Abstract:
Purpose Professional ethics is explored with three main foci: a critique of codes of conduct and the value of creating a global code for information and communication technology (ICT); a critique of ICT professional certification; and the debate over whether ICT is really a profession. Design/methodology/approach This is a conceptual reflection on the current state of the ICT industry internationally, informed by the literature. Findings Compared to a mature profession, such as health, ICT is a young profession. This is evidenced in the disparity of domains of practice, the lack of agreement on universal values governing the industry and the ongoing difficulties in creating international certification. Originality/value Until now, there has been little recognition of the corporatisation of ICT professionals and the effect that has on their ability to engage in appropriate professional ethics. More research is needed to explore appropriate ways in which ethical behaviour can be encouraged in the corporate workplace, including how professional development can be strengthened through building learning organisations.

Abstract:
The wave of changes pervading the global community presently has called for proactive measures in virtually all aspects of human endeavours to meet the exigencies of change and challenges coded new normal. Education and instructional delivery should therefore be global best practices compliant to give a country relevance among nations. Doing this successfully requires stakeholders in education to meet with the exigencies of the time. Since teachers are the drivers of the nation’s education programmes, they should be prepared to go beyond the traditional face-to- face (F2F) classroom setting. This requires being exposed to the rapid development in Information Communication Technology (ICT) and being able to cope with the challenges of the new normal in teaching. This is encapsulated in the media-mediated instruction that allows for the use of advances in various communication technologies in achieving educational goals which is the major reason of this study. This research therefore examines how, within the new normal, teachers can conduct effective teaching and learning, improve the quality of education, and the way forward for effective teaching and learning in the Arts and Humanities using media-mediated instructional tools.

Abstract:
Information and communication technology (ICT) undoubtedly changes the lives of people, especially in this time of pandemics. Almost all the communications strategies of the different agencies have adopted the technology. ICT has posed a lot of benefits from making communication faster and circulating information. ICT brings impact to the educational field through rapid development and positive changes. The Department of Education designated ICT Coordinators to oversee the duties and functions of technological assistance in the school. This study determined the Information and Communication Technology Coordinators competency skills and clients satisfaction involving a total of 297 respondents including the ICT coordinators of each school.Employing the descriptive correlational research design, this study had utilize a researcher developed questionnaire to gather the data from the ICT coordinators and teachers from the elementary schools in the Division of Biliran. The results found that the ages of the respondents have ranged from 22 to 45 years, most of them are female, married, Masters Degree holders, mostly 10 to 14 years in the service, and have attended local training and seminars. The level of competency skills of ICT coordinators in terms of computer system servicing was moderately competent, and in terms of preventive maintenance was highly competent.Therewas a high level of clients satisfaction. The sex and number of years in the service have a significant relationship to clients satisfaction, while the age, educational attainment, and training and seminars attended have no significant relationship to clients satisfaction. There was also significant relationship between the competency skills of ICT coordinators and clients satisfaction. Moreover, results also indicated that ICT coordinators have encountered problems while rendering their services to their clients such as: no available funds allocated for the maintenance of the computers due to limited allocation of Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) ICT Coordinators were assigned to various school activities and under regular teaching hours and some computer units were no longer functional. The school administrators shall conduct training and workshops which should focused on computer servicing to enhance the level of competency skills of ICT coordinators andfund may also be allocated for the maintenance of computer units and to upgrade the internet connectivity to improve the level of clients satisfaction.

Abstract:
Science and Technology (S&T) were aggressively used for more than two decades during the Cold Conflict between the United States and the former Soviet Union to avert war and maintain diplomatic equilibrium in the conduct of 'International Relations' (I.R.). The prevalence of soft power in digital age politics and the empowerment of non-state actors in international relations are both aided by access to information and control over it. Aside from increased roles, requests for expanded outreach and accountability, and dwindling resources, the modern diplomatic service is particularly challenged by the multistakeholder and interdisciplinary international arena. The well-planned and well-organized use of ICT may empower diplomatic services, particularly in small and developing nations, and assist them in dealing with rising difficulties and delivering their full potential. The study goes into great detail regarding how science and technology affect diplomacy.

