Abstract:
Abstract This article is a contribution to scientific research on this aspect of Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar’s musical output which concerns the connections between her music and other arts, primarily literature and the visual arts, as well as inspirations flowing from nature, religion, philosophy, and broadly understood culture. The article applies structuralist methodology. The starting point for the analysis of the phenomena in question is the musical work itself, its title and its structure, and in the case of vocal-instrumental works - the content and message of the literary text and the person of its author. In the part of the article which deals with the biography and artistic personality of Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar, as well as by quoting the composer’s own statements in the text, I draw on the personalistic method, especially highly valued in 20th-century philosophy; this method emphasises the role of the human person and personality in analytic work. In the musicological literature to date there exists no separate, large-scale study dedicated to the subject of non-musical inspirations in the works of Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar. This topic has been tackled, however, in scientific dissertations dealing with various aspects of the composer’s work. For example, inspirations from the sphere of the sacrum have been indicated by Marek Stefański (2011), whereas Ewa Mizerska-Golonek (1992) writes about inspirations derived from the Biblical text in Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar’s Song of Songs, and Hanna Kostrzewska (2012) discusses painting as a source of inspiration in the composer’s oeuvre. The main source of information on this subject, however, are the composer’s own statements: her ‘Autorefleksja kompozytorska’ [‘The Composer’s Self-Commentary’]K. Moszumańska-Nazar, ‘Autorefleksja kompozytorska’ [‘The Composer’s Self-Commentary’], in K. Kasperek, Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar. Abstract:
Inspiration has been an under-studied phenomenon in the interpretation field. This paper presents the results of a systematic literature review of psychological literature related to inspiration, revealing nine characteristics of inspiration. Of particular interest was the contrasting meanings of inspiration as inspired by and inspired to, and that inspiration is transmissible, positive, individual, transcendent, unexpected, and holistic, and requires receptivity, which may be cultivated. Each characteristic was related to the field of interpretation in practice. After this review of the literature, we propose that giving consideration to inspiration-based interpretation may provide useful insights for practice as a constructivist approach to interpretation. Further exploration into the topic is warranted.

Abstract:
This article deals with the connections between the assimilation of certain shamanic practices related to Romantic inspiration in English literature. The interest in the world of altered states of consciousness as a manifestation of the sacred is typical among Romantic writers in nineteenth-century England. These writers in fact sought the manifestation of the world of dreams by means of ingesting substances that alter consciousness, thus assimilating a practice that is likewise and primarily shamanic. This search is the object under investigation in this article, which aims at showing that, despite conspicuous cultural differences, there are indeed similarities that pervade shamanic practices and the Romantic ideal in their quests toward the sacred.

This paper is an overview of the diverse ways in which the phenomena of astronomy have penetrated and enriched culture (e.g. the pumpernickel in a loaf of marble rye). Humans have always been able to keep the universe in their heads, but that universe has grown from the proximate, sheltering canopy of stars to a vast panoply of planets, stars, galaxies and cosmic cataclysms. These phenomena have inspired and insinuated themselves into the humanities, literature, the visual and performing arts and new forms of expression made possible by computers and the Internet. This multimedia tour attempts to recapitulate and encapsulate the INSAP concept.

Abstract:
Though treated marginally in histories of philosophy and criticism, Byron was deeply involved in Romantic-Period controversies. In that post-Enlightenment, science-orientated age, the Platonic-Romantic concept of inspiration as divine afflatus linking the prophet-priest-poet with the ideal world beyond was no longer tenable without an admixture of doubt that turned religion into myth. As a seriously-minded Romantic sceptic in the Pyrrhonian tradition and commuter between the genres of sensibility and satire, Byron often refers to the prophet-poet concept, acting it out in pre-Decadent poses of inspiration, yet undercutting it with his typical Romantic Irony. In contrast to Goethe, who insisted on an inspired poet's sanity, he saw inspiration both as a social distinction and as a pathological norm deviation. The more imaginative and poetical the creation, the more insane is the poet's mind; the more realistic and prosaic, the more compos it is, though an active poet is never quite sane in the sense of Coleridge's ‘depression’, meaning his non-visitation by his ‘shaping spirit of imagination’.

Abstract:
Today as in the past, artists often produce works of art to foster civic agendas of one sort or another, sometimes affirming and sometimes critiquing contemporary attitudes. To what degree is engaging with civically inflected art likely to have the desired impact? We develop an analogy between the work of Ellen Winner and colleagues questioning the impact of studying art on performance in other academic areas. We suggest that, in many cases of civically inflected art, transfer of the desired message is implausible, recognizing difficulties of changing people’s minds in general, of how art specifically might do so, and how superficially art is often engaged. We urge that civically impactful encounters with art, which certainly occur, require not just a landing pad character—the impact deriving from imbibing the work—but rather a launching pad character—the work functioning as a starting point for discussion, reflection, and exploration.

