The purpose of this research was to analyze the feasibility of oyster mushroom cultivation venture white small and medium enterprises Cultivation Oyster mushrooms on the Group Affinity “Tunas Harapan Baru” in terms of financial aspect. Research conducted is a research application model, data that is used for data that is processed by the rekapan financial statements and investment amount of data that is used in an attempt to match a description patrons Group Affinity “Tunas Harapan Baru”. Data collection techniques are used i.e., interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis methods in use is composed of Financial aspects of the Analysis method of payback period, net present value, internal rate of return, and profitability index. Results of the study shows the effort which implemented the terms of the financial aspect was feasible. It is based on the results of the analysis of the payback period of 8.8 (8 months 8 days), the value of the net present value of 16,659 million, the value of the internal rate of return of 3.70 and profitability index of 2.70 where oyster mushroom business revealed profitable and feasible in terms of financial or in terms of management. The bussines development could be held by making the great outline of bussines based on the result of group evaluation over all so that it will get the profitable bussines.

ABSTRACT The use of onion tubers with various sizes can affect the result of onion productivity. The availability of quality seeds and timely is a factor which plays a role in the success of the farmer of onion. Seed in the form of tubers are planting material that has been long to used in bussines farming. The use of seed tubers has variation measure of in weight. The weight size of seed tubers give affect the growth and result of cultivated shallots. The solution of this problem is looking for the right tuber size to get maximal production and result on local varieties that have been registered and issued by the Department of Agriculture. This research executed in Bagor Subdistrict, Nganjuk Regency in April 2018 until June 2018. It used Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RAL Faktorial) with using 2 factor. The first factor was local varieties consisting of Bauji varieties, Biru Lancor and Batu Ijo. The second factor is 4 level of different size tuber weight. If there is a real difference, will be further testing using DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) with an error rate of 5%. The parameters of observation consist of plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers, tuber diameter, tuber wet weight, tuber dry weight, tuber shrinkage and number of tuber layers. The results showed that the effect of the combination of the two factors had very significant effect on the parameters of fresh tuber weight and dry weight of onion. The varieties treatment showed the best results for fresh weight of the bulbs were Blue Lancor varieties. The treatment of seed tuber weight showed results to fresh weight of tuber was the weight of a large tuber. Key words: Onions, Seed Bulbs, Local Varieties. ABSTRAK Penggunaan umbi bawang merah dengan berbagai ukuran dapat berpengaruh terhadap hasil produktivitas bawang merah. Ketersediaan bibit yang berkualitas dan tepat waktu merupakan faktor yang ikut berperan dalam keberhasilan usaha tani bawang merah. Bibit yang berupa umbi merupakan bahan tanam yang sudah lama digunakan dalam usaha tani bawang merah. Penggunaan umbi bibit memiliki keragaman dalam ukuran berat. Ukuran berat umbi bibit berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah yang dibudidayakan. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan mencari ukuran berat umbi bibit yang tepat agar mendapatkan produksi dan hasil secara maksimal pada varietas lokal yang sudah terdaftar dan dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Pertanian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Bagor Kabupaten Nganjuk pada bulan April 2018 hingga bulan Juni 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RAL Faktorial) dengan menggunakan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu varietas lokal yang terdiri varietas Bauji, Biru Lancor dan Batu Ijo. Faktor kedua yaitu 4 taraf ukuran berat umbi bibit yang berbeda. Apabila ada beda nyata dilakukan uji lanjut dengan menggunakan DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) dengan taraf kesalahan 5%. Parameter pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi, diameter umbi, berat basah umbi, berat kering umbi, penyusutan umbi dan jumlah lapisan umbi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh kombinasi kedua faktor berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter jumlah umbi, berat segar umbi dan berat kering jemur umbi bawang merah. Perlakuan varietas menunjukkan hasil terbaik untuk berat segar umbi adalah varietas Biru Lancor. Perlakuan berat umbi bibit menunjukkan hasil untuk berat segar umbi adalah berat umbi bibit ukuran besar. Kata Kunci : Bawang Merah, Umbi Bibit, Varietas Lokal.

