Abstract:
Abstract. Assessing jobs-housing balance (JHB) is crucial for the optimization of urban spatial pattern and transportation planning. However, due to the limitations of traditional data and the inability to integrate evaluation indicators, the evaluation results may be bias, conflicting with common sense. Considering interaction of multiple factors, a Job-housing balance measurement model (JHBM-SEM) was proposed to accurately evaluate the degree of JHB in a certain area. To address the problem of multi-indicator fusion, the structural equation model is used to incorporate the advantages, limitations and complementary relationships of each evaluation indicator into the evaluation process. A function relationship is defined between factor loadings, path coefficients, and variable scores to construct the measurement model and obtain comprehensive evaluation results. In addition, by integrating multi-source spatiotemporal big data mainly based on mobile signaling data, the paper can effectively mine the current status of job-housing balance in cities, and solve problems such as low precision and granularity of traditional data. The model was validated using Shanghai as an example, and the results show that compared with classical methods, the model's results are more consistent with the real situation of regional jobhousing patterns. It can identify the pseudo-balance phenomenon in underdeveloped areas of the suburbs and make reasonable evaluations, and the intermediate process can explain the direction of the imbalance factors in the region.

Abstract:
This present study aimed to investigate the effects of various cooking times (1 h, 1.5 h, 2 h, 2.5 h, named as JHBP-1, JHBP-1.5, JHBP-2, JHBP-2.5) on the antioxidant activity and peptide profile of Jinhua ham broth peptides (JHBP). The peptides extracted from uncooked ham were used as an uncooked group with the name of JHBP-0. The results revealed that the antioxidant efficacy in the four cooked groups changed dramatically compared to JHBP-0. After cooking, the DPPH radical scavenging activity, hydroxyl radical scavenging activity and superoxide anion radical scavenging activity decreased, except for the Fe2+ chelation and ABTS+ scavenging capacity which increased significantly. However, the cooked groups still showed a strong antioxidant capacity. In particular, the superoxide anion radical scavenging ability and the Fe2+ chelation action were significantly stronger compared to glutathione (GSH) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) (p < 0.05). JHBP-1.5 also displayed stronger antioxidant capacity than the other three cooked groups, and its secondary structure and mass distribution changed significantly after cooking, specifically with an increased proportion of helix and <1 kDa peptides. Moreover, the constitution of free amino acids (FAAs) and the types of peptides released in the broth increased significantly with a longer cooking time. In total, 1306 (JHBP-0), 1352 (JHBP-1), 1431 (JHBP-1.5), 1500 (JHBP-2), and 1556 (JHBP-2.5) peptide sequences were detected using LC-MC/MC. The proportion of <1 kDa peptides also gradually increased as the cooking time extended, which is consistent with the molecular weight distribution measurements.

Abstract:
Relatively high proportions of proinflammatory M1-like macrophages in tissues may lead to vascular impairment and trigger numerous diseases including atherosclerosis-related cardiovascular disease (CVD). Jisil Haebaek Gyeji-tang (JHGT), a polyherbal decoction, is traditionally used to treat various human ailments including chest pain, angina, and myocardial infarction. In the present study, we investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of JHGT on lipopolysaccharide- (LPS-) stimulated M1 macrophage polarization generated via the mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) pathway in RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages. The reducing power of JHGT was also investigated using DAF-FA DA in a zebrafish model. JHGT significantly reduced inflammatory mediator levels, including iNOS, COX2, TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β, as compared with LPS-stimulated controls in vitro and ex vivo. Furthermore, JHGT suppressed the ERK1/2, JNK, and p38 MAPK pathways and reduced p-IκBα levels and the nuclear translocation of NF-κB in RAW 264.7 cells. In addition, treatment with JHGT significantly reduced the NO levels in LPS-treated zebrafish larva ex vivo. Our findings show the potent anti-inflammatory properties of JHGT are due to its suppression of MAPK signaling, NF-κB translocation, and M1 macrophage polarization.

