to building the self-image of gays and lesbians. Since Catholicism is patriarchal, we inquire into the kind of relationship between the gender inequality present in Catholicism and the formation of the social identity of the homosexuals. For that, we focused on the concepts of identity, gender and religion in their various interconnections, beginning from a foucaultian point of view, also approaching to the social constructionism. The data of the empiric field were collected from two focal groups: one group composed of men, and the other composed of women that declare themselves gays and lesbians respectively. By the conducted theoretical discussions and analysis of focal groups, we found out that Catholicism contributes significantly to the negative perception that gays and lesbians have of themselves by labeling homosexuality as morally illegitimate and by inculcating on the homosexual people, very early in their lives, the concepts of sin, shame and guilt that strongly influence them. We could also conclude that the marks of gender used by the Catholicism to condemn the homosexuality influences in different ways the building up of the gay and of the lesbian identities
A homossexualidade, como a desigualdade de gênero, foi biologizada e naturalizada desde o final do século XVIII, inscrevendo no imaginário social a idéia, ainda hoje vigente, de que o ser homossexual é uma essência a que corresponde uma identidade fixa. Dado que as religiões são modeladoras de subjetividades, o presente trabalho investiga como a religião católica, majoritária no Brasil, contribui para a construção da auto-imagem de gays e lésbicas. Como o catolicismo é patriarcal, buscamos compreender qual é a relação entre a desigualdade de gênero presente na religião católica e a construção da identidade social de homossexuais. Para isso, trabalhamos identidade, gênero e religião em diversas interconexões, partindo de uma perspectiva foucaultiana e aproximando-nos do construcionismo social. Os dados do campo empírico foram obtidos por meio da realização de dois grupos focais, um com homens que se declaram gays e outro com mulheres que se declaram lésbicas. Pelas discussões teóricas e pela análise dos grupos focais, constatamos que o catolicismo contribui de forma significativa para uma percepção negativa que gays e lésbicas têm de si mesmos/as, por inscrever a homossexualidade em um campo de ilegitimidade moral e pela internalização muito precoce das idéias de pecado, vergonha e culpa que marcam fortemente as pessoas homossexuais. Foi possível constatar também que as marcas de gênero presentes na condenação católica da homossexualidade incidem de forma diferenciada sobre a construção da identidade gay e sobre a construção da identidade lésbica

La letteratura sul cinema sportivo concorda sul principio per cui il film di sport si fonda su un culto della virilità eterosessuale, articolato sull’esclusione dell’omosessualità e della femminilità.
Come funziona, allora, il cinema di sport al femminile? Quali corpi, quali identità, quali orientamenti e quali contraddizioni racconta?
Si propone qui di pensare l’atleta cinematografica come una «troubling figure», una figura problematica che mette in discussione le costruzioni di genere e orientamento sessuale nel cinema hollywoodiano contemporaneo e nel film di sport in particolare, riprendendo il discorso di Butler sulla performance di genere e sulla costruzione del gender.
Uno studio del 2005 di Harrison e Lynch ha dimostrato che le atlete femminili vivono un conflitto tra l’essere donna e la pratica dello sport. Ma in cosa consiste questo conflitto? In che modo si legano i concetti di muscolarità, mascolinità e omosessualità femminile? Cos’è un corpo lesbico? Quali modalità vengono impiegate, nello sport e nel cinema di sport, per “scongiurare” il “rischio” di una lettura omosessuale o mascolinizzata del corpo femminile?
La proposta di questo lavoro è dunque quella di analizzare le performance di genere e le rappresentazioni dell’orientamento sessuale delle protagoniste femminili del film di sport immaginando che siano il risultato di una strategia per evitare o affrontare il rischio di un’interpretazione scomoda, in cui la donna che fa sport, proprio perché fa sport, finisce per risultare, paradossalmente, “meno donna”.
Si valuterà dunque come film di natura eterogenea per sport, identità e orientamento messi in scena si “posizionano” in maniera diversa rispetto a temi come femminilità, mascolinità, competitività, sessualità, omosessualità, genitorialità, identità e agency, su cui si concentrerà nel tentativo di stabilire le norme e, insieme, le “eccezioni” alla norma del cinema sportivo al femminile.

