Abstract:
Almost all forms of abuse include child neglect, and still the professional and clinical community is only now starting to focus attention to this phenomenon and its short- and long-term effects. This paper begins with defining child neglect, what causes parents to neglect the children which they are supposed to love and protect, and the protective factors that parents and the community must be aware of and utilize in protecting kids.

Abstract:
AbstractThe worker/wrapper transformation is a general-purpose technique for refactoring recursive programs to improve their performance. The two previous approaches to formalising the technique were based upon different recursion operators and different correctness conditions. In this paper we show how these two approaches can be generalised in a uniform manner by combining their correctness conditions, extend the theory with new conditions that are both necessary and sufficient to ensure the correctness of the worker/wrapper technique, and explore the benefits that result. All the proofs have been mechanically verified using the Agda system.

Abstract:
Abstract Pentecostalism being a global phenomenon has become an interesting subject in Global Christianity and academic discourses. Numerous scholars have researched and published articles on it from various perspectives. This article discusses African Pentecostalism by bringing fresh discussion on the existing literature on ‘prosperity gospel’. The article argues that Pentecostal preachers are not prosperity gospel preachers but rather preachers of a faith and hope gospel. The article conceptualises the faith and hope gospel from a Biblical perspective as well as the theological perspective of the adherents and practitioners of Pentecostal theology. Although the article acknowledges the extremist approach of some of the adherents and practitioners in their interpretation of scriptures and sometimes the abuses, the article argues that the dynamic and contextual nature of theology should be considered while the abuses are also objectively condemned. The article discusses debates on Pentecostal hermeneutics as well as the characteristics of the three perspectives of the faith and hope gospel by using the terms ‘name it, claim it, grab it’.

Full text
Abstract:
The paper is devoted to the IT-projects dynamics analysis in order to develop management processes that assure stability of the projects to scope changes. Software development lifecycle is considered combined with one of organizational changes which are carried out by IT-projects execution. This integral study of IT-projects organizational structure allows to discover projects particularities that lead to destabilization and especially "scope creep" as a main factor of loss of stability and, as a result, failure of objectives realization. To provide required level the model integrity IT-projects are to be considered in context of organization´s project portfolio as a part of business transformation program. The program in turn is studied not in its entire scope but particularly in its part relative to IT-project implementation together with obtaining desired results of its product utilization. To secure metrics-based project objectives achievement control an EVM modification for IT-projects management is presented in the article. Simulation that is also performed in the study illustrates internal causes of scope creep problem and its solution with methods developed in this study and thus project stability assurance.

Abstract:
When we attended the Smithsonian Museum's traveling exhibition on kaleido-scopes at our University Museum, several undergraduate students made an interesting discovery. Pan of the exhibit featured a device with hinged mirrors and colored objects that could be arranged on a table; participants arranged the objects and explored the different effect that they could see reflected in the mirrors. When the students placed a colored strip between the ends of the mirrors and looked directly into the mirrors, which were positioned to create an angle with measure 90 degrees, they saw a square (fig. 1a). When they changed the angle of the mirror, they saw a regular pentagon or hexagon.

Abstract:
Our cluster receives a number of referrals from schools requesting support with the implementation of assistive technology tools (particularly word prediction software) to support struggling reluctant writers. It is widely acknowledged that writing is pivotal for academic success, and when a learner has difficulty expressing their ideas they often can become alienated and frustrated. Fledging research suggests that the appropriate use of assistive technology like word prediction software can remove such barriers for struggling writers. A popular word prediction software tool used in New Zealand schools is WordQ. This article discusses the background to WordQ, summarises the research supporting its effectiveness as a tool to support struggling writers, and highights ways to overcome barriers to enable the successful implementation of WordQ in schools.

However the same fungus showed harmful pathogenicity against different plants causing crops economical losses. This review is to demonstrate secondary metabolites from the endophytic fungi Pestalotiopsis and some of its reported biological activities. Moreover, describing the unique chemical diversity of this fungal genus involved in medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural applications. Also highlight the harmful side of this important fungus.
