Abstract:
Introduction: The cost-effectiveness of screening asymptomatic non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients remains debatable, with current studies assuming lifelong benefits of NAFLD screening while neglecting cardiovascular outcomes. This study aims to assess the cost-effectiveness of NAFLD screening among type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients, and to establish a price threshold for NAFLD treatment, when it becomes available. Method: A Markov model was constructed comparing 4 screening strategies (versus no screening) to identify NAFLD with advanced fibrosis among T2DM patients: fibrosis-4 (FIB-4), vibration-controlled transient elastography (VCTE), FIB-4 and VCTE (simultaneous), and FIB-4 and VCTE (sequential). Sensitivity analyses and price threshold analyses were performed to assess parameter uncertainties in the results. Results: VCTE was the most cost-effective NAFLD screening strategy (USD24,727/quality-adjusted life year [QALY]), followed by FIB-4 (USD36,800/QALY), when compared to no screening. Probabilistic sensitivity analysis revealed a higher degree of certainty for VCTE as a cost-effective strategy compared to FIB-4 (90.7% versus 73.2%). The duration of expected screening benefit is the most influential variable based on incremental cost-effectiveness ratio tornado analysis. The minimum duration of screening benefit for NAFLD screening to be cost-effective was at least 2.6 years. The annual cost of NAFLD treatment should be less than USD751 for NAFLD screening to be cost-effective. Conclusion: Both VCTE and FIB-4 are cost-effective NAFLD screening strategies among T2DM patients in Singapore. However, given the lack of access to VCTE at primacy care and potential budget constraints, FIB-4 can also be considered for NAFLD screening among T2DM patients in Singapore. Abstract:
Objective: Predictors of mortality that indicate disease severity plays an important role in COVID-19 management and treatment decisions. This study aimed to investigate the association between fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) score, aspartate aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio index (APRI), and novel biomarker-based score (SAD-60) with mortality in COVID-19 patients treated in a tertiary hospital. Materials and Methods: In this single-center retrospective study, patients ≥18 years of age who were admitted to our hospital for COVID-19 between December 1 and 31, 2021, were included. Patients were divided into two groups as deceased and survived. A comparative analysis was applied. Predictive abilities of the FIB-4, APRI, and SAD-60 scores for in-hospital mortality were evaluated. Results: Of the 453 patients enrolled in the study, 248 (54.6%) were male, and the mean age was 52.2±14.7 years. Mortality was recorded in 39 (8.5%) of the patients. The median values of APRI (0.43 and 0.58; p=0.001), FIB-4 score (1.66 and 2.91; p<0.001), and SAD-60 (2 and 8.25; p<0.001) were higher in deceased patients than in survivors. The optimal cut-off value for predicting mortality in the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was 0.58 for APRI (sensitivity=56.4%, specificity=63.6%); 2.14 for FIB-4 score (sensitivity=79.5%, specificity=68.2%); 4.25 for SAD-60 (sensitivity=90%, specificity=73.8%). In Cox regression analysis with a model that included gender, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and coronary artery disease (CAD), FIB-4 (hazard ratio [HR]=4.013, 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.643-9.803; p=0.002), and SAD-60 (HR=8.850, 95% CI=1.035-75.696; p=0.046) were independent risk factors for mortality. Conclusion: SAD-60 and FIB-4 scores are easily applicable and may be used to predict mortality in COVID-19 patients. Keywords: APRI, FIB-4, SAD-160, COVID-19, mortality, predictors

