Full textThere are today strong incentives for an increased understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes to facilitate the development of new technologies in the pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of this thesis was to suggest methods requiring a low sample amount for characterization of technical properties of powders.
Compression analysis was used to evaluate the formulation relevance of some compression equations. Using the mechanics of single granules to estimate powder functionality was part of this work. It was concluded that the formability of granular solids and the plasticity of single granules could be determined with compression analysis by using the Kawakita model for single components and binary mixtures of ductile granules.
Further on, the fragmentation propensity of solid particles could be estimated from compression analysis by using the Shapiro equation, enabling indicators of both the fragmentation and the deformation propensity of particles to be derived in one single compression test.
The interpretations of the compression parameters were only valid if the influence of particle rearrangement was negligible for the overall compression profile. An index indicating the extent of particle rearrangement was developed and a classification system of powders into groups dependent on the incidence of particle rearrangement was suggested as tools to enable rational interpretations of compression parameters.
The application of compression analysis was demonstrated by investigating the relevance of the mechanics of granular solids for their tableting abilities. The plasticity of single gran-ules was suggested to influence both the rate of compactibility and the mode of deformation, and consequently the maximal tablet strength. The degree of granule bed deformation was shown to be a potential in line process indicator to describe the tableting forming ability.
This thesis contributes to a scheme, suitable in formulation work and process control, to describe manufacturability of powders for an enhanced tablet formulation technology.

The subjects of this thesis are the compositions of a contemporary feminine writer in Japan - Kawakami Hiromi. Her compositions are full of ambiguous ambiance and I will take "Self" and "Other" and "Distance" as topical subject to analyze "Hebi wo fumu", "Oboreru" and "Sensei no kaban." I will find out and evaluate the common features of these three compositions to analyze how Kawakami Hiromi conveys distinctive fascinations by her compositions. In addition, I stand on different viewpoints in every chapter to proclaim to distinctions from writers. Through comparing with other writers and the features of modern literature I will search out her status of modern literature in Japan. As for the constitution of this thesis, firstly, I will analyze the base of Kawakami Hiromi’s compositions with literary style of "Hebi wo fumu" and the base of her compositions is the exhibition of her words. I will search out the distinctive fascinations of Kawakami Hiromi through comparing her methods of using words, and further, I will analyze the conversations among the characters in Kawakami Hiromi’s compositions with "reader-response theory" of Wolfgang Iser to find out the quality and the function s "the first person" in compositions. Secondly, I will search the connections of "food and sex" in Oboreru with modern ideology to review the relationships and features among "food", "sex" and "death." Finally, I will stand on the viewpoint of "the sexual urge of the old age" to discuss the concepts of asylum from special structure of time and space in "Sensei no kaban", and I will also research on what is "love" in Kawakami Hiromi’s compositions. At the end of my thesis, I will confirm and collate the viewpoits again. Kawakami Hiromi uses the features of Japanese flexibly and avoids meeting some sensitive topics masterly ,and in her gentle compositions we can see concepts of her self- criticism and the questions for system of modern ideology. I will take this for the conclusion of this thesis and provide some aspects for the prospective research.

The economy of Japan went into a period of soaring growth since 1995. With that, came a rapid increase in job vacancies specifically for young population. The population of agricultural mountain area and fishing village is moving toward cities. Due to this concentration of population, the population of major cities is becoming too dense. The decreasing population makes it difficult for agricultural mountain area and fishing village to maintain basic functions such as disaster precaution, education, and medication. The local production mechanism is also downgrading to form into sparsely populated area. Dealing with occurring social problems of local depopulation, declining birthrate, and aging issues in Japan, in recent years, the depopulated areas are undergoing various policies to activate and improve productive insufficiency, low productive mechanism, and basic livelihood functions. Under these circumstances, the upper reaches of Chikuma, Kawakami Village, which is known as the isolated region of Kawakami Village, has somehow avoided this trend of depopulation. In the past, Kawakami Village had the opportunities of development by using packhorse, draft horse, railway, and vehicles. Nonetheless, the development of transportation does not only signify liberation from its geographic location, it also denotes the vigorous characteristics of the people in Kawakami Village. Since the time of 大正, and the build of railway systems, Kawakami Village’s rigorous attitude as shown in rice growing, forestry, livestock products, and silkworm raising in any phases, its grasp and sensitivity in the trend of the time, all these are the key elements for Kawakami Village to become an index of summer lettuce production among the few areas in Japan. In other terms, with the development of transportation, Kawakami Village is transformed from isolated area to cold upland. Formerly, the agriculture of Kawakami Village was one of pristine, self-sufficient cereal targeted farming. With the development of railway and vehicles, Kawakami Village, once a region of limited natural resources, has turned to make use of the cool summer climate, and commenced to grow cold-upland vegetables; the region has then developed into free truck farming. Billions of yen in sales of vegetables have become the economic buttress of Kawakami Village, and has therefore restrained the loss of population and avoided the occurrence of depopulation. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the development process of Kawakami Village. In the meantime, facing the problems of depopulation in Taiwan, be it an ongoing process or a probability in any regions, this paper provides a reference for the making of activating policies and precautionary policies.
