Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to propose a leakage reduction technique which will works for complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and fin field effect transistor (FinFET). Power consumption will always remain one of the major concerns for the integrated circuit (IC) designers. Presently, leakage power dominates the total power consumption, which is a severe issue. It is undoubtedly clear that the scaling of CMOS revolutionizes the IC industry. Still, on the contrary, scaling of the size of the transistor has raised leakage power as one of the significant threats to the IC industry. Scaling of the devices leads to the scaling of other device parameters, which includes threshold voltage also. The scaling of threshold voltage leads to an exponential increase in the sub-threshold current. So, many leakage reduction techniques have been proposed by researchers for CMOS from time to time. Even the other nano-scaled devices such as FinFET, carbon nanotube field effect transistor and tunneling field effect transistor, have been introduced, and FinFET is the one which has evolved as the most favorable candidate for replacing CMOS technology. Design/methodology/approach Because of its minimum leakage and without having limitation of the short channel effects, it gradually started replacing the CMOS. In this paper, the authors have proposed a technique for leakage reduction for circuits using nano-scaled devices such as CMOS and FinFET. They have compared the proposed PMOS FOOTER SLEEP with the existing leakage reduction techniques such as LECTOR technique, LECTOR FOOTER SLEEP technique. The proposed technique has been implemented using CMOS and FinFET devices. This study found that the proposed method reduces the average power, as well as leakage power reduction, for both CMOS and FinFET devices. Findings This study found that the proposed method reduces the average power as well as leakage power reduction for both CMOS and FinFET devices. The delay has been calculated for the proposed technique and the existing techniques, which verifies that the proposed technique is suitable for high-speed circuit applications. The authors have implemented higher order gates to verify the performance of the proposed circuit. The proposed method is suitable for deep-submicron CMOS technology and FinFET technology. Originality/value All the existing techniques were proposed for either CMOS device or FinFET device, but the authors have implemented all the techniques with both the devices and verified with the proposed technique for CMOS as well as FinFET devices.

Abstract:
This paper aims to explain the relationship between family formation and the career rhythms of female lecturers. The sampling technique is cluster sampling, followed by the stratified random sampling technique. This study selected a sample of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). The sample size calculation uses the Krejcie and Morgan technique. The number of respondents this study was 156 from 633 female lecturers of Undip. The results showed that 55 percent of women lecturers of Undip have been married for more than 10 years, 62 percent had 2-3 children, 53 percent as lector and associate professor in academic position, and only 1.9 percent as professors. Undip female lecturers transit time at expert assistant and lector is almost 15 percent and all professor when at associate professor are more than 7 years. Thus concluded that family formation was related with career rhythms. The shorter the age of marriage, the more children they have, the lower the age of the first and last child, will be slower of the career rhythm. This shows that Undip female lecturers cannot take advantage of the various opportunities and opportunities available for career development. This is more due to the outpouring of energy, mind and attention to family because children and families are more valuable than work for female lecturers. This is inseparable from the hegemony of patriarchal culture which is fertile and well-established in Indonesia in general and in Undip in particular.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to propose a new lector-based domino and examine it with inputs and clock signal combination in a 45-nm dual-threshold footerless domino circuit for reduced leakage current. Design/methodology/approach In this technique, p-type and n-type leakage control transistors (LCTs) are introduced between pull-up and pull-down networks, and the gate of one is controlled by the source of the other. A high-threshold transistor is used in the input for reducing gate oxide leakage current, which becomes dominant in nanometre technology. Simulations were based on a 45-nm BISM 4 model using an HSPICE simulator for proposed domino circuits. Findings The result shows that CHIL (clock high and input low) state is ineffective for lowering leakage current and the conventional CHIH (clock high and input high) state is only effective to suppress the leakage at low temperature for wide fan-in domino circuits. At high temperature, CLIL (clock low and input low) state is preferable to reduce the leakage current for low fan-in domino, but for high fan-in domino, CHIH state is preferred. The proposed circuit technique for AND2, OR2, OR4 and OR8 circuits reduces the active power consumption by 50.94 to 75.68 per cent and by 64.85 to 86.57 per cent at low and high die temperatures, respectively, when compared to the standard dual-threshold voltage domino logic circuits. Originality/value The research proposes a new leakage reduction technique used in domino circuits and also evaluates the state for leakage reduction which can be used for low-power dynamic circuits.

