Abstract:
Urbanization is still the main step taken by the community to get improved living conditions. Many developing countries have a high level of urbanization in cities due to the certainty of higher income levels. However, the problems that arise as a result of urbanization concern the environmental and social impacts of society. The purpose of this study is to show that the consequences of urbanization carried out by the community have a serious impact on environmental conditions. Urbanization, FDI, and fuel consumption affect environmental conditions as seen from the indicator of increasing carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) in Indonesia in 1990-2016.

Abstract:
<p class="apa">Since 1998, regional governments in Indonesia have had greater autonomy due to the commencement of a reformation movement across Indonesia. Large portions of education management were delegated to the regional governments. Because of this, the education level varies strongly across Indonesia’ provinces. Referring to the data provided by the Indonesian Bureau of Statistics, it is found that Eastern Indonesia generally has a higher rate of uneducated than Western Indonesia. We review the current condition of Indonesian education in terms of regional disparity among eastern and western provinces and study the correlation between inequality in education and other related aspects, such as social and economic conditions. We find that inequality issues on socio-economic conditions are reflected in the education disparity between Eastern and Western Indonesia. By employing panel data with provinces as units of observations, we find that the difference in regional development among Indonesian provinces influences education issues. By evaluating the standard deviation of the statistic we were able to identify socio-economic factors that influence the regional education disparity.</p>

The survey conducted on 317 telemedicine user in Indonesia and analysis using moderated regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, as many as 4 hypotheses were rejected while only three were accepted. The accepted hypotheses state that performance expectation and attitude, as well as the moderating effect of facilitating conditions, have an impact on the influence of social influence on telemedicine usage behavior. Meanwhile, the rejected hypotheses are those which state that there is a direct influence of effort expectancy, social influence, attitudes towards telemedicine usage behavior and moderating effects of facilitating conditions on the effect of performance expectancy and attitudes towards telemedicine usage behavior. As implications, telemedicine must be designed to offer greater benefits than conventional medical services, such as time savings and cost savings. Furthermore, despite the lack of a direct physical examination in telemedicine, the results of the diagnosis are expected to be accurate, resulting in the patient being more productive and healthy as a result of adopting telemedicine

Abstract:
Abstract The Indonesian state and local community have been conducting forest co-management as part of a new social forestry program initiative. This initiative is proposed to overcome environmental degradation as well as to enhance community well-being by increasing economic outcome of the forest. However, this program has the potential for conflict because of asymmetry between resources dedicated to approving social forestry permits versus capacity building, monitoring, and evaluating management outcomes. The social innovation approaches have been adopted as a potential solution to address complex social forestry program. This article aims to explore how social innovation and village governance in forest communities works. The research framework is designed by modifying the social innovation concept from the Theoretical, Empirical and Policy Foundations for Building Social Innovation in Europe (TEPSIE). Qualitative method is applied, by conducting in-depth interview and focus group discussion with forest policy experts, village authorities, and other stakeholders. Two neighbouring villages namely Sirnajaya and Tugu Utara in the Bogor District, West Java are visited. Sirnajaya represents village with strong government support by the Pilot Program for Incubation of Village Innovation in Local Economic Development (PIID-PEL), while Tugu Utara represents a strong society initiative in local development. The result reveals that social innovation has worked at different phases. However, good cooperation between formal and informal actors can have a better outcome on village development, compared to if each moves independently. The extension of social innovation and network of development can become an engine of village growth to the larger scope. The successful management for social forestry in Indonesia needs to be based on a hybrid governance model that needs to be “good” and “proper”. Therefore, the designs and practices for social forestry governance must be developed in more socially inclusive, reflected local social-economic, political, and cultural conditions.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to describe the public's reception of essays by Indonesian public figures, namely Dahlan Iskan, on social media. The ease with which social media is used to communicate has increased the involvement of the audience in receptive to a work. In fact, audience receptions on social media are often used as a reference in assessing whether or not a work is good. Therefore, research on reader reception on social media is interesting to do. This research uses qualitative methods and the research approach used is reception study. In this study, the theory of active audiences in the form of the encoding-decoding model proposed by Stuart Hall is also used. The results showed that there were three typologies of audiences in receptive to Dahlan Iskan's essays, namely there were four models of readers in receptive to DI essays on social media. The four reader models include (a) dominant-hegemonic readers, (b) negotiating readers, (c) oppositional readers, and (d) recreational readers. The categorization of this reader model is based on the position of the reader towards the text being received. Apart from these four categories, ideological-political readership models are also found, namely readers who are not dominant, negotiating, in opposition, or recreational. Readers of this model respond to the work by relating it to political conditions. Whatever works are received, readers of the ideological-political model always relate the content of the work and comment negatively on the political conditions in Indonesia.

