Abstract:
The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence was promulgated on 17 August 1945. Nevertheless, this had not yet freed Indonesia from the colonial grip in September 1945 the Dutch came back to Indonesia by leaking allied troops who had then won World War II. This study was conducted using historical methods to obtain a truth from past events regarding the people's struggle during the Second Dutch Military Aggression on Java Island. The result of this study was the Second Dutch Military Aggression carried out in 1948–1949 with the focus of its attacks on Java and Sumatra. Resistance on Java was guerrilla by Indonesian military leaders and people who rejoiced to join the militia. In West Java the struggle was fought by the Siliwangi Division and other military leaders, in Central Java the struggle was fought by the guerrilla forces of General Sudirman and its military members as well as in East Java. This guerilla strategy successfully disrupted Dutch defenses in Indonesia. Until the Treaty of Roem-Royen was signed as a form of truce and military aggression in Indonesia.

Abstract:
The background of this research is that sports development can be carried out from the regions or provinces as the spearhead in advancing national sports achievements. Central Java as one of the Provinces in Indonesia is a region that has considerable sports potential. Improving the performance of Central Java sports can be done by conducting superior sports studies. Petanque is a form of boules game which aims to throw an iron ball as close as possible to a wooden ball called a jack and the foot must be in a small circle. The Provincial Executive Board of the Indonesian Central Java Petanque Sports Federation (Central Java FOPI Pengprov) was officially inaugurated in 2016. Petanque sports is one of the new sports that is quite promising because the total number of numbers competed is quite a lot, namely 11 numbers under the athletics and swimming branches. There needs to be optimal guidance for petanque sports so that in the future it will develop further and can become one of the leading sports that has become a medal contributor in the National level championship for Central Java. The first fundamental effort carried out is by examining the supporting aspects of the achievements of petanque sports. The assessment must be comprehensive of all aspects that affect the performance of Central Java petanque sports, which are related to the components of the sporting achievement. These aspects include: (1) Describing the FOPI Central Java Organizational structure, (2) Identifying the Central Java FOPI recruitment system, (3) Describing the management of facilities and infrastructure of Central Java FOPI athletes, (4) Describing Central Java FOPI fund management, (5) Describe the management of the exercise in Central Java FOPI athletes. The research method used in this study is a qualitative and descriptive approach where the results of the study of the evaluation are expressed in words and this study focuses more on more in-depth, detailed and complete sentences. The data collection technique in this study consisted of three kinds, namely: (1) interview, (2) observation, (3) documentation In accordance with the aims and objectives in this study, to evaluate the implementation of the Central Java FOPI Pengprov program in this study using the CIPP model. The results of the research related to the analysis of FOPI Pengprov management in Central Java, in improving the achievements of athletes and coaches in the implementation are in accordance with the main tasks and functions but there are still shortcomings and weaknesses that must be corrected to achieve maximum goals. Thus it can be concluded Based on the results of the data analysis that has been determined, it was concluded that the Management of the Provincial Executive of the Sports Federation of Petanque Indonesia (Fopi) Central Java in Supporting Sports Achievements in Central Java has been going well.

Abstract:
Pangpang Bay is one of the essential ecosystem areas located in East Java and also it is part of the East Asia Australia Flyway (EAAF). This area is an important habitat as a stopover site for migratory shorebirds. However, heretofore scientific reports are still limited. Therefore, we conducted a shorebird survey in this area on October 1-2, 2022 using concentration count methods at three potential areas. A total of 610 individuals of shorebirds belong to 13 species from two families (Scolopacidae and Charadriidae). Among the observed shorebirds, Whimbrel had the highest number of individuals (n=426), followed by Eurasian Curlew (n=45), Common Sandpiper (n=43), Pacific Golden Plover (n=43), Bar-tailed Godwit (n=14), Common Redshank (n=9), Wood Sandpiper (n=7), Terek Sandpiper (n=5), Ruddy Turnstone (5), Grey Plover (n=3), Common Greenshank (n=3), Javan Plover (n=2), and Greater Sandplover (n=1), respectively. Twelve species are wintering migratory shorebirds and one species (Javan Plover) is a resident species (mostly in Java). Furthermore, shorebirds in Pangpang Bay occupied three habitat types, i.e. mudflat, mangrove forest, and fishpond bordering the mangrove forest. Based on these results, Pangpang Bay is an important habitat for several shorebirds indeed, especially migratory wintering as a stopover site during their migration.