In addition, this day is the globalization era and the English language is the global language. Then, this world particularly needs human resources who mastering English material and modern technology. The objective of the paper was to examine the utilization of ICT while conduct autonomous learning also to ensure teachers' abilities in the implementation of social media technology to support English Foreign Language (EFL) teaching classes. The survey used with collecting the data from several young teachers by the descriptive-qualitative method. The data showed four from six respondents already known ICT as well, automatically those five young teachers have the appropriate ELT tools by various social media. On the other hand, not many ideas are found in the comprehension of conducting autonomous learning. Basically, the teachers understand how important student-centered to conduct particularly in EFL classes. In contrast, it was not balanced with the idea to develop ICT in designing interactive modern learning classes. This matter similar to the case of senior teachers who have no enough knowledge about the global technology development rate. This case was found in the previous survey to be precise with the teacher in high school. The senior teacher just utilizes one or two ICT tools in the ELT classes. The limitation of tools could make the output and outcome of the learning process is not optimal. Furthermore, this paper shows the importance of integration of ICT tools and ELT which should be mastered by teachers in this 4.0 era.

Abstract:
Current managerial communication in the global business world has recently experienced dramatic and unprecedented changes connected to the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in business and managerial communication. The objective of this paper is to analyze the changes in ICT-enhanced business and managerial communication in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic. The use of ICT in business and managerial communication is obvious and brings various benefits, but it also has some drawbacks that should be identified and analyzed. From a methodological point of view, this study is twofold. Firstly, we conduct a systematic review of the current literature on the topic of business and managerial communication, providing an understanding of the recent development in the area of business and managerial communication. Secondly, we conduct qualitative research into the current state of ICT-enhanced managerial and business communication in several SMEs in the Czech Republic. The findings of the literature research show that there are two key aspects that define modern business and managerial communication, i.e., interculturality and interconnectedness. These two aspects of business and managerial communication are very recent, and they bring many challenges that must be considered in order to optimize communication. These altered communication paradigms have the potential to improve global competitiveness and produce new opportunities in the global market. The second part of the research shows that the general awareness of the changes in business communication is limited, and this could potentially pose a threat to business and managerial communication, leading to a loss of opportunities and reduced competitiveness. The majority of global-based companies have already become culture-, communication-, technology- and information-dependent, and ignoring or neglecting this fact presents a significant risk, which may be one of the biggest threats to global competitiveness. Since the success of SMEs is critical for the development of the national economy, it is recommended that company communication be continuously enhanced by frequent training at all organizational levels. This presents a challenge for educational institutions and training centers, managers and businesspeople, of creating communication competencies that would be highly rewarded in the global business environment.

Abstract:
This study aims to understand the nature of information and communication technology in technology convergence. We form a knowledge network by applying social network theories to Korean patent data collected from the European Patent Organization. A knowledge network consists of nodes representing technology sectors identified by their International Patent Classification codes and edges that link International Patent Classification codes when they appear concurrently in a patent. We test the proposed hypotheses using four indices (degree centrality, E-I index, entropy index, and clustering coefficient). The results show that information and communication technology is easily attached but tends to converge with similar technology and has the greatest influence on technology convergence over other technologies. This study is expected to help practitioners and policymakers understand the structure and interaction mechanisms of technology from a systematic perspective and improve national-level technology policies.

Abstract:
Role of governance is undisputedly pivotal in managing the resources of a nation. Its importance for a better society and economy has been widely discussed in literature (North, 1990; Kaufmann et al., 2000; La Porta et al., 1999). Moreover, the 21st century has brought novel changes such as advent of information and communication technology (ICT). Information revolution has reformed societies and economies around the globe. Accordingly, this paper combines the two above-mentioned phenomena in this paper and puts forward a hypothesis that ICT has a positive influence on governance. In addition to ICT, Human Development Index (HDI) is also expected to have positive influence on governance. To conduct rigorous statistical analysis of the relevant variables, we use a widely used robust estimation technique, known as Generalized Method of Moments (GMM). This statistical technique has the ability to cope with endogeneity and heteroskedasticity in the presence of instrumental variables. In addition, Granger causality has been applied to test the causality between the two governance and ICT. Recommendation on the basis of findings are made after the statistical analysis is conducted.

