Abstract:
This article examines the history of the origin of Kyrgyz satire, the beginning and the emergence of satire in oral folk art, and development trends of Kyrgyz satire during the Soviet period. The origins of the history of the birth of Kyrgyz satire lie in the inexhaustible folk oral creativity. Due to the fact that satire by its nature is closely related to mentality, everyday life of the people and focuses on the character, behavior of a person, its examples can be considered in the proverbs, fables, stories of Apendi, Zhaerenche Chechen, Akyl Karachach, stories of the people's humorists and many others. Also, in the trilogy "Manas" and in such small epics as "Er Toshtuk", "Zhanyl Myrza" and in a lot of satirical ridicule. Satirical elements at the end of XIX-th at the beginning of the XX-th centuries developed in the work of akyns-improvisers, in professional literature - in the works of M. Elebaev, A. Tokombaev, K. Malikov, J. Bokonbaeva, later R. Shukurbekov, M. Alybaeva, B. Sarnoeva, E. Ibraeva, J. Ryspaeva and others. In general, Kyrgyz satire, like world satire, has recently been developing into traditional and new format, innovative in nature.

Abstract:
Having a separate place in the public consciousness (according to the critical point of view), satirical or humorous artistic thinking, which manages to approach literary creativity from a different angle, acquires a specific form as a work of art, and the personal creativity of a poet or writer is of great importance. Of course, when a creative person expresses his attitude to funny events, he does not intend to write in only one genre, but at the same time he is engaged in a wide genre range in order to make the thought satirical or humorous, and tries to place his own content from it. Typing genres, based on a known research problem, should generalize and draw a conclusion. Since 1957, satirical magazines have become more active, which, along with operational reviews, began to publish purposefully readable small satirical works, accompanied by funny words. Since it was impossible to raise the prestige of a magazine that was limited to criticism in all cases, poets and writers who turned to this genre were obliged to write original works that would cheer up the people using various genres of satire and humor. The fact that the authors, who began to gain fame in their chosen direction, found their place in Kyrgyz literature and began to be discussed in different conditions, also revealed the need to study this issue in literary science.

"Lexical and semantic correlations of verbs with figurative-characterizing meaning in the Khakas and Altai languages (in Contrast with the Kipchak languages)." Abstract:
We study the correlations between figurative-characterizing verbs in Turkic languages of Siberia (Altai, Khakas) and Kipchak languages (Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Bashkir). In these languages, we distinguish a small ancient group of figurative stems common for all Turkic, and sometimes also Mongolian and Tungusic languages. In the Altai and Khakass languages, there are commonalities and differences in the formation of complex words from figurative bases both between these languages themselves and with Kipchak. One common trait of these languages is the simultaneous formation of figurative-characterizing verbs and their Aktionsart meaning defined by an auxiliary verb (in analytic word formation) or certain affixes: =y characterizes a state while =ŋda ~ =ŋna ~ =ŋnaa denotes an evenly distributed meaning of action. The =(а)y affix is also found in the Mongolian language while =ŋda ~ =ŋna ~ =ŋnaa is typical for the Siberian and Kipchak languages. The difference in the formation of complex verbs with figurative-characterizing meaning lies in the usage of different verb components: Alt. et= ‘to do’; Khak. tüs= ‘to go down’, pol= ‘to be’, it= ‘to do’ (rarely); Kyrg., Kaz. et= ‘to do’, ber= ‘to take’, qaq= ‘to knock’, etc. The analysis of correlations has shown their small number among complex words and greater number among synthetic words, with a high number of Mongolian loanwords common for Siberian and Kipchak languages. In figurative-characterizing verbs, most correlations found in Siberian languages (without those in Kipchak) are derived from all-Turkic stems. No Altai-Kipchak correlations without their presence in the Khakass language were found, while there are a few correlations with Kyrgyz language. Also, no Khakas-Kipchak correlations were detected.

