Demoulin, Hugues. "Des représentations sociales de la maladie mentale dans des groupes en formation sur cet objet." Paris 10, 1987. http://www.theses.fr/1987PA100134.
Full textAs the very full knowledge of all the elements of the environment is impossible, it is necessary to build up representations about these. Among other functions, they allow to resolve the dissonance between actual and aspirational connections with the represented object. Our purpose is not only to describe social representations about mental illness, but principally to appraise in what degree the prospect of connections with an object induces the structure and the dynamic of its representations. In this way, some elements of representations was compared close to groups of students according to their formation affiliation, about mental illness or not (between psychiatric mursing or not in a first time, and psychology studding or not in a second time). The results we obtained, at the end of these two experimental studies, brought us up to come to the conclusion that the social representations about an object which belong to the actual or potential of the ulterior practice of the members of a group -are determinated by the importance of this object in the definition and the upholding of the identity of this group -will be altered reciprocally to this importance of definition and upholding. Meanwhile, these assumptions cannot be confirm, an account of methodological wants. But they allow to explain the results we obtained, and the conflicting conclusions we laid in a circumstantial bibliographical analysis about opinions, representations and attitudes to mental illness

Full textThe health sector has experienced many changes over the last decades which entails a loss of caregivers’ bearings affecting their employment relationship. This thesis is placed along the avenues of research suggested by the literature which highlight the focus put on the consequences of the breach and violation of the psychological contract, neglecting its construction and dynamics. This doctoral work is intended to be a contribution to these less studied aspects through a longitudinal qualitative approach. A year-long case study was carried out with a cohort of 40 newly-graduated nurses who were recruited in 18 French health facilities nationally. The reciprocity of the contract is also considered from the perspective of the management representatives. The data resulting from 219 interviews conducted were complemented with observations and documentary analysis. On the theoretical level, the approach adopted enables the dynamics of the psychological contract to be understood and a model to be proposed; from the anticipated creation, during nursing studies, up to a stabilized phase after a year of professional activity in a care service. On the managerial level, this work suggests possible reasoning for the construction of a sustainable and satisfying employment relationship between the hospital structure and caregivers

Full textThe hospital is an environment of professional risks. Therefore, this research falls within the field of social occupational psychology and organizations with health at workplace as the main interest, a practical and research field which aims at improving health, at preventing and protecting workers in hospitals. In this research, we discuss the risk of accidents due to blood exposure (AES risks), risks to which nurses are daily exposed to during the accomplishment of their tasks. Aware of these professionals ills, in the hospital, the institutions listed in the protection of health care professionals, particularly the study group of risks due to exposure to blood (GERES) and the coordination center against hospital-based infections (CCLIN) have established standard measures and safety equipment to reduce the probability of the occurrence of the risk of accidents due to exposure to blood in the hospital. Our subject comes within the scope of the representation of professional risks, especially the risk of accidents due to exposure to blood (AES risks) among the nurses of the Libreville City Hospital- Gabon (CHL- Gabon). The representation of the risk of accidents related to exposure to blood may or may not incite nurses to respect standard precautions and to use safety equipment

Full textThis research, emanating from the field of the Human Sciences in sciences of education, uses the hermeneutic approach in a movement where the biographic process allows the nurse to be seen in the narrative of the interviews, and to observe the nurse, as caregiver in a body-to-body relation with the patients. This thought concerns the paradox of the nurse body in her/his activity inside the places of care including general-purpose reanimation, adult psychiatry and geriatrics. Therefore, this thesis, taking its theoretical roots from the concept of biographisation, will attempt to show how the complexities and the paradoxes of the human body physical presence enable the observation of that which this unspoken by the nurse who becomes a professional caregiver

Full textThis thesis in education science focuses on the nurse trainers using full-scale clinical simulation in their training plans. This educational tool, based on experiential apprenticeship and reflexivity on the practice, is considered both innovative and complex to use. It especially requires questioning the customary practices of teaching. The author’s has tried to identify what determines and characterizes the commitment of the trainers in this activity, and to understand how and according to which logics that commitment manifests itself at the heart of their practices. The search crossed the sociocognitive theoretical framework of Bandura (1977) and the vocational didactics (Pastré, 1997, 2002); it also used models of commitment and of teaching practice. This study has a descriptive approach of the commitment profiles in the activity and a comprehensive approach of their demonstrations. The empirical material was obtained from semi-directive interviews, observations in situation followed by self-confrontation interviews. It was handled according to qualitative and quantitative mixed methods. The results highlight a dominant profile, favouring the dialogical and hermeneutic logics, and a second profile, underlined by logics rather personal and technical; hence allowing the author to propose a typology of commitment profiles in the activity. The observed and analysed practices reveal the influence of the commitment profile on the educational perspective. A strong tension between a control position and a “let it go” position was identified, the latter being the sign of a transformation in the implementation of learning beliefs
