Abstract:
This paper makes attempts to argue that language inevitably affects emotions, and philosophical therapy is possible through deconstruction of language; here the horizon of language is extended not only to its traditional usage, but also as thoughts. Emotions are perceived through our conditioned thoughts and hence by an analysis of the latter, the former will become clearer. The paper is a literature review of a few books by Jiddu Krishnamurti, a contemporary Indian Philosopher; and a book on Buddhist logic. Since the paper is a literature review, it does not have any practical claim to support the points and hence is a speculative approach towards therapy. The paper also does not extend its claims to psychological views on language, rather restricts itself to purely philosophical approach.

Abstract:
Krishnamurti believes that Man can come to truth neither through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, nor through any philosophic knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. Man has built in himself images as a fence of security - religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, beliefs. The burden of these images dominates man's thinking, his relationships and his daily life. These images are the causes of our problems for they divide man from man. His perception of life is shaped by the concepts already established in his mind. The content of his consciousness is his entire existence. This content is common to all humanity. When man becomes aware of the movement of his own thoughts he will see the division between the thinker and the thought, the observer and the observed, the experiencer and the experience.

Abstract:
Ideology is one of the complex concepts that many thinkers from different sciences have talked about it and studied it; there is no comprehensive definition of what constitutes consensus among thinkers, or at least is acceptable to most of them; thinkers can be divided into three main spectrums regarding the definitions and characteristics that they have proposed for ideology. One group has a positive attitude towards ideology and has introduced it as a necessity for human life; another group has defined the ideology negatively, they not only did not evaluate it positively, but also introduced it as the cause of separation and division, etc., and sought to deny it; the other group introduces ideology as a neutral concept that can be characterized by both the positive features proposed by some thinkers and the negative features suggested by some other thinkers. Jiddu Krishnamurti is one of the thinkers who has a negative view towards ideology and rejects it due to some of the claimed characteristics such as segregation, separation, seduction and so on. This attitude is rejected by religious and non-religious thinkers.

Full text
Abstract:
Polar coding and sparse code multiple access (SCMA) are key technologies for 5G mobile communication, the joint design of them has a great significance to improve the overall performance of the transmitter-receiver symmetric wireless communication system. In this paper, we firstly propose a pruning iterative joint detection and decoding algorithm (PI-JDD) based on the confidence stability of resource nodes. Branches to be updated are dynamically pruned to avoid redundant iterative, which is able to reduce 24~50% complexity while achieving the approximate error performance of traditional serial joint iterative detection and decoding algorithm S-JIDD. Then, to further reduce the bit error rate (BER) of the receiver, a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) termination mechanism is added at the end of each joint iteration to avoid the convergence error caused by decoding deviation. Simulation results show that the addition of an early stopping criterion can achieve a remarkable performance gain compared with the S-JIDD algorithm. More importantly, the combined algorithm of the two proposed schemes can reduce the computational complexity while achieving better error performance.

Though there is a higher and wider significance to life, of what value is our education if we never discover it? We may be highly educated, but if we are without deep integration of thought and feeling, our lives are incomplete, contradictory and torn with many fears; and as long as education does not cultivate an integrated outlook on life, it has very little significance.1 Jiddh Krishnamurti, 1953All education springs from some image of the future. Abstract:
This paper presents a computationally efficient soft detection scheme for massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The proposed scheme adopts joint iterative detection and decoding (JIDD) methods for their capacity limiting performances. In addition, the minimum mean square error parallel interference cancellation (MMSE-PIC)-based detection scheme is used for soft information exchange. We propose a number of techniques to reduce the computational complexity, while keeping almost the same performance as the conventional ones. First, a technique is proposed to approximate the Gram matrix to a constant valued diagonal matrix. This proposal can lead to elimination of complex matrix inversion process and multiple layer dependent estimations, resulting in huge complexity reduction. Second, compact equations to estimate soft-symbol values for M-ary (quadrature amplitude modulation) QAM are derived. From the investigation example of 2 8 -QAM in this paper, this proposal showed more than two orders of less computations compared to the conventional scheme. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve approximating performance to the conventional method with a largely reduced computational complexity.

