Abstract:
Tempe is made from fermentation which generally uses soybeans. Soybean as a raw material for tempeh is a vegetable protein food that reaches 30.20% in a wet state and 34.90% in a dry state. The high consumption of tempeh by the Indonesian people encourages the tempe industry to innovate or look for soybean substitutes. The raw material in the form of imported soybeans causes dependence on imported soybeans to increase. The high price of imported soybeans is a major problem for the tempe industry and this problem is very dilemmatic because on the one hand the community still needs it. The results of the study indicate that the raw material for imported soybean tempeh can be substituted/replaced with beans as an alternative to reduce the number of Indonesian soybean imports. This study aims to determine the chemical characteristics of tempe and to determine the acceptability of tempe consumers with different media materials, the media used are soybeans, green beans, peanuts, and koro swords. The analytical method used in this study is a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications so that a sample of 16 samples is obtained, with the materials used are soybeans, green beans, peanuts, sword beans (B1, B2, B3, B4). The results showed that the average protein content of green beans was 20.61%, soybeans 17.45%, koro swords 10.81%, and peanuts 9.97%. Meanwhile, the results of the organoleptic test in terms of color, aroma, taste, and texture of tempe from soybeans were still the most preferred tempe by the panelists.

Abstract:
After the May 1998 "May riots", Suharto stepped down from power and Habibie was sworn in as president, marking the beginning of the post-Suharto era in Indonesia. During the successive presidencies of Habibie, Wahid, Megawati, Susilo, and Joko Widodo, they each adjusted policies towards the Chinese Indonesians, respecting Chinese customs and safeguarding their political and cultural rights, resulting in an improvement of their status. The Indonesian government's policy adjustments towards the Chinese Indonesians went through a gradual and multi-faceted reform process, reflecting progressive values. Internationally, peace and development, democracy and progress became the trend of the times and Indonesia-China relations rapidly developed. Domestically, the rise of the democratic reform movement, the urgent demand to revitalize the economy, the advocacy of the Chinese Indonesians, and the personal traits of leaders all became significant driving forces behind the adjustment of ethnic Chinese policies.

Abstract. This study utilizes Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to scrutinize the rampant use of hyperbole in Indonesian political cartoons. The objective is to assess how exaggerated language and visual representations are utilized to communicate political messages within a socio-cultural context. Through analyzing various cartoons from Kompas.id in Indonesia (period of publication: January 2019 up to July 2023), as the main data, this study exposes how hyperbolic elements are practical tools in shaping public opinion and impacting political discourse. The findings of this study offer vital insights into the influence of hyperbole in the cartoonistic medium. The strategic use of exaggerated language and visuals in cartoons influences the reception of political messages and shapes public discourse. It comprehensively comprehends how these visual narratives contribute to the dynamics of Indonesian politics. This study contributes to a broader discourse on political communication and media studies, providing an understanding of the complex interplay between language, imagery, and power within Indonesia’s sociopolitical landscape. Abstract:
The post-New Order Indonesian politics has provided a political opportunity structure for the state towards democratization. It has a double-edged sword whatsoever: on the one hand democratization could lead to the civic engagement, but on the other hand, it provides a hot bed for the flourishing of anti-civic organization. As for the latter, following the fall of authoritarian regime of new Order in 1998, Indonesians have also witnessed the birth of transnational Islamist and radical organizations threatening the state’s integrity and peaceful coexistence of the citizens. Amid the public appearance of these radical organization, an issue of ideological infiltration and sabotage of radical organization upon mainstreaming moderate Muslim organizations, such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah do exist. This article tries to reveal the impacts of a such infiltration practices and the extent that radical narratives win the minds and hearts of important Muslim leaders. Taking a closer a look to Muslim leaders in Sampang district in the island of Madura, the centrum of traditionalist Muslim in Indonesian Islamo-landscape, finds out that intolerant and radical ideologies do resonate clearly among the leaders. This finding resort as an alarm and counter-narrative to the long-admired Islamic traditionalism as an important backbone for moderate Islam in Indonesia.

