Abstract:
This article focuses on defining the integrated platform for managing information in smart cities. We look into the smart city platforms that are increasingly used in today’s cities all around the world. Smart city platforms can be deployed on private, public or hybrid clouds, remote servers or onsite. By definition, a smart city platform integrates many different functional areas of the smart city in a single environment. The Smart city platform offers integrated functionality to coordinate intelligent city data, applications, solutions and services at one or more operational levels between multiple stakeholders with integrated functionality. By monitoring and analysing the use of urban assets, the government can distribute them to improve operational efficiency. The platform provides middleware and operational functionality across multiple software and hardware, integrates multiple communication protocols, and provides latent and free solutions for smart cities. Managing the huge amounts of data generated by IoT-based sensors and systems is a main challenge facing end users and providers. We show that smart city platforms serve to standardize data and information across many silo systems. It is demonstrated that they provide a common mechanism for visualizing and managing data to optimize the entire urban operation.

Abstract:
Introduction. The “Smart Agroˮ committee of Research and Education Center “Engineering of the Future” has identified a number of tasks relevant for improving the efficiency of precision, soil-protecting and conservation agriculture. One of these tasks is the development of a digital multi-agent system, which provides a number of services for agricultural enterprises, developers and manufacturers of agricultural machinery. The purpose of the present study is to model an autonomous mobile robotic platform, including the development of software and hardware for trajectory control. Materials and Methods. To solve the problem, there are used modern CAx systems and their applications, the methods of 3D and full-body modeling, and the method of numerical solution of problems in solid mechanics. To expand and improve the standard functionality of CAx-systems (SolidWorks) in the software implementation of trajectory control algorithms, the methods and technologies of programming using API SolidWorks, VisualStudio C++ (MFC, ATL, COM) are used, and to build physical full-scale models ‒ Arduino and fischertechnik platforms. Results. The result of the study is a software and hardware module of trajectory control for an integrated (physical and virtual) model of a mobile robotic platform, which can be provided to the consumer as a service for technology autonomation. For the developed integrated model, control algorithms for various types of trajectories were tested. Discussion and Conclusion. The developed integrated software and hardware model of trajectory control can be used by developers and manufacturers of agricultural machinery, and directly by agro-enterprises for implementing typical technological processes. A feature of the implementation is an open hardware and software interface that provides the integration of mobile robotic platforms based on a digital multi-agent system.

Abstract:
Computer Systems on Integrated Software Platforms are gaining popularity among users. They have a number of advantages over other platforms. In particular, this is a reduction in maintenance costs and the ability to quickly deploy additional Hardware & Software without stopping the system. But there are also a number of disadvantages. The most significant of these is an increase in the processing time for transactions of users using data warehouses. One of the directions of its solution is the formation of resource distribution, which is focused on minimizing resource costs. A mathematical model of resource distribution during transactions in CS on ISP is proposed. The distribution quality is determined by the criterion of minimizing the total transaction execution time. The admissible set of distributions is formed using the method of penalties for the execution of transactions. This further refines the integrated infrastructure. Simulation modeling of the process of distributing a computing resource with a selected plan made it possible to formulate requirements for the algorithm for solving the problem of scheduling transactions in an integrated environment. The proposed method also makes it possible to carry out operational rescheduling of transaction execution and reduce time costs when making operational changes to the transaction execution plan.

Abstract:
In the information age organizations focus on an integrated business process, as opposed to previously specialized functional skills. Globalisation has erased borders, consequently putting firms on the market with the best companies in the world. Considering the development of performance management and the increasingly complex structure and data amount, doing business without the support of information technology (IT) is simply unthinkable. The new paradigm has been known as the third generation of information technology platforms ("3rd Platform IT"). It is based on "cloud", mobile, social and Big Data technologies. This will enable all important digital transformations, evolutions and expansion of the industry in the following period. The future of organisations depends on the ability to master 3rd Platform IT and use them to their advantage. This paper will present some of the software platforms, which concern the strategic management support system, the budget support system, the performance management support system as well as the performance management support systems for teams and individuals.