Abstract:
Character building is important for every Muslim as the Prophet Muhammad SAW was sent to perfect the character (akhlāq). An attempt to instilling good characters, Islamic education should focus on two main issues, i.e. the content of knowledge and the methodology for imparting the knowledge. Muslim scholars have proposed the concept of knowledge in Islamic education. One of them is Imam al-Zarnūjī. He developed the basic principles of education in Islam and his teaching methodology which has been widely used in educational institutions and learning in the Muslim world. This article examines the ethical aspects of learning from al-Zarnūjī’s monumental work, Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim Ṭarīq al-Ta‘allum, including intention (niyah), seriousness (jidd), respect (ta‘ẓim), and trust in Allah (tawakkul). Using the method of content analysis, this study argues that according to al-Zarnūjī, knowledge is a means for character building. The ethical aspect of learning as proposed by al-Zarnūjī is significant for the advancement and perfection of both individual and the society in this world and the Hereafter. Thus, teaching and learning in Islam put emphasis on knowledge understanding, ethical values and character building to produce good human beings (al-insān al- ṣālih).

Abstract:
Abstract In 1953, a British architect named Derek H. Matthews introduced the idea of "The Red Sea Style" in print, in a modest article with that title. Although brief and focused on a single site, this article proposed that the architecture around the rim of the Red Sea could be conceived of as a coherent and unified building category. Since then, those who have written about Red Sea port cities have generally accepted Matthews’s suggestion of a shared architectural culture. Indeed, the houses of the region’s major ports, such as Suakin in modern-day Sudan, Massawa in Eritrea, Jidda and Yanbu˓ al-Baḥr in Saudi Arabia, and Mocha, al-Ḥudayda, and al-Luḥayya in Yemen, share a number of visual similarities that support this crossregional designation. Although many are in ruins, these coastal buildings appear to have more in common with each other than with their inland counterparts in their locality. The present article delves into the perceived coherence of Red Sea architecture, but it moves beyond the obvious common dimensions of material and decoration to turn attention to the transhistorical aspects of these port cities, along with their specificities and implicit differences. As a nonmonumental building tradition that emerged at the southern edge of the Ottoman world in the sixteenth century and continued into the twentieth, the Red Sea style represents a tangible case of sustained cross-cultural contact across a linked maritime region and thus moves beyond the conventional modern limits of continent and nation.

Abstract:
AbstractThe provisioning of potable water was a microcosm of the Ottoman state's incomplete projects of technopolitical modernization on the Arab frontier. Water questions sat at the intersection between international pressures surrounding cholera, drought, Wahhabi and Bedouin disorder, and the inability of the state to impose its will on the semi-autonomous Amirate of Mecca. To be sure, Ottoman public health reforms and increased attention to water infrastructure were partly a product of the intense international attention generated by the hajj's role in the globalization of cholera. However, like other projects with more overt military and strategic implications, most notably the Hijaz telegraph and railway, the Ottoman state also saw an opportunity to harness the increasing medicalization of the hajj to serve a broader set of efforts to consolidate the empire's most vulnerable frontier provinces. Through the lens of the technopolitical frontier this essay seeks to tell a larger story about the evolution of state building and development in Arabia, one that would otherwise be obscured without reference to both its late Ottoman and Saudi histories. By viewing the evolution of hydraulic management in the Hijaz as a continuous process unfolding across the long nineteenth century, we gain a new perspective on the role that Ottoman technopolitics played in shaping the Saudi state that eventually succeeded it. We find that the quest for water security in the Hijaz, particularly in Jidda, played a critical role in setting the stage for the discovery of the Saudi Arabia's massive petroleum reserves.

Abstract:
In the chronicle “al-Qawl al-Mustaẓraf fī Safar Mawlānā al-Malik al-Ashraf”, Abū al-Baqāʾ Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá Ibn al-Jīʿān (1443–1497) mentioned seven Mamluk amirs, who escorted the Sultan al-Ashraf Qaitbay in his tour to Syria in 1477–1478. The purpose of the sultan’s journey was to inspect the fortifications in the northern regions of al-Shām. Only few emirs and a small group of Mamluks (about twenty-five warriors) travelled with the Sultan. The article investigates the background of these emirs on the basis of several Arabic sources of the Mamluk period. Four of these seven emirs were married to women from the Sultan’s household. The paper highlights the importance of the in-law relations, which formed a powerful facilitator of an emir’s career advancement. Most of al-Ashraf Qaitbay’s escort were those emirs whose service was somehow connected with the financial sector and who were engaged in replenishing the Sultan’s treasury. They were the second davadar Tanibak Qara, muhtasib Yashbak al-Jamali, wali Yashbak min Haydar, and the governor of Jidda Shahin al-Jamali. The trend associated with the promotion of the emirs-administrators who headed financial departments into the political elite was formed during the reign of Qaitbay and was a new phenomenon in the political life of the Sultanate. The “report” on the trip of the Sultan, compiled by Abū al-Baqāʾ Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá Ibn al-Jīʿān, showed how important those emirs were for the Sultan who had experience in the financial sphere and could assess not only the condition of the fortifications, but how much money would be needed for their effective protection, and most importantly – to ensure the receipt of these funds to the treasury.

