Full textPreschool is a place where the child spends a part of his life that should be positive. One of the pedagogue's most important tasks formulated by the National Agency for Education is for individuals to learn and develop as an individual and group member. Play has a central role in children's lives and is the basis for development, learning and well-being. Another part of children's lives are conflicts, they happen daily in the group of children and they occur in all situations where there are human relationships. Conflicts often arise in play situations. The purpose of this work has been to investigate the views of the pedagogue in the preschool regarding play, conflicts and conflict management strategies in the preschool's activities. In my work, I use theories that deal with the concepts of play, free play, conflict to analyze the pedagogue's view of conflict in play situations and the strategies that the pedagogue uses to handle conflicts. To be able to answer my questions, I have conducted a qualitative survey with four preschool teachers from different preschools. The results of the thesis analysis show that the pedagogue sees that play, free play and conflicts are part of children's lives in preschool activities. They believe that conflicts are useful and instructive and with them children develop their social skills. The pedagogue feels that "free play" lays the foundation for children to learn to handle conflicts. In addition, pedagogues, even though they believe that conflicts are instructive and natural, do not want conflicts and therefore have different strategies for conflicts not to arise. The pedagogues use work with the preschool's physical environment as a strategy to provide as good an environment as possible to avoid conflicts in the children's play. The essay shows that the pedagogues have a complex and sometimes contradictory approach to conflicts in play. Conflicts in play are seen as a natural learning opportunity but also something you want to avoid, which is done by planning group composition and the design of the environment.

Full textBackground: The phenomenon conflict occurs in every context where individuals integrate with each other. Conflicts have always existed but the way we see and manage them have changed through time. Conflict management is an important part of leadership. Most leaders believe conflicts are a problematic issue that is difficult to manage, because of the fear of the consequence that may appear. Previous research has shown that there is a correlation between leadership and conflict management but there is still a lack of knowledge in the field. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine if there is a correlation between the situational leadership and conflict management strategies and if it can provide leaders with greater possibilities to handle conflicts successfully. Method: This study has a qualitative approach where semi structured interviews with two organizations were made, with both of the store manager and three employees in each organization. Results: The results of this study have shown that there is a correlation between the situational leadership and conflict management strategies. Through combining the styles of the situational leadership with conflict management strategies and with regard to both employees and managers opinion and behavior can a suitable strategy be adopted, which can encourage individual growth.
