Abstract:
In order to determine the possible etiologic agents and their antibiotic sensitivities frorn patients with hernatologic malignancies, throat, nose, urine, fecal and blood specimens from 98 rnale and 38 female patients were evaluated microbiologically. Out of a total of 612 culture specirnens, the probable pathogens which were isolated, included 188 (30.72%) Gram positives and 66(10.78 %) Gram negatives. Bacteria which might have been possible cause of infection were not isolated from 358 specimens. The Gram positive bacterium most frequently isolated was S.aureus(39.8 %) the most effective antibiotic was amikacin (71 %) and the least effective was penicillin (34 %). Out of the Gram negative bacteria, E.coli was most frequently isolated and the most effective antibiotics were aztreonam (72 %), amikacin (71 %) and ofloxacin (71 %). The least effective were chloramphenicol (17 %) and amoxycillin (32 %).

Abstract:
This paper attempts to show first that the various interpretations of personal identity afforded by recent trends in phenomenology can be assembled into two distinctive groups. On the one hand, a description has been provided of movements, structures or orders into which supposedly subjectivity is dispersed or decentered (J. Patocka, H. Rombach, B. Waldenfels). On the other, it s contended that subjetivity develops on the ground of an original emotional dimension or as a reply to the requirement of responsibility for others (M. Henry, E. Levinas, P. Ricoeur). Second, the article tries to make clear that the post-Husserlian phenornenologies cannot elude the primary sense of identity which Husserl has designated with the name of ego-pole in order to highlight within the monad a centering and unity moment by which the ego itself is existent for itself in continous evidence (Hua. l, 100). This means that the ego is aware of itself in a radical an peculiar way invariably involved in all experience. This analysis further suggests that Husserl anticipates positions of the second trend when he inquires back into an undifferentiated primary horizon or discloses a mode of empathy which evades objectivation.

Electronic Thesis or Diss., Rennes 2, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023REN20042.

Full text
Abstract:
The last decade of the Polish sculptor Alina Szapocznikow's (1926-1973) career in Paris is a particularly rich case study for art history. Indeed, while the artist's work between her establishment in the French capital in 1963 and her death in 1973 belonged to sculpture, she challenged its traditional means. Its use of plastic, moulding and readymade objects, its increasing dematerialisation (in connection with conceptual art) and its utilitarian status (in the case of design objects) pushes its towards what has been called the "expanded field" of this medium, in a very singular way. The thesis thus aims to open up Szapocznikow's work in the light of a cultural history of this expanded field of sculpture, situating it within a history of materials, exhibitions, art criticism and the market, and placing it in dialogue with other artists of its time. Our study is divided into two parts which are two unfoldings of Szapocznikow's production in Paris. The first part looks at Szapocznikow and other artists' experiments with the utilitarian object, in the wake of the 1962 exhibition "Antagonismes 2 – L'Objet" at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, which sparked a vital debate about the role played by artists in inventing "useful forms”. The second part focuses on Szapocznikow's final years, when her experience of cancer reviving the trauma of the concentration camps results in an individual mythology that serves a narrative of the self as a body preparing for imminent death

NATIONAL TAIWAN NORMAL UNIVERSITY Education for Identity and Personality Development Wan Chia-chun ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is fourfold: 1. to survey theories of identity; 2. to investigate relationships between identity and personality development; 3. to explore strategies of developing healthy personality through self-identity; 4. to experiment with appropriate methods of identity and personality development of junior high school students. Through literature review and by the use of action research method, eight factors are drawn, namely physical figure, gender image, personal ideology, self-appraisal, family relationships, school relationships, friendships, and career expectation as aspects for development identity and personality. Throughout three-year research, the following results are found: 1. Identity means " I am the person as I perceived and will be." It implies " I am as I hoped and others recognized." and it includes self-acceptance, self-understanding, self-satisfaction, and self-esteem. 2. Although identity is life-long process, the period of adolescence is the stage of serious crisis, which is affected by family environment and school education. Junior high school education is at this stage. If this period of education is proper, it helps them develop proper identity and personality. 3. Parental relationship, parents'' attitudes toward their children and education, and teachers'' attitudes toward their students and teaching methods highly influence on the identity development of the young. 4. When parents, teachers, school staff, and community organizations work together to assist students to face frustrations and crisis, to get a better self-understanding, and to accept self and others, their self-identity is improved and stable; eventually their personality is more admirable.

Abstract The annalist went on to describe how her father, “as some compensation for thwarting her holy designs, allowed her the disposal of the interest of her for tune (a handsome sum) in charity or otherwise as she pleased.”2 Gould chose to use the money to support philanthropic work in the city of Lisbon, where she resided with her parents. Abstract:
Abstract Although predicate nominals are certainly not immune to takeover by the verbal or the locational strategy, they form a category which in many languages has its own encoding strategy. In such a case we will say that a language has a NOMINAL STRATEGY at its disposal. As it turns out, the nominal strategy manifests itself across languages in various different morphosyntactic ways. The forms which the nominal strategy may take will be explored in Sections 3.2-3.5. Following that, several explanatory issues regarding predicate nominal encoding can be formulated. In Section 3.7 I will develop the Principle of ldentity Pressure, which can be argued to provide an explanation of the unique typological characteristics of the nominal strategy.