Abstract:
Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have revolutionized energy storage technology, with cathode materials playing a pivotal role in their performance. Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) cathodes are essential components, where the nickel (Ni) content profoundly influences battery capacity and cycle time. Traditional methods, such as SEM-EDS element mapping, have limitations in resolving distinct NMC phases. To address this, we employ Principal Component Analysis (PCA) phase mapping, unveiling intricate NMC phase distinctions. Furthermore, we investigate into the crucial aspect of lithium-ion distribution within the cathode using Focused Ion Beam Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (FIB ToF-SIMS). This technique, when integrated a compact SIMS detector with a DualBeam microscope, provides invaluable insights into lithiation and delithiation processes regarding to battery cycling. Our finding on an electrode revealing that discharged cathodes exhibit 7Li+ signal 3.5 times higher than charged cathodes. The SIMS lithium mapping results illustrated the trapped lithium ions in charged cathodes, as well as the uniform return of lithium ions to cathode oxide material upon discharge. Additionally, our results highlight the preservation of oxygen levels in cathode chemistry during charging and discharging, except for its involvement in lithium intercalation. We also address the challenges associated with windowless EDS detectors for lithium detection based on published literatures. Expanding our investigations, we present novel results of FIB-SIMS at cryogenic conditions, unveiling the distribution of lithium and sodium in an anode electrode. Moreover, we illuminate disparities in lithium detection between room temperature and cryogenic temperature acquisitions, providing insights into the behaviour of slow-charged graphite anodes. In this abstract, we extend our presentation to include X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) for the detection of organic and inorganic matter in battery electrodes. In summary, our work combines SEM-EDS PCA and FIB ToF-SIMS and XPS techniques to provide a comprehensive understanding of lithium-ion battery cathode, anode materials, contributing to advancements in energy storage technology. Abstract:
A method is proposed for measuring high-voltage charging potentials of dielectrics under ion irradiation by shifting the boundary of the bremsstrahlung X-ray spectrum. Since there is no bremsstrahlung output during Xe+ ion irradiation, it was proposed to use a probing electron beam to generate bremsstrahlung X-rays. To eliminate the effect of charge compensation on the surface, the value of the current of the probing probe of electrons was selected. The values of the equilibrium charging potentials of Al2O3 ceramics, Al2O3 sapphire, SiO2, and Teflon are obtained at different ion irradiation energies. The data obtained are compared with the results of spectrometric studies. Keywords: dielectric charging, ion irradiation, FIB-SEM, surface potential measurement.

Abstract:
Introduction: Indirect serum bio-markers present an acceptable noninvasive and cheap alternative for screening of significant liver fibrosis (SLF). Evaluation of their use in resource limited settings is important to determine their utility. Methods: We conducted a cross sectional study among 520 HIV infected and HIV uninfected adults attending care clinics in Kampala Uganda. Presence of SLF was determined using Fibroscan® liver stiffness measurement of ≥7.2KPa. The diagostic value of indirect serum bio-markers for diagnosis of SLF was evaluated using the area under the receiver operating characteristics curve (AUROC) using Fibroscan® as gold standard. Results: Overall AUROC values for Age Platelet Index (API), Aspartate to Alanine Ratio (AAR), AST-to-Platelet Ratio Index (APRI), Fibrosis Index based on 4 Factors (FIB-4) and Gamma glutamyl transferase to Platelet Ratio Index (GPR) were 0.52, 0.49, 0.55, 0.55 and 0.54 respectively. Among HIV-infected participants AUROC values were slightly improved at predicting presence of SLF but still under 70%. Conclusion: Despite APRI and FIB-4 being more likely to identify participants with SLF, the overall diagnostic value of all serum bio-markers was poor with and without stratification by HIV status. We recommend the use of Fibroscan® technology as more accurate non-invasive diagnostic method for screening of SLF. Abstract:
Since there are no reviews of the literature on this theme, the aim of this narrative review is to summarize the metallurgical tests used in endodontics, pointing out their functional use and their pros and cons and giving readers a user-friendly guide to serve as an orientation aid in the plethora of metallurgical tests. With this purpose, a literature search for articles published between January 2001 and December 2021 was conducted, using the electronic database PubMed to collect all published articles regarding the metallurgical tests used in endodontics for the evaluation of NiTi rotary instruments. The search was conducted using the following keywords: “metallurgy”, “differential scanning calorimetry” (DSC), “X-ray diffraction” (XRD), “atomic force microscopy” (AFM), “energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy” (EDS), “focused ion beam analysis” (FIB) and “Auger electron spectroscopy” (AES) combined with the term “endodontics” or “NiTi rotary instruments”. Considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, of the 248 articles found, only 81 were included in the narrative review. According to the results, more than 50% of the selected articles were published in one of the two most relevant journals in endodontics: International Endodontic Journal (22.2%) and Journal of Endodontics (29.6%). The most popular metallurgical test was DSC, with 43 related articles, followed by EDS (33 articles), AFM (22 articles) and XRD (21 articles). Few studies were conducted using other tests such as FIB (2 articles), micro-Raman spectroscopy (4 articles), metallographic analysis (7 articles) and Auger electron spectroscopy (2 articles).