Therefore, the goal of this study was to use Twitter-based social media text analysis to depict the Indonesian public’s impression of new normal conditions during the COVID-19 epidemic. We performed a text analysis on Twitter using the phrases “new normal” and “kenormalaan baru” with a time period of 1-31 July 2020 and location restrictions in Indonesia. The words associated with “new normal” are then described in a word cloud map and sorted in a flipped bar chart. We also performed a network bi-gram network analysis to identify word correlations in order to identify sentiments from Twitter text. When compared to other words, the word “covid” has the highest frequency. Other words linked with health protocols, such as “cuci” (wash), “tangan” (hand), “jaga” (maintain), and “jarak” (distance), appeared 1,138, 1501, 3.343, and 2.131 times, respectively, according to unigram analysis. Bigram network analysis reveals discrete clusters of phrases such as “protokol kesehatan” (health protocol), “wash hands” (cuci tangan), “jaga jarak” (physical distance), and “wear mask” (pakai masker). The word connections “covid,” “pandemi” (pandemic), “lupa” (forget), “maskernya” (the mask), “lakukan” (do), “social”, “distancing”, “luar” (outside), “rumah” (home) also conveyed a remark about standard measures in the new normal period.

Abstract:
2020 is a tough year for all people in the world, including Indonesia. This is due to the emergence of a new virus called Covid-19. In order to avoid a wider spread of the virus, the Indonesian government adopted the PSBB or Large-Scale Social Restrictions policy, one of which limits direct contact between humans. One of the business sectors affected by this policy is MSMEs, where business is daily in nature and relies heavily on direct interaction. After almost two months of implementing the PSBB in Indonesia, the government finally announced a new condition for Indonesia, namely "New normal". In order to be able to survive with the new normal conditions, MSME players are required to be able to adapt by prioritizing health protocols according to standards so that their business activities can continue to survive in competition. Therefore, a problem decoder is needed for MSMEs to be able to understand and apply standard health protocols in each of their business activities during the new normal period. This program provides guidance in the form of counseling and assistance to MSMEs regarding standard health protocols in business activities in new normal conditions so that they can adapt and maintain their business. In addition, Partners were also provided with standardized personal protective equipment and other health support tools that were able to help their business activities during the Covid-19 pandemic..

Abstract:
This research intended to understand the factors affecting the acceptance of Bitcoin technology in Indonesia. It adopted the model of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), which took into account four influencing factors. Those were performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions. The factors of gender and age were assumed to moderate the relations between those four factors and use and behavioral intention. The empirical data for those factors were collected by questionnaires from 49 respondents. The statistical significance of the relationships was evaluated by multivariate regression analysis. The result is a model that matches the data with R2 = 0,678. It demonstrates a high level of fitness. The analysis suggests that the performance expectancy factor and the social influence factor greatly affect the behavioral intention to use Bitcoin with the values of t-statistic of 3,835 (p-value = 0,000) for the former factor and 1,948 (0,059) for the latter factor. However, the social influence factor has less profound effect on the behavioral intention.