Abstract With a rapid growth in semiconductor Industry, complex applications are being implemented using small size chips, with the use of Complementary Metal Oxide Semi-Conductors (CMOS). With the introduction of new Integrated Circuit (IC) technology, the speed of the circuits has been increased by around 30%. But it was observed that for every two years, the power dissipation of a circuit doubles. The main reason for this power dissipation is leakage currents in the circuit. To reduce these leakage currents, we can reduce the width of the device. In addition to this, we can use lector techniques that use Leakage Control Transistors (LCT) and High Threshold Leakage Control Transistors (HTLCT).In this paper; we present a circuit technique that uses 130 nano-meter CMOS VLSI circuits that use two extra transistors to mitigate the leakage currents. The proposed technique overcomes the limitations posed by the existing methods for leakage reductions an average leakage reductions is 82.5%.The estimation of power and delay will be discussed using LCT’s and HTLCT’s.

Recently, consumption of power is key problem of logic circuits based on Very Large Scale Integration. More potentiality consumption isn’t considered an appropriate for storage cell life for the use in cell operations and changes parameters such as optimality, efficiency etc, more consumption of power also provides for minimization of cell storage cycle. In present scenario static consumption of power is major troubles in logic circuits based on CMOS. Layout of drainage less circuit is typically complex. Several derived methods for minimization of consumption of potentiality for logic circuits based on CMOS. For this research paper, a technique called Advance Leakage reduction (AL reduction) is proposed to reduce the leakage power in CMOS logic circuits. To draw our structure circuit related to CMOS like Inverter, inverted AND, and NOR etc. we have seen the power and delay for circuits. This paper incorporates, analyzing of several minimization techniques as compared with proposed work to illustrate minimization in ratio of energy and time usage and time duration for propagation. Abstract:
Achieving good work results requires hard efforts and support from many parties, especially in the field of lecturer performance. The reason is that in achieving educational performance (earning a doctorate), it takes financial adequacy, time, and good intellectual intelligence. Even in achieving research and service performance, it is not enough just to be able, but it is necessary to have a spirit of service in order to encourage change and prosperity for the surrounding community. Therefore, this research seeks to describe what things enable performance to be achieved in lecturers. The research method uses quantitative, where research data is obtained through questionnaires and interviews. While the data analysis used regression with descriptive narrative technique. The object of research is Pamulang University lecturer with the criteria of doctoral education and having a minimum functional position of Lector. The results of the research obtained information, that the greatest enthusiasm of lecturers in achieving performance is actualization. This is confirmed in the results of interviews, that the attachment of a lecturer's title fosters a spirit of wanting to show knowledge and capacity as a university teaching staff. Thus, various things are done, and no matter how big the sacrifices are made.

Abstract:
The achievement of higher education performance cannot be separated from the performance of the lecturers' tri dharma. This is stated in the institution's accreditation assessment indicators. Thus, there is a linear relationship between lecturer performance and university performance, so it is necessary to conduct research so that it can be taken into consideration for universities to be able to pay attention to aspects that affect lecturer performance. To be able to reveal this phenomenon, this study establishes a qualitative approach, which is an attempt to present valid information as the basis for disclosure. In its interpretation, descriptive analysis technique is used. In collecting data using secondary data, namely analyzing the results of SPMI activities carried out by the Quality Assurance Institute of Pamulang University and interviews. The results showed that the performance of the lecturers' tri dharma was in the good category with a percentage of 90%. This confirms that the good performance of lecturers can contribute to the good performance of the university. However, several things that are still a note for improvement in the institution are the lack of academic positions of head lector and professor, there are still many lecturers who have not received professional certification, and the lack of awards.

