Abstract:
This study examines the consequences of various agrarian policies and development programs on the Kamoro community in Mimika Regency, Papua Province. As a result of FI Mining activities, the Kamoro people, who were originally nomads on their customary lands, were relocated to permanent settlement where they were introduced to intensive farming systems, one of which was the Sago Planting Hamlet (SPH/DST) Program that brought modern sago farming management. There was a contradiction because the Kamoro people have been accustomed to rice as their staple for decades due to the national food policy during the New Order era and the damage to their ecological environment, especially wild sago forests. This study tries to see how the socio-cultural consequences in the community since the implementation of intensive agricultural programs are relatively new to them. Research question were answered through a descriptive qualitative approach, with primary data from in-depth interviews and participatory observations, supported by secondary data from the archive and document searches, also spatial data from Landsat imagery. The results showed that the implementation of the DST Program brought the consequences of socio-cultural changes to the Kamoro people, which included adjustments to social organization, livelihoods, and natural resource management. What happened to the Kamoro: the collapse of the production, reproduction, and consumption systems of society due to the alienation of traditional living cultures that rely on the availability of natural sources of livelihood, has made the Kamoro undeveloped. Keywords: Intensive agriculture, Kamoro, sago plantations, socio-cultural changes

Highland Wild Dog (HWD) is Canis hallstromi from Papua that was distributed in Puncak Jaya area and is close to tribal Amungme, Damal, and Moni Kamoro. The aim of the study is to find out the local knowledge of Amungme, Damal, Moni, and Kamoro tribes about the population and behavior of HWD. The research began on the interview, then continued to obeservation using 11 camera traps placed in Gresberg area in Puncak Jaya. Analysis used is interval level values, while for measuring the HWD density and behavioral we used documentation technic. Results of the interview provide various information from each tribe related to morphology, behavior, role, management, and mythology of HWD. Result of this study reveals that the Amungme and Moni tribes have a concept in the preservation of HWD. It could be seen from the habit of people who do not utilised the HWD for hunting. Instead, they prepare a place for nursery even a den for the dogs. All the informations collected from the community is also scientifically proven that HWD is C. hallstromi distributed in Papua, especially subalpine and alpine in Puncak Jaya, estimated population of HWD is ± 200 individuals. Observed behavior of these dogs are howling, rolling, rubbing, and having communal toilet spots. Generally, they have social behavior in groups with the number of 3-5 individuals and usually one of them is a male dog. Key words: Canis hallstromi;Ecology; Ethnoecology; Puncak Jaya.

Abstract:
This thesis examines how the Kamoro (also known as the Mimika) people of the south-west coast of Papua (former Irian Jaya), Indonesia have adapted to major political and economic changes over a long history of interactions with outsiders. More specifically, it is an ethnohistorical analysis of Kamoro strategies of engagement dating back to the seventeenth century, but focusing on the twentieth century. Taking ethnohistory to most generally refer to the investigation of the social and cultural distinctiveness of historical consciousness, this thesis examines how perceptions and activities of the past shape interpretations of the present. Though this thesis privileges Kamoro perspectives, it juxtaposes them against broader ethnohistorical analyses of the “outsiders” with whom they have interacted. For the Kamoro, amoko-kwere, narratives about the ancestral (and eternal) cultural heroes, underlie indigenous modes of historical consciousness which are ultimately grounded in forms of social reciprocity. One key characteristic of the amoko-kwere is the incorporation of foreign elements and their reformulation as products of indigenous agency. As a result of this reinterpretation expectations are raised concerning the exchange of foreign material wealth and abilities, both classified in the Kamoro language as kata. Foreign withholding of kata emerges as a dominant theme in amoko-kwere and is interpreted as theft, ultimately establishing relationships of negative reciprocity between the Kamoro and the powerful outsiders. These feelings are mirrored in contemporary Kamoro conceptions of their relationships with the Indonesian State and the massive PT Freeport Indonesia Mining Company who use a significant amount of Kamoro land for deposition of mining waste (tailings) and for the development of State and company infrastructure.

