Abstract:
The objective: to study the prognostic significance of non-invasive markers of endogenous intoxication for determining the risk of premature rupture of membranes (PROM) at the gestation period of 26–34 weeks.Materials and methods. During the study the patients were divided into two groups: the 1st (main) group – 80 women with PROM at 26–34 weeks of pregnancy, and the 2nd (control) group – 50 women with a physiological course of pregnancy and term delivery without complications. The mean age of the examined women was 29.60±6.30 years. To determine the diagnostic value of the level of hematological indicators (concentration of leukocytes (WBC), granulocytes (GRAN), lymphocytes (LYM) in peripheral blood) and indices of endogenous intoxication (EI) as predictors of PROM and the initiation of preterm labor at a gestation period of 26–34 weeks, ROC-analysis was performed and the average quality of these prognostic factors was established (p<0.001).Results. The optimal cut-off point (cut-off value) for predicting PROM in preterm pregnancy according to the criterion of the maximum balance between sensitivity and specificity corresponded to WBC was more than 12.39/l, LYM – less than 19 %, GRAN – more than 76 %, NLR – more than 3.87, Kalf-Kalif’s leukocyte intoxication index (LII) is more than 3.42, Ostrovsky’s LII – more than 2.76. It was established that the area under the curve (AUROC) was 0.786 for WBC, 0.863 for LYM, 0.847 for GRAN, 0.866 for NLR, 0.753 for LII Ostrovsky, which testifies to the significant prognostic value of the studied predictors. Conclusions. The main non-invasive markers of the degree of activity of the inflammatory process and the severity of endogenous intoxication in premature birth with PRPO in pregnant women are: the total number of leukocytes, the level of granulocytes and lymphocytes, Kalf-Kalif LII and the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio. In order to detect infectious markers of intra-amniotic infection and the further development of PROM and premature birth, it is recommended to calculate the level of endogenous intoxication in the second half of pregnancy using general blood analysis data on a hemolytic analyzer (WBC, GRAN, LYM, NLR).

Abstract:
A Gram-negative, aerobic, gliding motile, rod-shaped bacterium, designated XAAS-72T, was isolated from the rhizosphere soil of Kalidium foliatum sampled in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, PR China. Cells grew at 4–45 °C, pH 5.0–8.0 and 0–8% NaCl, with optimal growth at 20–30 °C, pH 6.0–7.0 and 1–2 % NaCl. Strain XAAS-72T is closely related to members of the genus Pontibacter , namely Pontibacter korlensis CCTCC AB 206081T (97.6%) and Pontibacter flavimaris ACCC 19859T (97.2 %), and <94.6 % related to other currently described Pontibacter strains. The average nucleotide identity values between XAAS-72T and P. korlensis CCTCC AB 206081T and P. flavimaris ACCC 19859T were 77.9 and 86.9 %, respectively; the corresponding digital DNA–DNA hybridization values were 21.7 and 31.8 %. Menaquinone-7 was the predominant respiratory menaquinone. The polar lipids consisted of phosphatidylethanolamine, two unidentified aminophospholipids, two unidentified glycolipids and five unidentified lipids. The major cellular fatty acids were summed feature 4 (containing iso-C17 : 1 I/anteiso-C17 : 1 B), summed feature 3 (containing C16 : 1 ω7c/C16 : 1 ω6c) and iso-C15 : 0. The genome length of strain XAAS-72T was 5 054 860 bp with a genomic DNA G+C content of 54.5 mol%. The phenotypic and genotypic data suggest that strain XAAS-72T represents a novel species of the genus Pontibacter , for which the name Pontibacter kalidii sp. nov. is proposed. The strain is XAAS-72T (CGMCC 16594T=KCTC 72095T).

Abstract:
A Gram-stain-positive, strictly aerobic, motile, endospore-forming, milk-white, indole acetic acid-producing, rod-shaped bacterial strain, designated as HU2P27T, was isolated from a shoot of Kalidium cuspidatum collected in Tumd Right Banner, Inner Mongolia, PR China. Strain grew at 10–40 °C (optimum, 30 °C), at pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0) and with 0–14.0 % NaCl (optimum, 5.0–8.0 %). The strain tested positive for oxidase, catalase and nitrate reductase. The phylogenetic trees based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence and the core genome both showed that strain HU2P27T clustered with Aquibacillus koreensis BH30097T, sharing 97.7 % and <97.0 % of 16S rRNA gene similarity with A. koreensis BH30097T and any other type strain. Strain HU2P27T contained MK-7 as the major respiratory quinone. Its major fatty acids were anteiso-C15 : 0 and iso-C15 : 0, and the major polar lipids were phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol and four unidentified phospholipids. The genomic DNA G+C content was 36.0 mol%. The average nucleotide identity, amino acid identity and digital DNA–DNA hybridization values of strain HU2P27T with A. koreensis BH30097T were 71.7, 69.2 and 19.4%, respectively. The phylogenetic, physiological and phenotypic results allowed the discrimination of strain HU2P27T from its phylogenetic relatives. The name Aquibacillus kalidii sp. nov. is therefore proposed. The type strain is strain HU2P27T (=CGMCC 1.18646T=KCTC 43248T). Based on the results of 16S rRNA gene and genome analyses, we propose the reclassification of Virgibacillus campisalis Lee et al. 2012 as a later heterotypic synonym of Virgibacillus alimentarius Kim et al. 2011.

