Робота виконана в обсязі 128 сторінок, містить 34 рисунків, 24 таблиць та 11 додатків. Метою дипломнї роботи є обґрунтування організаційного забезпечення міжнародної діяльності підприємства ТОВ «Агротехсоюз» з метою підвищення стабільності його діяльності. Об’єктом дослідження є процеси планування, організації, координації, контролю формування і реалізації управління міжнародної діяльності на підприємстві. Предметом дослідження є сукупність теоретичних, методичних і практичних підходів до розробки та реалізації ефективного управління міжнародної діяльності на ТОВ «Агротехсоюз». Для проведення дослідження, напрямів вдосконалення та обґрунтування шляхів удосконалення управління міжнародною діяльністю ТОВ «Агротехсоюз» в роботі використані діалектичний, статистичний методи, метод графічного та логічного аналізу, розрахунково–аналітичний, порівняльний, економіко– математичного моделювання та прогнозування, методи сучасних комп’ютерних технологій обробки економічної інформації, зокрема, пакет прикладних програм Microsoft Excel, Statistica. Розроблені в магістерській дисертації на здобуття ступеня магістра рекомендації та пропозиції щодо забезпечення розвитку міжнародної діяльності підприємства були представлені на розгляд ради директорів ТОВ «Агротехсоюз», де було визнано можливість практичного застосування в майбутньому окремих заходів та пропозицій щодо вдосконалення процесу управління міжнародною діяльністю ТОВ «Агротехсоюз» шляхом створення відділу ЗЕД на підприємстві; створення власного митного ліцензійного складу та долучення до програми фінансування «Coface» .

The work is done in a volume of 128 pages, contains 34 figures, 24 tables and 11 applications. The purpose of the diploma thesis is to substantiate the organizational support of the international activity of the enterprise of Agrotechsoyuz LLC in order to increase the stability of its activity. The object of study is the processes of planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling the formation and implementation of management of international activity in the enterprise. The subject of the research is a set of theoretical, methodical and practical approaches to the development and implementation of effective management of international activities at Agrotechsoyuz LLC. Dialectical, statistical methods, method of graphical and logical analysis, calculation and analytical, comparative, economic and mathematical modeling were used in the research, directions of improvement and substantiation of ways of improvement of management of international activity of Agrotechsoyuz LLC. economic information processing, in particular, Microsoft Excel application software, Statistica. The paper proposes to improve the process of managing the international activities of Agrotechsoyuz LLC by establishing a foreign economic activity department at the enterprise; creation of its own customs license warehouse and joining the Hermes financing program.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to suggest ways to effectively utilise Activity-Based Costing and Activity-Based Managment within Eskom Transmission Southern Grid to improve decision making towards improved business and financial performance. The ultimate purpose was to assist managers and staff to implement ABC and ABM effectively for improved business and financial performance. The focus was on the following objective: To suggest ways to effectively utilise ABC & ABM within Eskom Transmission Southern Grid as to improve decision making and business financial performance. Given the selection of management tools available, instruments such as ABC and ABM are usually not implemented alone, but may be supported by one or more approaches. For this reason ABC and ABM are contrasted with several other popular instruments mentioned in the literature. The instruments are: • The value chain; • Continuous improvement; • The theory of constraints; and • Total quality management. Insight will be given to provide managers with more accurate information regarding maintenance for the Grid and tools in identifying critical bottlenecks. By applying the TOC, TQM and continuous improvement strategies, managers will be able to make improved decisions, leading to improved financial performance in the Eskom Transmission Southern Grid. iii The literature study revealed that ABC and ABM prove to be the cornerstone for informed decision making. Since organisations are highly dependent on quality information to make these informed decisions, ABC and ABM reorientate the organisation towards understanding and managing work processes thus impacting financial performance positively. ABC and ABM trace the cost of activities such as engineering and procurement to how maintenance benefits from these activities. The empirical study consisted of a structured questionnaire distributed to a sample population of engineers and managers in Eskom Transmission Southern Grid in Port Elizabeth. It was aimed at gathering information about the use of ABC and ABM within the Grid. Semi-structured interviews were also conducted with financial staff in the Grid and a focus group interview with engineering staff was done. The main findings of the empirical investigation revealed that management and staff lack insight into the use of ABC and ABM and how it can be integrated with existing improvement systems within the organisation. This study is concluded with a number of recommendations. These recommendations address the shortcomings and improvements that can be made to improve the utilisation of ABC and ABM within the organisation. The recommendations address the following: • Ensuring full commitment towards organisational goals and broadening the endorsement of ABC within the organisation; • Highlighting the importance of financial performance throughout the Grid; • Training of Managers, finance staff and engineers is required for proper execution of the ABC system; • Implementers need skills and know-how of the ABC and ABM system ensuring full utilisation; • The main cost drivers are identified, prioritised and efforts channelled into these activities; • Tools such as the Theory Of Constraints and Total Quality Management from the proposed model would assist the Grid in identifying the bottlenecks of a system correctly, thus know explicitly the amount of slack capacity of each activity available during a specific time period.

Abstract:
This thesis aims at investigating the level of service at departure area of KKIA. The study further measures the perceived quality of service and passenger satisfaction in term of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy by using five steps of lean six sigma (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control). The study aims to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of using a lean six-sigma managerial approach to the departure area of KKIA to enhance the level of service (LOS) and customer satisfaction. The passenger flow through the airport is used to measure the quality of services. Existing studies that discuss lean six-sigma implementation in airports were evaluated. Data was collected about KKIA departure area and its LOS both before and after the lean six-sigma implementation. Additionally, a SERVQUAL questionnaire was used to evaluate pre- and post-implementation review. The questionnaire features easy-to-collect data to measuring the perceived quality of service and evaluate passenger satisfaction with the LOS in KKIA. Before the study concepts of LOS and Lean was unheard within the airport community. Initial evaluation show poor customer service and many delays (waste) within the departure are at KKIA. During the study a growing awareness of Lean and LOS showed improvements in the customers’ experience, e.g, removing the shop at the entrance, improving flow thought the airport. Concluding the study, there was a total reduction in waiting from 54.74 minutes to 34.87 minutes (35.7% reduction). Also the LOS on the IATA Performance Standard went from E (Inadequate) to C (Good). This is improvement, excellent but without continuous improvements the Airport’s LOS will reduce back as passenger numbers grow from 16 million passengers per year (up from 9.8 million in 2004), to an expected 25 million by 2025. Interesting different cultural approaches to lean management became evident during the study when compared to other implementations in Europe to the Middle East. Cultural difference will always affected the reliability of the results. However, by considering these cultural effects in answering questions and interviews, the lean implementation was still successful. As culture changes are ongoing, evaluation of the situation at KKIA is required for ongoing improvements. Best-practice for the continued improvement of ongoing lean management is suggested for the departure area at KKIA. These key strategies and best-practice approaches are useful to future implementations at other airports.