Bali cattle breeding gives important role on animal farmer household in Bombana Regency, because it is as the source of income and also as saving for the future unit of animal farmer household. Bali cattle breeding is managed integrated with agro bussines so that it is able to increase the animal farmer income. This research was held using survey method, the determining of research location was used purposive sampling method and the respondens was choosed according to simple random sampling, involved 60 respondens. The variables which are observed include the respondens character, breeding management, revenue, cost and income of animal farmer from either cattle breeding or non cattle farming bussines.The result of this research showed that the income of each animal farmer household in the research location reach Rp. 14.776.384 year-1 with average’s family income from each bussines is Rp. 7.388.192 year-1. The average of animal farmer household income from bali cattle breeding in South Poleang Subdistrict, Bombana Regency is higher (Rp. 8.878.200 year-1) than its income from non bali cattle farming bussines (Rp. 5.898.183 year-1). The income average of animal farmer household that represent farmer’s non coastal is Rp. 7.540.100 year-1 and the income of animal farmer household that represent coastal only reach Rp. 7.236.633 year-1. The contribution of bali cattle breeding in South Poleang Subdistrict, Bombana Regency on the total income of animal farmer household is 60,08% (is categorized as bussines branch) and higher than the contribution of non bali cattle breeding bussines which only reach 39,92%.Key words: Contrubution, Income, Bali Cattle.Usaha ternak sapi bali memberikan peranan penting bagi keluarga peternak di Kabupaten Bombana, karena selain dipelihara sebagai sumber pendapatan juga sebagai tabungan. Usaha ternak sapi dikelola secara terpadu bersama usaha pertanian dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei, penentuan lokasi penelitian secara purposive sampling dan responden dipilih secara simple random sampling dengan melibatkan 60 responden. Variabel yang diamati yaitu karakteristik responden, manajemen pemeliharaan, penerimaan, biaya dan pendapatan rumah tangga peternak dari usaha ternak sapi maupun non usaha ternak sapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total pendapatan setiap keluarga perternak di lokasi penelitian mencapai Rp. 14.776.384 tahun-1 dengan rata-rata pendapatan keluarga dari setiap usaha sebesar Rp. 7.388.192 tahun-1. Rata-rata pendapatan keluarga peternak dari usaha ternak sapi bali di Kecamatan Poleang Selatan Kabupaten Bombana lebih tinggi (Rp. 8.878.200 tahun-1) daripada pendapatan keluarga peternak dari usaha non ternak sapi bali (Rp. 5.898.183 tahun-1). Rata-rata pendapatan keluarga peternak yang mewakili daerah non pesisir sebesar Rp. 7.540.100 tahun-1 dan pendapatan keluarga peternak yang mewakili daerah pesisir hanya mencapai Rp. 7.236.633 tahun-1. Because when not looking at the moral aspect of doing business, business people only think about how to increase sales turnover, and not only increase turnover, but also do things that are not ethical, such as: bribery, corruption, collusion and nepotism, it makes people uneasy . Adverse effects that will occur if a company is immoral and enforces the norms that apply in business ethics then it can have an impact on consumers' distrust of their products and can complicate business development again.

Development of Bali cattle bussines’s in North Kabaena Subdistrict need to be improved with better and more guided maintenance management. Data of factors that affect it does not known properly yet. Therefore, there is needed a research which is held to know the productivity of bali cattle breeding of either trnasmigrant or non transmigrant breeder in Kabaena Island and factors that affect it. The research material is either the transmigrant or non transmigrant bali cattle breeders that have at least 1 female cattle that has born or 1 male cattle more than 2 years old and have maintained cattle at least 1 year. The research location is determined by purposive sampling method and the research responden is determined by simple random sampling method as many as 60 respondens, consist of 30 transmigrant breeders and 30 non transmigrant breeders. Analysis which is used in this research is Bifilarly Linear Regression that is explained descriptively. The result of this research showed that bussines of non transmigrant breeder (36%) is higher than transmigrant breeder (24%). The result of regression analysis showed that productivity of bali cattle bussines as dependent variable had an comprehensively affect on independent variable (experience, age, family employee, education, areal wide, occupation, and the breeder origin) with accuracy of regression model is 29,4%.Key words: Productivity bussines, Bali cattle, transmigrant, non transmigrant, KabaenaPengembangan usaha ternak Sapi Bali di Kecamatan Kabaena Utara perlu ditingkatkan dengan pola manajemen pemeliharaan yang baik dan terarah. Data faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya belum diketahui secara pasti. Oleh karena itu perlu penelitian dengan tujuan mengetahui produktivitas usaha ternak Sapi Bali baik peternak transmigran maupun non transmigran di Pulau Kabaena serta faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhinya. Materi penelitian adalah peternak sapi Bali baik transmigran maupun non transmigran yang memiliki ternak sapi bali minimal 1 ekor induk yang sudah pernah melahirkan atau 1 ekor jantan umur > 2 tahun dan minimal telah memelihara ternak selama 1 tahun. Penentuan lokasi dengan cara purposive sampling dan responden penelitian ditentukan secara simple random sampling sebanyak 60 responden, 30 peternak transmigran dan 30 peternak non transmigran. Analisis yang dugunakan adalah regresi linear berganda yang dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan produktivitas usaha peternak non transmigran (36%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan peternak transmigran (24%). Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas usaha ternak Sapi Bali sebagai variabel dependen secara keseluruhan berpengaruh terhadap variabel independen (pengalaman, umur, tenaga kerja keluarga, pendidikan, luas lahan, jenis pekerjaan, dan asal peternak) dengan ketepatan model regresi sebesar 29,4%.Kata kunci : Produktivitas usaha, sapi bali, transmigran, non transmigran, Kabaena.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a process supported by technologies involving the development and management of 3D digital information model representations of functional and physical of the design. To implement BIM in a project, BIM Implementation Plan or BIM Execution Plan (BEP) needs to be developed as a planning and monitoring strategy document. Several BEPs have been developed around the world since 2010. However, a BEP should be tailored to the type of project, stakeholder requirement, and project objectives because a comprehensive BEP is a key factor for BIM implementation success. Also, a proper BEP helps stakeholders understand and achieve the underlying objectives in using BIM. In other words, understanding the strategic framework of BEPs is important. Hence, this study identifies and compares the key elements in existing BEPs. To accomplish that aim, twenty BEPs were identified and analysed. This study provides a benchmarked reference for industry players on existing BEPs. Through a clear description, all parties can understand the project objectives, work process, roles and responsibilities, information need and deliverables requirements in a BEP. Researchers can use the findings for further development and improvement of existing BEPs. Understanding BEPs will ensure better BIM implementation in practice.

With the proposal of the 21st century Maritime Silk Road plan, China has demonstrated its willingness to connect with the rest of the world via cooperation, by sharing its development dividends. Yet, the soaring South China Sea issue possesses great potentials in dampening China’s ambitious efforts. The Maritime Silk Road plan is one example. The key is how China can conciliate its South China Sea position, which sees a territorialization trend of the dash-line claim, and the projected posture emphasizing on mutual cooperation and common prospects in the Maritime Silk Road plan. By operating the territorialized dash-line claim in an open-end manner along with subtle management tactics, the South China Sea tensions can be pacified, the Maritime Silk Road plane can also take a successful first step by delivering its words of cooperation and common prospects.

The National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS) is Nigeria’s plan for prosperity. The plan focuses on four key strategies: reorienting values, reducing poverty, creating wealth and generating employment. In realizing the plan, education is recognized as the vital transformational tool and a formidable instrument for any socioeconomic empowerment. Policy frameworks for education were developed to propel and sustain the NEEDS initiative. The NEEDS set six goals (with targets) for education, and each of the goals is keyed to each of the policy thrust. This study, therefore, attempted to assess the extent to which the targets of NEEDS for education are implemented. A structured questionnaire was developed to elicit 250 university lecturers’ views on the extent of implementation of the education policy thrust of the NEEDS. It was found that, the targets of each of the goals of the plan that were originally designed to be a medium–term development strategy; spanning year (2004-2007) have not been fully realized 10 years after its inception. Conclusion was drawn and recommendations were made, among which are: the NEEDS planners and operators should set specific, realizable targets and time framework of human development, for students to become self-sufficient in the areas of basic needs through skills acquisition and job creation. The Forest Watershed and Riparian Disturbance (FORWARD) project input into the Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. Detailed Forest Management Plan consists of three main components: 1) watershed and stream layer maps and associated datasets; 2) soil and wetland layer maps and associated datasets; and 3) a lookup table that permits planners to determine runoff coefficients (the variable selected for hydrological modelling) for functional first order watersheds, based upon various site factors and time since disturbance. The watershed and stream layer component includes a hydrological network, a Digital Elevation Model, and Strahler classified streams and watersheds for functional first and third order watersheds in the entire Millar Western Forest Management Agreement area. Relatively coarse mineral soils (which drain quickly) and wetlands (which retain water) were the key features that needed to be identified for the FORWARD modelling effort; therefore, the soil and wetland layers represent a combined soil texture and wetland coverage. Fibroids (especially large ones) deform the uterine cavity, compressing the fallopian tubes, making it difficult for sperm to move. In addition, in women with fibroids, in many cases, the hormonal background is disturbed, as a result of which a woman may not ovulate. The factors we have listed can lead to infertility in women. Doctors recommend women with fibroids to treat fibroids during the planning stage of pregnancy or, in some cases, to remove fibroids before pregnancy. Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. completed its 2007–2016 detailed forest management plan for its forest management agreement area by engaging multi-discipline expertise to better manage forest values. Disciplines were formed into impact assessment groups, which were charged with developing indicators and targets for identified values and objectives and with constructing models to predict the impacts of forest management activities. Three different modeling approaches were used in developing the plan and the best results were obtained by integrating indicators directly into the forecasting model even when the indicators were simple versions of complex models. Integrating indicators into the forecasting model reduced the penalty cost on other indicators, permitted the model to find better solutions, provided almost immediate feedback to the plan development team, permitted more scenarios to be investigated, and provided a better understanding of the dynamics and tradeoffs. The other two techniques used in the DFMP involved the assessment of forecasted scenarios with more complex discipline specific models, which provided more detailed information about the indicators. To better understand the behaviour of curved box girder bridges in resisting eccentric design truck loads, and the influence of plan curvature on the structural response, a model study was conducted at the University of Ottawa. In this study, the elastic response of a curved composite box girder bridge model was evaluated experimentally and confirmed analytically using the finite element method. Analytical predictions of both vertical displacements and normal stresses at critical sections compared fairly well with those evaluated experimentally. The isoparametric thin shell element employed in the analysis proved to be versatile and provided an accurate representation of the various structural components of a curved box girder bridge. Despite the eccentric nature of the applied OHBDC design truck loads and the bridge plan curvature, it was evident that in resisting the applied live loads, the girders at critical sections share equal proportions of the applied bending moments. This classroom action rresearch was aimed at improving students’ skills in translating at the English Department of the State Islamic University (UIN) Ar-Rarniry Banda Aceh by using the Student-Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Technique. Throughout the entire cycles, students worked in groups of 4-5 persons to plan and write their translations. The study showed that the average score of pre- test (66) increased dramatically to reach 86, and moved up a little higher (87) after the second cycle. Cilacap Regency is one of the areas that have the highest level of natural disaster vulnerability in Central Java. Various types of disasters have the opportunity to occur and have an impact on the entire region. To anticipate the impact of these potential natural disasters, the district government has issued a contingency plan to reduce the risk of disasters.
This study aims to describe how to reduce the risk of natural disasters through contingency planning. The study uses a qualitative approach with the case study method. Data and information obtained through focus group discussions (FGD), interviews, and documentation studies. The informants were determined purposively, coming from elements of the government, private sector, and a community of 25 people.
The results of the study illustrate that the role of contingency planning is very important to reduce disaster risk. The contingency plan document clearly contains various guidelines and technical steps taken by stakeholders in anticipating natural disasters. The guidelines for the action plan are supported by techniques that can be easily learned so that the stages of the process of how to anticipate natural disasters can be carried out by anyone. The implementation of a natural disaster risk reduction contingency plan in the Cilacap Regency received support from the implementer, the environment, resources, and disposition.

An ongoing, trinational project is providing the first environmentally sustainable economic development plan for the Ussuri River watershed (URW) in Far East Russia and northeast China. The URW is host to a unique mix of northern taiga and southern subtropical biota, and contains many endemic, relict, and highly threatened species of plants and animals. In Russia, severe monetary inflation and a shift to a market economy have left some aspects of forest biodiversity in jeopardy, particularly policing for wildlife poachers, regulating CITES (international wildlife trafficking) violations, ensuring long-term sustained production of timber and non-timber forest products, protecting unique habitats, and adequately staffing scientific reserves and funding needed research. In China, broad scale conversion of remaining wetlands to agriculture and rice paddies, and of diverse native forests to intensively managed, monocultural plantations, is helping to sustain the economy but is sacrificing biodiversity. A proposed sustainable land use plan has (1) mapped resource use areas, including both proposed and existing transborder nature areas, (2) encouraged foreign investment in both countries, and (3) encouraged sustainable development of natural resource markets that will be compatible with long-term conservation of biodiversity. A hallmark of this plan is integrating the needs of the people with the capacity of the land through both environmental protection and wise resource use. The era of ecosystem management for federal forest lands in the Pacific Northwest began in 1994 with the adoption of the Northwest Forest Plan. This plan was designed to maintain and restore species and ecosystems associated with late successional and old-growth forests on over 10 million ha of federal lands in Washington, Oregon and California. The plan called for implementation monitoring, effectiveness monitoring, and validation monitoring for a variety of ecological and