Abstract:
Competitor analysis is an essential component of corporate strategy, providing both offensive and defensive strategic contexts to identify opportunities and threats. The rapid development of social media has recently led to several methodologies and frameworks facilitating competitor analysis through online reviews. Existing studies only focused on detecting comparative sentences in review comments or utilized low-performance models. However, this study proposes a novel approach to identifying the competitive factors using a recent explainable artificial intelligence approach at the comprehensive product feature level. We establish a model to classify the review comments for each corresponding product and evaluate the relevance of each keyword in such comments during the classification process. We then extract and prioritize the keywords and determine their competitiveness based on relevance. Our experiment results show that the proposed method can effectively extract the competitive factors both qualitatively and quantitatively.

Abstract:
This study examined competitive intelligence and product development and innovation in pharmaceutical firms in Lagos State, Nigeria. Three hypotheses were formulated to determine whether or not a relationship exist between competitive intelligence and product development and innovation in pharmaceutical firms in Lagos State, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research design to obtain data, using a structured questionnaire which was analyzed using Pearson’s product moment coefficient of correlation. The result indicated that there exists a significant relationship between competitive intelligence and product development and innovation in pharmaceutical firms in Lagos State, Nigeria. Based on the finding it was concluded that the process of product development and innovation cannot be successful except there is information about customer’s needs, wants and expectations of which the innovation products or services intends to serve. The study recommended among others that pharmaceutical firms should leverage on information gathering and sharing to determine the nature of the new product and service so that the new product offerings will be more valued and satisfying than the existing ones that are offered by the competitors. Abstract:
Objective – The performance of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) is one of the main indicators to increase Indonesia's economic growth. The contribution of Indonesia's MSMEs is low in the global market and the lowest in ASEAN. One of the ways to increase the contribution is to create the value of competitiveness product. Management of resources is needed to provide high-quality products and competitive advantage of the company. This study aims to examine the combination of resources of the company through the Resource Base-View (RBV) approach. Methodology/Technique – A mix research method was employed, utilizing multiple criteria decision making as the analysis method and the Analytical Hierarchy process (AHP) as the instrument tool of the analysis. The respondents were 100 MSMEs in Pontianak. Findings – The criteria were determined by RBV Concept and the characteristic of company resources. The combination was the sequence level of the weight of the resources. The study also formulated the integration of the Artificial Intelligence and RBV model. The results of the study indicated that human resource is as the highest priority of company attention and the following sequences are marketing and distribution, finance and funding, operational and production, and the internet usage and technology. Novelty – The study also resulted in the creation of the RBV-AI Framework model to obtain strategic resources maintaining the competitive advantage of the company. Type of Paper: Empirical. Purpose“Technological intelligence” is the capacity to appreciate and adapt technological advancements, and “artificial intelligence” is the key to achieve persuasive operational transformations in majority of contemporary organizational set-ups. Implicitly, artificial intelligence (the philosophies of machines to think, behave and perform either same or similar to humans) has knocked the doors of business organizations as an imperative activity. Artificial intelligence, as a discipline, initiated by scientist John McCarthy and formally publicized at Dartmouth Conference in 1956, now occupies a central stage for many organizations. Implementation of artificial intelligence provides competitive edge to an organization with a definite augmentation in its social and corporate status. Mere application of a concept will not furnish real output until and unless its performance is reviewed systematically. Technological changes are dynamic and advancing at a rapid rate. Subsequently, it becomes highly crucial to understand that where have the people reached with respect to artificial intelligence research. The present article aims to review significant work by eminent researchers towards artificial intelligence in the form of top contributing universities, authors, keywords, funding sources, journals and citation statistics.Design/methodology/approachAs rightly remarked by past researchers that reviewing is learning from experience, research team has reviewed (by applying systematic literature review through bibliometric analysis) the concept of artificial intelligence in this article. A sum of 1,854 articles extracted from Scopus database for the year 2018–2019 (31st of May) with selected keywords (artificial intelligence, genetic algorithms, agent-based systems, expert systems, big data analytics and operations management) along with certain filters (subject–business, management and accounting; language-English; document–article, article in press, review articles and source-journals).FindingsResults obtained from cluster analysis focus on predominant themes for present as well as future researchers in the area of artificial intelligence. Emerged clusters include Cluster 1: Artificial Intelligence and Optimization; Cluster 2: Industrial Engineering/Research and Automation; Cluster 3: Operational Performance and Machine Learning; Cluster 4: Sustainable Supply Chains and Sustainable Development; Cluster 5: Technology Adoption and Green Supply Chain Management and Cluster 6: Internet of Things and Reverse Logistics.Originality/valueThe result of review of selected studies is in itself a unique contribution and a food for thought for operations managers and policy makers.

