Résumé L’engagement dans une vie familiale permet d’accéder à une économie morale des échanges favorable, a priori, à des formes spécifiques de reconnaissance. Témoignages réciproques de trajectoires biographiques et d’aspirations futures, accueils d’une plainte, aveux pudiques d’une faiblesse : ces promesses d’hospitalité faites aux singularités confèrent à l’intimité domestique une place significative dans l’existence des personnes. Mais qui dit promesse dit probabilité : l’intimité domestique connaît aussi ses limites et ses contraintes. Ces insuffisances du monde privé nous rappellent que l’intimité a partie liée au public, à l’accès aux ressources qui permettent d’asseoir une dignité et de partager une intimité sans l’inconfort de l’équivoque.

The form, geometry and epithelial morphology of the extrapulmonary primary bronchi (EPPB) of the domestic fowl (Gallus gallus var. domesticus) and the rock dove (Columba livia) were studied microscopically and by three-dimensional computer reconstruction to determine the structural features that may be involved in the rectification of the inspired air past the openings of the medioventral secondary bronchi (MVSB), i.e. the inspiratory aerodynamic valving (IAV). In both species, the EPPB were intercalated between the clavicular and the cranial thoracic air-sacs. A notable difference between the morphology of the EPPB in G. g. domesticus and C. livia was that, in the former, the EPPB were constricted at the origin of the MVSB, while a dilatation occurred at the same site in the latter. In both species, a highly vascularized, dorsally located hemispherical epithelial swelling was observed cranial to the origin of the MVSB. The MVSB were narrow at their origin and variably angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the EPPB. Conspicuous epithelial tracts and folds were observed on the luminal aspect of the EPPB in both C. livia and G. g. domesticus. From their marked development and their orientation relative to the angled MVSB, these properties may influence the flow of the air in the EPPB. It was concluded that features such as syringeal constriction, an intimate topographic relationship between the EPPB and the cranial air-sacs, prominent epithelial tracts and folds, an epithelial swelling ahead of the origin of the first MVSB (corresponding to the ‘segmentun accelerans’), and narrowing and angulation of the MVSB at their origin, may together contribute to IAV to a variable extent. In as much as the mechanism of pulmonary ventilation and mode of airflow in the parabronchial lung are basically similar in all birds, the morphological differences observed between G. g. domesticus and C. livia suggest that either the mechanism of production of IAV or its functional efficiency may be different, at least in these two species of birds.

Les interventions éducatives à domicile en France restent très majoritairement des mesures judiciaires qui s’imposent aux familles. Comment les parents acceptent-ils et perçoivent-ils les professionnels qui s’immiscent dans leur intimité dans l’objectif de veiller à la protection de leurs enfants ? Nous avons rencontré quinze familles, deux fois chacune, à un an d’intervalle. Ces familles avaient en commun de faire l’objet de plusieurs interventions simultanées dans leur espace domestique : celle d’un éducateur spécialisé dans le cadre d’une mesure éducative et celle d’une technicienne d’intervention sociale et familiale (TISF). Les résultats montrent que la collaboration des familles dans un contexte contraint diffère selon la nature de l’activité. Ce critère s’inscrit dans un ensemble d’autres facteurs connus et confirmés par l’étude.

Futiles et ordinaires, les objets souvenir qui ponctuent notre quotidien semblent n'avoir guère d'intérêt. Aller à leur rencontre conduit pourtant l'etnologue au coeur d'une intimité qui s'avère être la mise en forme d'une économie domestique invisible mais à la symbolique méticuleusement orchestrée. La méthode ethnographique utilisée dans cette thèse entraîne le chercheur dans une posture d'écoutant. Il reçoit les confidences de ses contemporains, des histoires d'affection et de "désafection". Produit de la modernité, l'individu donne ainsi consistance à son identité. La projection des sentiments et de la mémoire dans les objets se révèle avec plus de force encore lorsqu'il s'agit de transmettre ce matrimoine. Les objets d'affection peuvent à tout moment devenir anonymes, et, se détachant de leur dernier gardien domestique, ils basculent alors dans le domaine du patrimoine ou ne sont plus que des déchets. Ces "pièces à confession" se déclinent selon des tonalités sentimentales diverses mais de la passion à l'indifférence, elles nous permettent d'accéder au répertoire culturel à partir duquel chacun va fabriquer un autoportrait en accord avec la société qui lui sert de cadre

