Abstract:
Urbanization is still the main step taken by the community to get improved living conditions. Many developing countries have a high level of urbanization in cities due to the certainty of higher income levels. However, the problems that arise as a result of urbanization concern the environmental and social impacts of society. The purpose of this study is to show that the consequences of urbanization carried out by the community have a serious impact on environmental conditions. Urbanization, FDI, and fuel consumption affect environmental conditions as seen from the indicator of increasing carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) in Indonesia in 1990-2016.

Abstract:
Natural disasters have a negative impact on various aspects of life. Through natural disasters, the order of life in an area will be disrupted. The social condition of society is one component that has a negative impact. Therefore, this research aims to determine the negative impact of natural disasters on the social aspects of society. The data used in this research comes from 2021 Podes data and the 2022 and 2023 Social Resilience Index. The method used in this research is multiple linear regression. The results of this research indicate that natural disasters have a negative impact on social aspects. Of the three independent variables in this study, it is known that volcanic eruptions have the deepest significant negative impacts, both 1 year after the event and 2 years after the event. Through this research, it is known that the social aspects of society will be negatively impacted by natural disasters. For this reason, an extra role is needed from the government to carry out evacuations when a disaster occurs, and also carry out mitigation from the start in order to minimize negative impacts.

Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the practice of social justice counseling and pastoral counseling services in Indonesia. In addition, from the results of empirical and theoretical understanding, a conceptual framework for social justice counseling with the pastoral function of Indonesia will be created. This framework is built to have different characteristics as Rats, and Pedersen developed social justice. To produce a comprehensive and natural analysis, the method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study design. The study results show that the church in the current context still practices the counseling model as pastoral counseling grows and develops without regard to the context in which pastoral counseling is carried out. In addition, the counseling model that is applied only focuses on strengthening the counselee's spirituality, while other aspects that come into contact with the counselee's daily real life, such as sociological, biological, and psychological conditions, receive less serious attention. Based on these weaknesses, a conceptual framework was designed that accommodated all the conditions often faced by counselees so that a conceptual framework for social justice counseling was built with a more comprehensive and empowering Indonesian pastoral function.

Abstract:
<p class="apa">Since 1998, regional governments in Indonesia have had greater autonomy due to the commencement of a reformation movement across Indonesia. Large portions of education management were delegated to the regional governments. Because of this, the education level varies strongly across Indonesia’ provinces. Referring to the data provided by the Indonesian Bureau of Statistics, it is found that Eastern Indonesia generally has a higher rate of uneducated than Western Indonesia. We review the current condition of Indonesian education in terms of regional disparity among eastern and western provinces and study the correlation between inequality in education and other related aspects, such as social and economic conditions. We find that inequality issues on socio-economic conditions are reflected in the education disparity between Eastern and Western Indonesia. By employing panel data with provinces as units of observations, we find that the difference in regional development among Indonesian provinces influences education issues. By evaluating the standard deviation of the statistic we were able to identify socio-economic factors that influence the regional education disparity.</p>

Abstract:
The measure of welfare is not only about material prosperity but also about happiness. The sandwich generation has a dual role to play in influencing their happiness. On the other hand, social capital also affects happiness. There are several mechanisms by which social capital affects happiness, including health conditions, household income, and education. This study aims to analyze specifically how social capital influences the happiness of the sandwich generation in Indonesia. This study uses SPTK 2017 data, analyzing the head of household or partner of the sandwich generation and non-sandwich generation. Using OLS estimation, the study found that the happiness index in the sandwich and non-sandwich generations are not significantly different. However, social capital generally has a significant effect on happiness. In addition, health conditions were found to be a variable that becomes a mechanism for how social capital affects happiness. Increasing the value of social capital in the poor health sandwich generation will be more beneficial in increasing their happiness. Meanwhile, household income and education were not found to be mechanisms for social capital.

Abstract:
This article provides an analysis of the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 40 of 2004 concerning the National Social Security System. In the implementation of the National Health Insurance, which is part of social security, only provides guarantees to the poor, this is contrary to the purpose of the establishment of social security legislation which guarantees to provide Jamian to all Indonesian citizens without being based on the social, cultural and economic conditions of citizens which causes injustice because it is contrary to the constitution of the republic of Indonesia. Another fact that can be observed is the gap in health facilities and health resources between provinces, districts/cities. The number of doctors who are only scattered in big cities, hospital facilities and health centres between the island of Java and eastern Indonesia which creates a very large gap and is very influential in health services. People in cities and on the island of Java can enjoy all the benefits of health insurance, this is inversely proportional to JKN participants on the islands, especially those in eastern Indonesia.