Abstract:
Debate regarding the impact of information and communication technology (ICT) on health outcomes has prompted researchers to conduct analyses across many parts of the globe, yet, still little is known about the ICT impact in the African continent. Using a robust multivariate approach, this study examined system-wide impact of ICT diffusion on multiple health outcomes for HIV and tuberculosis among sovereign countries of Africa. This study utilized longitudinal panel data from the World Bank and International Telecommunication Union databases between 2000 and 2016. We relied on a robust linear dynamic panel model to incorporate lagged time variables to estimate the relationships between ICT infrastructure (mobile phone use, internet access, and fixed-telephone subscriptions) and HIV and tuberculosis outcomes. Econometric analyses found that the coefficients of the aggregate ICT variables were all negative (except for fixed telephones) for tuberculosis health measures and HIV prevalence, and positive for access to antiretroviral therapy. The diffusion of mobile phones and internet was associated with decreased incidence of tuberculosis, HIV prevalence, and tuberculosis mortality rates. However, increased diffusion of these three ICT tools was associated with increased access to antiretroviral therapy. Thus, African governments should identify investment strategies for adopting and implementing ICT to improve population health outcomes.

Abstract:
Purpose Drawing on social feminist theory, this paper aims to close gaps between knowledge about gender-related barriers to information, communication and technology (ICT) adoption and the provision of entrepreneurship education and training (EET) programs. Design/methodology/approach Empirical findings are drawn from 21 semi-structured interviews (22 informants) possessing differing training expertise regarding digital technology among women entrepreneurs. An open-coding technique was adopted where descriptive codes were first assigned to meaningful statements. Interpretive and pattern codes were then assigned to indicate common themes and patterns, which were reduced to higher-order categories to inform the research questions. Findings The findings specify and validate further gender influences in the digital economy. Digital skills are identified, and strategies to close gender barriers to ICT adoption with EET are described. The findings are discussed in reference to a large-scale, Canadian ICT adoption program. Research limitations/implications Perceptual data may be idiosyncratic to the sample. The work did not control for type of technology. Gender influences may differ by type of technology. Practical implications Findings can be used to construct gender-inclusive ICT supports and inform ICT adoption policies. This includes program eligibility and evaluation criteria to measure the socio-economic impacts. Originality/value The study is among the first to examine the intersection between knowledge about gender-related barriers to ICT adoption and EET. The findings can be adopted to ICT support programs targeted at small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate how organizations focusing on employee-driven innovation (EDI) use information and communication technologies (ICT)-based tools in their innovation work. EDI involves systematic exploitation of knowledge resources in organizations. Thus, the role of ICT for efficient knowledge management is important in this respect. Design/methodology/approach – In-depth interviews with employees, managers and union representatives from 20 organizations focusing on EDI were conducted. The sample included organizations from eight different industries, representing both private and public sectors. Findings – The results show that ICT-based tools can support the processes of acquisition, dissemination and exploitation of knowledge, which are important aspects of EDI. However, use of ICT-based tools has to be aligned with organizational structures and professional role conduct to be efficient. Practical implications – This study contributes to practice by highlighting several factors that organizations should emphasize to succeed with application of external and internal knowledge in their innovation work. Originality/value – This study applies a knowledge management perspective on the role of ICT-based tools to support EDI in organizations. The findings contribute to an improved understanding of organizational conditions for succeeding with use of ICT-based tools in innovation work, and emphasize that perspectives on knowledge management, technology management and human resource management have to be combined to understand how EDI can be promoted by using ICT in organizations.

Abstract:
Technology has become one of society’s everyday functional tools, changing rapidly and providing widespread mobility. In South Africa alone, the number of Internet users grew from 8,5 million to 24,9 million in only three years (2011-2014). Currently, 90 per cent of these users access this facility from their mobile devices. Statistics illustrate that South Africans are moving towards a continuously connected lifestyle, a situation in which information and communication technology (ICT) seems to have become ubiquitous. Given the rapid growth of ITC technology and its absorption into people’s lives (both personally and professionally), the general aim of the present research was to investigate the use of ICT among employees and how it affects their work-life interaction (WLI). The researcher employed a qualitative research approach in accordance with which a sample of 25 employees was interviewed. Interviews were recorded, transcribed and processed by means of thematic analyses. Three themes with corresponding sub-themes were extracted: use of ICT (i.e. in both work and family domains); challenges that ICT use presents; and the way in which employees manage their WLI by means of ICT. The participants experienced WLI as mostly negative. However, they also mentioned two different approaches that helped them manage interaction between their work and family domains. These approaches entail 1) applying limits to their use of ICT, and 2) using ICT to create flexibility. This article advises that organisations should consider adopting ICT to assist their employees in the management of these two domains. This could be done in two ways. First, organisations could implement a code of conduct or provide guidelines for eliminating the intrusive and excessive use of ICT, especially after working hours. Secondly, organisations could pilot or implement flexible working hours and possible telecommuting initiatives.