Abstract:
Digital finance and financial inclusion are considered to be significant development strategies in many economies. Promoting both of these strategies helps increase environmental sustainability. Access to financing improves people's ability to engage in economic activities that degrade the environment. The goal of this research is to look at the impact of digital finance and financial inclusion on environmental sustainability in a few emerging Asian countries. From 2015 through 2021, the research study used quantitative secondary annual data acquired from World Development Indicators provided by the World Bank. The study's dependent variable is environmental sustainability, as measured by carbon dioxide emissions (CO2-EMS), and the independent variables are mobile money transactions (MMT), automated teller machines (ATMs), financial institution’s branches (FIB), and deposit accounts (DACC). The study also used some control variables, like population growth (POPG), industrialization (IND), and financial literacy (FL). The panel data from ten Asian nations was analyzed by using a fixed- or random-effects model. The outcomes revealed that mobile money transactions (MMT), automated teller machines (ATMs), and financial institution’s branches (FIB) have a significant negative relationship with CO2-EMS, whereas deposit accounts (DACC) have a significant positive association with CO2-EMS. The study has significant implications for countries seeking to improve their overall energy efficiency, thereby reducing environmental degradation. Countries should modernize technology and implement improved environmental practices to help improve environmental sustainability. In order to attain economic success and environmental sustainability, policymakers should develop policies that increase digital financial inclusion. Abstract:
The goal of this work is to develop a process for the elaboration of silicon-germanium (SiGe) quantum dots (QDs) with compositions ranging from Si to pure Ge, and allowing to obtain semiconducting QDs with sufficiently small sizes to obtain quantum confinement. For this purpose, we have used a combination of different techniques: molecular beam epitaxy, focused ion beam lithography (FIBL) and heterogeneous solid state dewetting. In this context, the aim of this research is on the one hand to develop a new FIB that can be coupled to the ultra-high vacuum molecular beam epitaxy growth chamber, and on the other hand to realize two applications: (i) nanopatterns for the self-organisation of Si and Ge QDs and (ii) nano-implantations of Si and Ge. We used FIBL with energy-filtered liquid metal alloy ion sources (LMAIS) using non-polluting ions (Si and Ge) for the milling of conventional microelectronic substrates such as SiGe on silicon-on-insulator (SGOI). The nanopatterns must be totally free of pollution and with variable and perfectly controlled characteristics (size, density, depth). The morphology of the nanopatterns is then characterized in-situ by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the depth is determined ex-situ by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The nanopatterns made by FIBL were compared on the one hand to plasma etchings with He and Ne and on the other hand to the etchings obtained by electronic lithography (EBL). Nanoimplantations of Si and Ge ions were realised in diamond and in ultra-thin SGOI for the fabrication of local defects

Yahyaoui, Emna. "Use of standard and setup of non conventional techniques for the elimination of viruses associated with Fig Mosaic Disease (FMD) in fig germplasm (Ficus carica L.)." Doctoral thesis, Universitat Politècnica de València, 2017. http://hdl.handle.net/10251/79876.

