Abstract:
The paper presents an electromagnetic installation for producing vibrations, used in the de-tensioning of welded joints of welded constructions. They are also presented novelty elements regarding the domains of use of these types of installations, as well as the benefit of their use. They are highlighted the component parts of these types of installations. This type of electromagnetic installations can be used at the treatment of welded joints used only on magnetic steels. The results obtained with this type of installations are obvious. This vibration system can be used to de-stress welded joints and can successfully replace other types of conventional heat treatment. The components of this installation were purchased commercially. That makes possible that this type of installation can be easily built. The installation has designed a protection system for high voltages and currents. The main purpose of using this type of installation is to reduce the costs of conventional heat treatment, used at welded metal constructions. The installation can be used without strict protection rules. If we talk about the results, we can say that this type of treatment can bring significant economic benefits.

Abstract:
In accordance with the requirements of PN EN 13201-5 standard for road lighting installation, energy performance indicators should be descripted. In order to calculate energy performance indicators, it is necessary to know the active power of the road lighting system. The above standard does not specify whether active power losses should be taken into account in calculations. The main purpose of the article is to estimate the active power losses in the road lighting installation. The article presents methods for calculating active power losses, taking into account losses in all main elements of the installation. The obtained calculation results show the relationship between active power losses and the power of luminaires, their number and spacing between poles. Calculations of active power losses were made for single-phase and three-phase installations. The active power losses in a three-phase system do not exceed 1.5% and in a single-phase installation they may be greater than 7%. Therefore, in order to obtain exact values of energy performance indicators (and also predict electricity consumption), active power losses should be taken into account in calculations. In addition, a comparative analysis of the effect of luminaires dimming and active power losses on annual CO2 emissions was made. Not taking into account the active power losses in the calculation of the lighting installation’s power, for single-phase installations in particular, understates the calculated value of CO2 emissions by more than 6%.

Abstract:
During ecological researches and monitoring of the natural aquatic environment it is very often necessary to carry out filtration of water large volumes for extraction on filters the weighed components, and for subsequent analysis of mineral and organic suspension’s structure. The installations applied now for vacuum filtration have a number of essential restrictions. The most important deficiency of existing installations for vacuum filtration is the use of a leak-tight receiver with rigid design. At intensive filtration such receiver has to have a large volume that limits filtration installation’s possibilities for transportation and afield operation. Need of a vacuum pump’s protection against a filtrate intrusion demands constant monitoring for receiver filling at the large filtration volume. During receiver filling the filtration process needs to be interrupted for filtrate removal from the receiver, but sometimes such interruption significantly complicates the filtration process. In this paper is described the developed new mobile installation for continuous vacuum filtration based on a closed cycle water-jet pump for vacuum generation. The proposed installation for vacuum filtration of natural water’s weighed components allows carry out filtration of water large volumes in the continuous mode. The installation hasn’t a leak-tight vacuum receiver so that it has small dimensions.

Abstract:
This work presents an economic analysis of the use of electricity storage in PV installations, based on previously adopted assumptions, i.e., the type and location of the tested facility and comparative variants, divided into the share of the storage in the installation, and the billing system. The work takes into account the share of the energy shield and assumes a consumption limit of 2000 kWh. The cost of building the installation is based on July 2023 prices. The work assumes potential directions of changes in electricity prices, based on which the degree of investment profitability for a given price situation is determined. Depending on the adopted change in the direction of electricity prices, with a low price increase rate, for installations in the new billing system (net-billing), the optimal choice is an installation without energy storage with a power exceeding the actual energy demand. Assuming a high increase in electricity prices, the optimal choice is an installation with energy storage with an installation capacity exceeding the actual demand. For installations billed using the net-metering system, the optimal choice is an installation without storage with an appropriately selected installation power. This article shows how much you can gain after installing a PV installation and not only what costs must be incurred to complete the investment. Profit analysis will enable a more complete assessment of the profitability of investing in PV panels (with or without energy storage). It describes the verification of the profitability of a PV installation for a standard user depending on various types of settlements with the electricity supplier and the lack or installation of an energy-storage facility.

Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of this article is to analyze the efficiency of electricity generation in photovoltaic systems located on the building made on the basis of HIT-IBC cells for multi-family residential buildings. The comparative analysis of the efficiency of electricity generation by photovoltaic (PV) installations made of two cell types -Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin-layer-Interdigitated Back Contact (HIT-IBC) and classical mono-crystalline silicon (mono-Si) - showed that the efficiency of HIT-IBC cells is 60% higher. These cells were selected for use as photo-voltaic systems located on the building to cover the demand for electricity through an exemplary multi-family residential building, consisting of 35 apartments divided into two, three and four-person households. Considering the previous calculations, in which it was shown that a PV installation made of HIT-IBC cells (PV1) is able to generate 192,75 kWh/(m2·y), annual electricity production was calculated by the indicated photovoltaic installation. It was found that the photovoltaic installation located on the roof of the building, based on HIT-IBC cells, will allow to cover the total electricity demand by a selected multi-family building. In addition, the installation’s payback period of 9 years was calculated, which takes a high place in the lifespan of photovoltaic installations of 20-25 years and thus ensuring the economic efficiency of the adopted technical solutions.

Abstract:
Photovoltaic installations are becoming an increasingly important player in the global renewable energy production market. The biggest disadvantage of photovoltaic installations is their high price, and relatively low efficiency. Photovoltaic cells achieve a theoretical efficiency of 30%, but in real conditions this efficiency is much lower at roughly 15%. Photovoltaic installations are particularly recommended in locations where the amount of solar radiation is high and where photovoltaic installations will be able to work at full capacity for most of the year. The paper presents an analysis of the work of a photovoltaic installation built for a roofed car park located in eastern Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The installation is built for a car park located at the Schlumberger company. The installation is built of 1344 Hanwha Q.Power L-G325 silicon polycrystalline cell modules, each module has a power of 325 Wp, and the total area of the installation is 2,611 m2. Effective irradiance on collectors is 1922 kWh/m2. The array’s nominal produced energy was 840 MWh/year, the amount of electricity injected into the grid was 587 MWh/year, which means that the calculated performance ratio was 0.62.

Abstract:
The backpressure steam turbine installations for combined production generate thermal energy and electricity. The produced electricity depends on the heat load determined by consumers. Heat energy is released in the district heating system through water, which is heated with the exhausted steam in boiler-condenser (district heater). The operation regime of the installation is influenced by load of the released district heat and the temperature of the district heat water at the input and output of the boiler-condenser. The variables are heat load of the district heating system and temperature of district heat water at power plant output. The temperature of the district heat water at the boiler-condenser input is an uncontrollable variable, whose value depends on heat consumption. It influences the steam pressure in the boiler-condenser and the available enthalpy drop of the cogeneration installation. In this report, a verified simulation model is applied on a backpressure steam turbine installation, type SST-300 CE2L/V36S. A multivariate simulation is carried out, studying the performance of the installation in off-design regimes. The results obtained are used for the creation of regression models of the installation’s energy characteristics. They reveal the dependence between the energy characteristics of the cogeneration steam turbine by the released heat load in the district heating system and the temperature of incoming and outgoing district heat water. The accuracy of the developed models is evaluated through multiple correlation coefficients. The mathematical models could be successfully used to optimize the operating regime of the backpressure steam turbine installation.

The several government subsidies available in Poland contributed to an increased interest in PV installations. Installed PV capacity increased from 100 MW in 2016 up to 2682.7 MW in July 2020. In 2019 alone, 104,000 microinstallations (up to 50 kWp) were installed in Poland. The paper determines the energy gain and the associated reduction of CO2 emissions for two types of solar installation located in Poland. The monofacial solar modules with a power of 5.04 kWp (located in Leki) and bifacial solar modules with a power of 6.1 kWp (located in Bydgoszcz). Both installations use mono-crystalline Si-based 1st generation PV cells. With comparable insolation, a bifacial installation produces approx. 10% (for high insolation) to 28% (for low insolation) more energy than a monofacial PV installation. Avoided annual CO2 emission in relation to the installation capacity ranges from 0.58 to 0.64 Mg/kWp for monofacial and from 0.68 to 0.74 Mg/kWp for bifacial and is on average approx. 16% higher for bifacial installations. Cost-benefit analyses were made. For different electricity prices, the NPV for monofacial and bifacial was determined.