Abstract:
Abstract Population aging is accompanied by an increase in chronic diseases such as cancer. Colon cancer is the third most common cancer and a leading cause of cancer death. Screening tests can aid early detection and treatment. It is unclear how information and communication technology (ICT), especially media through mobile devices, influences cancer screening. This study analyzes the relationship between ICT usage and colon cancer screening among U.S. adults. Data are from the second cycle of the Health Information National Trend Survey 5. Cancer screening included having one of the following: colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy and/or stool blood test to check for colon cancer. Approximately 70% of respondents had at least some college education, 51% were female, and the mean age was 48 years. More than half of respondents report using apps on a tablet or smartphone for health and wellness purposes, and around 70% of them used apps for health communication and decision-making. Based on results of a binary logistic regression model, people who use mobile apps for discussions with health care providers (p<0.01), who use the internet to look for information about cancer (p <0.01), and who do not use mobile apps to make decisions about how to treat an illness or condition (p<0.01) are more likely to conduct cancer screening. ICT usage may enable people to gather information about cancer screening and improve patient and physician communication. Future studies should explore longitudinal associations between ICT usage, cancer screening, and cancer outcomes.

Abstract:
Recent conflicts and revolutions have foregrounded a new battlefield where information and communication technology (ICT) will play a crucial role. The producers of ICT frequently use it as a tool for defining and implementing strategies aimed at achieving stability and democracy. While the traditional battlefields remain in upheaval, manoeuvres on the digital terrain do not progress in parallel. This paper will examine the foreign policy implications of the pervasive cultural bias of the ICTs connected to revolution and stabilization efforts describing how this bias shifts power away from the populations using the technology and toward the actors controlling the programs and codes. The ICTs deployed for conflict management and democratization are plagued by cultural bias which disenfranchises users, thereby diminishing the technology’s potential for use in participatory actions by removing authorship and contributing to information gatekeeping by the creators of the technology which tend to be European or American.

Abstract:
The Ghanaian government developed and implemented an ICT in Education Policy in 2008. ICT was integrated into instructing and education at all levels of the country's educational system as a result of this approach. This study looks at the challenges that rural communities in Ghana confront in securing the benefits of ICT in tutoring at various levels. The study used a sample size of 142 ICT instructors and heads of schools, as well as a small number of students, with a 90% confidence level. The district's respondents were chosen using planned and practical sampling methods. A structured form was used to gather primary data from all participants; however, only 93.67 percent responded. With the use of SPSS, tables were used to examine the primary data. According to the students, the number of hours per week dedicated to teaching ICT in schools is positively connected with their dedication to learning ICT. In terms of the impact of ICT on students' daily lives in the district, the reading discovered that ICT instruction had both beneficial and adverse consequences for kids. Based on the findings, the various stakeholders in education should conduct periodic on-the-job training for all teachers on evolving e-learning high-tech and approaches to provide them with the necessary abilities to effectively teach ICT. It determined the profile of teachers, adequacy of ICT equipment, competence of teachers and their relationships. The data were gathered through a questionnaire-checklist formulated by the researcher. The validity and reliability of the instrument were ensured. Findings revealed that the majority of the teachers are 26 years old and above. Three-fourths of them have attended a very minimal number (1-3 times) of ICT – related training. Eighty-four percent of the teachers have master’s degrees; fifty percent of them have served the government for more than 10 years; fifty-eight percent were occupying Teacher I position; twelve percentage designated to different administrative functions. There is fairly adequate ICT tools and equipment and the teachers are competent in working with word processors only. Furthermore, the age of teachers and the competences is significantly related to using ICT tools and equipment. The researcher concluded that there is a dearth of ICT-related training for teachers of all age levels and ICT tools and equipment should be procured to sustain the development of competence among teachers. It is recommended therefore to implement the proposed ICT development plan and the conduct of further research on the extent of utilization of ICT tools and equipment along the actual teaching-learning process.