Abstract:
The incorporation of Hinduism and Buddhism in Indonesia has given a unique characteristic to the Indonesian cultural reality. Since the Kalinga–Bali Yatra (from 320 BC to the establishment of Kalinga kingdom in Central Java around 500 AD), that is, the yearly ancient naval expedition of sailors from Orissa (Kalinga in India) to the Swarnadwipa Islands (Malacca, Sumatera, Java, Borneo, and Bali), the culture of Hinduism and Buddhism has been slowly introduced and acknowledged by the people of Indonesia. The earliest interaction between Hinduism/Buddhism and the locals could be tracked since the period of Kalinga kingdom in the central part of Java island. The influence of Hinduism and Buddhism in Indonesian traditional culture has penetrated to the people’s musical tradition in Java and Bali. On top of that, the story of Ramayana and Mahabharata has been adopted into Wayang Kulit tradition in Java. Among other Hindu–Buddhist influences in Indonesia comprise Indian drama– dance, Rasa esthetic theory, Mahayana Buddhist influence in Bedoyo, Slendro pathet (Javanese gamelan musical organization system), and Hinayana Buddhist concept of removal of nine consciousness of human beings.

Abstract:
The Javan gibbon Hylobates moloch is confined to the last remnants of rainforest on the island of Java, Indonesia. As of 2002, the species has been recorded in 29 forest areas, and the wild population is conservatively estimated at 4100-4500 individuals. Over 95% of the gibbons are in populations of >100 individuals, and the four largest areas support populations of >500 individuals each. In 2003, 56 Javan gibbons were maintained at eight Indonesian zoos, 15 at four Indonesian wildlife rescue centres, with five potential breeding pairs. There is no evidence that the species has bred successfully in captivity in Indonesia. Outside the range country, 48 Javan gibbons were maintained at ten institutions in nine countries, with six breeding pairs. The total ex-situ population is some 120 individuals, the majority of which is wild-caught. At present most initiatives relating to the conservation of the Javan gibbon have targeted small isolated forest areas and the ex-situ population, whereas in-situ protection of the largest populations in the wild has been largely ignored. Significant populations are currently found in unprotected forests. The large captive population of Javan gibbons within Indonesia allows, with improved co-operation, to set up an integrated captive- breeding programme. This should, not be seen, however, as a means to improve the conservation status of the wild Javan gibbons, which needs to be achieved through protection of remaining habitat, but could be used for improving the prevailing low levels of conservation awareness in Java.

Abstract:
Under the Indonesian PPSP (Accelerated Sanitation Development for Human Settlements Program) thousands of new DEWATS (Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Systems) may be realized in the coming five years. Taking the massive scale of planned implementation into consideration an evaluation of the technical and financial-economic aspects and users' involvement for three different types of DEWATS was performed. Evaluated systems included (1) Settler (Set)+Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR)+Anaerobic Filter (AF), (2) Digester+Set+ABR+AF and (3) Settler, equalization, activated sludge, clarifier, filtration. All three systems complied with the current regulations. System 3 suggested the best overall performance on selected parameters in the monitored period. A clear reduction in specific investment costs per household was found with an increasing number of households per system. Only daily, regular operational costs were recovered from fees collected by the community, whereas costs for desludging, major repairs and capital and replacement costs were not. Surveys with users showed a different degree of involvement of local men and women in the planning stages of the project for the systems. Recommendations are provided to scale up the introduction of DEWATS in a more sustainable way in the framework of a city wide sanitation strategy.