Abstract:
Based on the constitution, the State of Indonesia is a state of law not based on a single absolute power. Thus, the Indonesian government has limited powers and is not allowed to take actions outside the applicable legal norms. This means that in Indonesian constitutional practice, the law should rule power and not vice versa. However, in reality, the condition of law enforcement in Indonesia is very poor and far from expectations. There is discrimination against justice seekers where ordinary people with all limited resources always lose to the buttocks who own capital and can buy and play with the law at will. As a result, a sharp sword term appears below, but blunt upwards. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to develop the role of the prosecutor's office to also apply unwritten laws not only written to various forms of criminal cases. Thus, the needs of the community from the aspects of welfare and justice can be realized.

Abstract:
Tourism is one of the most important sectors supporting the economy of Indonesia. One way to develop the Indonesian tourism is strengthening the image of Indonesia in the world. To strengthen the image, Indonesia has replaced the old brand, “Visit Indonesia”, and launched a new brand, “Wonderful Indonesia”. Besides the logo, in order to campaign “Wonderful Indonesia,” some television commercials have been launched. An advertising, which creates a powerful image, not only has a great power to influence the viewers but can also be a double-edged sword. Advertising can become a mirror of reality, but it can also become a distorted mirror of reality. A similar case happens with Wonderful Indonesia television commercial, which was released early in 2012 by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The television commercial is considered to have distorted the image of Indonesia in the world by displaying only the culture, society, and nature of Java and Bali. Meanwhile, the other Wonderful Indonesia television commercial, “Feeling is Believing,” which was launched by Indonesia Tourism Board in 2012 considered to have become quite successful framing the beauty, and diversity of the cultures, communities, regions, and natures of Indonesia. Learning from the mistakes, and considering the importance of an image, the future Wonderful Indonesia television commercial should be dealt more carefully. The image that is proper to represent Indonesia, the visual signifier should reflect the intended signified precisely.

Abstract:
Terrorists have a limited sense of national identity. They wish to replace Pancasila ideology with one founded on the Qur'an and hadith. Thus, what about the former terrorist's identity? Former terrorist actors have renounced violence and terror to fight for an ideology (disengagement). However, not all former terrorists declared themselves members of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe the dual identities of former terrorists who have sworn allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach in ex-terrorist Indonesia. Data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed according to the Yin case study perspective with the help of Atlas.ti software. This article demonstrates the dual identity of former Indonesian terrorists. All informants have sworn allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This demonstrates an increase in the national identity of rehabilitated terrorist actors, despite several informants having superordinate national identities. Other findings indicated a subordinate identity, namely the identity of a mujahideen. This identity persists, although the permit has been revoked. Informants continued to wish to establish a caliphate state (including Indonesia), even though they no longer desired violence and terror. Hopefully this research can be used in the deradicalization of terrorist actors in Indonesia.

Abstract:
ChatGPT has gained attention worldwide. In the medical education field, ChatGPT, or any similar large language model, provides a convenient way for students to access information and practice their skills. ChatGPT can simulate patient interactions, allowing students to practice their diagnostic and communication skills in a safe and controlled environment. ChatGPT can also answer questions and provide explanations for complex medical concepts. There have been attempts involving ChatGPT to assist researchers in writing journal articles. Due to its capabilities, ChatGPT has the potential to be abused and sparking ethical concerns. Unwise researchers can now employ ChatGPT to write academic articles. Similarly, irresponsible students, might utilize ChatGPT to cheat during exams. We investigated whether ChatGPT, in its current state, can answer Indonesian medical doctor examination problems. Among the 3 problems that we have picked, ChatGPT can only correctly answer 1 question. We also examine whether ChatGPT-generated abstracts can fool professionals and educators. We have brought 6 abstracts, 3 of which are taken from actual published papers, while the other 3 were generated by ChatGPT. We recruited 12 participants with either a medical doctor (M.D.), a doctorate (Ph.D.), or an M.D., Ph.D. degree from various institutions in Indonesia. Surprisingly, 4 of the participants couldn't guess a single abstract correctly, 6 could only identify 1 abstract accurately, one correctly guessed 2 abstracts, and one correctly identified 3 abstracts. Therefore, it is safe to say that ChatGPT, in its current state, has been able to fool professionals and educators.

