Abstract:

Greinin fjallar um útvistun verkefna í íslenskum þjónustufyrirtækjum eftir efnahagshrunið haustið 2008. Bornar eru saman kannanir frá fyrri hluta árs 2009 og sumrinu 2013. Niðurstöður eru þær helstar að umfang útvistunar hefur ekki aukist. Svipuðum verkefnum er útvistað í báðum könnunum. Kostnaðarlækkun er frekar nefnd sem ástæða útvistunar í síðari könnuninni og hefur það aukist með marktækum hætti milli kannana. Eftir sem áður eru stefnumiðaðar ástæður oftar nefndar í báðum könnunum. Hvað árangur útvistunar varðar þá hefur kostnaður lækkað hjá tæplega helmingi fyrirtækja í könnununum. Svarendur virðast vera ánægðari með árangur útvistunar árið 2013 en 2009 og telja hana skila margvíslegum rekstrar‐ og þjónustulegum ávinningi. Forsvarsmenn um 90% fyrirtækja telja að útvistun hafi haft óveruleg áhrif á starfsmannamál. Nokkru fleiri fyrirtæki hafa sagt upp starfsfólki árið 2013 en í fyrri könnun. Stærri fyrirtæki í könnunum útvista almennt meira en minni fyrirtæki og þau gera það fremur vegna kostnaðarlækkunar eða vegna stefnumiðaðra ástæðna. Þau fyrrnefndu útvista meira af verkefnum sem flokkast undir stoðþjónustu og upplýsinga‐ og samskiptatækni, en minni fyrirtækin útvista frekar stjórnunartengdum verkefnum.

Abstract:

Innan Líf- og umhverfisvísindadeildar við Háskóla Íslands var gerð starfendarannsókn vorið 2016 í námskeiðinu Kannanir, viðtöl og vettvangsathuganir. Rannsóknin hafði það markmið að skoða vinnuálag nemenda í námskeiðinu, þar á meðal að mæla og kort-leggja vinnuframlag þeirra en einnig að leita skilnings á upplifun nemenda þar að lútandi. Rannsóknin var gerð í kjölfar umkvartana nemenda um mikið vinnuálag í námskeiðinu, sem birtust í kennslukönnun vorið 2015. Í þessari grein er ætlunin að draga fram hluta af niðurstöðunum, sem snýr að vinnuframlagi nemenda í námskeiðinu, og skoða með tilliti til þess námsmats sem beitt var í námskeiðinu.

Abstract:

Kannan Songs (Kannan Paattu) are an expression of Bharathi's imagination. Bharathi's early education did not expose him to Saivam literature or the Kambaramayanam. During his stay in Puducherry, he became more involved in Andal Pasuram in Tiruvaimozhi due to the contact with Sri Aurobindo. It can be felt that there is an influence of the Azhwars' consciousness and language style. Bharathi is fascinated by seeing Kannan's many struggles, starting from his birth relocation and later in his early life, and Kannan's overcoming these struggles with a smile. His acceptance of good and condemnation of evil is a lively event. Towards this, the study of Bharathi’s Kannan through the songs of Kannan, has been portrayed as a man of purpose and aims to kindle an interest among the readers to live like him.

It is said that in Silappathikaram, the Paththini goddess Kannaki had made a pilgrimage to a temple in many countries. After worshipping Kannaki, it was rain-filled, the poorness and the diseases were not there. The purpose of this article is to bring out that Kannagi temple, which had been raised for rain in that period, is now changed to Mariamman temples. Neem leaves are very special term for Mariamman. Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays are the best times to worship this Amman. They make pongal, the lamp and the tender coconut, to worship Mariamman. They will also walk in fire, take kavadi etc to worship Mariammam. Walking in fire will make you remember about the fire in Madurai. To explain that Kannaki is Mariamman, I am going to show a few sub titles.1. Vengaiyum Vembum2. Silambum Pongal Vaithalum3. Kannakiyum mazhaiyumThis can be understood by the way Mariamman is worshipped as a symbol of the Tamil culture and the Tamil worship of Kannagi. The worship of Mariamman is not the worship of the Renuka, but the spread of the Veidic religion and the attempt to link the worship of Mariamman to their religion. Lord Kannagi is worshipped as Bhagavathi Amman in Kerala. Now in Tamilnadu, Kannaki has been changed to Mariamman.