Abstract:
An article analyzes the actual problems of language profiling, which is currently one of the most important studies of both the Kyrgyz language and Kyrgyz literature. The role of language, which is the main medium of communication, reviving artistic work, creating imagery, beauty, and expressiveness of speech, has been determined. It has been noted that it is poets and writers who use language in different ways to create a stylistic effect, and the main task of linguistics is to learn the language and style of writers. The most important object of research in linguistics is oxymoron. The article conducts a scientific and theoretical analysis of oxymoron. Oxymoron is regarded as a syntactic technique, formed based on an unusual combination of opposing concepts, as a peculiar figure of speech, created by a combination of words with opposite meanings. It is noted that now the oxymoron is used as a language norm in colloquial speech, journalism, in artistic works, that a person’s worldview, his ability to think, and imagination are expressed through speech activity with the help of language. As the examples show, on the one hand, if the oxymoron as the object of study is not subjected to extensive research, it is impossible to determine the nature and detail of speech. On the other hand, the author’s personal style, originality, and writing character are fully disclosed only when a high level of stylistic analysis of the work is carried out. In the example of the works of Ashim Dzhakypbekov, linguistic data on the internal structure of texts and themes of oxymorons are given. The oxymorons in the artistic world of the greatest master of the word, creatively using the wealth of the Kyrgyz language, have been deeply analyzed. The specificity of oxymorons in the work of Ashim Dzhakypbekov is considered together with the plot of the works. Text materials have been analyzed to determine the vocabulary richness of the Kyrgyz language, the importance and possibilities of linguistic means of expressiveness, the comprehensiveness of perception of reality with the help of expressions consisting of two contradictory words or phrases, and their impact on perception.

Abstract:
The article provides an overview of the works of Kyrgyz ethnopedagogues studying how the ideas of patriotic education are reflected in the folklore heritage. The views of Kyrgyz ethnopedagogues who express ideas on ethnopedagogy and patriotic education in folklore works are explained in a new way. The article was devoted to researchers of the theory and history of ethnopedagogy. In our opinion, in the patriotic education of students, works of literature perform the following functions: a communicator that unites in the collective recognition of the ideals, values of patriotic personalities in the children's environment; a means that allows a teacher-educator to instill in students feelings, values about the Motherland and patriotism; a means that deepens, complements, strengthens inner care and love for the Motherland, place birth, civic duty to the Motherland, reflection on their social role, as well as a means of self-education. In the studies of a number of scientists, opinions are expressed about Kyrgyz folklore, ethnography, philosophy, and pedagogical views in oral folk art.

Through the case study of a visual arts exhibition on the Kyrgyz Revolution, (...) Ketsin! (May 2013), this article traces the complex set of factors that influence how a transnational exhibition is interpreted. Combining literatures on visual representation, the role of intentionality in authorship, and, museum and gallery studies, I propose here the notion of ‘entangled interpretations’ to convey the overlapping and muddled layers rather than discrete parts that together constitute interpretation. These layers comprise: the artworks; other works in the same genre and other works by the same artists; the exhibition design and display; the architecture of the venue; the artists’ intentions; the roles of commissioner, sponsor and curator; and, the split audience: original and intended.

Abstract:
This article analyzes the significance of the epic «Manas» in the historical heritage of the Kyrgyz people, as well as its status and role in the modern cultural space of the republic. The significance of the epic «Manas» is defined as a core of traditional kyrgyz culture and one of the main institutions of modern artistic culture. Examines creative experiences in the interpretation of epic images embodied in the Kyrgyz fine art of the twentieth century (Theodore Gertsen, Taalai Kurmanov, Turgunbai Sadykov). The problem of inculturation of young generation through the use of epic heritage is raised. We are talking about multi-dimensional use of the rich content of artistic images of the epos in different spheres of culture and purposeful inclusion of the young generation of different ages to the system of fundamental values contained in them. In addition, the question is raised about the need to create modern professional art works based on the epos on a solid literary basis, on the basis of serious drama and a deep reading of the images and precepts of the ancestors, accumulated in the great poetic heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

