The storm season of 2022 was rich in dangerous and notable storm situations. Although dangerous stormy weather occurred also in other months of summer, especially in August, the longest period of more than a week with storms occurred in the last week of June, when the high intensity of precipitation led to a repeated announcement of even an extreme warning level. This period is evaluated in detail in the article. In that season, storm situations were continuously communicated on social networks having elicited a positive response from the professional and lay public.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court reversed the constitutional right to abortion in Dobbs v. Jackson. We aimed to explore changes in interval female permanent contraception procedures before and after the Dobbs ruling. METHODS: We performed a retrospective chart review of interval female permanent contraception procedures at a large academic center between June 24, 2019, and May 25, 2023, using relevant CPT codes. Procedure counts pre- and post-ruling were compared. Chi-squared and difference-in-mean-proportions tests were used to explore differences across periods by patient characteristics. Institutional review board approval was waived for this study. RESULTS: There were 913 procedures performed during the observation period: 611 in the 3 years pre-ruling (June 24, 2019 to June 23, 2022) and 302 in the 11 months post-ruling (June 24, 2022 to May 25, 2023). There was a 49.5% increase in procedures between the pre-ruling and post-ruling timeframes. A higher proportion of patients who identify as White underwent procedures post-ruling compared to non-White counterparts (P<.001). Chi-squared testing indicated a relationship between insurance status and post-ruling procedures (P<.001). The largest proportion of patients who had procedures post-ruling were privately insured. Patients who had procedures post-ruling had lower gravidity compared to those who had procedures pre-ruling (P<.001). CONCLUSION: There was a significant increase in interval female permanent contraception procedures post-Dobbs ruling with significant differences found by race, insurance, and gravidity—notably, in a state without restrictive contraception or abortion legislation. As state abortion and contraception laws evolve, both state and national trends in female permanent contraception should be monitored.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: The Dobbs v. Jackson United States Supreme Court decision, issued June 24, 2022, fundamentally altered options for addressing unintended pregnancy. This curtailing of access to abortion care may be an inflection point in how individuals capable of becoming pregnant select contraceptive options. We hypothesize that in the immediate wake of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, those undergoing surgical sterilization will be younger in age and more likely to be nulliparous. METHODS: This was a retrospective chart review study. IRB approval was obtained for the study. Using CPT codes, we utilized Epic to identify all patients undergoing surgical sterilizations at an academic, tertiary care hospital during the 12 months preceding the Dobbs decision (June 24, 2021 to June 24, 2022) and the 12 months immediately after the Dobbs decision (June 25, 2022 to June 25, 2023). Charts were reviewed for age, insurance status, highest level of education, gravidity, parity, and type of sterilization procedure, as well as time between request for and completion of surgical sterilization. RESULTS: In the 12 months after the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, individuals undergoing female surgical sterilization via salpingectomy or tubal occlusion had a lower mean age and lower mean parity compared to those undergoing sterilization in the 12 months preceding Dobbs. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrates that, since the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, individuals seeking female surgical sterilization are younger and less likely to be multiparous. This implies that as access to abortion care in the United States becomes more tenuous, those who seek female surgical sterilization procedures as contraception are younger and lower parity individuals.

We examined the SLHF, SST, CLW, and Water Vapor characteristics before the earthquakes to look for a precursory indication. The seasonal plot of every location for each parameter have plotted in the present paper (Fig. 2(a-d) to 12(a-d)). The SLHF, SST, CLW, and Water Vapor data show unusual behaviour in earthquakes between June 2021 to June 2022. The important aim of this study was to investigate and show that SLHF, SST, CLW, and water vapor could change during, before, or after earthquakes that occurred near or beneath an ocean. Our study could help us understand how the land, ocean, and atmosphere respond to earthquake activity.

