Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to develop a new methodological approach to the analysis of innovative activity of enterprises of the agro-industrial complex in order to ensure their sustainable economic development, taking into account the factors of economic growth. Research methods. The scientific provisions on planning innovation activities and analysis of innovative processes (the essence and content of innovation activity of enterprises are justified), modeling and organization of innovation activity, forecasting its results in economic systems (modern trends in the development of methods for analyzing and assessing innovation activity of enterprises in the system activity), as well as general scientific methods of cognition: systemic (formulated the problems of assessing the innovative activity of enterprises from the standpoint of ensuring their sustainable development and determining potential ways to solve them), complex (analysis of the parameters of the innovative activity of domestic enterprises), abstract-logical (the influence of environmental factors on the innovative activity of the enterprise is analyzed), functional and structural-level research methods (the relationship of internal factors of the enterprise's innovative activity is considered), methods of analysis and synthesis (the relationship of the internal factors of the enterprise's innovative activity is analyzed), evolutionary and historical approaches (the relationship of the factors of the enterprise's innovative activity with the parameters of its sustainable development is considered). Research results. The methodological foundations of the innovative activity of agro-industrial complex enterprises have been theoretically substantiated as the degree of intensity of their actions on the creation and development (practical implementation) of innovations in the context of rapidly changing external conditions and tough market competition. Despite the high cost of mistakes in the innovative development of agricultural enterprises, the analysis of the innovative activity of an enterprise is an important tool for ensuring their sustainable economic development. Scientific novelty. The elements of scientific novelty lie in the theoretical substantiation and experimental confirmation of a new methodological approach to the analysis of the innovative activity of agricultural enterprises in order to ensure their sustainable economic development. This makes it possible to determine the tools for intensifying the activities of enterprises through building up and productive use of intellectual potential. The concept of “innovative activity of enterprises” is clarified and it is shown that this is one of the main characteristics of their innovative activity. The composition of the parameters of innovative activity of enterprises has been improved and a set of factors stimulating and restraining the innovative activity of agricultural enterprises has been determined. On the basis of the conducted analytical studies, the interrelation and power of the mutual influence of factors of innovative activity of enterprises, as well as the relationship of these factors with the parameters of sustainable economic development, were revealed. Practical significance of the article lies in the possibility of using its provisions and conclusions when analysing the relationship of internal factors of innovative activity of an enterprise, as well as when analysing the relationship between factors of innovative activity of agricultural enterprises with an assessment of the sustainability of their market development. The proposed set of methodological recommendations makes it possible to assess the innovative activity of an enterprise in the interests of its sustainable economic development. Tabl.: 2. Refs.: 22.

Abstract:
The object of study is an innovative enterprise and an enterprise with innovation. The purpose of the work is to analyze and differentiate the concepts of «innovation enterprise» and «enterprise with innovation». Research method - method of comparison, method of analysis. To date, the concept of innovative enterprise is not fully formed, the opinions of scientists on this issue are characterized by ambiguity and controversy. In order to understand in more detail what an innovative enterprise is, we suggest comparing it with the enterprises that use innovation in their activities and to analyze the common and opposite features, and to consider the similarity and difference between them through the concepts of innovation and to what extent affect the delimitation of the respective enterprises. Therefore, in the context of economic knowledge, innovation plays a significant role. Innovation is increasingly becoming a critical prerequisite for developing a highly productive, competitive and growing economy that is able to generate high value-added exports of goods and services and integrate into global value chains. Abstract:
The paper discusses scientific arguments and counterarguments about companies’ innovative activity, size, and geographic location of the sales market. The study’s foremost purpose is to empirically check if theoretical statements about a company’s size, export, and innovative activity are associated. Therefore, the questions discussed in this paper are a) Does an enterprise-size matter an enterprise innovation activity? b) Is there is a difference in innovation activity by Classification of Economic Activities (NACE groups)? c) Does the geographic location of the sales market matter the company's innovation activity? The research questions are discussed based on Armenian firm-level data. The findings could be applied mainly to the microeconomic environment of Armenia. The study involved R programming language Wilcoxon test, ANOVA, Tukey test, and Chi-square test are applied. The obtained results showed that the enterprise’s size does not matter an enterprise’s innovative activity. Even though larger companies have more resources to innovate, smaller companies are more flexible and agile. Therefore, the enterprise size is not a limiting factor. The results showed that the companies in some fields of the economy are more prone to innovate than others. In Armenia, most innovative enterprises operate in the group M-Professional, scientific and technical activities and the group C-Manufacturing. The research empirically confirms that when considering a company’s innovative activity, the sphere of the economy in which it operates has statistically significant importance in contrast with the company’s size. The findings by the Chi-Square test showed that a significantly higher number of EU exporting companies had made innovations. In contrast, companies selling their products/services in the local market have made significantly fewer innovations than expected if there would be no association between innovations and the geographic location of the sales market. Therefore, the exporting companies are more innovative than those that sell their products in the local market. Besides, the most innovative firms are EU exporting enterprises. In empiric studies, export is used as a proxy of international competitiveness due to its ability to show a country’s capacity in producing and selling in the international market. Therefore, the analysis of Armenian firm-level data showed the association between innovation and international competitiveness.

