Abstract:

In the late nineteenth and early twentieth-century Bengal emerged a new batch of educated widows who were distinguishable from the traditional Bengali Hindu widows because of their remarkable self-consciousness about their peripherality within the social order. The intention of my article is that of disputing the prevalent assumption of the homogeneity of the widowed experience in Bengal society by drawing attention to the heterogeneous individualities resulting from stratifications within these emergent widow populations, owing to different lifestyles, varying degree of access to education, diverse social standings, and various forms of suppression. Rassundari Devi’s Amar Jibon (1876) and Saradasundari Devi’s Atmakatha (1913) are accounts of the experience of widows who were marginalized by society, handed the bare minimum necessities for their existence, and deprived of the pleasures of the traditional experiences of motherhood. I propose the term ‘New Widows’ to highlight how the effects of education modified their individuality in unconventional directions, as reflected in the fictional narratives by Rabindranath Tagore and others. Close attention to the texts shows that the disparity between the aspirations of the New Widow, and her limited reach and frustration results in an acute self-awareness.

Abstract:

The study was conducted to evaluate the impact of training facilitated by Nuton Jibon Livelihood Improvement Project (NJLIP) under Social Development Foundation (SDF) for transfer livestock technologies and livelihood improvement for rural poor farmers in Bangladesh. A total of 650 farming households were selected by baseline survey during January 2018 to June 2018.The training and non-training beneficiaries were primary level educated and their family size (4.52) was little lower than the national average (4.9). Average age was 36.73 and 35.12 years for training and non-training farmers, respectively. The rate and amount of loan was found higher with respondent received training than without training. Adoption rate of technologies was higher than the level of idea on the concept of housing, feeding, breeding and marketing. The training beneficiaries improved knowledge and skill on feeding, management and health care of livestock and poultry. Training and demonstration are considered two strong tools for adoption and dissemination of livestock technology. Herd and flock size was increased by training beneficiaries than non-training beneficiaries. Beneficiaries having training on various IGAs have expanded their land and asset possession to a greater extent compared to non-training beneficiaries. Housing and sanitation condition of training beneficiaries were higher than non-training beneficiaries. Increased annual income of training and non-training households was 19.43% and 13.30% where income from different IGAs of livestock was 32.19% and 14.53%, respectively. Livestock were not extremely price sensitive but more sensitive on non-price factors logistic support like institutional support, quality of input and availability of input. Thus, training was treated as vital tools for transfer livestock technologies to influence the poor farmer’s livelihood improvement of training household than non-training household. SAARC J. Abstract:

This study analyzes the meaning of using the word Jibun in spoken language taken from the story of a smartphone game entitled "Twisted Wonderland". This study uses conversational data in the game as research data. This study aims to recognize the various meanings and uses of the word Jibun in the Japanese spoken language. This qualitative research uses a descriptive method, which describes the data obtained and concludes the results through categories formed through the results of data description and analysis. Electronic games are data sources, mainly from the Heisei and Reiwa eras up to the time of this research. The result found that the use of the word Jibun as Saikikei, the use of the word Jibun as a personal pronoun, and the word Jibun as a word that refers to a general person. However, compared to the previously studied theory, some differences in usage were found. The use of Jibun as Saikikei in spoken language has differences in the order of subject positions because, in this study, the data used is part of a conversation and uses spoken language, so the word order does not match the standard language.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of internal and external factors on bank lending. Internal factors in this study are CAR, DPK, LDR, and NPL. Meanwhile, the external factors used are GDP and JIBOR. The sample used is PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia. The data used in this study was obtained from the quarterly financial statements of bank BRI in the 2017-2021 period and analyzed using the least square method. This study found that the DPK and LDR variables partially had a positive and significant effect on lending, the CAR, NPL, and JIBOR variables did not have a significant effect on lending, and the GDP variables had a negative effect on lending. In contrast, simultaneously the CAR, DPK, LDR, NPL, GDP, and JIBOR variables significantly affected the distribution of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to define the factors that influence the Mixed Mutual Funds including the Jakarta Interbank Offered Rate and the Composite Stock Price Index. The research method used is purposive sampling by taking data on price movements of mutual funds published by PT Ashmore Asset Management Indonesia Tbk where Mutual funds originating from the period January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 and listed on the IDX, consist of 245 daily data. The test method used is descriptive statistical method using sample data from JCI and JIBOR where the results obtained from the calculation of this analysis are JCI and JIBOR have a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Net Asset Value of Mutual Funds, with a coefficient of determination close to 0.6526 or 65, 26%, which means that NAV is influenced by the movement of JCI and JIBOR. While the remaining 34.74% is explained by variables not included in this study.