Abstract:
ImportanceThe US Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization on June 24, 2022, revealed immediate and distinct differences between states regarding abortion legality. Whether the ruling was associated with population-level changes in seeking information on reproductive health care-related information is unknown.ObjectiveTo determine whether the US Supreme Court ruling on Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization was associated with increased information seeking for reproductive health care access in the states with immediately effective (trigger and pre-Roe) abortion laws vs other states.Design, Setting, and ParticipantsThis was a retrospective cross-sectional study of nationwide real-time internet search data by state-week from January 1, 2021, through July 16, 2022. Difference-in-difference event study estimates were used to evaluate abortion- and contraception-related internet searches after the Supreme Court draft majority decision was leaked on May 2, 2022, and the final ruling was issued on June 24, 2022, in states immediately affected vs other states. Data analyses were performed from July 18 to January 14, 2022.ExposuresThe Supreme Court’s draft majority decision leaked on May 2, 2022, and the final ruling on Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization on June 24, 2022. Preexisting state trigger laws and pre-Roe bans that became effective immediately when Roe was overturned by the decision on Dobbs.Main Outcomes and MeasuresNumber of searches per 10 million Google queries in a state-week for terms related to abortion or contraception.ResultsSearches for abortion-related terms increased from 16 302 to 75 746 per 10 million searches per state-week during the weeks before vs after the May 2, 2022, leak of the draft majority decision in states with trigger laws or abortion bans. This was a 42% (95% CI, 24%-59%) higher increase than in states with laws that protect abortion access. Searches for contraception also increased from 56 055 to 82 133 searches per state-week after the ruling in the states with abortion bans, 25% (95% CI, 13%-36%) higher than the increase in states protecting abortion access. Conclusions and RelevanceThe findings of this retrospective cross-sectional study suggest that changes in internet searching for terms related to reproductive health care can capture immediate population-level changes in information-seeking behavior regarding reproductive health care access. These data are critical for shaping health policy discussions.

Abstract:
Purpose: To compare the accuracy of intraocular lens power calculation formulas and to examine the correlation of this exactness with the axial length for eyes shorter than 22.00 mm Methods: The data of hyperopic patients who underwent uneventful phacoemulsification between October 2015 and June 2019 were reviewed. The intraocular lens power for each patient was calculated using 6 formulas (Holladay1, SRK/T, Hoffer Q, Holladay 2, Haigis and Barrett Universal II) before cataract surgery. Postoperative refraction was measured, and refractive prediction error was calculated 3 months after phacoemulsification. The correlation between axial length and absolute error was evaluated. Results: Fifty-six patients (62 eyes) whose ocular axial length ranged between 20.58 mm and 21.97 mm were included in the study. The Hoffer Q formula achieved the lowest mean absolute error of 0.09 (±0.08 D). A significant correlation for the Hoffer Q (ρ = -0.329, p = 0.009) and the SRK/T (ρ = 0.321, p = 0.011) formula was observed. Conclusions: 1. The Hoffer Q formula obtained the lowest absolute error and was recommended for intraocular lens power calculation for eyeballs with axial length shorter than 22.0 mm. 2. The correlation between axial length and absolute error is a factor which should be considered when calculating intraocular lens power.

Abstract:
Traditional theories of agenda setting address that mainstream media (news reports) can influence the public's perceived importance of agenda. However, as the rise of social media, such as Twitter, penetrated people's lives, they became one of the critical tools for receiving and exchanging information. The study examines whether social media, such as Twitter, can influence the public agenda. On June 24, 2022, Roe V. Wade was announced to be officially overturned, along with uproar on the Internet. However, a month ago, on May 2, 2022, a few news agencies reported that the decision was leaked from the Supreme Court, and the discussion on social media was not yet significantly heated. This study attempts to understand the overturn of Roe V. Wade through Twitter, which yields an agenda-setting effect by raising the public's attention. The authors used Twitter's streaming media and RStudio to collect and select a total of 10,000 tweets in two time periods, from May 3, 2022, to May 17, 2022, and June 24, 2022, to July 17, 2022, respectively, with 5,000 tweets in each period for data analysis. The results showed that the total number of retweets from the 5,000 Twitter users during the official version was 23.2 times higher than during the leaked version. In addition, after the release of the official version, people showed significantly higher levels of emotional expression and anger than during the leaked version.