Abstract:
This contribution aims at improving the performance of Dynamic Differential Cascode Voltage Switch Logic (Dy-DCVSL) and Enhanced Dynamic Differential Cascode Voltage Switch Logic (EDCVSL) and suggests three architectures for the same. The first architecture uses transmission gates (TG) to reduce the logic tree depth and width, which results in speed improvement. As leakage is a dominant issue in lower technology nodes, the second architecture is proposed by adapting the leakage control technique (LECTOR) in Dy-DCVSL and EDCVSL. The third proposed architecture combines features of both the first and the second architectures. The operation of the proposed architectures has been verified through extensive simulations with different CMOS submicron technology nodes (90 nm, 65 nm, and 45 nm). The delay of the gates based on the first architecture remains almost the same for different functionalities. It is also observed that Dy-DCVSL gates are 1.6 to 1.4 times faster than their conventional counterpart. The gates based on the second architecture show a maximum of 74.3% leakage power reduction. Also, it is observed that the percentage of reduction in leakage power increases with technology scaling. Lastly, the gates based on the third architecture achieve similar leakage power reduction values to the second one but are not able to exhibit the same speed advantage as achieved with the first architecture.

Abstract:
A number of studies have shown that altered cellular glycosylation, as detected by binding of Helix pomatia lectin to paraffin sections, is associated with metastatic disease and consequent poor patient prognosis in breast and other cancers. In a 24-year retrospective study, sections of 373 primary breast cancers were stained for binding of the lectin using two different histochemical techniques: a direct method (using peroxidase-conjugated lectin) and an indirect method (using native, unconjugated lectin). Similar percentages of cases were positive (79%) and negative (21%) for lectin binding with either technique, but there was enormous inconsistency when individual cases were examined. A total of 38/373 (10.2%) cases that were negative by the indirect method were positive by the direct method, and 37/373 (9.9%) cases that were negative by the direct method were positive by the indirect method. Life tables calculated for lectin staining vs nonstaining cases showed a very strong correlation between lectin binding and long-term survival (p < 0.0001) when staining was performed by the indirect method, but only very weak correlation with prognosis (p < 0.03, borderline significance) when the direct technique was employed. SDS-PAGE revealed that there were differences in breast cancer glycoproteins recognized by native lectin and peroxidase-conjugated lectin immobilized on Sepharose 4B affinity beads. Helix pomatia lectin binding appears to be an intriguing and potentially valuable marker of biological behavior in breast cancer. This study emphasizes the importance of selecting an appropriate immunohistochemical technique for its visualization.

Published techniques for recovering parasites from fruit and vegetables are generally inadequate, with low and variable recovery efficiencies. Herein, we describe an improved method for analyzing fruit and vegetables for Cyclospora oocysts. The technique includes washing procedures, sonication, and separation using lectin-coated paramagnetic beads. Identification is by microscopy (differential interference contrast and fluorescence). Oocyst recovery efficiencies from mushrooms, lettuce, and raspberries were approximately 12%. Recovery efficiencies from bean sprouts were approximately 4%. Although no significant difference in recovery efficiency could be detected between samples processed using the lectin-coated beads and samples processed without this procedure, distinct advantages were apparent when the lectin-coated beads were used. A considerably smaller, cleaner final volume remained for microscopy, which increases the sensitivity of the technique and reduces operator time.

