Abstract:
The World Wide Web Internet opens up a lot of opportunities, which attracts teenagers to an uncontrolled stay in the virtual world, despite the lack of free time and the real need at the moment, as well as the inability to leave it in time. The relevance of the study in adolescents is associated with increased dependence. Also, it should be noted that our research in this area is characterized by a certain behavior, which becomes due to the inharmonious use of these resources. Survey data indicated that teenagers belong to the main category of Internet-addicted people. The result of the one we are considering imposes its negative imprint on all aspects of life. In psychology – aberration (deviation from rational thinking and behavior).

Abstract:
With the development of Internet scale, diversifications of applications and the network virtualization, novel applications emerge, such as search services, stream, social networks, cloud services, e-commerce, big data services and so on. Current Internet cannot afford the diversifying services any more. The network architecture should be improved or a clean slate architecture design is desired. Novel designs of future Internet become a hot topic. IPv6 is the improvement version of IPv4, which solves the address issue of the current Internet, but issues of routing scalability, security, mobility and Quality of Service are still remain. There are two ways to future Internet, improving ones and clean slate designs. The former is based on the current Internet and the latter is novel design without the limitation of the current network architecture. In this paper, we introduce related work of future Internet and summarize the locator/ID separation mechanism, SDN, OpenFlow, NDN and so on. At final, we conclude the paper.

Abstract:
The Internet, undoubtedly, is the most influential technical invention of the 20th century that affects and constantly changes all aspects of our day-to-day lives nowadays. Although it is hard to predict its long-term consequences, the potential future of the Internet definitely relies on future Internet research. Prior to every development and deployment project, an extensive and comprehensive research study must be performed in order to design, model, analyze, and evaluate all impacts of the new initiative on the existing environment. Taking the ever-growing size of the Internet and the increasing complexity of novel Internet-based applications and services into account, the evaluation and validation of new ideas cannot be effectively carried out over local test beds and small experimental networks. The gap which exists between the small-scale pilots in academic and research test beds and the realize validations and actual deployments in production networks can be bridged by using virtual infrastructures. FEDERICA is one of the facilities, based on virtualization capabilities in both network and computing resources, which creates custom-made virtual environments and makes them available for Future Internet Researchers. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art research projects that have been using the virtual infrastructure slices of FEDERICA in order to validate their research concepts, even when they are disruptive to the test bed’s infrastructure, to obtain results in realistic network environments.

Abstract:
A web site was designed and constructed for the Research + Demonstration Facility (RDF) as a master’s thesis project to help educators teach future architects more interactively by using the dynamic medium of the Internet. Students and faculty will learn about evolving architectural research and technology as well as potential consequences of design decisions. Educators will be able to conduct online research, or tele-experiments, in the classroom thus allowing students to learn, in near real-time, the outcome or progress of research on and off campus. This project presents some of the possibilities of how the Internet can enhance research information delivery to students and faculty of architecture.

Abstract:
Thesis (MPhil)--Stellenbosch University, 2001.
ENGLISH ABSTRACT: It is widely accepted that the Internet has become a valuable resource for social scientists, not just for the purpose of information exchange; via e-mail, discussion groups and electronic journals, but also as a medium for data collection. Its global nature gives a researcher access to a vast range of individuals located around the world. It also opens up access to difficult to hitherto penetrate study areas, such as sensitive research on deviant behaviour. Further, it is claimed that considerable savings to both research budgets and time frames are made possible with the new technology. It is not surprising, therefore, that a substantial body of research, employing the Internet as the primary means of data collection, already exists. This raises a number of questions as to how the Internet fares as a research tool. Are there any important methodological issues that this new approach raises? Do the traditional research methods suffice? Or are adaptations to existing methods necessary when difficulties are encountered? Does such changes affect the more fundamental question of the research design? These questions are considered in this thesis. To answer them, I consider two different types of empirical research designs. The first,' survey research, is a quantitative, numerical design that traditionally has a high level of control. I consider in detail issues of sampling, including non-response, and questionnaire design. The second design examined, ethnographic research, is qualitative, textual and generally has a low level of researcher control. I address the methods used in cyber ethnography and then discuss the considerable ethical concerns that feature in such research. I conclude that, on the whole, the existing methods can be transferred to Internet research. Indeed, some of the problems faced in traditional research are also considerations in Internet studies and can be overcome by employing similar techniques, such as using incentives to reduce non-response rates. However, a number of new problems emerge, such as the lack of paralinguistic cues, which require adaptations to the existing methods in order to produce results that can be considered valid and reliable. However, I also argue that these necessary adaptations to the methods do not affect the underlying principles found in the research design.

Abstract:
The quality of performed functions is crucially important in the process of use of interactive Internet maps. Functionality determines and describes the capabilities provided to the user: e.g., viewing, analysis or integral management of map elements. The dissertation presents original methodology that allows for integral quantitative evaluation the quality of implementation of functions of Internet maps of various types and complexity. The users‘ needs are taken into account. The methodology is based on the results of three investigations: user experiences, expert opinions and actual functions of existing interactive maps. All these aspects are combined into one complex, cumulative and flexible system of criteria and indices for qualimetric assessment of quality of implemented map functions. Original Internet based CartoUI software (www.cartoui.com) has been developed for practical implementation and verification of this methodology. The software also provides tools for analysis of information collected during particular research or for selected time span. CartoUI is available for everyone to use it for investigation into functionality of interactive Internet maps and for analysis of users‘ needs. The dissertation also provides detailed practical recommendations for development of diverse interactive internet maps tailored for different user groups. The recommendations are based on research on particular users‘ needs clarified by means of CartoUI.

Abstract:
In Latin America and the Caribbean, there exists an important digital divide which can have important implications for children's educational development. In particular, many children in the region lack access to the internet at home, which could potentially impact their academic and cognitive growth. The potential implications of lack of digital resources on childrens development took center stage during the school closures induced by the Covid-19 pandemic.