Abstract:

Markmið þessarar greinar er að skoða hvort efnahagssveiflur hafi áhrif á skipulagsform (skipurit) íslenskra fyrirtækja. Bornar eru saman kannanir höfunda frá árinu 2007 og árið 2016 og greint hvort efnahagssveiflur hafi haft áhrif á skipulagsform viðkomandi fyritækja. Spurt var í síðari könnuninni hvort einhverjar skipulagsbreytingar hefðu orðið á undanförnum fimm árum, eða til ársins 2011, áður en uppsveifla hófst að nýju í íslensku efnahagslífi. Greinin byggir á niðurstöðum netkannana sem framkvæmdar voru af Rannsóknar- og þróunarmiðstöð Háskólans á Akureyri árið 2007 og af Viðskiptafræðideild Háskóla Íslands árið 2016. Svör bárust frá stjórnendum 222 fyrirtækja árið 2007 og stjórnendum 120 fyrirtækja árið 2016. Svarhlutfall var því 46,15% árið 2007 og 24,4% árið 2016. Samanburður kannananna bendir til þess að hagsveiflur, bæði uppsveiflur og samdráttur í efnahagslífi, hafi ekki haft mikil áhrif á stjórnskipulag þeirra fyrirtækja sem tóku þátt í rannsókninni. Þó er þess að geta að 36,4% fyrirtækja gripu til samruna við önnur fyrirtæki, yfirtöku á öðru fyrirtæki eða annarra skipulagsbreytinga eftir efnahagshrunið árið 2008, en stjórnendur voru beðnir að greina frá skipulagsbreytingum sem orðið hefðu síðastliðin fimm ár. Fyrirtækin hafa fleira starfsfólk hin síðari ár, stjórnendur þeirra eru með meiri menntun og fleiri konur eru við stjórnvölinn nú en voru fyrir hrun. Stærð fyrirtækjanna hefur áhrif á ýmsa þætti í skipulaginu. Stærri fyrirtæki hafa meiri formfestu, sérhæfingu og hafa frekar samþykkt stjórnskipulag, þau hafa þrjú eða fleiri stjórnþrep og eru frekar skipulögð í anda fléttuskipulags. Þá kemur í ljós að eftir því sem rekstrarumhverfi fyrirtækjanna er stöðugra, þeim mun meiri líkur eru á því að starfaskipulag sé við lýði.

Abstract:

This paper establishes the reality of a fixed point of Kannan’s prequasinorm contraction mapping on the variable exponent function space of complex variables, demonstrating that it satisfies the property (R) and possesses a prequasinormal structure. We have established the presence of a fixed point of Kannan prequasinorm nonexpansive mapping on it and Kannan prequasinorm contraction mapping in the prequasi-Banach operator ideal, created by this function space and s -numbers. Finally, we provide some applications for solutions to summable equations and illustrate instances to corroborate our findings.

Abstract:

Silappathikaaram was written in a way to make women proud. They found that Kannagi, Madhavi, and Gopperundevi had adapted to the environment of that time. Kannagi is bound to her husband and lives a submissive life. Kannagi is represented as a woman who regrets not being able to fulfil her household duties due to her husband's separation and who does not think of herself except for her husband's happiness. Although Madhavi was born into the courtesan clan, she did not want to live that life. Through Madhavi, Ilangovadikal has made the world aware of the destruction of Kovalan and the state of one-to-one chastity, and the Kanikaiyar clan women who lived as materialistic were also noble. Even though Kopperundevi is a queen, she does not accept her husband's fascination with the beauty of a dramatist. The king, however, is interested in alleviating his wife's anger. Ilangovadikalar opines that the wife is unable to live because of the husband's death and that Kopperundevi is also applauded for chastity by showing through the character of the queen. He crowned women's chastity by saying that the gods were subordinate to chastity and that the gods themselves came down and carried Kannaki in the Pushpaka Vimanam (chariot). In addition, he made Kannagi a deity and made the kings of many countries build temples and worship her. The honour of worshipping women belongs to only Ilangovadikal.