Abstract:
Indonesia has geographic, demographic, and sociological conditions that cause Indonesia to have a relatively high percentage and risk of natural disasters. The Ministry of Finance noted that every year losses due to natural disasters reach Rp. 20 trillion. In addition, the impact of natural disasters on society is also negatively affected by economic conditions. This condition creates a real urgency for the role of all levels of society in making social contracts to help each other during emergencies. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is a form of corporate responsibility in paying attention to the welfare of the community as a form of corporate social and economic responsibility in carrying out its operations. Currently, the awareness of business entities in preventing natural disasters is still not optimal and the role of CSR is still limited to charity. This journal will review the role of companies through Corporate Social Responsibility (CRR) in reducing the risk of natural disasters in Indonesia.

Abstract:
The importance of social capital in analyzing economic progress and development has long been acknowledged. However, little research has actually looked into how social capital functions and what role it plays in community development initiatives. This case study explores communities’ experiences of receiving CSR funds informing a community development program. The informants of this study were the participants of the CSR program from three communities forested by three companies’ CSR, which received reward funding from the Indonesian government. By using qualitative data collection, this study interviewed five to seven people who participated in the CSR programs or approximately 16 people. This study found five ways that social capital contributes to the success of a CSR program. They are (1) increasing the likelihood that people will participate in the program; (2) lessening individual ambiguity caused by certain program implementation uncertainties; (3) fostering morale and motivation among participants; (4) promoting knowledge sharing; and (5) strengthening the sense of togetherness. In the future, additional case studies from various regions of Indonesia and other nations may examine local conditions and diversity when implementing CSR programs.

Second, the socio-economic conditions of the family are part of the background for moral value education which is not optimally absorbed into the affective and psychomotor aspects. Third, the condition of the social environment has a big role in shaping student orientation, where the moral values of religion do not become the control lines for students in carrying out social interactions in society. This study concludes that the implementation of religious moral values in education in schools has a clash with family awareness in supporting education, learning models that are still limited to transfer of knowledge, and the social environment of society.

Abstract:
Objective – The number of participants in the labor social security program in Indonesia managed by BPJamsostek, namely the Labor Social Security Administering Body, is still relatively low compared to the number of people working in Indonesia. Labor social security practitioners, or Account Representatives, are tasked with carrying out the process of acquiring new participants. The competence of practitioners needs to be further investigated to ensure their performance in increasing membership coverage. Methodology/Technique – This study involved 335 practitioners in BPJamsostek branch offices in major cities throughout Indonesia. The sampling method used was purposive random sampling and the analytical tool used was descriptive statistical methods to map the perceptions and opinions of practitioners regarding their competence. Findings & Novelty – It is found that the practitioners are bachelor’s degree graduates who have various educational backgrounds. This is very useful for making acquisitions of potential participants who also have diverse work professional backgrounds from both formal and informal sector workers. Career opportunities up to the highest level in the institution for practitioners are also wide enough to become Director, even as President Director. It was also found that the majority of respondents, 93.1%, stated that they were ready to face future jobs in the context of participation in social security programs for employment. However, this readiness must be supported by the competencies that must be possessed by them, because 94.0% of the respondents stated that the competency development process was important and 52.5% stated that the opportunity to obtain competency development programs was not evenly distributed among practitioners. Abstract:
The problem that is often faced by developing countries is high-income inequality among the population. On the other hand, the development of digital technology occurs very quickly and encourages the community to play a more active role in economic activities. This condition needs to be further explored, especially considering its relation to income inequality in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of government policies and socioeconomic conditions on income inequality in Indonesia in the 2019-2021 period by analyzing secondary data in 34 provinces in Indonesia. The analytical method uses panel data regression with the selected model of the fixed effect model. The data was taken from the Central Bureau of Statistics, each provincial government's Directorate General of Finance, and the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. The results showed that the number of poor people significantly positively affected income inequality and regional minimum wages, and the information and communication technology development index negatively affected income inequality. In contrast, the human development index and social assistance spending had no impact on income inequality. The government must improve poverty alleviation programs to reduce the income inequality gap while expanding the accessibility of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to provide a better quality of life for the people. This study enriches previous research on the effect of socioeconomic conditions on income inequality by adding the newly developed ICT development index variable