The Qur'an is a holy book that revealed by the Most Holy. In order for the sanctity of the Qur'an to be more meaningful and relevant to (as a guide for human life, as a distinguishing between the true and the false), the Qur'an needs to be reflected in the real world. With the presence of "Social Interpretation" model, this is a step forward that needs to be appreciated, as the courage of the mufassir in annuling the Qur’an is not limited to understanding Qur’an, but rather the mufassir actualizes the Qur’an with problems of social political development. Abstract:
Abundant amount of saline soils provides possibility to increase farming acreage in Indonesia. Legume species are good sources of protein for Indonesian daily food. Among legumes species, some species could show more tolerant to salinity and could be potentially cultivated on saline soils. Our present research work was undertaken to evaluate the growth response of legume species to salinity. Alfisol and saline soils, as main factors, used in the study were combined factorially with six legume species (groundnut, soybean, pigeon pea, velvet bean, hyacinth bean and sword bean) as sub-factor. Each factorial treatment was arranged in randomized block designed and was replicated three times. The standard deviation (SD) analysis was used to analyse the effect of salinity to the growth of legume species. Plant height at 15 days after sowing (DAS) and at 50 DAS, shoot diameter at 50 DAS, root dry weight at 50 DAS, shoot dry weight at 50 DAS and leaf dry weight at 50 DAS varied among legume species on Alfisol and saline soils. In general, the plant growth of legume crops, measured as plant height, plant diameter, root dry weight, shoot dry weight and leaf dry weight, was significantly retarded by salinity at different degree. The growth reduction on saline soil was related to higher Na concentration in roots and leaves. The highest and the lowest degrees of retardation by salinity on root, shoot and leaf dry weights were observed on pigeon pea and groundnut, respectively. Soybean, velvet bean, and hyacinth bean showed the degree of growth retardation by salinity between pigeon pea and groundnut. Response to salinity of sword bean was comparable to groundnut. Thus, groundnut and sword bean could be cultivated on saline soil.

Abstract:
On October 20, 2014, Joko Widodo or familiarly known as Jokowi was sworn in as the Seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia. The majority of Indonesian society supports Jokowi because He is simple, honest and populist. The presence of populist leaders in international politics often attracts the attention of Western countries, particularly the United States. Populist leaders are often considered as the authoritarian leaders, anti-democratic, anti-Western, anti-foreign and anti-market. Hugo Chavez from Venezuela and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from Iran are the examples. Chavez and Ahmadinejad are considered as threats by the United States because they challenge the United States led regional and global order. This article will examine the direction of Jokowi’s foreign policy. This article argues that Jokowi is a moderate populist leader. Jokowi is friendly to other countries including the West but still prioritize the national interests. Thus, Indonesia under Jokowi is not a threat to other countries and the West. Political behaviours are common in a workplace, including in a public organisation. However, political behaviours are like a double-edged sword. They could support the management, but on the other hand, they could also turn into a negative side which generates some drawbacks and inhibits the effectiveness of management. This research focuses on types, causes, impacts, and solutions of internal auditors’ political behaviours. We used the phenomenological methodology and qualitative approach. Interviews were conducted with ten auditors from various backgrounds to ensure the validity of the findings. This research revealed four main conclusions. First, there are two types of political behaviour, namely defensive political behaviour and impressive management. Second, the causes of political behaviour are individual and organisational. Third, the political behaviour could impact intrapersonal auditors, interpersonal relationship, and organisation as a whole. Fourth, this research indicates solutions to encounter the problems by improving the human resource system and organisational culture.

Abstract:
Sword koro (Canavalia ensiformis) is one of the local beans commonly used by the community as raw material for making tempeh. Sword M. pruriens have the advantage of being easily cultivated because they are acid-resistant and dry-resistant (Gozal, 2015). In its processing, the M. pruriens contain cyanogen glucoside (HCN) so that when consumed directly it will have a negative effect on the body. The content can be removed by heating, soaking and fermenting. Besides the processing of beans, the other most important part is the stripping process. The epidermis of the koro sword is thick enough so that if it is done traditionally it will result in fatigue for workers and requires a long time. In previous studies that have been carried out there are deficiencies in previous tools that need to be repaired, and therefore will be redesigned on these tools. Some of these parts include the dimensions of the tool, stripping space, and the position of the lever that is not right. As the main media for peeling the koro sword. By considering using anthropometric data and the TRIZ method as a medium for designing the koro sword paring tool, a solution has been obtained. The dimensions and position of the parts used are in accordance with the average height of the human body in Indonesia and the stripping space is changed from vertical to horizontal with a rotary disc.

