Abstract:
The information and methodological manual was approved at the meeting of the Academic Council of the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Hygiene and Occupational Pathology of Rospotrebnadzor on 21.09.2023, recommended for in-depth mandatory medical examinations of workers in harmful working conditions, with additional professional education of occupational pathologists. The relevance of the manual is due to the fact that diseases of the circulatory system currently remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality of people of working age, at the same time, the complex of clinical and laboratory studies regulated by normative documents on mandatory medical examinations of workers in harmful working conditions is not always sufficient to identify a risk group for this pathology. The aim of the manual is to provide methodological and practical assistance to occupational pathologists to identify a risk group for cardiovascular diseases during mandatory medical examinations of workers exposed to industrial noise using sphygmography. The training manual provides practical recommendations on the use of the sphygmography technique during mandatory medical examinations, provides comparisons of its results with data from other clinical and instrumental studies based on the analysis of existing regulatory and methodological documents, scientific literature and own experience. An algorithm for assessing cardiovascular risk in people working with industrial noise has been developed, the most informative sphygmography indicators have been identified to determine a risk group among this contingent of workers.