Full text
Abstract:
Abstract Ficus carica L. is considered one of the oldest fruit trees in the Mediterranean basin and is widely grown and harvested for the consumption of its fruits dry and fresh. This species is affected by different virus diseases, especially by Fig mosaic disease (FMD), for which Fig leaf mottle-associated virus 1 (FLMaV-1), Fig leaf mottle-associated virus 2 (FLMaV-2), Fig mild mottling-associated virus (FMMaV), Fig mosaic virus (FMV), Fig latent virus 1 (FLV-1), Fig badnavirus 1 (FBV-1) and Fig fleck-associated virus (FFkaV) are associated. FMD is the most widespread disorder of this species, which represents a threat and a constraint for healthy fig production and germplasm exchange. Thus, the objective of the present doctoral research was the establishment of an efficient and rapid in vitro F. carica propagation, sanitation and conservation of free-FMD plant material for future large-scale commercialization. Initially, FMD-related viruses distribution was screened within the different fig plant organs (buds, leaves, syconia and seeds) of 14 Mediterranean genotypes (Palazzo, Severoni precoce, Bianca, Pilusedda, Dottato bianco, Bifera, Zidi, Baiyadi, Biancu, Brogiotto nero, Catalanisca, Houmairi, Triboiti and Turca 'Serilop') which were utilized afterward as in vitro plant source material. RT-PCR assays revealed that all the aforementioned viruses were present without any exception in seeds, whereas only 4 viruses (FBV, FFkaV, FLMaV-1 and FMV) were detected in buds, leaves and syconia with highly variable infection rates. Moreover, encapsulation technology proved to be a powerful multiplication technique to sustain standard fig tissue culture protocol for three cultivars (Catalanisca, Palazzo and Bifera) and it gave high, almost similar, viability, regrowth and conversion rates. Microcutting rooting in one-step was achieved and conversion rate was comparable for the three cultivars. Furthermore, in order to eliminate FMD associated viruses, with the exception of FBV-1 which resisted to all the sanitation attempts, Caulogenesis and Meristem Tip Culture Protected by the Synthetic Seeds technique (MTC-SS) gave the best sanitation rates. Finally, F. carica (cv. Houmairi) artificial seeds conservation, for final delivery, was achieved. A high viability and moderate regrowth rates were registered with a lesser conversion rate strictly related to the plant growth regulators (PGRs) used. Keywords: Fig, mosaic, RT-PCR, virus distribution, cytokinins, encapsulation, micropropagation, synthetic seed.

Smart grids and smart utility networks are the next-generation utility networks that intend to provide efficient control and management of utilities such as electricity, natural gas, water and sewage. Communication technology is the essential element for enabling formation of networks where control messages and metering data can be exchanged. In this work it is shown that wireless sensor and actuator networks are suitable candidates to implement this intelligent networks. The main routing algorithms for this category of wireless network are investigated in order to verify its performance when applied to the characteristics of smart utility networks, which are mainly related for large scale networks formed by hundreds to thousands of devices. It is shown that geographic routing is one of the most suitable routing strategies for large scale wireless networks, due to its low overhead and high scalability features. Usually, a geographic routing scheme combines a geographic greedy forwarding with a recovery mechanism to solve the local minima problem. Solutions proposed in the literature commonly combine greedy forwarding with the well known face routing for achieving this goal. However, the average path length in number of hops produced by face routing could be much worse than the optimal topological path in most realistic scenarios. In this work, it is proposed a new intermediate procedure between the geographic greedy mode and the recovery mode in order to improve routing efficiency in number of hops, without network overhead. It exploits the optimal topological route to base stations, obtained by beacon messages, as a resource to find better routes than the ones created by face routing. It is shown by simulations that the proposed hybrid approach leads to a significant improvement of routing performance when applied to combined greedy-face routing algorithms. Furthermore, experimental results obtained through testbeds shown that the proposed maintenance procedures are capable of avoid uctuations in the network infrastructure, providing robust routes for packet forwarding in large scale networks.

Abstract:
This thesis examines the role of the musician - taking as an example the guitarist - in the contemporary musical theater. The study focuses on the aesthetic discussion of the role of the instrumentalist in the construction of a new instrumentality in relation to a new theatricality. It studies the works La tragique histoire du nécromancien Hieronimo et de son miroir by Georges Aperghis, Lorenzaccio and Nuovo scenario da Lorenzaccio by Sylvano Bussotti, We come to the river by Hans Werner Henze, Sonant and Serenade by Mauricio Kagel, …Zwei Gefühle… and Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern by Helmut Lachenmann. Within this renewed theatricality, the idea of theatrical representation is almost always abolished : instead, the story is carried by all performers, including the guitarist. Therefore, the inner theatricality of instrumental playing valorizes the instrumental gesture. Thus, the exploration of instrumental possibilities of the guitar becomes something playful ( as to approach the instrument as an object, with humour, and to extract new sounds from it). This notion of "playfulness" is determinant on the approach to the interpreter. Each studied score in its own way attribute the interpreter itself the main source of their theatricality. These musical theatres make a large number of references to various musical universes associated with the guitar ( rock'n roll , Spanish music ... ) Finally, the potential of guitar’s colour palette is also explored. These references relative to the instrument reveal a process of existential metalanguage