Abstract:
Three Gram-stain-negative, aerobic and rod-shaped bacterial strains, designated RD2P54T, M1R5S18T and M1R5S59T, were isolated from a root and rhizosphere soil of Kalidium cuspidatum, in Baotou, PR China. The three strains showed 94.1–98.7 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities to Luteimonas strains, indicating they belonged to the genus Luteimonas . The phylogenomic tree based on core genomes showed that strain RD2P54T tightly clustered with Luteimonas salinisoli SJ-92T, while strains M1R5S18T and M1R5S59T clustered with each other and with Luteimonas viscosa XBU10T and Luteimonas saliphila SJ-9T. Though strains M1R5S18T and M1R5S59T showed high 16S rRNA similarity (99.4 %) to each other, the low average nucleotide identity based on blast (ANIb; 88.6 %) and digital DNA–DNA hybridization (dDDH; 31.6 %) values between them indicated that they belonged to two different species. The ANIb and dDDH values of strains RD2P54T, M1R5S18T and M1R5S59T with their closely neighbours are well below the delineation threshold values for identifying strains as representing different species. All three strains take iso-C15 : 0 and summed feature 9 (C16 : 0 10-methyl and/or iso-C17 : 1 ω9c) as major fatty acids, and ubiquinone-8 as the sole respiratory quinone. The major polar lipids of all three strains are diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylethanolamine. Based on phenotypic and phylogenetic data, these three strains should be considered to represent three novel species of the genus Luteimonas , for which the names Luteimonas endophytica sp. nov. (type strain RD2P54T=CGMCC 1.61535T =KCTC 92470T), Luteimonas rhizosphaericola sp. nov. (type strain M1R5S18T=CGMCC 1.61537T =KCTC 92469T) and Luteimonas kalidii sp. nov. (type strain M1R5S59T=CGMCC 1.61536T =KCTC 92471T) are proposed.

Abstract:
To better understand the effects of endophytic bacteria on halophytes, a bacteria that produced indole-3-acetic acid and 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid deaminase, designated HD2P242T, was isolated from a shoot of Kalidium cuspidatum collected in Tumd Right Banner, Inner Mongolia, PR China. The cells of strain HD2P242T were Gram-stain-negative, strictly aerobic, motile by gliding, non-spore-forming and rod-shaped. Strain HD2P242T grew at pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0) and 10–45 °C (optimum 37 °C), in the presence of 0–8 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 4 %). The strain was positive for oxidase and catalase. The phylogenetic trees based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences and the whole genome sequences both showed that strain HD2P242T clustered with Sinomicrobium pectinilyticum 5DNS001T and S. oceani SCSIO 03483T, and had 95.6, 94.3 and <94.3 % 16S rRNA gene similarities to S. pectinilyticum 5DNS001T, S. oceani SCSIO 03483T and all the other current type strains. Strain HD2P242T contained menaquinone 6 as its sole respiratory quinone. Its major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, two unidentified aminolipids, two unidentified phospholipids and an unidentified lipid. The major fatty acids were iso-C17 : 0, iso-C16 : 0 3-OH, anteiso-C17 : 0 and summed feature 6 (C19 : 1 ω9c and/or C19 : 1 ω11c). The genome consisted of a 5 364 211 bp circular chromosome, with a G+C content of 45.1 mol%, predicting 4391 coding sequence genes, 47 tRNA genes and two rRNA operons. The average nucleotide identity based on blast and the digital DNA–DNA hybridization values of strain HD2P242T with S. oceani SCSIO 03483T and S. pectinilyticum 5DNS001T were 73.8 and 77.0%, and 22.3 and 22.2%, respectively. The comparative genome analysis showed that the pan-genomes of strain HD2P242T and three Sinomicrobium type strains possessed 4236 clusters, whereas the core genome possessed 2162 clusters, which accounted for 52.3 % of all the clusters. The genomic analysis revealed that all four Sinomicrobium members could utilize d-glucose by the glycolysis–gluconeogenesis pathway or the pentose phosphate pathway. The tricarboxylic acid cycle was utilized as a metabolic centre. The phylogenetic, physiological and phenotypic characteristics allowed the discrimination of strain HD2P242T from its phylogenetic relatives. Therefore, Sinomicrobium kalidii sp. nov. is proposed, and the type strain is HD2P242T (=CGMCC 1.19025T=KCTC 92136T).

Abstract:
This chapter talks about Ron Kalifa, who was working at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) with a mission to turn the group created by disgraced banker Fred Goodwin into a payments powerhouse when the financial crisis hit. It cites public company Worldpay's merge with an American rival, Vantiv, which acquired a huge portfolio of new American clients and became one of the biggest payments providers in the world. It also describes the rise of Worldpay out of the embers of the financial crisis as a parable of how Britain's leadership as the originator of the financial technology that now drives the global banking system. The chapter looks at the acumen and trading skills that made the City of London the biggest exporter of financial services on earth and is now turning it into a fintech champion. The Worldpay saga says a great deal about the skill set and culture that has made financial services the most valuable wealth-creating sector of the UK economy.
