Abstract In what follows I analyse how two Neapolitan songs enhance viewer perspective of the personalities of the protagonists of the classic film of Italian neorealism, Ladri di biciclette (Bicycle Thieves) by De Sica (1948), Antonio Ricci and his son Bruno. The first, 'Ciccio formaggio', casts into relief Antonio's masculine self-image, particularly his reaction to the impact of unemployment on his traditional role of pater familias and to the possibility of public humiliation, should he fail to retrieve his bicycle. While 'Ciccio' sheds light on the tension in the marital relationship, 'Tammurriata' allows the viewer to consider Bruno's marginalization within a self-perpetuating cycle of poverty, thus shifting focus, at least partially, from the father to the long-term effects on the son (for which Antonio feels shame born of inadequacy).

Abstract:
Being one of the most influential cinematic movements in film history, Italian neorealism has not been very easy to define. Although one can easily recognize a neorealist film, not all neorealist films share the exact same characteristics. In this paper, four films that have often been labeled as neorealist will be discussed in light of their makers’ views on neorealism and the general characteristics of neorealism as a movement. These films are Roberto Rossellini’s Germania anno zero (1948), Vittorio De Sica’s Ladri di biciclette (1948) and Umberto D. (1952), and lastly Federico Fellini’s La strada (1954).

Abstract:
Italian neorealist films were quite popular in Stalinist-era Poland (1945–53). As part of the propaganda strategy, they were used to create a negative image of life in western countries, thus confirming the omnipresent vision of ‘rotten capitalism’. The social criticism contained in neorealism was manipulated through a modal framework that explained to the Polish audiences all phenomena as a product of a bad social system based on injustice and exploitation. The aim of this article is to examine Polish reviews of two neorealist films: Ladri di biciclette (Bicycle Thieves) () and La terra trema (The Earth Trembles) () both presented to Polish audiences in 1951.

Oltre a collocare l’opera del regista italiano nel contesto politico, sociale e culturale dell’ultimo decennio del regime fascista, vengono analizzati i messaggi impliciti delle singole pellicole, abilmente nascosti sotto una maschera comica: p.es. l’emancipazione femminile, il carattere repressivo delle istituzioni e la problematica del "Strapaese e Straccittà". Nie tylko "Złodzieje rowerów" – faszystowskie Włochy w pierwszych filmach Vittoria de Siki Artykuł analizuje cztery pierwsze filmy Vittoria De Siki: "Szkarłatne róże" (1940), "Magdaleno, dwója ze sprawowania" (1941), "Teresa Venerdì" (1941) oraz "Un Garibladino in convento" (1942), pod kątem ich kontekstu politycznego, społecznego i kulturowego. Analiza poszczególnych dzieł pozwala ukazać ich zawoalowane przesłanie (np. dotyczące emancypacji kobiet, represyjnej natury instytucji oraz problematyki "Strapaese i Straccittà"), ukryte pod maską komizmu.

Abstract:
Tra tutte le discipline che si sono interessate al mondo del fumetto, la semiotica ha il merito di aver offerto gli strumenti più elaborati per indagare il senso ultimo del testo su diversi piani, dall’elemento grafico a quello più strettamente narrativo. Nell’ambito di questo percorso di ricerca, tali principi hanno rappresentato gli strumenti principali per indagare più nel dettaglio la dimensione del fumetto parodico-caricaturale, con particolare riguardo per l’approccio della semiotica passionale. Concentrandosi in particolare sulla produzione fumettistica francese, la ricerca ha tratteggiato i contorni della storia della caricatura, per poi addentrarsi nell’analisi semiotica di alcuni casi di studio particolarmente rilevanti. Tra questi, fondamentale è stato il riferimento all’atipico western di Christophe Blain, Gus: un’opera che gioca con la dimensione grafica per costruire molteplici livelli di senso, trascinando il lettore in una costruzione testuale elaborata, nascosta dietro l’apparente leggerezza delle vicende antieroiche di cowboy innamorati e ladri ammogliati.