Abstract:
Sharia digital payments have lately emerged as one of the most significant innovations and breakthroughs in the field of Islamic economics in Indonesia. However, behind the positive side of the use of sharia e-wallets, there is one thing that all parties involved need to pay attention to, which if ignored can become a double-edged sword for its users, namely compliance, security, and personal data protection. The paper aims to investigate how the Indonesian government regulates data privacy for Islamic e-wallet users. It also investigates the potential risks and challenges of Islamic digital payments particularly in regard to data protection. Besides, it also investigates whether or not the sharia e-wallet has complied with the Fatwa of National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI). The study used normative research methods employing statutory, case, and conceptual approaches. This study reveals that the use of sharia e-wallets in Indonesia is essentially in compliance with Islamic principles as stated in the Fatwa of the National Sharia Council. As for the protection of personal data, in fact, this has been regulated in a comprehensive manner by the government and related state institutions such as Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority. However, the government still has work that must be considered in regard to the compliance of sharia digital payment operators with established laws and regulations, where in the event of the operators violated the use of data privacy, thus they will face a severe sanctions stipulated by the prevailed rule.

Abstract:
Information and communication technology has a significant impact on various aspects. Its developments affect daily life, and also give a new color to the political-security dynamics, especially in Indonesia. This depends on the purpose of using information and communication technology, which if not regulated, will become a double-edged sword. The typology of threats is also increasingly varied and transforming, including in the context of security threats in the form of terrorism which involves many dimensions ranging from religion-based terrorism to cyber-based terrorism. The state's response to cyber terrorism as a new security threat phenomenon is examined in this paper in a balanced way using an inward-looking and outward-looking perspective. By using qualitative research methods and descriptive research types, the existing data related to what has been done by Indonesia are interpreted into the form of a governance conception in the context of countering cyber terrorism. Indonesia has identified domestic conditions to be able to optimize its resources. At the same time, Indonesia is also trying to improve its capabilities by conducting international cooperation. So that the governance of countering cyber terrorism in Indonesia still leaves several problems that need to be resolved, such as institutional barriers including organizational culture which is the key to coordination between institutions related to countering cyber terrorism in Indonesia.

Abstract:
AbstractHoping to improve their health system performance, many countries have corporatised their hospitals in the past 20 years. What this means for hospital performance remains as yet largely unknown. This study looks into the association of corporatisation and hospital performance in Indonesia. We apply panel data regression analysis to survey data on 54 public hospitals in East Java province. Our analysis suggests that corporatisation is associated with higher hospital income and expenditure, but fails to improve efficiency and equity. These findings suggest that hospital corporatisation policy in Indonesia should increase emphasis on efficiency and equity rather than on financial performance alone.

Abstract:
<p>Not all family companies choose to float on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. By being an open company an securities company must comply with various regulations from the supervisory institution that makes its various financial decisions limited by regulations and covenants. Limited financial decision making is a double-edged sword. On the one hand this can force the company to make more responsible decisions but on the other hand this independence can make the company lag behind other companies that are more flexible in making financial decisions. There are at least two parties that have an interest in the company's cash flow, namely the lender and the equity investor. On the one hand the company needs funds to carry out the company's plans. This study examines how firms choose capital structure and its impact on firms. The specialty in this study is the family company that has reached the established phase listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The findings of this study are that mature family companies have a tendency to maximize cash flow and maintain a dominant position in capital structure and use short-term debt that is less binding or dealing with large banks.</p>

This research aims to study the way the media frame the trends and the problems of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Indonesia. This research uses Robert N Entman’s framing model to analyze ten headlines in ICT Magazine. The media see the development of ICT as a doubleedged sword, when it is not used wisely it would hurt its users. The development of ICT in Indonesia is characterized by certain interests and the influx of foreign workers having special qualifications which tend to bring disadvantage to the state. In addition, the government’s efforts to develop an internet-based economy gain great concern and positive framing from ICT Magazine.

