Abstract:
The pursuit of happiness represents one of the major paradoxes of Erasmus' best-known work, Encomium Moriae (The Praise of Folly) (1511). While spiritual bliss is upheld as the ultimate form of happiness, the speaking subject celebrating it, who is no other than Folly herself, also argues for the superiority of the pleasures derived from the five senses. The narrative strategy which helps to maintain such an ambiguous position with regards to the ideal form of happiness, however, was scarcely Erasmus' invention, although he has been traditionally credited for it. As shown by the present comparative analysis, the praise of sensory pleasure through the mouth of Folly can be found in a nearly contemporary source, the Stultiferae naves (The Ship of Foolish Maidens) (1501). This work was probably well-known to Erasmus, since it belonged to the famous early-humanist printer, editor, commentator, and author Jodocus Badius Ascensius, who was also his principal Parisian editor until a regrettable event put an end to their relationship.

Abstract:
Background:The etiopathogenesis of axial spondyloarthritis (AxSpA) is multifactorial. The possible role of alteration in gut microbiome (dysbiosis) has been recently suggested. However, the association of dysbiosis with structural damage is still unknown and further studies are needed to assess its association with disease activity. Objectives:To determine the alterations in the gut microbiota in AxSpA patients. To evaluate whether changes in the gut microbiota in AxSpA patients are associated with structural damage or disease activity. Methods:Fifteen AxSpA patients and 15 healthy donors (HDs) were included in a cross-sectional study. Disease activity variables such as C-reactive protein and ESR were measured. Structural damage was determined by lateral X-rays of the cervical and lumbar spine to establish the mSASSS index. Axial mobility was evaluated using the BASMI index and the enthesis affectation was evaluated using ultrasound to obtain the MASEI index. Gut microbiota was measured using the Ion Torrent S5 platform and sequences were processed using the QIIME2. Chi-square and Mann-Whitney U were used, and correlations were determined using the Spearman Rho test. Significant differences were considered p <0.05.Results:Alpha diversity indicators, such as the number of observed OTUs group and the faith index, showed a greater richness in AxSpA compared to HDs (p=0.03 and p=0.01). A significant decrease in family Bacteroidaceae (p=0.006) and an increase in families Synergistaceae and Bifidobacteriaceae were found in the microbiota of AxSpA (p=0.036, p=0.049). According to genera, Bacteroides decreased in AxSpA (p=0.006), while Dialister and Bifidobacterium increased (p=0.010 and p=0.046). Positive correlation among lumbar mSASSS (r=0.508, p=0.019) and Synergistaceae was found. This family was also increased along with the increase in enthesis damage (MASEI index (r=0.656, p=0.028)) and axial mobility by the BASMI index (r=0.529, p=0.011). Correlation studies between the decrease in Bacteroidaceae and Bacteroides with disease activity measured by ASDAS (r=-0.697, p=0.025; r=-0.770, p=0.009) was also significant. Positive correlation was observed between Dialister with mSASSS (r=0.549, p=0.010) and BASMI (r=0.512, p=0.015).Conclusion:1) AxSpA patients had a significant alteration of the gut microbiota. 2) These alterations are associated with radiographic damage, disease activity, affectation of enthesis and axial mobility.Acknowledgments:PRL, supported by “Sara Borrell” (CD19/00216), IMI supported by “Miguel Servet tipo I” (CP16/00163), CGR supported by JdC Incorporación (IJCI-2017-33065). Abstract:
Badius is one of the prominent, most proficient printers of the early XVIth century. Established first in Lyons (1491-1498), then in Paris (1499-1535), he published a large number of classical textes, most of them in Latin, and played a major part in spreading through France the works of Italian humanists such as Lorenzo Valla or Poliziano, as well as fostering the French humanism by publishing its most highly-regarded names, such as Lefèvre d’Etaples and Guillaume Budé. He was also one of the famous Erasmus of Rotterdam’s appointed publishers. The two hundred and twenty-eight paratextual epistles which he wrote throughout his career to head his editions offer an especially rich source for apprehending his editorial project. This study first strives to present the paratextual apparatus of Badius’s editions, and the complex rhetoric implemented in the preliminary epistles. It then endeavours to piece together the printer’s many relationships, thus allowing to assess who supported, and who pressured, him. The last part of this study analyses Badius’s editorial project, and his ambition to combine the learning of the bonae litterae with that of the boni mores, in his edition of both classical and humanistic works, a program which only the religious controversies of his time would put to a trial

Abstract:
The poet B. Spagnoli Mantuanus (1447-1516) had acquired great fame in Renaissance Europe. Often compared to Virgil, he drew his celebrity from his earlier works : the eclogues of Adulescentia, the Parthenice and the Silvae. From the end of the Quattrocento, an original poetic art arises through his works, combining the author's spirituality and the influence of the theory on literary style and emotional inspiration of Angelo Poliziano based upon Statius and Quintilian. In the Silvae - the 1503 anthology providing obvious evidence - Mantuan embraces the Alexandrian tradition brought back into fashion by Poliziano. He does this in order to take for himself the principle of an improvised epideictic writing, adapted to his ingenium and oriented towards self-expression. Arguing for the mediocritas of Horace, he promoted modern virtue and Christian meditation on glory and salvation. He chose to define the simplicity of a spontaneous celebration of faith as a writing principle, as opposed to the high poetic styles he considered to be impersonal and beyond reach. The influence of his poetry on the French poets of the Marot generation and the Pleiade is explained by the freedom of style inherent to the principles that Mantuan selected for his own poetry. These lie inbetween brief extemporary writing and search for erudite variety, as illustrated by the fragile impromptu of the Silvae where a refined celebration arose in his confession about the world and virtue. The afore-mentioned French authors, following Erasmus and various humanists of the 16th century, did consider him as a model of the lyrical poetry of the Renaissance, allying spirituality, praise and familiar inspiration

Abstract:
This thesis presents a survey of the reception of Seneca's tragedies between Quattrocento and Cinquecento, focusing on printed editions (incunabula and cinquecentine published until 1514) and vernacular translations. The first chapter summarizes the circulation of Seneca's tragedies in manuscripts during the Middle Ages. The second chapter contains the catalogue and the description of the printed editions of the tragedies from the editio princeps (Ferrara, before 17 December 1478) to the three-comment edition edited by Josse Bade (Paris, 5 December 1514). For each edition, I analyzed the paratexts (prefaces, dedicatory letters, comments, poems, illustrations) and I reconstructed the identities of the personalities who contributed to the publication (editors, commentators, dedicatees, printers). Prefaces and dedicatory letters are published in the appendices with an Italian translation. A section is devoted to the humanistic commentaries by Gellio Bernardino Marmitta, Daniele Caetani and Josse Bade. In the third chapter I focused on the five vernacular translations of Seneca's tragedies produced until 1497. The first is contained in the unfinished poem "Ippolito e Fedra" by Sinibaldo da Perugia (before 1384). The second is an anonymous prose translation produced in the Neapolitan area during the first half of the fifteenth century. The third is the verse translation by Evangelista Fossa of the "Agamemnon", printed in Venice on 28 January 1497. The fourth is the verse translation by Pizio da Montevarchi of the "Hercules furens", preserved in the manuscript 106 of the Classense Library of Ravenna (1497-1498). The fifth is the verse translation of the "Hippolytus", again by Pizio da Montevarchi, printed in Venice on 2 October 1497. In my thesis, I edited the texts of the last three vernacular translations.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The main features of geological and tectonic structure, relief, climate, hydrography, soils, natural vegetation are outlined in the article, as well as landscapes are described and the scheme of physical and geographical zoning of Luhansk region (Ukraine) is given. The analysis of the southern (right bank of the Seversky Donets River) and northern (left bank of the Seversky Donets River) parts of Luhansk region from the standpoint of land development. Intensive and extensive agricultural activity over the centuries and the consequences it has led to have been studied. Emphasis is placed on the irrational attitude to the natural resources of Luhansk region, which refers it to environmentally dangerous (problematic) regions of Ukraine. The purpose of this publication is to analyze the spatial features of land use, namely the natural preconditions for land development in Luhansk region (Ukraine). Statement of scientific and practical problem. The territory of Luhansk region, as of today, is characterized by a high level of economic development, which has exacerbated environmental problems, the solution of which requires, first of all, change the structure of land use, reclamation of eroded lands, create land protection projects and implement them. The greatest environmental danger is posed by lands occupied by mining enterprises and industries, as well as those lands that are in their area of influence. That is why the study of natural preconditions for land development in Luhansk, features of geological and tectonic structure, relief, climate, hydrography, soils, natural vegetation, as well as landscapes of Luhansk region