Abstract:
Detailed information regarding tidal characteristics in Indonesian waters is not yet available evenly, including in the southern waters of Java. Tides are one of the most essential hydro-oceanographic parameters in water dynamics. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the characteristics of the tides in the southern waters of Java, starting from Banten Regency in West Java to Malang Regency in East Java. Tidal data with measurement intervals every one hour were collected from December 23, 2022, to January 20, 2023, from ten tide stations with details: 1 station each in Banten and Central Java, three stations each in West Java and East Java, as well as two stations in Yogyakarta. Data from each station is then processed using the Admiralty method to obtain tidal harmonic constant and Formzahl values. Based on the tidal harmonic constants' amplitude and the Formzahl values (F), the tidal type in the southern waters of Java is a mixed tide prevailing semi-diurnal (F ranged from 0.64 - 1.34). The tidal range in the southern waters of Java ranges from 178 - 332 cm. In more detail, Banten and Pelabuhan Ratu waters are classified as micro tides (the tidal range is 178 and 182 cm, respectively). At the same time, the rest are categorized as meso tides (tide range between 200 - 400 cm). Keywords: Tidal Type, Admiralty, Formzahl, Tidal Range, Indian Ocean

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the economic interaction in Indonesia and the impact of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and electricity on inter-island interactions in Indonesia. Data used Indonesian Inter-Regional Input-Output (IRIO) table 2016. The result is the largest inter-island interaction occurred between Java and Sumatra, Java-Sulawesi and Java-Kalimantan. Java was more dependent on Sumatra than Sumatra's dependence on Java. Java was more dependent on other islands than other islands' dependence on Java. The impact of ICT on the economy was higher than the impact of electricity. The ICT had more impact on the interregional economy than intraregional. Meanwhile, the electricity had more effect on the intraregional economy than interregional. The intervention to increase investment in ICT resulted in the highest increase in output of Bali and Nusa Tenggara. Both when the intervention was carried out on Bali and Nusa Tenggara islands or in other islands. The same was true for electricity investment interventions. Therefore, Bali and Nusa Tenggara islands should be given more priority in ICT and electricity investment. Investment in ICT and electricity will accelerate the economic development of eastern Indonesia so that it can become a reference for equitable development.

Abstract:
Karangsambung, located in Central Java, Indonesia has complex geological conditions of the tectonic evolution of Java Island due to the subduction process of the India-Australia plate with the Eurasian plate in the Cretaceous-Paleocene. The tectonic movements in the subduction zone have resulted in diverse geological structures and rock types and impact the morphological shape of the study area. The level of tectonic activity in the study area can be determined using a tectonic geomorphological approach. A digital elevation model and geographic information systems are used for geomorphic data processing. Geological data observations were also carried out in the form of river terraces. Seven geomorphic index parameters have been calculated to determine the youngest tectonic activity through the relative tectonic activity index (IAT) of the study area: the ratio of the valley floor width to the valley height, the drainage basin asymmetry, the river gradient-length index, the basin shape index, mountain front sinuosity, drainage density, and the hypsometric integral/hypsometric curve. The IAT score is divided into four classes which are class 1 (0%) very highly, class 2 (13%) highly, class 3 (56%) moderately, and class 4 (31%) low. The IAT shows that the research area is categorized as an active tectonic area so that the morphology formed is more influenced by tectonic activity than erosion. Geological data analysis on uplifted and deformed river terrace outcrops shows that the study area is affected by neotectonic activity.

Abstract:
Information about the eruption of Mount Lawu in Central Java Province in 1885 and Mount Merapi in D.I. Yogyakarta in 2010 became a source for estimating the presence of magnetic minerals which underwent a sedimentation process in the Bengawan Solo River from upstream (Wonogiri) - downstream (Bojonegoro). The results we get of the magnetic susceptibility distribution of the Bengawan Solo sediments reveal that the sediment from the upper reaches of the Bengawan Solo River has a low frequency magnetic susceptibility value in upstream of around 1,080.23×10−8 m3/Kg - 2,780.77×10−8 m3/Kg, the middle part is 74.40×10−8 m3/Kg - 1,735.90×10−8 m3/Kg, and downstream 17.57×10−8 m3/Kg - 1,620.53×10−8 m3/Kg. The value of magnetic susceptibility decreased significantly from upstream to downstream. High susceptibility indicates the sample contains metal elements. In determining iron oxide, we use X-Ray Fluorescence assisted by X-Ray Diffractometer testing to determine magnetic minerals. X-Ray Fluorescence confirm metal oxide in the sample. There are Al and Fe confirm the presence of magnetic properties in sedimentation. The Vibrating Sample Magnetometer confirmed that the Bengawan Solo sediment has a magnetic saturation about 0.06 - 9.50 (emu/g), a magnetic remanent around 0.001 - 0.575 (emu/g) and coercivity field of around 10 - 60.15 (Oe). X-Ray Diffractometer pattern confirm the mineral structures, namely Coesite, Magnetite, Cristobalite, Portlandite, Quartz, Anatase, Goethite, Tridymite, Gibsyte, Stishovite, Grasullaria, Labradorite and Wuestite. These results indicate the novelty of sediments from Bengawan Solo, Central Java to East Java. HIGHLIGHTS We found several important points in this research: The Bengawan Solo River is formed from several formations and lifting from faults The Bengawan Solo River is rich in minerals formed from metal oxides The magnetic value decreases with the distance from Mount Lawu The Bengawan Solo River has confirmed ferromagnetic properties from the S-type hysterisis curve With low magnetic remanent values, low saturation magnetism and high magnetic corrosivity GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT

Several large earthquakes have recently occurred along the Sumatra-Java subduction zone, the 2004 great Sumatra-Andaman earthquake, the 2005 great Nias earthquake, the 2006 West Java tsunami earthquake, the 2007 great Bengkulu earthquake, and the 2010Mentawai tsunami earthquakes. Serious tsunami disasters were caused by the great underthrust earthquakes which ruptured the plate interface near the trench such as the 2004 Sumatra-Andaman, 2006West Java, 2010Mentawai earthquakes. At Palabuhanratu, maximum tsunami height distribution and inundation areas were computed from expected fault models located near the Java trench. The results shows that the most populated areas of Palabuhanratu would be severely damaged by the expected tsunami caused by the fault model of Mw 8.5. After discussing tsunami disaster mitigation measures with the local government, the result of tsunami inundation area in this study were used to decide tsunami evacuation areas and evacuation routes. Abstract:
Along the Java trench the Australian–Oceanic plate is moving and pushing onto and subducting beneath the Java continental crust at a relative motion of about 70 mm/yr in NNE direction. This subduction-zone process imposed tectonic stresses on the fore-arc region offshore and on the land of Java, thus causing the formation of earthquake fault zones to accommodate the plate movement. Historically, several large earthquakes happened in Java, including West Java. This research use GPS surveys method to study the inter-seismic deformation of three active faults in West Java region (i.e. Cimandiri, Lembang and Baribis faults), and the co-seismic and post-seismic deformation related to the May 2006 Yogyakarta and the July 2006 South Java earthquakes. Based on GPS surveys results it was found that the area around Cimandiri, Lembang and Baribis fault zones have the horizontal displacements of about 1 to 2 cm/yr or less. Further research is however still needed to extract the real inter-seismic deformation of the faults from those GPS-derived displacements. GPS surveys have also estimated that the May 2006 Yogyakarta earthquake was caused by the sinistral movement of the (Opak) fault with horizontal co-seismic deformation that generally was less than 10 cm. The post-seismic horizontal deformation of the July 2006 South Java tsunami earthquake has also been estimated using GPS surveys data. In the first year after the earthquake (2006 to 2007), the post-seismic deformation is generally less than 5 cm; and it becomes generally less than 3 cm in the second year (2007 to 2008).

Abstract:
The global and national energy consumption continues to increase every year, leading to increased carbon emissions. Households are one of Indonesia's energy consumers, where household members' educational level is considered to influence energy consumption. Due to the limited studies in Indonesia regarding the relationship between education and energy consumption, this study aims to explain the relationship between education and energy consumption among provinces in Indonesia. This study is a quantitative study under the STIRPAT framework, using three estimation methods to examine the impact of education on energy consumption among provinces in Indonesia from 2010 to 2021, namely OLS, Fixed Effect, and Fixed Effect Discroll-Kraay. The research was conducted with three different data analyses: Indonesia as a whole, Java, and non-Java regions. The study found differences in estimation results between Java and non-Java regions, providing evidence that the level of education has different associations with per capita energy consumption in these two areas. It was also found that the estimation results for Indonesia align with those in non-Java regions. The study concludes that education has a significant positive association with energy consumption in Indonesia and specifically in non-Java regions, while the association between education and energy consumption in Java is negative and significant. The policy implications suggest that the government should continue efforts to improve the quality of education and promote more efficient energy consumption education in the Java region and implement complementary policies such as compulsory education programs for non-Java regions to reduce energy consumption in Indonesia.