From the theoretical perspective it is important to mention that, first of all, the scientific nature of the foreign economic activity means the development of this activity in accordance with objective economic laws. Practically according to this principle, management of international business transactions involves the organization of demand and supply of its products abroad, the price level, and the ratio to costs in the exporting country. One of the main problems of management of foreign economic activity is miscalculations - the knowledge of managers of enterprises of existing theories of international trade helps them to avoid a significant part of miscalculations, and additionally, it helps reasonably predict changes in international markets. We can, also, mention that this principle is especially important in the implementation of international financial calculations, which must be based on changes in exchange rates.
З теоретичної точки зору важливо відзначити, що, перш за все, науковий характер зовнішньоекономічної діяльності означає розвиток цієї діяльності відповідно до об'єктивних економічних законів. Практично відповідно до цього принципу управління міжнародними діловими операціями передбачає організацію попиту і пропозиції своєї продукції за кордоном, рівня цін і співвідношення до витрат в країні-експортері. Однією з головних проблем управління зовнішньоекономічною діяльністю є прорахунки-знання керівниками підприємств існуючих теорій міжнародної торгівлі допомагає їм уникнути значної частини прорахунків, а також, крім того, допомагає обґрунтовано прогнозувати зміни на міжнародних ринках. Ми також можемо відзначити, що цей принцип особливо важливий при здійсненні міжнародних фінансових розрахунків, які повинні ґрунтуватися на змінах валютних курсів.

Abstract:

International technology diffusion reflects global R&D production and collaboration that increasingly accompany other forms of international activity such as trade and foreign direct investment. This thesis studies country-level market flows of disembodied technology or intangibles trade. The main conceptual premise is that operations of MNC subsidiaries have a substantial effect on these market-based flows, consistent with public goods aspects of industrial knowledge and with theories on MNC R&D strategies. Extensive previous country-level work relating FDI and technology flows focuses largely on knowledge spillovers (benefits from involuntary, uncompensated knowledge flows). Further, this study considers simultaneously two types of MNC subsidiaries (foreign owned subsidiaries and overseas subsidiaries of domestic MNCs) to acknowledge the likely role of two-way FDI (measured by MNC activities) in intangibles trade. In turn, the influence of these subsidiary groupings on intangibles trade reflects varied motives of the underlying R&D investments. The predicted effects of MNC operations on intangibles trade result in hypotheses that are tested with published aggregate statistics from the U.S. balance of payments on total U.S. exports and imports in R&D services as the dependent variables.

Theoretically, the thesis introduces the concept of reverse knowledge transfer from international business research to the study of bilateral intangibles trade. More generally, the thesis contributes to the literature by integrating macro and micro perspectives useful to understand the direction and nature of disembodied technology flows. In particular, the conceptual approach is consistent with macro trade models (two-way trade and two-way FDI from new trade theory), international business research, knowledge-based and transaction costs theories of MNCs (internalization of knowledge production and transfer), and innovation theory (knowledge seeking/exploiting). Consistent with these theoretical considerations, the empirical implementation considers panel countries as both exporters/importers of intangibles and host/home countries of R&D-performing MNC subsidiaries. In turn, estimated equations use panel econometrics to relate observed heterogeneity in the geographic structure of bilateral trade with the geographic distribution of MNC operations for the two types or groupings of MNC subsidiaries.

The main conceptual premise of this study was supported by the empirical findings. In the aggregate, U.S. MNCs and foreign MNCs with U.S.-located subsidiaries appear to engage in knowledge seeking R&D investments that influence transactions captured in balance of payment statistics. At the same time, the hypotheses regarding the effect of value added operations were not sustained statistically, failing to support knowledge exploiting as conceptualized here.

International transactions in intangibles in the form of services trade have yet to be integrated in the mainstream S&T policy literature. The analysis of aggregate R&D services trade pursued in this study may complement research on industrial knowledge flows based on other S&T indicators (or levels of aggregation) thus potentially allowing monitoring and analysis of international technology diffusion earlier in the innovation cycle (e.g., before or apart from patenting), and suggests the potential of non-spillover flows as targets of international S&T policy tools, perhaps in conjunction with trade and investment policy frameworks. The study also discusses the need for enhanced and integrated domestic and international statistics on R&D and related intangibles to support future research and the design or modification of policy tools to monitor and facilitate cross-border flows of industrial knowledge.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to investigate if cultural backgrounds affect how staff from Scandinavian international schools view school development. The study is based on the alternative hypothesis that cultural backgrounds affect school development. A survey was sent to seven Scandinavian international schools with questions designed to detect the views respondents have on school development based on the two most prominent school development perspectives; school improvement and school effectiveness. I investigated and analyzed respondents’ views about their own development work at their school today and what they would like it to look like. In addition, I examined what processes and standards they considered important when engaged in school development work. Also, I wanted to see if there were any differences in views depending on where the respondents had had their higher education, were born, or if years spent in Scandinavia had influenced their views. The results indicated that it is not statistically likely that respondents’ cultural backgrounds affect their views on school development. There could be many reasons for this outcome but since these have not been studied, I can only speculate. One reason could be that the majority of the respondents have spent more than ten years in Scandinavia which might have homogenized the respondents’ views on school development.  Another reason could be that the majority of the respondents come or have had their higher education in either an English speaking country or in Scandinavia.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The South African Government has set a target to halve poverty and unemployment by 2014. In an attempt to achieve this target a number of projects were initiated, one of which is the National Tooling Initiative (NTI). Local structures were established to encourage co-operation and competitiveness among the Small Micro and Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) by using the cluster concept. Consequently the Western Cape Tooling Initiative (WCTI) was formed to focus on and address the needs of the toolmakers in the Western Cape. It was highlighted during the interview with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the WCTI that some of the toolmakers are limited in terms of the size of orders they could handle due to lack of capacity. Discussions and research showed that in addition to the cluster initiative, a model such as the Order Fulfilment Process (OFP) could be used to encourage toolmakers to play a role in the activities within the OFP which they are strong in and collectively tender for contracts which they cannot fulfil on their own. Coupled to the OFP, it was decided that activity based costing would be used to assist with the cost allocation of the activities along the OFP. Furthermore, some of the activities within the OFP would be centralised i.e. order taking and invoicing, while others would be decentralised i.e. manufacturing and distribution. The research study showed that although the office of the WCTI is fully established, there is a need to better understand and analyse the actual state of the toolmakers, their profile and capability. Once this information is available, the WCTI would be in a better position to make meaningful decisions about the appropriate plan of action. Concurrently, the WCTI need to also learn about the business opportunities that are available to the toolmakers and begin to exploit them. The aim of the study was to help improve the performance of the toolmakers through co-operation by using the order fulfilment process model complemented by activity based costing. The objective of the research project was to develop a framework that should be used by the WCTI to encourage co-operation among the toolmakers to improve their competitiveness.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Die Suid-Afrikaanse regering het aan hulself die doelwit gestel om teen 2014 armoede en werkloosheid te halveer. In ‘n poging om hierdie doelwitte te bereik, is ‘n aantal projekte van stapel gestuur, waarvan die “National Tooling Initiative” (NTI) een is. Plaaslike strukture is gevestig om samewerking en mededinging aan te moedig tussen die klein-, mikro- en medium- sake-ondernemings (SMMEs) deur die gebruik van ‘n groeperingskonsep. Gevolglik is die “Western Cape Tooling Initiative” (WCTI) tot stand gebring om te fokus op die behoeftes van die gereedskapmakers in die Wes-Kaap en hul behoeftes aan te spreek. In ‘n onderhoud met die Hoof Uitvoerende Beampte van die WCTI is aandag daarop gevestig dat sommige van die gereedskapmakers beperk word in terme van die grootte van bestellings wat hulle kan hanteer as gevolg van hul gebrek aan kapasiteit. Gesprekke en navorsing het getoon dat ‘n model soos die bestellingvoltooingsproses (Order Fulfilment Process (OFP)) gebruik kan word om gereedskapmakers aan te moedig om ‘n rol te speel in die aktiwiteite binne die OFP waarin hulle sterk is en gesamentlik tenders in te dien vir kontrakte wat hulle nie op hulle eie kan hanteer nie. Tesame met die OFP, is daar besluit dat aktiwiteitsgebaseerde kosteberekening gebruik sou word om te help met die bepaling van koste-allokasie van die aktiwiteite binne die OFP. Verder sal sommige van die aktiwiteite van die proses gesentraliseer word, naamlik die neem van bestellings en fakturering, terwyl ander gedesentraliseer sou word, naamlik vervaardiging en verspreiding. Die navorsingstudie het getoon dat, alhoewel die kantoor van die WCTI ten volle gevestig is, daar steeds ‘n behoefte bestaan om die werklike toestand van die gereedskapmakers, hulle profiel en kapasiteit te begryp en te ontleed. Wanneer hierdie inligting beskikbaar is, sal die WCTI in ‘n beter posisie wees om betekenisvolle besluite te neem rakende die gepaste plan van aksie. Verder moet die WCTI ook hulself vergewis van die sakemoontlikhede wat vir die gereedskapmakers beskikbaar is en dit begin benut. Die oogmerk van die studie was om die werkverrigting van die gereedskapmakers deur samewerking te verbeter deur middel van die OFP wat ondersteun word deur aktiwiteitsgebaseerde kosteberekening. Die doel van die navorsingsprojek was om ‘n raamwerk te ontwikkel wat deur die WCTI gebruik kan word om samewerking onder die gereedskapmakers aan te moedig en hul mededingendheid te verbeter.

