Abstract:
Abstract: Starting from the past decade, Indonesia is growing rapidly in the construction of infrastructures that are being fully supported by the government in order to reach the goal of becoming one of the leading countries in the future. Such development created the construction ripple phenomenon that was instigated by the private sector to fill the construction voids left by the rapid development of infrastructure, and it pressurizes cities to grow or change in order to coup with the infrastructure advancements. This phenomenon has affected the cities in Indonesia, even those that are not considered as the planned centers of developments, such as Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta is experiencing the effects of the ripple in the form of the rising number of generic buildings that are spreading fast around the city. This will, in turn, dictate the future of Yogyakarta’s ever-evolving Genius Loci. This research will see how much the construction ripple phenomenon has affected the city of Yogyakarta by conducting surveys on the generic buildings that have been built or in the planning stage of construction. A thorough analysis will be then made, also by conducting literature studies, to conclude the ways and steps to try maintaining Yogyakarta’s unique characteristic as a city in the ever-growing pressure of economic modernization that is currently spreading throughout Indonesia. If these steps are being done correctly, then Yogyakarta can become one of the examples of how cities in Indonesia coup with the construction ripple phenomenon without can losing its unique urban characteristics.

Abstract:
The existence of Chinese descendants in Indonesia is obviously the parcel of well-nurtured pluralism and multiculturalism in this country. Chinese group in Indonesia remains minority among the population. However, this group reins around 70-80% Indonesian economic sectors. In terms of the feeling of nationalism, this group express it differently from other Indonesians. They obtained international recognition and yet they still acclaimed themselves as Indonesians. Plural Indonesian people have various responses and attitude towards this claim. Therefore, the main issue is not the type of nationalism, but is in the attitudes as Indonesian nation wherever and whenever it takes. This paper investigates some activities done by Chinese descendants through their organizations called INTI (Indonesian-Tionghoa Association).

Abstract:
Cases of Indonesian migrant workers who are not paid their pay or get pay that are not in accordance with the employment agreement still occur. BP3TKI Yogyakarta receives a complaint report from migrant workers who have returned to Indonesia related to unpaid wages. Therefore, a solution is needed to be able to give the right to wages for migrant workers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of legal protection for wages for Indonesian migrant workers in the Yogyakarta Special Region. The type of research used in this study is empirical juridical. The location of this research is in Yogyakarta Special Region. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews and document studies. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of the study show that the fulfillment of the right to wages after migrant workers return to Indonesia has a problem in the settlement because the position of migrant workers has returned to Indonesia. Many cases occur only because Indonesian migrant workers, especially those from Yogyakarta Special Region, do not report to the BP3TKI Yogyakarta with the reason that they are reluctant to take care of and do not have confidence that their rights will be fulfilled. Cases of settlement of existing wages have been successfully resolved through mediation efforts between BP3TKI Yogyakarta and migrant workers / families of migrant workers and agents that channel migrant workers to work abroad. In addition to efforts through mediation, a method was also taken, namely with the BP3TKI Yogyakarta sending a letter of request for settlement assistance to the Indonesian Embassy. The Indonesian Embassy will mediate with the employer / company where the migrant worker works to fulfill the rights of the migrant worker who has returned to Indonesia.

Photography is an art of seeing. In other words, photography taught us a unique way of seeing the world and provide a new awareness of the beauty in all around us. Photography also teaches us to look deeper, dig meaning, and understand that foster a sense of love that can create inspiration. Abstract:
In recent years, more rural areas are becoming urban areas accompanied by escalation of logistics activities. Unlike passenger transport, the planning, policy and control of freight transport in developing countries have not been integrated into a reliable and efficient logistics system. Therefore, generating city logistics profile is necessary in order to support the planning of urban logistics system. This study aims to establish a logistics profile of Yogyakarta city, Indonesia, by dividing urban zones into several homogeneous groups, judging from several aspects, including city area features, product characteristics and agents/delivery profile. Logistics profile variables were calculated based on administrative boundaries, resulting in 45 areas to be investigated. Profiles were matched in groups of homogeneous stores (A), large commercial stores (C) and residential areas with local trade (D),with one overlapping profile, i.e. profile A and profile D, in some locations in the middle of the city.