An electrical installation is a series of electrical installation equipment that connects an conductor with the electrical equipment used (consumers). The protection factor (safety) is a consideration that must be considered in designing an electrical installation so that it can be used optimally, effectively, efficiently, safely, properly and correctly while ensuring fire safety, of course in accordance with the General Requirements for Electrical Installation (PUIL) 2011. Touch voltage, which means that if a live wire is touched or held on a cable that is stripped of its insulation, then we will be electrocuted. Therefore, in the installation of electrical installations, there must be additional safety besides the Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB). The additional safeguards are the neutral point (ground) ground and the Earth Leakege Circuit Breaker (ELCB). Electrical installations that use Earth Leakege Circuit Breaker (ELCB) safety must install a neutral point (Ground) ground as a condition for the Earth Leakege Circuit Breaker (ELCB) to work properly and correctly, meaning that if there is a touch voltage we will not be electrocuted, because the MCB and The ELCB will be disconnected (Trip) simultaneously.

This article describes the theories and practices of the German installation artists and composers Sabine Schäfer and Joachim Krebs. Much of their work concerns site-specific sound installations involving the articulation of time and space. Their principal work methods and materials are described. In addition, they have formulated a typology of five installation types which they describe using their own installations as examples. Each installation type responds to a particular set of aesthetic and practical challenges both for the artists and the visitors. These are discussed and illustrated in the article. The typology extends beyond the specific work of these artists and can be applied to installations in general, thus providing a framework for critical analysis. Furthermore, the translators have discussed the issues regarding the specialised vocabulary of the artists and the rendering of such language into English.

Abstract:
In the installation process of large-scale external cladding, the labor intensity is high, and it is dangerous and hard to guarantee good construction quality. In view of these issues, this study designs a construction robot for external cladding installation, as a better solution. First, the advantages and disadvantages of the current building external cladding hanging process are discussed. The components, suitable for automatic installation, are selected to develop an automatic installation process for the building external cladding. According to the process steps and installation action flow, the installation robot is first adjusted. After the design of a step-by-step workflow of positioning and installation, a robot with a six-degree-of-freedom string-mixing mechanism is designed. Finally, a prototype of the proposed external cladding installation robot is developed, and the system is experimentally verified under simulation conditions and real operation. The test results show that the external cladding installation robot system has a strong theoretical basis. The series-parallel hybrid six-degree-of-freedom structure is reasonable, design wise. It helps to complete the automatic installation of the building external cladding and improve the automation level of large-scale plate installations.

Abstract:
Sound and media installations are rarely considered from a time-based, formal perspective. In order to enable a greater understanding of temporal form in sound installations, I suggest a cross-disciplinary adaptation of musical form to the installation context. Due to the differences between concert and installation presentation practices – including, but not limited to, the increased agency of the mobile visitor – I re-examine form in installation contexts as the particular temporal experience co-produced by the first-person subject as they navigate in, through and out of the work’s frame. By applying this musical perspective to macro-scale formal structures, a set of tools and concepts become available for the analysis of temporal form in existing sound or audiovisual installations. Using practice-based observation and analysis, I describe several compositional strategies through which musical concepts of material and form can be extended in space and time: each of these strategies provides means with which to shape or constrain the visitor’s co-production of experiential form. Finally, I discuss several strategies that can be used for the creation of large-scale form, with particular reference to algorithmic design principles used in my recent audiovisual installation, Room Dynamics.