Abstract:
The paper reveals interrelations between the concepts “economic security”, “economic sustainability”, “development” and “competitiveness” of an enterprise. Based on their consideration, the paper enhances theoretical and methodological principles of establishing competitive innovation development and economic security of an enterprise. Unlike the existing ones, these principles provide for not only alternativeness but also equal significance when choosing between achievement of high levels of competitiveness, development and economic security. Application of the elaborated suggestions enables more objective formation of the policy of management of an enterprise’s innovation development under unstable conditions considering the industrial field and the market position of the enterprise. It is proven that essential elements of enterprises’ sustainable development include innovative activity, production provision, export of science-intensive products and development of high technology services, this providing for efficient levels of enterprises’ economic security and competitiveness. Under conditions of uncertainty, there are some basic functions of an enterprise aimed at enhancing its competitiveness and economic security including the following: achieving the optimal level of an enterprise’s resulting indicators and efficient “income-risk” ratio, innovative activity, ensuring the quality of an enterprise’s intellectual capital, environmental safety and meeting required social standards.

Abstract:
Introduction. It is proved that the role of innovation efficiency is significant for high- tech enterprises and is growing for the economy as a whole. However, evaluation of the efficiency of investment in innovation, which is used in practice, does not take into account sufficiently the features of the innovation process, which leads to a high proportion of false decisions and lack of the commercial outcome of innovations. To increase the efficiency of innovative activities of enterprises, new requirements are put forward to improve the mechanism of selection of innovative projects during their internal examination. The purpose of the study is to deepen the methodological approaches to assess the effectiveness of innovation performance of enterprises and improve the mechanism of examination of innovative projects.Research methods. The article used general scientific and specific research methods, in particular: analysis and synthesis - to improve the interpretation of the concept of “innovative activity of the enterprise”; system approach - to clarify the economic meaning of the concepts of “management of innovative activities of the enterprise”, “efficiency of innovative activities of the enterprise”; graphic - for visual representation of statistical material and illustration of theoretical and practical provisions; expert assessment - to determine the effectiveness of innovative activities of the enterprise. Results of the research. In the course the evaluation of the efficiency of investments in the innovation project predetermines processing of expert assessments applying special tools, which involves checking the conditions of consistency and consensus of experts’ ideas. The final stage of the expertise involves making a decision on selection of one or several innovation projects for implementation in the conditions of the enterprise under consideration. It is established that the basis of selection should be the rating of the innovation project, the cost of its implementation and the budget of the enterprise’s innovation development. The final decision on the appropriateness of introduction of the innovation project does not require rigid formalization, but should be taken by senior management board of the enterprise as a result of qualitative assessment of the efficiency of investment in innovation projects.Perspectives. In future research, we plan to develop an algorithm for evaluating and selecting innovative projects during its examination at the enterprise level; to investigate the methodological tools for evaluating the effectiveness of innovative activities of enterprises.