Abstract:
Since West Papua was colonized by Indonesia in 1963, West Papuans have endured one of the most disastrous experiences of cultural and environmental destruction, human rights abuses and mass killing of the twentieth century. In the Western Highlands of West Papua, where Freeport McMoRan, a mining company from Louisiana, United States (U.S.), operates, there have been long-standing disputes over environmental justice, human rights, the right to control development, and wealth distribution. Substantial research has been done on the negative impacts of the Freeport's operation on the Amungme and Kamoro communities who reside in the company's operating area. Yet, limited research has been done regarding Freeport's social policies and the possible solutions to the issues which are crucial for the further development of Amungme and Kamoro. Therefore, the thesis firstly examines Freeport's recent social policies which have attempted to address the two communities' concerns as well as the social problems the company has caused around its operating area. The examination suggests that genuine reconciliation between Amungme and Kamoro communities and Freeport is a crucial next step in achieving successful community development in the area. The thesis employs a case study of the South African reconciliation processes via Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) to explore the prospects of achieving successful community development in Freeport's operating area of West Papua which might lead to prosperity for the Amungme and Kamoro peoples. In addition to this, the prospect of preventing the human rights violations by the Indonesian Military (Tentera Nasional Indonesia-TNI) is considered. The TNI, by carrying out the role of protecting the Freeport operation, has until today committed a large number of human rights violations against indigenous West Papuans around the mine thus preventing and inhibiting the future development of Amungme and Kamoro communities. Since major countries, including the U.S., the United Kingdom (UK), New Zealand and Australia, have until today, supported the Indonesia state and the TNI, the attitude of Pacific Island states towards the issue is examined. Finally, although the above processes are important, the study suggests the more important role of the Amungme and Kamoro themselves in taking responsibility for their plight and taking positive actions wherever possible to solve the issues surrounding them. Although the conflict continues to the present day, the research contained in the thesis outlines the situation in West Papua only up until November 2006.

Firstly, a database of 34 boreholes, which had reached the Pajūrio system and were equally spread out in the area, was created. The reservoir properties of the formation have been evaluated using different methods. The shale content was evaluated using gamma-ray logging data, the porosity was calculated according sonic log data. Reservoir thickness was determined according above mentioned interpretation of shale content and porosity. Finally, the values of the permeability of the reservoir layers was taken from the laboratory core analysis. As a result, maps of the reservoir thickness and permeability of the Pajūrio formation were produced using the GeoGraphix software. To produce the temperature map, temperatures from the top of the Cambrian system were taken from the database of Lithuania‘s geological survey. Abstract:
This work has been prepared under the identification of a problem that many people face in their day-to-day life, who from now on will be called the target audience. The proposal of this work is to offer the market a website where they can find gift packages, which contain a mix of products that adapts to the tastes and preferences of the person to whom they plan to direct the gift. Gift packages were considered as currently in the market for gifts and / or gifts, users often look for a mix of products in one place as this reduces the time of searching for a gift in independent stores and most importantly, produces a savings in customer´s pockets. That was the reason why it was considered an attractive market that can still improve by offering eye-catching purchasing alternatives that suit the tastes of those interested. That is why Kamari was born, an online gift store where you can choose between a series of different packages to give away depending on the occasion and even change certain products from the selected package, making it customizable for the client. It is worth mentioning that to corroborate the viability of this project, the work team has carried out experiments for the validation of the project despite the current situation worldwide, achieving as a result a viable project.

Abstract:
An intelligent camera includes a processor, which can extract information from images without the need for an external processing unit, and interface devices used to make the results available to other devices. This paper describes the intelligent camera design and implementation into the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The implemented architecture contains a camera controller, a memory controller, an IIC controller, a VGA controller, and an execution unit. The camera controller communicates with a CMOS chip. The memory controller communicates with a DDR SDRAM memory. The IIC controller is the interface between a PLB bus and an IIC bus. The VGA controller takes data from the memory and transform them into the VGA format (640x480, 60 Hz). The execution unit extracts the image data from the memory. These data are processed by hardware pixel by pixel, which results in a modified image. The camera units has been implemented in the VHDL and Verilog languages.

Chinese martial art t'ai chi ch'uan emphasizes the skills of stability of the body, smoothness of movement and especially of walk. This thesis asks a question, whether the techniques of t'ai chi are usable in handheld camera work.