Abstract:
The topic of this thesis is the Marca dynasty, a piedmontese family from the Valsesia area, specialized in the stucco work. In the early eighteenth century, some of its members migrated to the Franche-Comté in France, in search of work, the others remaining in Piedmont. Their realizations can be studied in religious places and private houses in Italy, in Franche-Comté and Burgundy. These works (altars, pulpits, statues and bas-reliefs in stucco) were created between the late seventeenth century and the early nineteenth century. This topic is entirely unpublished, especially as the information on this family are rare and scattered. Moreover, no research has been undertaken on it, neither in France nor in Italy. This study is well an analysis on this Italian family and its activity. The thesis provides an accurate biography of each member, defines the organization, methods and techniques of the stucco work, the inventory of their works, and position them in the artistic and religious context of their time. The archives of Burgundy, Doubs, Jura, Haute-Saône in France and of the regions of Biella and Vercelli in Italy have been exploited. Visit a large number of Italian and French buildings decorated with Marca’s furniture or near their style has been also necessary to carry out this work. The main objective was to place the Marca dynasty in its geographical, historical and cultural context, to understand its organization and specificity, to define accurately its style from recognized works, to be able to propose new attributions

Abstract:
In fin actuation systems, the performance of classical linear control systems is not satisfactory due to uncertainty of the system parameters and disturbances of the working medium. For this reason, sliding mode, H2 or H&infin
robust controllers are widely used in literature for such systems. However, use of such controllers results in very conservative system responses. Based on this fact, in this thesis, development of a more effective robust controller is aimed via integration of the optimum properties of the existent pure H2 and H&infin
type robust controllers. To achieve this, during the controller synthesizing procedure, some of the optimization parameters are weighted according to H2 norm minimization, and parameter uncertainties and other variables are weighted according to H&infin
theorem. First, the system set up to be controlled is physically constructed and performed system identification processes. Then, two different types of robust controllers H2 and H&infin
controllers are designed and tested over both the real system and simulation. Finally an H2/H&infin
mixed type controller synthesized and the results are compared with the outputs of the robust controllers of the previous step.

The aim of the present work is to investigate the hermeneutical perspective developed by the Belgian scholar Julien Ries, founder of a discipline known as religious or symbolic anthropology. Irreducible to history of religions, phenomenology or to hermeneutic, it is rather a synthesis of them, in which converge different methods and approaches. The result of this virtuous integration is a humanistic discipline that clarifies the fundamental structures of homo religiosus, as an essential category of religiosus anthropology. In this work we studied the theoretical structures which innervate Ries’ point of view, namely the conceptual structure of a work otherwise merely historical. Once being identified the principal Ries’ sources in Jacques Vidal, Mircea Eliade, Gilbert Durand and Carl Gustav Jung, we worked with a double concern. Firstly, we have clarified the chief points of the perspective of the four scholars, in order to clarify their position concerning religious experience; secondarily, we compared these results with Ries’ valorisation of them. After having developed the basis of a symbolic anthropology, this work opens to further perspectives towards a “new symbolic ontology”, in order to renew anthropology tout court.

Full text
Abstract:

Abstract The Introduction outlines the overall mission and vision of the collection. Specifically, it explains that the book seeks not to eliminate conflicts in meaning and fix the definitions of the twenty-five key terms that compose the contents but rather to articulate and debate the fundamental democratic dilemmas that emerge from the selected keywords and their various meanings in the past and present of US history. The book’s format and organization, therefore, serves as a reminder that language is a crucial, if often neglected, component of civics education. The Introduction also explains the significance of the long nineteenth century as a historical era of focus and offers a roadmap for readers detailing how to use the book and apply and expand its insights.