Vorliegende Dissertation greift in zeitgenössische Debatten queerer und feministischer Politiken durch die Analyse von Gegenwartsliteratur ein. Hatte die zweiten Frauenbewegung vertreten, dass im Zentrum politischer Veränderungen stets persönliche Veränderungen stehen, nutzt die Arbeit mit diesem Ausgangspunkt ein scheinbar anachronistisches Paradigma, um solche Narrative zu kritisieren, die Queerness sowie queere Politik und Theorie im Präsens, lesbischen Feminismus dagegen in der Vergangenheit positionieren wollen. These ist dagegen, dass die utopischen Impulse des lesbischen Feminismus der zweiten Frauenbewegung sich mit aktueller queerer Politik überschneiden und dass beide auf zu differenzierende Art Praktiken und Konzepte von Intimität in den Vordergrund stellen, die auf soziale Transformationen in größerem Maßstab verweisen. Die Erkundung der komplexen Weisen, in denen Politik durch Intimität praktiziert wird, erfolgt hier am Beispiel der Figur der Lesbe in der zeitgenössischen Anglo-Amerikanischen Literatur, speziell in Auseinandersetzung mit der Literatur der kanadischen Schriftstellerin Ann-Marie MacDonald. Mit Figur oder Trope der Lesbe im Zentrum der Analyse ist ein spezifischer historischer und politischer Kontext signalisiert. Die Lesbe sowie lesbian existence als eine feministische Praxis bieten einen produktiven Ausgangspunkt, weil beide im Lauf der Zeit oft und teils simultan als das Abjekt oder das idealisierte Objekt von sexueller und Genderpolitik konstruiert worden sind. Darüber hinaus markiert lesbischer Feminismus einen bestimmten zeitlichen Ort sowie eine politische Funktion und besetzt einen bestimmten Platz im feministischen und queeren Imaginären. Aufgabe der Dissertation ist es, die Potentiale herauszuarbeiten, die heute noch immer von der Figur der Lesbe und vom lesbischem Feminismus ausgehen, ohne dabei deren teils unbequeme Beziehung zum beachtlichen Einfluss der Queer Theory aus den Augen zu verlieren.This dissertation intervenes in contemporary debates in queer and feminist politics through an analysis of literary fiction. Taking as its point of departure the second-wave feminist claim that personal and intimate transformation are at the heart of political transformation, it uses a seemingly anachronistic paradigm to critique linear narratives that position queerness and queer politics and theory in the present and lesbian feminism in the past. It argues that the utopian impulses of second-wave lesbian feminism overlap with those of contemporary queer politics, and claims that both foreground practices and conceptions of intimacy that prefigure broader social change. Exploring the ways in which politics are enacted via intimacy, this dissertation takes as its object of study the figure of the lesbian in contemporary Anglo-American literature, specifically engaging with the fiction of Canadian writer Ann-Marie MacDonald. Situating the figure of the lesbian at the centre of this analysis signals a specific historical, political, and social context. The lesbian, as a figure or trope, or lesbian existence, as a way of doing feminism, offers a productive point of departure for such considerations because both have, over time, been variously and often simultaneously constructed as either the abject or idealized object of sexual and gender politics. Lesbian feminism signals a specific temporal location and political function and holds a particular space in the feminist and queer imaginary. While exploring both the influence of queer theory and politics in the political and theoretical structures of sexuality, and the unprecedented mainstreaming both of (certain versions of) non-heterosexuality and (certain versions of) feminism, this dissertation’s project is to consider the possibilities still generated by the figure of the lesbian and lesbian feminism, while considering its sometimes-uncomfortable relationship to the considerable influence of queer theory.