Le nouveau Règlement Sanitaire International (RSI) de 2005 adopté par l’OMS a posé les règles d’une nouvelleorganisation et de règles pour une meilleure coopération entre les Etats et un renforcement des actions de l’OMS enfaveur de la lutte contre les maladies épidémiques.L’application du RSI est complexe pour les Etats et nécessite une organisation qui doit être soutenue par un guideméthodologique opérationnel.Nous avons analysé leurs organisations pour comprendre quels étaient les points de faiblesse et tenter d’y répondre parun référentiel de management simple, adapté et cohérent vis à vis des systèmes de surveillance.Pour obtenir ce résultat nous avons développé et déployé une méthodologie appliquée au niveau mondial. Cetteapproche méthodologique en 6 temps est basée sur une approche processus avec une cartographie des systèmes desurveillance, un positionnement dans les principes de l’amélioration de la performance et le PDCA tout en s’appuyant surla norme ISO 9001 comme référentiel d’étude.Cette méthodologie a permis l’analyse des systèmes de surveillance dans le monde entier et l’évaluation desconcordances avec les exigences du RSI. Nous avons fait un parallèle avec la norme ISO 9001 afin de voir s’il étaitpossible de positionner un système dématérialisé comme les systèmes de surveillance des maladies épidémiques surun référentiel connu et éprouvé.Ce travail nous a amené à proposer un modèle basé sur le management de la qualité par la performance, plus soupleque la norme ISO 9001, trop rigide pour des systèmes dématérialisé comme les systèmes de surveillance qu’il convientmaintenant de rédiger et de déployer
The new International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005 adopted by WHO has set the rules of a new organization and therules for improved cooperation among states and for strengthening WHO's actions in fighting epidemics.Implementing IHR is complex and requires states to put in place systems that must be supported by an operationalmethodology guide. We analyzed their organizations to understand what were the weak points and to try to remedy by simple managementprocesses adapted and coherent with surveillance systems. To achieve this result we have developed and implemented a methodology applied worldwide. This methodological framework in 6 phases is based on a process approach with a map of surveillance systems, positioning in the principlesof performance improvement and the PDCA, while relying on ISO 9001 as a reference. This methodology has enabled the analysis of surveillance systems worldwide and assessing consistency with the IHR requirements. We made a parallel with ISO 9001 in order to determine if it was possible to introduce a dematerialized system as in the case of epidemic disease surveillance systems, using a known and proven reference framework. This work led us to propose a model based on quality performance management, more flexible than the ISO 9001, which is too rigid for dematerialized systems such as surveillance systems

Abstract:
This case study of international student participation in an undergraduate module in Management in a UK Business School arose from concerns that international students do not always meet institutional expectations of full participation. In the literature, the issues of language and culture have dominated discussion, while education theory has not been prominent. Using a post-Vygotskian framework (Activity Theory), the study set out to understand international student participation from the students’ perspective, taking account of the different elements of activity. It offers a holistic approach, placing the dominant themes in a broader context. The research was undertaken in two phases over a 12-month period using focus groups as the research instrument. Classroom observation, impromptu and planned interviews and correspondence with lecturers, as well as module documentation, contributed to a broader understanding of the context. The focus groups included both international and home students. Phase 1 enabled the conceptual framework to be assessed and refined for use as a coding frame. Following initial coding in Phase 2, the research focus was redefined as participants’ understandings of object-motive, and an in-depth analysis of this element was undertaken. Four module objects were identified: collaboration in diverse groups, task, academic study, and professional practice. In addition, participants identified some more personal objects. The impact of English language level and cultural background were quite extensively discussed, but not to the exclusion of other factors. The analysis indicated that focus group members’ experiences and understanding of participation in international classrooms were shaped by the objects they held in view. Thus, while the study identified the factors which participants understood as impacting on international students’ participation, the analysis of object-motive offered an explanatory framework for understanding the importance they assigned to these. The study highlights the prominence of task-based group work in the module, and questions the extent students were prepared for this type of pedagogy. It notes that home students in particular might benefit from opportunities to increase their intercultural awareness. Participants’ apparent concern for the language and academic levels of some international students may reflect the English language and academic levels of international students at entry into the institution, and serve as a reminder of the importance of well-considered entry decisions.

