Abstract:
The use of discrete event simulation as a process analysis and improvement tool is no longer limited to industrial engineering curricula. With advancements in desktop computing power, we have seen user-friendly simulation software packages become available (e.g. ProModel, Arena, ProcessModel). However, we have found it desirable that students still learn the very basic concepts behind these simulation models in order to better understand their development and use. We present a simple classroom game that teaches students the basic discrete-event simulation concepts and processes without requiring them to learn all the underlying mathematics and scientific theory.

Abstract:
Pedagogical art technologies and methods to increase the efficiency of the teaching process are considered as innovative approaches to the pedagogical process. Within the framework of the article, new approaches to make the pedagogical process more creative were revealed, due to which a number of problems of pedagogical nature can be solved, including the organization of the process of teaching, socialization, upbringing, etc. Aim of the article: The aim of the research conducted within the framework of the article is to identify the importance of involving art technologies and methods in increasing the efficiency of the learning process, to interpret their role in terms of improving the learning process. A number of scientific-pedagogical research methods were used for the research, such as analysis, comparison, abstract, generalization, coordination. As a result of the study, we came to the conclusion that pedagogical art methods and technologies are unique pedagogical alternatives that can solve not only the problem of making the teaching process more active, creative and effective. Those can also contribute to the development of a person's creative potential, self- discovery and self-perception, as well as be useful in organizing joint educational activities for biologically healthy children and children with special needs as unique mechanisms of mental regulation, making the learning process more inclusive, collaborative and constructive. Learning strategies serve to improve the effectiveness of receiving and understanding any new information. This article devoted to the study of the learning strategies which influence to learner effectiveness as every learner individual and need various strategies to improve learning process. According to Horwitz (2000, p. 532) learners categorized into good and bad, intelligent and dull, motivated and unmotivated learners. And learning strategies can deal with different learners as Oxford stated (1990, p. 8) using various strategies make learning process easier, more enjoyable, faster and more effective.

Abstract:
Literature documents and represents the experiences of human beings in the form of novels, poetry and dramas. These experiences can also be made visual in movies and other enactments. EFL practitioners employ literature to teach English. This study investigated the differences in the learning processes of EFL learners using texts and movies in the Pakistani context. Macbeth and A Passage to India were selected arbitrarily for this study. The data were collected through classroom observations and interviews from Lahore and NUML University Peshawar. The participants were divided into two groups of twenty. The control group used written texts of the literary works, whereas the experimental group was taught through movies of the novel and the play. The study’s findings revealed both positive and negative effects on the learners. The use of text resulted in better writing skills, correct spellings, and sentences but tended to show weak speaking skills with the local pronunciation of English words. On the other hand, watching movies improved the learners’ fluency and pronunciation, but they had spelling and sentence construction problems. Therefore, it is recommended that both written and visual forms of literary works be used concomitantly.