Abstract:
Technology has been the bread and butter of learning not only among school going children, but also those of pre-schoolers. Its access and usage has become the perennial tool to generate learning. Hence, it comes with the effects of the learning process. This study attempts to investigate the concern of pre-schoolers’ parents regarding the access of Information Communication Technology (ICT) that takes place both in school and at home. This has also become the cause of concern for parents as their children are exposed to its access and usage, conveniently 24/7. To conduct this study, questionnaires were given and duly completed by 10 parents in a small school of eighteen pre-schoolers. These pre-schoolers ranged from the ages of 3 to 6 years old. At these ages, the children have ICT knowledge, at home ranging from leisure games, electronic toys, mobile phones, television, CD, and computers. They have well educated parents with concerns on child computer addiction, health matters and lack of social values. Discussions on the findings focus on the advantages and disadvantages of technology access and usage among the pre-schoolers. They also included the questions on methods of access control or preventive measures to ensure safe ICT use for these pre-schoolers. This study took a qualitative approach as it was suitable to access the respondents’ perception and opinion via questionnaires. The analysis of the study results indicated that ICT had positive impact on education. The concern and setback for parents were the health issues, dark webs, and lack or over socialising. More often it is lack of social mingling. Received: 27 June 2021 / Accepted: 9 August 2021 / Published: 5 September 2021

The development of information technology has led to a dramatic growth in the sophistication of web applications that can support the majority of the tasks performed by users. In this day and age, information and communication technologies have evolved into an essential component of our everyday lives. The vast majority of us are dependent on various forms of modern technology. Whether or not we agree, we cannot ignore the significant contribution that technology makes to our day-to-day lives. In addition to the utilisation of information and communication technologies (ICT), one other issue that we need to be aware of is the privacy problem, particularly in regards to the personal information. These days, we conduct the business of our daily lives through the use of internet transactions. With the help of ICT, we were able to include social networking into our day-to-day lives in the form of activities such as online banking, online gaming, and social media networking through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, amongst others. In point of fact, we do expose our own personal information completely on our own volition and without bias. This article will discuss the ways in which the usage of information and communication technologies (ICT), the internet, and social networking sites affect privacy concerns around personal information.

Abstract:
The article accentuates the information communication tools (ICTs) skills of library and information science (LIS) professionals working in the 74 college libraries affiliated with the University of Delhi. In the present study, the respondents gathered the information through a structured questionnaire using the survey method. The questionnaires were distributed among 196 LIS professionals, and 171 filled-in questionnaires were collected personally and elicited 87.1%. The findings demonstrated that most LIS professionals are deficient regarding skills in burglar systems, electromagnetic security systems (ESS), access control system, quick response (QR) codes, biometric technology, content management systems, reference creation and management, R software in statistical package. On account of semi-professionals, it was revealed that they need to enhance ICT tool skills in digital library software, ESS, QR codes, biometric technology, content management system (CMS), reference management, and statistical software. The ICT tool skills will be at the centre of the necessary skills and fundamental to advancing learning skills, problem-solving, and critical, innovative, and systemic thinking towards improving their library services. The authors advocate that college libraries have to cross alongside technological adjustments that are taking location to continue to include value to higher learning establishments. It is also necessary to continue constructing LIS professional potential to ensure that they add value to college libraries. The study is noteworthy because it accentuates the ICT tools skills of LIS professionals and helps the University of Delhi authorities include courses for ICT skills in the academic/ professional curriculum, which would help the working LIS professionals to get capable in different ICT skills.