Abstract:
Building Information Modelling (BIM) objects represent buildingproducts in design, simulation, and procurement processes. This paper explores how BIM objects could be created and exchanged to enable the diffusion of innovative products with enhanced sustainability performance. Two BIM library platforms were examined by taking a new approach that integrates the concepts of sustainable value, diffusion of innovations, information, software usability, and platform ecosystems. The findings show that the diffusion of sustainable products can be inhibited due to problems with the mechanisms for creating and exchanging BIM objects, quality of BIM objects, the usability of BIM library platforms, and participation on the platforms. This study deepens understanding of the problems by focusing on ventilation products in Sweden. Identified shortcomings in the current practices of BIM platform owners and participants would be reduced by effective platform strategies, certification schemes for BIM objects, and BIM object creation processes integrated with product lifecycle management.

Abstract:
Different classes of problems on the embedded systems market and its needs make manufacturers of embedded systems to design heterogeneous many/multi core hardware platforms. Such platforms includes dozens of different cores: CPU, GPU, DSP, FPGA etc. That makes them incredibly hard to program, especially in case when domain experts are involved in the development process. Usually, domain expert has knowledge in his domain area, but does not fully understand the specificity of programming for heterogeneous manycore platforms. In this article, we propose the complex technology and tools that allows involving domain experts in software development for embedded systems. The proposed technology has various aspects and abilities that can be used to build verifiable and portable software for a wide range of heterogeneous embedded platforms.

Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty of 05.13.05 – ComputerSystems and Components (123 – Computerengineering). – National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Kharkiv, 2020. The thesis is devoted to solving actual scientific and technical problem of increasing the efficiency of the information transfer process in computer systems on integrated software platforms. It is based on the development of a mathematical apparatus (mathematical models and methods) for the synthesis of information structures. The analysis of the problem state was carried out. It was revealed that, simultaneously with the increase in the volume of transmitted information in the computer system and the increased requirements for the speed of information transmission, integrated software platforms are increasingly used. As a result, the structure and nature of information flows change qualitatively and quantitatively. This significantly affects the information structures of computer systems and leads to a decrease in efficiency indicators. An analysis of the existing requirements for modern software platforms of computer systems has been carried out. Advantages and disadvantages of centralized, distributed and combined software platforms are highlighted. Based on the analysis, general requirements for the necessary composition of platform software products are formulated. The requirements for the hardware of the core network of the computer system supporting them are also formulated. The analysis showed the feasibility of using integrated software platforms for departmental computer systems. The necessity of increasing the efficiency of transaction processing in the basic networks of computer systems has been proven. Those that use integrated software platforms can be done by using the specific properties of such platforms. This is due to the synthesis of the information structure of the computer system. A complex of interrelated models of the information structure of the computer system and the technical structure of the basic network has been developed. It takes into account the peculiarities of the integrated software platform. The complex is based on a stratified representation of the main constituents of the models. This allows you to take into account the informational relationships between the components of the computer system. It also allows increasing the degree of model adequacy. A set of methods foroperational redistribution of information flows in the basic network of a computer system on an integrated software platform has been developed. This complex takes into account the dynamics of the development of a computer system and the characteristic features of the underlying network. It is based on the operational reconfiguration of the virtual communication channel system. This helps to reduce the average packet delay. A set of methods for synchronizing the information structure of a computer system with the computing resources of the nodes of the basic network has been developed. The complex, which has been developed, takes into account information links between the tasks of a computer system and the possibility of using composite applications. This complex is based on an adaptive approach to finding a rational distribution of tasks between network nodes. The complex allows you to quickly synchronize. Synchronization is focused on reducing the cost of computing resources and increasing the efficiency of information transfer. The method of distribution of information flows along routes in the basic network of a computer system on an integrated software platform has been improved. The method differs from the known ones by using iterative load balancing of hosts. This is what makes it possible to reduce the cost of computing resources. The method of forming an information structure of increased reliability in a computer system on an integrated software platform has been improved. This method differs from the known ones by the simultaneous distribution of information flows along all the main and alternative routes of the core network. This allows, in the event of a failure of any network node, to continue processing transactions of the computer system. The computer system will operate without a significant decrease in service quality indicators and without changing the information structure. The method of optimizing the information structure of a computer system on an integrated software platform has been further developed. The method is based on the use of the mathematical apparatus of genetic algorithms. This device is used at the stage of load distribution of information nodes. This makes it possible to reduce the time spent on synthesizing the information structure and to form a balanced load on the nodes of the core network. The method of selecting an optimal plan for executing transactions of a computer system on an integrated software platform was further developed. A dynamic penalty function was introduced for exceeding time indicators. It is focused on the specifics of the integrated software platform and time scaling. This allows you to reduce the time spent on operational changes to the transaction execution plan. The complex of methods for processing requests to the data storage of a computer system on an integrated software platform has been further developed. A single disk pool was created. The peculiarities of access to the cloud components of the data warehouse were taken into account. This allows distributed heterogeneous components to be included in repositories. It also reduces the execution time of applications that access data warehouse components. The engineering methods and algorithms which has been developed on the basis of the offered models and methods allow: - simulate the information structure of the computer system on an integrated software platform and its basic computer network; - optimize the information structure of the computer system on an integrated software platform and the distribution of information flows along routes in the core network; - increase the operational efficiencyof computer system tasks on an integrated software platform by up to 10%; - reduce the costs of the computing resource of the basic network of a computer system on an integrated software platform up to 5%; - reduce the exploitational cost of a computer system on an integrated software platform by up to 10%; - expand the useful capacity of the data storage by including heterogeneous components and cloud components. Comparative assessment of developed and existing models and methods of synthesis information structures of computer systems on an integrated software platforms was carriedout. Based on the results that were obtained, the effectiveness of the proposed methods was proved. In particular, an assessment of the effectiveness of the subsystem for providing distance learning of the computer system in a technical university was carried out. The results of the integrated application of the proposed methods in the formation to the project of a computer system managing for the production structures of the airport are also presented. Where by increasing the transaction efficiency of information, the customer's requirements were achieved. They were executed relative to the limit of the probability of time bounds. This was done for operational transactions of the computer system with an increase in the load of the basic network.