Abstract:
Juvenile hormones prevent molting and metamorphosis in the juvenile stages of insects. There are multiple genes encoding a conserved juvenile hormone binding protein (JHBP) domain in a single insect species. Although some JHBPs have been reported to serve as carriers to release hormones to target tissues, the molecular functions of the other members of the diverse JHBP family of proteins remain unclear. We characterized 16 JHBP genes with conserved JHBP domains in Drosophila melanogaster. Among them, seven JHBP genes were induced by feeding the flies with methyl lucidone, a plant diterpene secondary metabolite (PDSM). Induction was also observed upon feeding the juvenile hormone (JH) analog methoprene. Considering that methyl lucidone and methoprene perform opposite functions in JH-mediated regulation, specifically the heterodimeric binding between a JH receptor (JHR) and steroid receptor coactivator (SRC), the induction of these seven JHBP genes is independent of JH-mediated regulation by the JHR/SRC heterodimer. Tissue-specific gene expression profiling through the FlyAtlas 2 database indicated that some JHBP genes are mainly enriched in insect guts and rectal pads, indicating their possible role during food uptake. Hence, we propose that JHBPs are induced by PDSMs and respond to toxic plant molecules ingested during feeding.

Abstract:
A novel Gram-positive, aerobic bacterium, strain JH1T, was isolated from deep-sea sediment of the East Sea, South Korea, and identified by methods of polyphasic taxonomy. The strain was oxidase-positive, motile and coccus-shaped. The genomic DNA G+C content of strain JH1T was 47 mol%. The major fatty acid of strain JH1T was anteiso-C15 : 0 and the predominant menaquinones were MK-7 and MK-8. Similarity of the 16S rRNA gene sequence (1452 nt) of strain JH1T to those of species of the genera Planococcus and Planomicrobium was 96.0–98.2 %. The signature nucleotides in the 16S rRNA gene sequence were compared with those of previously studied type strains of species in the genera Planococcus and Planomicrobium, and suggested that strain JH1T belongs to the genus Planococcus. In addition, phylogenetic analysis showed that strain JH1T was located within the cluster comprising Planococcus antarcticus and Planococcus kocurii. DNA–DNA hybridization showed that it had 9.3 % genomic relatedness with Planococcus antarcticus DSM 14505T and 22.9 % with Planococcus kocurii DSM 20747T. On the basis of the phenotypic, phylogenetic and genomic data, a novel species of the genus Planococcus, Planococcus donghaensis sp. nov., is proposed, with type strain JH1T (=KCTC 13050T=LMG 23779T).

Abstract:
This writing discusses the implementation of the Old Age Insurance (JHT) benefit policy in Gorontalo Province. JHT membership in Gorontalo Province is still low. JHT is a social security needed by workers and can be enjoyed when entering retirement age. This writing uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through the study of literature. The result of this paper is that the implementation of JHT benefits policy in Gorontalo is influenced by the content and context of the policy itself. One context is the existence of community needs which are seen as not having placed JHT as an important thing in social security for workers. This emphasizes the need for BPJS Employment to improve socialization, education and expand partnerships for better JHT sustainability.

Abstract:
The three Articles that comprise this Dissertation explore how free expression and judicial federalism regulate hurtful speech and promised silence. The Articles tackle torts and free speech, contracts and free speech, and a comparative variation on those two themes. Judicial federalism threads all three Articles. The first Article, Silencing State Courts, argues that the current mode of enforcing the First Amendment against state common law speech torts fails to promote cooperative judicial federalism. Second, Silence for Sale argues that state courts should free themselves from constitutional straitjackets and recognize a robust public policy of free expression that voids some nondisclosure agreements. Finally, Comparative Judicial Federalism argues that the strength of a federal free speech guarantee varies with a country's particular species of judicial federalism. By comparing free speech and judicial federalism in the United States and Australia, it argues that Australia’s judicial federalism augments its implied freedom of political communication.