This study presents the results of the first stage (scientific production analysis) of a Technological Surveillance and Competitive Intelligence exercise (TS&CI), carried out for the research of "the current alternatives for the recovery and valorization of ABS plastic waste around the world"; which was carried out with information from the specialized Scopus® database, with the guidance of TS&IC experts, from EAFIT University. It was found that the leading countries in scientific publications are China, the United States and Japan, three of the largest consumers of ABS resin in the world. The leading institution in publications is the prestigious Chalmers University of Technology, a research university that is in Sweden. Abstract:
Purpose: to study the features of motivation and psycho-emotional state in the competitive activities of veteran judokas. Material and methods. The pedagogical research used analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, surveys of athletes and specialists in judo, study of videos of competitive activities of highly qualified judokas and veteran judokas, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: the level of psycho-emotional sphere of athletes' personality was assessed by a modified test RB Ketella (16-FLO-105-C). The results of this testing showed that the main parameters of the psycho-emotional state in judo veterans are within normal limits. Veterans are characterized by more objective self-esteem, good intelligence, less subordination, and stable emotional stability. A questionnaire survey of veteran judokas was conducted, which revealed that 92,9 % of respondents started regular classes before the age of 15; 96,4 % interrupted active wrestling for 5-10 years; 28,6 % of veteran athletes sometimes included wrestling and its elements in their exercise. In order to determine the motives for sports activities of veteran judokas and young athletes, a modified version of the method of identifying significant factors of sports activities was used, which showed that veteran athletes and young judokas have different motivations for training. 71,4 % of judo veterans are motivated to return to sports by meeting the needs of competitive activities, getting closer to their «motor past» and maintaining good health; 21,4 % of the surveyed athletes returned for self-expression and self-affirmation, and only 7,1 % said they continued to exercise to meet their ambitions. The main motive for young athletes was the need for self-expression (46,9 %), material interest (33,9 %). Conclusions. Studies have shown little effect on the competitive outcome in veteran judo injuries and sports qualifications of athletes. Apparently, the basis of success of highly qualified judokas-veterans is high psychological readiness, strictly individual physical and technical and tactical training. BACKGROUND: Soccer is part of the team sports games category and is characterized by the cooperation and opposition interactions between players in the same space of play and time. Thus, players must adequately decide what action to perform despite the unpredictable, random, and varying nature of the environment of play. AIM: This paper explores tactical competencies that can be appreciated in the way players play and their functioning. METHOD: The argumentation is structured over a review of sixty articles in five languages, selected from the results in an online university library with topic-related keywords. The selected papers were analyzed to identify the most frequently reported concepts related to (i) tactics and action in the play; (ii) decision-making and associated cognitive mechanisms and skills; and (iii) the teaching-learning-training process. RESULTS: The results of this review sum the three following competencies: tactical intelligence, creativity, and co-adaptability. We argue that these competencies can be built through the play's practice and that coaches should seek to use them to the advantage of player’s development. Small-sided and conditioned games reflect a compatible opportunity to nurture the competencies as long as they are configured to solicit the competencies in an environment that promotes them. CONCLUSION: Tactical intelligence, creativity, and co-adaptability can be appreciated in the tactical behavior shown by performing players. For the same reason, those also should constitute more of the player’s development curriculum, therefore leading to players who have a competitive advantage.

The disruption has been occurring in financial services. Rethinking new strategy of banking is needed to make a sustainable competitive advantage innovation in organizations. The four types of business strategy for banks are prospector, analyzer, defender, and reactor. Studies mentioned that formulating strategy is very costly, time consuming, and comprehensive analysis. The banks have to get rid of execution time inefficiency, lack of flexibility, and lack of ability to present several scenarios in the dynamic business environment. The purpose of this study is to present an integrated intelligence algorithm for estimating strategic resources of the bank strategy in Indonesia. The algorithm has two basic modules which are artificial neural network (ANN) and analytical hierarchy process (AHP). ANN is utilized as an inductive algorithm in discovering predictive strategy of the bank and used to explain the strategic resources which improved in forward. AHP has the capability to handle multi-level decision-making structure with use of expert judgments in pairwise comparison process. AHP is used to measure the weight of the resources and the score is used to determine the strategy. The empirical results indicate that ANN and AHP integration is proved to predict the business strategy of the bank. The strategy choice appropriate with the condition of bank's resources. This paper aimed to identify and analyse the evolution of the generic pharmaceutical market in Brazil, specifically olanzapine drugs. For this purpose, it has been demonstrated trends through access free tools. By bibliographical survey in indexed databases as well as official data in Brazil for generic drugs and public policy, it was analyzed and performed a case study . In 2012, global pharmaceutical industry surpassed US$ 950 billion in sales with trend to reach US$ 1,2 trillion by 2016. In Brazil market has grown in its global ranking, jumped from 10th place to 7th place in five years and projection it’ll stay Top five by 2015. Brazil has significant presence in pharmerging markets by increasing US$ 10 billion/year. Generics segment accounts approximately to 20% of the total market. 2003-2011 registered a growth of 42.3%. Patents expiration in the neuroleptics area becomes more promising like a market of olanzapine in the last eight years is around US$ 120 million. After the end of the olanzapine patent (2011) sales increased 270% which demonstrate potential Brazilian market in this new century. Management problems for developing nations and undeveloped such as network management and patents analysis for health care might reveal great opportunities for investors, e.g., creation of the Big Brazilian biotechnology pharmaceutical industry. The human resources are the most important resources an organization can boast of in the 21st century, since it ensures the efficient and effective utilization of other types of resources, hence their continuous development. One of the ways of developing human resources is through entrepreneurial mentoring. Mentoring is among the few tools needed for preparing tomorrows’ skilled employees and is also used to strengthen organizational capabilities, intelligence, build organization knowledge, and sustain the organization competitive advantage. The dynamic career environment heightens the need for entrepreneurs engaging other people in their career and personal development. This study examined the effect of entrepreneurial mentoring on performance of SMEs in Kwara State. Data for the study were obtained from primary sources with the aid of a structured questionnaire. The research design adopted was a descriptive survey design which was also cross sectional in nature. Data collected were analyzed and hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 5% level of significance. Findings revealed that psychosocial mentoring support, career mentoring support and role modelling mentoring support all had significant relationship with SMEs performance as all their respective p values were less than 0.05 alpha values. Effective and efficient mentorship programs tend to raise entrepreneurial outcomes among upcoming entrepreneurs operating SMEs. Based on the findings of this study, the study concludes that there is significant relationship between psychosocial mentoring support and SMEs performance; there is also significant relationship between career mentoring support and SMEs performance, there is significant relationship between role modeling mentoring support and SMEs performance. The study recommends that SMEs owners must be steadfast in fostering an entrepreneurial mentoring culture within the organisation. Also, SMEs owners must be steadfast in continuously providing sponsorship, coaching, exposure, visibility, protection and providing challenging assignments to employees. Abstract:
The "information revolution" of our time affects our entire generation. While a vision of the "Information Society," with its financial, legal, business, privacy, and other aspects has emerged in the past few years, the "traditional scene" of information technology, that is, industrial automation, maintained its significance as a field of unceasing development. Since the old-fashioned concept of "Hard Automation" applicable only to industrial processes of fixed, repetitive nature and manufacturing large batches of the same product1)was thrust to the background by keen market competition, the key element of this development remained the improvement of "Machine Intelligence". In spite of the fact that L. A. Zadeh already introduced the concept of "Machine Intelligence Quotient" in 1996 to measure machine intelligence2) , this term remained more or less of a mysterious meaning best explicable on the basis of practical needs. The weak point of hard automation is that the system configuration and operations are fixed and cannot be changed without incurring considerable cost and downtime. Mainly it can be used in applications that call for fast and accurate operation in large batch production. Whenever a variety of products must be manufactured in small batches and consequently the work-cells of a production line should be quickly reconfigured to accommodate a change in products, hard automation becomes inefficient and fails due to economic reasons. In these cases, new, more flexible way of automation, so-called "Soft Automation," are expedient and suitable. The most important "ingredient" of soft automation is its adaptive ability for efficiently coping with changing, unexpected or previously unknown conditions, and working with a high degree of uncertainty and imprecision since in practice increasing precision can be very costly. This adaptation must be realized without or within limited human interference: this is one essential component of machine intelligence. Another important factor is that engineering practice often must deal with complex systems of multiple variable and multiple parameter models almost always with strong nonlinear coupling. Conventional analysis-based approaches for describing and predicting the behavior of such systems in many cases are doomed to failure from the outset, even in the phase of the construction of a more or less appropriate mathematical model. These approaches normally are too categorical in the sense that in the name of "modeling accuracy," they try to describe all structural details of the real physical system to be modeled. This significantly increases the intricacy of the model and may result in huge computational burden without considerably improving precision. The best paradigm exemplifying this situation may be the classic perturbation theory: the less significant the achievable correction is, the more work must be invested for obtaining it. Another important component of machine intelligence is a kind of "structural uniformity" giving room and possibility to model arbitrary particular details a priori not specified and unknown. This idea is similar to that of the ready-to-wear industry, whose products can later be slightly modified in contrast to the custom-tailors' made-to-measure creations aiming at maximum accuracy from the beginning. Machines carry out these later corrections automatically. This "learning ability" is another key element of machine intelligence. To realize the above philosophy in a mathematically correct way, L. A. Zadeh separated Hard Computing from Soft Computing. This revelation immediately resulted in distinguishing between two essential complementary branches of machine intelligence: Hard Computing based Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing based Computational Intelligence. In the last decades, it became generally known that fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks, and probabilistic reasoning based Soft Computing is a fruitful orientation in designing intelligent systems. Moreover, it became generally accepted that soft computing rather than hard computing should be viewed as the foundation of real machine intelligence via exploiting the tolerance for imprecision, uncertainty and partial truth to achieve tractability, robustness, low solution cost and better rapport with reality. Further research in the past decade confirmed the view that typical components of present soft computing such as fuzzy logic, neurocomputing, evolutionary computation and probabilistic reasoning are complementary and best results can be obtained by their combined application. These complementary branches of Machine Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Intelligence, serve as the basis of Intelligent Engineering Systems. The huge number of scientific results published in journals and conference proceedings worldwide substantiates this statement. Three years ago, a new series of conferences in this direction was initiated and launched with the support of several organizations including the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and IEEE Hungary Section in technical cooperation with IEEE Robotics & Automation Society. The first event of the series hosted by Bdnki Dondt Polytechnic, Budapest, Hungary, was called "19997 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems " (INES'97). The Technical University of Vienna, Austria hosted the next event of the series in 1998, followed by INES'99 held by the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia. The present special issue consists of the extended and revised version of the most interesting papers selected out of the presentations of this conference. The papers exemplify recent development trends of intelligent engineering systems. The first paper pertains to the wider class of neural network applications. It is an interesting report of applying a special Adaptive Resonance Theory network for identifying objects in multispectral images. It is called "Extended Gaussian ARTMAP". The authors conclude that this network is especially advantageous for classification of large, low dimensional data sets. The second paper's subject belongs to the realm of fuzzy systems. It reports successful application of fundamental similarity relations in diagnostic systems. As an example failure detection of rolling-mill transmission is considered. The next paper represents the AI-branch of machine intelligence. The paper is a report on an EU-funded project focusing on the storage of knowledge in a corporate organizational memory used for storing and retrieving knowledge chunks for it. The flexible structure of the system makes it possible to adopt it to different SMEs via using company-specific conceptual terms rather than traditional keywords. The fourth selected paper's contribution is to the field of knowledge discovery. For this purpose in the first step, cluster analysis is done. The method is found to be helpful whenever little or no information on the characteristics of a given data set is available. The next paper approaches scheduling problems by the application of the multiagent system. It is concluded that due to the great number of interactions between components, MAS seems to be well suited for manufacturing scheduling problems. The sixth selected paper's topic is emerging intelligent