This allows you to reduce the time spent on operational chang es to the transaction execution plan.

Abstract:
In the area of indoor built environment modelling, the main focus was usually put on the accuracy of the modelled equipment within the given environment. There was not enough attention placed on the modelling of occupants inside the building, who represent the ultimate end?users and should be the most important element of an indoor built environment model. This deficiency was mainly due to the difficulties of modelling human behaviour with the traditional mathematical modelling methods usually adopted in the field. Therefore, in order to model the occupants more effectively, a more appropriate alternative approach is needed. This thesis examined the suitability of agent?based modelling and simulation (ABMS) for the indoor built environment. Philosophies of ABMS for the built environment were discussed, with the natural flow of progression stages in indoor built environment models outlined and explored, showing the need for switching a problem of simplicity to one in which a complex organised system was defined. Scenarios of single active agent case in ABMS for indoor built environment were used to demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach, with the finding that ABMS was versatile in modelling different types of occupants. It provided an illustration of the difference between people with different sensation time, and estimated energy savings between occupants with varied understanding of the environment. A classification scheme for different types of indoor built environment models with different levels of complexities was proposed and discussed. Based on the classification scheme, models with different levels of complexities were applied to the same building to explore the feasibility and practicality of the scheme. It was found that the simulation results provided insightful figures on probable energy consumption for different types of occupants and their crowd behaviour when interactions between occupants were considered. Findings included the amount of energy saved (around 10%) by a knowledgeable occupant over a less informed one, and the tendency for the majority (?66%) of occupants trying to save energy by assessing the environment themselves under different conditions. To further assist building management and the implementation of ABMS approach in built environment for simulations, the concepts of geographic information system (GIS) were modified for applications in the indoor environment, based on its similarity with ABMS for a grid?based environment. A prototype program was developed to test the applicability of the proposed concepts, with OPC connectivity for connections to real?world equipment. It was found that the idea of indoor GIS helps to solve problems such as the facility layout problem or the difficulties of information storage/retrieval in facility management, and this concept also integrated well with ABMS. With the successful modelling of different types of occupants and simulation results consistent with real data, it can be concluded from the work that ABMS is a promising approach for future generations of indoor built environment models. Also, with the inspiring framework of indoor GIS, the combination of ABMS and GIS in an integrated platform will certainly bring a powerful tool to the field.