While the idea of inspiration spans the history of the field, inspiration as a topic has been an under-studied phenomenon in the interpretation field. Thirty-three professional interpreters from 21 agencies across North America participated in dialog on the topic of inspiration in interpretation through Internet-based World Café sessions. The dialog was rich and thoughtful, and revealed that these interpreters believed that inspiration is the goal of interpretation and that the nine characteristics of inspiration identified in the literature and reviewed in our prior publication were relevant to interpretation: that inspiration is two-sided, transmissible, positive, individual, transcendent, unexpected, holistic, requires receptivity, and receptivity may be cultivated. Identified barriers to using an inspiration-based approach in interpretation included meeting the needs of agencies, and particularly the agency’s needs for quantitative measurements of attendance and impacts.

Abstract:
The subject of our research in this paper are aspects of religious spirituality in contemporary Serbian poetry. First, we give an overview of poetic, ideological and cultural characteristics of poetic production in the last three decades, with certain value categorizations. We then direct our attention to the individual poetics of poets born in the seventies and eighties, whose poetry has a proven presence of Christian inspiration. Our goal is to establish a literary-historical and culturally distinct poetic flow and situate it within the History of Modern and Contemporary Serbian literature, predominantly secular. The focus of our analysis is not exclusively quotes, narratives or motifs from the Bible and patristic literature. We examine how Christian (Serbian-Byzantine and Western-Christian) spirituality participates in the formation of an individual poetic view of the world, as well as poetic spirituality that manifests itself through poetic images, expressions and figures. We are interested in the work of the religious consciousness of our poets in shaping their artistic, moral and value attitudes towards the phenomena of our epoch, but also towards the culture to which they belong. Therefore, we analyse the cultural models that these poets embrace in their poetry, as well as the humanistic messages that they place within their immanent poetics. We come to the conclusion that male and female poets, with their poetic and spiritual commitment, have taken the risk of deciding to give up poetry as a form of social engagement, aware in advance of the burden of the alternative and the minority.

How are information and inspiration connected? Answering this question can help information professionals facilitate the pathways to inspiration. Inspiration has previously been conceptualized as a goal or mode of information seeking, but this says little about the nature of inspiration or how it is experienced. In this study, we explore the connection between information and inspiration through a qualitative approach, using the museum as our setting; specifically, the researchers’ own visits to three separate museums. We use collaborative auto-hermeneutics, a methodology specifically suited to such a reflexive exploration, to document and analyze three individual museum visits. The following research questions were the main driver for this exploratory study: What is inspiration, and How are inspiration and information related? In answer, we present an inductive definition of inspiration as a kind of information, and we discuss how this definition fits in with the information science literature as well as offer some practical applications.

Abstract:
As the world is trying to discover what the shape of the much-needed next economy and socio-economy will be, this study attempts to explore the possibility of a framework that would address holistically the different inspiration economy driven constructs that have already been presented by researchers and authors. With the development of humanity and the fast pace of a knowledge-based economy, inspiration is becoming an ever more essential factor for the development of any socio-economy.The study of the inspiration economy framework by the knowledge community is still in its infancy, especially if the need for deeper work, as explored in the work of Thrash and Elliot (2010, 2004, 2003) and the Handbook of Inspiration Economy by Buheji and Thomas (2016), are acknowledged. A review of the literature shows that the body of knowledge has not so far established a robust theoretical framework that will guide researchers from a holistic perspective and demonstrate how the inspiration economy can be approached by researchers. This study aims to address a general question: how the inspiration economy can be approached by researchers. In seeking an answer to this question, the paper has two objectives: 1) to review how researchers are seeing the constructs of the inspiration economy framework, taking into account the available literature; 2) to develop recommendations about the research that would contribute towards unleashing the constructs of the coming inspiration economy. Finally, a set of conclusions is presented. This offers a better understanding of the inspiration economy with the aim of improving future research that would, in turn, enhance both discussions on and knowledge of the subject.

Abstract:
Background: This study was motivated by the need to invigorate research on inspiration, especially within the domain of management. The authors’ objective was to devise a unifying structure for theory building and provide an overview of emergent constructs on inspiration research. Thus, the incremental contribution of the study is that the authors reviewed extant relevant literature and enhanced the focus on research on inspiration in management. Methods: We performed a literature search on empirical studies on inspiration from 15 June to 31 August 2022. We retrieved English articles published between 2003 and 2022. The information sources were Ebscohost, ProQuest, Science Direct, and Scopus. Risk of bias was assessed regarding review methods and the relevance of review to the research questions. We developed a data extraction sheet for the data collection process, considering the systematic review goals to ensure that all the pertinent data was retrieved. Results: Six out of 224 articles were identified for the final review. The excluded articles did not meet the either one or all of the inclusion criteria. The results revealed that there is a vast knowledge gap awaiting empirical research which can have a far-reaching impact on society and management; for instance, the impact of inspiration on performance and the role of moderators such as spirituality, visioning capability, gender variation, and linguistic proficiency. Conclusion: This study recommends that research on inspiration focuses to crystallize inspiration as a construct, identify various dimensions of inspiration, and then firm up a general theory of inspiration with robust empirical evidence. There is a need to expand the scope of the IS by developing and trying out newer competing scales.