Entrepreneurship research is becoming more critical to policymakers and scholars around the world. However, few scholars have explored the effect of national culture or institutions on the entrepreneurial activity using cross-national data. Furthermore, most previous scholars have been limited to formal institutions as a theoretical structure to explore the entrepreneurial activity across countries. It is crucial to include formal, informal institutions and culture to better understand about how much or why entrepreneurial activity differs across countries. To fill this gap, this study investigates how national culture and institutions impact the level of entrepreneurial activity across 30 countries using cross-national dataset from the World Bank Dataset, the GEM report, and Hofstede’s cultural dimensions during the 5-year period from 2009 to 2013. Moreover, this study used two distinct measures of the level of entrepreneurial activity as dependent variables (i.e., the rate of new start-up companies and Total Entrepreneurial Activity). The results showed that individualism, uncertainty avoidance, power distance, and long-term orientation are essential for explaining the level of entrepreneurial activity across countries. However, the results indicated that only one of the regulative dimensions (i.e., the number of start-up procedures) was significantly related to the level of entrepreneurial activity. Therefore, the finding of this study concludes that national culture may play more important roles than institutions regarding the level of entrepreneurial activity across countries.

This diploma thesis is focused on optimizing administration management in the Czech telecommunication office. The thesis has three essential objectives. The first objective is the analysis of present state of the administration management using the process modelling. The second objective is to identify the real potential for improvements of the process group. That means to specify process priority, estimate current and desired levels of process maturity, identify key activities and determine the level of process description and processing framing tables. These activities are supported by the methodically theoretical text at the first part of the thesis. The evaluation of limits determining potential improvements resulted from previous chapters and is contained in the final part of this thesis. The fundamental objective of this work is to design the optimization of the process group using the form of future projects.

The diploma thesis called "Optimization of processes in procurement departmenf of FMCG company" is focused on the optimization of procurement processes in an unnamed FMCG company. The main goals of this work include the analysis of similar solutions in business process optimization and selection of appropriate methods and procedures. Other objectives are to analyze the current state of processes, their support and maturity and potential improvement identification in selected processes. Last goal is a suggestion of project proposals designed to achieve potential improvement identification in the analyzed procurement processes. Contribution of this thesis is to analyze the purchasing process from the perspective of process maturity, its priorities, support and potential for improvement. Modelling of current processes in a unified methodology and tool is another benefit of this work. The diploma thesis called Optimization of processes in a distribution company is focused on a firm, fictionally named ABC Ltd which, however, represents a real distribution company, a holding company to be precise, whose parent company is based in the Czech Republic and its subsidiaries are located in Italy, China and Australia. The overall number of staff of the whole concern is sixteen, so it falls into the category of small companies. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the company's processes. The greatest benefit of the thesis is saving the company's expenses based on optimization of the company's processes. In the introduction to the paper all the goals and benefits are stated. The next chapter reveals a brief description of skills that are vital for working on the practical part of the paper and meeting all the goals that have been set at the beginning. The introduction to the practical part deals with introducing the company ABC Ltd. The main topic of this part is the analysis of the present state of the firm's enterprise architecture. One of these architectures, the process one, describes the company's processes which are divided into the main and the supporting ones. In the main processes the potential for improvements is identified. The conclusion brings evaluation of the limits which follow from the revealed potential and suggestions for supporting the limits in the form of project solution.

The paper considers the concept and features of the international competitiveness of enterprises in the instrument-making industry, determines the factors of influence on the international competitiveness of instrument-making enterprises, and studies methods for assessing the international competitiveness of instrument-making enterprises. Also, the characterization of LLC «Telekart-Pribor» as a subject of foreign economic activity is carried out, the factors influencing the international competitiveness of LLC «Telekart-Pribor» are analyzed, the international competitiveness of LLC «Telekart-Pribor» is assessed. Recommendations for improving the foreign economic activity of LLC «Telekart-Pribor» were developed, ways of increasing the competitive advantages of LLC «Telekart-Pribor» products were substantiated.

Перелік посилань нараховує 50 найменувань. Метою дослідження є: обґрунтування необхідності підвищення ефективності каналів збуту підприємства. Об'єктом дослідження є: управління посередницькою діяльністю в каналах розподілення підприємства ТОВ «Дюпон-Україна». Предметом дослідження є: стратегічні альтернативи підвищення ефективності каналів збуту підприємства. У роботі для досягнення поставленої мети було використано такі методи дослідження: системний підхід (для дослідження проблем підвищення ефективності каналів збуту підприємства); фінансово-економічний аналіз (для дослідження діяльності підприємства); графічний (для наочного представлення результатів дослідження); методи аналізу та синтезу; метод класифікації; метод абстрагування; серед емпіричних було застосовано методи порівняння та вимірювання; методи структурно-логічного та семантичного аналізу. Результати дослідження можуть бути використані вітчизняними торговельними підприємствами для підвищення ефективності управління посередницькою діяльністю в каналах розподілення в сучасних умовах, зокрема ТОВ «Дюпон-Україна». Розроблена в дипломній роботі стратегія підвищення ефективності каналів збуту підприємства була представлена на розгляд керівному складу ТОВ «ДюпонУкраїна», де було визнано можливість практичного застосування в майбутньому окремих заходів та пропозицій. Можливими напрямами продовження досліджень можуть бути альтернативні шляхи просування товару підприємства на зовнішній ринок, розроблення та обґрунтування іншої стратегії підвищення ефективності каналів збуту підприємства.
Bachelor's thesis "Increasing of the efficiency of import activities (for example "DuPont Ukraine" LLC.)" includes 110 pages, 20 tables, 9 drawings, 3 formulas. The bibliography list consists of 50 items. The purpose of the work is to: substantiate the need to increase the efficiency of the sales channels of the enterprise. The object of the research is: the management of brokerage activity in distribution channels of the company "DuPont Ukraine" LLC. The subject of the study is: strategic alternatives of improving the efficiency of sales channels of the enterprise. The following research methods were used to achieve the goal: a systematic approach (for studying the problems of increasing the efficiency of sales channels of the enterprise); financial and economic analysis (for studying the state of activity of the enterprise); graphic (for visual presentation of research results); methods of analysis and synthesis; classification method; method of abstraction; among the empirical methods of comparison and measurement were applied; methods of structural-logical and semantic analysis. The results of the study can be used by domestic trading enterprises to increase the efficiency of the management of brokerage activity in distribution channels in modern conditions, in particular "DuPont Ukraine" LLC. The strategy of increasing the efficiency of sales channels of the enterprise developed in the thesis was submitted to the management of “Dupont Ukraine” LLC, which recognized the possibility of practical application in the future of certain measures and proposals. Possible ways to continue research can be alternative ways to move the company's product to the foreign market, to develop and justify another strategy to increase the efficiency of the enterprise's sales channels.