Abstract:
En el mundo de hoy tener una mascota es muy frecuente en todos los hogares. En Lima Metropolitana, 1.37 millones de hogares tiene alguna mascota en casa, esto representa el 55% de hogares limeños, y se estima que para el 2021 la cifra llegará a los 1.45 millones (Ipsos, 2016). Nuestra investigación nos permite conocer que las personas que tienen un perro, por lo general consideran al can como un miembro más del hogar, sin embargo el cuidado hacia las mascotas a veces no se puede dar por la falta de tiempo que presentan sus dueños y que incluso impide que puedan salir a pasear a sus mascotas por lo menos una vez al día. Por ello, si no ocurre esto los perros sufren, de estrés y de enfermedades somáticas que se desencadenan, además de problemas de conducta que a la larga acarrean problemas para los dueños y sus hogares (Mármol, 2016). Esta coyuntura da pie a que se cree “Ladra Seguro” proyecto que busca formalizar un servicio de paseadores de perros, apoyándose en herramientas tecnológicas de última generación como un aplicativo que brinde a los dueños de mascotas un servicio seguro y de buena calidad. Adicionalmente, se desarrollará un adiestramiento que permita a los caninos obtener todo el ejercicio y cuidado que requieran durante el tiempo que están fuera de su hogar.
In today's world, having a pet is very common in every home. In Metropolitan Lima, 1.37 million households have a pet at home, this represents 55% of Lima households, and it is estimated that by 2021 the figure will reach 1.45 million (Ipsos, 2016). Our research allows us to know that people who have a dog, generally consider the dog as another member of the household, however care for pets sometimes cannot be given due to the lack of time that their owners present and that they even prevent them from being able to walk their pets at least once a day. Therefore, if this does not happen, dogs suffer from stress and somatic diseases that are triggered, in addition to behavior problems that in the long run cause problems for the owners and their homes (Mármol, 2016). This situation gives rise to the creation of "Safe Barks", a project that seeks to formalize a service for dog walkers, relying on state-of-the-art technological tools such as an application that provides pet owners with a safe and good quality service. In addition, a training will be developed that allows the canines to obtain all the exercise and care they require during the time they are away from home.

Cette étude permet de montrer les valeurs culturelles et surtout la place et les fonctions qu'occupe l'enfant au sein de la société lari. Tout le système social est cimente par la référence aux ancêtres qui en sont les fondements et les garants de l'ordre social. La tradition légitimée par les ancêtres est le facteur principal de l'intégration sociale. En effet, l'enfant est pris en charge à tous les moments de son existence, soit d'une manière collective, soit d'une manière individuelle par la communauté et ses différentes institutions et personnes. L’individu n'a pas de vie sociale propre, il n'existe qu'en fonction du groupe dont il fait partie et auquel il doit son activité et le produit de son travail. La société en tant que telle n'est jamais remise en question : on ne cherche pas à s'affranchir de la tutelle de ses parents pour aller vivre ailleurs, on vise plutôt à s'intégrer à la société en devenant plus responsable et en participant à son tour à sa reproduction.