Abstract:
This work investigates the implementation of a novel, NASA-developed Fluid Harmonic Absorber (FHA) technology to mitigate platform motions and structural loads that can lead to lighter platforms, increased turbine performance, and ultimately, a lower LCOE. The novel damping strategy takes advantage of existing water ballast in the VolturnUS semi-submersible platform to achieve significant performance gains with minimal additional equipment and complexity. NREL’s FOWT software FAST is modified to include the primary features of the FHA technology. A study of the University of Maine-developed VolturnUS semi-submersible FOWT augmented with FHA technology is undertaken to quantify global performance of the system. When compared to the baseline technology, numerical simulations of a redesigned platform utilizing the FHA dampers indicate a reduction of 15.8% in hull structural material. Finally, the improvements in LCOE resulting from this mass reduction are assessed to demonstrate the advantages of NASA’s FHA technology for FOWT applications.

Abstract:
Offshore platforms in seismically active areas should be designed to survive severe earthquake excitations with no global structural failure. In seismic design of offshore platforms, it is often necessary to perform a dynamic analysis that accounts for nonlinear pile soil structures interaction effects. This paper summarizes an inexpensive and practical procedure compatible with readily available structural analysis software (ANSYS) for estimating the nonlinear lateral response of fixed offshore platforms resting on flexible piles subjected to seismic loading. In the proposed model, piles and jacket members are modeled using BNWF (Beam on Nonlinear Winkler Foundation) and FE (Finite Element) approaches respectively in an integrated model. In this paper, nonlinear seismic response analysis of an existing sample offshore platform has been performed and sensitivity of the results to the model main parameters is investigated.

Abstract:
The scope of modern power plant controls usually includes plant DCS, boiler control and protection, steam/gas turbine governor and protection, auxiliaries control, automatic voltage controller, automatic synchronizer and operator/engineering stations. Usually these control packages come from different manufacturers (OEM). They are typically based on various electronic hardware and software platforms. Different communication protocols often present problems during system integration; and maintenance costs of these various electronic hardware and software platforms are normally greater than that of a stand alone system. Advantages of an integrated, distributed, open architecture, digital system, (Fig. 1) which covers all the power plant needs are discussed in this paper. A common electronic hardware/ software platform allows optimization of the new constructions and upgrades, shorten delivery and commissioning time, and improve availability and safety of the new and upgraded power plants. Specific benefits of this concept are presented in the Mt. Poso controls upgrade Case Study. The common electronic hardware/ software platform installed at Mt. Poso allowed optimization of the upgrade, shortened commissioning time, improved availability, reliability and safety and reduced maintenance cost of the control systems.

Abstract:
Analysis of diverse data in geosciences requires access to various processing tools, including specialized software packages, proprietary algorithms, GIS systems, web services, etc. Such tools require from the user a certain level of skills to work with them, form a software environment, the availability of the necessary computing power, and sometimes significant time and financial costs. With the development of information technology, more and more software products, including professional software packages for data processing, are provided to users in the format of various cloud services and platforms. In such systems, computation takes place on the side of the service provider and is accessed through a web browser. The emergence of such open-access services and platforms makes it possible to organize a single workspace for a researcher with the ability to analyze his own data using various processing methods, including tools traditionally used in earth sciences. The report is devoted to the development of an approach for the integration of various tools for processing heterogeneous data with open access within a single multi-platform ecosystem. The software system developed based on the proposed approach is demonstrated. The report describes software modules that implement the functions of access to processing and analysis tools, as well as service modules for system administration, component monitoring and event logging. Services and processing platforms integrated into the ecosystem are considered, as well as scenarios for solving some geological problems.