Abstract:
The Papuan Student Alliance (AMP) is a Papuan student organization that voices problems in Papua, especially politics. AMP has goals for Papuan independence which are contained in the organization's vision and platform. AMP itself is divided into seven committees in various cities, one of which is the Yogyakarta City Committee. The results of this study conclude that the Papuan nationalism that has developed within the Yogyakarta KK AMP is due to several reasons, among others; 1) Indonesia is considered a failure in carrying out nation-building in Papua; 2) Experience of violence experienced by the Papuan people; 3) The basic needs of the Papuan people are not fulfilled. Apart from the historical factor of Papua which has a strong connection with Papuan nationalism, the failure of nation-building by Indonesia in Papua is also a factor that makes Papuan nationalism continue to develop in the Yogyakarta KK AMP. In the construction of Papuan nationalism, the Yogyakarta KK AMP builds a shared identity through shared psychology regarding the oppression experienced by the Papuan people so far. The joint history that was formed by the AMP KK Yogyakarta is about Papua which has made efforts to become independent and then this independence was annexed by Indonesia. For the AMP KK Yogyakarta, the Papuan people have experienced violence (memoria passionis), land grabbing, exploitation of natural resources, discrimination, marginalization, and the crisis of freedom. Therefore, the common goal of AMP KK Yogyakata is Papuan independence as an initial stage towards a better Papua.

Abstract:
The construction projects that are currently being carried out in Kulon ProgoRegency, Yogyakarta Special Province, Indonesia, started on 2018, are large-scale projects. The projects include the construction of airports, seaports, industrial estates, southern crossing lanes and the construction of Menoreh lanes. The large-scale projects require a very large supply of andesite rocks for material construction. In Kulon Progo Regency itself, there is a huge potential of andesite rock relate to two geological formations (Kebo Butak and Andesite Intrusion) exist in the region, which is found mostly in Kokap District and partly in Temon District. One parameter that determines the quality of andesite rock is their compressive strength. Due to weathering, not all of the andesite in both formation can be classified as good quality rocks. According to Indonesian Standard, theminimum compressive strength of natural stone for stakes and curbstone is 500 kg/cm2 , for lightweight building foundation is 800 kg/cm2 , for medium building foundations is 1000 kg/cm 2and for heavy building foundations is 1500 kg/cm 2 . Based on this background, this paper have objectives to know the quality of andesite rock exist in the research area and to determine the zonation of good quality andesite rock for building androad materials in the research area. Field observation were conducted to map the occurrence of andesite rock. Totally 68 rock samples were collected during field observation and tested by point load test method to know its compressive strength value. The distribution of good quality rock in the research area were determine based on spatial analysis procedure in geographical information system. Results show that andesite rocks found in research area have a compressive strength ranging from 167.12 kg/cm 2 to 2783.37 kg/cm 2 . From 53 samples taken from igneous rock intrusion, it showed that 7.55 % had low quality, 13.21 % had medium quality, 30.19 % had good quality and 49.06 % had very good quality. From the 16 samples taken from the Kebobutak Formation, it showed that 12.50 % had low quality, 18.75 % had good quality and 67.75 % had very good quality. The final map of rock quality zonation reveals 28.92 % of research area classify as low quality, 2.52 %medium quality, 37.68 % good quality and 30.88 % very good quality. It can be concluded that almost 70 % of andesite in the Kokap and Temon District can be used for the running large scale projects.

Abstract:
Geothermal manifestations in Parangtritis, Indonesia, known as Parang Wedang Hot Spring, indicate a geothermal system in the subsurface. This circumstance motivated our research to model the Parang Wedang geothermal system in order to determine its subsurface conditions. Geological mapping, the geophysical method, and geochemical analysis were integrated to produce a conceptual model of the Parang Wedang geothermal system. The study area consists of structural hills, karst hills, and eolian plains with andesite breccias, limestone, andesite, and sand deposits as lithological variations. The results of magnetic modeling indicate that the research area is associated with the presence of an andesite intrusion and shows a NE-SW trending geological structure that is thought to be a path for hydrothermal fluid to the surface. Geochemical analysis was performed at two hot springs with temperatures of 47 °C and 49 °C. Geothermometer calculation showed that the geothermal reservoir in Parang Wedang has a temperature of 100 to 120 °C, a depth of about 180 to 285 m, and can be classified as a low enthalpy geothermal system.

Abstract:
Abstract Whether climate change is real or not, the daily basis phenomena and its evidences should be our concern nowadays. Yogyakarta is one of the provinces that are vulnerable to the impact of climate change in Indonesia. The specific responses to climate change phenomena in Yogyakarta province are indirectly correlated to landscape characteristics. These characteristics are important aspects for the assessment and development of new approaches to address the impacts of climate change. Therefore, this paper presents the status of landscape vulnerability to climate change in Yogyakarta province to consider the issues of mitigation and adaptation to climate change. Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was applied to determine the objective of the research. The results of previous studies were reviewed in depth and combined with field observations to build a strong argument before evaluating the matrices and weights in the AHP steps. The result analysis showed that the most vulnerable landscape in Yogyakarta province is the anthropogenic landscape, which is located in Yogyakarta city. Furthermore, the combination of population density and poor sanitation management should be considered as a factor in mitigating and adapting to climate change in Yogyakarta city.