technologies in computer-aided engineering. It discusses key issues of CAD/CAM technology of our days. The conclusion is that further development of CAD/CAM methods probably will serve companies on the competitive edge. The seventh paper of the selection is a report on seeking a special tradeoff between classical analytical modeling and traditional soft computing. It nonconventionally integrates uniform structures obtained from Lagrangian Classical Mechanics with other simple elements of machine intelligence such as saturated sigmoid transition functions borrowed from neural nets, and fuzzy rules with classical PID/ST, and a simplified version of regression analysis. It is concluded that these different components can successfully cooperate in adaptive robot control. The last paper focuses on the complexity problem of fuzzy and neural network approaches. A fuzzy rule base, be it generated from expert operators or by some learning or identification schemes, may contain redundant, weakly contributing, or outright inconsistent components. Moreover, in pursuit of good approximation, one may be tempted to overly assign the number of antecedent sets, thereby resulting in large fuzzy rule bases and much problems in computation time and storage space. Engineers using neural networks have to face the same complexity problem with the number of neurons and layers. A fuzzy rule base and neural network design, hence, have two important objectives. One is to achieve a good approximation. The other is to reduce the complexity. The main difficulty is that these two objectives are contradictory. A total of 1,207 papers related to competitive basketball research from 1986 to 2019 were retrieved from the Web of Science database. Taking the retrieved papers as research objects, the trend chart, keyword map, and citation map of international competitive basketball research were drawn using the visual software CiteSpaceIII, and the methods of literature review, knowledge map analysis, co-occurrence analysis, citation analysis, and word frequency analysis were used. The research status and hot spots of international competitive basketball in recent 30 years are analyzed, which clarify the research context of foreign competitive basketball, reveal the research trend of international competitive basketball, and provide theoretical reference for future competitive basketball research. The research shows that (a) competitive basketball research lacks influential scientific research institutions and leading figures, and the existing research institutions are in their own way with little cooperation. (b) The hot spots of competitive basketball research are “Competitive performance,” “Gender difference,” “Sports injury,” and so on. Co-occurrence network structure is relatively loose and the density is not high. (c) “Sports injury” has always been the hot spot and frontier of competitive basketball research, from the early rehabilitation basic research aimed at ensuring competitive participation to the fine-grained preventive research centered on “preventing diseases,” and then to the interdisciplinary comprehensive research of electronic science, neuroscience, and brain science. In this paper, we analyze the importance and role of artificial intelligence in technological development in each of the two countries on the one hand, and its influence on China-American relations in terms of technological and geopolitical conflict. To get the right results, we rely on a literature review of dozens of articles published on the phenomenon in order to compare the power of artificial intelligence between the United States and China where we found that the US still has technological strength, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, but we can say that a large force is beginning pose a threat for it which is China that has great technological capabilities so, we can say that the United States should work more in this field. Also, we found that artificial intelligence has a primary goal in both countries, it helps China to achieve its ambitions to be the leader of the world, and this intelligence, on the other hand, provides protection and security to the United States. This paper is divided into three sections. The first section focuses on the importance of artificial intelligence in achieving China’s ambitions, the second section explains the role of artificial intelligence in the US protection service, and the third section describes the technological and geopolitical conflict resulting from the competition in artificial intelligence between these two countries. Konflik dapat diselesaikan dengan manajemen konflik melalui pendekatan gaya manajemen konflik. Penyelesaian konflik mempunyai korelasi dengan kecerdasan emosional seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level kecerdasan emosional dan pemilihan gaya manajemen konflik serta menganalisis hubungan antara kedua variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang dilakukan pada 30 responden perawat pelaksana di RSM Ahmad Dahlan Kota Kediri. Adapun instrument yang digunakan adalah data demografi, kecerdasan emosional, dan pilihan gaya manajemen konflik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rata-rata gaya kompetisi (M=1,2), kolaborasi (M=1,93), menghindar (M=2), kompromi (M=2,2), akomodasi (M=2,867); sedangkan kecerdasan emosional dengan nilai tinggi (43%), rendah (57 %). Terdapat hubungan negative antara dimensi kesadaran diri dengan gaya kompetisi (r = -0,667; p = 0,00); dan hubungan positif antara dimensi manajemen diri dengan gaya akomodasi (r = 0,473; p = 0,008). Terdapat hubungan antara dimensi kesadaran diri dengan gaya kompetisi, serta manajemen emosi dan gaya akomodasi. Pelatihan tentang strategi manajemen konflik dan manajemen kecerdasan emosi penting bagi perawat untuk menjaga motivasi kerja. This study analyzes the level of emotional intelligence and conflict management styles and correlation between them. This study used a cross sectional design with a descriptive approach with 30 nurses at Ahmad Dahlan Hospital in Kediri. Demography instrument, emotional intelligence, and Thomas Killman instruments (TKI) was used to collect data. The results of this study were competition style (M = 1.2), collaboration (M = 1.93), avoidance (M = 2), compromise (M = 2.2), accommodation (M = 2.867); while emotional intelligence with high scores level (43%) and low level (57%). There was a negative correlation between self awareness and competition style (r = -0.667; p = 0.00); positive correlation in managing emotion with accommodation style (r = 0,473; p = 0,008). There was a corelation between self awareness and competition style, also managing emotion and accomodation style. AbstractLearning from texts has been widely adopted throughout industry and science. While state-of-the-art neural language models have shown very promising results for text classification, they are expensive to (pre-)train, require large amounts of data and tuning of hundreds of millions or more parameters. This paper explores how automatically evolved text representations can serve as a basis for explainable, low-resource branch of models with competitive performance that are subject to automated hyperparameter tuning. We present autoBOT (automatic Bags-Of-Tokens), an autoML approach suitable for low resource learning scenarios, where both the hardware and the amount of data required for training are limited. The proposed approach consists of an evolutionary algorithm that jointly optimizes various sparse representations of a given text (including word, subword, POS tag, keyword-based, knowledge graph-based and relational features) and two types of document embeddings (non-sparse representations). The key idea of autoBOT is that, instead of evolving at the learner level, evolution is conducted at the representation level. The proposed method offers competitive classification performance on fourteen real-world classification tasks when compared against a competitive autoML approach that evolves ensemble models, as well as state-of-the-art neural language models such as BERT and RoBERTa. Moreover, the approach is explainable, as the importance of the parts of the input space is part of the final solution yielded by the proposed optimization procedure, offering potential for meta-transfer learning.

