Abstract:

Abstract:
Kannan Songs (Kannan Paattu) are an expression of Bharathi's imagination. Bharathi's early education did not expose him to Saivam literature or the Kambaramayanam. During his stay in Puducherry, he became more involved in Andal Pasuram in Tiruvaimozhi due to the contact with Sri Aurobindo. It can be felt that there is an influence of the Azhwars' consciousness and language style. Bharathi is fascinated by seeing Kannan's many struggles, starting from his birth relocation and later in his early life, and Kannan's overcoming these struggles with a smile. His acceptance of good and condemnation of evil is a lively event. Towards this, the study of Bharathi’s Kannan through the songs of Kannan, has been portrayed as a man of purpose and aims to kindle an interest among the readers to live like him.

Abstract:
It is said that in Silappathikaram, the Paththini goddess Kannaki had made a pilgrimage to a temple in many countries. After worshipping Kannaki, it was rain-filled, the poorness and the diseases were not there. The purpose of this article is to bring out that Kannagi temple, which had been raised for rain in that period, is now changed to Mariamman temples. Neem leaves are very special term for Mariamman. Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays are the best times to worship this Amman. They make pongal, the lamp and the tender coconut, to worship Mariamman. They will also walk in fire, take kavadi etc to worship Mariammam. Walking in fire will make you remember about the fire in Madurai. To explain that Kannaki is Mariamman, I am going to show a few sub titles.1. Vengaiyum Vembum2. Silambum Pongal Vaithalum3. Kannakiyum mazhaiyumThis can be understood by the way Mariamman is worshipped as a symbol of the Tamil culture and the Tamil worship of Kannagi. The worship of Mariamman is not the worship of the Renuka, but the spread of the Veidic religion and the attempt to link the worship of Mariamman to their religion. Lord Kannagi is worshipped as Bhagavathi Amman in Kerala. Now in Tamilnadu, Kannaki has been changed to Mariamman.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper establishes the reality of a fixed point of Kannan’s prequasinorm contraction mapping on the variable exponent function space of complex variables, demonstrating that it satisfies the property (R) and possesses a prequasinormal structure. We have established the presence of a fixed point of Kannan prequasinorm nonexpansive mapping on it and Kannan prequasinorm contraction mapping in the prequasi-Banach operator ideal, created by this function space and s -numbers. Finally, we provide some applications for solutions to summable equations and illustrate instances to corroborate our findings.

Abstract:
Silappathikaaram was written in a way to make women proud. They found that Kannagi, Madhavi, and Gopperundevi had adapted to the environment of that time. Kannagi is bound to her husband and lives a submissive life. Kannagi is represented as a woman who regrets not being able to fulfil her household duties due to her husband's separation and who does not think of herself except for her husband's happiness. Although Madhavi was born into the courtesan clan, she did not want to live that life. Through Madhavi, Ilangovadikal has made the world aware of the destruction of Kovalan and the state of one-to-one chastity, and the Kanikaiyar clan women who lived as materialistic were also noble. Even though Kopperundevi is a queen, she does not accept her husband's fascination with the beauty of a dramatist. The king, however, is interested in alleviating his wife's anger. Ilangovadikalar opines that the wife is unable to live because of the husband's death and that Kopperundevi is also applauded for chastity by showing through the character of the queen. He crowned women's chastity by saying that the gods were subordinate to chastity and that the gods themselves came down and carried Kannaki in the Pushpaka Vimanam (chariot). In addition, he made Kannagi a deity and made the kings of many countries build temples and worship her. The honour of worshipping women belongs to only Ilangovadikal.

Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to isolate the symbolism of ornaments and armaments in the epics and in the rituals of Kannaki and Draupadi A detailed comparison of ornaments and armaments in the Cilappatikaram and in the Mahabharata will be provided, as well as an analysis of the function and meaning of these objects in the ritual traditions of Kannaki and Draupadi A study of the epic and ritual significance of ornaments and armaments will not only contribute tn the understanding of the nature and the role of these symbols, but should also shed light on the interaction between the Tamilian and Sanskritic goddess traditions.
It would appear that ornaments and armaments have religious significance, signaling, by their presence or absence, transitions from auspiciousness to inauspiciousness on individual, social, and cosmic levels. In this respect, they are the vehicles of divine powers and energies.

In 13th International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics (AHFE 2022). AHFE International, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.54941/ahfe1002105.

Abstract:
Patients need the ability to accurately and efficiently communicate their preferences across outcome domains to their healthcare providers.1-7 No existing system provides an efficient and timely approach to collect and communicate patient preferences across outcome domains to support shared decision making (SDM) in orthopaedic practice.2-4,8-19 The overarching goal of this research is to design, build, and test an app that collects baseline patient preferences and health status across orthopaedic outcomes and reports this information to the provider for use in patient care. A core component of the app is a Direct-Weighting (DW) preference assessment approach, originated from our prior research, and applied in a touchscreen based interactive design. It is envisioned that patients will use the app after scheduling a first visit to a surgeon for a new orthopaedic condition. Direct weighting (DW) approaches calculate patient-specific preference weights across outcomes by asking patients to disperse portions of a hypothetical “whole” across outcomes in a manner that reflects a patient’s preferences.20 DW has low respondent burden but it requires respondents to make “implicit” comparisons which may be difficult to conceptualize.20 However, the DW approach has become generally accepted in the quality-of-life literature and it has been shown that patients dividing up pieces of a “pie” across quality-of-life domains yields valid representations of patient preferences across the domains.20-22 However, the DW approach has not been validated with specific clinical scenarios using a clinically focused set of outcomes or by using a mobile software app. Drawing on prior research, we iteratively design and develop the app with input from prior DW research, informaticians, and clinicians. We use a qualitative approach to pilot test the app with 20 first-time visit patients presenting with joint pain and/or function deficiency. Participants were interviewed about their outcome preferences for care, used the app to prioritize outcome preferences, answered interview questions about their experience using the app, and completed a mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ). Interview questions focused on the utility and usability of the mobile app for communicating with their provider, and capability of the app to capture their outcome preferences. Results validated five core preference domains, with most users dividing their 100-point allocation across 1-3 domains. The tool received moderate to high usability scores. Patients with older age and lower literacy found the DW approach more difficult in terms of allocating 100 points across 5 domains. Suggestions for DW interface interaction improvement included instantiation of a token/points oriented DW preference scoring methodology rather than a 1-10 sliding scale approach for improved preference weighting cognition and SDM with a provider. As more patient reported outcome (PRO) apps hit the marketplace across a broad spectrum of health conditions, these results provide evidence for a DW approach and interactive design for patients to communicate their treatment preferences to their providers.References:1.Baumhauer JF, Bozic KJ.