Abstract:
This study aims to look at the diversity condition of Indonesian society related to the discourse of pluralism. Based on the fieldwork conducted from several regions in Indonesia; Samarinda, Manado, and Jakarta which is considered as representative regions in term of its dynamic diversity, by using a socio-political approach, the results of this study show that the condition of diversity in Indonesian society constitutes an asymmetrical discourse of pluralism; a plurality based on social conditions and phenomena that differ from one region to another, one community to another, and one case to another. The concept of pluralism does not merely a notion that emerge because of religious diversity and does not always shape people's behavior in facing diversity. On the contrary, the diversity of Indonesian society will enrich the concept of pluralism to be an ethnic, religious, and political pluralism.

Then, the environment refers to the objective conditions of the affected Indonesian perpetrators of the industry in question. Human existence that industry and the environment can not be denied existence. These two elements create unfair conditions, because industries practices often overlook the ethical values in the context of ecophilosophy. Low labor costs, the industries concentrated in Java and Sumatra, and monopolistic practices of natural resources, forests and pollution are concrete examples of industrial practice in Indonesia, which have a negative impact on humans and the environment. Injustice on others and the environmental crisis can not be avoided. Abstract:
Social conditions strongly influence changes in household income because they play a critical role in improving the household welfare of coastal fishing communities. The purpose of the study is to analyze the influence of social conditions on the growth of fisherman's household income in Makassar City, Indonesia. Quantitative research method using survey instrument was addressed to 46 fishers' households by applying the purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used was multiple regression with the exponential function model. This study found that social factors such as the age of the head of the family and the number of working family members contributed to changes in the increase in household income because they had a significant positive effect. On the other hand, the number of dependent household members did not contribute anything because it had a negative effect on changes in the income level of fishers' households. Likewise, the wife's level of formal education did not affect the household income. Related to social factors as a determinant of improving the fishers' household economy, efforts to increase it can be made through on-fishing and off-fishing. On-fishing is carried out with the support of a gross tonnage boat. Household members do off-fishing in postharvest handling, handling, processing, and marketing marine products.JEL Classification D10; Q22; Z10

Abstract:
Presentation of talk show host program has been known to be intelligent, smart, and is able to direct the conversation in the program well. The presentation is in line with the view of talk show programs packed seriously as a journalistic genre program with emphasis on the truth of the facts or information conveyed. However, in recent years there are different representations associated with the talk show host of the program. The representation shows that a talk show host is not such intelligent and smart, and is not able to direct the conversation in the program properly. The existence of this representation is consistent with the theory of social construction assuming that mass media play a major role in shaping the social reality in the society. As of this writing, the audience receives social reality as a representation. Like the previous presentation, as the television has broadcasted for a long time, people feel that the reality is normative and ideal conditions for them. Public realize that the social reality was only the reconstruction of the television when TV presents a representation of another social reality. Nevertheless, whatever the social reality that is deliberately made or reconstructed by the media, including television, in fact everything is a reality that is deliberately created just for the sake of the manager or owner of the television station.

Abstract:
This study aims to explore the reasons for the problems that trigger broader mass violence, both in the form of structural conditions in society as well as the factors that trigger crime and social dynamics that trigger mass violence. The main research method used is a qualitative approach to the type of research criminally. The results of the research show that at the end of this time the social integration ties that are owned by the community are not so strong that the provocateurs of violence in the community are able to ravage the solidarity that is intertwined within the community. The joints of democratic society which should function to normalize normal social-political interaction relations, in the end actually caused mass violence, such conditions create anomistic situations occur, members of society both individually and in groups are so easy to play their own way. Therefore, the legal institutions as a formal rule of the game and apply to everyone, are experiencing a crisis of authority. The fundamental reason why this happens is that there are often different legal decisions against each violator of the law. As a result, there is no certainty that the law is truly an objective norm that applies to all. People who have been relatively safe in the normalcy of their environment have turned into mutual suspicion. As a result of this, collective disappointment arises over legal institutions, so that losing motivation to obey the law people tend not to believe in the legal process, which results in acts of mass violence in the community.