SUMMARY From 19 February to 14 June 2020, the European Commission held a Public Consultation on several policy and regulatory proposals that are currently being considered in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This consultation was centered on two main documents presented by the Commission: the White Paper on Artificial Intelligence[1] and the “Report on the safety and liability implications of Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things and robotics”[2]. The consultation also included an online survey[3], where the central themes of those two documents were covered in a summarized way. In November 2020, the results of the consultation were presented, as well as the texts accepted for publication[4]. In order to participate in this pre-legislative process, a working group was created within the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the Lusófona University of Porto, which presented a contribution that was accepted and published by the European Commission[5]. The White Paper is centred in one powerful objective which is “to enable a trustworthy and secure development of AI in Europe, in full respect of the values and rights of EU citizens”, and for that presents two central ideas considered essential to attain it that are to create an ecosystem of excellence along the entire value chain and an ecosystem of trust that ensure compliance with EU rules, including rules protecting fundamental rights and consumers’ rights. Abstract Word searching or keyword spotting is an important research problem in the domain of document image processing. The solution to the said problem for handwritten documents is more challenging than for printed ones. In this work, a two-stage word searching schema is introduced. In the first stage, all the irrelevant words with respect to a search word are filtered out from the document page image. This is carried out using a zonal feature vector, called pre-selection feature vector, along with a rule-based binary classification method. In the next step, a holistic word recognition paradigm is used to confirm a pre-selected word as search word. To accomplish this, a modified histogram of oriented gradients-based feature descriptor is combined with a topological feature vector. This method is experimented on a QUWI English database, which is freely available through the International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition 2015 competition entitled “Writer Identification and Gender Classification.” This technique not only provides good retrieval performance in terms of recall, precision, and F-measure scores, but it also outperforms some state-of-the-art methods.

The methodological basis of the article was the current principles of the theory of innovation, methods of cognition, which are formed in the main works on the theoretical direction of the theory of organization, theory of organizational behaviour, theory of competition and theory of system analysis. Results. The essence is examined and the feasibility of using blockchain technology to increase the competitiveness of the business and reduce the risks of its business is proved. An idea of the functioning of the blockchain technology has been formed and the advantages based on the principles of invariability and accessibility of the tool have been highlighted, therefore they should work on the safety and efficiency of doing business. The experience of introducing blockchain technology by foreign countries is analyzed, possible applications are identified. Whilst he grown up, he commenced to setup his own venture and also have a joint venture with Siti Khadijah based on mudharabah scheme. He is gifted with great wisdom in trading and has allowed him gaining great benefit through it. Due to his moral in trading, it leads to his marriage with Siti Khadijah. Unquestionably there were features on the ethics and morals in the trade that Muhammad PBUH has represented. A matter of concern was his morality that shown during trade leads to his marriage with Siti Khadijah who was initially his business colleague previously and what was the commercial strategy that empowers him to a vast profit during trading. Thus, this study endeavor to define and detail the ethics and morals in trading that has been shown by Muhammad PBUH prior his prophet hood. The results of this study display the conflicting fact in practices that has been applied amongst the community back at that time. His is abundant in honest, fairness, friendly and compassionate to the buyer, and never set up a high price, and also detail in transaction record consequential him loved by many people. Alongside the combination of his aptitude in negotiation and intelligence, he was proficient to “read” the market opportunities and learning cultural and geographical conditions of each target market led him to higher profits than other merchants. In addition, this study also articulated sixteen Muhammad PBUH’ universal values in commerce such; honest, trustworthy, fair, polite and affectionate in trade, buy-sell applies only based on mutual consent, not involved in usurious practices', only legitimate and permitted item that will sell, avoid argument with partners and buyers, no oath in the name of idols, hoarding the goodies (<em>ikhtisar</em>) is not allowed, damaged item’ replacement policy, avoid competition on price, small profits is acceptable, pay his employee as soon as the job is done, always record transaction, and be generous. Abstract. The paper is devoted to examination of consolidation factors in the banking sector in the context of Industry 4.0 and the complex global conditions associated with the global pandemic caused by COVID-19. The authors determine that the processes of consolidation in the banking sector were especially intensified in the XX century. The impetuses for this were namely the consolidation of industrial capital and expanding capacity of global markets, the growth of multinational corporations, the need to increase market capitalization of banks to expand lending capacity, increasing competition in the global banking market. The correspondence of banking sector development stages to the waves of «mergers and acquisitions» and «industrial revolutions» (Industry 1.0 — 4.0) was established during the research. It is substantiated that the influence of Industry 4.0 in the COVID-19 era provides opportunity to expect further growth in both the number and value of transactions in the banking sector. Examining the processes of banks consolidation in the global transformation of economic development, the authors found out that the main factors of Industry 4.0 and the COVID-19 pandemic influencing mergers and acquisitions in the banking sector are the following ones: impact of technology, introduction of artificial intelligence in customer service virtual banking and subordination of the goals of banking institutions to public values. The authors note that in the conditions of intensification of modern globalization processes, scientific and technological progress there is a negative impact of crisis phenomena on achieving the desired economic result, so considering the peculiarities of consolidation in the banking sector it is useful to take into account a number of current economic dynamics factors that will depend on the quality of economic situation assessment at different time intervals. The article considered numerous methodological approaches to assessing the factors influencing economic processes, which differ in the quality of information support, algorithms and mathematical complexity. Methodical tools are defined by the authors as a direction of further research. As a result of the research, the authors established that in order to understand the success of the consolidation process of bank capital, it is necessary to have a certain criterion that can demonstrate the degree of adaptation of the banking sector to the current economic environment. The obtained results indicate that it is system efficiency that should be chosen as such a criterion. The authors believe that in the modern technological way, the current concept of managing the activities of economic entities will be the «management of efficiency indicator», and not the management of the business as a whole or its individual business processes. And the article “Capability building in fuzzy front end management in a high technology services company”, whose main objective was to assess the adherence among Fuzzy Front End (FFE) facilitators, was reported in the literature its application in the innovation process of a company, an innovative multinational high-tech services company.We also published the article “The evolution of triple helix movement: an analysis of scientific communications through bibliometric technique”. The study is a bibliometric review that brings essential contributions to the area. This issue also includes a literature review entitled “Service innovation tools: a literature review” that aimed to systematically review the frameworks proposed and applied by the literature on service innovation.The technological article “A model to adopt Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence (BI) among Saudi SMEs”, in a new IJI publication section, addresses the main issues related to the intention to use ERPBI in the Saudi private sector.As we mentioned earlier in this editorial, IJI has a slightly different organization. With the new format, we intend to contribute to the promotion of knowledge in innovation. Background: Enterprises face intense competition caused by globalisation. Consequently, enterprises look for tools that provide a competitive advantage. Competitive intelligence (CI) provides a competitive advantage to enterprises of all sizes. There are many definitions of CI but no universally accepted one.Objectives: The purpose of this research is to review the current literature on CI with the aim of identifying and analysing CI definitions to establish the commonalities and differences, to propose a universal and comprehensive definition of CI and to set the borders of CI for common understanding amongst CI stakeholders.Method: The study was qualitative in nature and content analysis was conducted on all identified sources establishing and analysing CI definitions. To identify relevant literature, academic databases and search engines were used. A review of references in related studies led to more relevant sources, the references of which were further reviewed and analysed. Keywords ‘competitive intelligence’, ‘marketing intelligence’ and ‘business intelligence’ were used in search engines to find relevant sources. To ensure reliability, only peer-reviewed articles were used.Results: The majority of scholars define CI as a process and acknowledge that CI is collected from the internal and external or competitive environment. They also outline the goals of CI, which are to help in decision-making and provide a competitive advantage.Conclusion: The proposed definition outlines the process, purpose, source, deliverables, beneficiaries, benefit, ethicality and legality of CI, sets out the borders of CI and ensures a common understanding amongst CI stakeholders.

The rise of Big Data, coupled with the need for organisations to catch up with the dynamic and complex business environment, has sparked a new wave of interest in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This study investigated vendor partnership and managerial support as enhancers of artificial intelligence capability of telecommunication firms in Nigeria, using competitive pressure as a moderator. A survey was conducted among 141 managers and IT staff from four dominant telecommunication firms, and data were analysed to generate descriptive outputs, with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27. Moreover, five hypotheses were tested using the Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modelling, with the aid of SmartPLS 3.2.9. Inferential output indicates that higher levels of vendor partnership and managerial support amplify artificial intelligence capability, while competitive pressure neither promotes artificial intelligence capability nor buffers the relationship between each of the two exogenous variables and artificial intelligence capability. The study recommends that telecommunication companies should only select partners who are trusted, reliable and knowledgeable in emerging AI- enabled technologies, and emphasize lasting, strong and extensive social, economic, commercial and technical ties. Also, managers should nurture a culture that enables members adapt to new technologies; and channel resources to adequately fund AI-initiatives. A scientometric analysis as part of a Competitive Technology Intelligence methodology was used to determine the main research efforts in 3D bioprinting. Papers from Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) published between 2000 and 2017 were analysed. A network map of the most frequently occurring keywords in these articles was created, and their average publication year (APY) was determined. The analysis focused on the most relevant keywords that occurred at least five times. A total of 1,759 keywords were obtained, and a co-occurrence analysis was developed for APYs with more keywords: 2011–2016. The results indicated that Polylactic Acid (PLA) is the material used most often. Applications mainly focused on bone tissue engineering and regeneration. The most frequently used technique was inkjet printing, and the main cell sources were Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC). From a general perspective, ‘Treatment’ and ‘Bioink’ were the most frequent keywords. The former was mainly related to cancer, regenerative medicine, and MSC and the latter, to multicellular spheroid deposition and the use of hydrogels like GelMA (gelatin methacryloyl). This analysis provides insights to stakeholders involved in 3D bioprinting research and development who need to keep abreast of scientific progress in the field.

Purpose Innovation and sustainability are key in today’s competitive world. It is no longer possible to conceive an organization that has not incorporated these two elements for it to become successful. The longitudinal bibliometric study seeks to examine the topography of innovation and sustainability to determine whether there is already a terminological integration that could be defined as innovation capability in a sustainable way. The objective of this work is to identify the growth trajectories of the literature, the countries considered as knowledge nodes, the most influential authors, the classification of journals, clusters and collaborative networks measured by co-citation, the analysis by keywords, countries and knowledge areas. Design/methodology/approach The study is developed under the bibliometric approach, and the period 1990–2018 was considered. The steps taken were as follows: 16 keywords of each term were identified and selected in 3 methodological layers by a panel of experts; an algorithm was designed and applied to identify these selected keywords in the titles, abstracts and keywords using terms in the Web of Science (WoS) of Clarivate Analytics to contrast them; and a review in specialized journals was carried out in the first quartile (Q1) of the WoS until 2018. Findings The most relevant finding of the study lies in the sustained growth of the convergence of the terms innovation and sustainability. In addition, the longitudinal review of the two concepts also shows that innovation is directly linked to sustainability, suggesting that the convergence of concepts and practices becomes part of the strategy of companies seeking to be competitive and sustainable. Practical implications At the management level, this research seeks to present a definition of innovability based on the convergence of the concepts of innovation and sustainability. This new concept can be applied as a management strategy for companies seeking to be competitive and sustainable. Theoretical and practical evidences that reinforce this construct are presented. At the academic level, the manuscript shows a longitudinal review on innovation and sustainability, a relevant scientific mapping and, finally, a new theoretical and practical concept is proposed that seeks to create strategies for competitiveness in a sustainable way. At the level of society, the study contributes to the sustainable development goals. Originality/value The results show that a field of studies on innovation is emerging that has a high potential to position itself as a new space for research. The concept of “innovability” is proposed.