Abstract:
The key factor influencing radical structural changes in the economy is innovation. In this regard, the question arises about the assessment of the ability of industrial enterprises to innovate, i.e. innovation potential, which refers to the totality of resources needed to implement innovation. Innovation potential contains a number of components, depending on the type of economic activity of an economic entity. Based on the analysis of existing methods of assessing the innovative potential of industrial enterprises, most often the assessment is limited to the methodology of expert assessments, which is subjective and does not reflect the real situation. The classification of the components of innovation potential and a set of indicators that assess its state are not sufficiently presented. The article presents a set of indicators for assessing the innovative potential of the enterprise and the classification of enterprises in terms of innovation potential. And in conclusion, the algorithm of the proposed methodology for assessing the innovative potential of the enterprise is presented.

Abstract:
The article investigates and highlights the approaches to defining the concept of “enterprise restructuring” depending on the state of its development strategy, substantiates the economic essence of the concept of “innovation” and “innovative activity “. Based on the combination of characteristics and essence of these concepts, the definition of “innovative restructuring” is formalized and the author’s definition is proposed. It is determined that innovative restructuring is practiced not so much in crisis enterprises as in enterprises that operate stably and seek radical quality change. When making changes, the main ones should be the innovative orientation of management systems, production flexibility, purposeful and effective innovations. It is proved that for effective and complex innovative restructuring it is necessary to improve the enterprise management system by developing and implementing new principles, methods and management structures. That is why the elements of the mechanism of innovative restructuring of the enterprise were singled out and the functions of innovative restructuring were defined and detailed, which allowed to improve the conceptual and categorical apparatus of this economic concept. It is proved that the condition for effective implementation of innovations in the framework of restructuring is the presence of innovative potential in the enterprise. In addition, the transition of the enterprise from one stage of development to another involves the gradual development of innovation potential. This explains the close relationship and mutual influence between innovative restructuring and the innovative potential of the enterprise. Thus, the achievement of goals in the process of enterprise restructuring will depend on the ability to form an effective system of innovation management and the level of innovation potential of the enterprise – its ability to achieve innovative goals.

Purpose. The aim of the article is generalization of theoretical and methodological approaches to determining the effectiveness of innovative activities of the enterprise, the study of requirements, criteria and evaluation indicators. Methodology of research. General scientific and special methods are used in the course of research, in particular: monographic, analysis and synthesis – at research of concept of efficiency of innovative activity and approaches to its estimation; system analysis – in determining the state of innovation in industrial enterprises; tabular – for visual presentation of the analysed statistical data; abstract and logical – in determining the possible areas of innovative activity of enterprises of different sizes. Findings. There is an unstable trend of increasing the share of industrial enterprises that have implemented innovations (products and / or technological processes) in the total number of industrial enterprises, and an increase in the cost of innovative activity for the analysed period. It is determined that the best result is observed when implementing new or significantly improved low-waste, resource-saving technological processes, which indicates the dominance of process innovations. It is proved that the main source of funding for innovative activity is the own funds of enterprises, whose costs are growing annually and whose share is 87.7%. At the same time, most funds were spent on the purchase of machinery, software and equipment, iюeю on the renewal of material and technical base and modernization. There is an increase in the number of profitable enterprises, which indicates an increase in efficiency, as well as an increase in operating profitability and all activities of enterprises, but much higher rates are typical for micro and small enterprises, indicating their higher innovation activity and efficiency of modern development. Originality. Methodological approaches to determining the effectiveness of innovative development of enterprises have been improved, which, unlike existing ones, are based on incurred costs for innovation, volumes and sources of funding, reinvestment of profits, innovation activity, share of innovative products and increase profitability to substantiate possible directions of innovative development and implementation of measures to implement the results of research and development, taking into account the specifics and size of the business entities, the state and dynamics of the internal and external environment. Abstract:
The most important motivating factor for enhancing innovation activity is lending as a stimulus for the development of a modern enterprise. The motivation of the Ukrainian enterprise, based on the need for innovative activity lending in ensuring the efficiency of its economic activity, was explored. The authors use different methods of research, for example, analysis and synthesis methods, method of scientific substantiation and comparison of the main indicators of the activity of the investigated enterprise, as well as correlation and regression analysis method. Here is also used the method of correlation and regression analysis to determine the effect of changes in the average annual cost of fixed assets and investments in their modernization on the motivation to increase revenue from the sale of products (goods, products, services), as well as to characterize the functional relationship between income from the sales of products and capital, expenses, investments. The results of the study indicate a close relationship between the indicators, thus there is a high dependence on the increase of the volume of income from the sale of products due to the need to attract financing in the form of lending to innovative products of the investigated enterprise.Lending of innovative activity contributes to the increase of sales volumes and the emergence of its new products, and also serves as a form of strengthening the motivation of enterprise development. As a result of the research, the theoretical principles of using Ukrainian enterprise motivational space with lending involvement for the introduction of innovations have been substantiated.