The diploma thesis is focused on software process improvement in very small entities. It contains description of benefits that can be achieved by implementing such improvements. The focus is on the use of the fairly new ISO/IEC 29110 international standard and the basic profile of ISO/IEC 29110 standard for software engineering in particular. The standard is also suitable for use in system engineering. However, such application is not discussed within this diploma thesis. The aim of the work was to promote dissemination of information regarding said standard in the Czech Republic. The thesis, therefore, describes advantages of conforming to the standard and issues that the standard deals with. Thus, the attractiveness of the standard for very small entities is expected to increase. Furthermore, the thesis describes the importance of centers (organizations) providing support for very small entities. These centers are dedicated to spreading information about the standard and helping VSEs with the implementation of ISO/IEC 29110 into practice. The possibility of creation of such center in the Czech Republic is discussed in the thesis. A description for the center is provided designed based on information about similar foreign centers and their experiences gained during execution of pilot projects aimed at implementing the ISO/IEC 29110 processes and practices. In the practical part of the thesis, an informational website about ISO/IEC 29110 has been designed and created. The website will serve as a source of information regarding the ISO/IEC 29110 standard in the Czech Republic. It will also promote the activities of the center for very small entities and provide organizations with possibilities of collaboration. I regard the main contributions of the thesis to be: evaluation of center's competencies needed promote the use of ISO/IEC 29110 in Very Small Entities for example by an execution of pilot projects us; and the creation of a website that can be used to concentrate knowledge about the ISO/IEC 29110 standard and to share it among the target audience.

The analysis of the international competitiveness of LLC «Agroprime Holding» is carried out, the type of strategy of increase of international competitiveness of LLC «Agroprime Holding» is substantiated, the factors of internal and external environment determining success of strategy of increase of international competitiveness of LLC «Agroprime Hold» are revealed. Встановлено місце та значення судово-експертних установ в системі правоохоронної діяльності України; з’ясовано поняття та особливості контролю як способу забезпечення законності за діяльністю судово-експертних установ України; охарактеризовано правові засади здійснення контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ України та встановлено місце серед них адміністративно-правового регулювання; визначено систему та межі контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ; окреслено мету, завдання та принципи контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ; розглянуто систему суб’єктів контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ та встановлено особливості їх адміністративно-правового статусу; з’ясовано об’єкт та предмет контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ; встановлено адміністративні форми та методи здійснення контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ; узагальнено зарубіжний досвід здійснення контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ та опрацьовано можливості його використання в Україні; переглянуто критерії оцінювання ефективності контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ; запропоновано напрямки оптимізації системи суб’єктів контролю за діяльністю судово-експертних установ та удосконалення їх взаємодії.
В диссертации приведено теоретическое обобщение и новое решение научной проблемы – выяснение сущности и особенностей административно-правовых основ осуществления контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений Украины, что легло в основу выработки соответствующей концепции, а также предложений и рекомендаций по совершенствованию законодательства в этой сфере. По результатам работы наработан ряд научно-практических выводов и рекомендаций. Установлено место и значение судебно-экспертных учреждений в системе правоохранительной деятельности Украины; раскрыто историческое развитие системы контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений Украины; выяснено понятие и особенности контроля как способа обеспечения законности в деятельности судебно-экспертных учреждений Украины; охарактеризованы правовые основы осуществления контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений Украины и установлено место среди них административно-правового регулирования; определена система и пределы контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; обозначены цели, задачи и принципы контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; рассмотрена система субъектов контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений и установлены особенности их административно-правового статуса; выяснен объект и предмет контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; установлены административные формы и методы осуществления контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; предоставлено определение понятия и обозначены виды государственного контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; раскрыты особенности ведомственного контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; охарактеризован самоуправляемый контроль за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; выяснена сущность общественного контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; систематизированы проблемы участия международных организаций и других субъектов международного права в процессе контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; обобщен зарубежный опыт осуществления контроля за деятельностью судебно- экспертных учреждений и обработаны возможности его использования в Украине; пересмотрены критерии оценки эффективности контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений; предложены направления оптимизации системы субъектов контроля за деятельностью судебно-экспертных учреждений и совершенствование их взаимодействия.
The place and significance of forensic institutions in the system of law enforcement activities of Ukraine have been established; the concept and specific features of control as a method to ensure the rule of law over the activities of forensic institutions of Ukraine have been found out; the legal principles of exercising control over the activities of forensic institutions of Ukraine have been characterized and the place of administrative and legal regulation among them has been established; the system and limits of control over the activities of forensic institutions have been determined; the purpose, objectives and principles of control over the activities of forensic institutions have been outlined; the system of control entities over the activities of forensic institutions has been studied and the peculiarities of their administrative and legal status have been established; the object and subject matter of control over the activities of forensic institutions have been clarified; administrative forms and methods of control over the activities of forensic institutions have been established; international experience of exercising control over the activities of forensic institutions has been generalized and the possibilities of its application in Ukraine have been worked out; the criteria for assessing the effectiveness of control over the activities of forensic institutions have been revised; the author has suggested directions for the optimization of the system of entities of control over the activity of forensic institutions and improvement of theirinteraction.

Abstract:
This study sets out to prove that Activity-Based Management is still a relevant instrument to facilitate effective management decision-making and organisational improvement. In the light of all the latest techniques and methodologies that currently exist to measure and rectify organisational performance, the obvious question might be “but why Activity-Based Management?”. Whilst certain techniques and methodologies concentrate on either inputs, outputs and / or on the entire process, Activity-Based Management was selected because it specifically analyses the activities (transformation component) of a business, plus the fact that this methodology has been refined and tested with great success in large organisations such as Eskom. Given the selection of management tools available, an instrument such as Activity-Based Management is usually not implemented alone, but may be supported by one or more other approaches. For this reason, Activity-Based Management is contrasted with several other popular instruments in the literature review. If properly applied, Activity-Based Management can provide management with a sound decision-making platform for correctly aligning resources and work activities. It produces cost information by linking human resource costs to activities and then tracks these human resource costs (inputs) by activity (transformation) and traces them to the point where products and / or services (outputs) reach their destination / customers (result). It also serves as a useful base to improve strategic and operational decisions and for reviewing and updating the organisation structure of a business. This study reworks and researches previous data related to a project carried out by Eskom (exploratory research) with the purpose of testing the primary research objective. Based on a predetermined dictionary of activities and an associated data collection form, a census was used to collect the data. The resulting reports highlight the main obstructions to effective performance and they mainly relate to an imbalance of time expenditure amongst the various activities performed, an outdated organisation structure and a misalignment of effort with the new vision and strategies formulated. The study is concluded with a number of recommendations for improvement and for further study. Briefly, these recommendations address:  shifting the focus from support to core activities and placing a higher emphasis on activities that support the new vision and strategies of the business;  eliminating unnecessary activities and reducing the amount of time wasted; and  eliminating fragmented work, dealing with surplus manpower numbers and revising the organisation structure.

There is an old saying “A seed will grow become a great tree after thousand years because it chose the right spot to land and survived through trails.” Employee development is critical in various ways; in order to increase employee skill and value, correct approach has to be chosen. Skilled employee is one of the most important key to increase enterprise competitiveness. There are different approaches to achieve that, and Total Production Management is one of it. TPM provide variety levels of improvement in both vertical and horizontal way, to be specific, such as cost reduction, capacity enhancement, and company physical structure strengthening. The object of this case study is to generate a new TPM process in OEM industry. This case study is under the assumption of associated company: A, already implemented TPM 12 steps construction and tends to develop a new concept of TPM that has 16 steps base on the nature of industry. In order to make sure the new TPM process is complete and mature, testing extra 4 new TPM steps, which including increase consult quality/quantity, creating manager development program, implementing internal auditing, and rewarding is the methodology of this case study. To conclude, TPM criteria such as PQCDSM met initial goal and company sales growth increased 25% since new TPM was implemented. There for, the new approach of 16 steps TPM can bring positive growth and create unique individual business model for enterprise.