Abstract:
This research investigated the strategies used by translators of literary works to find equivalence for information on technology. The accuracy and acceptability of the translation were further studied by collecting data from respondents adapting Nababan’s measurement of translation quality. Perceptions of quality and acceptability were further analyzed using Baker’s notion of translation strategies. Corpus used for this study were Indonesian translations of Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen and Glass Sword. Results showed 164 occurrences of technology-aspired information from Red Queen and 153 from Glass Sword using different translation strategies. It was found that respondents perceived that both translations were accurate and acceptable. The accuracy rate was 54.8% of the total responses. Meanwhile, acceptability was shown by 50.2% of the total responses. Interestingly, while there was no problem with translation, possible improvements in translations were seen as personal taste, including respondents’ background knowledge of the technology. It could be concluded that translation strategies used were resorted to more general terms and descriptions, which could be rendered by the translators for readers of such different backgrounds of knowledge. Implications for further study and application of translation studies in the classrooms were also provided.

Abstract:
In order to protect the fundamental rights of a human being from any violations during the process of investigation or trial proceedings, an institution called praperadilan was established through Indonesia Criminal Procedural Law. However, throughout 38 years of this institution implementation in Indonesia, the flaw and weakness of this institution has been identified. The example of weakness themselves posed as a great danger to the human rights of the suspect of accused, as on conducting coercive measures, the law enforcement may conduct the measures not in accordance with the law. This weakness has soon lead the society to thought of an alternative towards this institution, another institution that is better and may solve the weakness posed by praperadilan. The society then turn back to the history, realizing that prior to the implementation of Herziene Indische Reglement (HIR) in 1941 has erase a similar institution with the same purpose as in praperadilan, this institution was commonly known as “Rechter Commisaris”. In order to understand whether this reestablished institution may solve the weakness of praperadilan, the author decides to conducting a research on this topic through implementing normative legal method to procure the necessary materials. This writing will analyze the present status quo of praperadilan through understanding the changes made by Constitutional Court to this institution and identifying the weakness of praperadilan that still relevant in 2019. Then, this writing will further analyze the reasons behind the disappearance of this institution in HIR and Law Number 8 Year 1981 regarding Criminal Procedural Law. Finally, this writing will provide a comprehensive comparison and analysis on whether the present reestablished Rechter Commisaris that was contained within 2011 Draft of Criminal Procedural Law may lead to better protection of fundamental rights of a human being.

Abstract:
Waste trade, like those of other resources, has grown globally. The waste trade must be implemented in order to ensure environmental sustainability and the transition to a circular economy (CE). Waste trade, in the context of CE, serves as a basis for the development of circular business operations by facilitating end-of-life product management activities such as product return, reuse, recycling, and refurbishment. China is regarded as a global leader in recycling and solid waste disposal. Solid waste management is the process of reusing manufactured products to recover and reuse resources including plastics. However, the reassessment of the quality of traded recyclable materials has sparked a global waste governance dilemma. The goal of this study is to bring attention to the environmental consequences of plastic waste in a transition to a CE and the overview of China's national sword policy prohibition law. Using a qualitative approach, this study will analyse, assess, and formulate the practices of the waste trade that is now practised in the business. Various types of waste and how they cause emissions, waste trade and CE, China’s national sword policy and the consequences of worldwide plastic trade on businesses and the environment will be discussed. Additionally, a few steps that should be addressed including appropriate waste management and public awareness are also discussed. China's national sword policy is widely acknowledged to have a substantial effect on its neighbourhood countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. This study concluded with a recommendation for how the developing countries could benefit from China's pathways.

Abstract:
Abstract The execution of capital punishment in Indonesia as stipulated in Law Number 2 Presidential Decree (PNPS) of 1964 by being shot to death is considered a form of criminal torture. Despite various challenges from a number of countries, Indonesia still maintains the death penalty as a form of punishment. The application of capital punishment according to Indonesian criminal law was initially carried out according to the provisions in Article 11 of the Criminal Code which states that "death punishment is carried out by the executioner by hanging by tying the neck of the convict with a noose on a scaffold and dropping a board from under his feet". Because it was deemed inappropriate, the aforementioned article was later amended with the provisions in Article 1 of the rule stating that: "deviating from what is stipulated in other laws regarding this matter, the death penalty is imposed on civilians (not military), as long as the Governor General has not specified otherwise, it is carried out by shooting them to death". The application of capital punishment according to Islamic law has various variations, both through stoning, qishash (with a sword and so on) depending on the sentence imposed. Abstract:
Crimes committed by juveniles today continue to grow, as well as various law enforcement approaches. Juveniles as legal subjects have special attention not only in matters of children’s rights but also in the punishment of children. Various crimes committed by juveniles occur a lot and lead to no longer what is called juvenile delinquency, but a serious crime. The Child Protection Act and the Child Criminal Justice System Law explicitly regulate the protection of children’s rights in the context of human rights. Fostering sanctions for juveniles are one of the ways that are encouraged compared to providing severe criminal sanctions, while here another criminal law is a double-edged sword and ultimum remedium. This paper examines efforts to guide children as an alternative sanction in juvenile criminal law. Studies in this paper include studies of Child Criminal Law, Criminal Law, Human Rights, and the Law on Child Protection.