Abstract:
The relevance of this article is due to the fact that in the scholarly literature there are virtually no works in which the Manas epic would be used as the main source for the study of military affairs of the Kyrgyz people. The exception is the article by Saul Abramzon “Features of military organization and technology among the Kyrgyz people (according to historical and ethnographic data and materials of the Manas epic)”, in which the author brilliantly considered some aspects of military affairs of the Kyrgyz people. Another work is an essay by Zair Mamytbekov “Reflection of life and struggle of Kyrgyz people in the Manas epic”, which contains sections devoted to the subject of our interest. The works of Viktor Zhirmunsky “Introduction to the study of the Manas epic” and Alexandr Bernshtam “The era of the Manas epic” are also important for us, which analyze separate issues related to military affairs of the Kyrgyz people, such as weapons of Manas, the retinue of Manas, etc. The works of the above-mentioned scientists served as a methodological basis for the work and determined the main methods of research, which were comparative-historical and historical-typological. As is known, the formation of the Manas heroic epic took place over many centuries in two major historical and cultural regions: in Southern Siberia and Central Asia (Saian-Altai) and in the mountains and valleys of Tien-Shan and Central Asia. The Manas epic belongs to the developed, classical forms of heroic tales, the development of the plot of which was dominated by historical events related to the real struggle of the Kyrgyz people against foreign invaders. In accordance with this, materials of the Manas epic become for us one of the most important sources in the study of military affairs of the Kyrgyz people, which can partially supplement the data of written sources and archaeological monuments. This article attempts to establish, as far as possible, certain forms of military organization, armament, characteristic features of the military art of the Kyrgyz people as they are reflected in the Manas heroic epic. The artistic impression of individual aspects of the military affairs of the Kyrgyz people is considered in the article in a comparative-historical plan with the data of written sources and archaeological materials concerning the military art of the nomads of Southern Siberia, Central and Middle Asia. The result of the study was the conclusion that the military art of the Kyrgyz people was at a high level for its time and evolved with the achievements of surrounding peoples and absorbed the richest military experience of the nomads of the Eurasian steppes of the early and developed Middle Ages.

Abstract:
The article draws attention to the role of mythology in the literature of the twentieth century, particularly in postmodernism. It is asserted that the use of myth allows you to achieve various artistic goals: create images, convey relationships. It is noted that the mythological symbolism fits well into the process of formation of intertextuality as the main feature of postmodernism. The main statements are illustrated through the work of Ch. Aitmatov on the example of the novel “When the mountains are served” (“The Eternal Bride”). The writer uses mythological plot, which is transformed and acquires a new sound and meaning, corresponding to modern reality. In the modern world, the synthesis of mythology and realism has become an integral part of culture. These changes gave impetus to the search for new signs and symbols in the literary process. Myth, parable, legend have an active formative influence on modern prose, contribute to the appearance of images-symbols, images-metaphors, images-allegories. The myth, crystallized for centuries and even millennia of its existence in the minds of different peoples, people of different eras, gives the most vivid examples of life situations, eternal emotions – such as love, loyalty, hatred, betrayal, selflessness. Ch. Aitmatov’s mastery in this work consists primarily in the fact that the actual biblical events are pushed into the background here, as it were, and the author's main attention is focused on the study of the psychosocial state of the planet. The theme of Zoroastrianism is introduced through myths: the people believe that this is the only way to return the “Eternal Bride”. In the image of Ch. Aitmatov, myths change their structure. They become closer to modern life, synthesizing samples of the mythical creativity of the Kyrgyz people with the actual problems of our time, the writer creates a truly philosophical and psychological novel embodying the sacred covenant of the ancestors about love and protection of nature. Thus, the commonality between the symbolic image of Zhaabars and Arsen seems obvious, the writer turns to the origins of national cultures, to mythopoetic models of artistic thinking, deeply reveals the spiritual world of his heroes. In his works, Ch.Aitmatov through folk mythology was able to reveal the multifaceted symbolism of the meaning of human existence, preserved in the mythological consciousness of the people. It is no coincidence that the myth - making of Ch. Aitmatov became not only a school for Turkic writers, but also a moral reference point in the development of the mythological tradition. It is discussed the features of postmodernism at the final part of the article, its difference from other directions. The use of mythologems, their creative processing is evidence of the originality of the mythological thinking of modern writers.