Abstract:
Abstract To adequately manage and streamline these business processes, the Oil & Gas industry has been over many years investing in countless number of digital solutions and platforms in a pursuit to support all business areas starting from planning, well engineering, operations reporting, real-time monitoring, reaching predictive analytics and automated drilling. Integrating these many different systems seamlessly is still a challenge even within the same company. Operating companies that run numerous drilling activities to deliver thousands of wells annually face these challenges the most, where developing an integrated collaborative digital work environment to support the business is becoming necessary and emphasized with the current initiatives for digital transformation. In this paper, the experience of developing a digital collaborative environment is shared, focusing on how to manage such a complex project from both ends: drilling and IT perspectives. The developed environment supports multiple levels of integration starting from business processes, data flows and governance, applications and services, up to knowledge management and machine learning workflows. The platform of such solution is based on modern microservices design patterns, which is the constituent to develop complex business requirements, and simplifies the development and maintenance activities, promoting fast delivery and high-quality product. In addition, it provides an open architecture to allow third-party software services to be integrated seamlessly. Managing the project stakeholders was a big challenge with wide variety of stakeholders’ groups and their widely different backgrounds, and that was overcome by continuously involving stakeholders and transparently communicate to them detailed project status update with challenges and successes. A collaborative integrated work environment was introduced to cover the specific business domain as end-to-end process: starting from automated requirements elicitation from upstream teams such as reservoir management, exploration, and producing, going through rig scheduling & budgeting, then well design and engineering, with full functionality for automated well monitoring during the execution phase, reaching the end-of-well activities and well handover process to next stakeholder. The new environment helped to support the integrity of multiple business processes with a significant process performance improvement up to 100% in some cases which resulted in valuable time & cost saving. In addition, data flow and processes workflow was enhanced and the timeline was crashed from weeks to few days. The result of this work is a digital platform that is integrated, intelligent, enriched and orchestrated that innovatively transforms the subject business processes, by not only integrating in-house developed applications, but also offering a stable platform for third-party software services integration, paving the road for an effective and efficient digital transformation journey for the targeted activities in operating companies.

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to present the innovative reliability modeling of Petrobras 2010 integrated gas supply chain. The model represents a challenge in terms of complexity and software robustness. It was jointly developed by PETROBRAS Gas & Power Department and Det Norske Veritas. It was carried out with the objective of evaluating security of supply of 2010 gas network design that was conceived to connect Brazilian Northeast and Southeast regions. To provide best in class analysis, state of the art software was used to quantify the availability and the efficiency of the overall network and its individual components (such as gas processing units, city-gates, compressor stations, pipelines). The study requests, as input, a lot of information, that should be provided from different sectors of Petrobras, since it is supposed to depict reliability performance of all gas supply chain players. Information such as 2010 design configurations, gas offer and demand profiles, shedding priority, pressure delivery conditions, supply contract and associated penalties, commodity prices, etc., should be raised and addressed. More than twelve processing plants were modeled, in a detailed manner, and have their performance indicators compared. Different gas sources were considered in the study, such as offshore platforms, onshore fields, Bolivia pipeline and LNG ships. Detailed failure probability and repair data were addressed. Contingency plans, for each identified scenario, were made, in order to evaluate probable losses that constitute an input for the reliability modeling. Therefore, two additional software’s were used for their validation: - Pipeline studio – TGNET (from Energy Solutions), to check pressure conditions; and an in-house Petrobras software (PLANAGE), used for best gas allocation purposes. Experienced operational team opinion was incorporated on that contingency plans elaboration. This work constitutes a powerful tool for Petrobras planning and optimization of gas supply chain future configurations. The simulation provides propositions for investments prioritization, based on cost benefit analysis, and as a by-product, contingency plans, that were developed, considering different failure scenarios.