A partir d'une approche ethnographique et phénoménologique, cette thèse s'attache à mettre en valeur l'univers domestique, envisagé du point de vue de la dimension biographique des objets et de la dimension sensorielle et sensualisée de l'intimité. Après une discussion méthodologique centrée sur les apports originaux de l'ethnologie pour l'étude de nos sociétés et l'attitude réflexive du chercheur dans une situation d'enquête fondée sur l'intersubjectivité, une deuxième partie restitue de manière exhaustive les résultats observés, en combinant la description matérielle, le témoignage, l'argumentation et l'analyse. Ces résultats d'enquête sont ensuite inscrits dans une perspective anthropologique qui compose la troisième partie, à la lumière de nombreuses enquêtes et études. Dans un premier chapitre est interrogée la notion de désordre, dont l'analyse fait apparaitre qu'il peut être compris comme un ordre singulier de la mémoire biographique. Cette dimension biographique est le point de départ d'un second chapitre dans lequel elle apparait comme temporalité fondamentale de l'univers domestique, qui constitue alors un condense de la biographie des résidents. L'analyse montre ensuite comment cette dimension biographique ne peut prendre signification que si elle est rattachée, dans la réalité vécue comme dans l'imaginaire, à d'autres temporalités (famille et générations, histoire, antiquité, éternités. . . )
Based on an ethnographical and phenomenological approach, this thesis attempts to focus on the domestic realm by looking at the biographical dimension of objects and the sensorial and sensual aspects of intimacy. The first part consists of a methodological discussion on the contribution of ethnology to the study of western societies, and the researcher's reflexive attitude during a survey based on intersubjectivity. The second part presents the results in an exhaustive manner by combining physical description, statements, argumentation and analysis. In the third and final part, the results of the study are examined from an anthropological viewpoint, by referring to several other similar studies and surveys. The first chapter deals with the concept of disorder, the analysis of which reveals that it can be understood as a singular order of biographical memory. This biographical dimension is the starting point for the second chapter where it is established as a fundamental temporality of the domestic realm, which is then providing a condensed version of the biography of the residents. The analysis then demonstrates how this biographical dimension has no significance unless it is interlinked with other temporalities (family and generations, history, antiquity, eternity, etc. ) Both in real life and imagination

Cette thèse s’attache à étudier les représentations de la vie intime, réalisées dans des techniques et sur des supports variés (peinture, dessin, gravure), entre 1780 et 1815. À cette période, l’intimité connaît une évolution sémantique et une utilisation plus développée : d’une acception limitée à la définition des liens entre deux individus, progressivement sa signification prend une tournure secrète, et s’étend à tout ce que nous ne dévoilons qu’à un cercle réduit d’individus – qu’il s’agisse du for intérieur, des sentiments affectifs ou encore de la sexualité. Ces changements sémantiques sont accompagnés d’une évolution des pratiques domestiques, culturelles et littéraires qui corroborent l’idée d’une période décisive dans l’histoire de l’intimité. Ce travail analyse ainsi les différentes manières de figurer l’intimité, et interroge en outre la destination et la réception des œuvres, afin de comprendre ce que nous révèle la démonstration de l’intimité sur les mœurs de la société française au tournant du XIXe siècle. L’examen de différents modes de diffusion et d’exposition des images, ainsi que le dépouillement des témoignages écrits offerts par la critique permettent de cerner les goûts du public et d’avoir une idée sur la place qui était accordée à ces images, dans les expositions publiques et dans les collections privées
This thesis examines the representations of private life, made with diverse technics and mediums (painting, drawing, engraving), between 1780 and 1815. At this time, intimacy shows an evolution in its semantic and its usage : from a limited meaning to the definition of the relationship between two individuals, gradually its signification approaches the notion of secrecy, and extends to everything we reveal only to small cercles of persons, to our heart of hearts, our emotional feelings, or sexuality. These semantic shifts come along a domestic, cultural and literary evolution, which support the idea of a decisive time period in the history of privacy. Therefore this work analyses the different ways of representing intimacy and questions whom those works of art were destined to and how they were received, in order to understand the habits and customs of the french society at the turning point of the 19th century. The study of the various methods of exhibiting the pictures as well as the analyse of the writing accounts of the art critics help to more fully understand the taste of the audience and the place the pictures had in the public expositions and in the private collections