Abstract:
AbstractThere were two important things that happened in Serang (Banten) after the Indonesian independence was proclaimed on August 17, 1945: social revolution, and printing of money for Banten. In 1947 the Dutch army under the protection of the Allies blockaded either land and sea, cutting off communications between central (Yogyakarta) and regional (Serang) government. The central government in Yogyakarta gave permission to Serang to print money so that economic activity could still be running. The money was called URIDAB (Uang Republik Indonesia Daerah Banten, or the money of the Republic of Indonesia in Banten). The research questions are why central government gave permission to Banten to print money and why the Dutch army blockaded the economy. To answer these questions the author conducted histoy methods: heuristic, critique, interpretation, and historiography. Research finds that when the capital of Indonesia moved from Jakarta to Yogyakarta during the Dutch military aggression, communications were cut off and it was difficult for central government in Yogyakarta to make contact to regional governments. Therefore, the central government authorized the Resident of Banten, Achmad Chatib, to print its own money.

Abstract:
Tourism village plays significant role for strengthening Indonesia soft power. The experience of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) province proves that the development of tourism villages contribute in promoting “the power” of Indonesia through art, culture, custom and food to international society. Tourism Villages that located at Sleman, Bantul, Gunungkidul, Kulonprogo and city of Yogyakarta (called as tourism kampong) succeeded in attracting foreigners to stay and live as villagers, enjoy villagers daily live and learn Javanese culture. The study was conducted by observation and interviews. Data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative techniques. Data categorized and given a qualitative analysis of narrative. This research showed that tourism village is a new kind of tourism object that produce a new close relationship between Indonesian people and foreigners, functioned as a tool to make foreigners love Indonesia, prolong their stay in Indonesia, and promote Indonesian culture when they come back to their country. DIY’s experience is a best practice for other provinces in Indonesia to develop and promote its own distinctive tradition and culture through tourism villages. Abstract:
This study analyses the implementation of legal pluralism theory in a unitary state, such as the Republic of Indonesia, for historical and political purposes. The Special District Province of Yogyakarta, formally known as Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate, is one of the provinces whose territory and government have existed before Indonesia’s independence. When Sultan Hamengku Buwono led this province as the king, it significantly enjoyed many privileges within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, which apply to date. However, it is still possible to find discriminatory policies, especially in the agrarian sector, aimed explicitly at the Indonesian Chinese community due to the implementation of the Governor Instruction of 1975. As a result of this policy, the Indonesian Chinese are not entitled to land ownership rights in this region. This discriminatory policy serves as a window to explain how the social, cultural, political, and historical structures of Yogyakarta impact the implementation of the legal pluralism concept within the Republic of Indonesia. Historical and legal approaches within the socio-legal framework are used in this research.

Abstract:
Abstract In order to increase employment, community income, regional income, state income, and foreign exchange profits, efforts to develop and utilize various tourism potentials are one of the core industries that can drive economic activity, including other connected sector activities. Yogyakarta’s various tourism potentials are linked to other tourism accommodations, such as hotel buildings. In December 2019, the number of tourists to Yogyakarta who stayed in hotels reached 9.01 million. Of course, tourists’ water requirements are numerous, causing the groundwater level to drop. The reduction of groundwater levels is coupled with sloping topography, which increases the risk of soil fissures in the Yogyakarta city region. Because it is located in the ring of fire, Yogyakarta is vulnerable to earthquakes. Based on microtremor data, the goal of this study was to identify regions prone to earthquake-induced soil fissures caused by excessive groundwater extraction. Geological investigations and microtremor measurements are used in the research. The findings suggest that most of the study region has the potential for soil fracture due to earthquakes, with ground share strain values on the order of 10-4. However, no liquefaction potential because the most significant value of ground share strain is 0.000141.

