Full textThis thesis presents a new animation method based on topology. It consists in animating a space partition while ensuring its consistency. The scenes are described from a high-level language depending on the application. The animation system relies on an event approach which detects topological events. The animation is generated from the sequential processing of all events. During the motion of entities, the date of collisions is computed and events are generated. For processing those collisions, events are handled with respect to their local contexts (both geometrical and semantical). This thesis also presents an application in geology which allows the user to generate a subsoil evolution from some natural phenomena described by a scenario. A scenario is made of a sequence of geological phenomena (sedimentation, erosion, fault creation and sliding) analyzed by the animation system. A phenomenon is therefore translated into a set of initial events. After the animation has been generated, the geologist can analyze and validate it with the semantical and historical information given by the model

Full textWhile criticisms about bloy's works are resuming, his articles make a forsaken corpus which is most often reduced to a violent and reactionary production. As for him, bloy has never stopped proclaiming himself as "a town-crier" of god, a pamphleeter and an artist too. The unity of this corpus being postulated, this survey will establish that its subversive force comes much more from a literary process than from political positions. A diachronic view seems to be necessary in order to set up how bloy, committed in conservative newspapers, is forced to give up polemic and to become a lonely pampheleeter, giving free way to pain and revolt. Then, in a synchronic approach, it is possible to characterize articles. Bloy criticises the society in a radicalist way and he gives his remarks a muthical reorientation. In the press liberated by the law in 1881, he develops a prophetical way of speaking, real act of speaking, and he favours hyperbole and image, reusing with force metaphors from religious literature in an apocalyptic vision of the world. Bloy denouces reporting and criticism as lies and propounds his own view of the news item and literature, as a revelation which restores the truth. This determinedly subjective attitude justifies many attacks, but it gives him access to strong texts like these of lautreamont. The ultimate unity of his texts resides in the writing which, using intertextuality, abolishes all the limits between bloy's texts, putting the holy scriptures into central focus, and bloy's texts as illumination

Full textThis essay considers the works of l. B. Alberti, written in latin and in "volgare". First, it looks at irony following the way of the "intertextualite". Moreover, the irony calls in question the omniscient certitudes of universal speechs (metaphysical speech and speech of the reason). Lastly, the irony, considered as dialogue, underlines the necessary and difficult confrontation of learnings, but it can also assume the dubious status, between dissimulation and cynicism, of a free speech that eludes social and political sanctions

This dissertation investigates Leon Baptista Alberti's cultural critique, taking into consideration a broad spectrum of Alberti's writings, including many which have remained relatively unknown and ignored. Alberti developed his cultural theories by means of a literary ontology which is based on the definition of the author, his role in society, and his function as catalyst for regeneration. His theory of art and of history, and even his views on the task of Humanism it self, are all subsumed in his comprehensive attempt to demonstrate that myth-making capabilities are central to society's self-definition. Unless society keeps alive the myths of destruction and regeneration, its historical viability, so Alberti argues, is endangered. Alberti's aesthetic theory, which has previously been sought exclusively in his treatises, De pictura and De re aedificatoria, emerges in this inquiry as inextricably interlocked with his cultural critique. For the first time, the treatises will be viewed from within the context of Alberti's own thought.

The purpose of our research was to recoup some of the ideas about the intersemiotic translation of Graciliano Ramos' novel Sao Bernardo (1934) to the cinema. In this masters dissertation we realised the creative genesis of Leon Hirszman's filmmaking processes by following the path traced by the film-maker since the reading of the homonymous novel to the to the writing of an unknown script and posteriorly in his film editing and sonorization approaches.

Full textThe study deals xith the structure of a social relation - the insult (being verbal, written or physical) and it's underlying representations. It covers the region of castile and leon in spain between the end of the twelfth and the end of the fourteenth century, during which period the fueros extensos were in effect. The analysis is conducted at three levels. The first deals with the logics of insult: the struggle for power, the intention to dishonour, so often closely linked to praise or education, and, finally, the theatrical nature of daily social relations and of the acts of law. The second level is concerned with thematic aspects of the insult and it's setting, and deals with the body, the family, the jewish and muslim minorities, some negatively connotated types of behaviours, and aspects of animality. In the third level, the study analyses modalities of response to insults, i. E. How to punish and to avenge, how the punishment may take the form, for example, of injury, or of excommunication, or the demand for an ordeal; how, finally, the power takes steps to redefine the institutions to give priority to the punishment, at the expense of vindicatoriy forms. This implies for instance, a redefinition of the concept of honour and of how it is linked to the body, as well as arguments relating to time and symbols

Full textThis thesis has developed the Strategic Planning for Transportes León del Sur based on the Sequential Model of the Strategic Process proposed by D’Alessio (2016). Transportes León del Sur is a company that was born in Arequipa in 1985 and currently provides the interprovincial passenger transport service and the parcel delivery service. The company operates on 16 routes nationwide and focuses its operations in the south of Peru. It has been proposed as a vision for the company that by 2023 this will be one of the ten main passenger land transport companies in Peru in terms of sales, acting in a socially responsible manner, generating profitability for shareholders seeking customer satisfaction and maintaining a commitment to security, respecting the legal regulations that contribute to the growth of Peru. Likewise, the proposed mission for Transportes León del Sur is that the company seeks to connect people with their destinations around the national territory; working responsibly for the quality of its service and security, taking care of the impact on the community and the environment using a modern fleet with eco-efficient technology, always operating committed to the country's growth and the well-being of all our stakeholders; being the differentiation before its competitors, its main competitive advantage. Finally, as a result of the Strategic Planning for Transportation León del Sur, four long-term objectives were raised, 21 strategies were formulated and 15 short-term objectives were designed, which have been embodied in the Balanced Score Card, a tool that allows measuring the achievement of these objectives.