One of the problems in teaching Arabic for teachers at school is the difficulty of organizing the classroom to motivate students. These affect the results of their learnings weakly. To resolve this problem, the types of learning media were made and applied. One of the ways to apply it is the Arabic language game. In this research, the researcher applies the games "Whisper of Verb" and "Counting and Applause" in SMP Plus Cordova Banyuwangi. This research uses the qualitative approach and field in the five classes of students in the 7th grade. The results of this research indicate that: 1) The game "Whisper of Verb" was applied to upgrade the skill of listening and memorizing the verbal vocabularies. The game "Counting and Applause" was applied to upgrade memorizing about the numerical vocabularies, cardinal and ordinal. 2) The game "Whisper of Verb" was applied in four to five parts. Purpose Over the past decade, the term prosumption (denoting simultaneous consumption and production) has exhibited a dramatic increase in frequency of use in publications in the social sciences and business studies. This paper aims to explore the current state of research into prosumption, particularly related to marketing. Design/methodology/approach This study systematically reviews papers on prosumption extracted from the Web of Science, using two bibliometric analyses on 20 years of data: citation counts from HistCite and bibliographic coupling and cartography analysis from the visualization of similarities software VOSviewer. A total of 75 papers on prosumption were found from the period 1997-2017, and the most influential authors, articles, journals, institutions and countries among these were determined. Furthermore, bibliographic coupling and most co-occurrent keywords in the title, keywords and abstracts were found. Findings This study found that the USA and the UK were the most influential among prosumption publications. Ritzer was the most prominent author and Journal of Consumer Culture was the top-ranking journal. Three clusters were found using bibliographic coupling and cartography analysis: prosumer and co-creation, prosumer and user-generated content and prosumer and informational capital. Research limitations/implications This analysis provided a basis for conceptualizing publications on prosumption related to business and sociology in the discipline of marketing. Content analysis found that prosumption research in marketing is in early stages: little quantitative study has been conducted yet. Researchers have not yet constructed a quantitative measure for prosumption. Practical implications Business firms can engage prosumers to gain market share and competitive advantage, especially relative to value co-creation, with near-zero marginal cost. Originality/value This may be the first bibliometric analysis and systematic review of prosumption research in marketing studies. The achievements of this paper open new avenues for other prosumption researchers.

Como resultados de la experimentación de determinó que el mejor modelo fue el de Gradient Boosting, con una exactitud de 83.71%. Descriptores: Abstract The financial industry has become into a very competitive sector worldwide. In that sense, the credit granting decision is one of the most important process of all, and in whose accuracy, rests the good performance of several critical business KPI's such as loans level, credit recoveries level and nonperforming loans ratios. This key process has historically based on the experts’ judgement, and have taken the decision of granting or not credit loans according to several customer credit behavior elements. In the last decade, the developing of certain technology such AI and machine learning has allowed this process automation. The present paper has its main goal, the analysis of several mathematical algorithms based on machine learning and the exposition of which of them have the better results in credit granting predictions to collaborate with current knowledge in this particular issue, giving an objective explanation of the results and suggesting following researches to be developed in order to get better results in existing mathematical algorithms. As results of the experimentation determined that the best model was Gradient Boosting, with an accuracy of 83.71%. Abstract With growing amounts of available textual data, development of algorithms capable of automatic analysis, categorization, and summarization of these data has become a necessity. In this research, we present a novel algorithm for keyword identification, that is, an extraction of one or multiword phrases representing key aspects of a given document, called Transformer-Based Neural Tagger for Keyword IDentification (TNT-KID). By adapting the transformer architecture for a specific task at hand and leveraging language model pretraining on a domain-specific corpus, the model is capable of overcoming deficiencies of both supervised and unsupervised state-of-the-art approaches to keyword extraction by offering competitive and robust performance on a variety of different datasets while requiring only a fraction of manually labeled data required by the best-performing systems. This study also offers thorough error analysis with valuable insights into the inner workings of the model and an ablation study measuring the influence of specific components of the keyword identification workflow on the overall performance.