This thesis raises the question to what extent remains lesbian identity relevant as a stigma in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part shows how sexuality and homosexuality in particular is influenced and shaped by society. I draw predominantly from scientific texts of foreign origin and for information relating to the Czech Republic I draw from Czech resources. My approach to the study of sexuality is constructivist. The research part of my study I drew from the analysis of semi-structured interviews with lesbian women. Initially, I offered an insight on what it means to be lesbian by the bearers of lesbian identities themselves. In the central part of my study, I explained in what context and why are the lesbian identities usually experienced as a stigma. As part of everyday life lesbian identity manifests itself as a stigma especially when a lesbian did not come out and treats her own identity as a stigma herself. By doing so she brings tension into interactions, especially with people who she is closer with, because she constantly deals with the control of information about her lesbian identity. Dissimulation of lesbian identity gets even harder in case that she is in relationship with a woman. Die Diplomarbeit untersucht die Gestaltung von Hochzeitsfeiern lesbischer Paare vor dem Hintergrund ritualtheoretischer Konzepte und dem Wandel der gesellschaftlichen Bedeutung des Heiratens.
Es werden sechs lesbische Paare mithilfe leidfadengestützter Interviews zu Vorbereitung, Ablauf und Nachwirkungen ihrer Hochzeitsfeiern befragt. Schwerpunkt der durch Verfahren der Grounded Theory geleiteten Analyse sind der Umgang mit dem kulturellen Konzept „Hochzeit“ und die Gestaltung der Hochzeitsfeiern in Auseinandersetzung mit heteronormativen Erwartungen.
Die Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass lesbische Paare bei der Gestaltung ihrer Hochzeitsfeiern eine Inklusion von eigenem Paarverständnis und kulturellen Anforderungen an Hochzeitsfeiern anstreben. Six lesbian couples are interviewed on planning, realization and aftereffects of their weddings. The analysis is based on grounded theory procedures and focuses on dealing with the cultural concept of “wedding” and the arrangement of weddings against the background of heteronormative expectations. Results suggest that lesbian couples strive for an inclusion of their own understanding of being a couple with cultural standards for weddings. The thesis mainly deliberates Lesbian novels written after the era of curfew in Taiwan. It investigates the narrative structure of Lesbian novels of that certain period (1987-2003), analyzing both the text and the form of the works. Author starts with the five W’s – why the writers were interested in the stories of Lesbians, what kind of stories they were writing, who were the live model of the main characters of their works, how they constructed the stories, and where were the stories taken place. The thesis continued with an exploration of the narrative structure and literary value of the Lesbian novels, by examining the substances of novel writing such as topics, characters, plots, and occasions.

The contribution deals with the minority stress in the Italian gay and lesbian population, particularly with respect to the role of the internalized homonegativity; three studies are described, a first study of Italian language adaptation of an instrument to measure the internalized homonegativity, a second study to test an integrated theoretical model of mediation about the minority stress in gay men and lesbians, a third study to analyze the reduction of the psychological distress in gay men and lesbians.

Im Mittelpunkt dieser Diplomarbeit stehen die Erfahrungen lesbischer Frauen in einer heterosexuell bestimmten Umwelt. Diese Erfahrungen werden aus einer xenologischen Perspektive betrachtet und als Erfahrungen biographischer uns sozialer Fremdheit aufgefasst. Den Ausgangspunkt meiner theoretischen Überlegungen bildet die Frage, wie lesbische Frauen biographische und soziale Fremdheit erfahren und wie sie diese Erfahrungen in ihrer Lebenspraxis verarbeiten.
Die Arbeit stützt sich auf das Phasenmodell zur homosexuellen Indentiätsentwicklung von Vivienne C. Cass und die Theorie zu Stigma und Stigmamanagement von Erving Goffman.