The article deals with the translation issues of lacunas of activity as cultural lacunae which are an integral part of the Kyrgyz culture and adequate interpretation of which plays a great role in intercultural communication. Through translated works of art cultures undoubtedly communicate in many ways. Traditions, rituals and other behavioral peculiarities characteristic to one culture might be quite unknown or even seem strange to foreign readers. The author tried to give examples for lacunas of activity described in the novels by Ch. Aitmatov and to show the difficulties of lacunas of activity translation as none of the methods proposed by scholars can be used in transforming them into English. Comparing lacunas of activity in the ST and TT, it has been found out that gestures, movements, actions that follow talking reflected in the works of art can’t be eliminated, compensated or commented in literary translation therefore it will be challenging for foreign recipients. Indifferent readers will find them strange while concerned ones will get more information about another culture. This way cultures communicate with each-other through translation.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the historical and philosophical analysis of the work of the Kyrgyz humanist writer of the Soviet period, Chingiz Aitmatov, whose early work is characterised as a fascination with the “Soul of Faust.” (Spirit of Faust) The result of this was the writer’s earlier works, where he fervently perceives the ideas of progress, socialism, and enlightenment, in other words, the main ideas of the modern era. Later, under the huge influence of Russian classical literature, as well as active study of traditional Kyrgyz culture, he spoke on such fundamental metaphysical topics as people, personality, fate, morality, etc., thereby trying to get rid of the “Soul of Faust” (Spirit of Faust), more and more asserting himself as a traditional humanist. But despite these attempts, the writer still retained some ambivalence: on the one hand, he acted as a staunch critic of modernity, and on the other, he perceived the modernization process as an objective development of history that needs to be perceived and comprehended. The results of the writer's later ideas are new concepts such as “Mankurt” and “Ixrod” usually used to describe the consciousness of a person who became possible at the junction of modernity with tradition. To a certain extent, these concepts are identical to the idea of “DasMan” by M. Heidegger. This indicates that after the Second World War, a critical understanding of the ideals of modernity reigned among European intellectuals, to which Chingiz Aitmatov also adjoins.

The article is devoted to the life and activity of Turkologist, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Bolot Muratalyuly Yunusaliev (1913-1970). The outstanding scientist, whose 110th anniversary of birth was celebrated by the Kyrgyz Republic this year, left behind a significant creative legacy. A talented researcher, being a graduate of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute, began his career as a teacher and wrote a Primer Textbook for Kyrgyz schools. During difficult years, he served as the Minister of Education of Kyrgyzstan and the rector of the Kyrgyz State University. Nevertheless, science was the main vocation, passion and life’s activity for B.M. Zhunusaliev. Firstly, he was a famous scientist who wrote such fundamental works as “Kyrgyz Lexicology”, “Kyrgyz Dialectology”. His research in the field of linguistics was highly appreciated by such prominent Turkic scholars, as K.K. Yudakhin, V.V. Reshetov, A.K. Borovkov, N.K. Dmitriev, K.M. Musaev and others. Secondly, B.M. Yunusaliev made a great contribution to the Manas studies. He not only defended the great Kyrgyz epic from ideological attacks, but also combined the versions of the storytellers Sagymbay Orazbakov and Sayakbay Karalaev into one whole (“Manas”, “Semetey”, “Seytek”) and published it in four books. His preface, written for the first volume, is considered by experts to be one of the best articles about this grandiose epic. Another merit of B.M. Yunusaliev is that he found handwritten books of one of the founders of Kyrgyz written literature, Moldo Niyaz, and donated them to the manuscript collection of the National Academy of Sciences. Thus, 171А.Ж. Шарип Turkic Studies Journal 4 (2023) 163-171thanks to him, the poet’s legacy, banned in Soviet times, entered scientific circulation during the years of independence. The analysis of the types of dialogue in works of art helped to identify not only the specifics of the individual authors use of words, the peculiarities of the style of an individual writer or the figurative system of a particular work of art, but also an attempt was made to establish general patterns in the use of types of dialogue that help in disclosing the idea of a work, in the internal the world of heroes. This orientation was motivated, first of all, by educational goals- the search for the most effective ways to study the types of dialogue in a literary text, which are an important component of the structure of a prose work, which have their own functions and tasks.

Abstract:
This article deals with issues related to one of the key issues in the theory of translation. In particular, on the example of specific language illustrations, theoretical developments, models for translating lacunar vocabulary, namely ethnographic lacunae, which reflect cultural-specific concepts related to various aspects and manifestations of the spiritual and material culture of certain peoples, were considered. And also, on the example of relevant fragments from works of art and scientific works, a number of theoretical models for the translation of non-equivalent vocabulary, including ethnographic lacunae, are analyzed. As the most common techniques, such techniques as descriptive (explanatory) translation and the creation of analogue correspondences were considered, which are actively used in the transformational theory of translation as an effective model in recreating both the semantic and pragmatic components of the original.