Abstract:
During the last years, there was a growing interest in peer-to-peer (P2P) systems, mainly because they fit a wide number of real-life ICT applications. Digital libraries are only a significant instance of P2P systems, but it is very easy to foresee how large the impact of P2P systems on innovative and emerging ICT scenarios, such as e-government and e-procurement, will be during the next years. P2P networks are natively built on top of a very large repository of data objects (e.g., files) that is intrinsically distributed, fragmented, and partitioned among participant peers. P2P users are usually interested in (a) retrieving data objects containing information of interest, like video and audio files, and (b) sharing information with other (participant) users or peers. From the information retrieval (IR) perspective, P2P users (a) typically submit short, loose queries by means of keywords derived from natural-language-style questions (e.g., “find all the music files containing Mozart’s compositions” is posed through the keywords compositions and Mozart), and (b), due to resource-sharing purposes, are usually interested in retrieving as a result a set of data objects rather than only one. Based on such set of items, well-founded IR methodologies like ranking can be successfully applied to improve system query capabilities, thus achieving performance better than that of more traditional database-like query schemes. Furthermore, the above-described P2P IR mechanism is self-alimenting as intermediate results can be then reused to share new information, or to set and specialize new search and query activities. In other words, from the database perspective, P2P users typically adopt a semistructured (data) model for querying data objects rather than a structured (data) model. On the other hand, efficiently accessing data in P2P systems, which is an aspect directly related to the above issues, is a relevant and still incompletely solved open research challenge.

Abstract:
Jeopardy! is a popular game show that, in various incarnations, has been on television for more than 50 years. The show is a test of general knowledge with the twist that the clues are answers and the contestants respond with questions that fit the answers. For example, the clue, “16th President of the United States,” would be answered correctly with “Who is Abraham Lincoln?” There are three contestants, and the first person to push his or her button is given the first chance to answer the question orally (with the exception of the Final Jeopardy clue, when all three contestants are given 30 seconds to write down their answers). In many ways, the show is ideally suited for computers because computers can store and retrieve vast amounts of information without error. (At a teen Jeopardy tournament, a boy lost the championship because he wrote “Who Is Annie Frank?” instead of “Who is Anne Frank.”A computer would not make such an error.) On the other hand, the clues are not always straightforward, and sometimes obscure. One clue was “Sink it and you’ve scratched.” It is difficult for a computer that is nothing more than an encyclopedia of facts to come up with the correct answer: “What is the cue ball?” Another challenging clue was, “When translated, the full name of this major league baseball team gets you a double redundancy.” (Answer: “What is the Los Angeles Angels?”) In 2005 a team of 15 IBM engineers set out to design a computer that could compete with the best Jeopardy players. They named it Watson, after IBM’s first CEO, Thomas J. Watson, who expanded IBM from 1,300 employees and less than $5 million in revenue in 1914 to 72,500 employees and $900 million in revenue when he died in 1956. The Watson program stored the equivalent of 200 million pages of information and could process the equivalent of a million books per second. Beyond its massive memory and processing speed, Watson can understand natural spoken language and use synthesized speech to communicate. Unlike search engines that provide a list of relevant documents or web sites, Watson was programmed to find specific answers to clues. Watson used hundreds of software programs to identify the keywords and phrases in a clue, match these to keywords and phrases in its massive data base, and then formulate possible responses.

Order-preserving encryption (OPE) is an useful tool in cloud computing as it allows untrustworthy server to execute range query or exact keyword search directly on the ciphertexts. It only requires sub-linear time in the data size while the queries are occurred. This advantage is very suitable in the cloud where the data volume is huge. However, the order-preserving encryption is deterministic and it leaks the plaintexts’ order and its distribution. In this paper, we propose an one-to-many OPE by taking into account the security and the efficiency. For a given plaintext, the encryption algorithm firstly determines the corresponding ciphertext gap by performing binary search on ciphertext space and plaintext space at the same time. An exact sample algorithm for negative hypergeometric distribution is used to fix the size of the gap. Lastly a value in the gap is randomly chosen as the mapping of the given plaintext. It is proven that our scheme is more secure than deterministic OPE with realizing efficient search. In particular, a practical and exact sampling algorithm for the negative hypergeometric distribution (NHGD) is first proposed.