Abstract:
The article provides an overview of the 29th international conference “Ezra Pound and Friendship.” The conference was held at Kyoto University from June 24 to June 26, 2022, virtually. The conference was attended by researchers from fifteen countries, including scholars from the USA, Germany, France, Japan, China, Great Britain, Russia (Lomonosov Moscow State University). Two crucial themes of the conference related to (1) Pound's friendships and (2) the Asian, in particular the Japanese dimension in the work of the American poet did not limit its participants in their choice of material. The papers presented at the conference were distinguished by an extraordinary thematic diversity, which made it possible to construct a global context to study Pound. During the conference, a number of papers touched upon Pound's friendship with W.B. Yeats, E. Hemingway, T.S. Eliot, A. Gaudier-Brzeska, B. Banting, Katsuo Kitasono. Several panels were dedicated to Pound's interactions with his younger pen friends. The very concept of friendship in Pound's work, the specificity of its perception by the poet and its closeness to the Neoplatonic, Provencal, Confucian traditions was discussed. A number of speakers turned to the “Cantos” and methods for their study. One of the most important features of the conference was its focus not only on the study of Pound's poetry, but also on the poetry of contemporary authors: according to the established tradition, the closing panel of the conference was dedicated to poetry readings and subsequent discussion.

Abstract:
Abstract: Covid-19 is an international disaster with a long occurrence interval. The research divides this disaster into four phases, namely before the Covid-19 pandemic (1 January 2019 to 31 March 2020), the implementation of PSBB (1 April 2020 to 20 January 2021), the performance of PPKM & Micro-Lockdown (21 January 2021 to 23 July 2021), and after Covid-19 is reduced (24 July 2021 to 30 June 2022). Data on IDR to USD exchange rates were obtained from the official website from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2022. Comparing the ARIMA temporal model for the four phases was proposed in this study as an inferential and descriptive way to compare exchange rates. The results showed that the IDR exchange rate against the USD closed at IDR 14,155.63 (before the pandemic), IDR 15,581.83 (PSBB period), IDR 14,362.84 (PPKM period), and IDR 14,368.16 (after the pandemic). According to the smallest AIC or parsimony considerations, the most effective ARIMA model is ARIMA(2,1,0) for the stage before the pandemic, ARIMA(0,2,1) for the stage during PSBB, ARIMA(3,1,0) for the stage during PPKM & micro-lockdown, and ARIMA(2,1,0) for the stage after the pandemic.ABSTRAK: Pandemi Covid-19 merupakan bencana internasional yang sangat panjang interval kejadiannya. During the period from January 2022 to June 2022, several events in Indonesia tend to have an impact on the palm oil business. This study aims to examine the relationship between CPO's return and market return with 24 firms as the sample. The findings show that the relationship between the returns of CPO's stocks and market returns is weak and unidirectional. It is also found that the systematic risk and return of CPO's stocks tend to be similar between event periods The findings also imply that the events do not result in a significant difference in returns and systematic risk.

Abstract:
AimsThe aim of the study is to investigate if a trend in admissions to wards within Local Division in Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust has been evident over the past five years and hypothesise rationale for this.MethodsMersey Care NHS Foundation Trust has collated information on admissions to wards within their Local Division from June 2017 to June 2022. These data were reviewed and analysed. We considered contributory reasons for any trends in admissions, for example, establishment of the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) in 2017 and the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. We also reviewed the number of assaults over this period, to see if a trend was evident.ResultsThere has been a downward trend in the total number of admissions to wards within Local Division. The average total number of monthly admissions pre establishment of the CRHTT was 186, which declines to 133 when the service was functioning. For general adult admissions, the average number of monthly admissions pre commencement of the CRHTT was 160, which reduced to 118 after implementation of the CRHTT, a 26.3% reduction. For old age admissions, the average number of monthly admissions was 25, which reduced to 19 after implementation of the CRHTT, a 24% reduction. At the height of the Coronavirus pandemic, the average number of admissions dropped to 124, and 80% of results fell below the trendline. There was a less significant reduction in old age admissions due to the Coronavirus pandemic, perhaps reflecting less family support during lockdown periods, reduced access to carers and less input from the community mental health team in care homes; all of which could increase the need for older adults to be admitted to inpatient mental health beds. The number of assaults across wards within Local Division increased significantly from 602 in 2017 to 1527 in 2021. This suggests there is perhaps a higher threshold to admit patients, with more significant risk profiles.ConclusionA downward trend in admissions to Local Division within Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust has been evident since 2017.There are a several factors that could have contributed to this, including commencement of the CRHTT and restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The significant increase in the number of assaults, may also suggest there is now a higher threshold to admit patients, with more significant risk profiles.