socio-economic components. Monitoring has become a central part of management of the federal forests in the region and managers and scientists have gained considerable experience in implementing this large and complex program. The components of the monitoring plan include late-successional/old growth vegetation, northern spotted owls, marbled murrelets, aquatic habitat and social conditions. The monitoring plan is strongly based on vegetation layer created with TM satellite imagery and on a regional grid of forest inventory plots. The lessons learned from the implementation of this monitoring plan include: 1) agencies need to devote considerable resources to insure that effective monitoring will occur at broad scales; 2) aggregation of local monitoring efforts is not a substitute for a designed regional monitoring plan; 3) vegetation structure and composition, measured with satellite imagery and inventory plots, is a cost-effective, broad-scale indicator of biological diversity; 4) some species, such as threatened and endangered species, are not necessarily covered with habitat approaches and may require population monitoring; 5) our scientific understanding of monitoring components will vary widely as will the approaches to data collection and analysis; 6) monitoring requires research support to develop and test metrics and biodiversity models; 7) links of monitoring to decision-making (adaptive management) are still being forged. This paper has been prepared as a reminder of past damaging earthquakes in eastern Canada and as a testimony of the damage suffered; isoseismal maps of five selected eastern Canadian earthquakes are presented as well as illustrations of their effects. Although features of the four older historical events reviewed herein are reasonably well documented (although not to present standards), data of engineering significance needed to perform accurate seismic-resistance evaluations have been for the most part lost owing to the time elapsed. Hence, the damage examples presented herein should not be construed as a comprehensive survey but rather as a sampling of noteworthy failures. Since most of the structural damage produced by these earthquakes was suffered by unreinforced masonry buildings, an overview of the seismic risks they constitute and their main modes of failure is presented. The first step of a coordinated seismic risk reduction plan is also formulated; its application is recommended for the mitigation of economic and human losses in future eastern Canadian earthquakes. A literature review brings some evidences that wastewater sludge disposal in the forest is technically feasible since specialized machines have been designed for this purpose. Sludge utilization could be a part of a forest management plan where this particular form of fertilization would take place during silviculture operations. Additional height yields of 350% after 4 months growth with seedlings and 250% after 3 years with young plants have been observed showing that forest fertilization with wastewater sludge is beneficial. The use of agricultural land only for disposal of the sludge production of a municipality may be inadequate; wooded areas can be used as complementary surfaces to maximize the recycling of this new resource, the sludge. <p><strong>Background:</strong> A business rescue plan has to comply with a new and vague set of obligations regulated by South African legislation. Expectations of the plan are largely unknown, yet crucial in determining compliance. Establishing an effective benchmark for the plan is essential for the growth and success of the industry.</p><p><strong>Purpose:</strong> The study set out to answer these questions: What are the most crucial elements needed to fill the gap between the specifics of the Companies Act (2008) and the further elements needed to meet the plan’s primary objective of providing adequate information to stakeholders? What are the international principles applicable to rehabilitation plans and what elements underpin them?</p><p><strong>Method:</strong> Thirteen industry experts were selected and interviewed to identify the most crucial elements of the business rescue plan. Sampling was a combination of convenience and purposive sampling. Data collection obtained data on subjects’ opinions, rankings, agreement and ratings.</p><p><strong>Results:</strong> The study was able to confirm that there is indeed a gap between the mandatory elements prescribed in section 150(2) and the provision of sufficient information required by section 150(1) of the Companies Act No. 71 of 2008. The survey revealed that in the subjects’ expert opinion, the international principles are applicable to the business rescue plan.</p><p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> The crucial elements of the rehabilitation plan selected by the experts offer insight and clarity in terms of what is expected of the plan.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key words:</strong> Business Rescue, Companies Act, Business Plans, Measurement, Insolvency, Turnaround, Reorganisation</p>