Yogyakarta is one of the provinces where people are still aware of their oral tradition. Oral tradition as a culture contains aspects of life of a society. Types of oral tradition are verbal oral traditions, half-oral traditions, and non-verbal (material) oral traditions. Narrating the tradition in written form becomes an effort in documentation, both in Javanese and Indonesian narratives. To translate it from the original language (Javanese) to Indonesian language creates some problems. The narrative script of the oral tradition still requires a lot of improvements in terms of language and the content of story. This research aims to train and assist people of Yogyakarta to write down their oral traditions. The activity specifcally aims to create texts of oral tradition in Yogyakarta which can be published into a semi popular book. The program, then, should be followed up by cultural discussions on oral tradition in Yogyakarta. The focus of the study was on models/approaches and main issues. In general, for more than half a century, the comparative study of religion is not been done for academic purposes an sich. Just within the new last decade that theoretical studies of Comparative Religion began developed. Another important thing that the study of Comparative Religion in Indonesia, although mostly referring to the methodological sources of the West and the Middle East, but ithas always been associated with religious and cultural context of Indonesia. Therefore, the study on both UIN Yogyakarta and Jakarta always deliver courseson religions that live in Indonesia alongside with Indonesian contemporary issues. In the reform era, though still using Comparative Religion’s term, butit looks religious studies such as used in the West. Thus, its “form” or “clothes”is Comparative Religion but it is religious studies.</p> <p>Artikel ini fokus pada bagaimana studi Perbandingan Agama yang dilakukan di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan tinggi Islam Indonesia, yaitu pada UIN Yogyakarta dan Jakarta sejak awal Orde Baru (1960) Reformasi era (2014). The Special Region of Yogyakarta is a Special Region at the provincial level in Indonesia which is the fusion of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta and the Paku Alaman Duchy. The Special Region of Yogyakarta is located in the southern part of the Indonesian Island of Java, and is bordered by the Provinces of Central Java and the Indian Ocean. Specialties of the Special Region of Yogyakarta must also play a role as an autonomous region implementing decentralization. However, the problem is that the policies, implementers and implications of decentralization have not been able to improve the welfare of the people. This can be seen from the level of income gap in the Special Region of Yogyakarta getting higher. Even the gap in the Special Region of Yogyakarta is above the national figure. The Government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta is expected to be able to encourage and run activities programs that are focused on people&#39;s welfare. Development must be directed to create jobs and increase community income so that people&#39;s welfare increases. Abstract:
Tourism is one of the sectors which defines the identity of a country. In Indonesia, rich in culture and nature, the use website is benefited by the government to portray as well as gain profit from the tourism sites. This paper, thus, intends to discuss how the environment in Yogyakarta tourism is criticized on the website. The interest of linguistics to criticize how its usage affects the environment triggers the development of ecolinguistics. Saphir distinguishes three ecological territories: physical, economic and social. Ecological domains are exercised to present Yogyakarta on Wonderful Indonesia, the official website of Indonesian tourism. This paper observed the employment of clauses of Yogyakarta text found in the Destination Highlight on the front page of the website at www.indonesia.travel on March 31, 2019. The method applied is ecolinguistics by exercising the ideational metafunction of language proposed by Halliday's Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) to figure out how the website portrays the real world of Yogyakarta environment seen from the choice of process, participants and circumstances. The analysis reveals that social environment dominates the website, meaning that Yogyakarta is advertised as a carrier and attribute in terms of its culture and value. Yogyakarta, is attached to the attributes as a city with respect for values. This paper proposes criticizes to present Yogyakarta through material processes to demonstrate how local people, as well as tourists, value and engage in preserving the environment of Yogyakarta.

Abstract:
In general, many people still view mathematics as a subject that is far from reality and culture in everyday life. Historically, in fact, mathematics is very close to daily life and was developed by humans in response to the surrounding phenomena. Indonesia has diverse cultures, including in Yogyakarta. This culture can be used to explore mathematical concepts as a transformational effort to bring mathematics closer to the reality and perception of its people. Besides, we can use culture as the basis of learning mathematics in schools. Therefore, this study seeks to explore a mathematical concept of geometry transformation in the Yogyakarta batik pattern. This is an ethnography study. The research data were collected through observations, literature studies, and interviews with the batik culture practitioner and artist to understand the batik techniques and moral, historical, and philosophical values in each batik motif. This study's results indicate that in Yogyakarta batik, it uses the concept of geometry transformation in the making of Yogyakarta's unique Batik motif. Besides that, each motif or pattern also contains local values. These, namely moral, historical, and philosophical values, can be felt, reflected, and applied in daily life, such as values that teach leadership, good deeds, and so on.