Abstract:
In Chapter Six, in the hands of feminist poststructuralist thinker Hélène Cixous the modernist motif of the conflict of Life vs. Form took on centrality. The notion of a “living writing” employed by Cixous has consequences in that it causes our interest to shift from language seen as an all englobing, even imprisoning, horizon to a principle of natality, within language, in spite of the symbolic order and the symbolic structure that fix the subject in the social order. The keyword for this chapter is “poststructuralism” and discussion considers its wider, far-reaching effects by expanding on the notion of a gift that is simultaneously a paternal donation, presenting it as a neglected aspect of poststructuralism. Poststructuralism usually means the rejection of an idea of reality independent of language. Yet, this chapter follows up Cixous’s recuperation, via Joyce’s modernism, of a beneficial principle in language beyond the Oedipal law. It enlists the help of Jean-Luc Marion’s work on Augustine, of contemporary theology, and of Jacques Lacan’s texts on psychoanalysis and religion to pursue the notion of a paternal donation beyond the Oedipal father and beyond the struggle for recognition.

Abstract:
Abstract So far we have examined seven major avenues of subject access to information: controlled vocabulary searches, systematic and focused browsing of subject-classified full texts, keyword searches, citation searches, related record searches, searches through published bibliographies, and those done via computers (accessing either library-subscription databases or open Web sites). Computer searches use elements of some of the other methods but add the possibility of post-coordinate Boolean combinations. The eighth major avenue—talking to people—is the one most favored by journalists, but it is also valuable for anyone else. It is particularly important for academic researchers not to overlook this method, as most academicians have developed an overly strong print bias, often unconsciously assuming that if needed information cannot be found in print, then it cannot be found at all. In recent years this bias has expanded along parallel lines to include Internet sources, but the underlying assumption is the same: “If it can’t be found on the Web, or in print, then the information doesn’t exist.” This belief has the undesirable result of inducing people to change their questions to fit whatever information they can find online or in print—even if it’s not what they really want—and to diminish the scope of their papers accordingly.

Abstract:
Abstract Seawater contains large amounts of valuable minerals, some of which are very scarce and expensive in their terrestrial form. Most of the minerals we want occur in combination with other substances, in this case as solutions in seawater. This situation is the major problem in our use of sea water as mineral wealth. Minerals are so disseminated that most do not meet the commonly accepted definition of ore - a mineral element or compound of elements of sufficient value in quantity and quality that it can be extracted profitably. Due to the recent problems associated with the onshore mining industries, as a result of the depletion of highgrade ores, sustainable demand for water and energy, and environmental issues, seawater mining is becoming an attractive option. However, some minerals that have high concentrations are currently extracted. This chapter presents a synthesis of the processes of extraction of common salt, magnesium, bromine and finally, the mineral resource that may in the near future be the ocean's most valuable asset: fresh water. Keywords: salt and magnesium extraction, desalination, fresh water.

Abstract:
This paper aims to present different patterns of keyword evolution and their co-occurrences in publications dedicated to energy sales forecasting in a sustainable development context, and indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) databases. The adopted method is the Structured Literature Review (SLR) variation method with queries supported by the Bibliometrix software as the analytical and visualisation tool. The number of publications has evolved in the context of indexed keywords, which are related. Research on energy sales forecasting and sustainability has earned considerable attention in multiple academic fields. Proposed queries syntaxes and searching procedures in Scopus and Web of Science databases present limitations related to the subscription of these databases and the interchangeability of syntaxes. The novelty of this study is based on the results and their presentation with the usage of Bibliometrix as a tool for the exploration of two independent scientific areas, namely energy sales forecasting and sustainability, and the presentation of connections between them. This paper can inspire researchers to develop the subject of energy sales forecasting evolution in a sustainable development context, as well as business practitioners interested in energy sector adaptation visible in keyword changes in their decision-making processes.