Abstract:
How do Google Search results change following an impactful real-world event, such as the U.S. Supreme Court decision on June 24, 2022 to overturn Roe v. Wade? And what do they tell us about the nature of event-driven content, generated by various participants in the online information environment? In this paper, we present a dataset of more than 1.74 million Google Search results pages collected between June 24 and July 17, 2022, intended to capture what Google Search surfaced in response to queries about this event of national importance. These search pages were collected for 65 locations in 13 U.S. states, a mix of red, blue, and purple states, with respect to their voting patterns. We describe the process of building a set of circa 1,700 phrases used for searching Google, how we gathered the search results for each location, and how these results were parsed to extract information about the most frequently encountered web domains. We believe that this dataset, which comprises raw data (search results as HTML files) and processed data (extracted links organized as CSV files) can be used to answer research questions that are of interest to computational social scientists as well as communication and media studies scholars.

Abstract:
White-barred goby Amblygobius phalaena is a highly valued marine ornamental fish, but its captive reproduction and early life history are poorly understood. In this study, the captive reproductive behavior, early development, and optimal temperature and salinity for the larval survival and viability of A. phalaena were investigated for the first time. Spawning occurred between 11:00 and 13:00, with the breeding pairs naturally spawning 24 times from 1 June 2021 to 30 June 2022. The fecundity ranged from 11,022 to 95,858 eggs per spawning event. Hatching occurred approximately 81 h and 26 min after fertilization at a temperature of 27.0 ± 0.9 °C. Newly hatched larvae had a total length (TL) of 1.91–2.03 mm with 24–26 somites. The larvae transformed into juveniles at 30 days post-hatch. Experiments were conducted at different temperatures (21, 24, 27, 30, and 33 °C) and salinities (18, 24, 30, and 36 ppt) to determine the optimal conditions for larval survival and viability. The results indicate that the most suitable conditions in terms of temperature were in the range of 21–27 °C and 30 ppt for salinity. These findings provide valuable insights for the future development of captive-breeding techniques and the commercial production of other marine ornamental gobies.

Abstract:
Pre-monsoon season (March to May) is very challenging as convective activities prevails almost throughout the country. Most of the Rabi crops harvesting affected and sometimes suffer great losses due to sudden rain or high winds. INSAT-3D/3DR satellite images and derived products provides continuous support to the forecasters and end users in monitoring such events and thereafter significant value addition improves the prediction. This information was found to be very useful where actual ground based or upper air observations are limited or especially over data sparse or difficult terrain regions. In this work, we have examined three weather events at different Geographical locations (i) Rainfall over Bihar-24-26 June, 2020 (ii) Delhi & NCR region on 17 June, 2022 (iii) NE region activity in 16-18 June, 2022. The Real Time Analysis of Products and Information Dissemination (RAPID) web based tool was utilized in monitoring and diagnosing the convective weather events based on the brightness temperature & derived products like Outgoing longwave radiation, upper tropospheric humidity, insolation etc & RGB imagery composite in terms of day & night time microphysics daily operational products. The time series of the wind derived products for Delhi NCR rainfall and NE rainfall products also generated through RAPID. The synoptic model analysis provides valuable inputs for these mesoscale convective weather events. The southerly wind flow (at 925 hPa) and velocity convergence (at 500 hPa) analysis of European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF) supports the severity of NE event occurred on 16-18 June, 2022. Therefore, utilization of near real time INSAT-3D/3DR products along with appropriate synoptic model analysis can help the forecasters to understand better about such mesoscale convective events & accurate forecast with sufficient lead time can save the life and property.