For more than forty years, the Yogyakarta Sultanate has applied discriminatory policy on law ownership to Chinese Indonesian. Historically, the Chinese descendants have not been able to own land except Building Rights or HGB. This policy was outlined in the Regional Head Instructions Number K.898/I/A/75. The research analyzes what is the legal basis of application the disminatory policy on land ownership for Chinese-Indonesia. The research uses normative and empirical legal research with constitutional and local regulation approach. The result of research shows that the Special Region of Yogyakarta imposed a Discriminative Land Ownership Policy to the Chinese-Indonesia is due to historical reason, when the Giyanti Agreement of 1755 sued the Chinese traitor group to the Sultanate. Since then, the Instructions Letter of the Regional Head of DIY PA. VII/No. K/898/I/A/75 was issued to Prohibit the Property rights of Non-Indigenous Indonesian citizens. The research recommends that the Government of Special Region of Yogyakarta should re-considers and reviews the time limitation of banning land ownership to Chinese-Indonesia in the light of respecting the constitutional rights of new generation of the Chinese-Indoensia. This recommendation, off course, needs some requirements for the Chinese-Indonesia such as statement of loyalty to the Sultanate and limitation of the area they may have land ownership.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Malioboro is a famous tourism area in Yogyakarta City, in which there aremany hotels and increases every years and this follows by the increasing needs of fresh water taken from underlying groundwater. The decreasing of groundwater table become a great issue on this area, therefore the objective of the research is to predict groundwater table change in the next 10 years due to increase abstraction of groundwater. To answer the mentioned objectives, field observation of dug wells and collection of secondary data of log bores also calculation of recharge and water abstraction are used to understand and build the conceptual model of local groundwater system. The prediction is done by conducting simulation on a numerical groundwater model by using MODFLOW. The local groundwater system consists of two aquifer layers; upper aquifer and lower aquifer which separated incompletely by clay layer. Simulation is conducting by distributing the groundwater pumping for domestic and non-domestic utilization by dug wells in the upper aquifer, whereas deep wells non-domestic utilization are applied only in the lower aquifer. Simulations are conducted twice for the recent day and the next ten years predictionof groundwater abstraction. In the case of groundwater abstraction in the next tenyears, dug wells abstraction and deep wells pumping are setting to 4727 m3/day and 1648 m3/day, respectively. The groundwater pumping rates is representing increase of groundwater withdrawal of users in the range only between 0.2–1.2 % per year compare to the recent condition. The simulation reveals change occur on groundwater table depth and pattern. In average, the groundwater table will decrease of about 0.25 meter.

Abstract:
Indonesia is one of the world's richest nations in terms of its biodiversity. One of the biological resources that has an important role in marine life is macroalgae. As a primary producer, macroalgae play an important role in the coastal environment. Porok Beach is a beach in the Gunungkidul district of Yogyakarta, Java Island, Indonesia. Porok beach is dominated by a rocky substrate, which would be the ideal substrate for macroalgae. The development of coastal areas as a tourism destination is feared to have an impact on macroalgae biodiversity. Comprehensive efforts are required to protect the coastlines of Porok Beach as sources of macroalgae germplasm that will ensure the survival of coastal biodiversity in Gunungkidul. So, it is necessary to study macroalgae diversity in Porok Beach to obtain a preliminary data to conserve. the macroalgae in the area. This study aims to monitor the presence of the macroalgae on Porok Beach. Purposive random sampling was used in the study, which took place on October 17th, 2020. Water temperature and pH are the ecological parameters that are measured. Seaweed specimens were collected only from those that were attached to the substrate (no floating specimens were collected) during low tide and then placed in ziplock plastic bags. Macroalgae species were identified to determine macroalgae species based on taxonomic keys using FAO species identification Guide for Fishery From the results of the study, Porok Beach was home to 17 species of macroalgae, eight of which were classified as Chlorophyta, 3 species are classified as Phaeophyta, and 6 species are classified as Rhodophyta.

Abstract:
Abstract The application of an intermodal transportation integration system will make it easier for people to carry out activities, guarantee travel travel time, and optimize the use of public transportation, and have an impact on reducing the use of private vehicles which can affect road performance. The policy for implementing the transportation integration system needs to be considered in order to accommodate travel activities by following regional development conditions. This study aims to determine the management integration and the constraints in implementing the transportation integration system. This study uses a qualitative method by taking into account the aspects of the policy which involve elements of regulators, operators and consumers. This research shows that the regulator is able to carry out the management of the transportation integration system through the implementation of government affairs in the transportation sector, however, there are obstacles in the form of regulatory linkages, coordination and limited authority. So it is necessary to optimize the role of regulators to be able to coordinate intensely with public transport operators in order to realize an integrated transportation system management that can meet the travel needs of the community.