Abstract:
Abstract Because tight reservoir has become important energy resources in sustaining production, PTTEP has recently evaluated a number of these reservoirs. For development plan optimization and resources estimation, 3D-modelling is the most efficient tool. However, the complicated workflow usually impedes inexperienced users to work with reservoir simulation. This study aims to construct an automatic 3D-modelling generator which could handle the tight reservoir. This would allow non-simulation expert to construct any 3D models for further simulation study. In this study, black oil simulation model is selected for simplicity. A generic multi-layer tight reservoir model is consisted of cartesian grids with the local grid refinement (LGR) at a well location to capture flow regime near a hydraulic fracture. The user interface tabs contain input spreadsheet for grid design, rock and fluid properties, initial conditions, well completion, and production schedule. Then, the script files with black oil simulator keywords will be generated. The capability to adjust all the input data is finally introduced to ensure user-friendly interface before finalizing the script files to simulation software without any complication with the simulation keywords. With the created Tight Reservoir Automatic 3D-Modelling Generator, all complicated workflows (the black oil simulator keywords and structure) are handled. The 3D modelling for tight reservoir does not require highly experienced user anymore. Also, neither high expertise in simulation nor programming is required. The generator provides user friendly interface with full capability of automatic multi-layer model construction. It also can handle any kind of fluid system (oil/gas/water and saturated/undersaturated reservoir), and the presence of a hydraulic fracture in any specific layers. In terms of the well and production control, it provides the option frequently used e.g., control BHP, control THP, control flow rate. This generator has been used in several PTTEP projects which have proven the success of the application. Currently, for the high-level field evaluation of the tight reservoir, any inexperienced user could construct the 3D model for their usage without having to request support from the simulation team. Regarding this advantage, there has been measurable manpower saving for model construction. Therefore, user could have more time to focus on engineering analysis such as sensitivity study on relevant parameters or production forecast and optimization which ultimately bring the best value for the project evaluation. Although commercial software may be available, they require costs and learning. Also, that software may not fully fit with specific objective. With in-house development of this pre-processer modeling tool, the interface is proven to be ease of use and fit-for-purpose with no additional cost. Further improvement would easily be performed. The concept of coupling the familiar user interface with reservoir simulator could be extended to other opportunity not only in PTTEP, but also anywhere else.

Abstract In this paper, the stacking fault defects in FinFETs are described as the root cause of the PLL failure. Failure analysis approaches such as photon emission microscopy and nano probing were applied to pinpoint the exact stacking fault location in even transistor level and High resolution TEM confirmed the stacking fault defects in the Fin which was isolated by nano probing. RX local density was confirmed as the key factor in stacking fault generation by TCAD simulation. RX new mask with dummy addition was made to mitigate stress and was confirmed to be effective to reduce the compressive strain at the channel in FinFETs by Geometric Phase Analysis (GPA) which provided sufficiently practical local strain measurement data. The GPA techniques demonstrated here are informative for process improvement and failure analysis in FinFET devices. Keywords – Stacking Fault, Geometric Phase Analysis

Abstract:
The objective of the study is to outline the vision of the Russian-Ukrainian war in Renmin Ribao, the main newspaper of the People’s Republic of China. The source base of the research is the content of the Renmin Ribao website during 2022 in English, Spanish, French, Russian, German, Italian, and Portuguese languages. The material was selected using the keywords «Ukraine», «Russia» (and other derivatives), analyzed using induction, vocabulary analysis, classification analysis, and content analysis. Renmin Ribao rarely uses the term “war” to refer to events in Ukraine, resorting to streamlined formulations such as “situation”, “issue”, “crisis”, “conflict” and even “Russian military operation”. The newspaper sees the United States, not Russia, as responsible for the events in Ukraine. Rather, Moscow is a victim of many years of intrigues on the part of the United States, which manifested itself in efforts to restrain and weaken Russia, in particular with the help of Ukraine. The newspaper often reproduces Russian narratives and Russian fakes, disseminates messages typical of Russian propaganda (for example, about biological laboratories in Ukraine), reports on referendums in the occupied Ukrainian territories from the evidence of the Russian RT television channel, about the annexation of four Ukrainian regions from the testimony of Chairman State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, about the attack on the Crimean bridge from the evidence of the FSB. Renmin Ribao is inclined to the opinion of the harmfulness of anti-Russian sanctions and the impracticality of supplying weapons to Ukraine, sees a priority way out of the Russian-Ukrainian war in an abstract “peace”, and not the victory of Ukraine. The issue in which Renmin Ribao sharply diverges from the position of official Moscow is the identification of the situation in Ukraine and the situation in Taiwan. Drawing parallels between Taiwan and Ukraine is popular in both the Russian and the Western press. However, when the war began to look less and less victorious for Russia, these parallels became unacceptable to both Renmin Ribao and official Beijing. Keywords: Russian-Ukrainian war, media of China, Renmin Ribao, anti-Russian sanctions, arms supply to Ukraine, Taiwan.