Where water resources are limited, rainwater harvesting (RWH) can provide on-site access to improved water sources. Community institutions are uniquely positioned to benefit from RWH; advocates have encouraged the installation of community-based RWH systems as a way to ameliorate water supply insufficiencies in low-income settings. However, poor quality RWH system installations and insufficient attention to management support have resulted in sustainability challenges, necessitating a commitment to higher standards for community-based RWH. Spurred on by an iterative learning cycle and commitment to innovation, the Ugandan Water Project has achieved RWH system design, installation, and management practices that are well adapted to Ugandan institutions. By investing in a professional crew, high-quality materials, and post-installation support, the Ugandan Water Project has achieved 96 per cent functionality two years after installation. The professionalized approach that the Ugandan Water Project employs can be used as a model to guide future RWH system installations in Uganda and elsewhere.

Abstract:
The paper presents a new approach to the design of resource-saving pressure swing adsorption (PSA) installations for hydrogen recovery, which ensures a safe flow rate in the frontal layer of the block adsorbent using optimal programs for multi-stage smooth opening of the valves of the installation. The safe flow rate of 0.3 m/s was determined experimentally, which practically eliminates the abrasion of the adsorbent during the PSA process. An iterative algorithm was proposed to reduce the problem of optimal installation design to the problem of nonlinear programming. A number of optimization problems of design of the installation with a capacity of 100-4000 l/min STP and a hydrogen purity of 99.99%+ were solved using the example of a hydrogen 4-bed 4-step vacuum PSA. The optimal combinations of mode and design parameters of the PSA installation and the trends of their changes depending on capacity were determined. An exhaustive comparative analysis of PSA installations designed according to a new and traditional approach was carried out. It was found that installations designed according to the new approach secure a greater profit from hydrogen production by an average of 28.3% due to lower energy consumption for hydrogen production and weight and size characteristics (the length of the adsorbent layer and the inner diameter of the adsorber) compared to installations that are designed according to the traditional approach

Abstract:
The existing and currently used technical devices for carrying out operations of bonitation and artificial insemination of sheep are metal-intensive and bulky structures. An installation for bonitization, veterinary care and artificial insemination of small cattle with a neck retainer was designed at the Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University. The article describes an installation consisting of a frame, a lifting mechanism with a rotary axis. The countertop frame is raised to the required height by means of a screw mechanism and a rotation lever. The versatility of the installation when performing veterinary care operations is ensured by the possibility of lifting and rotating the table top frame on the rack around the axis of the bracket using a rotary mechanism. To ensure the immobility of the animal, a neck retainer is attached to the installation. To substantiate the design parameters of the installation, anatomical measurements of animals of the same age group were carried out and average values were determined. Taking into account the average results of measurements of animal parameters, experimental installations were manufactured and tested on the basis of the veterinary clinic of the West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan. The test plan included the determination of the functional capabilities of the installation and chronometric measurements of the bonitation operations: determination of the type of animal; color; density; length and quality of wool; equalization of the fleece; the size and shape of the kurdyuk; live weight with animals recorded on the experimental installation and the average obtained average values are given. The technology of artificial insemination operation by the proposed installation is described. Production tests of the proposed installations have shown wide versatility, ease of operation, good functional qualities, according to veterinary specialists, allow additional sampling of animal blood for analysis, vaccination and immunization of animals.

Abstract:
This paper presents theoretical considerations and working parameters analyzes of hydrotransport during unstable flow. The variable flow of hydraulic mixture in installations causes unsteady operation and pipes spraying, pump damage, obturation in various sections of the pipeline, reduced capacity as well as higher operating costs. Using mathematical equations presented in this paper, such parameters of the hydraulic mixture, hydrotransport installation and control devices can be determined which protect system from possible clogging. Considering the fact that critical speed of hydraulic mixture depends on transported material grain size, mixture volume mass, diameter of pipeline and specific gravity of solid phase, it is possible to accurately analyze obturation in hydrotransport installations depending on those parameters. In order to prevent hydraulic impacts in hydrotransport installation pipelines, which value can be determined mathematically, it is necessary to adjust installation to hydromixture parameters and pump, or vice versa.