To face the competition in the global market, due to a lack of resources, does a local small international-express service company have competitiveness when compared to those well-known international big companies? Or, does a local company have more flexibility than those big ones because of the small investment? To establish an activity-based costing (ABC) model and analyze the cost distribution in activities is a way to understand how a local company can survive in such a competitive market, or to establish some management strategies to increase the competition of the company. This is an interested research topic. The purpose of this study is: 1. to choose a local international-express service company as an example, 2. to establish an ABC model proposed and analyze its cost distribution for each activities so that some management problems of the company would be investigated, 3. to propose some management strategies for the company to correct those problems, and, finally, 4. to evaluate the performance of the company after the corrections. After the ABC analysis, this study has the following finds: 1. 92% of unit cost is from the batch-level activities, 2. the cost differences among products are due to batch-level activities. 3. the spring and summer unit costs are higher than that of fall and winter, and 4. the busy degree of the service lines also causes the cost differences. Two management strategies are proposed after the ABC analysis. The service frequencies of some batch-level activities are adjusted the cost differences due to above reasons are thus reduced, and the unit cost is hence reduced too.

Sailing Events has been rarely seen in the beautiful coast of Taiwan. For a long time due to martial law, people have not had the opportunity to explore in the ocean. However, after the martial law was lifted, there had not been any improvement and a constructive implementation of law practice. Therefore, marine sports is been carried out without a proper system, and no business or professional will participate in promoting the Sailing Events with the laws and regulations, and government restrictions. The Government intends to review the current initiations on ”open sky, no more martial law for coastline, return the ports to people, and increase land value.” So under the initiation of “lifting the martial law for coastline and return the ports to people” and with the cooperation from current government policy, hosting a Sailing Events will contribute to activity participation, enhance the quality of race management with international standards, and added values to related industries. It is the right timing to improve the quality of race management. Organize sailing events in Taiwan will need certain resources, including personnel-related training, the venue base location, and boat equipments. Hosting sailing events will expect to produce benefits such as increase international and domestic value of sport tourism and enhance leisure quality of people. Therefore, promoting sailing events will have a significant impact in the future of Taiwan marine sports. While domestically is still promoting marine based activities, internationally there are many sailing organizations that have been operating at a very matured level for a while. The domestic athletes still lag achievements in sailboat races versus international athletes, and lack access to upgraded information regards to Race Management System. At the same time, an international race system needs to be developed domestically to increase the quality of domestic athletes, coaches, jurys, sailing associations, and organizers. There still are rooms for improvement in the current domestic system. The purpose of this study is to explore and evaluate Sailing Regatta’s quality management and to be utilized to upgrade information, train talent, and act as reference material for Race events. There are more and more Keelboats joining the sailing festivity in the seas of Taiwan, but mostly are the cruiser type boats. The study of this thesis an be utilized as a guiding post in the future to satisfy these cruiser boats both with pleasure of leisure cruising and the excitement of speed through friendly race events.

Neste sentido, são cada vez mais as ferramentas disponibilizadas às empresas, que as auxiliam no processo de tomada de decisão, bem como no alcance de uma maior eficiência em todos os seus processos internos. É, também, por este motivo, que existe uma evidente necessidade de estar constantemente a inovar estas ferramentas, de modo a que as organizações consigam estar sempre um passo à frente dos seus concorrentes. O tema deste projeto surge, então, no seguimento da referida necessidade, tendo como objetivo adaptar uma ferramenta (já existente no mercado) – o modelo de custeio Activity-Based Costing – a uma empresa de Consultoria de Gestão, a Winning Management Consulting. In unstable and constant changing environments, as it is the current organizational world, it is notable the real need felt by companies on trying to overcome their competitors, in both employed strategy and auxiliary tools. In this way, there is an increase in the available tools in the market, which aim to help companies in their decision-making process and in the achievement of higher efficiency in the running of all their internal processes. Due to this, the necessity on being constantly innovating these tools outstands significantly in companies, in order to these to be always one step in front of their competitors. From this necessity arises the subject of this project, as it pretends to adapt an existing tool – the costing model “Activity-Based Costing” – to a management consulting company, named Winning Management Consulting. This application aims to prove the adaptability of this model to the Consulting sector, as there are so many benefits that a company may achieve from its application, namely in the assistance to the decision-making process and to the cost management. In parallel, the project will also contemplate a secondary analysis (a complement to the ABC model), which will allow the company to act not only upon the main processes (that were analyzed in the ABC), but also upon all the secondary processes, without which would not be possible the correct running of the business. In conclusion, this analysis aims to positively contribute to the model’s improvement.

Over the last few years, logistics has played an increasingly crucial role in organizations, as a source of competitive advantage and customer satisfaction. This project focuses on the assessment and improvement of the storage activity in the Logistics Centre of NOS, a Portuguese communications and entertainment group, classified as one of the main players in the telecommunications market, offering television, internet, voice and data services for all sectors, and the current market leader in the distribution and exhibition of cinematographic content through NOS Audiovisuais and NOS Cinemas. The logistics centre and inherent activities were analysed, particularly the storage activity, in order to, on a first stage, identify the main challenges that characterized the current situation of the company and, secondly, present improvement measures that responded to the problems previously identified. From this process resulted several solutions that, not only can leverage the storage activity performance, but also the entire logistics operation, since the different processes that constitute this system are strongly connected.
Ao longo dos últimos anos, a logística tem vindo a desempenhar um papel cada vez mais importante nas organizações, atuando como fonte de vantagem competitiva e de satisfação do cliente. O presente projeto foca-se na análise e melhoria da atividade de armazenamento no Centro Logístico da NOS, grupo de comunicações e entretenimento português, classificado como um dos principais players no mercado das telecomunicações, oferecendo serviços de televisão, internet, voz e dados para todos os sectores, e atual líder de mercado na distribuição e exibição de conteúdos cinematográficos através da NOS Audiovisuais e NOS Cinemas. O centro logístico e as atividades nele incorporadas foram analisadas, com maior foco na atividade de armazenamento, de forma a, numa primeira fase, identificar os principais desafios que caracterizavam a situação atual da empresa e, em segundo lugar, apresentar medidas de melhoria que respondessem aos problemas anteriormente identificados. The purpose of this study was to examine the perspective of the relationships among the free time management, leisure activities and well-being of international chain hotels staff in Taipei. The participants of this study were in-service international hotels staff in Taipei. In addition, the questionnaire method, “free time management scale,” “leisure activities scale,” “well-being scale” as well as SPSS were applied in the research. The individual variables used to analyze the data include sex, age, education, position, marriage, salary and length of service year. Of all the questionnaires given out, 282 out of 300 were valid (94%). The methods of analyzing the data include descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s, t-test, One-Way ANOVA and Scheffe’s related analysis. The findings revealed that: 1. Different age of international hotels staff show obvious difference on entertainment leisure activities. 2. Different marriage situation of international hotels staff show obvious difference on entertainment leisure activities, knowledge type of leisure activities and entire leisure activities. 3. Machinery skill of free time arrangement and knowledgeable leisure activities show obvious relationship to each other. 4. International hotels staff show obvious relationship between “free time arrangement and leisure activities”, “free time arrangement and well-being” and “leisure activities and well-being”. Under the trend of the global professional development in the business value chain, Taiwan plays a more important role in the high technology manufacturing especially in the semiconductor industry. After getting through the unprecedented depression in 2001, most enterprises had cut their cost and realized the importance of cost management. The newcomers of semiconductor industry in China have taken advantage of preferential duty by the Chinese government and lower cost structure to share the market in lesser sale price both which are clearly disclosed the priority of cost management. On the premise of how to make use of limited resources with efficiency without affecting the product, to achieve the best cost management, to make more benefits, to compete with those newcomers in China under strike of the semiconductor industry globalization, has become one of the requisites while keeping the competitiveness. This study is a case study from one of the famous semiconductor companies in Taiwan. By taking advantages of accurate cost allocation in the manufacturing process by the activity based costing and benchmark manufacturing cost, to build up the information system so as to provide the information of cost discrepancy among different factories with same manufacturing process, two achievements are found: (1) Quickly searching the best practice on the cost management for further learning; (2) Efficiently digging out the cost abnormality for improvement.