This paper deals with the problem of the translation of charactonyms (literary names which define their bearers) in Shakespeare's work. The charactonyms selected were classified into three groups, according to the transfer technique used: conservation of the English form, phonological adaptation and translation. The analysis showed that most translators maintain the English charactonyms in their original forms and do not say anything about their meanings. Palabras clave: Evaluación, lectura, tecnologías, rendimiento académicoASSESSMENT TECHNIQUES OF ENGLISH READING COMPREHENSION MEDIATED BY TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE COLLEGE STUDENT’S ACHIEVEMENT. AbstractImproving reading comprehension skills is fundamental to those students willing to enroll in undergraduate studies. This sequential-explanatory mixed methods research design attempted to measure the impact that English reading comprehension assessment had on 96 college students’ school performance after receiving a 15-hour instruction on reading evaluating techniques in technological-enriched environments. The data was collected through reading comprehension pre/post-tests and a semi-structured interview. A paired samples t-test and phenomenological approach were used to analyze the data. The students showed better results in reading when assessed through the "relate characteristics" technique. Although remarkable progress of critical engagement with the text was shown, it was inferred that students had some language knowledge deficiencies according to the evaluated level. Abstract:
Abstract: The legal systems, even if they may belong to the same branche of law, as is the case in France and Spain, are specific in each country and, therefore, different from the rest of the legal systems of other countries. This results in translation to a cultural anisomorphism. The translator must be aware of this in order not to fall into translation errors that will make it impossible for the reader to understand the text in the target language. It is important to know that, in legal translation, one cultural reality is not translated by another, but that the cultural reality of the source language must be expressed in the target language. This is presented as a challenge for the translator, who must have extensive cultural knowledge of both countries and an adequate documentation capacity. Therefore, this study aims to highlight the importance of cultural knowledge in translation and, more specifically, in legal translation through the analysis of a series of terms that come from the legal-criminal branch. In this analysis, we will find the explanation of the concept of the source language, the context, the proposal (or translation proposals), the translation technique we have used, as well as comments in which we explain their translation problems and their cultural anisomorphism. Keywords: cultural anisomorphism, cultural realities, translation techniques, legal translation, criminal terminology.

Abstract:
Abstract Objectives The expression of some micro RNAs is associated independently with visceral fat and metabolic disorders. However, the mechanisms of regulation by which these miRNAs could increase visceral fat and its possible association with metabolic disorders have not been fully elucidated. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate and compare the expression levels of miR-146b, miR-130, miR-181a5p, and miR-33a in subjects according to their visceral fat area and their metabolic state. Methods Men 25–45 years old (n = 118) with normal weight, overweight or obese (18.5–34.9 Kg/m2) were recruited for a cross-sectional study. After consent, anthropometric measures and body composition were evaluated by bioelectrical impedance analysis (Inbody S10). A blood sample was taken for analysis of glucose and lipid profile. Subjects were classified into six groups according to their body mass index (BMI), VAT area and metabolic alterations, (1: normal weight, <100 cm2 and no metabolic alterations, 2: overweight, <100 cm2 and no metabolic alterations, 3: overweight, ≥100 cm2 and no metabolic alterations, 4: overweight, <100 cm2 and metabolic alterations, 5: overweight, ≥100 cm2 and metabolic alterations, 6: obese, ≥140 cm2 and metabolic alterations). The expression levels of miR-33a, miR-155 y miR-181a-5p, were quantified by RT digital PCR technique, using serum samples. Reverse transcription was used to obtain complementary DNA (cDNA) (TaqMan® Reverse Transcription Kit) from RNA samples. Then cDNA was mixed with the specific miRNA primers and a fluorescent probe for DNA, and then the sample was transferred to a droplet generator (QX200 Droplet Generator, Bio-Rad). The generated droplets were amplified by conventional PCR. Finally, the PCR products will be collocated in the droplet lector QX200, and to analyze the number of droplets, the software QuantaSoft will be used. Differences between groups were tested with ANOVA and Tukey posthoc. Results A total of 300 subjects were evaluated, and 118 meet the inclusion criteria. According to their BMI, VAT area, clinical, and metabolic variables (blood pressure, glucose, and lipid profile), subjects were assigned to one of the six groups. Conclusions At the end of the study, we will have found if the proposed miRNAs could be used as biomarkers of metabolic disorders associated with visceral adiposity. Funding Sources DAIP 2019.