Steam compression installations operating from electric energy are widely used in the world for air conditioning. This type of installation has a number of disadvantages, and therefore a new air conditioning installation has been proposed. Ab-sorption heat transformer is an air conditioning and hot water installation based on the principle of an absorption heat pump. The installation can also be used for heating. The installation is able to use renewable energy sources or utilize the heat of exhaust gases as heat sources: for example, from a heating boiler with a temperature of up to 115 °C. The practical significance of the installation lies in resource conservation and environmental friendliness. The use of this installation will ultimately reduce the consumption of primary fuel and reduce the negative impact on the environ-ment. The paper considers the possibility of using a lithium bromide solution in an absorption heat transformer for resi-dential premises. For this purpose, a number of calculations were carried out, according to the calculation method of ab-sorption refrigerating lithium bromide machines. As a result of the calculations, it was established that the use of lithium bromide solution is satisfactory for use in a household heat absorption transformer. However, in order to achieve greater efficiency, the installation scheme requires refinement.

Abstract:
BackgroundMotor vehicle crashes are the third-leading cause of death to American children aged 1–5 years. When installed correctly, child restraints (car seats) reduce risk of serious injury and death. However, most restraints are installed incorrectly. The current gold standard for correct installation is systematic car seat checks, where certified technicians help parents, but car seat checks are highly underused due to barriers in access, scheduling and resources.MethodsThe present study protocol describes plans to evaluate use of interactive virtual presence technology (interactive merged reality)—joint, simultaneous remote verbal and visual interaction and exposure to the same 3D stimuli—to assist remotely located parents installing child restraints. If effective, this technology could supplement or replace in-person checks and revolutionise how government, industry and non-profits help parents install child restraints properly. Building from preliminary studies, we propose a randomised non-inferiority trial to evaluate whether parents who install child restraints while communicating with remote expert technicians via interactive virtual presence on their smartphones achieve installations and learning not inferior in safety to parents who install restraints with on-site technicians. We will randomly assign 1476 caregivers at 7 US sites to install child restraints either via interactive virtual presence or live technicians. Correctness of installation will be assessed using objective checklists, both following installation and again 4 months later.ConclusionWe aim to demonstrate that child restraint installation is accurate (>90% correct) when conducted remotely, that such installations are not inferior to installation accuracy with live experts and that parents learn and retain information about child restraint installation.

Abstract:
Feminist installation art in contemporary China is one of the most dynamic and controversial trends in Chinese contemporary art. It reflects the complex processes of social, political and cultural transformation that have been taking place in China in recent decades. Feminist installations express critical attitudes towards traditional gender roles, national identity, environmental issues and globalization. However, feminist installation art in contemporary China has not received sufficient scholarly coverage and analysis in domestic and foreign literature. Existing studies are often limited to describing individual works or female artists without considering the historical, cultural, and social contexts in which this trend is formed and developed. In addition, many feminist installations have a complex semiotic structure that requires a deep and multidimensional interpretive approach. The expected outcome of the article is a comprehensive and multilevel study of feminist installation art in contemporary China, which will allow for a better understanding and appreciation of its significance.

Abstract:
This paper considers the early work of Alvin Lucier and its often problematic positioning between concert and installation work as a means of questioning how installation might be defined. Following an introductory survey of Lucier's work, a history of installation in the visual arts is traced through the debate, initiated by Michael Fried, on the ‘theatricality’ of minimalism. Fried's condemnation of the role of the viewer in what he termed ‘literalist’ art became, contrary to his intentions, a central element in thinking about installation work. Fried's position was recently engaged again by Hal Foster in positing a particular phenomenology of minimalist work, which is seen to be directly relevant to the example of Lucier. Having thus established the relevance of this phenomenology to the consideration of sound installations, whether they are themselves minimal works or not, discussion returns to the problematic example of Lucier, and the conclusion that the boundary between concert and installation works may always be permeable, that a precise morphology of installation will remain elusive.