The construction industry has been suffering the economic downturn in recent years. With its competitive nature, the profit has been marginal; hence, all the construction companies, in order to survive, have tried to introduce new management models and change their modes of operations to improve their performances and enhance their competitiveness in the industry. They also hope to establish good management systems suitable for the construction cost, so that the business risks are decreased and the profit increased. Outsourcing procurement often depends on the indecisive policies and not coupled tightly with the operations on the sites, so ever so often the scheduled construction progress and the required quality cannot be achieved. Outsourcing procurement is the impelling force to launch and maintain a construction project. Without proper planning its operation procedures, the scheduled progress and the quality will be heavily compromised, let along keeping the cost under control. This paper focuses on the application of the knowledge structure of the project management, in attempt to introduce the five operation procedures and the nine fields of knowledge into construction management, so that the overall planning, integration and practice of procurement outsourcing can be coupled tightly with the operations on the sites. The actual procurement outsourcing procedures and result will be demonstrated and compared to the hypothetical situation where the construction project management is applied. According to this study, the employment of the construction project management on the procurement outsourcing is applicable as well as feasible, and it will be able to maintain scheduled progress, quality and keep the cost under control.

High manufacturing competitiveness in South Africa has the potential to contribute towards mitigating the poor economic performance and high unemployment rate prevailing in the country. However, manufacturing competitiveness is lacking, majorly due to labour productivity issues that are idiosyncratic to South Africa. One of the dilemmas is how to increase manufacturing productivity without major capitalisation, as doing so usually leads to redundancy and retrenchment of employees. A possible solution is to implement manufacturing performance improvement programmes without major capital investment (or capital-labour substitution). Although various programmes exist and are successful elsewhere in the world, these have been found to fail in South African firms due to implementation challenges. This study assesses the results from implementing a manufacturing performance improvement programme called Integrated Work Systems (IWS) in a South African factory of a multinational company (ABC). IWS has already proven successful in the multinational’s factories in other parts of the world. The study aims to determine the critical success-factors and develop a framework for the successful implementation of such a programme in South Africa. Implementation of IWS in ABC SA’s factory was found to be successful in delivering breakthrough results in efficiency and throughput. Critical success-factors established through surveying relevant employees and management in ABC SA were related to the timing and planning of the programme, standardisation of work, regular reviewing and use of leading KPIs, having specific implementation resources and the nature of leadership involvement. The critical success-factors found in ABC SA’s implementation were used as a basis for presenting a framework to guide practitioners in implementing manufacturing improvement programmes that aim to deliver higher levels of sustainable performance and improved shop-floor culture.

Abstract:
The main aim of this study was to investigate the implementation of the performance management system in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of the Botswana public service and to identify the factors that facilitated and hindered the successful implementation of the programme. This study used a mixed methods research design which combines both qualitative and quantitative research design. The study used the model of social programmes, which is a holistic and comprehensive analytical framework that is used to study the implementation of social intervention programmes. Research data was obtained using a triangulation of research methods (case study, evaluation research and survey method) and data sources (literature review, document analysis, self-administered questionnaires and follow-up personal interviews). A sample of 90 respondents was selected using the purposive sampling strategy. The study found that the implementation of the performance management system in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation was problematic because of unclear and ambiguous foreign policy goals and objectives; lack of broad-based support and critical mass of champions of the performance management system; use of command-and-control management model rather than empowerment and the adaptation model; inadequate human and institutional capacities; ineffective supporting systems of the performance management system; weak accountability and responsibility mechanisms; weak intra-ministerial and inter-ministerial communication, co-operation, collaboration and co-ordination; inadequate information and communications technology infrastructure and unfavourable international environment. This study contributed to the existing literature by investigating the implementation of the performance management system in the global environment from a public service perspective rather than a private sector perspective, which relies on the experiences of multinational companies. The study findings provide some invaluable insights that may improve the implementation of the performance management system in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of the Botswana public service by proposing recommendations to the identified problems. The recommendations include: setting clear and specific foreign policy objectives; creating a critical mass of champions of the performance management system; strengthening human and institutional capacities; promoting effective implementation and use of supporting systems of the performance management system; strengthening accountability and responsibility mechanisms; strengthening intra-ministerial and inter-ministerial communication, co-operation, collaboration, and co-ordination; strengthening decentralisation and empowerment principles and upgrading information and communications technology infrastructure.