Abstract:
Background: this article is devoted to the work of the Kyrgyz Soviet writer ChingizAytmatov. In the vast world of fiction, Aytmatov's works amaze us with their figurative system. Against the background of everything and everyone, admires us with the simplicity, beauty, the variety of images created by the writer, whether it is the image of a person, politician, journalist, village shepherd, tree, horse, whale, ocean, etc.The Sarozek steppes, the vastness of space, Issyk-Kul, the Kremlin, Red Square in Moscow, a yurt in a Kyrgyz village, a church choir, Shostakovich's music, Georgian singing, Baikonur, legends about mankurt and many other concepts and phenomena of humanity make up the figurative system of ChingizAytmatov. The created artistic images cover huge layers of the life of peoples, an individual person, accompanying a person with his constant anxieties, experiences, joy, gains, losses and much of what we call life. Results: Reading Aytmatov, getting imbued with his images, we are more and more convinced that literature in a number of other arts is closer and more understandable to a person, because the main means of artistic expression is the word, this is a natural need for communication between people. We love to speak out, hear someone's confession; we simply cannot do without speech. And then we ask ourselves the question, what is this - the art of the word, how the word turns into an artistic image and makes us compassionate, laugh and cry, think, agree and argue, and most importantly receive aesthetic pleasure, because literature is an art. Conclusions: All ingenious is simple. Characters, descriptive elements of the plot, used by the author to create certain images, are in a certain system, filled with aesthetic, philosophical, realistic meaning.

Abstract:
This examines the special use of art works as a store of value in Germany during the Third Reich era. Some Jews were able to buy their freedom, as the fascists closed in. Then as the Third Reich fell, some escaping fascists used art works to secure freedom outside of Germany. One of the characteristics of money is a store of value. When confidence in a currency is present, the more conventional form of money takes precedence. A respected, economic form of currency and coin has all three elements of money: medium of exchange, store of value and unit of account. This last trait is especially absent when using various art works as money, as there is no agreed upon unit of account with such different art. Furthermore, art works could not qualify as a medium of exchange, since only a very small amount of the population was involved in this way of dealing in art during the stressed times for the Third Reich.

Abstract:
The phenomenon of flourishing decorativeness, primarily, of horseman belt ornaments (non - ferrous small artistic metalwork), in the late 1st - early 2nd millennium is associated with the period of ‘expansion’ of the Kyrgyz Khaganate and the extensive contacts of the Yenisei Kyrgyz in Inner Asia. The analysis of the main themes of décor and semantics of some motifs makes it possible to identify the layer of the most popular designs and images connected with the influence of ‘foreign’ religions - Manichaeism and, possibly, Buddhism. Many motifs were borrowed and became popular due to adaptation to the perception of locals based on their traditional concepts. Objects (chance finds) of I. P. Tovostin’s collection (the Finnish Heritage Agency, Helsinki) come from the Minusinsk Basin (the Middle Yenisei), the original territory of the Yenisei Kyrgyz culture. The collection reflects not only almost the entire range of ornamentation forms and main themes of décor in the Sayan-Altai art, but also some hallmarks of small artistic metalwork as a whole. Two unique objects were revealed in the collection: a belt end plaque with a composition of Buddhist images and a sprue for casting earrings of a specific shape. The paper presents their analysis and evaluates their significance for studying contacts and influences, as well as local non - ferrous metalworking.

Abstract:
This article proposes that we add to the small number of Renaissance works on the art of creating or using facetiae an almost unknown De arte iocandi by an almost unknown Mattheus Delius, who died young. The work is a poem in four books, in Ovidian elegiac couplets, obviously inspired by the De arte bibendi of Vincentius Obsopoeus; both works have been assumed to be paradoxical encomia but arein fact seriousalbeit playful compendia of rules. Delius is interested not in the rhetorical use of jokes as weapons, but in something very close to Erasmus's festivitas. The preface by Melanchthon almost qualifies as an independent art of joking, and together they add valuable information to our knowledge of Reformation wit.