Abstract:
SUMMARY Four instances of change in 19th-century Yiddish-in-print are considered: (1) the change from a separate type-face to the standard Hebrew type also used for bibles and prayer-books; (2) the abandonment of archaic written forms, following conventions that had been standardized in Central Europe in earlier centuries, in favor of forms more closely approximating Eastern European spoken Yiddish; (3) the sharp curtailment of new High Germanisms and other foreignisms, and (4) the development of a standard or literary spoken variety influenced by standard written Yiddish. In all four instances internal rather than external foci of change are posited. Via fostering and controlling the 'print function', elites of small language communities can also change their languages in accord with how they would like to and when they would like to, rather than merely being exposed either 'winds of change' or to influences from surrounding languages and cultures.

Abstract:
Jiddu .Kishnamurti's influence on the educational ethos of alternative Indian education is immense. Although he was not an educator in the narrow sense of the term, he worked incessantly in the field of education. He is appropriately described as a 'revolutionary teacher who worked tirelessly to awaken people'. He felt that if people could be awakened to their conditioning of nationality, religion and desires, which inevitably leads to conflicts, they might bring a total change in their lives. His concern for 'good society' found expression in the establishment of schools in India and abroad. Krishnamurti's approach to education was highly original and unconventional for them education should aim at the inner transformation and liberation of the human being. The function of education is to help a person from childhood not to imitate anybody, but to be true to his/her own self all the time. Freedom is the basic motto of Education. Krishnamurti emphasised the relationship between Education and society and said that it's only after evolving a sensible policy of "right' education that we can look forward to the formation of better society. In today's context his views on education are of paramount significance. J. Krishnamurti has been an eminent philosopher and educationist of India. The impact of his philosophy on the educational ethos of alternative Indian education has been of an unquantifiable quality, although this is often not visible in the formal components of secondary school education. Krishnamurti was not an educator in the narrow or formal sense of the term, as he had no formal qualifications to either propagate or promote educational goals or establish educational institutions. Krishnamurti has been described as a revolutionary teacher who worked tirelessly to awaken people to awaken their intelligence, to awaken their sense of responsibility, to awaken aflame of discontent and this commitment to awaken the consciousness of people was undoubtedly based on a 'strong moral passion'

Prakash, Nitya. "A Critical Consciousness of Choice: An Existential Import." International Journal of Finance, Entrepreneurship & Sustainability, August 8, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.56763/ijfes.v1i.38.

Abstract:
The paper attempts to conceptually explore the notion of choice from an existential perspective. Employing the critical theoretical frame of French thinker Jean Paul Sartre, the paper situates choice by exploring its linkages with self, freedom and nothingness. Tracing the phenomenological shift, the paper conceptually highlights the role of an ‘experiencing individual’ at the center of philosophy, where humans are looked upon as agents and creators of both action and its meanings. The premise, ‘Existence precedes Essence’ is deliberated upon with a radical insight that one 's identity is constituted neither by nature nor by culture, since to ‘exist’ is precisely to constitute such an identity. The concept of ‘Being’ and its intricacies with freedom and nothingness are further explored. The psychological implications of ‘responsibility’, experienced with an encounter with the‘Others’ has been radically problematized. The final part of the paper throws light on the nature of existential anxiety and conflict using the ideas of a thinkers such as Jurgen Harbermas and Jiddu Krishnamurthy. Existential anxiety is discussed as an immanent feature of the human condition. The negation of the crisis is not a solution but only through an existential confrontation with the ideological distortion of the material reality, one can find are solution to this existential dilemma of choice.