Abstract:
Abstract In Indonesia, sword beans are still only occasionally grown since the superior variety is not readily available. An alternative breeding technique to enhance plant characteristics is mutation. The goal of this study was to determine how gamma radiation affected the growth and performance of the two Canavalia species. Four accessions of two Canavalia species each received one of five gamma-ray treatments (0, 50, 100, 150, and 200 Gy). Plant morphology during the germination phase, growth type, plant capacity to produce flowers and pods, flowering age, maturity age, seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot, and seed weight per hundred seeds were all observational factors. Using a factorial randomized complete block design, the data were examined. Microsoft Excel was used for the descriptive analysis, whereas STAR software was used for the analysis of variance and further analyses. Gamma-ray doses of up to 200 Gy have not been successful in altering the characteristics or reaching the LD50 in sword bean. The weight of the seeds per plant and per hundred seeds varied significantly, but the dose and accession variables were inconsistent, making it impossible to determine the ideal combination of the two parameters at this time.

Abstract:
As a form of bioterrorism, agricultural terrorism/agroterrorism leads to livestock and crop interventions. Agroterrorism is part of economic warfare, which involves the destruction of a country's agricultural or ecological infrastructure using biological weapons. Agroterrorism leads to a country's food insecurities and the collapse of its economic climate. The development of biotechnology allows the modification of biological elements to result in changes in the characteristics of living things infiltrated by these agents. Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) technology, for instance, is a paradoxical double-edged sword. GMOs can generate economic benefits, but can also result in huge economic losses if they are weaponized as agroterrorism. Using a qualitative approach, this study conducts a policy analysis to explain the factors that impact the absence of food safety policies from agroterrorism threats in Indonesia. Data collection was conducted through literature searches in the form of articles, documents, and policies with the keywords "agricultural terrorism"; "Genetically Modified Organism"; "food insecurity"; "biotechnology", and "national security"; as well as by analyzing the experiences of other countries. As a country with direct land borders with other countries, Indonesia needs extra efforts to secure the country's biodiversity. As one of the consequences of the ASEAN-China free trade, the possibility of agroterrorism events has become more likely to occur in Indonesia. The development of a solid food infrastructure may overcome this problem. Recommendations for safe and resilient food policy scenarios should be pursued to ensure quality food production and sustainable economic growth for a better Indonesia, not only in the present, but for the sake of sustainability in the future.

Exporting countries were forced to duvert their waste to the recipient countries that have not implemented new policies related to the imported waste such as Indonesia. As a result, Indonesia received a significant increase imported waste and cause a negative impact on various sectors, one of which was the environment sector. This then triggered some parties who have concerns regarding environmental issue such as ECOTON to resolve this issue by pressing the government to make new policies to stop imported waste that continues to degrade the environment.the author use a qualitative-descriptive method so that the authors can explain in detail and systematically the role of ECOTON in foreign policy making by using the theory of the direct role of NGOs in foreign policy making as the basis.

Abstract:
In the digital information era such as today, where everyone can express their ideas, it is like a double-edged sword with a contradictory angle between positive and negative. Among the negative ones is the rampant doctrine of "truth and safety claims" that always appear amid society due to fanaticism for specific thoughts and sure scientists. This research seeks to reveal Ghazali's thoughts on alternatives in building Islamic epistemology with an "intuitive" method. Ghazali cannot fully accept the courage that is obtained through the way of "empiricism" and "rationalism" because he considers both of them deceptive. To reach the truth, he offers an integrative approach that unites reason and revelation on the one hand and between Sufism and Shari'a on the other. Ihya Ulum al-Din, the most significant work, Ghazali, is a concrete manifestation of this integrative thought, especially between fiqh and tasawuf (shari'a and essence). This work received a large audience and was widely accepted in the Islamic world, especially in Indonesia.