Résumé: Je m'intéresse, depuis le territoire du design, à l'intérêt que Le Corbusier porta pour le vêtement moderne, à partir d'une conférence de 1929 où la réforme du vêtement l'emporte à fonder son concept d' « équipement domestique » pour la « machine à habiter ». La richesse du modèle renvoie vers des écrits préalables, notamment sa théorie des "objets-membres artificiels" qui s'est trouvée soutenir une nouvelle définition « prothétique » du design, et par ailleurs des témoignages vécus plus intimes qui amènent un point de vue alternatif et dynamique sur la relation corporelle aux artefacts modernes. Au cœur des débats sur la place et le rôle de la machine industrielle, la position de Le Corbusier révèle sa complexité et sa singularité, qui s'éclaire grâce à des travaux et des concepts propres à l'époque, telle que la Rythmique et la phénoménologie du mouvement, les notions d'œuvre vivante, de sensation et de mesure. Cela emporte à esquisser une conception prothétique corbuséenne, paradoxale, offrant en retour d'enrichir la compréhension de cette idéologie encore très active, et aussi de contribuer à une théorie du vêtement en design, si frêle sur le sujet. Resumen: Me interesa, desde el territorio del diseño, el interés que Le Corbusier trajo a la prenda moderna, desde una conferencia de 1929 en que la reforma de la prenda le lleva a instaurar su concepto de "equipo del hogar" por la "máquina para vivir". La riqueza del modelo se refiere a los escritos anteriores, especialmente su teoría de la "extremidades objetos artificiales”, que se encontró sostener una nueva definición "prótesis" del diseño , y por otro lado, testimonios vividos más íntimos que conducen a un punto de vista alternativo y dinámico sobre relación cuerpo a los artefactos modernos. En el centro del debate sobre el lugar y el papel de la máquina industrial, la posición de Le Corbusier revela su complejidad y singularidad, que se ilumina gracias a las obras y los conceptos específicos de la época, tal como la Rítmica y la fenomenología de movimiento, las nociones de obras vivas, de sensación y de medida. Esto lleva a esbozar un diseño protésico corbuseano, paradójico, permitiendo a cambio enriquecer la comprensión de esta ideología que aun sigue muy activa, y también para contribuir a una teoría de la vestimenta en diseño, tan frágil sobre este tema. Abstract: I focus, from the territory of design, on the interest Le Corbusier brought to the modern garment, from a 1929 conference where the dressreform leads him to develop his concept of "équipement domestique" for the "machine à habiter". Richness of the model refers to prior writings, especially his theory of "objets-membres artificiels", which occured supporting a new "prosthetic" definition of design, and besides that, intimate testimonies that develop an alternative point of view, more dynamic, about body relationship to modern artefacts. At the heart of debates of the time about the place and role of industrial machinery, the position Le Corbusier holds reveals its complexity and uniqueness, which can be clarify through works and concepts specific of that time such as Eurythmics and the phenomenology of movement, notions of living work of art, sensation and measure. This encourages suggest a Corbusean, paradoxical, prosthetic design, allowing in return enrich the understanding of this ideology still very active, and also to contribute to a theory of dress in design, so slight on this subject.