A long-term stationary experiment was conducted to examine for the purpose nine field crop rotation patterns different in the number of fields (four to six), set of crops, and their succession in crop rotation. The respective shares of legumes, oilseeds, and cereals in the cropping pattern were 17 to 33, 17 to 40, and 50 to 67 %. It has been established that in case of no-till field crop cultivation the economic efficiency of plant production depends on the set of crops and their succession in rotation. The most economically efficient type of crop rotation is the soya-winter wheat-peas-winter wheat-sunflower-corn six-field rotation with two fields of legumes: in this rotation 1 ha of crop rotation area yields 3 850 grain units per ha at a grain unit prime cost of 5.46 roubles; the plant production output return and profitability were 20,888 roubles per ha and 113 %, respectively. The high production profitabilities provided by the soya-winter wheat-sunflower four-field and the soya-winter-wheat-sunflower-corn-winter wheat five-field crop rotation are 108.7 and 106.2 %, respectively. The inclusion of winter wheat in crop rotation for two years in a row reduces the second winter wheat crop yield by 80 to 100 %, which means a certain reduction in the grain unit harvesting rate to 3.48-3.57 thousands per ha of rotation area and cuts the production profitability down to 84.4-92.3 %. The relevance of the topic has to do with an increased global interest in this region. The paper is aimed at considering the basic principles of developing and the procedure of testing seismic instruments for use at ultralow climatic temperatures. In this paper the indicated issue is considered through the example of a seismic module designed for petroleum and gas exploration by passive seismoacoustic methods. The seismic module is a direct-burial portable unit of around 5 kg in weight, designed to continuously measure and record microseismic triaxial orthogonal (ZNE) noise in a range from 0.1 to 45 Hz during several days in autonomous mode. The functional chart of designing the seismic module was considered, and concrete conclusions were made for choosing the necessary components to meet the ultralow-temperature operational requirements. The conclusions made served for developing appropriate seismic module. In this case, the components and tools used included a SAFT MP 176065 xc low-temperature lithium cell, industrial-spec electronic component parts, a Zhaofeng Geophysical ZF-4.5 Chinese primary electrodynamic seismic sensor, housing seal parts made of frost-resistant silicone materials, and finely dispersed silica gel used as water-retaining sorbent to avoid condensation in the housing. The paper also describes a procedure of low-temperature collation tests at the lab using a New Brunswick Scientific freezing plant. The test results proved the operability of the developed equipment at ultralow temperatures down to -55°C. In addition, tests were conducted at low microseismic noises in the actual Arctic environment. The possibility to detect signals in a range from 1 to 10 Hz at the level close to the NLNM limit (the Peterson model) has been confirmed, which allows monitoring and exploring petroleum and gas deposits by passive methods. As revealed by this study, the suggested approaches are efficient in developing high-precision mobile seismic instruments for use at ultralow climatic temperatures. The solution of the considered instrumentation and methodical issues is of great practical significance as a constituent of the generic problem of Arctic exploration. The article analyzes the results of treatment of patients with excess length of the second metatarsal bones that underwent osteotomy with and without osteosynthesis. The results of treatment of patients who underwent metatarsal shortening due to classical Weil-osteotomy with and without osteosynthesis were analyzed. The first group consisted of 34 patients. They underwent classical Weil osteotomy. The second group included 44 patients in whomosteotomy of the second metatarsal bone were not by the screw. When studying the results of the treatment in the immediate postoperative period, weeks 6, 12, slightly better results were observed in patients of the first group, while one year after surgical treatment the results in both groups were comparable. One year after surgical treatment, there were 2.9% (1 patient) of unsatisfactory results in the first group and 4.5% (2 patients) in the second group. Considering the comparability of the results of treatment in remote postoperative period, the choice of concrete method remains with the operating surgeon. Methods. A prospective 3-year study of 86 healthy dogs (aged 1-7 yrs) of different breeds and of both sexes. Echo homogeneity and echogenicity of the stomach and intestines wall were determined by the method of Silina, T.L., et al. (2010) in absolute values ​​of average brightness levels of ultrasound image pixels using the 8-bit scale with 256 shades of gray. Results. Quantitative echogenicity indicators of the stomach and the small intestine wall in dogs were determined. Based on the numerical values ​​characterizing echogenicity distribution in each layer of a separate structure of the digestive system, the coefficient of gastric echogenicity is determined as 1:2.4:1.1 (mucosa/submucosa/muscle layers, respectively), the coefficient of duodenum and jejunum echogenicity is determined as 1:3.5:2 and that of ileum is 1:1.8:1. Datieva, DOI: https://doi.org/10.26782/jmcms.spl.10/2020.06.00046 Abstract: The aim of this work was to assess the functional reserves of the body to quantify individual health; adaptation, psychophysiological characteristics of the health quality of medical students in different seasons of the year. When studying the temporal organization of physiological functions, the rhythm parameters of physiological functions were determined, followed by processing the results using the Cosinor Analysis program, which reveals rhythms with an unknown period for unequal observations, evaluates 5 parameters of sinusoidal rhythms (mesor, amplitude, acrophase, period, reliability). The essence of desynchronization is the mismatch of circadian rhythms among themselves or destruction of the rhythms architectonics (instability of acrophases or their disappearance). Desynchronization with respect to the rhythmic structure of the body is of a disregulatory nature, most pronounced in pathological desynchronization. High neurotism, increased anxiety reinforces the tendency to internal desynchronization, which increases with stress. During examination stress, students experience a decrease in the stability of the temporary organization of the biosystem and the tension of adaptive mechanisms develops, which affects attention, mental performance and the quality of adaptation to the educational process. Time is shortened and the amplitude of the “initial minute” decreases, personal and situational anxiety develops, and the level of psychophysiological adaptation decreases. The results of the work are priority because they can be used in assessing quality and level of health. Tsvetkov, DOI: https://doi.org/10.26782/jmcms.spl.10/2020.06.00047 Abstract: The present study of comparison methods based on the triadic model introduces the following concepts: the relation of comparability and the relation of comparison, and object comparison and attributive comparison. The difference between active and passive qualitative comparison is shown, two triadic models of passive and active comparison and models for comparing two and three objects are described. Triadic comparison models are proposed as an alternative to dyadic comparison models. Comparison allows finding the common and the different; this approach is proposed for the analysis of the nomothetic and ideographic method of obtaining knowledge. The nomothetic method identifies and evaluates the general, while the ideographic method searches for unique in parameters and in combinations of parameters. Triadic comparison is used in systems and methods of argumentation, as well as in the analysis of consistency/inconsistency.