Low power nowadays High-power consumption has turned into a crucial design criterion for VLSI an emerging field. When it comes to energy efficiency, high power dissipation is not thought to be beneficial to battery life in the case of battery-powered applications. It reduces the efficiency, dependability, and cooling expenses of battery life. The high-frequency dynamic variation of inputs is heavily influenced by switching and short-circuit leakage power. There are several common methods for reducing the power consumption of circuits. The average power consumption consists of static and dynamic power consumption. Abstract:
Soya bean (Glycine max) contains large quantities of lectin, which has been implicated as an important anti-nutritional component of animal feeds; but the significance of this has previously been difficult to assess, since no simple method has been available to accurately measure lectin concentration. We have now developed an assay method suitable for the routine screening of animal feeds using minimal laboratory apparatus. The technique relies upon an enzyme linked immunusorbent assay (ELISA) system, to give a visible colour indication of the presence of SBL.Samples (100 ul) are serialy diluted on microtitre plates prior coated with affinity purified rabbit anti-SBL antibody. Bound lectins are then detected using a second anti-SBL antibody raised in sheep, followed by an alkaline phosphatase conjugated pig anti (goat) IgG. The addition of p-nitrophenyl phosphate disodium (Sigma 104) substrate gives a yellow colour in the presence of lectin.

Abstract:
Abstract Background: Lectin was initially called hemagglutinin or agglutinin because of its capacity to agglutinate human as well as human erythrocytes. They are a heterogeneous group of proteins or glycoproteins of nonimmune origin. Because of their chemical properties, they have become a useful tool in several fields such as immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, membrane structure, pharmacology, cancer research, clinical chemistry, and genetic engineering. Objective: The wide applications of lectins users urged the need to isolate lectins from a new strain of bacteria can produce new and high yield of lectin because the current production of lectin from Pseudomonas spp. is very expensive. The goal of this study was to screen the ability of Acinetobacter baumannii isolates to produce lectin and detection of its phenotypic and genotypic profiles and detection of lectin ability to inhibit ofbiofilm formation. Methods: Fifty-one isolates from different sources were collected and detected genetically by using the recA gene. Phenotypic detection of lectin by using semi-quantitative analysis and quantitative analysis in microtiter plate. Genotypic detection of lectin by designed lec gene and used PCR technique. The lectin was extracted by using glass beads and purified by chromatographyic technique followed by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for determination the molecular size of lectin and finally detection the spectrum of biofilm inhibition by the purified lectin toward biofilm producers. Results: Of 51 A. baumannii isolates, 17 (33.3%) have been found to produce lectin. Ten of 17 were sequenced, of which 2 were submitted and tested by the gene bank National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), and accession numbers (KX766405.1 and KX766406.1) were obtained. These 17 isolates were phenotypically and genotypically positive for lectin and showed different lec gene expression in semi-quantitative and quantitative analysis. The activities ranged between 4–128 U/mL. Lectin purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation was used to inhibit biofilm formation. We found reduction at three different types of bacteria ranging from 26% for Klebsiella pneumonia, 46.7% for P. stutzeri and 53% for A. baumannii. These results suggested that lectin has a promising application as an antibiofilm agent to combat the growing number of multidrug-resistant pathogen-associated infections. Conclusions: Lectin has been detected recently in A. baumannii, but the genetic property of this lectin has not yet been fully studied. In our study, we determined the presence of the lectin gene (lec gene) in A. baumannii by using PCR technique, and lec PCR products were identified with various source of isolation and sequenced to screening for epidemiology and submitted to the gene bank NCBI under accession number (KX766405.1 and KX766406.1). Highlights: A. baumannii has an ability to produce lectin protein; Lec gene was detected in A. baumannii, and the sequence was recorded under accession number KX766405.1 and KX766406.1.; Lectin was extracted by glass beads and purified by chromatographyic technique; Lectin had strong effect against biofilm formation.