Abstract:
Abstract Introduction Hypercalciuria is one of the reported complications in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT). Profound hypercalciuria in the settings of renal stones is considered to be one of the indications for parathyroidectomy. However, limited data is available to describe the rate of hypercalciuria resolution following successful parathyroidectomy in patients with PHPT who had elevated pre-op 24 hour urine calcium levels. Objective To describe efficacy of successful parathyroidectomy (defined as normalization of serum calcium) in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism and hypercalciuria (defined as 24 hour urine calcium > 250 mg/24 hr) on resolution of hypercalciuria (defined as 24 hour urine calcium < 200 mg/24hr). Design: This is a retrospective study in which 51 eligible patients (with parathyroidectomies performed from August 2015 to June 2021) were chart reviewed. Twenty nine patients with complete records pre and post parathyroidectomy were included in the analysis. Setting: Single outpatient endocrinology center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Participants: A population of 29 adults aged 29 to 72 years with confirmed primary hyperparathyroidism and hypercalciuria who had a complete resolution of hypercalcemia status post parathyroidectomy. Main outcome measure: Resolution of hypercalciuria. Results 12 patients (41%) had complete resolution of hypercalciuria after parathyroidectomy. The mean age among patients with resolution was 61.4 years (SD 6.7 years) at the time of surgery vs. 50.5 (SD 11.9 years) among not responders (p= 0.008). There was no significant difference between the resolved and not resolved groups with regard to sex, history of renal stones, history of osteoporosis, location of parathyroid adenoma, pre-op PTH, calcium, and 24 hour urine calcium (p >0.05). Nephrolithiasis occured in 34% of cases. Osteoporosis occurred in 24% of cases. Average pre-op 24 hour urine calcium was 427 mg/24hr (SD 134 mg/24hr, collected on average at 5 months pre-op). Average post-op 24 hour urine calcium was 204 mg/24hr (SD 83 mg/24hr, collected on average at 22 months post-op). In a multivariate analysis, for each year of age (at the time of surgery) increase, the odds of resolution of hypercalciuria increased by 37% (p= 0.036, 95% CI [1.020-1.840]; stepwise logistic regression). For each 1 mg increase in pre-op urine calcium odds of resolution of hypercalciuria decreased by 1.7% after successful parathyroidectomy (p=0.033, 95% CI [0.967, 0.999]). Conclusions These results suggest that hypercalciuria is less likely to resolve in younger patients with PHPT after successful parathyroidectomy compared to older adults. Our data also suggests that resolution of hypercalciuria in primary hypercalciuria is inversely related to the pre-op 24 hour urine calcium levels (the higher the pre-op 24 hour urine calcium level, the less likely the hypercalciuria to resolve after successful parathyroidectomy). Presentation: Sunday, June 12, 2022 1:12 p.m. - 1:17 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2022 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Abstract:
Background: Phototherapy is the first line of treatment for physiological jaundice. However, it has its own set of complications. Hypocalcaemia is a less frequent but a potential complication of phototherapy. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of 24 hours of phototherapy on the serum blood calcium levels of the newborn after 24 hours of exposure and the need for supplementation in these new born babies. Methods: A cross sectional observational study was conducted at our institute on 31 newborn babies born between June 2022 to December 2022. All term neonates who developed clinically significant physiological jaundice after 48 hours of life were subjected to double surface phototherapy with LED blue light for 24 hours. These babies were screened for their serum calcium levels by venous blood sampling before the commencement of the phototherapy. The same sampling was repeated after 24 hours of exposure to the phototherapy lights to see the effect on serum calcium levels of the newborn. Results: Phototherapy was given for 24 hours. Mean serum calcium measured at 48 hours of life prior to phototherapy was 9.25±0.62 mg/ml. Also, mean serum calcium at 24 hours post phototherapy was 8.74±0.38 mg/ml. A highly significant decrease in serum calcium level was seen post phototherapy (p=0.0002). Independent samples t test was used. Conclusions: In healthy term neonates exposed for only 24 hours of phototherapy decrease in serum calcium levels to some extend was noted however it is unlikely to cause clinically significant hypocalcemia.