Abstract:

Tilgangur greinarinnar er að skoða samsetningu endurskoðunarnefnda m.t.t. markvirkni. Áhersla er lögð á að skoða fjölbreytni, sérfræðiþekkingu og óhæði nefndarmanna. Engar rannsóknir hafa verið gerðar á endurskoðunarnefndum á Íslandi sem miða að því að skoða þætti eins og samsetningu nefnda m.t.t. markvirkni endurskoðunarnefnda. Þar af leiðandi voru þrjár tilgátur settar fram til þess að meta hversu líklegt er að endurskoðunarnefndir íslenskra fyrirtækja séu markvirkar. Tilgáturnar miða að því að skoða samsetningu (e. composition) endurskoðunarnefnda á Íslandi með tilliti til markvirkni þeirra. Samsetning er ein þriggja vídda sem verða að vera til staðar til að markvirkni náist. Bornar eru saman tvær kannanir, annars vegar frá 2012 og hins vegar frá 2016. Framkvæmd kannananna 2012 og 2016 er með sambærilegum hætti og skapast því góður grunnur fyrir samanburð. Einnig er skoðað hvort einhver munur sé á niðurstöðum úr hvorri rannsókn fyrir sig og samanburður er gerður. Tilgangur endurskoðunarnefnda er að tryggja að gæði og áreiðanleiki fjárhagsskýrslna og fjárhagsupplýsinga sé sem mestur, hvort sem um er að ræða skýrslur til stjórnenda félagsins eða til hagsmunaaðila utan félagsins. Tilvist endurskoðunarnefnda tengist því beint góðum stjórnarháttum. Umgjörð og fyrirkomulag endurskoðunarnefnda hefur mikið að segja um hvort þessum tilgangi verði náð eða ekki. Í lögum um ársreikninga nr. 3/2006 er kveðið á um að stjórn viðkomandi einingar sem tengist almannahagsmunum skipi nefndarmenn í endurskoðunarnefnd. Skipunarferli er því mjög mikilvægt og er hluti af góðum stjórnarháttum. Endurskoðunarnefnd fer með hluta af þeim verkefnum sem stjórn hafði áður á sínu borði og tengist því beint góðum stjórnarháttum í fyrirtækjum í gegnum verkefni stjórnar. Kannanirnar 2012 og 2016 voru gerðar meðal stærstu fyrirtækja og stofnana landsins sem falla undir skilgreininguna „einingar tengdar almannahagsmunum”, sbr. lög nr. 79/2008 um endurskoðendur. Rannsóknin bendir til þess að fjölbreytni og sérfræðiþekking hvað varðar samsetningu endurskoðunarnefnda á Íslandi sé viðundandi. Hins vegar er misræmi í niðurstöðum rannsóknarinnar þegar kemur að því að meta óhæði nefndarmanna. Engu að síður má álykta að samsetning endurskoðunarnefnda á Íslandi stuðli að markvirkara starfi þeirra. Samsetning er einn af þremur þáttum er stuðla að markvirkni. Þetta er grundvallaratriði í að skipuleggja og byggja upp starf endurskoðunarnefnda í eftirlitskerfi góðra stjórnarhátta út frá umboðskenningunni.

Yakın tarihe baktığımızda kannabis gibi psikoaktif etkili maddelerin kullanımı ile ilgili düzenlemelerin belirli dönemlerde sadece bir asayiş sorunu olarak değerlendirilerek, yasal tedbirlerle kontrol edilmek istendiği görülmüştür. Ancak, madde kullanımı ve bağımlılığı sorununun, zamanla sadece bir asayiş sorunu olmadığının farkına varılmasıyla, tedavi ve önleme faaliyetlerine de önem verilmeye başlanmıştır. Son yıllarda ise, tıbbi tedaviyi düzenleyen, yasal çerçeve konusunda çalışan ve olayın psikososyal boyutu ile ilgili kişilerin yasal düzenlemeler ve yeni gelişmeler konusunda hassasiyet ile birlikte çalıştığı görülmektedir. Madde kullanımının artık “halk sağlığı ve toplum güvenliği sorunu” olarak beraber değerlendirilmesi ile birlikte, son dönemlerde özellikle kannabise ilişkin düzenlemeler hızla değiştirilmekte, konu birçok ülkede hala tartışılmaktadır. Bu uygulamaların birey ve toplum bazında halk sağlığı ve toplum güvenliği açısından uzun vadede ortaya çıkacak sonuçlarının öngörülmesinin zor olacağı düşünülmektedir. Bu makale, konuya ilişkin yapılan çalışmaların derlenerek özellikle eğlence amaçlı (rekreasyonel) kannabis kullanımına izin verilmesi durumunda doğabilecek bireysel ve toplumsal sonuçları özetlemek amacıyla yazılmıştır.

