After the general definitions of terms and introduction, the thesis examines the various topics, which was related to the landscape and it's anti-mimetic visual representation since the late sixties. Another part of the work focuses on Milos Šejn, an artist with a very specific, physical relationship to nature and at the same time a former head of The Studio of Conceptual art of the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, where many of his students were somehow related to nature. I chose four artists, who passed on Šejn's studio and on the basis of their work and available documents, I will try to show, how this new generation have reflected the landscape. Different types of man-made retention systems (polder, small water reservoir, large water reservoir) have been characterized by means of their retention potential and cost of retention per one cubic meter. As part of these man-made retention systems, wetland area has been created. Its acreage and build expense has been counted up inreference to total area, which differed within various types of retention systems. The results of these calculations, Hessenian method, and the metohod of agricultural land use were used to evaluate natural river basin and its retention potential. The calculations reveal, that model locality of natural river basin has the lowest value, when used for agriculture cultivation. Hessenian method showed the highest value. The expense of substituting the natural retention of the model locality with different man-made retention systems is estimated to be 0.5?1.6 billion CZK.

Diploma thesis solves problems of avenues and rows of trees in the landscape. The mapping of avenues and rows of trees by Methodology of avenues mapping 2015 (Dušek a Klemensová, 2015) in Vyskov district was the main aim of the thesis. The database of avenues and rows of trees in district of Vyskov, which will be as separate thematic layer in the Czech National Geoportal INSPIRE, is the result of mapping. Utilization of these results as a tool of regional development was another aim of the thesis. Depending on the results, the cycle route with information boards and benches were proposed. The results were graphically processed. In conclusion, the states and perspectives of the avenues in our landscape were evaluated. 224 elements (106 avenues and 118 rows of trees) were mapped in Vyskov district. The broadleaved ornamental trees were the mostly from the tree species. The state of health was most often rated 2 (good) and 1 (excellent). Using the design of cycle routes, etc. is one of the possibilities of promoting the theme of avenues and rows of trees in our society.

Abstract:
The first part of the thesis explores various possible approaches to solutions for historical spaces from the perspective of garden and landscape architecture. Furthermore, these spaces are divided to several categories that allow an architect to determine the methods employed in a work with a specific space. Principles and possibilities of changes are then exemplified using reference works realized in the Czech Republic as well as in other countries. Second part of the thesis proposes a solution for renewal of Valdštejnská lodžie in Jičín. This is a historical object with gardens, park and a game enclosure which is a part of composed landscape from the beginning of the 17th century. The proposed solution was based on a proper field research. The solution was then based on the results of the analyses. It respects the history of the object while offering a perspective of a contemporary landscape architect.

Abstract:
(in English): This thesis seeks to examine the state of the fine art in North Bohemia region at the turn of the 20th century. The period is dominated by romantic and realistic landscape art, which was also the domain of Fritz Gärtner. The thesis furthermore illuminates the life of German artists before and after the World War I in this region. The work focuses on Metznerbund group as it is considered the major movement among the German artists within the given period. Following chapters aim to illuminate the state of the fine art in North Bohemia region after the Second World War.The practical part of the thesis examines the life and work of a Sudeten German painter Fritz Gärtner: his early work from his hometown Ústí nad Labem, his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and his first considerable exhibition named Arbeit (Labor). The research provides us with new findings that complement previous findings from my bachelor's thesis, which was focused on interpretation of selected Gärtners paintings, resulting in a complete monography of the Sudeten German painter. The research was based on secondary literature concerning the fine art in North Bohemia region and provides a broad scale of new facts about the artistic creation and life of painters within fine art associations in the 20th century.

Abstract:
The given dissertation presents the work of the Country Research and Planning Institute in Brno and depicts regional tendencies in the Czech urbanism in the 40's. In her paper the author focuses on the period between 1938 and 1948 that marks the active existence of Brno's institute which was the most progressive institution within the field of regional planning in that era and whose activities have never been described sufficiently. The main initiators and authors of the institute concept were Bohuslav Fuchs, Jindřich Kumpošt and Josef Mrkos; later a significant figure of the Czech regional planning - Emanuel Hruška joined them. The dissertation defines the urbanistic works of the specified period as continuance of the previous development forcibly interrupted in 1948. In order to understand the motives for the regional planning, this paper outlines the principal idealistic concepts of the planners: criticism of liberalism, holism, technocracy, and redefinition of so called scientific stage of functionalism related to the problem of mental functions in the architecture. After introducing the regional planning in the world and Czechoslovakia at the beginning of the 40's the history, concept and functioning of Brno's institute is presented, including analyses of its main projects. Full text
Abstract:
In comparison with the art production at Nurnberg or at the cities of the so-called Danube School at the end of 15th century stands the simultaneous painting at Munich in the background. Therefore is sometimes forgotten, that there, in this period, a painter Jan Polack with his workshop was active. To his important customers/patrons belonged the dukes Sigmund and Albrecht of Wittelsbach and the Bavarian monasteries (Weihenstephan near Feising), for which he made few altars or portraits. A most of these altars were after that removed from the original sacral areas and today they are presented in the Bavarian National-museum at Munich or in other galleries. Only a few altars, for example three altars for the chapel in Blutenburg near Munich, have been staying on the original place in this small chapel. These Master thesis would like to compare his most representative pictures in the context with the others paintings, which were created in the middle or at the end of the 15th century in Bavaria (circle of Hans Pleydenwurff, Wolfgang Katzheimer etc.). This comparison can help to find the sources of the Polacks artistic expression. A special attention should be devoted his cooperation with Mair of Landshut, because few pictures of Polacks altar from the church of St. Peter in Munich have just been to Mair inscribed. It is also important to point to same compositional connections between the altar-pictures of Jan Polack and the graphics (Master E. S., Martin Schongauer) One highly-valued contribution of this thesis could be a capitol about the possible inspiration of the Polacks artistic expression for the artists, who came from Bohemia and who have been working here for a long times, but who could gain their training in the Bavaria (Munich). At the literature (Jaroslav Pešina) was one opinion expressed, that an altar in a church in Chudenitz concludes the formal features, which reveal a connection to the art at Munich in the middle of the 15th century. However, other authors (Roman Lavička) think that the painted boards of an original altar of Doudleby were inspired by Polacks artistic expression, although any concrete related features were not in the literature mentioned. It is appropriate too, point to the several compositional connections between the pictures of Jan Polack und a so-called Master of an altar from Litoměřice. This anonymous Bohemian painter, who is knowed only according to his most important commission, would be supposed to study in the Bavaria (an artistic circle of Rueland Frueauf at Passau) at the end of the 15th century. It is possible, that he could visit Munich und he could be inspired by the Polacks paintings.