Since the financial crisis broke out in 2008, it has led to a period of global economic recession. Central banks of countries around the world have slashed the interest rate to stimulate the economy. While the economy recovered gradually, the presidential elections were hold in various countries. Political and economic turmoil have affected the fluctuation of foreign exchange rate. Some rate of exchange has reached record highs or lows these years. It has brought great impact on the value of companies. The management of foreign exchange risk seems to be more important for multinational companies. In this paper we adopted our sample period from 2010 to 2016 to investigate Giant Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (stock symbol 9921) and Johnson Health Tech. Co., Ltd. (stock symbol 1736)’s main currency portfolio which contains Japanese yen, RMB, Euro, US dollar and British pound. We observe the correlation between the exchange rates and use the back-testing to detect difference between the actual Value-at-Risk and the expected ones under the 95% and 99% confidence intervals. Then we propose the exposure netting method on the value of the foreign currency asset held by the two companies. Finally, we use the variance-covariance method and ARMA-GARCH method to evaluate the change of VaR of the portfolio before and after netting each year, to see if the foreign exchange exposure reduced accordingly.

Abstract:
The use of outcome measures by occupational therapists to establish the effectiveness of treatment is important. The Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test (JHFT) was identified as a standardised assessment suitable for the evaluation of outcomes related to the treatment of hand function. This study established norms for this test on 120 normal, ethnically diverse South Africans between the ages of 20 and 59 years. Statistically significant differences were found between the original norms published by Jebsen et al (1) and the South African sample for males and females, dominant and non-dominant hands and ethnic groupings. It is postulated that gender and cultural factors may influence the speed with which different groups complete functional tasks and these must be factored in when using the JHFT as an outcome measure in South Africa. The test appears to have limited application as a norm referenced test in South Africa, but may be valuable in determining progress in therapy or research.

The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the player's perceptual sports motivation climate in I junior high basketball league (JHBL) on team cohesion. Participants were a total of 184 players (male: 93; women's 91) in 8 schools in both male and female national basketball teams, with an average age of 14.35 ± 0.68 years. With the consent of the participants, the collection of data including the Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire (PMCSQ) and the Group Environment Questionnaire was completed. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, pearson product moment coefficient of correlation , and multivariate hierarchical regression statistical methods were used to analyze the data. The results of the study found that exercise-motivated climate can effectively explain work cohesion); similar contributions to social cohesion. According to the results of the research, it is shown that the climate of sports motivation is one of the important factors influencing team cohesion. Therefore, when improving team effectiveness, coaches not only need to demonstrate a reasonable leadership model, but also should focus on the motivation climate for shaping work orientation and reduce the motivational climate for self-orientation.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Physical performance and fitness in basketball are mostly influenced by lower-limb explosive power. The aim of this study was to examine the differences in the explosive power of the lower extremities measured by countermovement jump (CMJ) in basketball players of the regional level of competition in relation to the age category. Forty-one male participants regional level were divided in three age categories U18 (N = 14; height: 1.85 ± 0.04 m; body mass: 80.18 ± 10.71 kg; age: 17.2 ± 0.6 years), U16 (N = 13; height: 1.79 ± 0.06 m; body mass: 67.8 ± 7.4 kg; age: 15.4 ± 0.6 years), U14 (N = 14; height: 1.72 ± 0.12 m; body mass: 56.35 ± 14.11 kg; age: 13.2 ± 0.5 years) and participated in cross-sectional study. Each subject performed three maximal CMJs on a Quattro Jump force platform to determine differences in vertical jump parameters between groups. The performances of jump height from flight time (JHFT), relative maximal force (RMF), relative maximal power (RMP), relative energy (RE), jump time (JT), countermovement time (CMT), push-off time (POT). ANOVA analysis showed statistically significant differences between groups in JHFT, RMF, and POT (p less than 0.05). The post hoc test indicates that the youngest U14 age group was accountable for these differences. However, no significant differences were observed between tested age categories in RMP, JT, RE, and CMT. These results reveal differences in some of the force parameters, suggesting that these differences are attributed to the youngest group of basketball players.