Abstract:
AbstractThis paper analyses the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in a distributed product design project-based learning (PBL). The paper presents the ICT use of five international student teams during three product design phases: identification of opportunities, conceptual design, embodiment design. General results show that student teams used around 30 different ICTs for both taskwork and teamwork. Students reported that they used previously known ICTs or ICTs properly introduced to them during the initial course workshop. Results also show that team members often work individually on their tasks and use various procedures to share their results. Also, teams conduct some activities synchronously, suggesting the need for teams to have a collaborative workspace. Cloud-based collaborative ICTs (e.g. whiteboard, computer-aided design, document editor, task management) showed huge potential for individual and team tasks. Hence, educators and teams should carefully consider which ICTs to implement and learn, as it might greatly impact the execution of the product design PBL course.

Abstract:
Background There is a growing body of evidence relating to how information and communication technology (ICT) can be used to support people with physical health conditions. Less is known regarding mental health, and in particular, mood disorder. Objective To conduct a metasynthesis of all qualitative studies exploring the use of ICTs by people with mood disorder. Methods Searches were run in eight electronic databases using a systematic search strategy. Qualitative and mixed-method studies published in English between 2007 and 2014 were included. Thematic synthesis was used to interpret and synthesis the results of the included studies. Results Thirty-four studies were included in the synthesis. The methodological design of the studies was qualitative or mixed-methods. A global assessment of study quality identified 22 studies as strong and 12 weak with most having a typology of findings either at topical or thematic survey levels of data transformation. A typology of ICT use by people with mood disorder was created as a result of synthesis. Conclusions The systematic review and metasynthesis clearly identified a gap in the research literature as no studies were identified, which specifically researched how people with mood disorder use mobile ICT. Further qualitative research is recommended to understand the meaning this type of technology holds for people. Such research might provide valuable information on how people use mobile technology in their lives in general and also, more specifically, how they are being used to help with their mood disorders.

Abstract:
Taking further action to the ubiquitous previous researches about the importance and advantages of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) employment in education, the researchers were motivated to conduct a research about designing ICT competences-integrated syllabuses of Grammar courses for English Language Education Study Program (ELESP). This research employed Design and Development Research (DDR) adapting Cunningham’s concept (Gall, Gall, & Borg, 2003), and produced a set of ICT competences-integrated syllabuses of grammar courses for ELESP which consisted of basic, intermediate and advanced level. To design the syllabuses, the researchers initially analyzed 15 grammar syllabuses from eight different universities for their accommodation of ICT competences. The analysis revealed that the ICT employment in the existing syllabuses were scarce yet dominated with merely use for Technology Literacy that dominantly presented in the components of Assessments, Learning Media, and/or Learning methods. These findings showed that the existing syllabuses did not sufficiently employ ICT, neither purposely and systematically improve students’ ICT competences. To fill these gaps, the proposed syllabuses were systematically used ICT to enhance students’ ICT competences. Furthermore, the ICT integration in the designed syllabuses spread over most of the syllabus’ components which not only meant for Technology Literacy but also for Knowledge Deepening and Knowledge Creation. Abstract:
With the increasing use of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), a new method of bullying has emerged known as cyberbullying. It is indeed ironic that the advancement in communication tools designed to improve the life of mankind is also the cause of much pain. More and more frequently we do read or hear of cases of young children being victims because of the misuse of ICT which have in some extreme cases led to them committing suicide. Unfortunately the ICT’s very nature of being accessible from anywhere and anytime, and its often anonymous nature makes it difficult to regulate what children say or do to each other. This paper discusses the scope of the cyberbullying problem amongst the young in Australia and considers what role the government, the courts and schools should play in detecting, deterring or preventing such conduct.

The study was undertaken to determine the extent of integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to Mathematics teaching and learning processes among Junior and Senior High School teachers in the Division of Tanauan City. Further, the research also identified various challenges encountered in ICT-based teaching and learning Mathematics. This study used mixed method of research to obtain the necessary data in the conduct of this research. Specifically, the researchers used survey questionnaire, interview, and focus group discussion with the 77 junior and senior high school Mathematics teachers from the division of Tanauan City. The actual number of respondents was determined using Raosoft sample size determination at five percent margin of error and used stratified random sampling. The Weighted Mean, Frequency Distribution, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and T-test were the statistical tools used to analyze the data gathered. Based on the findings of the study, majority of the respondents were female, bachelor’s graduate, from teachers I to III, 15 years below in the service and not active in the ICT – related seminars attended. Most of the respondents use technology in writing lesson plans, in computing students’ results and, in teaching the lesson through power point presentations. However, due to the lack of resources and little fund from the MOOE, the respondents rarely use telecommunication devices such as cable, satellite, fax-machine etc. to interact with pupils. There is a significant difference between the extent of the use of ICT in teaching and learning Mathematics and years in teaching. Different challenges like lack of ICT facilities, confidence in the use of ICT and lack of trainings attended were the most commonly identified by the respondents. With the aforementioned, the researchers recommended that Mathematics teachers must be given more opportunities to participate ICT-based seminars and trainings.