The rapid growth of electronic marketplaces in Indonesia, coupled with government encouragement for businesses, necessitates a thorough understanding of sellers' adoption factors. This study investigates the influences on e-marketplace application adoption among active Indonesian sellers, incorporating gender, age, and experience as moderating variables. Employing SMARTPLS4 and PLS SEM analysis, the research identifies significant impacts of effort expectancy, performance expectancy, and price value on e-marketplace selling behavior. Contrarily, facilitating conditions and social influence show no effect. Age moderation significantly influences effort expectancy and price value, emphasizing the importance of tailored strategies for different age groups. Gender and experience, however, do not significantly moderate the results. Sellers' expectations emphasize the need for stakeholders to ensure fairness in online transactions, urging the government to establish appropriate e-marketplace regulations, aligning with sellers' needs for a thriving digital marketplace ecosystem.

In the 25 years after the reform, Indonesia has tried various schemes to be able to carry out democratization so that it can be accepted by the Indonesian people themselves and even aims to get a positive international image. In the dynamics that occur, the development of political democracy in Indonesia gives rise to a social and political dynamics known as primordial politics and identity politics. These two approaches become true when we look at the conditions and dynamics of politics and democracy that occur in Indonesia. Moreover, the position of the regions has a significant role in contributing to the development of democracy and politics at the center. The region is an interesting area to discuss considering that the region is part of the political administration which has a strong influence on the center. This happened during the Indonesian reformation that occurred in 1998. Where the centralized concept became decentralized with the emergence of regional autonomy. In other words, the region has full power and authority to determine its political and economic direction. Of course, under other conditions it would be better. But on the other hand there are sociological consequences that must be accepted after the reform. The development of democracy in Indonesia actually produces primordial politics and identity politics, which are difficult to avoid. So it could be that Indonesia itself is aware that these two approaches are indeed taking place and cannot be avoided. Therefore, it is necessary for us to understand that primordial politics and identity politics today are a social reality and fact that occur in the dynamics of politics and democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract:
Abstract The Indonesian state and local community have been conducting forest co-management as part of a new social forestry program initiative. This initiative is proposed to overcome environmental degradation as well as to enhance community well-being by increasing economic outcome of the forest. However, this program has the potential for conflict because of asymmetry between resources dedicated to approving social forestry permits versus capacity building, monitoring, and evaluating management outcomes. The social innovation approaches have been adopted as a potential solution to address complex social forestry program. This article aims to explore how social innovation and village governance in forest communities works. The research framework is designed by modifying the social innovation concept from the Theoretical, Empirical and Policy Foundations for Building Social Innovation in Europe (TEPSIE). Qualitative method is applied, by conducting in-depth interview and focus group discussion with forest policy experts, village authorities, and other stakeholders. Two neighbouring villages namely Sirnajaya and Tugu Utara in the Bogor District, West Java are visited. Sirnajaya represents village with strong government support by the Pilot Program for Incubation of Village Innovation in Local Economic Development (PIID-PEL), while Tugu Utara represents a strong society initiative in local development. The result reveals that social innovation has worked at different phases. However, good cooperation between formal and informal actors can have a better outcome on village development, compared to if each moves independently. The extension of social innovation and network of development can become an engine of village growth to the larger scope. The successful management for social forestry in Indonesia needs to be based on a hybrid governance model that needs to be “good” and “proper”. Therefore, the designs and practices for social forestry governance must be developed in more socially inclusive, reflected local social-economic, political, and cultural conditions.

Abstract:
Social Studies education in Indonesia has emerged and evolved through several changes in accordance with the conditions of the Indonesian nation. The aim of this research is to understand the development of Social Studies learning at the Elementary School level from its inception until now. This research utilizes qualitative analysis techniques. Qualitative analysis is a data analysis process that does not involve numerical data, and generally, the results of qualitative analysis are subjective. The data collection method involves a literature review, where data is gathered by reading and analyzing literature that has been found and studied by other researchers. There are four stages of literature review in the research process: preparing the necessary tools, compiling a bibliography, organizing time, and reading or recording research materials. The literature obtained from various references is critically and deeply analyzed to support propositions and ideas. The results of data analysis indicate that the current development of Social Studies learning in Indonesia is not similar to the early introduction of Social Studies education in the country. The field of Social Studies entered Indonesia from the United States, where it is known as social studies. America is considered one of the countries with extensive experience and significant academic reputation in the field of Social Sciences