is a key element in solving these problems in the study region. Relevance and novelty of the study. One of the most important components of the natural environment of human life are land resources, which are the main means of production, the most important component of the resource base of agriculture, as well as the spatial basis for the location of all sectors of the economy. The invaluable importance of land resources in all spheres of human life necessitates their study and implementation of the idea of comprehensive protection of productive lands as a guarantee of food, economic and environmental security of the state. In Ukraine, there is a very critical situation in agricultural land use. Land resources are rapidly degrading, which in the future may threaten the food security of the state. A striking example of human waste is the practice of irrational land use in Luhansk region, which is located in the far east of Ukraine. Due to the special circumstances of today (military action in the Luhansk region) research in the field of land resources is becoming very acute. Among the administrative regions of Ukraine, Luhansk region has the worst indicators of land use, especially the state of land resources. Physical disturbance of soil cover due to erosion, disturbance of physical and chemical processes in soils, reduction of land productivity leads to the loss of part of the land value of the object of labor. Soils mostly suffer from excessive plowing, ie due to suboptimal land structure. Over the last century, land degradation due to the intensification of negative both purely natural and anthropogenically conditioned and enhanced processes has become catastrophic. Analysis of recent publications on the research topic. Land resources both in Ukraine and in the world have been the subject of research for a long time, so many scientists of various profiles study them in many ways. In particular, the issues of land use and protection are studied by L. Ya. Novakovsky (2015), A. Ya. Sokhnych (2018), M. G. Stupen (2019), A. M. Tretyak (2018). The issue of ecologically safe land use is the subject of research by V. O. Belolipsky (2015), D. S. Dobryak (2006), O. M. Drugov (2012). Problems of concentration of agricultural land use in the conditions of completion of land reform are raised by O. P. Kanash (2010), O. V. Lazareva (2015). A. M. Joss (2002), O. O. Kiselyova (2019), G. G. Kominova (2003), P. A. Milekhin (2002) and others dealt with the problems of land use optimization in Luhansk region at different times.

Abstract:
The Jose Cabrera Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) was the first commercial power reactor (Westinghouse 1 loop PWR 510 MWth, 160 MWe) commissioned in Spain and provided the base for future development and training. The reactor construction started in 1963 and it was officially on-line by 1969. The NPP operated from 1969 until 2006 when it became the first reactor to be shut down after completing its operational period. The containment is reinforced concrete with a stainless steel head. In 2010 responsibility for D&D was transferred to Enresa to achieve IAEA level 3 (a green field site available for unrestricted re-uses) by 2017. Of the total of more than 104,000 tons of materials that will be generated during dismantling, it is estimated that only ∼ 4,000 tons will be radioactive waste, some of which, 40 t are considered as intermediate level long-lived wastes and the rest (3,960 t) will be categorized as VLLW & ILLW. The Project is divided into five phases: Phase 0 - Removal of fuel and preliminary work. Phase 1 - Preparatory Activities for D&D. complete. Phase 2 - Dismantling of Major Components. Phase 3 - Removal of Auxiliary Installations, Decontamination and Demolition. Phase 4 - Environmental Restoration. Phase 2, is currently ongoing (50% completed). To manage the diverse aspects of decommissioning operations, Enresa uses an internally developed computerized project management tool. The tool, based on knowledge gathered from other Enresa projects, can process operations management, maintenance operations, materials, waste, storage areas, procedures, work permits, operator dose management and records. Enresa considers that communication is important for both internal and external stakeholder relations and can be used to inform, to neutralize negative opinions & attitudes, to remove false expectations and for training. Enresa has created a new multi-purpose area (exhibition/visitor centre) and encourages visits from the public, local schools, local and national politicians and technical groups. Greenfield is the final end state objective. The total cost of this project, including a 20% contingency as estimated in 2003 is 135 M€. This figure does not include the management of the plant spent fuel, which has constituted an independent project that has been completed in 2009 (35 M€). Enresa, with 15 staff on site are managing a team of ∼ 250 workers, 40 of whom belong to the previous operator. The spent fuel is On-Site prior to the final destination in the future Spain Centralized Spent Fuel Installation.