Abstract:

Rashsundari Devi's autobiography, the first of its kind by any Bengali woman, Amar Jiban is the testimony of a 19th century Bengali woman's ordeals. It not only highlights the theme of women's education through her yearning for knowledge of letters; it also calls for equal spiritual status for women as she personally yearns for God. She chooses to rewrite her life in this autobiography, broadly in alignment with God's life. She attributes to God every good or bad thing happening around, even her life with transgressions. The chapter showcases how the re-presented self of Rashsundari follows the broad religious codes, yet not in the customary way and her personalized fantastic experiences, like precognitive dreams, help her mould the shape of her God. The author invokes the guru-shishya dynamics and looks through the glass of a few religious texts of Hinduism, especially the Bhagavad Gita, to analyse whether she transgresses from the whole religious system or actually encodes her discontent uniquely on the bedrock of religious following, adherence, and devotion.

Abstract:

In recent years, User experience of VR products (hereinafter referred to as UEO-VRP ) has received increasing attention. Therefore, it is necessary to further summarise and analyse the current situation of UEO-VRP and existing research results, in order to better apply VR technology to modern science display design and enhance user experience.However, this literature is very voluminous and has strong interdisciplinary properties, involving knowledge from multiple disciplines. It is difficult to objectively analyse the changes in research hotspots and development dynamics in this field by relying solely on traditional literature review methods, and even more difficult to accurately grasp the classical theoretical foundations of VR user experience research. Bibliometrics helps to identify potential patterns and information in the large amount of literature data. Therefore, the UEO-VRP-related literature included in the WOS database is used as the data source in the study, and the retrieved data is visualised and analysed for knowledge structure through scientific bibliometrics.Study design[Data source]: In this study, the Web of Science core database was searched with a search strategy of TS= ((virtual reality OR VR) AND (user experience OR UE OR UX)) and the three major citation indexes, SSCI, SCI-Expanded and A&HCI, commonly used in the WOS database were selected as the search sources. The search results were exported as txt files in the format of "full records and cited references", and articles that deviated from the research topic, missing field information, duplicate data and other interfering articles were excluded. A total of 606 articles were obtained for further quantitative analysis.[Research Methodology]: Bibliometrics refers to the quantitative analysis of various types of literature to discover underlying patterns and information in large amounts of literature data, and was first proposed by Pritchard in 1969. In order to obtain more rigorous and comprehensive data indicators, the study used a combination of CiteSpace (V1.6.18) and VOSviewer (V6.1.R3) software to conduct keyword co-occurrence analysis and literature co-citation analysis on the cited literature, and to map the corresponding scientific knowledge.[Research findings]: UEO-VRP has a general upward trend in the output of time-series papers, but the growth trend is slow. Not many countries/regions, scholars and institutions are prolific, with developed Western countries being more influential in international research; kim, jinmo, kim, mingyu, lee, jiwon, riva, giuseppe and montagud, mario are the core authors in the international community; institutions of higher learning are the main institutions of research, with korea univ, univ valencia, chung ang univ, zhejiang univ and seoul natl univ are the core institutions. The keyword clustering reveals that the knowledge base of UEO-VRP in international research can be divided into three categories: design environment and evaluation, concept and usability, and emerging technologies. An analysis of the hotspot evolution of UEO-VRP reveals that most scholars currently focus on environments, augmented reality and virtual-reality, with social vr, streaming media and metaverse being the next research priorities.