Abstract The development and implementation of innovations are becoming integral functions of a modern industrial enterprise. The author has developed an author’s approach to assessing the innovation potential of forest enterprises through the analysis of financial sustainability and the ability to cover their own liabilities to achieve competitive advantages. The methodological research toolkit uses the competitiveness rating of economic entities of the timber industry complex of the Ural region, formed according to several economic indicators of the market segment occupied by the enterprise, the quality of its products, innovation activity and its efficiency, the degree of financial support, innovative research projects and the availability and effectiveness of facilities, as the resulting indicator. The economic profit indicator used to assess the effectiveness of enterprises is positive if the enterprise has managed to earn more than the profitability of similar enterprises, i.e. the enterprise implements innovative projects, which in turn bring additional competitive advantages. The developed approach makes it possible to identify and evaluate the most significant elements of the innovative potential of the enterprise on the basis of the rating assessment, thus allowing to take into account the specific features of the enterprise and its operating conditions.

Purpose: Due to the visible disproportions, the problem of innovation is increasingly often perceived regionally. These inequalities result from the concentration of knowledge, resources and the amount of expenditure on innovation in a few regions. The aim of the paper is to study the spatial dependence between Polish voivodships in terms of expenditure on innovative activities in enterprises in the service sector. Design/methodology/approach: For the selected variable conditioning the innovative activity of the enterprise, a classical econometric model will be built and the necessity to include the spatial factor in the modeling process will be verified. For this purpose, two spatial models will be considered: the spatial error model and spatial lag model. Findings: During the study, the hypothesis on the legitimacy of introducing spatial relationships to the econometric model describing the shaping of the amount of expenditure on innovative activities in enterprises in the service sector in Polish voivodeships was verified. The hypothesis has been verified positively – there are spatial relationships between the examined objects. Research limitations/implications: The need to take into account the spatial factor in the econometric model results in taking into account spatial estimation methods. The research used selected spatial models. Due to the limitations resulting from the availability of source data, the analysis was conducted only for voivodships in selected years. The analysis should be further deepened, e.g., by even more precise identification of the models and taking into account other neighborhood matrices - only the first-order neighborhood matrix was included in the study. Practical implications: Modeling the phenomenon of innovation. Social implications: An essential condition influencing the innovative activity of enterprises is their environment. It is the regional factors that largely influence innovation and faster development of enterprises. Originality/value: Introducing spatial relationships to the econometric model of outlays on innovative activities of enterprises in the service sector.

Abstract:
Our trends, formed in the conditions of active development of the post-industrial economy, dictate the need to apply an innovative approach not only to the development of the manufacturing sector, but also to form the innovative potential of service enterprises, which include trade enterprises. This is due to growing competition, increasing the frequency of new technologies for consuming services, increasing consumer demand. Innovative trade enterprises gain competitive advantages for the ability to expand the geography of service, optimize the speed of order fulfillment, provide a new level of comfort in receiving services, increase the reliability of services provided, and therefore increase customer confidence. The result of the previous review was the production of the most common features of the innovative potential, which are the result of systematization and a previous determination of the criteria for evaluating the potential of innovation. In conclusion, we can say that the innovative potential of the enterprise - is primarily the ability of the enterprise to create, develop and implement innovations. Innovation potential consists of a set of individual elements, each of which affects the resulting trait. Innovative potential is a separate object of management in the structure of strategic management of the enterprise. When assessing the innovation potential, it is advisable to use the necessary and sufficient number of indicators, which recorded the cause of the investigative relationship between the indicator and the result of the enterprise, are differentiated into groups. Obviously, based on the logic of the concept of "innovative potential of a commercial enterprise", the introduction of innovations and updates in the process of economic activity at all stages (from purchase to sale of goods) is evidence of staff knowledge, commercialization of creative ideas and actual potential. Only under these conditions it is possible to form and realize the innovative potential of a commercial enterprise, as well as to satisfy the interests of the consumer.