У магістерській роботі досліджено напрями покращення інноваційної політики для аграрного підприємства. Дослідження базується на аграрному підприємстві ТзОВ «Слава», розташованому в Тернопільській області. Охарактеризовано розвиток підприємства та досліджено вплив інновацій на його продуктивність та якість послуг. Проведено аналіз сукупності фінансових, виробничих та управлінських відносин, інноваційних процесів, що формуються у процесі функціонування ТзОВ «Слава». Також було досліджено набір ключових рішень, і було визначено, якими повинні бути основні зони виробництва для забезпечення безперервності системи просування ТзОВ «Слава». На основі об'єкта дослідження запропоновано альтернативні напрями покращення інноваційної політики. Запропонований проект передбачає закупівлю нового виробничого обладнання для підприємства для підвищення продуктивності сільськогосподарського підприємства, зменшення відходів виробництва за рахунок використання пестицидів та дезінфікуючих засобів, а також збільшення персоналу для полегшення та покращення доставки сільськогосподарської продукції та послуг. Визначено ефект впровадження цього методуу досягненні стратегічних цілей ТзОВ «Слава». Проведено розрахунки періоду окупності, величини чистого прибутку та індексу прибутковості інвестицій.
In the master’s thesis the improvement on innovation policy for an agricultural company has been explored. The research is based on the agrarian enterprise AC LLC “Slava” located in Ternopil region. Studies of innovation and characteristics of development, its impact on productivity and the companies quality of services. Analysis of a set of financial, production and management relations, innovation processes that are formed in the process of function of AC LLC “Slava” was conducted. A set of key decisions were also investigated and it was distinguished what ought to be the essential zones of production for the continuity of AC LLC “Slava” advancement framework. Based on the object of study alternatives have been proposed to improve the innovation policy. The proposed project entails procuring new production equipments for the enterprise to increase the productivity of the agricultural venture, reduction of waste in produce by usage of pesticides and disinfectants, and increase int he staff to facilitate and improve delivery of agricultural produce and services. The effects of the implementation of this method on the achievement of the strategic goals of the company i.e AC LLC “Slava” were researched. Calculations for payback period, net profit value and profitability index on investment were provided.

UA : Мета дослідження: провести аналіз динаміки структури дитячого оздоровлення та відпочинку і стану мережі дитячих закладів оздоровлення та відпочинку всіх форм власності та типів як соціально-економічної системи у сучасних умовах та виявлення проблематики, що перешкоджає функціонуванню та розвитку дитячого оздоровлення та відпочинку в Україні та Запорізькій області. Об’єкт дослідження: публічна політика у сфері оздоровлення та відпочинку дітей. Предмет дослідження: публічна політика у сфері оздоровлення та відпочинку дітей у Запорізькій області. Недостатній контроль за рівнем матеріально-технічного забезпечення дитячих закладів оздоровлення та відпочинку всіх типів не сприяє створенню належних умов проживання та призводить до скорочення мережі дитячих закладів оздоровлення та відпочинку Запорізької області. Висновки: 1. На сьогоднішній день в Україні діє низка законів та нормативних актів щодо оздоровлення та відпочинку дітей: «Про оздоровлення та відпочинок дітей» від 2008 року, «Про охорону дитинства» від 2001 року, «Про позашкільну освіту» від 2000 року. 2. Регіональна система соціального захисту дітей являє собою цілеспрямовану діяльність місцевих органів влади, місцевих державних адміністрацій та недержавних організацій з реалізації законодавчо закріплених соціальних норм, що гарантує держава особам віком від 7 до 18 років. 3. Органи виконавчої влади в регіонах (місцеві державні адміністрації, об’єднані територіальні громади) разом з органами місцевого самоврядування складають регіональну систему управління соціальним захистом населення.
EN : Research purpose is to analyze the dynamics of the children’s health improvement and restoration structure, as well as the network state of the children’s health improvement and restoration institutions of all ownership forms and types as a socio-economic system in modern conditions and to identify problems that impede the functioning and development of children’s health improvement and restoration in Ukraine and Zaporizhzhia region in particular. Research object is public policy in the field of children’s health improvement and restoration. Research subject is public policy in the field of children’s health improvement and restoration in Zaporizhzhia region. Research methods are analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, structural and functional, statistical data analysis. Research novelty lies in theoretical foundations development that determine content and features of the public policy formation and implementation in the field of children’s health improvement and restoration. Research hypothesis is that insufficient control over the logistical support level of children’s health improvement and restoration facilities of all types does not contribute to the creation of proper living conditions and leads to a reduction in the network of children’s health improvement and restoration facilities in Zaporizhzhiaregion. Conclusions: 1. Nowadays, there is a number of laws and regulations inUkraine on children’s health improvement and restoration: “On children’s health improvement and restoration” dated 2008, “On the protection of childhood” dated 2001, “On extracurricular education” dated 2000. 2. The regional system of children’s social protection is a deliberate activity of local authorities, local state administrations and non-governmental organizations in the implementation of socially established norms, guaranteed by the state to persons aged from 7 to 18 years. 3. The executive power in the regions (local state administrations, united territorial communities) together with the local self-government bodies make up the regional system of social protection management of the population.

A logística é uma área fundamental para a competitividade das organizações pela adição de valor espaciotemporal ao produto/serviço. As suas atividades chave são o serviço ao cliente, o processamento de pedidos, a gestão de inventário e de transportes.A presente dissertação é o produto do estágio curricular, no âmbito do Mestrado em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial, na Efacec Power Solutions. O projeto consistiu num estudo de caso das unidades de Automação e de Transportes na Efacec, estando inserido no seu programa de melhoria contínua aplicado à logística. Neste sentido, procurou-se avaliar ineficiências do Processo de Gestão de Transportes considerando os benefícios esperados da redução dos custos, do lead-time e do aumento da taxa de ocupação.A obtenção de dados para estudo do problema foi possível através de observação, da análise de dados secundários (documentos e bases de dados internas) e de entrevistas (entrevistas não estruturadas e um Focus Group).Desta forma, conseguiu-se analisar as atividades e identificar os problemas no Processo de Gestão de Transportes, como por exemplo a ausência de planeamento antecipado das necessidades de transporte e de um sistema de avaliação de desempenho. Como resultado, foram sugeridas propostas de melhoria para cada um dos problemas identificados e feita a sua priorização, em termos do esforço e do impacto da implementação. As primeiras melhorias a serem implementadas, por terem esforço reduzido e elevado impacto são: iniciar o processo com planeamento antecipado das necessidades de transporte, negociação com base em acordos e o desenvolvimento de um sistema de avaliação de desempenho.Os transportes são o maior custo logístico e, portanto, ter um processo otimizado é crítico para melhorar o desempenho organizacional. Assim, esta investigação é relevante para a Efacec mas também para ser utilizada como base de benchmarking por empresas com processos similares.
Logistics is a fundamental area for the competitiveness of an organization by adding place-time value. Its key activities are customer service, order processing, inventory, and transport management.The present dissertation is the product of the curricular internship, within the Master’s Degree in Industrial and Management Engineering, at Efacec Power Solutions. This project consisted in a Case Study in the Automation and Transport units at Efacec, within the scope of its continuous improvement program applied to logistics. Therefore, it was sought to evaluate inefficiencies in the Transport Management Process to reduce costs, lead-time and increase freight consolidation, as these were the expected benefits.The data collection to study the problem was conducted through observation, analysis of secondary data (documents and internal databases) and interviews (unstructured interviews and Focus Group).In this way, it was possible to analyse the activities and identify problems in the transport management process, such as the inexistence of advance planning of transport needs and a performance evaluation system. As a result, some improvement proposals were made for each of the identified problems and prioritized, in terms of effort and implementation impact. The first improvement proposals to be implemented, as they have low effort and high impact, are the initiation of a process with an advanced planning of transport needs, agreements for frequent transport, and implementation of performance evaluation system.Transport is the main logistical cost, so having an optimized process is critical for organizational performance. Hence, this investigation is relevant to Efacec but it can also be used as benchmarking by other companies with similar processes.