In 1890, the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago was formed to permanently protect the region's drinking water supply from devastating contamination by sewage. The solution was to excavate a massive canal across the continental divide and to thus reverse the flow of the Chicago River, causing it to flow into the tributaries of the Mississippi River and away from Lake Michigan. Later, sewage treatment works were constructed to treat dry weather flows.Each time rainfall exceeds 8.4 mm, the combined sewers' capacities are exceeded, and they discharge directly to the canal system on the average of 100 times per year without benefit of treatment. When the sewers and canal system are overtaxed, raw sewage backs up the sewers in Chicago and 51 suburbs, flooding streets, businesses, and home basements.In order to solve these problems on a regional basis, the Sanitary District in 1972 adopted the tunnel and reservoir plan (TARP). TARP is a second river system which is being constructed by boring tunnels up to 11 m in diameter in rock as much as 100 m under the city. When the surface sewers' capacities are exceeded, the excess flows will drop into TARP. Huge reservoirs totalling 157 000 000 m3 capacity will store the sewage until it can be gradually pumped back to the treatment works. As part of Local Conversion and Implementation Plan which is based on the EUROCONTROL Revised Convention the Republic of Croatia has undertaken to make a plan of implementing the Basic Continuous Descent Approach procedures. This paper addresses the issue of navigational path optimization for the A-319/320 commercial aircraft within the fleet of Croatia Airlines, during the approach part of flight, which has a positive effect on fuel consumption, greenhouse gas emission and area of surface affected by noise. The experiments were carried out in real conditions, using internal sensors onboard (Flight Data Recorder) and independent GPS system. Two types of approach were tested: Continuous Descent Approach (CDA) and Step Down Approach. The implementation of CDA procedures, just for the fleet of Airbus 320/319 aircraft of the Croatia Airlines results in approximate calculation in fuel saving which amounts to 1.5 x 106 kg annually (only on Zagreb airport). In this way, the productiveness of an air carrier, which is an integral part of the traffic process along with the airports and air traffic control, is directly increased, thus fulfilling the purpose of air traffic technology research. The inelastic seismic response of simple single-story structures, symmetric in plan in the elastic domain but having lateral load resisting structural elements (LLRSEs) of unequal yield strengths, has been studied. When yielding is initiated in such structures, an instantaneous state of torsional coupling in plan induces an additional torsional component to the response of the system. This torsional effect produces, under some circumstances, a magnification of the ductility demand of the LLRSE having lesser strength as compared to what would otherwise be expected of a single-degree-of-freedom. A parametric study has been conducted to investigate the circumstances where this amplification becomes significant, and the results of this research are presented herein. The rotational inertia is shown to have a significant influence on this transient state of inelastic torsional response. A limited investigation of single-story multi-element structures, single-story structures with complex force–displacement relationships, and simple multistory structures demonstrates that the findings and observations noted from the parametric study are equally applicable to more elaborate structures. Implications on Canadian design practice are discussed. Leaching of water-soluble contaminants has resulted in degradation of groundwater quality. This research project examined the long-term spatial variability of leaching processes within two hummocky, agricultural landscapes near Bittern Lake, in central Alberta. Analysing the distribution of soil profiles within a landscape, we created a leaching potential index based on a soil profile index (SPI) and plan curvature measurements. The index accurately differentiated locations of very high and high leaching potential from low and very low leaching potential. This index may become a useful tool to determine the variability of leaching within an agricultural landscape, to identify areas of high leaching potential, to determine agricultural best management practices, and to minimize contamination of groundwater. Compact compound imaging system with large CCD target surface has been researched. The target surface reaches 50mmX50mm, and reduces the system processing and installation difficulty. We present the system overall plan and discuss the imaging characteristics. The imaging results for sector resolution target show that the system can image with multi channel crosstalk free. The results show that whether the single convex lens system or double convex lens system, the definition and contrast of single channel graphs are poor. However we can get the super resolution image by POCS algorithm. The reconstructed results show that image quality has been obviously improved compared with the single channel image, which proof the availability of the compact compound imaging system with large CCD target surface. The present system of formal plant germplasm conservation in Canada began in 1970 with the appointment of the first Plant Gene Resources Officer. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), which has the main mandate for plant germplasm conservation, operates a seed genebank in Ottawa, which stores and documents accessions of value to Canada, and a clonal genebank in Smithfield, which concentrates on the preservation of tree and small fruits. A new multi-nodal system initiated under the Green Plan has added five new centres to the plant germplasm network. Located at AAFC research centres, plant breeders are responsible for rejuvenating and documenting important germplasm. Universities, companies and nongovernmental organizations contribute to germplasm conservation by increasing the genetic diversity available in the form of cultivars and operating plant and seed repositories. Analizamos los programas de intervención que se están utilizando como el plan PIOBIN (Plan Integral de Obesidad Infantil) que propuso la Junta de Andalucía, con vigencia 2007-12, basado en una estrategia a nivel nacional denominada Estrategia Naos y distintos estudios que avalan que unas motivaciones intrínsecas hacia la práctica de actividad física ayudan a crear hábitos duraderos hacia dicha práctica.