My thesis should provide a comprehensive sum up of the life of homoparental families in the Czech Republic. I would like to closely see and monitor functioning of those LGBTI families and to research obstacles that these families must overcome to fully function in the society. In terms of equal and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity I will examine in more details the processes, tools and institutions that provide the same conditions to all families without exception. I am primarily interested in barriers to the full functioning of these families, their access to assisted reproduction, surrogacy for gay families, and the legalization of non-biologic parent relationships to a child in a common household, their rights and duties. From a public policy point of view, I will find out whether these processes are in the accordance to equal and not discrimination treatment for all. By legalization of the partnership between homosexuals in the Czech Republic it has caused the logical development of this status and issues connecting to this law. Today, is often discussed the nature of this relationship and the possibility of its "transformation" into a full family structure ended up by marriage. The purpose of this research was to investigate and describe the experience of lesbian parents and their adolescents regarding the adolescents’ development of a sense of self in the lesbian home, in order to compile guidelines that can provide help to these parents. The subject was investigated from both a pastoral base theory (normative perspective) and a Gestalt theoretical perspective (paradigmatic perspective). A qualitative approach was followed for the purpose of this study, with semi-structured interviewing with the adolescents and their parents respectively. Adolescents were also requested to make collages that served as an additional data gathering method. The sample group consisted of five adolescent boys and four adolescent girls, some of who were siblings, from six lesbian families respectively. Seven of the twelve parents were biological mothers from previous heterosexual marriages, and the remaining five women had no children of their own.
From the literature review and the empirical results of this study, it appears that there are certain positive as well as negative aspects of a lesbian home that influence an adolescents sense of self. In lesbian homes where both parents are involved with the adolescents, share household duties equally and have a quality relationship with each other as well as with the adolescents, the adolescents are generally well-adapted, happy and able to handle challenges in order to develop a healthy sense of self. The positive influence that Christian religious certainty has on the overall development of the adolescents and on the sense of self, was confirmed through this study.
On the other hand, adolescents experience the following aspects as challenging and impeding in their development of a healthy sense of self: Conflict and criticism from the companion parents are humiliating and destructive for the adolescents. Stigmatising, teasing and rejection from the hetero-normative society, as a result of their parents’ sexual orientation, appear to be the largest obstacle in their psychosocial development, which also influences their sense of self directly, because they react in a shy, negative and evasive way to the stigmatisation and withdraw themselves from situations that can be painful and humiliating. From the research findings, it appears that the absence of a father figure and financial tension in lesbian families are impeding to the adolescents’ healthy development of a sense of self.
Due to the complexity of the aspects that can have a negative influence or impede on an adolescent’s healthy development of a sense of self within the lesbian parent relationship, the researcher realised that professional help, support and guidance might be necessary for some of the lesbian parents and adolescents in order to promote the adolescents’ development of a sense of self and the establishment of a unique identity. At the end of this study, the researcher was able to compile guidelines for lesbian parents as well as pastoral counsellors to help and guide them in their support to adolescents in order to enable them develop a healthy sense of self.PhD (Pastoral Studies), North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2014

This diploma thesis discusses the issue of registered partnership and the Czech public´s opinion of it from the social and legal aspect of a new establishment. The theoretical section characterises the basic terms applying to this issue. The purpose of this work is to establish the predominant attitudes in Czech society towards homosexuality and homosexual orientation as such, including attitudes towards registered partnership. Three hypotheses have been determined. H 1: A greater part of the Czech public perceives introduction of the registered Partnership Act to be a positive step for homosexually orientated citizens. H 2: more than half of respondents do not have enough information about the issue of registered partnership. H 3: More than half of respondents are chiefly influenced by the media in their attitudes. The research section contains processing and evaluation of data obtained by the quantitative method of inquiries made through a questionnaire, when an anonymous questionnaire investigation established the general public´s attitudes towards homosexuality and registered partnership. The obtained data implies that the Czech public is aware of the establishment of registered partnership as such, but knowledge of specific aspects, which are significant from the social or legal aspect, are not on the required level. A pleasing discovery is that the Czech public has an open approach to the establishment of registered partnership and agrees with its introduction to practice by means of approval of Act number 115/2006 Coll.