Abstract:
We have developed a technique for quantitation of binding of fluorescent lectins to glycoconjugates in specimens of tumors derived from cultured human colorectal cancer cells. Tumor cells were injected subcutaneously into nude mice, giving rise to xenografts that resemble primary human colorectal cancers. The tumors were extracted with saline and were subjected to dialysis and lyophilization. Standardized amounts of the tumor extract were then incubated with fluorescent lectins and subjected to gel permeation liquid chromatography to separate lectin bound to high molecular weight glycoproteins from free (unbound) lectin, and were quantitated using a spectrofluorometer. This assay permitted quantitative measurement of the lectin bound to high molecular weight glycoconjugates such as mucin. The results of this assay were compared with the standard histochemical assessment of tissue labeling by fluorescent lectins. A close correlation between the two techniques was found, especially when little or no labeling was present. Greater variations were observed at higher levels of labeling. The quantitative assay confirms that lectins bind to high molecular weight mucin-type glycoconjugates on fixed sections of tumors, and supports the use of semi-quantitative histochemical assessments of tissue labeling.

Abstract:
Miracidia and in vitro-derived primary sporocysts of the avian schistosome Trichobilharzia ocellata were studied for the expression and the characteristics of glycoconjugate moieties comprising the surface coat. Using a panel of 9 peroxidase labelled lectins, several different lectin binding sites were demonstrated on the larvae. Fixed miracidia have binding sites for 7 of the lectins; wheat-germ agglutinin binds to both the ciliated plates and the tegumental ridges between them; the other 6 lectins bind to the plates only. Three of the miracidia-binding lectins, wheat-germ agglutinin, concanavalin A and peanut agglutinin, also bind to fixed sporocysts. Since the miracidial ridges are devoid of binding sites for concanavalin A and peanut agglutinin, whereas the sporocyst tegument binds these lectins, it appears that these sites become exposed during or shortly after transformation. In saturation experiments, low concentrations of peanut agglutinin and concanavalin A are bound more avidly by sporocysts than by miracidia, indicating a higher binding affinity of the former. The two larval forms do not differ in affinity for wheat-germ agglutinin but they have different binding capacities; when offered in high concentrations, more of this lectin is bound by sporocysts than by miracidia. Lectin binding was competitively inhibited by adding the appropriate free saccharides. Live larvae showed the same lectin binding pattern as did fixed specimens. Proteinase treatment reduced lectin binding to living and, to a lesser extent, to fixed larvae, suggesting that binding sites are constituents of proteoglycoconjugates. After SDS–PAGE of extracts from miracidia and sporocysts and subsequent Western blotting, some of the lectins failed to bind glycoproteins, others reacted with an array of bands. The patterns differed among the lectins and each lectin gave different patterns for miracidia and sporocysts. The results obtained with these two lectin-binding techniques support the conclusion that stage-specific proteoglycoconjugates occur at the surface of T. ocellata larvae.

Abstract:
Power dissipation has become a major concern in VLSI circuit design with the rapid launch of battery powered applications. In high-performance constructions, the leakage component of power consumption is comparable to the switching component. This percentage increases as the technology scales unless effective leak control techniques are in place. In the case of fault-tolerant applications it is also not necessary to adhere to the exact calculation method. Therefore, an approximate multiplier of 8 x 8 is developed in this article using several proposed techniques to reduce leakage power such as MTCMOS, DUAL-Vt, and LECTOR. All of the above techniques are simulated with a tanning tool using 90 nm technology.

Abstract:
A sensitive immunoenzymatic double-staining technique is presented for the simultaneous visualization of lectin-binding sites and antigenic structures detected by monoclonal antibodies. The lectin is demonstrated by an extended unlabeled peroxidase-antiperoxidase (PAP) technique and the monoclonal antibody by an alkaline phosphatase-antialkaline phosphatase (APAAP) method, which corresponds to the standard PAP technique. 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole (AEC) and fast blue BB salt serve as substrates for the peroxidase and the alkaline phosphatase, respectively. The antisera and the enzyme complexes raised in different animals enable the performance of three parallel incubation steps. The staining procedure requires three and a half hours altogether. This method proved to be highly discriminative and rather insensitive to interference by various artifacts.