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to describe the public's reception of essays by Indonesian public figures, namely Dahlan Iskan, on social media. The ease with which social media is used to communicate has increased the involvement of the audience in receptive to a work. In fact, audience receptions on social media are often used as a reference in assessing whether or not a work is good. Therefore, research on reader reception on social media is interesting to do. This research uses qualitative methods and the research approach used is reception study. In this study, the theory of active audiences in the form of the encoding-decoding model proposed by Stuart Hall is also used. The results showed that there were three typologies of audiences in receptive to Dahlan Iskan's essays, namely there were four models of readers in receptive to DI essays on social media. The four reader models include (a) dominant-hegemonic readers, (b) negotiating readers, (c) oppositional readers, and (d) recreational readers. The categorization of this reader model is based on the position of the reader towards the text being received. Apart from these four categories, ideological-political readership models are also found, namely readers who are not dominant, negotiating, in opposition, or recreational. Readers of this model respond to the work by relating it to political conditions. Whatever works are received, readers of the ideological-political model always relate the content of the work and comment negatively on the political conditions in Indonesia.

Abstract:
This study discusses how to apply human rights law as a means of social control over gender in Indonesia, how to treat and improve the community for transgender people in Indonesia, the inhibiting factors for implementing protection for transgender people in Indonesia and how to respect the rights of transgender groups. The method used in this scientific article is a normative-empirical legal research method. The normative-empirical legal research method is basically a combination of a normative legal approach or based on statutory regulations with the addition of various empirical elements or seeing every legal event within the scope of the general public. It can be concluded that the normative-empirical legal research method is an approach or implementation of normative law in every aspect of legal events that occur in the community. The aim is to find out the importance of providing protection to transgender people as Indonesian citizens and further about legal protection for transgender people and how it is implemented. From the results of the study, it can be seen that legal protection as an Indonesian citizen from discrimination has indeed been running but has not been maximized. The problem with providing protection to transgender people is that there is still no firm stance from the government in dealing with the issue of protection for transgender people and the absence of legal regulations specifically made for transgender conditions and the attitude of people who are still indifferent to transgender people.

Abstract:
Currently there are many social conflicts that arise due to differences in religion and belief. Therefore it is important for government agencies to make a breakthrough program to deal with these situations and conditions. One of the programs that has been implemented is the religious moderation program that has been echoed by the Indonesian Ministry of Religion since 2016. This research aims to dig deeper regarding the religious moderation policy in Indonesia that has been implemented by the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, especially in the field of education. By using the literature study research method, the results of the research show that as a multicultural country, Indonesia has a variety of ethnicities, cultures and religions, so that this diversity has the potential to create conflict between ethnic, cultural and even religious groups. Therefore, mainstreaming religious moderation appears as an alternative to establishing peace between people in diversity. Religious moderation education policies are carried out in the framework of maintaining inter-religious harmony in Indonesia with the main objective of reducing intolerance, religious fanaticism and extremism that can threaten social stability and national security. In the context of globalization and technological advances, religious moderation education can help students understand the role of religion in modern life and how to develop positive values ??from religion.

Indonesia is a country that has a very abundant cultural diversity. Cultural diversity in Indonesia consists of ethnic groups, traditions, community cultures and so on. Cultural diversity is tied to various languages, religions, sciences, social systems, kinship, political and economic systems at the local level. There is a lot of diversity in Indonesia, not only the culture but the social conditions of the people are also different from one another. However, this does not divide Indonesian society. Problems or conflicts may be common in social life. However, this does not make the Indonesian people divided between one another. An organization is a forum for a collection of individuals with the same goals and interests. Through an organization one is able to gain the power to change a policy or move the masses. Abstract:
This study aimed to estimate the work capacity of older Indonesians based on their health condition and other characteristics. Two analytic methods were used in this analysis—the Milligan–Wise method and the Cutler–Meara–Richards-Shubik method—and they found relatively small and substantial additional work capacities, respectively. The results showed that mortality alone may not be able to explain the additional work capacity due to only small improvements in the health conditions of older people. The effect of poverty, the dominance of the informal sector, low educational attainment and skills, and inadequate government social protection and assistance were also responsible for the continued employment of older people until serious health conditions halted their economic activities. Thus, several features were highlighted in this study: (i) the feasibility of extending the pensionable age, (ii) flexible terms for a pension scheme for informal workers, (iii) improved health conditions by expanding the noncontributory health insurance, and (iv) upgraded skills for older workers.