Abstract:
Abstract Introduction Insulin is a high-alert medication which can cause significant patient harm if used inappropriately and has been identified as a significant medication safety concern in Galway University Hospitals. The first hospital-wide insulin review[1] was conducted in 2022 to evaluate insulin prescribing/administration practices and identify/develop quality improvements inclusive of: -The appointment of a senior pharmacist with a special interest in diabetes (June 2022), -An updated insulin record (November 2022; previous edition June 2019), -Development/implementation of a bespoke local eLearning module for the safe use of high-alert medications including insulin (March 2023), and -Continuous education on appropriate use for healthcare staff and patients/carers. Aim The aim was to conduct a similar insulin study to assess performance since the previous review, and develop further quality improvements as needed. Methods This study was conducted over one day in June 2023 on 24 wards by 26 interprofessional data collectors. Inclusion criteria comprised inpatients prescribed and/or administered insulin for the previous 72 hours. Exclusion criteria comprised non-admitted patients, short stay wards, critical care, maternity, and psychiatry. The protocol and tool were approved by the local Clinical Audit Committee, piloted with four inpatients, and communicated to all data collectors prior to commencement. Generated data were anonymous and securely stored. Data analysis was carried out using Excel by three independent researchers to confirm reliability of results. Results In total 557 inpatients were reviewed, of which 21% (116/557) had diabetes and 10% (56/557) were prescribed insulin. Nearly three-quarters (73%; 41/56) were prescribed a meal-time supplement, whilst 68% (38/56) were prescribed regular insulin – of which 63% (24/38) comprised prescribing errors, an improvement from 78% (32/41) in 2022. Administration errors comprised 84% (32/38) of records, similar to the 88% (36/41) error rate observed in 2022. Approximately one-fifth (21%; 8/38) of insulin orders were not signed by a prescriber, compared to 12% (5/41) the previous year. More than nine out of ten prescribers clearly documented the correct insulin name, dose, and administration times, and 71% (27/38) documented a medical council registration number, bleep, or name for contact purposes, compared to 59% (24/41) the previous year. Failure to document administration times was noted in 42% (16/38) of instances compared to 46% (19; n=41) the previous year. Insulin was not double-checked by a second independent individual in 21% (8/38) of cases, compared to 29% (12; n=41) in 2022. Conclusion Results have identified an overall practice improvement. Building on recent interventions implemented and incorporating newer strategies will aid in enhanced insulin use. An updated version of the insulin record has been implemented due to the recent discontinuation of the referenced perioperative fluid and the introduction of non-referenced blood ketone monitors. High leverage strategies such as ePrescribing is a current consideration to standardise practices. Conducting a study over a longer period may identify further trends. Strengths include study robustness, interprofessional collaboration, and transferability to other hospitals. Disseminating results and promoting benefits should encourage Irish hospitals to participate in a standardised national annual review to optimise patient care. References 1. Abstract:
The study aims to examine the effects relating to long-distance teacher training during the Corona virus crisis on the professional development of training teachers, and the strategies used by training teachers in dealing with the pedagogical, technological, social and emotional challenge of student-teachers under these conditions. A survey that included 71 teacher-students who were active participants within the (AC) program was conducted, within the Arab community of the Israeli educational system. Findings suggest that the research participants are generally in favor of the old-fashioned, real-life, face-to-face teaching environment where reaction with students could be unlimited by virtual barriers or technical glitches and difficulties. Despite the technical and social challenges, and regardless of the fact that the great majority of the participants were in favor of the old, pre-pandemic system, training teachers view this method as an opportunity for further flexibility and diversity in teacher training. Abstract:
On June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court overturned landmark rulings made in its 1973 verdict in Roe v. Wade. The justices by way of a majority vote in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, decided that abortion wasn't a constitutional right and returned the issue of abortion to the elected representatives. This decision triggered multiple protests and debates across the US, especially in the context of the midterm elections in November 2022. Given that many citizens use social media platforms to express their views and mobilize for collective action, and given that online debate provides tangible effects on public opinion, political participation, news media coverage, and the political decision-making, it is crucial to understand online discussions surrounding this topic. Toward this end, we present the first large-scale Twitter dataset collected on the abortion rights debate in the United States. We present a set of 74M tweets systematically collected over the course of one year from January 1, 2022 to January 6, 2023.

Abstract:
Purpose: To determine the effect of carboprost tromethamine and carbetocin on coagulation factors and prognosis in puerpera with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia. Methods: A total of 80 high-risk pregnant women with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia admitted to Longyan First Hospital Affiliated of Fujian Medical University, Longyan, China from June 2021 to June 2022 were randomly divided into control group (oxytocin + carboprost tromethamine, n = 40) and study group (oxytocin + carboprost tromethamine + carbetocin, n = 40). Vaginal bleeding volume was recorded for both groups at delivery, and 2 and 24 h after delivery. Decrease in hemoglobin level 24 h after delivery, as well as levels of coagulation factors, and adverse drug reactions before and after treatment were assessed. Results: The third stage of labor, postpartum hemorrhage at 2 and 24 h, and decrease in hemoglobin 24 h after delivery in the study group were lower (p < 0.05). Compared with that before treatment, PLT and FIB levels also fell, while APTT and PT levels rose in both groups after treatment for 24 h (p < 0.05). Platelet count and fibrinogen levels in the study group were lower after treatment for 24 h, but APTT and PT levels were higher (p < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse drug reactions between both groups (15.00 vs 12.50 %; p > 0.05).Conclusion: Co-administration of carboprost tromethamine with carbetocin prevents high-risk postpartum hemorrhage in pregnant women due to uterine inertia. It also reduces the level of bleeding, and promotes recovery of coagulation function. However, further clinical trials on a larger scale are recommended prior to the application of this treatment strategy in clinical practice.