Aquesta tesi té per objectiu analitzar i comprendre la capacitat de Ferrer Saiol com a traductor de l’Opus agriculturae de Pal•ladi. D’aquesta traducció, redactada pels volts del 1385, en conservem dos exemplars posteriors, un en català (València, Biblioteca Municipal Serrano Morales, 6437) i un en castellà (Madrid, Biblioteca Nacional de España, 10211), que ens ajuden a entendre fins a quin punt Saiol comprèn l’obra llatina i de quines fonts disposava per al seu treball. Dividim aquest estudi en tres seccions. La primera versa sobre la difusió de l’Opus agriculturae durant l’Edat Mitjana i el Primer Renaixement. Incloem la pervivència de l’obra pal•ladiana a la Corona d’Aragó i la traducció del protonotari Ferrer Saiol. En la segona secció analitzem els dos testimonis conservats i la seva filiació; examinem les fonts llatines emprades per Ferrer; i realitzem una anàlisi del tresor lexicogràfic, morfològic i sintàctic, nucli del nostre estudi. La tercera és una edició del llibre primer de l’Opus agriculturae en què incloem el text llatí canònic i les dues versions iberorromàniques.
The aim of this thesis is to analyse and to understand Ferrer Saiol's skills as a translator of Palladius' Opus agriculturae. Only two manuscripts of this translation written around 1385 have reached us: one of them, in Catalan, (from Biblioteca Municipal Serrano Morales in Valencia, 6437) and the other one, in Spanish, (from Biblioteca Nacional de España in Madrid, 10211). Both texts help us to discern which Ferrer Saiol’s comprehension of the Latin work was and which sources were followed to make his translation. Our thesis is divided into three parts. The first one deals with Opus agriculturae’s dissemination during the Middle Ages and the First Renaissance. It also includes the presence to the Palladian work in the Kingdom of Aragon as well as Saiol’s translation. The second section analyses both preserved testimonies and their filiation by examining the Latin sources used by Ferrer and it studies their lexicographical, morphological and syntactic treasure, which is the core of our thesis. The third part consists of an edition of the Opus agriculturae first book, that includes the canonical Latin text and both Ibero-Romance versions.

A N-glicosilação é um processo pós-traducional que se caracteriza pela adição de um oligossacarídeo a cadeia lateral de um resíduo de asparagina, contida na assinatura D/E-X-N-X-S/T em bactérias. Na última década, a partir do organismo modelo Campylobacter jejuni identificaram-se diversas enzimas participantes da rota da N-glicosilação. Dentre estas, a proteína responsável pela transferência em bloco da cadeia oligossacarídica para a proteína aceptora é a oligossacariltransferase PglB, cuja estrutura foi obtida por cristalografia em 2011. A partir destes avanços, o presente trabalho visa contribuir no entendimento do processo de N-glicosilação ao acrescentar à PglB cristalografada a presença de explícita de solvente, flexiblidade e substratos. Ainda, busca caracterizar filogeneticamente a proteína compreendendo os três domínios da vida, descrevendo a sua história evolutiva. Os resultados obtidos indicam que a PglB pode possuir diferentes conformações para o sítio catalítico, algo não observado na estrutura cristalográfica, alternando entre esses estados durante o tempo. Além disso, a proteína demonstrou realizar movimentos que sugerem a existência de uma espécie de alosteria no sítio catalítico, onde a proteína aceptora glicosilada tem sua saída facilitada a partir de alterações conformacionais comunicadas entre as cavidades da enzima. O motivo conservado WWDYGY manteve-se fortemente interagindo com o substrato, enquanto o motivo MIV pouco interagiu com a treonina da posição +2. Dessa maneira, os dados desse trabalho auxiliam no entendimento da glicobiologia estrutural da PglB e trazem novas informações relativas a catálise. Adicionalmente, dados preliminares sobre a ancestralidade dessa enzima formam a primeira amostragem de uma árvore compondo os três domínios, assim como uma segunda árvore descreve a transição do motivo MIV no domínio Bacteria.
N-glycosylation is a post-translational feature which is characterized by the addition of an oligosaccharide to the side-chain of an asparagine residue presented in the motif D/E-X-N-X-S/T in Bacteria. In the last decade, studies in the C. jejuni species identified many enzymes participating in the N-glycosylation pathway. Among these, the protein responsible for the en bloc transference of the oligosaccharide chain to the protein acceptor is the oligosaccharyltransferase PglB, whose structure was obtained in 2011 by x-ray crystallography. Departing from these findings, the present work aims to contribute for the comprehension of the N-glycosylation process by adding explicit solvent, flexibility and substrates to the PglB crystallographic structure. Still, we attempt to infer the phylogeny of the protein comprising the three domains of life, describing the evolutionary history of the enzyme. The obtained results indicate that PglB may possess different conformations for the catalytic site, a characteristic not observed in the crystal structure, alternating between states. Besides, the protein demonstrated movements that suggest the existence of an allosteric mechanism in the catalytic site, where the exit of the glycosylated protein is facilitated by conformational transitions communicated between cavities. The conserved motif WWDYGY performed strong interactions with the proteic substrate, while the MIV motif did not. Thus, these data may contribute to understand the structural glycobiology of PglB and bring new insights regarding the catalysis mechanism. Additionally, preliminary data involving the ancestrality of this enzyme demonstrated the first phylogenetic tree comprising the three domains, as well as a second tree which describes the transition of the MIV motif in the Bacteria domain.

Linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) has been paid much attention in academic and industrial fields. However, the selection of the order for LADRC controller design and the choice of parameter b0 in system correcting are key facts which are still being faced by designer. In this paper, an effective method about how to select the order of LADRC and the parameter b0 is given first. Frequency analysis often used by engineers for designing controller, the normal transfer function form of LADRC is constructed, so the loop gain, close loop transfer function and disturbance transfer function to a general high-order system are presented and can be easily used. The example shows that the proposed method is easy to apply and verified the lower-order LADRC can obtain the better effective than PID and high-order LADRC, and the frequency response analysis of a thermal power plant is elaborated and the simulation result indicates that LADRC has a strong robustness against the large variation of parameters in the plant mode.

Abstract:
This paper proposes a linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) for gird-connected inverter with LCL filter to deal with parameters variation, internal coupling and external disturbance. Relative degree of plant is used to design LADRC and on the basis of relationship between LADRCs parameters and bandwidth, the parameters tuning are sum up in several guidable points. It is demonstrated that LADRC presents a good dynamic performances, high disturbance rejection and extremely robust to parameters variation in Matlab/Simulink.

Abstract:
Since dynamics of a fast nuclear power reactor is quite nonlinear, uncertain and time-varying. Moreover, the reactor period depends on the neutron lifetime and it has a crucial importance in reactor power so it is necessary to have a control system for the reactor power. A reliable method for power-level control named linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) based on power-level for a fast nuclear power reactor is presented in this paper. The reactor core is simulated based on the point kinetics equations and one delayed neutron group, fast reactor reactivity equation which is very different from thermal reactors and thermal-hydraulics model of the reactor core. This model is completed by calculating initial value of related parameters and system debugging. Finally, it is prove that this model is reasonable and can be used for controlling. The structure of LADRC is very simple and the Bandwidth-Parameterization based controller tuning is easy. It consists of a PD controller and an extended state observer (ESO). Two LADRC systems are designed for power control with model information and without model information respectively. Simulation results show that both the designed controllers have satisfactory performance over the wide range of reactor operating conditions, while LADRC with model information has faster response, less overshoot, better disturbance rejection ability, greater robustness.

Abstract:
Nano-imprinting lithography (NIL) has been developed over 15 years and has shown its great potentials for nanopatterning and nano-fabrication. In this paper, new ideas on improving current nano-imprinting methods have been proposed and preliminary experimental tests are carried out. These proposed nano-imprinting methods are all based on the utilization of pulsed laser sources, either in UV or IR region, and can be easily implemented into a roller-based configuration, which is more effective and much faster than conventional planar type nano-imprinting methods. First of all, based on the Laser Assisted Direct Imprinting (LADI) method proposed in 2002, a modified roller-based LADI method is developed by applying a cylindrical quartz roller for mechanically loading as well as for optically focusing of a deep UV laser beam into a line. This modification not only fulfills a continuous type of LADI process but also more efficiently utilizes the laser energy so that large-area LADI is possible. Experimental testing demonstrates an imprinting rate of 3∼10 cm2/min. Secondly, a new nano-imprinting lithography based on pulsed infrared laser heating is proposed and demonstrated. It utilizes the partial transparency of silicon crystals at IR spectrum to heat up the photo-resist layer. Possible improvements and applications on this IR-NIL will be addressed. Finally, a new method of direct contact printing and patterning of a thin metal film on silicon substrate based on the idea of nano-imprinting is presented. This method combines the effects of loaded contact pressure and IR pulsed laser heating at the metal-film/substrate interface to form a stronger bonding between them, and therefore complete the direct pattern transferring of metal film on substrate. Good experimental results are observed and possible applications will be discussed.