Abstract:
Education is a process that simplifies learning. It should be a continuous process in one’s life to attain success. Over the decades, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have gradually begun to play a very important role in education, with their usage in education is growing worldwide continuously. These methods allow access to information through the internet. In education, ICT is the method of teaching that uses information and communication technology to support, improve and optimize the transfer of information, in turn leading to the invention of smart education. This improves the quality of teaching, the learning process of students and ultimately facilitates e-learning. It is commonly believed that technology can empower educators and students, making substantial contributions to knowledge and achievement. This paper gives an insight into the various tools that help instructors to develop online course content using Learning Management System tools. These tools allow the instructors to conduct online classes from any location using tutor tools and desktop recording tools to record screen output for further use. The instructor can assess the students in their course using assessment tools and can also enhance teaching methods using innovative teaching tools. The paper also throws limelight on the feedback taken by the faculty as well as the students about the usage of various tools in higher education which helps in analyzing the best suitable tools.

Abstract:
In recent years, the role of internet and communication technology (ICT) has significantly impacted organisational activities including leadership practices. In this sense, interactions between leaders and followers have undergone tremendous technological changes that have reduced face-to-face interactions. Therefore, this study was designed to examine the imple-mentation of using technological advances to develop an e-leadership platform for teachers and school leaders. A survey of the feedback from 260 in-service teachers currently with two private secondary schools was undertaken. Findings revealed that the school principals had used ICT-based e-leadership practices to conduct online meetings with teachers and disseminate relevant information on the school’s administrative tasks. Most importantly, the principals have used e-leadership on a regular basis in planning and developing strategic school-improvement plans with teachers. As a result, the use of ICT-based e-learning has increased teachers’ efficiency and performance and contributed to practical and effective school administration.

Abstract:
Digitalization, which has been so much talked about, contributes to the development of many industries in Russia and in the world, but at the same time dictates new requirements for digital personnel and their competencies. To keep pace with emerging trends and information technology and plan for future careers, information and communication technology (ICT) professionals should continually update their skill sets and develop new competencies with the help of the MOOC platforms that suggest appropriate courses. However, given the wide variety of platforms and courses, one can get confused about what to choose for the future development, which courses to take and what profession to follow. The authors conduct a research on user requirements, existing MOOC recommendation systems and their functions, and propose a recommendation system that allows users to select an existing MOOC platform based on assignments and skills for ICT career planning in Russia. The article proposes a modern approach that helps IT professionals plan their future development path based on MOOC recommendations corresponding to their development needs.

Abstract:
Modern slavery is an insidious problem in many sectors of the global economy, and it poses a challenge for the information technology industry. However, the issue of modern slavery in the information technology industry has received little or no attention in the business and management literature and this paper looks to provide an exploratory review of one of the ways in which the leading information and communication technology companies have addressed this issue, by reviewing their modern slavery statements. The findings reveal that five interlinked themes, namely, corporate commitment; risk assessments and due diligence in supply chains: codes of conduct; awareness, capability building, and training; and future plans and key performance indicators illustrated the spirit of the selected companies’ modern slavery statements. Identifying and tackling the risk of modern slavery within supply chains presents the major challenges for the information technology companies, and the paper concludes that the leading technology companies’ modern slavery statements can be best seen as a work in progress. Abstract:
Information and communication technologies have proven to be an effective way of helping older adults improve independence outcomes, but such technologies are yet not widely used by this segment of the population. This paper aims to study computer use and senior citizens’ attitudes toward computer technology in the context of a 20-hour course in basic skills. A questionnaire was used to conduct pre- and postcourse analyses with a sample of 191 adults over the age of 60. The findings show that direct contact with computers generates more positive attitudes toward computer use and also positive relationships with attitudes, user behavior, training expectations, and self-confidence. Results are discussed in the light of need-to-know attitudes toward computer use and training in new technologies as an opportunity for life-long learning and for improving quality of life in old age.