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the legal regulations regarding the adoption of children of Indonesian citizens by foreign nationals through a court decision process because in this case, the adoption is not a dispute which is then made into a decision, in accordance with the HIR stating that the decision was taken because of a lawsuit. This means that there must be a dispute between the disputing parties. Government Regulation 54 of 2007 concerning the Adoption of Children, contradicts article 184 HIR and needs to be reviewed because this regulation conflicts with the Criminal Procedure Code. Civil evidence is determined by very restrictive evidence, namely the judge in considering his decision is very fixated on the existing evidence. In this case, formal evidence is an authentic letter, namely a letter issued by an authorized agency made by an official who has been sworn in for an act. However, the letter may become inauthentic if a court decision overturns it; as long as there is no cancellation, the judge is bound by an authentic letter because the evidence is perfect evidence, so if the decision to adopt a child becomes void if there is a court decision that cancels it.How to cite item: Lailawati, F.D., Anggriawan, F., Sunarjo, S., Ariyanti, A., Amrulla, M.F., (2022). Abstract:
The need for technology today is increasing and continues to be developed in order to make it easier for humans to carry out their daily activities, because apart from being a medium for providing information, through the Internet, commercial community activities will also become the largest and fastest growing part and can penetrate various national borders. In fact, the existence of some types of business is impossible without this network, market activities in the world can be known for 24 (twenty four) hours. But in reality what is happening today, the development of this era is like a double-edged sword because for the positive we all have to be grateful for it because there are many benefits and conveniences obtained from this technology, for example we can do banking transactions anytime with e-banking, e-commerce It also makes it easy for us to buy or sell an item without knowing the place. In addition, we can find references or information about science is not difficult with the e-library and many more conveniences obtained with the development of the internet. Whereas in a negative nature, the use of this information technology has influenced every attitude and behavior of members of the community, even as a result has also formed a new world society that is no longer hindered by the territorial boundaries of a country to become a "mayantara world" (a world without boundary) or “virtual reality”. The author's purpose in this study is to find out about criminal law policies against bullying in electronic media at this time in Indonesia and criminal law policies in the future as an effort to minimize bullying in electronic media. The current criminal law policy regarding bullying in electronic media in Indonesia is identified with the Criminal Code, and lastly on November 25, 2016, Indonesia has issued Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions involve several articles relating to the form of bullying in electronic media. If we look closely at the laws and regulations in Indonesia, there are still many weaknesses in the criminal provisions regulated in the Criminal Code and the ITE Law to reach the crime of bullying in electronic media. Criminal law policies as an effort to minimize bullying in electronic media can be found in the Draft Criminal Code and comparative studies with other countries on bullying, so that with the establishment of a new Criminal Code and make comparisons from other countries as an effort to minimize bullying in electronic media so as not to jump from year to year in order to see the cheerfulness of Indonesian children.

Globalization cannot be detached from the processes and results of global interconnections. As one of the most remarkable products of globalization, the internet appears to have become an important part of many people’s lives. Among the youth, social media is of particular prominence. This study explores the engagement of a group of Indonesian university students aged 20 to 23—also known as the Generation Z—in using social media. The study specifically attempted to inquire into ways in which they perceive social media to impact their lives.  Questionnaire and individual interviews were used as data collection techniques. Analysis of the data pointed to a high degree of ‘addiction’ to social media use among students in general. The students also revealed both positive and negative impacts of social media use, thus confirming the idea that social media is a double-edged sword that needs to be dealt with carefully and critically.

Abstract—It’s undeniable that the emergence of the internet is like a double-edged sword, on the one hand it has a positive impact and on the other it has a negative impact. The positive impact of the internet is that we can get various information around the world easily. Misuse of domain names has led to a new crime in the cyber world, namely cybersquatting. Criminals take advantage of well-known domain names by making duplicates of those domain names which then register them for resale to other parties at a higher price. This article uses normative legal research, meaning that the issues raised, discussed and described in this research are focused on applying the rules or norms in positive law. This type of normative juridical research is carried out by examining various kinds of formal legal rules such as laws, literatures that are theoretical concepts which are then related to the problems that are the subject of discussion. The results obtained from writing this article are that regulations regarding cyber regulation in Indonesia are not only regulated in KUHP but also regulated in Undang-undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 tentang Perubahan Atas Undang-undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik and that regulations regarding cyber in Indonesia have not yet reached cybersquatting crime.. The current ITE Law is in fact still unable to realize criminal responsibility for cybersquatting perpetrators.