Full textIn this research, it is a question of claiming the literary quality and the rich personality of the writer Maria Teresa León (1903-1988), exiled after the Spanish Civil War together with her husband, the poet Rafael Alberti, and of showing her place deserved between the authors of the well known “Generación del 27”, among whom we count key figures of the spanish poetry such as Lorca, Alberti, Aleixandre, Cernuda and others. The study tries to repair the oblivion into which had fallen Maria Teresa León, darkened by the fame of his partner, Raphael Alberti, who had obtained , after the death of Franco, its rehabilitation as big poet. In this objective, the work identifies, at first, the common characteristics of the canonical authors of the group 1927, and, in the second place, demonstrates the sharing by Maria Teresa of the same common features and social circumstances. The research also approaches the situation of the intellectual women of the period, and highlights number of the other women of letters of the generation 1927, such as Rosa Chacel, Ernestina Champourcin, Zambrano, whose work has at least so much value as that of their colleagues men.A particular place is granted to the Maria Teresa León's major work, " Memory of the melancholy ", which reveals at best the literary quality and the structural originality of the author. This book raises, through the beauty of its poetic prose, not only the Spanish panorama preceding the Civil War, but also ,the terrible experience lived by the political expatriates of Spain

Full textIn Venice in 1622/23, the Jewish composer Salamone Rossi Hebreo published “The Songs of Solomon”, a collection of 33 musically set Hebrew texts which, as the foreword reads, were supposed to be performed in synagogal liturgy. The exceptional project found considerable support from the Venetian Rabbi Leon Modena, who not only helped to prepare the printing but also provided promoting paratexts (also by other rabbis) as to ward off possible objections in advance. The publication process allows us to observe two agents of cultural transformation amalgamating Jewish and non-Jewish traditions – both of them being well aware of their Jewishness at all times. With the rediscovery of their music in the 19th century and the renewed interest in the present, “Rossi & Co.” is having a late triumph.

Full textInspired in tuscan airs, inflamed by ancient sources and girded by Roman ruins, Leon Battista Alberti composes, in latin letters, a modern doctrine of beauty sowed upon the treatises on the Arts. In that, beauty glares in pulchritudo and ornamentum: the former, proportional harmony of the parts within a body that does not accepts additions or subtractions or alterations, is inherent quality; the latter, adherent to the figure, is auxiliary light and fair complement. Evoking the rhetoric of Cicero and Quintilian, and invoking comely, organic, metaphors, the albertian precepts, by fusing the notions of decorum and aptum and accommodating aesthethical principles and ethical motivations, surpasses the separation between structure and ornament, attenuating the idea of a beauty only emerged from proportional relation, ending modern oppositions between ornatus and utilitas.

Full textA needs assessment was conducted with participants from the city of León in México. The AARP Age-Friendly Community framework was used to look at four domains: Social Participation, Respect & Social Inclusion, Work & Civic Engagement and Community & Health Services to evaluate the needs of older adults, to detect services available and to identify gaps between needs and services available. A non-random, snowball sampling technique was used to survey twenty-six adults aged 60 and older receiving health services, and twenty-seven service providers working in organizations that serve older adults. The results indicated that Work and Civic Engagement have the largest gap between needs and services available from the perspective of both groups. The domain with the second largest need-service gap is Respect and Social Inclusion, followed by Community and Health Services. The domain reported to be the strongest with the most needs covered is Social Participation.

Full textThis thesis studies the context, the genesis and the process of the writing of de familia by leon battista alberti (1404-1472). It is composed of two volumes respectively entitled "context, genesis and writing of a dialogue" and "tradition and text". The first volume tackles in its introduction the problem of the different forms of alberti's writing (treatise, dialogue, ludus) and of their epistemological significance; it studies next the ancient models, the forms, the methods and the humanist context (chapter i and ii), then chronology, typology, conception and composition of alberti's italian dialogues (chapter iii), as well as the progression of dialogue, the fonction of characters and the production of the truth in de familia (chapter iv). The volume ends with an appendix dedicated to "family, woman and love" which studies, in the whole of his work, the perceptions and ideas of alberti on these subjects in the light of ecclesiastical conceptions and practices of the merchant milieu of the time. The second volume contains a critical edition of the four books of de familia. It is precedeed by a substantial introduction which retraces in a new manner the genesis of the work and the modalities of its circulation and which reconstructs for the first time the connection between the known manuscripts in a rational way. Three distinct stemmata corresponding to the three sections, under which the book was effectively circulated, are proposed