Abstract:
Social media has been used as a marketing tool by architecture firms to generate purchase intention. However, inspiration as a motivating internal response is needed to achieve the marketing objective. This study aims to examine the effect of utilitarian content, hedonic content, and openness as antecedents of customer inspiration, the effect of customer inspiration on purchase intention, and the mediating role of customer inspiration between antecedents and purchase intention. A total of 395 respondents were taken as samples using simple random sampling, and the data was then analyzed with SmartPLS. Results show that utilitarian content, hedonic content, and openness positively affect customer inspiration, and customer inspiration positively affects purchase intentions. Additionally, customer inspiration also mediates the effect of utilitarian content, hedonic content, and openness on purchase intentions. This study contributes to the literature on customer inspiration from a customer-firm relationship perspective. Moreover, this study can give insight for architectural firms to effectively practice social media marketing by focusing on creating customer inspiration through the content provided and targeting the right potential customers in order to generate architectural design service purchase intention.

Abstract:
Drawn by the dedication of Joyce Carol Oates’s story “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?” to Bob Dylan and motivated by her later admission regarding the inspiration of Dylan’s song “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” to write the story, the study examines how the song has transmitted its imprints on the story. Inspiration is the theoretical framework for the study, which has been diversely explained by various theorists incorporating its elusive nature. However, they have a common understanding of its role as a necessary condition for creativity. This inquiry synthesizes the literature associated with the song and the story, analyzes the theories related to creative inspiration, and scrutinizes the reiteration of evidence from the seminal song in the story. The reiteration of context, character, and imagery of the song in the story infers the whole story as literary cloning of the song. Ultimately, the study contributes to understanding how a form of art facilitates the audience not only offering joy but also inspiring them for their further creative process and how the seminal work reappears as metamorphosis.

Abstract:
Customer inspiration is gaining scholars attention in the marketing literature. Thus, the main objective of this study is to highlight on customer inspiration in the online shopping context, and this could be by examining the role of augmented reality (AR) in promoting customer inspiration. Minimal number of research have studied the effect of two critical dimensions of AR which are environmental embedding and simulated physical control on customer inspiration. Thus, this research will bridge this gap by conducting a quantitative study that empirically validates the effect of these two important variables on customer inspiration. Besides, this will open new insights for the future research to explore other variables and better understand AR. In addition, few studies have validated the theory of processing fluency in the AR context. Hence, this study will close the gap and investigate the role of perceptual fluency as a mediator to the relationship between AR and customer inspiration

Abstract:
When the term ‘Literature’ is announced, from every students of literature to the common man’s first thought is William Shakespeare. He had created a castle of fame for himself and also for English Literature. It was all possible because of his innovative techniques which have contributed to the literature. He was the first one who broke the ancient aspects and paved the way for creativity and innovations which has laid a strong foundation, as its fame still has an impact on today’s modern world. It is a known fact that every modernist and today’s literature student gets their inspiration from Shakespeare when they want to contribute to literature creatively. His contribution and fame still stand today, because he broke the barriers when classic literature was dominant, even the Royals at that time wouldn’t utter a word against it. His innovative techniques mainly included language, unfiltered emotions, priority to women, exhibiting drama promptly, introducing new techniques, allowing the audience to be part of it, and so on. These were all the concrete inspirations for today’s modern literature techniques. Thus, Shakespeare stands as an epitome of creativity and innovation in literature.

Abstract:
American novelist and playwright Thornton Wilder’s lifelong attraction to and passion for if not obsession with the work of James Joyce has led to unintended consequences. Wilder was writing what would become his second Pulitzer Prize winning play, The Skin of Our Teeth, while in the midst of “unriddling” Joyce’s final novel, Finnegans Wake. Accusations of plagiarism would subsequently arise from two major Joyce scholars, Joseph Campbell and Henry Morton Robinson as they raised questions about the tipping point in creative practice, the point at which common practices of textual influence and reference cross the line into excessive borrowings and plagiarism. Such accusations, which Wilder failed to acknowledge and to fully address in a timely fashion, have lingered to his discredit and have obscured his achievements both as a playwright and a major scholar of experimental literature with a particular emphasis on James Joyce. The essay details the need to return to and to reassess the issues of Wilder’s creative practice within the current theoretical climate of intertextuality and thus to reassess Wilder’s pioneering work on both Ulysses and Finnegans Wake.

Abstract:
Because young people are the protagonists in their stories, and because they are written to give a sense of hope and inspiration for the possibilities life holds, children’s literature challenges the prevailing idea that it is success on reading tests that will determine success in life. The books that are reviewed in this section are selected because they focus on characters, young and grown, human and fantastic, who exhibit characteristics that cannot be measured on tests: courage, humanity, ingenuity, a sense of humor, and kindness. They tell readers of the power of family, of friendship, of most especially, of story, in their lives.