Abstract:
Abstract The characteristics of the turbulent boundary layer near a separation point are studied here. The emphasis is on providing analytical expressions for the velocity and temperature near wall solutions which are also valid in the region of reverse flow. These expressions can then be used as boundary conditions in numerical schemes that use two-equation differential models. The paper proposes a new expression for the description of the near wall characteristic length which is shown to hold also in the reverse flow region. The specified velocity profiles are based on a previous formulation of the problem by Cruz and Silva Freire (IJHMT, 41, 2097 2111, 1998) but, as written here, they are presented for the first time. The temperature profiles near the wall are also described by a newly proposed expression that reduces to the logarithmic profile in the attached region, and assumes a minus half power law profile at the separation point. In the separated region, the logarithmic profile is recovered. All results are validated through the data of Vogel and Eaton (Trans. ASME JHT, 107, 922 929, 1985).

Abstract:
Original Objectives and revisions: (1) "To determine the biosynthetic pathway of JHB3 in the adult C. capitata CA in order to establish parameters for the future choice and synthesis of suitable inhibitors". Modified: to determine the pattern of FR-7 biosynthesis during normal reproductive maturation, and identify enzymes potentially involved in its synthesis. (2) "To correlate allatal epoxidase activity to the biosynthesis of JHB3 at different stages of reproductive maturation/vitellogenesis and evaluate the hypothesis that a specific JH-epoxidase may be rate limiting". Modified: to study the effects of epoxidase inhibitors on the pattern of allatal JH biosynthesis in vitro and on female reproduction in vive. (3) "To probe and clone the gene homologous to ap from C. capitata, determine its exon-intron organization, sequence it and demonstrate its spatial and temporal expression in larvae, pupae and adults." The "Medfly" (Ceratitis capitata) is a serious polyphagous fruit pest, widely distributed in subtropical regions. Damage is caused by oviposition and subsequent development of larvae. JH's are dominant gonadotropic factors in insects. In the higher Diptera, to which the Medfly belongs, JHB3 is a major homolog. It comprises 95% of the total JH produced in vitro in D. melanogaster, with JH-III found as a minor component. The biosynthesis of both JH-III and JHB3 is dependent on epoxidation of double bonds in the JH molecule. The specificity of such epoxidases is unknown. The male accessory gland D. melanogaster produces a Sex Peptide, transferred to the female during copulation. SP reduces female receptivity while activating specific JH biosynthesis in vitro and inducing oviposition in vive. It also reduces pheromone production and activates CA of the moth Helicoverpa armigera. In a previous study, mutants of the apterous (ap) gene of D. melanogaster were analyzed. This gene induces previteilogenic arrest which can be rescued by external application of JH. Considerable progress has been made in recombinant DNA technology of the Medfly. When fully operative, it might be possible to effectively transfer D. melanogaster endocrine gene-lesions into the Medfly as a strategy for their genetic control. A marked heterogeneity in the pattern of JH homologs produced by Medfly CA was observed. Contrary to the anticipated biosynthesis of JHB;, significant amounts of an unknown JH-like compound, of unknown structure and provisionally termed FR-7, were produced, in addition to significant amounts of JH-III and JHB3. Inhibitors of monooxygenases, devised for their effects on ecdysteroid biosynthesis, affect Medfly JH biosynthesis but do not reduce egg deposition. FR-7 was isolated from incubation media of Medfly CA and examined by various MS procedures, but its structure is not yet resolved. MS analysis is being done in collaboration with Professor R.R.W. Rickards of the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. A homologue of the ap gene of D. melanogaster exists in the Medfly. LIM domains and the homeo-domain, important for the function of the D. melanogaster ap gene, are conserved here too. Attempts to clone the complete gene were unsuccessful. Due to the complexity of JH homologs, presence of related FR-7 in the biosynthetic products of Medfly CA and lack of reduction in eggs deposited in the presence of monooxygenase inhibitors, inhibition of epoxidases is not a feasible alternative to control Medfly reproduction, and raises questions which cannot be resolved within the current dogma of hormonal control of reproduction in Diptera. The Medfly ap gene has similar domains to the D. melanogaster ap gene. Although mutant ap genes are involved in JH deficiency, ap is a questionable candidate for an endocrine lesion, especially since the D. melanogoster gene functions is a transcription factor.