In this article, we introduce the concept of tripled controlled V -metric spaces and study Kannan type contractions in this new structure. Also, we extend the concept of Kannan type contractions to KannanPresi´c type contractions. Our results modify some known ones in the literature. To support our main results, an example and an application in integral equations are presented.

Kannagi, the women of chaste in Tamil Nadu is worshipped by various villages in different names. Kannagi destroyed the city of Madurai and the Pandiyan king during the Tamil month of Aadi and tasted the fruit of success, so the whole month is greatly celebrated worshipping Goddess Amman. Kannagi’s worship through the Kawaagu soil which was introduced among the Sri Lankans is practiced till now. As Kannagi, along with her husband flew to heaven by the border of the Cheras Dynasty. Hence Bagawadhi Amman is worshipped in and around Kerala. Kannagi, whose life was devasted by an anklet, triumphed the injustice posed on her husband’ death by her chastity and thus established justice in the country is called ‘Folk Fairy’. This research aims to prove the above.

The literature has portrayed woman as a symbol of gentleness and a symbol of orderly violence. Realizing such a traditional background, the silappathikaram author Ilangovadikal did not portray Kannaki as a symbol of violence at the beginning of the story. But her efforts to portray her protagonist as a revolutionary woman are remarkable. Thus, his female character 'Kannaki' continues to prove that she is strong in spirit, word and deed through every action. He finally exalts her to divinity. Her ability to portray these functions through her tenderness and harshness is remarkable. This article is being prepared with such orientations in mind.

The aim of this paper is manifold. We first define the new class of operators called MR-Kannan interpolative type contractions, which includes the Kannan, enriched Kannan, interpolative Kannan type, and enriched interpolative Kannan type operators. Secondly, we prove the existence of a unique fixed point for this class of operators. Thirdly, we study Ulam-Hyers stability, well-posedness, and periodic point properties. Finally, an application of the main results to the variational inequality problem is given.

A field experiment was conducted to find out the differential response of potassium in three rice varieties. The varieties differed in their parental composition. "Kannaki' which has 'IR 8" as female parent showed highest response in terms of increased productive tillers, panicle length, total number of grains per panicle, and 1000-grain weight which, in turn produced highest yield of grain. The Grain-Straw ratio and Harvest index also found to be maximum in 'Kannaki'. The increased response of "Kannaki' to applied potassium is attributed to its female parent 'IR 8'..

Mahakavi Bharathiyar’s songs marks the turning point in the world of Tamil literature. Although there are many innovations in his works, he has never left the old and ancient tradition behind. He puts forward his thoughts, needs, expectations and prayers through devotional songs about Lord Ganesha, Muruga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kali, Muthumari, Govindan, Shakti, Omshakti, Parashakti and Kannan. Among the poems written by Bharathiyar, the devotional songs, the songs about Kannan deserve much attention. He was so fond of Kannan that he kept his name as his pseudonym. This article examines the manner in his poems by seeing Kannan not only as a male form but also as a female form, it expresses the virtues which Bharathiyar intended to tell people through Kannan songs and how Bharathiyar accepted Kannan as a friend, father, servant, king, disciple, teacher, and mother.

The idea of enriched mappings in normed spaces is relatively a newer idea. In this paper, we initiate the study of enriched mappings in modular function spaces. We first introduce the concepts of enriched ρ-contractions and enriched ρ-Kannan mappings in modular function spaces. We then establish some Banach Contraction Principle type theorems for the existence of fixed points of such mappings in this setting. Our results for enriched ρ-contractions are generalizations of the corresponding results from Banach spaces to modular function spaces and those from contractions to enriched ρ-contractions. We make a first ever attempt to prove existence results for enriched ρ-Kannan mappings and deduce the result for ρ-Kannan mappings. Note that even ρ-Kannan mappings in modular function spaces have not been considered yet. We validate our main results by examples.

The metric function generalizes the concept of distance between two points and hence includes the symmetric property. The aim of this article is to introduce a new and proper extension of Kannan’s fixed point theorem to the case of multivalued maps using Wardowski’s F-contraction. We show that our result is applicable to a class of mappings where neither the multivalued version of Kannan’s theorem nor that of Wardowski’s can be applied to determine the existence of fixed points. Application of our result to the solution of integral equations has been provided. A multivalued Reich type generalized version of the result is also established.