Abstract:
The disease curly leaves (Taphrina deformans Berk.) leads to a weakening of the nectarine plant, a decrease in its yield. This study was conducted in order to study the resistance to this disease of new cultivars of nectarines for Azerbaijan, such as Redhaven, Gardeta and Luciano. 15 fruit-bearing trees of each cultivar were taken under observation at the experimental farm of the Research Institute of Fruit and Tea Growing, located near the city of Guba. It was found that the period from the beginning to the end of flowering in varieties is the same – 9 days in 2021 and 14 in 2022. The beginning of leaf bud blooming in 2021 fell on 18-19.III, in 2022 – on 23-24.III. Although in 2021 nectarines of all varieties bloomed 5 days earlier (23-24.III) than in 2022, in the first year the fruits of all varieties ripened in mid-July, in the second - at the end of June (Redhaven and Gardeta) and at the end of the first decade of July (Luciano). In 2022, Redhaven and Gardeta's leaves began to fall 5 and 3 days later, and Luciano's leaves began to fall a month earlier (25.XI) than in 2021. According to the degree of prevalence of curly leaves, the cultivars are arranged in the following order: Luciano 4.6%, Gardeta 4.9% and Redhaven 5.2%. The results obtained help to better understand the characteristics of new varieties of nectarines for the region.

Abstract:
On February 24, 2022, global political landscapes were shaken by Russian invasion of Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized that his actions were necessary to defend Russia against perceived Western expansionism, with Ukraine being a prominent example due to its expressed intention to join North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and European Union (EU). This study aims to analyze the framing of the Russian invasion of Ukraine by four media outlets, namely The Jakarta Post, Al Jazeera, Reuters, and The New York Times. A total of 120 news stories published between the 15th of February and the 15th of March 2022 were analyzed using NVivo software. The four media outlets portrayed Russia negatively, describing the country as aggressive and invading Ukraine while also criticizing its political measures. Abstract:
The conflict in Ukraine it is a new challenge for the EU insofar as Ukrainian President Zelenski's application for EU membership on 28 February 2022 had direct and indirect consequences for the EU's future. Three days later, Georgia and Moldova submitted similar applications. In a period of less than four months, at the European Council of 23-24 June 2022, EU leaders decided to grant Ukraine and Moldova candidate status and recognized Georgia's “European perspective”, a step towards formal candidacy. Never have EU countries reacted affirmatively so quickly to an application for EU membership, but behind the EU's swift response in adopting a new enlargement project was a geopolitical logic strategy, and there is no doubt that this was a historic decision it could not avoid. Issues arising from the complex accession process and the possible options will be addressed in this article.

Abstract:
The recent development of satellite products for observing precipitation based on different technologies (microwaves, infrared, etc.) allows for near-real-time meteorological studies. The purpose of this article is to evaluate 11 satellite products (GHE, PDIR, IMERG-Early v6, IMERG-Late v6, CMORPH v0.x, CMORPH-RT v0.x, GSMaP-NRT v7, GSMaP-NRT-GC v7, GSMaP-NOW v7, GSMaP-NOW-GC v7, and DATABOURG) currently available and compare them to 2 ground-based radar networks (PANTHERE and OPERA) and the French rain-gauge network RADOME. Two case studies of intense precipitation over France (22 to 25 April 2022 and 24 to 29 June 2022) were selected. The radar estimations are closer to the RADOME observations than the satellite-based estimations, which tend to globally underestimate the precipitation amounts over the areas of interest while OPERA tends to strongly overestimate precipitation amounts during the June case study. The PANTHERE radar product and the carrier-to-noise product DATABOURG shows promising results. Near-real-time satellite products tend to have closer precipitation amounts to the reference dataset than satellite products with a shorter latency. The use of these datasets for nowcasting developments is plausible but further analyses must be conducted beforehand.