Abstract:
Innovative processes are the foundation of the current method of management and a means of providing competitive advantages to individual enterprises (firms), industries, regions, countries. Strengthening the innovative orientation of the socio-economic formation of Ukraine seems to be a strategic task of the national financial policy, guidelines for the creation of a competitive state economy. A significant basis for the development of Ukraine’s competitive advantages in the international arena is the innovative activity of industrial production entities. The formation of innovative activities of current enterprises insists on the development of a fresh mechanism of interaction between producers and customers on the basis of coordination of their interests. Creators of innovative ideas and producers of innovative products (services) are obliged to anticipate the need for new goods, to encourage customers to use new technologies and new products in their activities. Therefore, the innovative activity of the enterprise as soon as possible must be used to use an effective tool – innovation management, which involves the use of tools, methods, technologies of management throughout the formation of innovation policy of the enterprise. The current circumstances of highly competitive markets necessitate the renewal and modernization of production technologies, development and production of new competitive products, the application of new approaches to management and organization of production, which can only guarantee investments aimed at innovation. Thus, the object of scientific research in the area of management of innovation investment processes is to identify more flexible opportunities for mobilization of financial resources and improve the mechanism of their direction to innovative development. Since the creation of innovation policy of the enterprise must focus on the market and the consumer, market research should be conducted, which should be preceded by a thorough study of the innovative product.

Abstract:
The papers considers the following six innovative models of marketing activity: event marketing, brand immersion, geolocation internet-marketing, lead generation internet-marketing, single commodity distribution and trade-service network, van selling. Even marketing is a systematic execution of events used as a platform for presentation of products while attracting attention of potential consumers and exerting emotional impact on them. The model is directed on four targeted objects: consu-mers, partners, market and own personnel. Brand immersion is the involvement of consumers in emotional perception and expe-rience of brand. Geolocation internet-marketing is data penetration (location) of a large circle of consumers via the Internet on a wide geographic site. Lead generation internet-marketing is attraction (generation) of potential consumers (leads) via the Internet. Single commodity distribution and trade-service network is an aggregate of firms or individuals which and who take over or help to transfer ownership of a particular product or service to someone else on their way from a manufacturer to a consumer as well as providing trade and service services. Links of the commodity distribution network are: manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, dealers, brokers, agents, consignees, retailers, service and repair companies. Van selling is wholesale trade with prompt delivery of goods to consumers and placing orders on the spot (sale from wheels). The essence of each model has been revealed and their values and advantages in commercial activity have been considered in the paper. It has been shown that an introduction of innovations is hindered by various factors: stereotypes of thinking, organizational difficulties, additional material costs, possible lack of direct economic benefits for some participants in the trade. All this makes it difficult to create and implement innovations in trade practice including the use of computer technologies in trade, for example, in the field of public procurement. The paper proposes methods for eliminating these obstacles.

Abstract:
Promotion of innovations on the market is hampered in Ukraine by the lack of methodological approaches for analyzing the efficiency of innovative projects. The lack of appropriate methodology leads companies to refuse to innovate because of the uncertainty of final economic outcomes. The introduction of project based methods for innovation activity management allows, on the one hand, to reconcile strategic and operational objectives within the innovation process, innovation activity and general financial and economic activity of the enterprise, and on the other hand, to implement cognitive approaches to organization of company’s innovation management. The research argues the possibilities of applying the canonical correlation method for structuring the causal links between the determined components of a company innovative capability, such as innovation potential, innovative business opportunities and system margin. As these components may be further assessed by quantitative indices, the method of regression analysis is also used to develop analytical tools for innovation management, which allow to reveal the interrelated impact of expenses on the results of innovation activity. The paper analyzes changes in a company innovative capability that can be provoked by increased material, depreciation, labor and information costs and discusses directions of interrelated changes. Practical testing of submitted proposals is realized based on the Ukrainian companies’ statements for 2012–2017.