Abstract:
The Indonesian government began using the term “new normal” in mid-May 2020, which prompted debate in the community and was reflected on social media. Therefore, the goal of this study was to use Twitter-based social media text analysis to depict the Indonesian public’s impression of new normal conditions during the COVID-19 epidemic. We performed a text analysis on Twitter using the phrases “new normal” and “kenormalaan baru” with a time period of 1-31 July 2020 and location restrictions in Indonesia. The words associated with “new normal” are then described in a word cloud map and sorted in a flipped bar chart. We also performed a network bi-gram network analysis to identify word correlations in order to identify sentiments from Twitter text. When compared to other words, the word “covid” has the highest frequency. Other words linked with health protocols, such as “cuci” (wash), “tangan” (hand), “jaga” (maintain), and “jarak” (distance), appeared 1,138, 1501, 3.343, and 2.131 times, respectively, according to unigram analysis. Bigram network analysis reveals discrete clusters of phrases such as “protokol kesehatan” (health protocol), “wash hands” (cuci tangan), “jaga jarak” (physical distance), and “wear mask” (pakai masker). The word connections “covid,” “pandemi” (pandemic), “lupa” (forget), “maskernya” (the mask), “lakukan” (do), “social”, “distancing”, “luar” (outside), “rumah” (home) also conveyed a remark about standard measures in the new normal period.

Abstract:
Indonesia has geographic, demographic, and sociological conditions that cause Indonesia to have a relatively high percentage and risk of natural disasters. The Ministry of Finance noted that every year losses due to natural disasters reach Rp. 20 trillion. In addition, the impact of natural disasters on society is also negatively affected by economic conditions. This condition creates a real urgency for the role of all levels of society in making social contracts to help each other during emergencies. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is a form of corporate responsibility in paying attention to the welfare of the community as a form of corporate social and economic responsibility in carrying out its operations. Currently, the awareness of business entities in preventing natural disasters is still not optimal and the role of CSR is still limited to charity. This journal will review the role of companies through Corporate Social Responsibility (CRR) in reducing the risk of natural disasters in Indonesia.

Abstract:
This mixed-method research using PLS-SEM and fsQCA analysis aims to identify the factors that influence the behavioral intention of Indonesian housewives to adopt digital banking applications, particularly by examining the UTAUT2 model's variables. The study found that facilitating conditions, price values, and habits are significant factors that affect the behavioral intention of housewives to use digital banks. Furthermore, the study suggests that paying attention to the factors of effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and habits simultaneously is the most effective approach to generating behavioral intention factors in digital bank adoption. The findings have important implications for digital bank companies, the government, financial institutions, and fintech startups. Future research should strive to obtain a more even distribution of respondents from different regions in Indonesia to reduce bias and obtain results that truly represent the conditions of housewives in Indonesia as a whole.

Abstract:
This research intended to understand the factors affecting the acceptance of Bitcoin technology in Indonesia. It adopted the model of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), which took into account four influencing factors. Those were performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions. The factors of gender and age were assumed to moderate the relations between those four factors and use and behavioral intention. The empirical data for those factors were collected by questionnaires from 49 respondents. The statistical significance of the relationships was evaluated by multivariate regression analysis. The result is a model that matches the data with R2 = 0,678. It demonstrates a high level of fitness. The analysis suggests that the performance expectancy factor and the social influence factor greatly affect the behavioral intention to use Bitcoin with the values of t-statistic of 3,835 (p-value = 0,000) for the former factor and 1,948 (0,059) for the latter factor. However, the social influence factor has less profound effect on the behavioral intention.

Abstract:
The use of English in several Indonesian film titles is a reality that has been seen since the collapse of the New Order era in 1998. Aspects of social conditions and historical background led to the assumption that the use of English in several Indonesian film titles is related. Therefore, this study aims to prove this assumption by using qualitative methods and a phenomenological approach supported by literature studies in examining social conditions and historical contexts that encourage the birth of phenomena in the Indonesian film industry based on a cultural perspective by applying Bourdieu's habitus theory. emphasizes habitus as a historical product and the role of English in Indonesia after the collapse of the New Order era. The results of the study prove that the rapid development of Indonesian cinema, in terms of the use of English in a number of Indonesian film titles, cannot be separated from the historical context, globalization, and social conditions that underlie its emergence. Such a phenomenon then becomes a recurring habit in the Indonesian film industry which shows that habitus is a product of history. This is also a sign that departs from the increasing role of English in the post-New Order era, because there is no longer any control or restriction on the use of Indonesian under the pretext of uniformity and improvement of national identity.