Abstract:
Though there is an extensive body of research regarding information and communication technology (ICT) use in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), relatively few studies have examined ICT use specifically in the subset of SMEs known as micro-enterprises. This study compares ICT use among micro-enterprises (MEs) in the agricultural sector. Factors expected to influence IC adoption include firm size, CEO education, and the type of crop produced. Results indicate extensive use of computers and the Internet, especially for functions like email, online purchasing, and online business-related research, while website ownership is less widespread. Larger MEs are more likely than smaller ones to use a computer. Among those MEs owning computers, larger ones are more likely than smaller ones to have a website and to conduct financial activities online. However, most other ICTs (email, online purchasing, etc.) are used similarly by both smaller and larger MEs. Thus, for most internet ICTs micro-enterprise growth does not result in differing adoption rates. The study also investigates micro-enterprise use of emerging social technologies like instant messaging, chat, blogging, etc. Micro-entrepreneurs’ perceptions of ICT benefits and implications for development are also discussed.

Abstract:
Over the last few years, existing and emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and artificial intelligence have been changing the way that factories conduct their manufacturing activities. Operation system of smart factories has been of great interest to researchers in recent years. However, the research concerning operations for the smart factory is still at the nascent stage. To address this need, we conduct a citation and co-citation analysis on smart factory operation system research published in the 11-year period from 2010-2020. A total of 351 papers were selected from Web of Science database. In the citation analysis, we depend on the degree centrality and betweenness centrality to identify 36 important papers. In addition, our main path analysis reveals the role of ICT in facilitating fast development of operation in smart factory. In the co-citation analysis, we identify four major research themes: resource reconfiguration, predictive production planning model, collaborative scheduling mechanism and technology basis of logistics. This is among the first studies to examine the knowledge structure of smart factory operations research by using evidence-based analysis methods. Recommendations for the future research directions have suggested based on our analysis.

Abstract:
Background: With an aging population, it is essential to maintain good health and autonomy for as long as possible. Instead of hospitalisation or institutionalisation, older people with chronic conditions can be assisted in their own home with numerous “smart” devices that support them in their activities of daily living, manage their medical conditions, and prevent fall incidents. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions facilitate the monitoring and management of older people’s health to improve quality of life and physical activity with a decline in caregivers’ burden. Method: The aim of this paper was to conduct a systematic literature review to analyse the state of the art of ICT solutions for older people with chronic conditions, and the impact of these solutions on their quality of life from a biomedical perspective. Results: By analysing the literature on the available ICT proposals, it is shown that different approaches have been deployed by noticing that the more cross-interventions are merged then the better the results are, but there is still no evidence of the effects of ICT solutions on older people’s health outcomes. Furthermore, there are still unresolved ethical and legal issues. Conclusion: While there has been much research and development in healthcare ICT solutions for the aging population, ICT solutions still need significant development in order to be user-oriented, affordable, and to manage chronic conditions in the aging wider population.

Abstract:
The development of Indonesian tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic began to rise again. Various efforts have been made by the government and tourism actors to be able to revive the tourism sector. The purpose of this study is to analyze tourism communication in the development of a Sustainable Smart Tourism Village in East Lombok as a supporting area for Mount Rinjani Global Geopark and the Mandalika Special Economic Zone. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting interviews and direct observations of Loyok Village. The data collected were analyzed using data analysis techniques from Miles Huberman. The results of the study indicate that the development of a sustainable smart tourism village in East Lombok requires collaboration from various parties such as the government, tourism actors, communities, and researchers all at once. The Gunadarma University Matching Fund team is here to help implement five information and communication technologies (ICT) in tourist villages such as making smart homestays, making virtual reality videos, and QR Codes, making new designs for bamboo crafts, and tourist village websites. The application of this technology is also part of communication and is expected to support the development of Loyok Tourism Village in East Lombok Regency. The implementation of ICT in East Lombok Regency is also expected to serve as a pilot project in the development of smart homestays in Indonesia.