Abstract:
Regulation of The Minister of Finance of The Republic of Indonesia Number 15/PMK.03/2018 on Other Basis to Calculate Gross Income regulates determination of tax payable through indirect evidence other than evidence from bookkeeping. This regulation potentially become double edge sword for the tax authority's mission to collect revenues based on voluntary tax compliance. Based on the Slippery Slope Framework, if the tax authorities maintain the 'cops and robbers’' attitude, voluntary compliance tends to decrease (Kirchler, Hoelzl, and Wahl, 2008). Conversely, voluntary compliance will increase if the tax authorities are perceived to be more efficient in detecting tax fraud and bringing justice. This study presents a literature review as a consideration basis for developing regulatory policies for subordinate regulations of PMK 15/2018 that supports voluntary compliance. Based on the literature review, subordinate regulations of PMK 15/2018 that support voluntary compliance must be reliable, objective, and punishable under legitimate power.

Abstract:
This study is motivated by the incompleteness of law in Law Number 2 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 30 of 2004 concerning the Position of Notaries. The aims of this study are to (1) Identify the laws and regulations in Indonesia regarding the fulfillment of the rights of deaf people who appear before a notary who fulfill the principles of justice and (2) Analyze the regulatory concept regarding the provision of sworn sign language interpreters for deaf people who appear before a notary who fulfill the principles of justice. This study used normative juridical methods through a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. Moreover, legal materials were analyzed through grammatical and systematic interpretation analysis methods. The results of this study show that the Law on Notary Positions and its Amendments does not regulate the provision of sworn sign language interpreters for deaf people who appear before a notary to conduct legal actions in an authentic deed. In addition, it does not regulate the mechanism for a notary's obligation to read an authentic deed in front of interested parties so that a sworn sign language interpreter is required in the process of signing the deed in order to verifying the deed in order to create balanced justice in Law on Notary Position and its Amendments.

Abstract:
Introduction Mouth breathing, the process of air entry from the mouth to the lungs without passing through the nose, is an abnormal behaviour that may imply the presence of a comorbidity. Mouth breathing in children, teenagers, and adults leads to numerous pathological consequences, especially in children. There are several methods available to diagnose mouth breathing, one of them being the provision of questionnaires, however, there is yet any mouth breathing questionnaire that has been translated into Indonesian. Therefore, this research aims to translate the MBD-MBS questionnaire in Indonesian, and conduct a validity and reliability test for the translated questionnaire. Hence, this translated questionnaire may be used as a tool to diagnose the presence of mouth breathing. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted to 33 parents of children in day-cares or preschools in Bandung city that fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Translation of the questionnaire was conducted by a sworn translator after permission was granted by the original author through email. The questionnaire was then distributed to the subjects after being given consent. Afterwards, the validity and reliability test were then conducted using Spearman and Cronbach-α formulas respectively. Results All six questions in the Indonesian translated MBD-MBS questionnaire is validated (rcount > rtable, which is 0.355) and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.643 > 0.6). Conclusion Based on both validity and reliability tests, all questions in the Indonesian-translated MBD-MBS questionnaire are considered valid and reliable. Hence, this questionnaire is suitable to be utilized for further studies about mouth breathing.

Abstract:
Fossil energy (petroleum, coal, natural gas) is a double-edged sword; on the one hand its energy is fuel for development, but on the other hand, its residue contributes to global warming and climate change. Renewable energy as an antithesis of fossil energy is an alternative to answer the problem of the use of fossil energy that is considered unfriendly to the earth. Indonesia as an archipelagic country has an abundance of renewable energy resources that are ready to develop its potential to implement environmentally sensitive development policies. In 2016, LAKPESDAM-PBNU, Center for Energy Studies UGM, Center for Economic Democratic Studies, and Center for Civic Engagement Studies had the opportunity to develop renewable energy systems in three locations, one of which is Rawasari Village, in Jambi. This paper aims to provide an evaluation of the energy system development policy which contains an overview of the dynamics, opportunities, and challenges of the implementation of renewable energy to encourage energy diversification and independence as part of supporting Indonesia's development from the villages.