Summary: The goal of this thesis is to monitor legal rights available to homosexual couples in order to establish a family. In the first part, I am trying to clarify what kind of social unit is currently considered to be called a family. Further in the first part I am analysing the most common means of getting an offspring available for homosexual couples. I also analyse the way those means are regulated in Czech Republic, prospectively I am presenting influence of the Strasbourg court on the evolution of subject legal frame in Europe. The main mean of gay couples to obtain a descendant, for the purpose of this thesis, is the artificial insemination method, which is analyzed in detail in the second part. I am both concerned about the historical evolution of it and its social picture and acceptation. Further I narrow my focus to application of this method for lesbian couples and I present studies to show how families with two mothers are working. Presented studies are held in both psychological and sociological point of view and they show, if and how the child is affected with growing up with homosexually oriented parents. This Master's Thesis approaches the phenomen of upbringing of children by lesbian and gay couples. It deals with primary school teachers' attitude to the question of homosexuality and homoparentality. In the theoretical part, the issues such as family, gender, gender role and identity are introduced. Thereafter the work is focused on the concept of gay and lesbian families, the legal aspects of homoparentality and the possible approach to parenting by the same-sex couples. The thesis also presents some of the realized researches into homoparentality. Part of these studies covers a potentional influence of upbringing by same- sex parents on child's development. Second part comprises the researches focused on parental experience of gays and lesbian women. The last chapter of theoretical part deals with the conception of homosexuality and education at schools. The aim of the practical part is to find out what the attitude of primary school teachers to homosexuality and homoparentality is really like, whether and how these topics are taught and how the attitude of teachers is reflected in teaching/lessons. Opinions and attitudes towards homosexually oriented people and their lives have changed significantly in the last twenty years. Homosexuality is not considered as a sexual deviation any more, and more and more European cultures allow formal and legal existence of the same-sex couples. In some states of the European Union gays and lesbians can become parents legally - they are allowed full joint adoption. The objective of the theoretical part of the thesis was to approach the issue of homosexuality and homosexually oriented people within the context of selected states of the European Union. The main objective of the research part of the thesis was to find out the attitude of the wide public towards the institute of registered partnership (civil union or civil partnership) in the Czech Republic. The partial objective was to survey the public attitude towards the adoption of a child by a single homosexual and towards the adoption of a child by a homosexual couple (full joint adoption) in the Czech Republic. I also wanted to find out, whether the Czech public tolerate the adoption of a child of a homosexual partner or the artificial insemination of lesbian couples. Quantitative research, polling method and an anonymous questionnaire {--} a technique of the research - were used in the practical part.

The dissertation thesis deals with the issue of registered partnership and with the attitudes of predominantly homosexual public to that institute, new from both social and legal perspective. The task of the delimitation of theoretical context is to state basic concepts related to the topic. That part deals further with registered partnership, its legal and social aspects in selected European Union countries. The research part includes processing and evaluation of data got by quantitative method of questioning, when opinions of homosexual, heterosexual and bisexual respondents on the current legal regulation of homosexual couples were ascertained with the help of anonymous questionnaire investigation. Also the method of qualitative research in form of group discussion was chosen for processing of the empirical part of the thesis. The goal of the thesis was to ascertain whether the legislation is convenient from the point of view of homosexual couples and whether there are not any forms of discrimination with regard to sexuality. The author deals marginally also the sphere of parenthood in the research part and ascertains whether more female or male couples live together. Last but not least she tries to outline the issue of discrimination. The thesis allows viewing the attitudes of heterosexual, bisexual and homosexual respondents to selected discrimination areas of this issue.

The work deals with the phenomenon of homosexuality from the perspective of the Roman Catholic Church and organizations in the Czech Republic, represented by the SOHO / Gay Initiative and South Bohemian Lambda, which are espoused to the rights of gay and lesbian people. The first part describes the basic concepts that define homosexuality. It deals with historical perceptions of homosexuality in the line of historical period of humanity, to present a comprehensive empirical evidence. The second part describes the ideological background and practical approaches of the Roman Catholic Church. It deals with the interpretation of the Scripture's texts, and knowledge of Magisterium of the Church's documents in relation to homosexuality. The theme of the third part is the recognition of organizations in the Czech Republic SOHO / Gay Initiative and South Bohemian Lambda. Describe the ideological foundations and practical approaches to gay and lesbian individuals in Czech society. The final chapter compares, based on current empirical knowledge, the homosexual orientation and the ideological resource of selected organizations also reflects the tension in the way of experiencing the gay and lesbian individuals in the Czech society.
